the art im making is for if mdzs was an ace attorney game, playing from WWX's POV to solve various mysteries/cases over the course of the plot. so this scene would be from turnabout goddess, which would loosely cover the dafan mountain mystery.

the problem with splitting novel!mdzs into turnabouts is that flashbacks are a huge chunk of the book but they don't have mysteries/ cases to solve so they've gotta be lumped together with present day stuff. imo? many of the flashbacks would likely have to be abridged so they could be retold ala DL-6, SL-9, or the fourth grade incident, where characters talk about it over some pieces of art. this is really difficult when theres a metric ton of unspoken, complex, and signifcant history between every character lmao

there's not as much of a problem with the cql timeline but i have not finished it. so.

the opening cutscenes in ace attorney always show the murder and/or the murderer plotting. the first cutscene of the game would be MXY summoning WWX, muttering about getting revenge on his family (it would also be good for him to mention the yllz being dead because that's how the novel starts.) cut to WWX's POV as he wakes up covered in blood and the investigation segment begins.

for investigations of monsters (goddess, saber, etc) the cutscene would be a scene of some poor throwaway cultivator getting their shit wrecked.

it would be cool to make a breakdown for JGY but again I need to review that scene cause I don't know who I'd base him on. maybe Vasquez or Dahlia.

- One morning in Pagoda Isles…. - As usual, Lan WangJi rises promptly before dawn, to start his daily routine. - Ah, refreshing yoga and meditation! - LWJ's oldest son, Lan SiZhui, is a dutiful child; who wakes early and is dressed and ready for another day at school. LWJ tells LSZ that his breakfast is warm and waiting for him. And his baba packed his school lunch last night. - LWJ's husband, Wei WuXian, is not a morning person by any means, and eventually claws his way out of bed, looking for kisses from his Cultivation Partner and their children. "Where are my little radishes~?" - After LSZ finishes his breakfast, he goes upstairs to wait for the school bus. - LWJ looks around his sons' bedroom--especially LSZ's unmade bed--and sighs. I've been veeeeery slowly working on this gameplay alongside my regular Untamed/MDZS gameplay. There's a billion WangXian fanfics/fanarts with dragon!LWJ, huli-jing!WWX, or bunny!LSZ/AY, so I kinda blended those AUs together--don't ask how a dragon and a fox create rabbit children--when you've Cultivated to immortality, anything's possible! 😅

I also wanted A-Yuan & Lan Sizhui to be 2 separate kids, so I could play with different ages. I've teased LSZ in my other MDZS posts/preview pics, but this is the first time I've shown him and A-Yuan.

In my Kemonomimi/Modern AU, WangXian left Shang Simla to live in Pagoda Isles with their kids. LWJ is a world famous concert pianist & qin player; and WWX's a full-time videogame streamer.

MY THOUGHTS (spoilers)

This is one of the very best reveals in the whole story, in every adaptation. I'm avoiding but also spoiling so much right now actually. It's always excellently teased out, even with the heavy emphasis put on A-Yuan up and down the story. For many reasons, Chapter 111 is the most famous part of the book--if you know, you know! <3 But Hanguang-Jun remains the undefeated G.O.A.T.! ^0^

Unfortunately, rescuing Wen Yuan was the last thing Lan Wangji could do for the next 3 years, as he had held out against his Discipline Whip injuries long enough to bring the kid back to Gusu, before finally falling into a coma. So when Wei Wuxian asked why it took LWJ 3 years before he finally went looking for WWX's lost soul, this is why. 😭

I do find it a bit weird that everyone is blaming Gregory for the Security Breach situation again like...

You know that was Freddy don't you? He was the adult, he took the responsibility of helping Gregory and then helped him do that to the other animatronics. He literally could have stopped him at any point and chose not to.

If that voice at the end was Gregory, he says a friend has access to maps of the building, meaning either Vanessa or Freddy is helping him then as well. If he also dropped the lift, one of them had to be complicit in it and I've got a funny feeling it wasn't Vanessa.

I'm not just saying this to slander canon Freddy or anything that is literally what we see. Fanon Freddy could never do nothing but canon Freddy sure as hell could.
