Jeanette Bertha Harris (born March 9, 1979) in Fresno, California to Floyd and Annette Harris. She was introduced to Latin Jazz while attending Roosevelt High School where she played the lead alto in the school’s Latin Jazz Band. The Iron Giant is a 1999 American animated science fiction film produced by Warner Bros. Feature Animation and directed by Brad Bird in his directorial debut. It is based on the 1968 novel The Iron Man by Ted Hughes (which was published in the United States as The Iron Giant) and was written by Tim McCanlies from a story treatment by Bird. The film stars the voices of Jennifer Aniston, Harry Connick Jr., Vin Diesel, James Gammon, Cloris Leachman, John Mahoney, Eli Marienthal, Christopher McDonald, and M. Emmet Walsh. Set during the Cold War in 1957, the film centers on a young boy named Hogarth Hughes, who discovers and befriends a giant alien robot. With the help of a beatnik artist named Dean McCoppin, Hogarth attempts to prevent the U.S. military and Kent Mansley, a paranoid federal agent, from finding and destroying the Giant.
Monster House is a 2006 American computer-animated haunted house film directed by Gil Kenan in his directorial debut and written by Dan Harmon, Rob Schrab and Pamela Pettler, about a neighborhood being terrorized by a sentient haunted house during Halloween. The film features the voices of Mitchel Musso, Sam Lerner, Spencer Locke, Steve Buscemi, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kevin James, Nick Cannon, Jason Lee, Fred Willard, Jon Heder, Catherine O'Hara, and Kathleen Turner, as well as human characters being animated using live action motion capture animation, which was previously used in The Polar Express (2004). It was Sony's first computer animated film produced by Sony Pictures Imageworks.

This 16mm film has been lost for 50 years, a piece of history which no one knew existed. The film is 15 minutes in length and acts as both an introduction and a sample from the controversial John Herbert play Fortune and Men's Eyes, performed at the Coronet Theater in L.A. in 1969. The play was being directed by Sal Mineo, who also rewrote and reshaped the play a bit. Sal Mineo discovered and mentored actor Don Johnson in the part of Smitty, who had recently been seen in the San Francisco production of Your Own Thing.
Cast in Play:
Don Johnson as Smitty
Michael Greer as Queenie
Sal Mineo as Rocky
Gary Tigerman as Mona
Tom Reese as The Guard
Theatre Beat with Hal Marienthal premiered on Channel 28 on March 20th, 1969. According to The Los Angeles Times: Theatre Beat (30 min) Sal Mineo, director of "Fortune and Men's Eyes" by John Herbert, is Hal Marienthal's guest as scenes from the play are performed. The play is currently at the Coronet Theatre and is Mineo's first stage directing. The sourced footage was initially shot on Kinescope at The Coronet Theater in Los Angeles, 1969. This 16mm film was transferred by Daniel Kremer through Movette in San Francisco Owned, Archived and Presented by Jarrod LaBine.

Excerpt from this story from the Associated Press (AP):
German Chancellor Angela Merkel surveyed what she called a “surreal, ghostly” scene in a devastated village on Sunday, pledging quick financial aid and a redoubled political focus on curbing climate change as the death toll from floods in Western Europe climbed above 180.
Merkel toured Schuld, a village on a tight curve of the Ahr River in western Germany where many buildings were damaged or destroyed by rapidly rising floodwaters Wednesday night.
Although the mayor of Schuld said no one was killed or injured there, many other places weren’t so lucky. The death toll in the Ahrweiler area, where Schuld is located, stood at 112. Authorities said people are still missing and they fear the toll may still rise.
Climate scientists say the link between extreme weather and global warming is unmistakable and the urgency to tackle climate change undeniable.
Scientists can’t yet say for sure whether climate change caused the flooding, but they insist that it certainly exacerbates the extreme weather disasters on display around the world.
“We must get faster in the battle against climate change,” Merkel said, pointing to policies already set in motion by Germany and the European Union to cut greenhouse gas emissions. “And nevertheless, the second lesson is that we must pay great attention to adaptation” to climate change.
Investing in fighting climate change is expensive, she said, but failing to do so is even more costly.

Could you help me with finding two younger brothers of Jon Bernthal? One of them is only a few years and the other is up to ten years younger. Thank you!
hey there, dear – of course I can. both of Jon Bernthal’s parents are Ashkenazi Jewish which may sound daunting at first but thankfully, there are many that proudly represent! in regards to choices that are a few years younger, we have:
Erich Bergen (1985)
Adam Brody (1979)
Matt Cohen (1982)
Yani Gellman (1985)
Joseph Gordon-Levitt (1981)
Alex Kaluzhsky (1984)
Julian Morris (1983)
James Wolk (1985)
and as far as up to ten years younger goes, I exercised a bit of age flexibility since most people allow casting up to six years younger than the mark, so that gives us:
Skylar Astin (1987)
Michael Doneger (1986)
Trevor Einhorn (1988)
David Garelik (1991)
Logan Lerman (1992)
Eli Marienthal (1986)
Josh Peck (1986)
hope these helped! let me know if you need more assistance and, as always, my mutuals are free to pitch in additional suggestions in the replies~

1.2.2 Revolutionary?
“The apathy and despondency chronicled by the Marienthal authors found its theoretical opposite in the social movement concept of “relative deprivation.” First popularized by British historical sociologist Walter G. Runciman in the 1950s, relative deprivation theory (RDT) holds that people might be motivated to organize and protest if deprived of something to which they believe they are entitled.130 More recently, Burt Klandermans has called on social movement scholars (and activists) to pay closer attention to how emotions motivate protests. If organizers can convince the unemployed that they might have something to gain from protesting, they may embrace the “approach-oriented” emotion of anger. Indignation, as “the most political of feelings,” is a “group-based anger [which] reinforces protest participation.”131 Relative deprivation and indignation have underpinned leftist discourse from Marx to Occupy.
In a RDT parable, Marx describes how in a neighbourhood composed of houses all of the same size each house “satisfies all social requirement for a residence” but if a “palace” was built beside a row of little houses, those living in the smaller domiciles will always find themselves “more uncomfortable, more dissatisfied, more cramped within [their] four walls.”132 But many socialists, including Marx, have gone far further than relative deprivation to contend that those who live in a small, crowded house do not need to see a palace outside of their window to feel aggrieved. Jealousy of the fully employed would not motivate the unemployed to organize, the left has argued. Rather, their shared suffering would bind the oppressed, working and workless, into revolutionary action against their capitalist oppressors. Thus, beyond the theories of the lumpen, another equally powerful socialist discourse claimed that indignation could trump apathy and revolt was at least as likely as reaction amongst the workless. An indignant unemployed has been a persistent undercurrent in socialist discourse.133 A more nuanced reading of Marx suggests that the unemployed were inseparable from the revolutionary agency of the proletariat. As Marx proclaimed,
as soon as workers try to organize planned co-operation between the employed and the unemployed in order to obviate or to weaken the ruinous effects of this natural law of capitalist production on their class, so soon does capital and its sycophant, political economy cry out at the infringement of the ‘eternal’ and so to speak ‘sacred’ law of supply and demand. Every combination between employed and unemployed disturbs the ‘pure’ action of this law.134
If lumpenproletarians were susceptible to the charms of Bonapartism, Marx also believed they, like the proletariat, would eventually realize that their “chief’s” promises were not in their best interest.135 At that time, “the proletarian revolution will obtain that chorus without which its solo song becomes a swan-song in all peasant countries.”136 As the conservative interests of the lumpen were corroded, they would “find their natural ally and leader in the urban proletariat, whose task is the overthrow of the bourgeois order.”137 A united front of the lumpen, peasantry and proletariat would play a positive role in the pursuit of socialism.138 Even more optimistic about the lumpen’s revolutionary potential was Marx’s great anarchist adversary, Michael Bakunin. Dubbed the “lumpen prince” by Engels, Bakunin was a fierce critic of Marx’s disparagement of the lumpenproletariat. He argued that “hopelessness” helped forge a socialist consciousness.139 Bakunin, arrested for his participation on the front lines of the Austrian revolution in 1848, believed in
the ‘riffraff,’ that ‘rabble’ almost unpolluted by bourgeois civilization, which carries in its inner being and in its aspirations, in all the necessities and miseries of its collective life, all the seeds of the socialism of the future, and which alone is powerful enough today to inaugurate and bring to triumph the Social Revolution.140
Skeptical of any theory that limits revolutionary agency to a single class, Bakunin stressed that socialist consciousness forms by the experience of witnessing and recording capitalist exploitation and struggling to think and act one’s way out of it regardless of one’s position in the liberal order. If the bourgeoisie and the lesser nobility could “root out the last vestiges of subjective loyalty to the bourgeois world . . . [they] could render priceless services to the revolutionary movement,” Bakunin remarked. He held much more hope for the uneducated, impoverished and spontaneous proletariat than for the well-fed.141
“Marx speaks disdainfully, but quite unjustly of this Lumpenproletariat,” argued Bakunin, yet their very “despair” is “capable of rousing men from their semiconscious resignation.” All that was needed was a “universal ideal,” a unified sense of their strength and exploitation.142 Wary that Marxism sought to replace the bourgeoisie with a “fourth governing class” of elite labourers, the anarchist theorist believed the lumpen could ward off a self-interested, paternalistic state.143 Yet, as Mark Leier’s superb biography on Bakunin suggests, the anarchist and his adversary had much in common; both Marx and Bakunin would denounce the “aristocracy of labour,” insist that the experiences of the downtrodden were the basis for the socialist movement, and emphasize that “ignorance did not cause poverty: poverty caused ignorance.”144 Bakunin’s theory does not refute Marx’s analysis. It simply reasserts that the underclass is as capable of revolutionary deeds as reactionary ones.”

130 Until the 1970s RDT was the “dominant grievance theory in social psychology,” until it lost favour as scholars argued that availability of resources and political opportunity were better able to explain why some people protested and others did not. Hal Draper, “The Concept of the ‘Lumpenproletariat,’ in Marx and Engels,” Economies et Sociétés 6:12 (1972), 2285-2312. 134 Marx, Capital, 794.
135 In his earlier writings Marx believed in the revolutionary potential of the lumpen: “‘The real people, the proletarians, the small peasants and the rabble are, as Hobbes said, puer robustus sed malitiosus [robust but malicious] and are not taken in by kings, whether they be fat or thin . . . This people would above all extract from His Majesty a constitution with universal suffrage, freedom of association, freedom of the press and other unpleasant things.” See McLellan, Karl Marx, 174.

138 Stallybrass also suggests that Marx’s notion of the lumpenproletariat should be seen less as a “specific social group” than a “political process.” In this way, Marx uses the lumpen to rethink the hierarchical order of economic base, ideology and the state, in recognition of the way the state “mystifies the relations” of class and empties the political “of its social content.” See Stallybrass, “Marx and Heterogeneity,” 69-70.
