Any headcanons for the Miracuclass?
Sure do! There they are! \/
Alix’s mother (whom she bears heavy resemblance to) died when she was very young, so she doesn’t remember her. Her father misses her very much hence why he’s strict (not Gabriel level strict)
Max Kanté is Markov’s dad, full stop. Markov surprised almost everyone when he once accidentally called Max “dad”. It was an emotional and heartwarming day for everyone, especially Max.
Alix challenges everyone to arm-wrestles. Even the big ones like Ivan and Juleka. Alya had to persuade her not to challenge Nora (aka, a professional champion kick-boxer)
Marinette isn’t straight. She’s pansexual as heck.
From above point, she was nervous about coming out as pansexual as first. But everyone was so supportive when she did come out, especially her parents (Gabriel not so much)
Many students have thought that Ivan was actually Marinette’s brother due to the similarities between him and Marinette’s father. That theory was quickly proven false due to different last names and genetic evidence.
Ivan is the class pillow. Enough said.
There have been ongoing jokes about how Marinette was werewolf genetic due to a certain akumatisation in her family….
All the classmates whose parents have been akumatised dress up as the Akuma form of their parents (Alya as Animan, Mylene as Le Mime, Marinette as Weredad or Qilin, etc.)
Everybody figured out Luka and Juleka’s father was Jagged Stone at some point. Except for Luka and Juleka.
All the classmates have developed PTSD and anxiety post-akumatisation. They all have different ways of coping with it.
BONUS; Markov thinks his inner beast may be a Werehuman. Everyone is too weirded or interested to tell him further about this.

MLB Season 4 Character Analysis: "Qilin"
Introduction
Hey everyone, I'm back once again with a new season 4 character analysis and this time it's the racism episode, "Qilin". If you missed my previous post, you can find it here. If this is your first character analysis post then this is a series in which I analyze each of our favourite MLB characters' emotions and motivations in every individual episode of season 4 in order to give an overall picture of their entire journey throughout the season.
This episode was a pretty meh episode for me because I really wasn't invested in the story since I'm not really that into socio-political type of themes but it was really nice to see some focus on Sabine and what her daily life is like and how much of great mother she is. We also get to see Marinette's appreciation of her which only enforces the fact that she really is great mother. So let's go and see what this is all about.
Character POVs
Sabine
"I don't believe this! Are you people humans or robots?"
Starting off with Sabine, the most amazing mother in the world, we see right at the start of the episode how she keeps in touch with her Chinese heritage and how she always keeps prepared for all of Marinette's disasters, knowing her daughter very well (well, almost), setting a laundry basket at the bottom of the stairs for her to land into, keeping a sponge to clean up when she spills the milk and keeping a shoe magazine to remind her that she needs to buy new shoes. What could have gotten someone like her akumatized? An unreasonable/racist ticketmaster and an extremely dedicated police officer, that's who.
When she plans to wait for Marinette at the next bus stop when Marinette missed the last stop, the ticketmaster refuses to believe that she has a daughter who has her wallet and the bus tickets and harasses her right there and takes her to Roger the police officer. But even though he knows Sabine as both their daughters are in the same class, he doesn't believe her either and carries out his duty and the frustration of not getting through to these two is what let to her akumatization which she resisted at first but ultimately succumbed to it. But thankfully when Ladybug offers her the key to her handcuffs, she breaks free of Shadow Moth's control as it would be unjust not to trust her.
2. Roger
"I promise, Ladybug"
I get that Roger was in the wrong in this situation, but the ticketmaster was the real villain of the episode because at least Roger admitted his mistake at the end of the episode and agreed with Ladybug that law should be applied with humanity.
The problem with him is that as we've seen with him throughout the whole show, he is extremely dedicated to his job as a police officer and takes it very seriously. Even the reason he got akumatized back in season 1 was due to him just being dedicated to his job as a police officer. So it's no surprise here that Roger would put his job first in this situation and think about the law. He was a bit unreasonable but what's important is that he admitted that at the end and promised to wait for Sabine's daughter to come with the bus tickets.
3. Marinette/Ladybug
"The exact opposite of me. Do you realize Tikki, I'm more than a month late for Mother's Day! I wanted to make her something but with everything going on I barely had time to get started on it. It's such a bummer because today would've been the perfect day to make it up to her."
Lastly, we have Marinette who just wanted to do what she can to make it up to her mother for being so amazing and for not having time to make her a gift for Mother's Day which she feels really guilty about.
Due to all her duties both as Ladybug and as Guardian of the Miraculous which hadn't had the time to make her mother a gift which she really wanted to do so she tries to buy her some flowers to make up for it because it's better late than never but when she realizes that she doesn't have any money she uses her mother's money to buy her gift which she really didn't want to do but had to because she had no other choice and felt the need to do something for her. At the end of the episode, when she de-akumatizes her mother as Ladybug she manages to get her some flowers in order to show Sabine how much she means to her and tries to pay the fine as well but ended up failing at that as well.
Conclusion
Overall pretty average on characterization this episode and pretty meh. Again, it was nice seeing more on Sabine but other than that not much else going for this episode. As always, let me know your thoughts on this analysis and let me know if I missed anything in this analysis on any of the characters this episode. Until next time!

Chapter 13: The Knitting Fairy
This is my story about Sabine & Marinette for the @mlbigbang. The story is from Sabine's POV as she tries to figure out what has been traumatizing her little girl (who, by the way, will not tell her anything).
Thanks also to @uptoolateart and @raspberrycatapult. These two absolute legends get me through the gauntlet chapter in and chapter out.
Synopsis
Sabine trains Ladybug in martial arts. She needs a little miraculous help to keep up. And then an old friend she'd once had for dinner shows up.
Extract
Sabine still wasn’t sure how she felt about sharing her home with a god. She seemed nice enough, but didn’t gods usually come with words like Ragnarok, Armageddon, and...Cataclysm?
At least she didn’t live with whatever god gave Chat Noir that ability. What would it be like to break bread with something that could end reality?
What if her partner ever went crazy and touched Marinette with that power? Could the Goddess of Creation hold off the Goddess of…Destruction?
Sabine felt the blood drain from her face, recalling what she’d read in Marinette’s diary. She had been so high on adrenaline and fear that her memories were a threadbare quilt, unraveling even as it was stitched together. There was something about Chat Noir, and…
Her skin froze, and she felt like someone had curled their fingers under her rib cage and pressed up into her organs. Our love did this to the world.

I’ll aways respect Ladybug’s take on is the police. They are shown to not always be correct or reliable. Pretty realistic message all things considered!

I've finally watched Qilin and, I think the Chinese community would rightfully be pissed after watching this episode:
*Also as a biracial child of a BIPOC mother in Paris I've really felt this episode
So we learn in this episode that Sabine is INDEED a Chinese immigrant woman fully in touch with her culture and incorporate meditation philosophy to her everyday life. She also a traditional Chinese painting painting teacher (and that the girl who tried to get her daughter expelled is one of her students but we don't care)
You don't see why people would get pissed after that? That's because these informations are a contradiction with our heroine Marinette Dupain-Cheng, presented in early season as "somewhat out of touch with her maternal culture" (but connects to it to a degree with some Chinese themed symbols she incorporate to her own made clothing etc)
Why would the daughter of a woman who lives her culture in her daily life and makes a living of her culture as well be out of touch with it?
Of course as a mixed race person I know out of living experience it is possible for many reasons, this is not what's bothering the most. What is, is that when you examine the show's executive team and you don't see any Chinese person.
We more or less understand this wasn't created thinking about any Chinese and or half-white people perspective, and it will comes as insensitive for many, no matter how much past of the show seemed genuine experience to biracial people. Even to myself. But more especially to biracial Asian, and biracial wasian, and French biracial wasian folks.

Man. Qilin is a mess but like... Lore-wise? I get that they wanted a Chinese-sounding akuma but they missed to many opportunities with it. Qilins symbolize good fortune, arrival of a good leader [and the fall of the evil one], and they're peaceful by nature! It would be a neat name for a Chinese superhero, perhaps next to a Dragon? I dunno why it upsets me more than it does but :|
Come on, couldn’t you see how peaceful Qilin was when she essentially said innocent people deserved to die because they were police officers?
I’ve said this before, but even as someone who barely knows anything about the culture, so much of the show’s Chinese representation feels so... surface-level. They don’t really do much to inform the audience on certain aspects of Chinese culture and mythology, and even though the Miraculous are shown to be from China, nothing is really done to connect it to said culture.

If Adrigaminette was endgame for the show itself then the show would 100% have a situation like dearest family but the parents of Kagami and Adrien get akumatized alongside Marinette’s and the outbreak of this fight would be heavily instigated by Nathalie’s interference and Gabriel’s … well his personality

Which ML Akumas would make great Cuphead bosses?
-Those marked with a plane (✈️) would be plane-style bosses-
Well, to be honest, all the Akumas would qualify as Cuphead bosses, so the ones that can be fought in a Cuphead-style boss battle, but aren’t limited to, are:
✈️ Sandboy
Timebreaker
Refleckta
The Bubbler / Rockettear [Bubbler shifts into Rockettear in the last phase]
✈️ Crocoduel [Guitar Villain and Captain Hardrock, boss fight where they’re actually against each other]
Dearest Family [Qilin, Weredad, Befana and Bakerix]
Desperada
✈️ Reverser Horrificator
Stormy Weather
Animan
The Pharaoh
✈️ Mr Pigeon
Lady Wifi
✈️ Rogercop [with the flying cop car and everything]
Antibug
Rena Rage + Shell Shock
✈️ Kuro Neko [not an Akuma, but you know what I mean]
Silencer
So what do you guys think? How do you think their battles would play out? What would their game over quotes be? Let me know in the reblogs!
