[6:38pm] You picked up your phone to check the time, then glanced back at Moonbin on the couch next to you. A mug still containing half a cup of warm tea sat on the table next to him as he focused intently on his work, quiet music coming through the speakers on his laptop. A large fuzzy blanket he’d given you as a gift, but which somehow ended up being used just as often by him, lay across both of your laps. The novel you were reading sat atop it, reluctantly closed with a bookmark placed neatly inside just before the good part. You checked your phone again and decided there was no way to delay it any longer.

“We should probably start heading to the theater now,” you said, breaking the silence. Moonbin blinked suddenly as if awakened from a trance, then checked the time on his laptop and frowned.

“You’re right,” he said.

You sat in silence together, neither one of you moving. A sound outside the window caught your attention and you turned to see that a gentle rain had started, blurring your view of the vibrant city lights below.

“I don’t want to move,” he said.

“Me neither,” you agreed.

The rain pattered on.

“…The movie will still be in theaters next week,” he said finally.

“Good thinking,” you replied. He smiled, touched his forehead to yours, then turned back to his laptop and got back to work. Outside, the rain got heavier, but you paid it no mind. Instead, you readjusted the blanket across your legs, leaned your head against Moonbin’s shoulder, and picked up your book, right where you’d left off.

Astro Love Reading - December Edition

Note: Please remember to take my words with a grain of salt ! You are free to ask a few questions about the reading, but if I don’t answer the request is probably because I am not comfortable with answering ! Also I won’t be divulging much about Moonbin’s. Next is Itzy and Ateez <3 Enjoy!

Jinjin

So Jinjin was in a relationship but not anymore. He was forced to brea up with this person for his own health reasons and also because he needed to protect himself, his image and his group he loves so much. So single, and very focused on his career

MJ

He isn’t in any relationship at the moment, despite really wanting to. But his company is very careful with whom he goes out with and for some reason they are very strict with MJ. He is also very focused on his work and doesn’t have much time for his love life unfortunately

Moonbin

Moonbin situation is very complicated and I believe there’s info I shouldn’t write so I will try to keep things simple. He is in a relationship with an idol and they are every happy together. They recently got a “new” and Moonbin has to make a very difficult choice in this relationship. Sacrifice or assume. Also there was cheating going on, but I can’t really tell if it was him or them.

Eunwoo

He isn’t in a relationship at the moment but Eunwoo’s heart is taken by his ex whom he still love very much. They separated due to work, but he is still trying to get them back, still messaging them and taking news as he wishes to be with them in the future.

Rocky

Rocky is in a relationship with an idol. Currently there’s a lot of arguments going on due to the lack of time spent together and other career related discussions but they will find a way through this

Sanha

Sanha’s reading broke my heart because this boy had the fattest crush on someone and when he finally decided to confess his feeling, the person was very mean and pitiful, attacking Sanha on his physic. He was left very hurt and at the moment his heart is closed as he is trying to take care of himself, thinking he needs to improve to be love deserving

Sanha: He was really young when they debuted so growing up, he had the chance of seeing how the entertainment industry worked and how exhausting it can get, so i think he'll be the most likely to want someone "normal"; someone who can ground him when he's starting to get carried away

JinJin: yes, he will always put his group before anything and we all know that but listen, he strikes me as someone who can be quite rebellious from time to time, maybe because he's always being the responsable one. he's attracted to the idea of being with someone who can take care of him

Eunwoo: maybe this came as a surprise but yes, i do see him dating a fan. remember that episode in which he went to see a girl who was aiming to study universal design? he seemed so relaxed and comfortable and actually, like he himself was just a normal person again. someone who he can trust and be at ease with

Rocky: i think he will like to date a fan but maybe will be a little uneasy. he will most probably be insecure about whether that person is just seeing his idol side and not who he really is. but if he likes the person, ultimately he will just go for it

MJ: i see him as someone who just wants a platonic relationship with a fan, because yes, he do loves them but maybe he wants to keep it like this and not get involved any further. i'm not saying he'll want another idol as a potential lover but i don't really think he'll date a fan

Bin: surprised? because i'm not. i see him as someone who will want to have something in common with the person in question, as it will be easier for him to talk to them, and a fan is not really his go to. he's really competitive so he'll want to challenge them always, whether on dancing or singing

Jinwoo loves when you cuddle, and if you’re the one to iniate it he gets super soft and just takes the chance to pull you into his lap and hold you as close as physically possible.

MJ

He’ll tease you a bit about it, like ‘Oh you want to have me close, now?’ but he’ll love it. Is usually running his hands through your hair and placing kisses on the top of your head while you cuddle.

Eunwoo

Gladly accepts the demonstration of affection, rubs his chin against the top of your head softly. Probably says somethinwg about the smell of your shampoo before kissing your head and wrapping his arms around you.

Moon Bin

Also gets a bit cheeky because you want to be close to him, but quickly hugs you back before you regret it. Probably ends up switching positions often, so you two can be comfortable wherever you endep cuddling at.

Rocky

Squeezes you a little too hard against his chest once you cuddle up to him. He loves holding you, so once you let him it’ll be hard for him to let you go. Plays with your fingers as you two are cuddling and kisses your palms often.

Sanha

This boy just loves cuddling you and if you’re the one to initiate it he’ll be super excited. Holds you peacefully for a while, enjoying the closeness of your bodies as he pecks your head and places small kisses around your ears/neck, but most of the time the intimacy ends because he’s tickling you.

one year. it had been one year since you had started dating sanha. one year since he had confessed to you, asking you to be his girlfriend. one year since you had said yes to becoming his girlfriend. one year of seeing his beautiful smile knowing it was yours. one year of pure happiness.

over the course of this year, you had fallen in love. in love with the one and only yoon sanha. every little crease when he smiled. every little mannerism he had. every single thing about him had you in love. how could you have so much love for one person after only being together a year?

despite his busy scheduling and the risks of being caught, you both still managed to be as happy as ever. from the soft kisses in his dorm to the long nights in your apartment, it felt like it was the two of you against the world.

You weren’t sure how you managed to fall in love with the most feared creature in your hometown, but how could you tame your heart after he rescued you from that band of feral wolves?

“I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to love me,” Moonbin said when you confessed your feelings to him upon meeting him in the forest again. When you argued that you couldn’t control your feelings, he frowned, “Liking me is already making you reckless. It’s not smart for a human to wander around in these woods.”

He was right— and you knew it— but you challenged, “Why are you out here, then?” as if his answer would eradicate the many realistic factors preventing you from pursuing a relationship.

“Well, in case you forgot, I’m not a human.” Moonbin smiled sadly. “It’s not so dangerous for werewolves.”

You couldn’t forget that Moonbin wasn’t human; that fact was the main thing keeping you from admitting your feelings to yourself. And the stories about him that circulated your neighborhood were almost enough to cause terrified goosebumps to rise to your skin.

Nonetheless, you asked again, “But what are you doing out here?”

He shrugged, avoiding your gaze as he answered, “Maybe I hoped you would be crazy enough to look for me. Maybe I dreamed I would find you here to tell you that I wish things were a little different.”

[8:26pm] “I think I have sand in my shoes,” you whispered, continuing to shuffle them slowly anyway as you slow-danced on the beach with Moonbin. There were only a handful of people still on the shore at night, and none near enough to hear you, but that just made you all the more hesitant to disturb the tranquil atmosphere with your normal speaking voice.

“So do I,” he whispered back, apparently equally reluctant to break the silence. “And I think that wind blew some ocean spray onto me because now the side of my shirt feels sticky.”

“Do you want to go?” you asked, pulling back just enough to look into his eyes. He returned your gaze for a moment, then looked up into a sky full of stars, and the moon shining brightly above you.

“No,” he smiled, slightly adjusting his grip on your hand before intertwining your fingers together. “Do you?”

“Nope.”

His smile widened as he placed a gentle kiss on your forehead and gestured for you to rest your head against him once more, which you did happily. Not far from where you were standing, small waves crashed lazily onto the shore and dissipated into foam, creating the perfect natural melody as you enjoyed your quiet moment on the beach together.

[4:56 PM] under sunshine rays through the art room you leave your brush and the painting canvas you were just working on to move aside the so silky strands of crush!moonbin's bangs, putting up little scattered stickers and glitter pieces of all various colors and shapes you had on your stock here and there on the parts which always caught your attention the most on his breathtaking face, from his small puffy eyebags to the curves around the corner of his mouth that promptly kept reacting to each of your touches, with his captivating smile gleaming out nonstop for you.

albeit you imagined in the painting it'd look even better with the effects you'd make up for the stickers, it got harder as in the process he'd just keep looking straight yet tentatively with his own deep brown eyes into yours and provoking wonders to your heartbeat pace. sometimes you couldn't resist but plant one or two kisses when he wouldn't expect it at all, and oh how that made your knees even weaker and such butterfly trails down your chest especially when he'd let out his loud precious laugh out of sudden embarrassment or just go ahead more boldly and try to steal others in return, pouting out his delicate rosy lips to you only to be left with petite star figures against them and your soft laughs instead.

being with moonbin was indeed like stepping on dreamy cotton clouds, like your recharging in the warmest source of energy through tiredness, you thought. as for god's sake it'd worth to you, more than millions to wait until he'd be fully recovered like he promised you in the last phone call, and be back to be right here in his regular visits to your workplace after uni hours, with you again.

FIRST DATE WITH ASTRO ｡*♡

KIM MYUNG JUN (MJ) ✧*。

With someone as hyper as MJ, i do believe the date will be something really fun that you can do together !! Maybe something like bowling or going skating, you'll have the time of your life with him.

Constantly trying to make you laugh by clowning himself or doing extravagant gestures, I'm sure your stomach will be hurting by the time you get to your home.

PARK JIN WOO (JINJIN) ✧*。

I think he'll like something more calm but still fun, like a carnival or going to the zoo to see some exhibition there. Kinda shy and hesitant at first but he'll open up slowly and we all know how funny he can be when he wants to !!

He'll hold your hand for the most part, excited to show you everything there so lots of walking too, lol. He just wants you to have a good time with him.

LEE DONG MIN (EUNWOO) ✧*。

I have the feeling that he'll go all out on your first date (they all would !!) mostly taking you to get dinner together and talk about your interests while getting to know each other more. He'll hold the door open for you and will also pull your chair for you to sit; so if you're not used to these sweet gestures, you need to get used to it asap because he's not gonna stop.

MOON BIN (BIN) ✧*。

The only thing that will worry this sweet bean are two things: 1) you're comfortable and 2) if you're having a good time. He literally doesn't care about anything else and will happily follow along to whatever you want to do, even if you're just aimlessly walking around town.

On the other hand, he's a curious boy so he'll also want to take you to somewhere special like an aquarium and have fun together while looking at the fishes.

PARK MIN HYUK (ROCKY) ✧*。

We all know how shy and awkward he can be (adorable) so maybe a place where he doesn't have to talk much is probably his first option. Like going to see a movie and still getting to sit close enough to you so he can see your reactions and think ahead of what to do next.

After it ends, he'll probably take you to eat something quick like mcdonald's and talk about whether you liked the movie or not. Lots of giggling and shy glances.

YOON SAN HA (SANHA) ✧*。

Like I said before, he can be as hyper as MJ but when he's with someone he really likes, he's a shy baby. With that in mind, i think he'll take to you to those food stalls where you can eat and also get to see cool performances (singing or dancing).

After that, he'll most probably insist in getting ice cream while taking a walk around laughing and sharing funny stories of his daily life.

this my writing piece for my own challenge, if that makes sense! I am extremely grateful to everyone who is participating! (and actually a little embarrassed that all of you are so good and then there’s me).

➵ astro moon bin x female reader.

➵ fairy tale au, dystopian au, there’s mentions of blood, death, a plague and violence.

Daybreak’s Writing Challenge | Challenge #1

That’s not the way things were supposed to turn out for him at all. He was born in one of the most powerful families of the New Land, he was supposed to become a ruler once he became of age, not turn into the monster he was.

The plague had never been his problem, he always looked down on people who had to deal with stuff like that, the poor, less fortunate people that could never reach the status he had.

It was never his problem, until the plague hit him as well. It was always said that the ‘purer’ race would never face a problem as such, but Bin had become the exception when he got sick.

The yellow eyes that returned his stare in the mirror weren’t his own, it didn’t matter that the reflection copied his every move, touching its horrendous, deformed face with soft, hair covering it whole, or that the felt the pinches of pain as the thing in mirror closed its paws into fists and the claws sank on the palms. He was a monster, and Moon Bin could have never been a monster. A monster couldn’t become a ruler.

“Search again!” he growled at the screen, as the usual message in red appeared. Of course he knew there was no cure available for what he had, Bin himself had denied his help for research many times before. But he knew he could find it, he just had to twist things in his favor, it shouldn’t be too hard, he was still powerful, but he couldn’t risk being rejected in public.

The AI that ran his home apologized again as it showed another error message on the screen of the studio, making Moon Bin fill with rage and shove everything on top his desk all over the room. There was no way he was doomed to become a full beast, he just couldn’t let it happen.

If Moon Bin had believed in a higher force, he would have thanked it for what happened next. When the man showed up at his door and Nightio, his A.I. let the man in as he begged for mercy. Bin found him the next morning, sleeping in one of the guest rooms and became horribly furious, until he noticed the dirty, ripped robes he was wearing, with the logo of the New Land labs intact. Dragging him by the neck of his shirt, Moon Bin took him downstairs, where his own makeshift lab was, demanding Nightio to give him all the information he could collect about this man. It turned out he was in fact a scientist, one that had ran away recently after they found out he was working on a cure for the disease. In another time, Moon Bin would have been pissed, he might have even punished the poor man, but right now, that same man was the hope he had been looking for.

The scientist worked day and night enclosed in Moon Bin’s lab, without food or water until Nightio convinced his master that he should do something to keep the man alive, for he needed the services that he could provide. Bin agreed to let Nightio provide him with whatever he needed and whatever the Scientist asked for, except one thing: His freedom.

What Bin wasn’t expecting is that someone was looking for the scientist too, his daughter who’d searched all over for him, through cities and towns and had wandered to Moon Bin’s door as well, like she’d been pulled by a higher force to where her father was.

y/n was a scientist as well, taking after her father, all that she wanted was to find a cure to the disease that turned people into beasts, she had lost her own brother to it after he finally had fully lost all of his humanity and their own father had to shoot him dead. y/n was a beautiful young woman as well, sadly being more known over this than the fact that she had a brilliant mind.

Nightio, unable to refuse a human help, had also let her inside Moon Bin’s hideout realm, offering shelter and food, until its master found out about her the next morning, and once again, let his wrath out by dragging the girl to the basement where she met her father.

“You have to let him go!” she pleaded “He’s sick he— He can’t be here!”

“He should have thought about that before he wandered into my house!” Moon Bin yelled, disgusted as he saw the young woman hold on to her father’s arm like her life depended on it.

“Please let him go” she tried again, “If you want to hold a prisoner, let me take his place”

“NO!” her father screamed, ripping his arm away from her in a second “Let my daughter go, sir” he begged “She has nothing to do with this”

Bin snorted, “Of course she has nothing to do with this, she wouldn’t even be useful” although that was mean to be more for himself rather than the man and his daughter, it sparked y/n’s curiosity, seeing it as an opportunity to finally take her father’s place.

“What do you want?” she questioned, getting up from her spot on the ground as her father squeezed her hand to bring her back down “I’ll do it, just tell me what you want”

“I said no” the older man spoke again “Just go, y/n. I am an old man, if I catch the plague too...”

Offended by his statement Moon Bin picked him up from the ground, his yellow eyes staring him down as his face contorted into a growl, but soon he let him fall back down, remembering that he was in fact needed.

“I can help you” y/n crawled in front of her dad “I know things about the cure too, just please let my father go”

Bin’s eyes settled on her and after a moment of silence that seemed to last forever, he nodded. “Alright, as you wish.” Pushing the girl away from her father, Bin grabbed him by the collar of his even filthier shirt and dragged him away, telling Nightio to shut the door once he left, though he could still hear the muffled screams of the woman who hadn’t had the chance to say farewell to her own dad.
