It’s honestly so upsetting to see that the majority of people just don’t understand that Tomura doesn’t actually get enjoyment from killing people.
Tomura has literally felt so sick to his stomach that he has thrown up when he has killed people before.
The difference between all of the times Tomura has felt physically ill from killing people and all of the times that Tomura has gotten “enjoyment” from it (Tomura doesn’t feel enjoyment, he feels relief.) is that each time the person he killed had hurt him first.
Killing the people that hurt him is just genuinely the only thing that Tomura can think of to get them to finally stop so that they won’t hurt him anymore.
Tenko had originally reached out to his father for help, only for him to be struck by him with a gardening tool… and only then Tenko killed (with purpose) his father to stop him from hurting him again:
Tomura only wanted to kill the two drunk men after they had hurt him for literally just walking down the street:
Tomura wanting to kill the heroes that had hurt him (with the intention of killing him):
Tomura still doesn’t get enjoyment from killing people who hurt him, but he does experience relief from it…
((Edit: I would just like to clarify that the relief that Tomura feels from killing people that hurt him comes from knowing that they can’t hurt him anymore (relief that he is safe, even if temporarily) It does not come from him getting rid of the “itch” that he experiences (it always comes back, even after killing), like AFO groomed him into believing. I saw someone add that in the tags, and I realized that I never fully explained my thoughts on it. LOL.))
Not to mention, Tomura was literally GROOMED by All For One (which is something that people just like to ignore for some reason…) to even have this desire to kill people in the first place.
And even then Tomura doesn’t have the desire to kill people in the way that AFO wants!
His want for destruction stems from his inherent empathy for others, and his inability to understand how people are able to ignore the suffering of others. Not what All For One has groomed him into believing. (That Tomura’s want for destruction is an impulse that’s something inherent to him.)
Tomura has continued to have empathy for others despite AFO’s grooming, and has showed genuine kindness to the league on many occasions…
All of this is such an important aspect of Tomura’s character and being able to actually understand him, and it’s so disheartening constantly seeing people completely overlook this part of him.

So I’ve decided that after Dabihawks week finishes, unless I have a drastic change of heart, I’ll put my mha Twitter on hiatus and log off and not touch it for a month or two, to see if I’m better off without it, which tbh I highly suspect I am?
I’ve been pretty dissapointed with the Twitter only mutuals lately, partaking in stupid ship drama and just ugh, at this point I only have like 1 Twitter mutual that I still really enjoy talking to I don’t also have interactions with here so like, why bother??
But yeah, I wanna stay so I can parttake in dabihawks week and see all the content on there; but after that I might just be done with mhatwt for a while.

My sibling, who is an anime only said they would not be surprised if BKDK became canon considering the depth of their relationship, their interactions, and their character development regarding each other ... despite how Bones added in Izuocha scenes and cut out some critical BKDK moments in most of the seasons so far... And, seeing how one-sided the "love" is between Izuocha, which I believe is deep admiration as of reading the manga- I have to say I agree.
Izuocha, is fine on the surface but is unhealthy. Izuku would not pay attention to Ochaco they he would need to if they were in a relationship. And Ochaco only saw "Hero Deku" rather than all of "Izuku", which would cause her to unknowingly encourage Izuku's reckless self-sacrificial behavior.
BKDK is different because not only they know each other beyond the surface level, but they also have their sights on each other and the mere presence of their partner inspires them to become better and stronger people at heart because they have genuine love for each other...
I honestly do not understand what is in the Dudebros' mind other the fact that they are lacking emotional intelligence and critical thinking... but I will just enjoy what they are missing. (Sorry for rambling...)
Hi anon! Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you (reason in tags). Let me just reply to your ramblings with some ramblings of my own :)
I actually really enjoyed Season 6. The only thing I faulted Bones for, was creating that jarring opening that made out like Ochaco was the hero of the retrieve vigilante Deku mission (which sadly only fueled izuochas more on mhatwt), when it was 1000% Katsuki's doing and there is one panel which proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt.
See this? Who is the one standing in front of Shoto and Tokoyami, addressing the whole class? It's Katsuki! Not Ochaco! She was seated with everyone else. This is why it's so frustrating when they say she was the reason Izuku was brought back to U.A. That arc was all about Katsuki's feelings for Izuku and wanting to return his smile.
He was even so worried he lost sleep over it, wondering where Izuku was, if he was okay… he must have stayed awake in bed, thinking and thinking about Izuku and how he could get him back. Katsuki was used to Izuku being by his side, and it was the first time Izuku had willingly left it. It provided him clarity about how important* Izuku was in his life, which only made him worry even more. (*see also: crucial, vital, imperative, watch me emotionally die slowly inside if you aren't around me anymore.)
Katsuki losing sleep, at a time Izuku was not sleeping was such a symbiotic soul mates power move Hori added in for flavour. I love it SOOO freaking much. There are no lengths this man won't go, to prove how in sync they are with each other, how much they need each other, the empathy they share with each other, even on a completely spiritual level where they share in each other's sufferings, *without even knowing it* such as right here, just like Katsuki wants to share all of Izuku's burdens so that he's not crushed by them.
But with that said, though Bones really dropped the ball on the opening (and 5 previous seasons...*ahem*), there were a lot of curious changes that happened in season 6 that I did love, like Izuku dropping the "tachi" in his sentence which turned his line into "He hurt the person I love…" (instead of people)
and as we saw more of these additional changes Bones made, it got us wondering, did Hori have some regrets with the manga that he was unhappy about and wanted their romance to be more obvious? Was it only natural to get anime viewers up to speed before season 7, because they were going to find out through manga spoilers that Katsuki and Izuku are actually in love? I'd like to think so.
Changes I remember off the top of my head:
Reaching out for little Izuku's hand during Katsuki Bakugou Rising
Katsuki waking up and thinking "Deku…" and remembering his Rising sacrifice and being still hurt from it.
Izuku waiting until he was in Katsuki's arms before he apologised, which made their words of "I'm sorry" and "I know" more intimate and personal to each other. Like Izuku needed Katsuki's forgiveness the most, and Katsuki needed to let Izuku feel that he understands him the most.
Izuku's little "Ka-..." (the English dub did not catch it but I know other dubs did) as he was passing out, which made the entire hug scene feel so much more romantic.
"I'm gonna say your name when I wake up" vs "I'm gonna say your name when I fall asleep." BkDk: Always on each other's minds. All the time.
And one of the most interesting changes of all…
So get this, Ochaco gets a hand hold grab in the opening which canon-wise holds about as much weight as an "illustration" … and in the actual anime content, she grabs his wrist area instead of his hand like in the manga. Making her hand hold IN THE CANON CONTENT so impersonal. Almost as if to make up for the horrible opening they made. Why this was done still remains a mystery to us today… but I hope it's because Horikoshi asked them to make Izuocha stop being seen like a couple, and more like the friends they are.
And then, about the "brothers" "friends" comments antis love to make about bkdk. Well yeah, they're coping. In fact, Hori has shied away from labeling them friends several times when he could have! "Midoriya-kun is our friend" says Iida - with multiple people from the class, including Ochaco, presented in the panel… and Katsuki is nowhere to be found.
Or like when sAFO called Katsuki "Izuku's closest person" (motto mo naka ga ii) where it would have been WAY more natural to call him "shinyu," aka, "best friend." But that's the thing, Hori runs away from calling them friends like it's the plague LMAO
Really makes you wonder… was sAFO (I'd rather just call it AFO at this point because it's his personality being dominant vs Katsuki) alluding to hidden romantic feelings Izuku hides for Katsuki that his secret gaydar quirk picked up? Could be. In a way, at the time it happened, it felt to me like Horikoshi himself was talking to us through him, telling us very explicitly, "You're damn right. They're gay."
Either way, skirting around this label for them is being done on purpose by Hori. Like his hidden way of saying "Yeah they might be acting a bit more like the best friends they were always meant to be as kids, but their feelings for each other are not 'friendly' AT ALL. Because platonic friendship is not where these two are headed." And there are STILL hidden feelings they haven't managed to say to each other yet! The content Horikoshi has been itching to draw for YEARS that he is finally getting to. All that soft bkdk romance we've been waiting for is coming SO SOON!!! and I am HERE for it anon! 🔥
2023 will forever be known as the year of BkDk canon... these are very exciting times. <3

I heard that dekacchan is being blasted on twitter? God! I wish more mhatwt, bkdks or non bkdks reunite and realize that what dekkachan did was not just defending bkdk ship, but also ship hate and character bashing. And believe me, even I am also a bkdk shipper but their annoying long threads are very delusional and it makes me sick that I had to unfollow and block them. They're also in the same discord with me and it's always cringe to see their post about why bkdk is canon or else it's a bad series

Look, I get that women in Shonan haven’t had the best runs and I get what she’s trying to say: Shonan women have primarily been used as love interests and/or eye candy for the male characters/audience. Is she right? I dunno. However, calling women baby factories for wanting to have kids (something these characters wanted, how well they’re written be damned)? That’s just sexist 😭. Women can choose to have kids and settle down without being reduced to being “baby factories”. Same way a woman can choose to be single, adventurous, and child-free without being reduced to her relationship status. As long as they’re not hurting anyone and are happy/healthy, what someone does with their life shouldn’t be judged.
When called out, her minions are still defending her, saying that context matters. Here’s the thread she was replying to:
Dude was calling out BkDk Stans. You can argue that “who are not gay” wasn’t necessary and I agree but pointing out a character’s sexuality is nowhere near as bad as calling women baby factories just cause said woman decided to settle down after a long adventure.
This whole situation was so funny cause then M!preg was brought into the mix, people claiming that Izuku is often reduced to a housewife in these AUs, which is true. Yet her followers come out with this:
Like the mental gymnastics here are crazy 😂. No one was even talking about whether LGBTQ+ relationships are being pushed. They were talking about Izuku being turned into what Dekkachann describes and her supporting such a thing, which is hypocritical af.
My favorite thing tho is that Dekacchann is a huge hypocrite. She says this yet actively encourages harassment and plays victim when called out.
This is a woman who is 26 btw acting like a 14 year old discovering shipping for the first time. Lady, it ain’t that serious 😭. It’s a ship involving kids. Like wtf? Like I know I bash and make memes about BkDk but those only take me like five seconds out of my day to make and I’m only active on Tumblr when I ain’t doing shit. Sometimes I’m on this blog while I’m shitting. This woman’s life revolves around this ship to the point where it’s become a legitimate obsession and seems to influence her life.
I don’t care where you lie on the BkDk scale. Love it, hate it, it don’t matter. I’m a “you do you, I’ll do me, and unless you bother me, I ain’t gonna bother you” kinda person. What really matters is that this woman is a toxic person on the internet and that BkDk antis and fans should recognize this. Thankfully it seems anyone who’s not in her hivemind is doing so. You know someone is toxic when even members of their own community hate her 😂.
Also, do not go and harass her. I do not condone that shit, even with someone as problematic as her. What I’m saying to recognize that she’s toxic and if she starts harassing people, to either call her out on it or report her.

Hi, I wanna say I am glad to find your account here. I spend most of my MHA fandom experience in twitter and am a BKDK shipper (actually, I am more a dekubowl coz I basically want everyone to love Izuku Midoriya and BKDK just happens to be the most popular ship). I used to like bakugo so much mostly because of his development in the story and how cool he is that I used to have a beef with bakugo antis and anti bkdk until I started to notice that most DKBK fans (it's a different dynamic from BKDK) started to become delusional/too biased with their MHA theories. DKBKs who ship Deku with Bakugo actually only use Deku as a tool to shower their loves and affections for Bakugo, they don't care with Deku and just keep saying like … "Deku loves Bakugo -- he will burn the world for Bakugo, Bakugo bullied him but Deku doesn't hate him and blah blah blah," as if Deku is a worthless character that doesn't deserve to be loved back by Bakugo and it's funny that many DKBKs understand why Bakugo bullied Deku but they started to pity and want to baby Bakugo after seeing the newest leaks and said Deku becoming a hero is meaningless if he cannot save Bakugo and I was like … "WTF?! Is everything about Bakugo you care about?!"
Not all BKDKs are like that (mostly it's DKBKs) but I must admit, both can be hypocrisy sometimes ; they believe BKDKBK will be canon and endgame and yet when IzuOcha fans argued that IzuOcha would most likely to be canon, BKDKBK said none of the ships would become canon bcs MHA was not about romance (and worse, DKBKs already claimed that if IzuOcha would become canon then Hori created cliche ending). When Noguchi (@nstime23) -- Hori's ex-assistant drew Deku & Bakugo playing together, they shouted 'BKDK canon!' but when Noguchi drew IzuOcha who seemed to be dating, they're like 'Oh, they're good friends.' Even worse called someone homophobic just bcs they don't ship BKDKBK!
Idk if you're also in MHAtwt, many DKBKs & Bakugo stans there also start to hate Deku and harrass BKDKs who loves dekubowl & fixed BKDK who loves Izuku Midoriya and it's disgusting how DKBKs start to become competitive about who's more loved and popular between Bakugo and Deku. When Bakugo is having a badass moments, DKBKs were like, "Bakugo is cool, Hori must love him." but when Bakugo is having a trouble where Deku came to save him, DKBKs were like, "See, Bakugo is so loved -- he's a fragile and beautiful princess," then started another silly headcanon where they antagonize/mischaracter Deku for being obssessive with the Bakugo being the innocent one -- it's really makes me sick!
And this is exactly why I dont like shipping, because of the danger that people will start to care more about the ship then the actual characters! Bakugou and izuku are both nothing but shipping tools for them. Espicially the extrem hardcore shippers just confirmed this after bakugou was WRECKED, tortured, shamed, insultet, humiliated in front of many pro heroes including his "mentor" and homeroom teacher and had all in all just the most terrible day of his life and the only thing most of his "fans" cared about, was ranting about the fan and the offical translation, because it didnt called him "the most important person in izukus life." And on top of that they dont even want bakugou to manage to safe himself by his own strengh and intelligence, no they want IZUKU to show up, go into rage mode and safe the poor damsel in distress! That should show anyone where the real priority lies! The whole point of the last 2 chapters was to show to the readers, that bakugous biggest fear is to always stay in izukus shadow and that he drives to be better then him! HE DOESNT!!!! WANT TO BE SAVED BY IZUKU! Thats literally THE LAST thing he wants, right now!!! How is it that I as a anti bakugou get that but his "fans" not!
Also the last 2 chapters also tried to hit home to readers that bakugou is the obsessed one in this toxic relationship. He is the one who follows izuku around, the one who listens to izukus conversations with others, the one who forces himself into izukus business with ofa and all might and at the same time pretends not to care and to be annoyed, but also asks for more information and the one who keeps a close eye on izukus archivments and growing powers. Bakugou is the stalker in that relationship! Izuku simply admires him for being a winner type (quite funny that bakugou actually had more loses then wins), but despite that minds his own business and spents his time with other friends. He ONLY hangs around bakugou, if its ua related and not in his freetime.
Honestly I didnt know that there exists something like dkbk, but the way you descripe it, its clear the shippers arent better then bkdk. But its nice to see a bkdkbk shipper who shows you can like the ship, but still critique the shipper fanbase behavior.
I dont ship izuocha, but its obvious that its the endgame ship and at that point I think bkdk shippers are really just pretending to be blind. Also personally, I rather have a "boring" and "cliche", but healthy and wholesome ship, then a toxic and abusive one, with one of them stalking the other and having absolutely no agenda outside his obsession to be better then the other. And the stalker in this relationship is NOT izuku! Never was!
