Miraculous Theory (SPOILERS) Code 11-29-2410
First of all, if you can figure out the reasoning behind the Code Number before Thursday, May 23, 2019 (Central Time), I might write a free fic for you! Message me with an answer before then if possible! If nobody does, I’ll just post the answer on that day!
EDIT: TIME’S UP ON THE CONTEST, AND AS WE DON’T HAVE A WINNER (MUCH LESS A COMPETITOR...), I’LL GIVE THE ADMITTEDLY-TWO-DAYS-LATE ANSWER!
THE NUMBERING OF THE LETTERS IN THE NAME ALIX MAKE 1, 12, 9 AND 24! AFTER REARRANGING THOSE TO MAKE THE FIRST 6 NUMBERS, YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THE ROMAN NUMERAL FOR X IS 10, WHICH IS THE REASON FOR THE LAST TWO!
NOW THAT THAT’S OVER, ON WITH THE SHOW! HOWEVER...
SPOILERS BELOW IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED TIMETAGGER AND DON’T WANT SPOILERS!
Anyway, this theory is a potential backstory on why Alix’s watch became the Rabbit Miraculous.
It starts with the idea that Future!Lila becomes the new Hawkmoth. The newly named Foxglove inexperienced in comparison to Gabriel, so she needs to “train” the akuma or whatever it will be called before it stands a chance against Future!Ladybug and company.
Nino has certainly earned Marinette’s ire due to the Lila fiasco, and while he may be worthy of a Miraculous, this distrust makes a powerful one such as the Turtle unsafe in his hands. Still, he has info that he could accidentally leak if not watched, so they give him the Rabbit for now. The newly-nicknamed Capēnsis reaches redemption or something under this title.
Then Future!Teenage!Chris, who either knows Nino was Carapace or really likes him and was saddened to see him go, is angered by Ladybug and Chat’s decision, deeming them “unfit to be adults.”
He gets what I really want to call bowtized by Foxglove. As previously stated, she needs to train him, so they go back in time (to areas that won’t affect the future, don’t worry) for a while.
Meanwhile, the heroes are searching for a while. Something happens and Fluff’s Miracle Stone gets broken. Future!Alix, who is in the area when it happens hears/sees too much, follows them to their hideout/Fu’s shop (if he’s still alive) & offers her pocket-watch as a replacement that somehow works out, reviving Fluff into the new stone.
Future!Nino retires as a wielder and maybe takes over as Guardian if Fu’s dead (though given the distrust, maybe not), and as Future!Alix knows and cares about the watch well (plus she can do maintenance with it - once magically trained, she could let the watch get broken and fix it easily), she is made the wielder, becoming Bunnix!
A little while later, Timetagger is ready to go and travels to “present day” Paris. Bunnix follows, reunites with “Minibug and Chaton Noir,” meets her past self, and the rest is history!

Superkids: Prologue
Because of an anon asking me if I had any ideas for some damianette kids or adrijon kids I had to make them. So now I feel like a gotta write a good enough story for them too.
Background info:
Sophia Agreste-Kent: daughter of Jon Agreste-Kent and Adrien Agreste ten years old refers to Jon as ma at home but pop in public and Adrien as father or dad
Luna Wayne: daughter of Marinette Wayne and Damian Wayne 13 years old
Lucas Wayne: son of Marinette Wayne and Damian Wayne 15 years old
Ryan Graham: son of ? 14 years old
.........................................
Sophia pulled her hair back and smiled at herself in the mirror like her father told her to. It was her first photo shoot and she was nervous. She had never considered herself pretty in fact, boys threw dirt at her all the time but ma said that was just something boys did when they wanted attention.
“Pull yourself together, it’s not like he’s going to be there,” Sophia said to herself and looked out her window and saw a girl with short blue tinted hair and crazy eyes.
“What’s up Agreste-Kent?” Luna asked her best friend chilling on her window.
“Getting ready for my first photo shoot dad’s orders,” Sophia said and Luna hopped into the bathroom.
“Uncle Jon always said you’re hair looks better down, why are you wearing it up?” Luna asked grabbing Sophia’s head and carefully slicing the holder and brown locks fell over Sophia’s shoulders.
“Hey!” Another body found it’s way through her window.
“Luna, come on mom says it’s time for school,” Lucas said one leg dangling out the window.
“Whatever, keep your hair down!” Luna yelled front flipping out the second story window and landing on her feet.
“You are crazy Luna Wayne!” Sophia yelled at her friend who stuck her tongue out and Lucas just walked away not saying a word.
Sophia walked down the stairs of the new Agreste Manor. Her grandfather had been imprisoned for being Hawkmoth so her father sold the old one and built a new manor in Gotham six miles down the road from Wayne Manor.
“Sophia! Come on you’re going to be late for school!” Jon yelled up at his daughter grabbing a backpack and stepping out of Adrien’s office. Adrien walked out too chuckling at his husband.
“She has a photo shoot today,” Adrien said and Jon dropped the backpack and sat down. “You seem exhausted darling, you should take a break from patrolling for one night,” Adrien said wrapping his arms around his husband from behind.
“I know, I’m only twenty eight and I’m working myself harder than I ever thought I would in my entire life,” Jon said looking up at Adrien who smiled softly at his husband.
“Maybe it’s time we tell her,” Adrien suggested and their daughter walked down the stairs two seconds later wearing a dress designed by Marinette for MDC + Agreste fashion line. Adrien had decided to combine their fashion lines cause they were friends and Jon didn’t need his husband and cousin bickering back and forth.
“Tell me what?’ Sophia asked eyeing her father and “mother” carefully.
“Later, for now we’re going to be later and that’s your aunt’s thing,” Jon said and the three walked out to the garage.
***
Luna sat in the car with her brother who was looking out the window with his permanent scowl on his face. Their mother often asked herself why she “popped one out that has to be so much like their father”.
“I said no Luna, you can’t tell Sophia about her powers, they might not even manifest,” Marinette said from the front seat and they arrived at school.
“Uncle Jon and Uncle Adrien are never going to tell her though,” Luna whined wanting a new partner, her brother was smart but he was too grumpy for her.
“Her birthday is tomorrow, she’s turning ten. I’ll talk to Jon about it but if he says no then we wait until next year,” Marinette looked back at Luna’s disappointed face. “I’ll talk to him at the shoot today don’t you worry Luna,” Marinette said and the kids got out of the car.
“We have to tell her,” Luna said to Lucas and rolled his eyes.
“We can’t tell her, she’s not ready yet,” Lucas said echoing his mother’s words.
“Fine, I’ll tell her myself,” Luna said storming off and running into a tall blonde boy who reached out a hand to help her.
“Luna Wayne right?” the boy asked and she nodded. “Ryan Graham.” She smiled at him.
“Thanks for helping me up, what grade are you in?” she asked wondering if he was a freshman like herself.
“Ninth grade, you?” Ryan asked and she gave him a look. “Right, ninth.” They walked down the same hall and into the same class.
***
Sophia stood in white flats and a navy and maroon dress in front of a water fountain. Marinette ran in fashionably late as always.
“Jon, we need to talk,” Marinette said pulling her cousin away. Adrien set up Sophia for some photos. They got through about two photos when Sophia started hearing something.
“You need to tell her about her powers,” a voice said and a sigh followed.
“I know Mari and I was planning on doing that tomorrow, she might not even have them.” The voices were cutting in and out and there was a loud ringing in her ears. She didn’t even realize that she was screaming until she was being held by her father and ma was running over.
“Tell her today, but once she gets back to normal, I’ll call Damian to pick up Lucas and Luna,” Marinette ran away with her phone. Adrien held Sophia as she cried. Why was everything so loud all of a sudden? What wasn’t ma telling her?
***
Luna sat in class looking at the boring lessons on the board. The intercom told her she was being dismissed and she was happy but what for? She saw her father standing there and Lucas walked out behind her.
“Father, what’s happening?” Lucas asked getting into the front seat.
“You’ll see.” Luna started bouncing in her seat. “Kent wasn’t this much of a pain when he changed,” Damian whispered to himself driving toward Agreste Manor.
They arrived and stepped inside hearing screaming all the way from downstairs. Adrien and Marinette were wearing soundproof headphones. Adrien pulled his phone out and so did Damian.
She started seeing through walls and hearing voices.
Damian nodded and the screaming died down a little so they took the headphones off. Jon walked down the stairs with his sweater untucked, hair everywhere, and glasses off.
“I’m never having another kid,” Jon said one eye twitching. Sophia walked down the stairs wearing her ma’s glasses and headphones. Jon had curled himself into Adrien’s arms head in his chest and let out a groan.
“You did good babe,” Adrien said patting his husband’s head.
“Really, in front of the kids?” Marinette asked and Adrien just shrugged.
“Sophia?” Adrien asked and she looked over at her father.
“What?” she asked and Adrien gestured to sit down.
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed but you have powers. See your pop or ma as you call him is half alien. His father is Superman saving people who need help and pop saves people too,” Adrien said to Sophia who looked back and forth from Jon to Adrien.
“So grandpa is...” Sophia started before smiling wider than humanly possible.
“Your pop and grandpa aren’t the only heroes. I was a hero in Paris named Chat Noir in fact everyone in this room is a hero. Aunt Marinette is Lady-Red, Uncle Damian is Batman, Luna is Minibug, and Lucas is Robin. Of course your father is Flamebird and Uncle Connor the new Superman,” Adrien said and Sophia’s eyes lit up.
“But there’s something important about this that you can’t tell anyone. Recently one of the jewels that gives normal people powers has gone missing. It’s called the moth miraculous, I have reason to think that someone stole it from our house, I am giving Luna a chance to be the old me and she’s been training. I was hoping that your pop would tell you tomorrow but your father said that he is willing to give you the miraculous of the black cat so Luna has a partner,” Marinette said and Sophia was freaking out.
“What’s the moth miraculous do?” Sophia asked looking up at Marinette.
“It can create powers beyond imagination, they can be taken at will and controlled. I just hope that we can get it back before anything too bad happens,” Marinette said and the family sat down.
***
Ryan walked home into a dusty large apartment. “Father! Mother! I’m home!” Ryan called out. “I befriended the Wayne girl like you said!”
“Good job son!” a man yelled from the shadows.
“We’re so proud of you!” a woman cooed. A man in a gray suit and a woman in a red romper and hair in two ponytails in the front of her head stepped out of the shadows.
“You’re becoming a true part of the Graham de Vanily-Rossi family,” the man said hugging his son. His mother held out a broach.
“Let’s get started, shall we?”
..................................................
I can’t even think about who the parents might be? Also family tree time Lois is Sabine’s cousin making Marinette and Jon second cousins making the kids third or fourth cousins which at that point I don’t really think counts. Adrien and Felix are cousins.

you know, considering future!ladynoir don’t even move in that one scene, i feel like it’s just the same minibug and chaton noir models but they scale them to be slightly larger, which explains why they have the same costumes.

Identity Reveal, post Chat Blanc
"No, oh no, no, no" Marinette groans, panic rushing through her as all of the air is sucked out of her lungs. Chat Noir stands a few feet away, his jaw dropped as his eyes fill with concern.
"M'lady?" He says, and though it's soft, it's enough to make Marinette crumple to the ground, her chest heaving as panicked sobs rip through her. She flinches as arms wrap around her, not able to find the comfort in Chat Noir's arms that she usually finds.
"You found out-oh God no-I'm so sorry-" she says, her words tripping over themselves as she shoves back the tears to instead focus on the panic.
"Marinette, please, it's okay, please, it was my fault, I'm so sorry." Chat says softly, slowly rubbing circles on Marinette's back.
"You have to become the Guardian." She says suddenly, springing back so that she's able to look at Chat's face. He blinks slowly, face scrunched.
"But that's- you're the Guardian, Marinette." He says, shaking his head.
"Yes, but, I can't be. Not anymore. You don't- you can't understand. There's something that happened, and I didn't tell you because I knew you would blame yourself and I couldn't- I couldn't let you do that to yourself. But now, I'm afraid we're on that path once again and the only way I can think to stop it is if I stop being Ladybug." Marinette rambles, her voice breaking as tears spring back into her eyes.
"Marinette, no!" Tikki, who had been silently watching, yells suddenly.
"What else am I supposed to do, Tikki? You know how dangerous this whole situation is!" Marinette argues.
"I did something bad, didn't I?" Chat asks quietly, his face nearly void of emotion.
"Not you, Kitty. It was an alternate timeline because I was stupid and reckless with my identity. Just as I was today." Marinette admits, dropping her head in shame.
"You can't blame yourself, Marinette. We can figure this out together, that's what we're supposed to do. We're partners." Chat says, his voice laced with panic as he reaches out to grab her hands. Marinette flinches back, shaking her head.
"Not this time, Chaton. Tikki, I re-"
"Whoa there Minibug!" A familiar voice calls, making Marinette's blood run cold.
"Did it happen again?" She asks in a small, broken voice, momentarily stunning Bunnyx.
"I, uh, no." Bunnyx says, glancing over at a very distressed (and confused) Chat Noir. "No, that's not why I'm here."
"Then why-" Marinette starts, only to be cut off.
"You were about to give up being Ladybug. That's not part of the plan, Minibug. Remember? The future team? Defeating Hawkmoth? Any of that ringing a bell?" Bunnyx asks, arms crossed as she tries not to look too disappointed in her friend.
"But- I- he- my identity?" Marinette stumbles over her words.
"Oh Minibug, you were always meant to know each other's secret identity. But the way everything happened last time, was wrong. But I've been in the Burrow, and I can't find a way that this would lead to something similar. You're just gonna have to trust me, and trust yourselves." Bunnyx says, a soft smile replacing her usual smirk.
"Trust, ourselves?" Marinette asks, glancing down at her hands as memories of a city so destroyed that only two lone figures remained swept through her head. A voice, broken and eerie singing a song of mourning. Blinking back the bad memories, the ones that haunt her dreams, Marinette takes in a deep breath. She sneaks a glance at Chat Noir, the boy that she trusts with her life, and a small smile creeps back onto her face.
"Kitty?" Marinette says, and for the first time, in what feels like forever, she's blessed with a genuine smile from Chat Noir.
"Yes, Purrincess?"
"I think you're stuck with me." She says, laughing at the satisfied grin overtaking Chat's face.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." He says. And for the first time in a long time, everything feels right.

Covered in Ashes
This drabble was requested by @27percentonrottentomatoes through ko-fi. Thanks so much for your support and your super kind words. They made my day! <3
There are spoilers for the episode Chat Blanc though it diverges from canon.
___
“You don’t look very happy to see me, Minibug.” Bunnyx stepped out of her portal but left it open behind her.
Ladybug sighed and dropped her yoyo back to her side, realizing she wasn’t going home like she’d planned. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure Chat Noir was still making his way across rooftops on his way home in the opposite direction. “It’s never good when you wait to come see me after Chat Noir is gone. Please don’t tell me you found another one.”
“Afraid so. Come on.” The older hero returned through the portal and Ladybug reluctantly followed her.
“We have to be getting up into the thirties now. How does this keep happening to him? I’ve tried to be so careful. I haven’t done anything that could give away my identity to anyone.”
“You’re not the only factor. I’ve told you that before,” Bunnyx replied, searching for the right viewing window. “And this one is different from the others. I don’t think you’re going to be able to change things back.”
Ladybug stepped closer as her eyes flicked carefully between windows. Bunnyx had given up trying to shield her for the most part and it’d become a blessing and a curse. “Why do you say that?”
“There’s nothing left.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean exactly that.” Bunnyx pointed to a dark screen. “There’s nothing left. The world, the universe, it’s all gone. I don’t think even the Cure can do anything about that. You said Tikki warned you that these Chat Blanc restorations were taking a toll, didn’t you?”
“She said her magic wasn’t meant to be used for something so massive so often.” Ladybug peered into the darkness. “I don’t understand. If Chat Blanc destroyed literally everything in this timeline...”
“He still can’t destroy himself,” she answered softly. “See that small spot there?” She tapped a blurry speck in all the darkness.
“That’s him?” Her voice came out in a breathless whisper. “How...”
“He’s just floating, I think. There’s nothing for him to hold on to. He’s just out there for eternity.”
Ladybug felt her eyes sting. “And I can’t help him?”
Bunnyx sucked in a loud breath. “Well, I can bring him out. I can go grab him, but...”
“But then where does he go,” Ladybug finished. “Because I still have my Chat Noir.”
“Right.”
“Would it...I mean, does the universe implode if they are both in the same timeline?”
She frowned, brow furrowing her mask. “I don’t think so. This Chat is an extension of your Chat, just like I’m a version of the Alix you know. It’s a little timey wimey, but I don’t think it would make too much of a problem.”
“Except for Chat suddenly having a twin.”
“There is that.” They both looked back at the screen, straining to see the small white fleck in all the darkness. “I can...I can just leave him,” Bunnyx offered.  “This timeline is over. There’s nothing left that can happen.”
“But he’s in there and he’s alive. I can’t leave him like that.”
“He might be too far gone. We haven’t come against one that’s destroyed this much.”
“I have to try.”
“The last one tried to kill you as soon as he saw you. He was pretty bad off. This Chat Blanc might be worse.”
Ladybug worried her bottom lip. “Then maybe he shouldn’t see me, or not me like this.”
“It’d be too dangerous for you to try to handle him as Marinette.”
“I don’t know how long he’s going to be here. I can’t stay transformed all the time,” she reasoned. “Chat Noir visits me on my balcony sometimes when he gets lonely. Maybe this Chat will remember it.”
Bunnyx eyed her warily. “Are you sure this is something you want to try?”
“It’s something I have to try.” She looked back at the screen. “I have to save him.”
___
Marinette paced the balcony anxiously. She had a couple of bottles of water and some snacks already set out on the lounger, along with a blanket and, just in case, some pepper spray. She jumped when she heard the telltale staticky spark of a portal opening and she stepped back as it widened.
“I don’t know if this is going to work,” Bunnyx warned as she dragged a limp body through the portal. Chat Blanc’s head lolled to the side and she unceremoniously let him drop to the floor. “I had to knock him out. He lost it when he saw me. He started growling and scratched me pretty good.” She turned her arm to the light to show deep red lines in the torn tatters of her suit.
“I’ll try to talk to him.”
“I don’t know if there’s anyone home to talk to. He’s feral.”
Marinette set her jaw in determination. “I have to try, okay? Maybe he’ll be different with me.”
“Because you love him.”
She blushed and turned her face away. “Because we have a special bond.”
“Sure.” Bunnyx stared down at Chat Blanc. “I’ve looked ahead on this, you know.”
“And?”
“And there’s a few ways it can go, most of them not great, the others tragic,” she admitted.  “So I have to ask again, are you sure?”
“Yes.”
She sighed heavily. “Okay then. I’ll check in when I can. And please be careful, Minibug. The world needs you too.”
Marinette nodded and watched the portal close with Bunnyx in it. She took a steadying breath and knelt down beside the crumpled figure on her balcony. His hair was longer than most of the others she’d come up against. It was ragged and there were tears along his suit. She frowned at the darkened skin she saw through the torn fabric. As an akuma, he shouldn’t have changed like this. His body should’ve been safe with the magic; it was his mind that would’ve suffered. How long had he been like this to show this much damage?
Long enough to give up and try to destroy everything, including himself.
She brushed his hair from his face with care and he flinched at her touch. His eyes stayed closed but there was a tightening around them. “It’s me, Chat,” she said in a soft voice. “It’s just me, Marinette.”
His lips moved but no sound came out, and he curled in on himself.
“Are you hungry or thirsty? I’ve brought some food up for you.”
His eyes opened slowly and Marinette realized she would never be use to seeing them like this. She’d come against dozens of Chat Blancs now but the eyes always hurt her. It wasn’t even the difference in color. They just weren’t his. They were missing that special spark that made Chat Noir who he was.
“Can you hear me, Chat? Do you understand?”
His eyes flicked to hers and then down to her lips. He frowned and kept watching her mouth.
Marinette tried again. “Chat? I’m Marinette.”
He met her gaze once more and there was a light of recognition in them.
“You know me.”
He blinked once, slowly.
“You’re safe now, okay? I’m going to make sure you’re safe.” She reached out to touch his shoulder but dropped her hand when he flinched away before she could touch him. She stood then and crossed the small space. “I’m going to give you some room,” she announced. She sat down on the lounger and placed a bottle of water and a bag of chips at the edge of it and then put her hands in her lap.
Chat Blanc watched her as he pushed himself up into a sitting position. He cocked his head to the side, ears back, unsure.
“A friend helped me find you,” she explained, trying to keep her attention away from the man creeping closer to the lounger as not to scare him back. “I want to help you.”
“Help...me...” His voice was strangled and raspy as if he hadn’t used it in much too long.
Marinette gave up trying not to watch him and felt herself fighting against the lump in her throat. “I’m going to help you, Chaton. I promise.”
He frowned, jaw clenching.  “Mari...nette...”
“Maybe if you drink some water, it will be easier to talk.” She offered the bottle and he eyed it for a few long seconds before roughly taking it from her. He drank sloppily, water running down his chin onto the dirty white of his suit, rivulets of the liquid making sooty runs.
Ash, she realized. His suit was covered in ash from the world he destroyed.
He finished the bottle and let it drop and roll across the wooden planks.
“More?” She held out another and he grabbed it from her and wrenched off the cap. “Try to slow down a little. You’re losing more than you’re getting.”
There was a low growl but he noticeably slowed down, his throat working loudly as he swallowed.
She shivered and realized it had little to do with the cool weather. She was scared of him. Even if she couldn’t admit it aloud, she could at least confess it to herself. This wasn’t her Chat. This wasn’t the partner she knew and loved. This Chat was a stranger and he scared her.
And yet, she still wanted to save him.
Because deep down, she knew he was her Chat all the same.
____
Marinette was exhausted. She’d coaxed Chat Blanc into her room but couldn’t get him down further than her bed. She’d given him more water and snacks but he stayed put, blue eyes glowing down at her in the dim light. She’d finally given up trying anything else and grabbed an extra blanket from her trunk to sleep on the chaise. She knew he was watching her as she tried to force sleep on herself, but she attempted to ignore him. Her mind was just too tired to try anymore tonight.
Her dreams were an uneasy mix of Chat Noir and Chat Blanc morphing into each other and then back again until she was startled awake by something knocking against the hand she had hanging off the side of the chaise. She blinked into the darkness and had to stifle a scream when glowing blue eyes much too close blinked back at her.
“Chat?” she whispered harshly, her heart hammering in her throat.
The blue eyes closed again and then she felt him bump his head against her hand. Without too much thought, she let her fingers slide into his hair and he pressed up against her palm with a small sound. She stayed stiff for a moment before letting her arm rest and Chat’s head lowered with it. Sleep pulled at her again and she let it take her but she made sure to keep her hand in Chat Blanc’s hair so he knew she was right there with her.
The final sound she heard before she was gone again was a stuttering deep purr that made her feel warm as she drifted away.

Day 3- Time Travel
Marinette took a deep breath of the fragrant afternoon air as she exited the cafe… or tried to, at least. Once again, she wasn’t watching where she was going, although thankfully she had finally forgotten about embarrassing herself that morning. She was in the middle of texting Alya to meet up, and so didn’t notice that she was about to walk through a glowing portal. But since the portal had been activated almost flush with the cafe’s service entrance, perhaps she could be forgiven for that.
There hadn’t been an akuma that day- which was great for her continued employment!- so walking into the midst of a very energetic superhero fight was not what she expected. She looked up at the sound of the first explosion, then leapt to the side to avoid another one. Taking cover behind a car, she was about to dart into an alley to transform when she was suddenly scooped up willy-nilly and flung over someone’s shoulder. Marinette wasn’t typically the type to scream in scary situations, but she did squeak.
“What, no scream? Well, I’m not complaining. We’ll just get you somewhere safe, and then-” Chat’s familiar voice, not to mention the view of his nicely defined bottom and belt tail, calmed her instantly. At least her partner was already on the scene. Now all she had to do was convince him to leave her somewhere close by…
Chat reached a rooftop out of range of the current battlefield, and set her down. He gave her a brief but reassuring smile and was about to jump away again when he did a double take.
“Marinette?” he asked, wide-eyed. “But when did you-” He looked off into the distance, his eyes narrowing a little, and Marinette broke out in a sweat. Had he seen her earlier? Did he suspect something? The next instant he was checking his baton and then his expression cleared. “Ah. Yes. Okay then!”
He smiled again, wide and comforting. “Don’t worry, everything’s purr-fect… or will be shortly, if I know my Lady... But this akuma brings people back from the past, and it seems you’ve walked into one of the gates he put up all over town. But Miraculous Ladybug should send you right back to where you were, so it’s no cat-tasrophy!”
He grinned and winked, and Marinette’s brain finally registered just how far she was looking up at her chaton. He was much broader across the shoulders, too, and his arms had filled out nicely. Marinette blushed when she caught herself actually checking him out, and averted her eyes.
Chat just chuckled, but then his attention was caught by something else and he suddenly whirled, whipping his baton out defensively. But it was only Ladybug- a much older, taller Ladybug- with a new suit design that instantly made Marinette wonder why she hadn’t changed her own suit design yet. She was apparently leading the akuma somewhere as Marinette caught sight of a flying figure behind her, screaming incoherently.
“Come on, Chat! I figured it out!” Ladybug yelled as she passed, holding up what looked like a red and black spotted tuning fork. But then she did a double take and missed her footing on the next yo-yo dismount. Marinette cringed and flinched in sympathy as Ladybug took a tumble. In an instant she was back on her feet, though, and leaping over to their rooftop.
Chat scooped her up again, and they all hid behind some kind of small shed or maintenance building. Ladybug grabbed her shoulders and looked her all over, a stern expression on her face. “Did she do anything to you, Chaton? Try to take your miraculous?”
“No, no! She’s not an amok, my Lady,” Chat soothed. “Check the date.”
Ladybug squinted suspiciously, but pulled her yo-yo out. However, her suspicion faded rapidly. “Oh! It’s today!” She looked up with a grin which Marinette tried to return, however waveringly. “Don’t worry, everything will make much more sense in a little while.” Ladybug winked at her, leaving Marinette wondering what exactly was supposed to make sense. Her day had been pretty normal so far- well, except for the time travel. Ladybug then looked back down at her yo-yo and her eyes widened.
“Crap! It’s almost time for our favorite model to make his appearance. You good here?” she said, looking over at Chat. He gave her his usual two-finger salute, but then both of them leaned in for a quick kiss, leaving Marinette gaping. Although, when she thought about it, she couldn’t remember why seeing Ladybug and Chat Noir kissing was such an unthinkable occurrence for her. Then Ladybug threw out her yo-yo and swung away.
“Wha-?” Marinette said. Chat started to open his mouth, but then Marinette shook her head. “No! Nevermind- I don’t need to know!”
Chat chuckled and patted her shoulder. “Don’t worry. Like milady said, it’ll all make sense in a little while, Minibug.” Marinette’s eyes widened, but before she could panic, he got an unholy grin on his face. He held his gloved hand over the top of her head, moving it horizontally from her to the middle of his chest and back again. “Hey! Look at how short you still are! You’re a fun-sized Marinette! You’re a Fun-inette!”
Marinette glowered at him, crossing her arms. “Just because I’m younger right now, doesn’t mean I won’t throw you in the Seine for that after the battle,” she threatened. Chat just laughed, making Marinette pout. She decided to change the subject.
“Okay, so what day is it, because obviously you two knew to expect something like this today, so me knowing won’t change anything.”
Chat held out his baton for her to see. Marinette’s eyebrows rose- apparently she was quite a few years in the future. That… could explain a few things.
“So, how long-?” Marinette started to ask, but then the miraculous ladybugs descended on them and Marinette found herself back on the street outside the cafe.

one little kitty up on the roof...
can you hear my heart crying in the distance?? yep and today it brings some preeeeeetty long angst cuz I’m writing out everything + my own ending :) it’s in chat blanc’s pov most of the time, so yes, spoiler alert, but there’s also a little from marinette and bunnyx’s perspective and I also added “lyrics” to the song that chat blanc sang hehe sooo gonna wait for the tears to come in the corner of my room since I’m torturing myself with this one :> (yikes… even after cutting scenes and making some as short as possible it’s extremely long but I swear it is a one-shot and i don’t wanna make it a 2-parter ://)
Blue. That’s the first colour he saw. His vision cleared, and he realised he was underwater. He fully awoke from his restless unconsciousness, where he dreamt that he razed his home to the ground with a huge ball of Cataclysm, along with his family and the love of his life. However, what he saw in front of him confirmed that his nightmare was a reality. His eyes widened. So it’s true, I did this to them. This is all my fault.
He swam, away from the last of his family, away from the girl who had captured his heart. He didn’t realise that he could breathe underwater, only focusing on running away from his mistake. He proceeded to scale the familiar TVi building, seeing as it’s the only building that is standing. He ignored the pounding of his head, a voice screaming for him to go back and somehow get the magic earrings in his possession. He felt like he no longer had a sense of purpose, due to the strings that controlled him being cut off from him forever, but the power and the hopelessness and the mantra of Get the Miraculous for The Wish! still remained running through his mind, his body, his heart.
He knew everything about someone who he had locked up in his heart, and the only thing he knew about himself was his name and what he did.
My name is Chat Blanc, and I just made the biggest mistake in the history of mistakes.
Seconds turned to hours turned to days turned to months. He wondered around the building he was stranded on, rolled around the roof that he had so many memories of. He looked at the moon that stayed up in the sky all this while with a small portion of it exploded, yet another reminder of his mistake. The sun was nowhere to be found. His sanity slowly slipped away, disappearing till the rogue power that was left in him took over, yet somehow it mixed with a small part of the other person inside him. He now spends his days idly waiting, the need to make a wish to fix his mess growing desperate.
Chat Blanc was sitting on the edge of the roof, staring past his feet into the water below as he had been doing every few hours now. His white cat ears drooped against his white hair, which would have camouflaged if not for his hair having silver streaks from the reflection of light. His body stood out against his blue surroundings, his white silhouette an indication of him being the only living thing in this world.
“One little kitty up on the roof, languishing on it without his lady…”
He missed the voices behind him while he was lost in his thoughts, but later one of those voices managed to cut through the fog in his head.
“Chat Noir?”
The cat ears perked up, not believing what it heard. He turned around to take a peek, hoping to prove to himself that he wasn’t being delusional. He was pleasantly surprised to see that the melodious voice of his Princess was real.
“My Lady? I thought I lost you! I was so depurressed that you were gone.”
It pained him to see his love back away from him slowly, fear evident in her bluebell eyes that he loves oh so much. He heard her ask him what happened, but backtracked and told him not to tell her anything before claiming that they were going to fix the mess that he caused.
“Well, of course we’re going to fix this now that you’re back and that you’re going to give me your Miraculous!”
She kicked him away just as he was about to touch the object of his desire.
“My Miraculous? What’s going on with you Chat Noir?”
“I’m sorry if I come off as rude. Please give me your Miraculous my Lady. Chat Blanc has… made a few mistakes.”
Then as she came closer, something flared up inside him. A voice, a voice he had trapped away for so long was surfacing, taking control of just a moment. Save me my Lady, save me! A single tear slipped out the corner of his eye as that voice managed to get a hold of the voice box.
“Save me…”
This little kitty made a mistake, please let him fix it, and bring back his love…
They’ve been playing cat and mouse for a while now, after Chat Blanc took over again and failed to swipe the earrings once more. He had managed to shock her though, speaking her true name, addressing her as the person behind the spotted mask.
How did you manage to find out her identity? Bunnyx thought to herself after getting over the initial shock that one of her closest friends was the one who entrusted her with her Miraculous. She went back in time to a few minutes before she went to get Minibug, and to her horror saw Ladybug leave Adrien’s room just as he entered. He saw her.
“Oh no, just what have you done, Marinette?”
Her anxiety increased tenfold when she found what happened after a completely different story from that of her memories. She picked up the unicorn plushie that she had acquired from Rose all those years ago to see it disappear. Aw man, I was supposed to return that to Rose today. You have to fix this, Minibug!
She went forward by a few seconds, to discover Adrien and Marinette… together? “It’s worse than I feared. You have to hurry Ladybug!” Desperation was clear in her voice as she went back to where the actual Ladybug was.
Chat Blanc used a Super Cataclysm against Ladybug, but she managed to dodge it. The TVi building did not have the same fate though, crumbling down to join the rest of Paris. The world around Bunnyx shook, and she quickly went though the altered timeline to see Marinette and Adrien’s relationship blossom for a few months. She went back to the world Chat Blanc was in, trying to look for clues to obtain the answer to this mystery. She returned to the alternate timeline to find a nightmare brewing.
All this time… Adrien was the cat, and Hawkmoth had been under our noses… I want to murder Gabriel Agreste!
She kept watch on Chat Blanc and Ladybug, grimacing as her leg faded away, and hoped that the heroine would be able to save them all.
The Butterfly had threatened his Bug, and the cat had failed to protect his Princess…
Chat Blanc had been caught completely off guard when Ladybug collided into his back and took his baton. He had long since figured out that this Ladybug was brought from the past by Bunnyx, and was probably watching from wherever she was. The evil power laughed in delight, still trying to push away the other voice who has become very persistent.
“Try again, my Lady!”
He threw more of his destructive power at her but she kept running further away, till she was trapped at the edge of the fallen Eiffel Tower. She still refused to cooperate and even called her lucky charm, so he decided to try a different tactic. Fine, if she won’t understand, then I’ll give her answers.
And so he cataclysmed the ground below her and sent her plummeting into the water. The trapped soul screamed in pain. No! Marinette!
Marinette would have appreciated the beautiful colours around her if she was in a different situation. She dove deeper into the water with the help of her yo-yo for oxygen, finding statues of herself and Hawkmoth. The answer to the question had been revealed to Bunnyx.
They crashed though Hawkmoth’s lair after figuring out it’s location. They were ready to take him down, but the villain addressed Chat Noir by his civilian name and revealed his missing mother to be in a glass coffin behind the man, shooting an arrow through the young boy’s heart.
“I’m doing this all for her, Adrien. For you. For us.”
“F-Father! Why? Why? WHY?”
The boy got angry, his powers going out of control. He was a millimetre away from cataclysming his body when he stopped, and the villain took advantage of it by hitting him out of the lair and straight into the metal of the famous Parisian monument, the Eiffel Tower.
“We can save her with your Miraculous, and with hers,” Hawkmoth said as he stalked closer, his son moving away with each step.
Then Ladybug arrived and tried to reason with her partner, which ultimately failed when the butterfly Miraculous wilder sent an akuma out to his own blood and flesh while he was distraught. And when his son succumbed to his power after a long resistance, he forced him to obey him and destroy his sworn enemy so that they could get the jewels that she possessed. It backfired though when the now white cat villain hesitated and ended up using it on himself. As the white ball of destruction grew, Ladybug reached forward towards her kitty in concern while Hawkmoth cowarded and tried to shield himself.
“My Lady…” “My Adrien…”
Ladybug returned to the surface, determined to put an end to all of this. She needed to save her kitty, her partner. He was extremely uncontrollable now though, his power growing in his hand, with a threat on his lips. He was going though a fight internally, one side trying to be the dominant one.
No! You can’t do that!
Yes. I. CAN!
“You don’t love me anymore, so I’ll destroy everything! You, me, our memories, everything that’s left!”
He was going to cause the end of the world.
The kitten’s in pain, he’s out of control. Please save this kitty, dear Marinette…
But then, she admitted defeat and was going to surrender, coming closer till she was a breath away from his lips. His heart swelled with love for her, the locked away soul reaching out to her. Save me…
“I’m no longer Chat Noir, Princess, my Marinette. I am Chat Blanc.”
“But to me, you’ll always be Chat Noir. I know he’s in there somewhere. Please, my kitty, my chaton… Please come back to me…”
Pain. Pain everywhere while the internal conflict flares up from Ladybug’s plea. Chat Blanc bent down on his knees, head pounding in pain as he tried to fight the akuma residing within his bell. Tears were streaming down his cheeks as the voices in his head screamed. The trapped little soul of Adrien fought with all his might to go back to his love as Ladybug held him, whispering words of encouragements and hopes for him to come back. Adrien won in the end, the corrupted akuma flapping out it’s target in the form of a pure white butterfly.
Chat Blanc is very sorry… Please forgive him, my dear Ladybug…
The Miraculous Cure may have fixed everything and saved the future, but Chat Noir remembered. He remembered every detail, every time he tried to inflict hurt on her. He remembered the identities, how his father had not shown him any mercy. He was going to have nightmares, that was for sure.
Ladybug, who currently sat beside him with her head on his shoulder, had said that she had forgotten most of what had happened, only what had happened before she time travelled. But he was not going to let her know of the pain, not going to let her see how much she had actually suffered, so maybe it was a blessing that she forgot. They were going to take Hawkmoth down though, since Chat Noir revealed his identity, but refrained from saying he knew hers. That is for after everything is over.
For now, they will just enjoy their company for a bit before planning starts.
One little kitty up on the roof, watching the sunset with his Lady… bearing the pain and guilt deep in his heart…

Hey, how about a bit of angst for a change of pace? This little ficlet is set during the events of Chat Blanc, so here be spoilers!
Bunnyx stood in the Burrow, staring out at the ruins of Paris as Minibug returned to a time scant minutes before Bunnyx intercepted her on the rooftops. Chat Noir stood on the other side of the portal, shoulders slumped and ears flat against his head--never a good sign, in her experience.
"This isn't your fault," she said. His head whipped up and he stared into the depths of the portal between them even though he couldn't see through it to her. "It's Hawkmoth's."
She knew he knew that, but accepting it was a different story. Lord knew how familiar she found the feeling; she still had nightmares about her time as Timebreaker, and she had claimed nowhere near the number of victims Chat Noir had.
"Will things change?" His voice cracked in a way she'd only heard twice before, both times in far happier moments than this. It was a sound she never wanted to hear in this context again.
"They will," she said. He slumped even further.
"We were so happy," he whispered brokenly.
"You were," she agreed, thinking of the moments she'd witnessed from the Burrow. "And I can promise you'll find your happiness again, Chaton."
Chat Noir looked up again, hope shining in his teary eyes.
She blinked, and he and the devastation he'd caused vanished in a swirl of magical ladybug wings.
