Everyone is so fixated on Jimin needing a savior, someone to protect him from the world, that I must bring this up.
Did you all forget about Jungkook's anxiousness?
Jimin could have done social service like Yoongi if his physical pain were too much to handle. The Korean army has a medical checkup before enlisting men into their lines; they undergo several interviews to make sure they can train safely. We must trust the process.
In my opinion, even with Jimin's chronic pain and maybe other health issues that we won't know about (because it's personal), we SHOULD be considering mental health. And not only JIMIN'S mental health but JUNGKOOK'S as well.
So I'm reminding y'all those who see JK as a macho man, alpha mafia boss, that our maknae has anxiety. We have seen him trying to hide, run away, shaking legs and hands in several occasions. We know he's a giant baby. No matter how grown up he is, how strong he got, sometimes mental health takes a toll in the patient.
Maybe they are doing this for JK's mental health as well, he's not a robot. Jimin's touch (just a hand in JK's knee, waist, back, or shoulder) can settle him; just as much as JK's presence makes Jimin feel safe.
Jungkook is no robot and Jimin is not helpless. They are adults, humans. Don't forget this.

Today in 'Missing Bangtan', I revisited the 2020 Festa 'Map of the Song'. It put such a goofy smile on my face that I had to share it.
There is so much content to re-watch during their absence that it's easy to get lost or distracted trying to find that *one* piece of content to hit that nostalgic sweet spot. Look no further. This is it. The karaoke booth of Bangtan songs waiting to be turned into trot versions is so unhinged! It's also sweet and funny and cute and filled with iconic little moments, and not to forget.. seemingly unguarded kukumimi chemistry. To the max pro 3000. Jk hand kiss 👀 Slow dancing, waist holding 👀 Giggles bcs my bf is hyper 👀 personal space, who is she? Without flinching 👀
Somehow, this MOT song concept feels like it showed them during a candid moment, instead of it being 'a performance'. Like thst booth was there and operational in the studio, and they filmed these during the lunch break, members walked in when they felt like it, and ofc the Maknae line squatted the joint like it was their main residence. I suppose that's one of the reasons why RunBTS was always so appealing. It showed the members like they were, just 7 guys taking part in crazy games that are actually just a bonding moment caught on tape. RunBTS, we didn't know how good we had it when you dropped content each week 😩😩😩

Jimin estava no aeroporto rumo a Nova York no dia 24/04 e ele chegou usando uma camiseta (10x maior que ele hahahaha) do designer chamado Willy Chavarria, que é o novo vice-presidente sênior da Calvin Klein para design de moda masculina. O que me deixou pensando muito, será que é um presente do jk? ou é uma camiseta do Jk? Claro que nunca saberemos, mais é no mínimo curioso ele usar essa camiseta ao invés de algo da Dior.
Isso me lembrou da vez que o JK foi visto usando uma mochila da Dior, e nós ainda nem sabíamos que o Jimin iria ser o embaixador da marca, o que pode muito bem ter sido um presente do Jimin para o JK, porque o Ji usa uma versão bolsa dessa mesma mochila. AiAiAi esses Jikooks hahahahah.

I know Jimin and Jungkook are close. They've always been close. We know that because they used to stargaze while others were asleep in the early years. I guess what I'm more interested in is why Jungkook "saves" a certain special behavior for Jimin. Just Jimin. I'll explain what I mean by that in a minute. Let's just look at them as two friends because that's all we know that they definitely are. Jungkook was shy at first but he eventually became close to all 6 members. Though Jungkook would spend time with Jimin, on camera he teased him a lot. Then Jimin called him out for how he treated him like he wasn't his hyung and Jungkook's reasoning was that it was because he liked Jimin too much. He even admitted separately that he would ignore Jimin's jokes and seemed cold/shy (cold was a word they used in the subtitles) but that he felt the most comfort with Jimin. The teasing persisted on camera. Then there's the factor that Jimin is the one he spends the most time with off camera, they even went on a trip alone, so why is he so hesitant to be more affectionate with Jimin publicly like he is with the others? He obviously likes being around Jimin and no doubt Jimin is one of his deepest best friends so why is Jimin once again the one that he treats differently even though we know he adores Jimin? Then there's his refusal to just be honest about it lol Asked why he's always recording Jimin, Jungkook says it's because he's always around. Um yeah right. Lmao We know they're close, why can't he just say he enjoys filming Jimin because he's interesting to record? He's the one with the most time on all the GCF videos. We know Jungkook finds Jimin interesting to film. Be honest. Like what's the big deal? Or saying he goes to Jimin's hotel room a lot because he's the closest. Again yeah right. Why can't he just say he enjoys being around Jimin because they have a lot of fun or a lot in common together? Nobody would think anything of someone enjoying hanging around one of their best friends a lot. I just find it interesting that the one he spends the most time with gets the "special" treatment publicly. I didn't even mention the sometimes awkwardness or odd tension between Jimin and Jungkook that should not exist between two people who spend as much time together as they do. I know the first thought would be because they're actually a couple. We don't know that. So if they are just friends, what do you think would be the reason for all if this? I wish I was a psychologist to study human behavior.
I gotta say i’m a little confused by your ask anon lol cause i feel like you answered your own question.. Why would jimin get the “special” treatment if he was just his best friend? Only explanation for me would be that he isn’t.
His behavior sometimes reminds me of a friend i had in high school who had a boyfriend but wasn’t allowed to date. They had the same friend groups and always hung out in groups outside of school incase anyone saw them. She was a lot more comfortable messing around with our friends (male and female), but when it came to interacting with her boyfriend (out of school) she became SO awkward. We called her out for it all the time lol but she would laugh and say it’s cause she doesn’t know how to act normal around him without giving their relationship away. She just felt like if her parents saw them together they’d automatically know. I think when you’ve got something to hide, you tend to overcompensate to avoid it being exposed.
So I feel like from an outside perspective, it wouldn’t be a big deal if he just treated him like the rest of the members. or if he became more affectionate in public. But maybe to him it is a big deal. Maybe he feels more vulnerable around jimin in front of cameras because his relationship with him is different. Maybe he feels less in control of the situation when cameras are around and deflection is what works for him. There’s so many possible explanations for the way he behaves sometimes. But we can’t read his mind, so we will probably never know what goes through his head when he does those things. We can only speculate.

1) SoHee represents someone JK loves (in this narrative)
2) They fight a lot, maybe more like bickering, in a fun way.
3) JK follows that person around, relentlessly (satellite jeon, someone?)
4) JK wants their attention so f* much, to the point of tiring this person (I can recall some moments of JK pouting at JM for not getting his attention)
5) JK says "I'll show you my devotion", "Every hour, every second...".... showing that he clearly wants to be with this person all day, everyday ("JK comes to my room every day, three times a day", "JK and I click", "We are night owls", "We get e/o", "I was with JK..." period; Do I have to say who am I quoting?)
6) Laundry room (You know what I mean)
7) Fighting in the rain (you know what I mean...)
And most importantly:
In this story/narrative, it feels that JK tries to follow this person around as much as he can, doing the impossible, but the world around them seems to be against them (hence the storm, everything shattering around, the wind that blows him away, the accidents, the drowning). The world is trying to pull them apart, but in the end, this person extends their hand, JK takes it, and even when the rain is pouring, there's chaos around them, they are together. They leave together. This is kind of, to me, like representing that to him everything is ok as long as he's holding onto that person, even if the world is not ok around them.

I totally agree with you that the member who may have the most difficulty in adjusting to a military life seems to be Tae. He's such a precious free soul😢 However, I also see him as a practical person who won't hesitate to choose an option that will benefit him. What I mean by that is, I've heard that people with money and connection are usually given relatively cushioned tasks while serving. If that is really the case, I think Tae won't decline such options, and I hope that would be the case for him. However, I'm more worried about our Minkookies in that sense... In my eyes, JM and JK seem to be people who wouldn't want to be treated differently from their peers when it comes to difficult circumstances. I think they might decline any special treatments, and that thought makes me a bit worried.
I just hope whatever happens will bring the best outcomes for all 7 of them in the long run🤞
