Hello, out of sheer curiosity do you have any headcanons for Millia Rage and Baiken with a short chaotic gremlin of a s/o?

-Baiken wouldn't be having your gremlin energy on most days. Well, depending on how chaotic you are that day. If, you were extra gremlin that day, she will hold you down, until you calm down. She is not in a rush, but if you don't calm soon enough she will slap you on the back of your head.

-Baiken found it somewhat entertaining, most days. How a small gremlin like you, could cause so much trouble. She would follow you around, making sure you didn't get into too much trouble. But, sometimes you two just had to run for it, as the trouble you caused was little bit too much.

-Baiken would tease you, about your height. Placing objects higher than you can reach and such. She liked to tease you, but she regretted it, when you pulled a prank on her. This didn't stop her from teasing you, but she did learn to tone it down.

-Similarly to Baiken, Millia won't be watching your shenanigans for long. When you try to go on your shenanigans, she will use her hair to hold you on your place. She only shook her head, waiting for you to give up on the shenanigan or to agree to do a smaller scale shenanigan.

-Millia doesn't notice your height most of the time. But, at times she does notice it. When you're reaching for something, trying to kiss her and such. She chuckles at the sight before helping you.

-You do consider pulling pranks on her, but you know her hair is off-limit. When you even mention about pulling a prank, like that she gave you a death glare, which made you freeze on your tracks. You instead, do smaller pranks to her. Changing sugar for salt, taking her keys, so she has to come to you for them.

One (Semi-obscure) Fact About Every Guilty Gear Character

I like trivia. And I like Guilty Gear. Being a series that’s been around for the better part of two decades, it’s only natural there’s some details that are less known about. So I wanted to make a silly little compilation about that, inspired by ‘One Obscure Fact About Every Total Drama Character’ by voiceunderthecovers on Youtube.

As the title suggests, I also specifically did my best to pull out facts that may be less known even to fans of the series, so ideally there’s no ‘Sol is based on Freddie Mercury’-tier stuff here. I tried to find something interesting for everyone!

Characters are listed in order of their first playable games

Missing Link

Sol Badguy- Sol was originally meant to be voiced by actor Koichi Yamadera rather than developer Daisuke Ishiwatari, but given the developer's budget at the time, he would have been too expensive to afford

Ky Kiske- While Ky has been consistently voiced by Takeshi Kusao for the entire series' run in Japanese, he has been given a different voice actor for every dubbed game for both the English and Korean versions. This means that Ky has had seven official voice actors in total, making him among the highest of the cast alongside Testament

May- May is one of only a few characters in the series to have a tattoo, and only one of two where it is not implied or indicated to be magical in some way, alongside Potemkin's barcode

Potemkin- Several of Potemkin's moves across games reference Hinduism. Strive's 'Garuda Impact' is named after a birdlike demigod that acts as a mount for Vishnu, while Xrd SIGN's 'Trishula' is named for a divine trident-like weapon wielded by the god Shiva

Chipp Zanuff- According to prototype and side materials, Chipp is 22 years old as of Missing Link.

Faust- Possibly to go along with his nature of being a doctor with the desire to treat anyone he comes across, Faust's blood type is O, the universal donor

Axl Low- Axl claims the specific date he desired to return to was May 14, 1998. This is the same date that Missing Link was released in Japan

Millia Rage- According to her Xrd SIGN story mode, Millia's favorite flower is the Easter Lily

Zato-1- Based on his abduction dialogue in Strive, Zato believes in aliens

Kliff Undersn- Despite being removed from the Wii version of XX Accent Core, along with Justice, both their names and endings remain in the game's code. They also both contain original art that had never been used up to that point

Testament- The twin demons that Testament summons in Strive are the same singular familiar they possessed in prior games, simply named ‘Succubus,’ possibly split into two entities similarly to Ramlethal's familiar Lucifero

Justice- In Missing Link, Justice was voiced by Arc System employee Takuya Morito, who also voiced Chipp

Baiken- Baiken was initially a difficult character to include in the series, as due to being an amputee, it brought up issues with compliance standards at the time

X

Anji Mito- one of his aliases, Hirasawa, was actually planned to be his name during the start of X's development

Venom- During the winpose where he spins his cue, it is able to interact with any remaining balls that are still set up nearby

Johnny- Johnny is implied to have a close history with Gig, the main antagonist of the DS spinoff game Guilty Gear Dust Strikers

Jam Kuradoberi- In Blazblue, Litchi Faye-Ling's theme 'Oriental Flower' is a remix of her X theme, 'Babel Nose'

Dizzy- In the Guilty Gear XX Burst Encyclopedia, full-bodied sketch concepts exist for her wing entities, Necro and Undine. It is unknown currently if the designs were ever meant to be implemented into the game or if they were simply unused concepts

Bridget- Bridget’s usage of a yo-yo as a weapon was inspired by a world-class yo-yoer that Daisuke Ishiwatari knew during the development of XX

Slayer- In SIGN, Slayer is shown to be able to control his limbs even after being severed

Zappa- In his Accent Core character art, Zappa is drawn with six fingers on his right hand. This has never appeared before or since, and is likely just an error. However, in some circles, six fingered-hands are viewed as spiritually significant

I-no- Her main guitar weapon, 'Marlene,' closely resembles the real-life Starplayer TV model manufactured by German company Duesenberg. One of her design inspirations, Sheena Ringo, owned a similar guitar, which she referred to as 'Dietrich.' Collectively, both may be a reference to German actress Marlene Dietrich

Robo-Ky- In #Reload, Robo-Ky is unique in that he has two separate standard match themes, with a day version and a night version depending on what round is occurring

Overture

Sin Kiske- In all of his playable appearances, Sin has never been depicted wearing socks

Izuna- Despite often being assumed to be a kitsune due to his foxlike ears, it is implied through his story in the Overture Original Material Collection that Izuna is actually a tsukumogami made from a hairpin

Dr. Paradigm- Prior to Strive bringing back several actors from SIGN, Paradigm was the only character to have a consistent dub voice, retaining the same actor in SIGN that he did in Overture

Raven- The portraits used for his non-playable appearance in XX are traced from the illustrations used in the side novel Lightning the Argent

Xrd

Bedman- He shares his voice actor with the character Marth from the Fire Emblem series in both his original Japanese and English dub voices, Hikaru Midorikawa and Yuri Lowenthal respectively

Ramlethal Valentine- Ramlethal is the only Xrd Valentine to not be associated with a holiday

Elphelt Valentine- Elphelt is the only playable female character depicted wearing earrings. There are more playable men in Guilty Gear that wear them than women.

Leo Whitefang- The PS3 console version of Xrd SIGN contains unused prototype art for an alternative version of Leo's character portrait

Jack-O Valentine- Similarly to Elphelt and Ramlethal, Jack-O is mechanically unusual as a character, in her case due to her servant-summoning mechanic. It is often believed that this is a reference to the tower-defense style gameplay of Overture, where the original Valentine appeared.

Kum Haehyun- Haehyun only speaks with her own voice during her outro animation. All of her other dialogue is spoken through her mech

Answer- Possibly as a way of properly proportioning the third lens of his glasses, Answer's model contains a second nose above the first. This was left in place and simply made invisible rather than be removed in the final version

STRIVE

Nagoriyuki- Though he was teased in the very first trailer for Guilty Gear Strive at EVO 2019, he remained unnamed for almost a year until his official trailer was released along with Leo’s in July 2020

Giovanna- Despite it being her debut game, across the entire script of Strive's story mode, Giovanna only has 22 lines of spoken dialogue, totaling 157 words overall. For reference, Sol speaks more than that during his first 10 lines

Goldlewis Dickinson- Along with Bridget, Delilah, and the Valentines, Goldlewis is one of the few characters who canonically has a sibling

Happy Chaos- In Baiken's Strive DLC trailer, an error occurs near the beginning where during a brief pan along the character's name, a trait consistent along all of the Seaon 1 DLC trailers, it erroneously reads as 'Happy Chaos' rather than 'Baiken.' It is unknown how this mistake occurred or made it to the final version, though it was fixed by the next installment, as Testament's trailer lacks this error

Delilah- Her English voice actor, Jessica DiCicco, voiced another adolescent telekinetic, Franke Athens, in the cult classic game Psychonauts

That Man- With his full name being given as Asuka R. Kreutz, he is one of only two characters to be given a middle initial, alongside Bedman

This is an illustration I started with a theme in mind. I have always been and still am not good at this kind of cut-and-paste composition. Still, to keep myself motivated, I took I-No's breasts to the most extreme level of precariousness. I wanted to make I-No in the front less three-dimensional than the two in the back, but she ended up standing out too much.

Annon-Guy: Should Guilty Gear StrIVe actually incorporate alternative costumes for the cast like GranBlue Fantasy Versus Rising did for Gran, Djeeta, Narmaya and Zeta, what would you pick for the current roster?

To start off easy, let's use the Missing Link Cast as an example.

Sol: Either Order-Sol or Overture Sol.

Ky: X Series Ky or Overture Ky.

May: X Series May or Xrd May.

Millia: Missing Link Millia or Xrd Millia.

Zato: Classic Zato or an Eddie Skin (probably more Zombie looking like decaying skin and damaged clothing).

Chipp: X Series Chipp or Xrd Chipp.

Potemkin: X Series Potemkin.

Faust: Xrd Faust or Faust wearing Baldhead's old costume while keeping the Paper Bag mask.

Axl Low: Missing Link Axl or X Series Axl.

Baiken: X Series Baiken

Testament: X Series Testament, but more androgynous looking instead of the masculine look they had originally.

There's been a ton of requests on this front from fans to ARC System Works, but the largest portion that makes it difficult is that it's expensive to produce.

Different outfits also don't always talk alternate colors in to consideration as well depending on the game.

Games like Granblue and Soul Calibur are built with alternate outfits in mind, but still, it takes a lot of work.

Even so, fan-made mod skins have been created in some communities, so for Strive in particular at least, things are progressing in that direction.

The broadest answer I can give is "they'll do what they can do".

Well. It's 12:30 might make a post that's been simmering in my head for.... a hot minute

FFXIV x Guilty Gear AU, anyone? :3c

Currently I don't know how to plot this as its me just kicking my feet and giggling making designs for characters and fitting them into the world OK! Let us start with our party (Might not even be in the Seventh Astral/Umbral era!!)

I dont have much ANY tangible sketches for Sol but he's going to be a Xaela subspecies Au'Ra (Draconic features and that hourglass shape? Very Sol.) adventurer, who wields a Gunblade (making him a Gunbreaker!) He's not too far off Guilty Gear canon, most likely to be protagonist since references to the sun hahahah :) (Maybe Order Sol having the role that Ardbert had??!?!?!!?!?!)

Ky is an Ishgardian Elezen for sure, it just, works. And he fits being a Red Mage SOOOOO much (Lightning magic, cool sword/rapier and the acrobatics) The design below isn't set in stone it's just a maybe place holder, looks nice tho!!

Justice/Aria is also here. She is girlbossing so hard, I think she'll swap to Sage or maybe stay as a Paladin after her whole Justice alias is known since she can do that. Raen Au'Ra this time, so cool. I think Asuka might do his gay magic and muck up Arias memories (or not) Also design below woooo!!!

Axl, I am pushing the cat boy Axl agenda making him a Mi'qote, Seeker of the Sun since of course he is. BUT. He's a Reaper!!! His Voidsent is named Megumi hehehehe (Im so mean and cruel to him sorry Axl :() Also I-No is there too, she is a Miqo as well, but a Bard (They have the guitar from that one crossover, I think) look at how bad I am at drawing witch hats haha

Dizzy!! She's a mix between a Xaela and Raen Au'Ra!! Ponytail for the hair this time, she looks nice in a ponytail :) She fits being a SCH so, she be Scholaring woohoo!! The clothing is so badly drawn and just a place holder but you get the gist

This. This Venom design is so slay, he's a Viera AND a Dragoon, how homosexual of him!! I think the Assassin's guild would be up in Ishgard since maybe Slayer is Ishgardian, I don't know!! But look at this design, I'm so proud of my creativity (Should Robo-Ky be a dragon? Hmm....)

Asuka. Hyur, Midlander (since he's mid, KIDDING!!) Though, I might make him a Mi'qote later if I feel like it. He is a Summoner, he be summoning. That's it, it's an Asuka.

Raven :) there is no bird races in FFXIV. A pity. So, he's a Padjal, their cool and live for a while and I have a few Vieras already so ja. Black Mage since he is EVIL not really, just is good as magic and big ol robes, so swag.

Zato. Probably just going to make him a Hyur (Maybe Garlean???) since he is boring (affectionate) and he is a Dark Knight!!! I already have like two Reapers so yeah. Also big chunky armour, finally he isn't slutty lol.

Sol watches Akira while drinking whiteclaw, leaning back into his lawn chair and thinking “Yeah. Now this is some good Animes.”

Ky does not watch anime, he believes japanimation to be too violent and that it teaches bad morals.

May watches Precure and One Piece together with Johnny. They still haven’t found the One Piece in the year 2187.

Zato tries to watch Mature and Sophisticated Seinen Anime, but whenever he turns on anything Eddie starts screaming the Dragon Ball GT theme song and demands they put that on instead.

Millia’s knowledge of anime comes entirely what she overhears coming from Zato and Eddie. She doesn’t know what a Dragon Ball GT is but she is sick of hearing about the grand tour.

Chipp watches Naruto and has put much effort into canonizing Naruto as a catholic saint

Axl watches Isekai anime because he can relate to it. He’s the only person that gets a pass for watching Isekai anime.

Potemkin doesn’t have any particular favorite show, he watches a lot of clips online to study the animation thought.

Faust watches Cells at Work together with some of his patients to teach them how their body works. He has written them a request to make an episode about what happens when you have ghosts in your blood, so he has something to show to Zappa.

Testament watches Soul Eater and Tokyo Ghoul. He is still mad about how the second one was adapted to this day.

Kliff watches Legend of the Galactic Hero because he somehow has to outboomer Sol in his anime tastes

Baiken watches Anji make a fool of himself in public

Anji watches RWBY and argues with people online if it counts as anime or not. He also starts“X could beat Goku” arguments for fun.

Venom was convinced by Robo-Ky to watch Food Wars with him. He agreed, thinking it could teach him how to become a better baker. He has been working on a bread good enough to make your shirt explode for three weeks without sleeping now

Jam watches whatever that Beef Stroganoff anime is

Dizzy watches wholesome slice of life anime where nothing bad happens. She’s managed to convince Ky to watch exactly one anime and it was Saint Young Men.

I-no watches nothing but h*ntai

Slayer watches Hellsing together with Sharon. He considers it a very romantic series.

Robo-Ky watches flavor of the month anime and rates it entirely based on how many boobs he got to see

Raven watches The Junji Ito Collection for horny reasons

Zappa tries to enjoy Mob Psycho 100, but unfortunately he has never managed to watch more than four minutes of an episode before S-ko puts on The Grudge

Elphelt and Johnny both watch harem anime because they’re both desperate like that.

Ram does not know what anime is, she just watches cute puppy compilations on the internet

Answer watched the Phoenix Wright anime and tried to misuse the Eastern Chipp Kingdoms tax money to get an anime adaptation of Spirits of Justice going

Bedman watched Death Note and has a lot of Opinions on any given anime series currently running. He’s ready to tell you why your favorite anime is shit at the slightest (or none at all) provocation

oh yeah totally. filia’s a walking millia reference and has both xrd and x era recolors. im mostly just surprised fighting game junkies whove dug throught he games files and gotten the sprites through legitimate or illegitimate means havent brought it up anywhere ive seen cause id think they would lose their minds over it cause holy shit even more gg refs

Besides El X Millia, what are some of you favorite wlw ships in Guilty Gear?

Thanks for the ask! I’m bummed that there’s so few options available, since May and Haehyun’s exact ages are confusing so shipping them feels weird, Dizzy’s already married, and it doesn’t really feel like any of the women actually interact with one another, aside from, like, I-no, who everyone hates, so it’s hard to get a good idea of how they’d feel about one another.

But! I am nothing if not stubborn, and I still have stuff I think would work or just like a lot. Milphelt is definitely the top, but I’ve got a couple others. I-no/Jack-O is a lot of fun and really sweet, and it sorta fits into the same vein with the ‘angsty world-weary woman falls in love with a sunshiny cinnamon roll whom she would happily kill a man for.’ A.B.A./Fanny is something that started as a joke but I ended up liking since they both seem like dorks, and I guess A.B.A./Baiken wouldn’t count since I headcanon/sorta-canon Baiken as a she/her nonbinary but if you want to get pedantic an argument could be made either way.
