Something that seems that a lot of people have forgotten is that before guapoduo ever even existed, early in the egg arc, we talking first two or three weeks, a lot of the other parents were super jealous of what Phil and Missa had and that they were THE couple.

Like not even at a distance. On the way to rescue the eggs when they got kidnapped the first time, FitMC of 2b2t straight up said, to their faces, that he was jealous of what they had as a couple and then proceeds to go off on Spreen for leaving for cigarettes. Missa adds to this saying that on twitter, everyone was saying that they were also jealous of them. Then there is also the instance of Slime and Mariana (literally within the first two hours of having the eggs) saying that they were too happy together and that they want to trade, to which Philza ("come to bed partner" in our deluxe double bed) Minecraft proceeds to huddle next to Missa saying that he's plenty happy with his partner (this was before he would add platonic in front while Missa was gone, to which he immediately stopped doing as soon as he got back as far as I'm aware).

After all of that, jump to current date, post guapoduo, who are the biggest Phil and Missa fans? First a foremost Chayanne (my god the kid has a backpack named Phissa and caged Forever when he was flirting with Phil in protest), Mumza (came up with Pissa/Phissa as their ship name) Tallulah, and then Richarlyson or guapoduo themselves (Roiers "no mamas" to Missa calling Phil handsome then asking when the wedding was and drunk Cellbit full chest shipping them, telling Missa that Phil is just shy with his feelings and also immediately clocked that the skull on Phils backpack was for Missa once he saw them together).

Also being in a QPR doesn't necessarily mean absence of romantic feelings (coming from a aro/ace person in a romantic QPR) but there is nothing wrong with seeing their relationship as strictly platonic on Philzas side of things and you are completely valid. 💛

Thinking about the Death Family and their relations to death

Phil is the angel of death, by his hands countries have fallen and blood has been spilled. He is the first death, when air leaves the body and it goes still. A blade warmed by blood, an end. A promise.

Tallulah is the speaker, one who can commune with the dead and speak to souls long gone. She is the second death, when the soul leaves the shell and when the body becomes hollow. A song to lead the spirits home. To remember.

Chaynanne is the decomposition, when the soil reclaims the body. He is the third death, when the body becomes host to new plant growth and life. A garden to show that life will go on. To hope.

Missa is the dust, when magic filled bones and corpses walk the earth once more. He is the fourth death, when the dead rise again to maim and wander. A story whispered to all that the dark is unsafe. A warning.

An underrated moment with Philza and Missa's reunion that I think needs more attention is when Missa's talking about all the traveling he's done. So Phil's just like "You must be in like a really special group with your airline." But when Missa tells him that's not the case, Phil suddenly grows defensive for Missa's sake.

"They should be rolling out the red carpet for you." "They should be giving you first class."

which, of course kinda makes sense considering q!Philza will always go to bat for Missa. From people calling him an absent parent or calling him poor, Phil always jumps to his defense. but seeing him do it directly to Missa is both sweet but also hilarious, considering all Missa is saying is I'm not getting special treatment during my constant flights and travels. And yet Philza is offended by this and is all HOW DARE THEY?!?

like, everyone may call q!Missa a wet cat, but q!Philza demands that his partner is given the respect he DESERVES!!

god i can’t stop thinking about how the (core) death family really is such a well fitting puzzle that when even one piece js gone it shows and affects the rest :(

like the death family is incomplete without qmissa, he carries such a huge role in the emotional wellbeing of things, he shines were qphil lacks; the death family is incomplete without qphil, the man consistently keeping the kids alive and fed, he can keep the kids alive but he struggles with the things beyond it, things beyond mere survival; and the kids, we saw how thoroughly their absence affected qphil and qmissa, how tallulah sleeping alone at her old home made the bunker feel so empty and incomplete, how without chayanne this little family would’ve never been formed in the first place. they all fulfill roles that no one else can perform in their place, tallulah and qmissa carry the artistic side and emotional knowledge of the family, qphil and chayanne carry the survivalist aspect of the family with experience and cooking. the family has had to adapt to the absence of members in the past, especially when the kids disappeared, and the toll it takes shows so clearly every time. they are only truly complete with each other, they are a family with so many troubles and ailments that could so easily be fixed by just them all being present, and yet they’re cursed to always miss one. they are always stuck adapting and filling roles to make up for an absence, and crumbling under the pressure each time

I was bored so I gave death family pokemon teams.

In my head, q!Philza and q!Missa's relationship is the definition of undefined ((which is really funny now that I type it out lmao)). They've decided to completely sidestep concrete labels and use everything: husband, partner, boyfriend, friend, dumbass---whatever feels right (or whatever's funniest) in the moment. Phil tends to do introductions for them as, "Hi I'm Phil I'm Missa's husband and this is Missa, my friend... The fuck you mean 'that's confusing' I just spelled it out for you pretty clearly." Whenever someone tries to ask them something along the lines of, "So are you husbands/boyfriends/etc?" Phil---who knows that he'll take way too long trying to Explain---will just shrug and Missa will answer with a simple, "Estamos juntos." (We're together.) Bottom line, though, they are really good friends.

Ok. You know how I said probably no worded posts until new year? Yeah well fuck that. Ramble time.

I saw a post earlier about cc!Missa and therefore his character having a fear of the sky (like being afraid of falling into infinite space or having celestial bodies falling on him etc. a very bad/angsty fear to have but that's besides the point. Ground dungeon skelly man afraid of the exposed open [don't have a link to post sorry -_-]) I honestly have no idea how accurate that is but I have not stopped fucking thinking about it since.

Phil gets why Missa would be afraid of the sky. It's very understandable honestly, the sky's infinite and distant nature is almost terrifying at times. Sometimes, when he still had his wings, he flew and flew until he couldn't see the ground anymore and the air was so thin it got hard to breathe. Surrounded by infinite and blue like that, too high up for even the clouds, it felt like the sky was swallowing him whole. Like there was nothing in the world but you, the horizon, and your adrenaline keeping you from feeling the cold in your fingertips. Phil loved it.

Unlike Missa, he lives for that feeling of being so tiny compared to the immense expanse of something so much bigger than himself. For being so far from anything recognizable. So far above it all. When surrounded by such complete nothing in every direction, even despite (or maybe because of) the distance from the ground, there was nothing that made him feel more free. Without the presence of ceilings or gravity to restrain him and keep him down. Some days, he almost didn't feel alive if he didn't brush oblivion. (Queue that clip of o!Phil void surfing) He lives to feel the wind in his wings, ruffling through his feathers like cold, gentle, caressing hands, that turn aggressive and tearing when he goes fast enough to feel his skin being pulled against his body, and nothing feels better.

In his deepest, wildest, dreams he lives in a world with deities powerful enough to rival the sky and the celestial bodies Missa fears so much. They shape the very world he lives in and paint Phil as a simple ant in comparison. And he loves it (even if they simultaneously scare the shit out of him. Then again that is the whole point of this post).

Phil is, as Rose correctly stated, a "Child of the sky". He exists to be far above the world, against the void. On the border of utter nothing. He is both the opposite and the compliment of Missa. He is the sky to his ground. The light to his dark. The complete open to Missa's enclosed caves (and petting zoos). Phil isn't afraid of the things large enough to be incomprehensible. But he might get better than anyone else why Missa would be.

So if Missa ever finds himself swallowed by an unforgiving sky, then he has Phil to swoop in to save him on angels wings as vast as the void itself

messages like these are SO demotivating. 

it feels like every other day i’m getting passive aggressive “so you’re abandoning this then eh?” type comments, or DEMANDING fics for doodle au content, or asking for updates on completely unrelated posts. (i got asked for fic updates on a post i made about my gf!! that was not about you!!) 

it makes my DAY when someone posts a well thought out comment on one of my fics. I have received so many wonderful messages that inspire me to continue working, that make me want to write and to share my work. 

but when someone treats me like a content-production machine, it makes me want to stop creating. i have a life outside of fanfic and fanart, and even making fanart and fanfic is in service of my own enjoyment of said thing. 

so please treat creators like people. if you’re excited about something, share that excitement with us, but please take a moment to elaborate on that excitement. because a single word demand for content Is Not It

Pissa Headcanons to rattle around my brain like Tallulah's maracas

I feel like I shouldn't need to clarify this but I will anyway- this is all about the Cubitos, not the CCs

Sun and Moon relationship, but they look like opposite of what they are (Philza looks like he's the sun but he's actually the moon and vise versa)

Missa's hair is significantly longer than what it was after he returns to the island (Philza LOVES it)

Missa is deffo the type to give lots and lots of small pecks just all over Philza's face. Philza is just constantly sat there blushing and smiling

Missa likes to teach Phil how to play guitar (yes he does the thing where he sits behind him and holds the back of his hands to show him how to play. Great stuff)

Philza loves horror and doesn't get scared easily, Missa also loves horror but does get scared easily. Cue movie marathons between them where Missa is constantly jumping and Philza (playfully) laughing at him

I'm sure this is basically canon now but Missa also loves to teach Philza how to dance- in return Philza likes to help Missa out with fighting and offers to spar with him. They both have equally flustered reactions to the other showing them how to do said activity

Missa is very physical affection oriented. Whenever Philza is in his vicinity they're hardly apart for even a second because of how close Missa wants to be all the time (90% of the time he's not even doing it consciously)

Missa is taller than Philza (Avians tend to be shorter on average since it helps out with flying) it's not major or a huge difference in any normal circumstance but it definitely feels that way as soon as they're close in proximity to each other (it does not help that Missa wears those big ass goth boots with thick soles/heels, making him appear even taller than usual)

Philza likes to collect items that remind him of the people he's closest too (i.e, Technoblades emerald, Wilbur's guitar pick, Tallulah's amapola, Chayanne's rubber duck etc) for Missa it's a sugar skull mask Missa decorated for him (it includes his green colour scheme and the hardcore heart)

Missa also loves to braid Philza's hair and preen his wings and takes great pride in doing so (he's not AMAZING at it, but he still loves to do it)

Every government assigned couple were given rings when they first joined, at first Philza and Missa wore theirs as necklaces before they actually developed any feelings for each other- now they both wear them on their right ring fingers (they unconsciously agreed that they'll move the rings onto their left hands if they ever actually got married)

Philza can understand birds (he mostly understands crows but he's able to piece together what other types of birds are saying as well) so he's often telling them to "shush" when they catch him and Missa alone together

Missa has death touch, meaning anything living will die if they touch his bare skin. Anything besides (Death's favourite) Philza of course. (Also the death touch does not work on undead which is why he still hides away from Zombies and Skeletons, which is partially the reason why he's kinda shit at fighting)

Trans ftm q!Philza but his top surgery scars are the shape of an upsidedown heart (Missa thinks it's SO PRETTY)

Mumza is watching all of this go down with a bowl of popcorn like her personal weekly telenovela. She finds it the funniest thing that Philza's type is essentially "tall, dark and emo"

Wilbur did not know that Philza would like men, the whole "Phil- I didn't know you were bi, and polyamourus" is still canon, but at first Wilbur was kinda just joking not thinking there was actually anything behind it. You can imagine his shock when in fact, his dad does indeed like men.

I know it's silly, but I can't get the idea of Philza introducing his crow flock to people like.

Philza: yeah I've had them put looking for the eggs which is why you havent seen them for a bit. Not that they found anything useful either. Mostly they just steal shiny shit from their favourite man around the island to make me talk to them.

Other: what.

Philza: yeah wild right? And you see those ones fighting? The one with the gold heart thinks I should kiss Forever, the one with the gapple is saying I should fuck Etoiles, that one over there is saying Fit, the screaming one is reminding them of Missa, the confused one on team BadBoyHalo. It's a pretty small team, but they have spirit. Pretty sure some of them might actually be spirits but we run on a policy of if you look like a crow and squark like a crow we don't ask questions.

Other: and the laughing one?

Philza: oh she's speaking on behalf of my wife.

Other: you can talk to people off the island?! Wait your wife?!

Philza: yeah, but all she ever does is laugh and tell me to "have fun" and "just do it" and make out with all the men on the island. So the Feds overlook it.

deathduo family/pissa nation I see you, I hear you, and I sympathize with u. i offer some headcanons to further your copium in these dark days. to be honest, it was between this and angst headcanons for them 💀 let me know if you want those too

- Missas absence has done little to affect Phil or his relationship with him. As an immortal or extremely old being himself, especially one who works for the god of death, he is unaffected by the amount of time he's been away. A couple months away means nothing in the great scheme of things.

- Phil sings some of the songs Missa first sang to Chayanne, albeit badly, as lullabies often. He's attempted to play Missas guitar with the help of Wilbur, but it's never gone quite right.

- Before Chayanne learned to cook from Missa, in the early days Missa would cook for the other two. Since Missa is a skeleton and more active at night, Phil would often fall asleep to the sounds and smells of cooking, and wake up to a fridge stocked with meals for the day. When Missa came back briefly, Phil woke up to an overflowing fridge and pantry from Chay + Missas cooking adventures.

- Missa would never share his recipes with Phil, telling him it was a secret, but the one thing he showed him was how to up his avocado toast game. Phil became obsessed with this recipe and still tries to perfect it, but Missa seems to have a magic touch with this sort of thing.

- When Phil and Missa first started living together, Phil realized his husband is cringefail at living in the overworld. So there was a lot of hurt/comfort and teasing over this. Phil, being the more experienced overworld death practitioner, had to give Missa lessons on how to survive in the overworld, what's poisonous and what's not, etc. In turn, Missa told him stories and taught him songs, how to skip rocks and make the best paints out of natural resources.

- Phil got Missa a cat after hearing about what happened with his first one (When Spreen killed it for a deal w the devil), which he took with him when he left.

- There's an inside joke between Phil and Chayanne involving Missas protectiveness over Chay. "Missa would have a heart attack if he saw you doing that", etc

- I have a headcanon that along with the tickets, each pair also got something that links them to the other. Jewelry, etc. Tldr, the items can lead them to one another and can give insights on how the other is doing, based on it glowing or something. For Phil and Missa, I like to think they got matching earrings. With the distance and time between them, the connection is weaker, but Phil often wakes up to it flickering light, an indication that Missa is still thinking about him.

Something I noticed while watching Missa's vod from the other day is that he is able to tell what the different types of Phils laughs mean. (09/15 Missa POV) At 03:30 hours in, Phil starts laughing at the translator doing it's thing and Missa immediately clocked it, glanced at the translator and started laughing along in less than a second. Phil could have been laughing at something Tubbo did or him falling into the avocado toast factory but Phil has a different laugh and vocal stims for stuff like that (I'm a long time crow shhh) but Missa could tell what he was laughing at.

I don't know, it's just really cool to see how close the two have gotten in just half a year as friends both cc! and q! (definitely more than that with the character wise {at the very least q!Missa but q!Phil is definitely getting a side eye, someone has literally done three different essays on q!Missa and q!Philzas relationship on here and they very worth the read, we love a wholesome QPR} but you know, this post is more about how well they know each other), most of that while Missa was traveling across the world. Classic QSMP effect is going crazy doing it's thing and just goes to show just how amazing server has been, not just for us watching, but also the streamers, and that is something to celebrate.
