When I saw it the first time I thought I might have missed something but I’ve been rewatching just the John Smith storyline and in all the scenes before this ones there was NOT enough build up to warrant such a choice. Yes they are not in the best place and yes they have been falling apart for a while, but “running away from you”? Come on!

BEWARE! SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4 OF MITHC AHEAD!!!!
Things that bothered me about Man in the High Castle S4:
The absolute destruction of my happiness by killing Tagomi within the first few MINUTES of the first episode and then NEVER. SEEN. AGAIN.
No talk of my boy Ed McCarthy and Jack (like not even ANY kind of follow up?!?!?)
No reuniting of Childan and Kukiko (which, I tell you, I desperately deserved after the eternal stress of this show)
ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION OF THELMA AND NICOLE which has shattered my soul because I wanted to AT LEAST see something or hear something about them. UGH.
Things I (oddly enough) liked about S4:
Helen finally standing up for what shes helped to do and helping to bring down the empire
THOMAS 😍 and such a lovely wonderful Thomas at that. I loved alt-Thomas.
Less Juliana (I know that sounds mean since she is kind of a focal point of the show but she annoys me sometimes. It feels like she can do no wrong and that irritates me sometimes. Idk, shes just kind of wishy-washy blah to me)
Kido somehow grew a conscience and a soul or something????? Because up until this season he was so horrendous
Childan and Kukiko ♥️
The freaking utter brilliance and amazingness of the Black Rebellion! Oh, they were the HIGHLIGHT of the ENTIRE SEASON for me
The ending because it was real open to interpretation. Part of me thought maybe they were dead people who could come back now or something. Then part of me thought that they were just randoms seeing a portal and entering it like idiots. Or what if it's like some hub now between all worlds people can just go through for funsies. But I finally landed on what I personally believe and that's all the people who went to other worlds to get new footage and just never came back because their world was so effed up, they can finally return or something idk.
Overall it was a good season but there were some things that I wasnt fully happy or satisfied with. 🤷🏻♀️
