Bueno, en realidad, era una parodia de una película de gauchos yanqui. Y Walt Disney es muy conocido por su fascinación por Argentina y Latinoamérica (desde su punto de vista yanqui, obviamente), con muchos clásicos de Disney de su era en Argentina, pero muchísimos. O sea, no me puedo poner a hablar de la conexión de Walt Disney con Argentina por que realmente merece toda una investigación de lo profunda que es.

Después está la teoría de que en realidad Walt Disney se basó en la animación de Quirino Cristiani, el primer animador de largometrajes del mundo y ARGENTINO, pero su famoso film "El Apóstol" se perdió en la historia, y luego sus estudios se incendiaron misteriosamente. Hmm.

En fin. Miguel Rata, el gaucho más inesperado.

Sooo I decided on a whim that I was gonna do Inktober! Week 1 under the cut

Day 1: Dream

Based on a dream I had about a mouse that could draw better than me, and then turned into a little girl. She was being hunted so I ran away with her into the woods. Also for some reason I was a teenage anime boy and half of the dream was in an anime style instead of live action? Idk.

Day 2: Spiders

Wanted to try out some different nose shapes and i’m SO happy bc she’s SO pretty. Anyway. POV: you just walked in on her. Leave her and her tarantulas alone!

Day 3: Path

For this one I used water based marker and went over the ink with a wet brush to make faux watercolor.

Day 4: Dodge

This one fought me the whole way. I was not feeling the prompt and had to force myself to draw it. It looks fine i guess but it was not made with love.

Day 5: Map

This one was ABSOLUTELY made with love! It’s Maps Mizoguchi with one of her maps! I love her so much! Didn’t feel like drawing a convincing map. She’d be disappointed i me for making a bs one, so I just made it super cartoony? Idk. She’s the important part. Every time I draw her my friend asks “is that the new Lois Lane from that superman show?” Including a drawing where I had LITERALLY written her name next to her head—

Day 6: Golden

Ok photographing colored pictures is a lot harder. Lots of editing to make the colors how they are irl. I guess using acrylic paint pens is kinda cheating? But I made the ink drawing on top of it lol.

Day 7: Drip

Cass here with ALLL the drip!! Again I am pushing my chubby Cass agenda.

I don’t have it in me to post daily, but i can either make group posts like this each week or each week release seven posts at once. Not sure which is best. Yes I have today’s done but i’m saving it for next week.

Hanah: I mean... if you wanted to, you could totally just 'poof' one in, can't you?

Mia: *sigh* yes, I can. But it's the principle of the thing. 'Poofing' things in destroys the integrity of the world. It's like... when you're lucid dreaming and try to push what you want too hard and it kinda dissolves.

Erika: Are you saying this world is like a dream to you?

Mia: ...don't worry about it.

Paolo: I will very much worry about it...

Mia: point is, yes I could use my powers to do crazy and irresponsibile things, but choosing to operate according to the laws of this world - such as purchasing items with a modest budget from a physical store and *then* having you guys send it- keeps things balanced and stable.

Danny: So.... do I smash the ask or...

Mia: ...no. it has slight comedic potential and can be used to illustrate a point. I can use this.

Oscar: "And So, the Director made a post about the limits of her own powers as a cautionary tale to other askers" how's that?
