You head canoned he tian and mo guan shan as alpha and beta (and I totally agree on your headcanons!), what would you think jian yi and zhan zheng xi would be?? I feel like one would be a beta, but I'm not sure which one...
I could see Zhang Xixi as Either Alpha or Beta, but if he was an Alpha he'd be a very lame one (sorry ZZX fans hahahah). So if I had to say I'd say Zhang Zheng Xi is the Beta.
Jian Yi has mixed reviews hahahaha I've had people tell me he's an Alpha. I don't agree, I think he's just a lively Omega and I prefer him as an Omega.
But you know if someone said "Jian Yi is a Beta" I wouldn't be mad about it. I'd be like "not my choice but okay".

“What the fuck are you eating?”
“Uhh,” He Tian looks up from his spread of instant noodles, an unpeeled boiled egg, a half pack of Hot Cheetos, a banana, and two Monster drinks all bought from the convenience store a block away from their apartment. “Girl dinner?”
“A what?” Mo Guan Shan looks at He Tian like he just spoke another language as he puts down the bag of groceries on the kitchen counter.
“You know,” He Tian makes a vague waving motion with his hand that’s not submerge inside the Cheeto packet. “Girl dinner.”
Mo Guan Shan continues to stare at him like he’s gone crazy—which, to be fair, is a look he gives He Tian at least once a day since they’ve known each other.
“Girl dinner! From TikTok! How can you not know what girl dinner is?!”
“You keep saying that like it actually means something.” The condescending look Mo Guan Shan shoots He Tian is enough to put a lesser man to shame.
But! He Tian is not, and therefore, undeterred. Besides, he gets that look from Mo Guan Shan often enough that he’s built up an immunity. So, he just puts down his chopsticks, licks his hands clean of Cheeto dust, and pulls out his phone to open TikTok.
“Wait. Lemme show you. I can’t believe you’ve never heard of girl dinner. It’s all over TikTok.”
“And what the hell is a TikTok?”
“Ah, sorry. I meant, Douyin. TikTok is just what they call it in the states.”
“If it’s the same then just fucking say Douyin.”
“Whatever. Come here and watch this.”
Mo Guan Shan walks to where He Tian is seated on the couch. He’s pulled up a video and in it, the person is eating…a macaroni and cheese in a wine glass. What the hell. The audio is in English but Mo Guan Shan has taken enough lessons to understand what it says. And then it’s followed by a ridiculous tune singing 'girl dinner' over and over.
He Tian scrolls to more videos and all of them are just food combinations that get more and more appalling to Mo Guan Shan.
A half-eaten sandwich and a glass of chocolate milk, coleslaw and beer, chicken nugget dinosaurs and a couple of cheese cubes. He even saw one that was just a slice of cold pizza and her…anti-depressants.
“What the fuck.”
“See, the idea is it’s not a full meal,” He Tian explains. “Just whatever you have that you can eat because it’s just dinner anyway.”
“Yeah, I got that,” Mo Guan Shan says. “What the fuck.”
“You have to admit though. Infainess to me, I’m eating way better than these people,” He Tian says as he scrolls through his feed, shovelling more Cheetos into his mouth. “I mean, now that I think about it, this isn’t actually girl dinner at all! I’ve got carbs, protein, sugars—hell, I even have a fruit. This is basically a full course meal, yeah?
Mo Guan Shan’s eyes look between He Tian and the spread he has on the coffee table before once again leveling him with a stare that implies he’s gone insane. He’s not sure if he’s being serious or messing with him because He Tian’s relationship with food has always been weird in Mo Guan Shan’s opinion.
“He Tian, you—” He sighs before standing back to return to the kitchen. “Swear to god you went overseas for a couple of years and you got whitewashed.”
“Wha—” He Tian stops mid-chew of his noodles. “Whitewashed? This was how I ate before I met you!”
The pitying look Mo Guan Shan shoots him this time offends him, He Tian’s not gonna lie.
Mo Guan Shan honestly has no idea how He Tian kept himself alive before he started making him cook for him. He packs away the groceries before starting on dinner prep. A proper dinner. And not that idiotic girl dinner bullshit He Tian is stuffing himself up with. Fucking idiot.
He starts cutting up some vegetables for a quick stir fry after putting on the rice cooker and seasoning some chicken cutlets he plans to grill. He rolls his eyes when he looks up and sees He Tian is still eating his stupid girl dinner meal but at least he’s eating the banana now.
“If you’ve still got an appetite after that junk you just ate you’re welcome to join me for a real dinner.”
“I always have room for your cooking. You know that.”
“Alright.”
“You need help or anything?”
“Nah. It’s fine. This’ll be done quick. Just set the table when I tell you to.”
“Copy that.”
It’s silent then save for He Tian scrolling through his phone and watching videos. Every now and then, something will make him chuckle and Mo Guan Shan will feel his phone vibrate in his pocket which means He Tian has sent those videos to him. Later, they’ll lay in bed and He Tian will watch those videos again with him and laugh all over.
The rice cooker timer goes off just as Mo Guan Shan turns off the stove. He Tian throws his trash and tucks his phone away to set the table.
“Why are you eating that shit anyway?” Mo Guan Shan asks as he scoops rice onto their bowls.
“There wasn’t anything in the fridge I can make. I wasn’t sure what time you’ll be back and you weren’t answering your phone”
“I was in line at the cashier. Couldn’t pick up.”
“Well, you weren’t home and I was hungry. So.”
“Well, I’m here now so quit eating shit like you’re a broke college student. You’re not eating girl meal—”
“Girl dinner.”
“—or whatever the fuck you called that garbage. Not in my fucking kitchen you're not.
“Alright, alright. Geez. So strict, Little Mo.”
“Tch. For such a picky eater you eat absolute trash. I thought I trained that out of you by now.”
“What am I a dog?”
“Nah. I’ve seen dogs who eat better than you.”
“Oh, like that one lady who has two huskies? Yeah, I’ve seen her videos. Those dogs eat like kings. I mean, prime cut steaks every day? Fuck.”
“Shit. I know, right? And she even cooks them too like—”
The rest of dinner is spent is spent idly chatting. Mo Guan Shan puts more vegetables in He Tian’s bowl which he eats without complaints because he knows it makes him happy. After dinner, He Tian washes the dishes while Mo Guan Shan makes them tea and thinks about dishes he can stock the fridge with that He Tian can just heat up whenever he gets hungry.
They fall asleep scrolling through the videos He Tian has sent Mo Guan Shan throughout the day.

Red Yarn…
Because my mind is rotten and I want to spread the bad thoughts
So we were blessed and my mind stopped functioning for some time
Tumblr media
Please check that HT says let’s go Home as in forget about that cramped apartment now you live here, yes those are your things don’t worry my people made sure to pack everything, but I’m not here to talk about that I’m here to point something out that I can’t stop thinking about since yesterday
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s obvious that Mo is not 100% there, he’s confused, kudos to HT for being a gentleman I would have at least take pictures of him just because he looks so cute, anyway the thing is that please look at the next panels
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mo does absolutely nothing, he doesn’t pull away, he doesn’t complain, it doesn’t look like he is against anything that is happening in that lap but as I said before he isn’t completely there, for me that looks like something that he is use to
Tumblr media
At no point in any of this Mo Guan Shan rejected He Tian not even a little bit and do you guys remember when does Mo let’s He Tian be like this?? Exactly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Mo has dreamed of He Tian coming back to him and get in a bed with him and the condoms are not even a rare item, is my understanding that Mo thinks he’s dreaming and since all this stuff happens on a regular basis he isn’t afraid of accepting anything that’s coming his way because at some point he knows this is going to wake up on his cold bed only that this time is actually happening this is not a dream and he’s gonna wake up besides the man of his dreams with an empty pack of condoms a ring and in his new home, me and JY would pay good money to see that face and if I was HT I would pay for a trip to Las Vegas and secure that marriage asap, it fucking counts and you can’t get an annulment only because you were drunk trust me in this one people, your only hope is that you have enough money to get it but HT is not gonna let that happen

He Tian: Hey, I called that place in Napa and got us upgraded to a villa with a hot tub. So pack whatever you wear in a hot tub.
Mo Guan Shan: I usually wear nothing when I’m in a hot tub.
He Tian: *Fist pumps the air* Limo gets here at 4:00. This morning, I thought I'd go over to the club, hit a few balls.
Mo Guan Shan: No! What about the fan in in the kids room?
He Tian: Oh, yeah.*Shrugs* Call a guy.
Mo Guan Shan: No! You're supposed to do it with them. It's important that we teach them how to do things for themselves. In my culture, men take great pride in doing physical labor.
He Tian: I know. That's why I hire people from your culture.
Mo Guan Shan: *Laughs* You're so funny. I'm gonna share that one with my next husband When we're spending all your money.*Walks away*

Random head canon on shampoos
Mo guan shan - the same stuff that his mom uses (but in different scent maybe? like sometimes they come in buy-1-get-1 pack for economical reason)
He tian - 3 in one shampoo cuz it’s easier to grab one from the convenient store

Waiting for the Rain: Chapter Two
If there was anything that the past eight years might have taught He Tian, it was that time healed all wounds… despite leaving colossal scars.
He stared out of his penthouse apartment for the last time after the last box had been packed. There wasn’t much to pack anyway. Some sheets, a few clothes. Photos of a past that felt more like a dream than it did a memory. Behind him stood his brother, patiently biding his time for him. He peeked at his watch to check the hour, coughing to signal that it was time to leave.
He Tian nodded. The two walked together silently to the elevator and into the parking lot where two sports cars were packed together.
“Are you ready?” He Cheng asked, unlocking his car with the click of a button. He Tian hummed, staring down at his keys. “I just have to… say goodbye.” He said. His brother nodded solemnly before driving away.
The brunette sighed, heading out on the road, past the city and into the cemetery.
He felt the soft earth sink beneath his shoes. It had rained the night before and the muddy ground felt pulpy. He Tian walked past rows and rows of unknown people, glancing now and then at their names and the years they died. Many of them had gone beyond the age of seventy and lived full lives. The person he was looking for did not.
Eventually, He Tian came across the very grave he’d been visiting for the last eight years. White petals from the bouquet of roses he’d brought the other day lay limp on the ground with candle wax and other ornaments darting the gravestone. Above the name “Mo Guan Shan” sat two photos of him that had been embedded into the stone. One of when he was a child and another that his mother had taken from their living room.
He Tian took out his own photo of Guanshan. It was one he’d taken while the boy had fallen asleep, peacefully nodding off while He Tian snuck a picture.
He smiled at the memory, placing it on the ground before sitting cross legged across the grave. He didn’t care for formalities, nor did he care that his pants were now wet and soaked by the mud. Inside, He Tian wished the earth would swallow him up and bury him six feet under with Mo Guan Shan.
Whisps of wind swept his hair in a somewhat comforting way. Above him, the sky had been washed with gentle pinks and orange as eight years of pain and turmoil melted away inside of him, replaced by a calm ocean blue. He Tian knew that there would be days when that calm would turn into roaring storms. But in that moment, there was nothing else that he could feel except noiseless resignation. A quietness he hadn’t known in so long since his friend’s death.
He wondered to himself if calling Guan Shan his friend was what their relationship deserved. He had loved him, of course, but was simply the love one had for a friend?
His thoughts drifted into a future, a universe, where the red-haired boy had lived longer. Would they have become lovers? Would He Tian have confessed first or would it be the other? The boy smiled at all the possibilities and all the things that could have been. There was no point in lingering on the whys and hows of the universe anymore. Mo Guanshan was dead and he lived on.
The gaping hole inside his heart remained but little by little, he realized that it could be mended.
He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to a ghost.
Behind him stood Mo Guan Shan. Smiling. Serene.
He Tian felt his breath catch in his lungs and his voice stop dead in his throat. There were no words to describe all the things that he was feeling in that moment. Shock. Fear. Sorrow. Joy. There weren’t enough things that could say what the boy was feeling.
He stared up at the visage of Mo Guan Shan, smiling down at him with a cheeky yet comforting way. He offered his hand to He Tian who slowly, inched his fingertips to touch against Guan Shan’s palm. It was warm. Warm with blood and beating veins. The redhead snorted, shoulders shaking in laughter. “Come on, get up. I don’t have all day, chicken dick.”
He Tian quickly grasped his hand and threw himself into Mo Guan Shan’s arms. He held on tightly, afraid that the ghost would dissipate into thin air. He expected a cold, corpse-like body but was met with more warmth. Heat, a steady heart, and the ever so sweet laughter of the boy that could have been. He felt himself shaking, whether it was from laughing hysterically or sobbing incoherently, he didn’t exactly know. All he knew was that Guan Shan was there with him, laughing and hugging him back.
“You’re… you’re…”
“I’m here.”
The redhead pulled away—much to He Tian’s displeasure—his amber eyes shining radiantly despite the sunset’s light. He slowly lifted his palm to cup He Tian’s cheek, rubbing away the tears that fell like diamonds down the boy’s face. He Tian couldn’t help but giggle, turning his head so that he was kissing Guan Shan’s hand. From his finger tips to his palm and down to his wrist, never breaking eye contact with the other. He watched as Guan Shan’s ghost went red from embarrassment but not once making any effort to stop him.
After kissing his way through Guan Shan’s entire hand, he slowly inched closer to the redhead, forehead to forehead. He wanted to feel the other’s breath on him, to make sure that this wasn’t simply some phantom. That Guan Shan really was there and had somehow risen from the grave or descended like an angel. But despite his warm body and hands, He Tian’s heart sank as he realized that Guan Shan, unlike himself, was not breathing.
“Please… don’t go.” He whispered, tenderly rubbing his nose against Mo’s. A quiet sob bubbled up inside him and came pouring out as he intertwined their hands together, pressing himself closer and closer—as close as he could get. Guan Shan sighed, rubbing his thumb against the outside of He Tian’s hand. His nose nuzzled closer until they were only a few centimeters away from kissing. “He Tian… I’m sorry.”
“No… no please, don’t say that.”
“You don’t even know what I’m saying sorry for, do you?”
“I don’t care… I don’t care. Just please… don’t leave me.”
Guan Shan let out a small laugh, like a song that He Tian knew by heart but could never sing himself. “I never did and I don’t plan to, you ass. You were so annoying and clingy when I was alive so now it’s my turn to be annoying and clingy.”
He Tian couldn’t help but laugh, leaning forward and placing a chaste kiss on Mo Guan Shan’s lips.
It was slow, mixed with years of longing and regret.  Love and the refusal to let go. But both of them knew that eventually, they would have to. In that moment, all that was and ever would be was He Tian and Mo Guan Shan. Neither heaven nor earth existed, only the two of them as they shared their first and final kiss. In truth, it was agony. Grief was nothing more than love that had nowhere to go and love was grief in waiting.
Slowly, ever so slowly and painfully, He Tian pulled away. His eyes fluttered open to find Guan Shan still there, lips trembling. It was his turn to cry. It was his turn to grieve his own death and the life that he should have had with He Tian.
“I… I never should have…” he stuttered, reaching out for He Tian, who caught him as he fell into his chest. He heard the boy’s beating heart, felt the rise and fall of his breathing. They stayed that way for an eternity that would eventually come to an end as Guan Shan slowly faded in his lover’s arms. “Before you go… please… please don’t forget me.” He Tian whispered, staring down at Guan Shan with all the heartbreak and love in the world. They were both crying now.
“Idiot… you’re so annoying, how could I possibly forget you?”
“Is that a confession, Mo Guan Shan?”
The red-haired boy laughed. “Yes…” he said.
He Tian grinned. Eight years had passed since he’d last smiled at anyone with his snarky, cat like grin. Eight years since the only person who ever received it had died.
“I love you. I love you, Mo Guan Shan.”
