Fuck it. My old Reverser predictions

I’ve been on Tumblr, lurking around the ML fandom since Season 2 was on hiatus. So the predictions of certain episodes and the old theories and ideas, I miss them. So this is a bit of nostalgia, back to when it was a little more fun.

I don't know when the leaks happened, but I do remember that the leaks of Reverser we got released sometime between Zombizou and Frightingale. The synopsis of the episode was released on Twitter shortly after. The only reason I remember this is that Nathaniel just disappeared in Zombizou and a few people made jokes about him heading to Marc.

But regardless, we only ever saw his akuma form for a while so there were various predictions of what he was like and what it meant that he was "made a fool of" by Nathaniel and Marinette. Some people, myself included, assumed that he liked origami or that his akumatization was based on or surrounding paper planes in some way. Similar to how Nino blew bubbles when he was angry and that was the theme for his powers. Just a matter of circumstance.

Obviously, a lot of us speculated that his relationship with Nathaniel was involved and we were excited to ship him with someone new. There was some speculation that he might've known Marc for some time already (I can't find Tumblr posts for this so trust me please) and, I actually had the thought that he might've had a crush on Marinette, like so many other guys beforehand. So my first idea was Marc thought Nath and Marinette were making fun of him and his feelings, but then the first teaser of the episode came out and I figured that doesn't correlate to his powerset. His being teased for a crush felt more Dark Cupid-esque than "change-your-skills".

My next assumption was that Nath and he threw paper planes at each other, sending messages and notes to each other, maybe it was in class or the library and Marc either decided to send a very personal note to Nath about Marinette and never got a reply, or his message was read and answered by Chloe/Sabrina (as a callback to Sabrina's forging skills). Either way, it felt more fitting that they both had humiliation involved in their akumatizations in my opinion. (It's not that I hate Reverser or was disappointed in it when I first watched it. I do like the episode, but it'd be nice if Marc as a person was focused on separate from Nathaniel.)

I mostly just did this to try and remain neutral about the show right now. I'm more excited about the movie and it feels like it'll bring a lot of love back to the fandom, but if it doesn't, I'm worried the series will just fall into obscurity. I'm not a fan of the writing in S4, and I stopped watching S5 after the first episode. I don't think I've ever felt this disappointed in a piece of media before.

I just woke up and watched the trailer of Kuro Neko, and I already saw a looooooot of fights in the comments about Ladybug's horrible behaviour towards Chat Noir. well, It's indeed upsetting that people are disappointed in the show, in Marinette's character especially. I understand them, totally.

but honestly? I'm so tired of it. of those endless fights about Marinette, about Chat Noir, about their relationship. sometimes I really think that we all have to calm down and just watch the show, without arguing who's right and who's wrong, because everyone has their opinions and nobody will change it anyway.

right now, watching how fandom is literally burning, just because of a trailer, I can't imagine what will be when the episode comes out. probably, a disaster.

I have my opinions too. but I, really, don't care anymore. don't care about Marinette's behaviour and all that shit. I just want to watch the show and enjoy it.

do you have any more predictions for rocketear?

to be perfectly honest, as much as I so badly want my marichat theory to be true, I know deep down how the writers are, so it most likely won't happen.

Now that I thought about it and read some discussions on the post, Rocketear is probably going to be a DJWifi-centered episode, so it wouldn't make sense to drop a big marichat bomb like that in an episode that's more focused on Alya and Nino.

In all honesty, Rocketear is probably going to be similar to Truth, except there won't be a breakup. It'll probably go something like this:

Alya is acting sus when talking to Marinette at school

Nino notices

He goes to spy on Alya sees the chat noir balcony stuff, which is probably just Chat Noir gushing about marinette asking Alya for help getting Ladybug's attention since he's feeling left out of their missions and Alya offers to do a segment on him on the Ladyblog

Nino sees the interaction and gets upset

Nino asks Alya to the movies to see if they can talk things out

The Chat Noir x Rena Rouge stuff happens at the movies, which is the last straw for him

Shadowmoth akumatizes Nino

Shit happens

Things resolve and there will probably be a reveal of some sort, whether it's Alya telling Nino Ladybug's identity in order to save their relationship, or Chat Noir telling Nino his identity to save their friendship. Or, maybe some other new twist happens that we won't see coming.

s4 finale theory!

spoilers for the news we got from gloob today and the rest of season 4 below!

OKAY SO! I personally think it's Lila (more on that in a later post, but its pretty much for the same reasons as everyone else), but. It could be felix. here's why:

this spoiler teaser mainly fixated on episode 9 "gabriel agreste" - the episode we barely have gotten any news on. many have mentioned that it's weird that gloob included felix in their little web of suspects because he's only been in the show for an episode. we also haven't really talked about him in the show since. and it is quite weird. very weird indeed.

it is also weird that they mentioned the "twin rings" in the spoiler teaser. this means two things:

the end scene of mega leech was on purpose. there is something they wanted to indicate by fixating on the ring. this is definitely relating back to episode 9.

felix is definitely related to the plot of ep 9, and it is likely that he'll be present.

i also saw somewhere that felix would be in 3 season 4 episodes. for now, let's pretend that episode 9, "gabriel agreste" is one of them. felix gets access to the family mansion because his mom and him are visiting them once again. felix finds out. this leaves two episodes remaining. what episodes might it be?

the season finale episodes.

let's remind ourselves of the synopsis for the finales:

Realizing that Ladybug's caution is the reason why she always wins, Shadow Moth prepares a diabolical plan to create a supervillain who can force his victims to take all sorts of risks. When Marinette learns that Adrien is leaving Paris for several weeks with Lila, the new face of the Agreste brand, she will do anything to stop him from doing so. But until what point? Will she reveal her secret identity for the sake of love? And would Adrien finally face his father?

if felix is indeed the one that finds out, then it is likely that he'll be in at least one of these episodes. i think it would be weirder for him to randomly appear twice throughout the season for relatively unimportant events, as they've established him as important. this then leads to a few questions:

what if it's not adrien that's leaving paris, but felix posing as adrien? what if hawkie means to set him up with lila so those become a duo for the future hawk moth team? what if shadow moth's final plan involves akumatizing a duo that is resolute together against both chat noir and ladybug?

note: i realize that me saying this may insinuate that felix and gabriel will have to know about adrien = chat. that isn't likely to happen at all. i was thinking that felix's reasons to fight against ladynoir may hold some other meaning. felix does hold some animosity towards ladybug, and it is likely that he'll join hawkie in his mission if he finds out. he also may have a personal stake in it, due to hawk moth's reason for fighting for the miraculous is a family related secret; therefore, he'll be willing to fight ladynoir regardless.

regardless, i do believe that felix will be in the season finale (in either, or both episodes) because his character identity has already been set up as all important, and i'm excited on who's actually going to find out in episode 9! let me know what you guys think! <3

That Lukanette kiss is so going to be interrupted by something.
