Ever found yourself staring at a blank page or canvas, wondering where your creativity just vanished? This has happened to the best of us.
Creativity blockage is like hitting a wall (i mean in your imagination) and you try to do anything to get it back !! The good news is you can beat it !! You just need a system in place .
Tips:
✅ When you are stuck , step away from your work for a bit.
Why: Because It clears your mind, helps you see things in a fresh way
Example : Go for a short walk, do something fun.
✅ If you still feel stuck change the environment you are in.
Why; Because a new surrounding will spark creativity.
Example: Work in a different room or try a different corner or a cafe.
✅ Set aside time to brainstorm ideas. Write down any ideas no matter how small.
Why: Because it will opens up new possibilities even if they seem silly.
Example: Grab a notebook & jot down anything that comes to your mind (you’ll always go back to that & thank yourself later .. believe me)
✅ Work with others who share your interests.
Why: Because different perspectives bring fresh ideas.
Example: Talk to a friend or join a creative group.
✅ To be creative, keep doing it regularly.
Why: Because it builds your creative muscles over time.
Example : Write, draw , play music , whatever creative activities and you’ll see it gets easier to be creative over time.
And here’s the most important thing, be patient with yourself. Get enough sleep, stay hydrated, eat healthy & yes exercise !!

70% of your work will be mediocre 20% will suck 10% will be amazing

Wow! The last time I posted on here was post COVID. I know I don’t really have an audience, but how are you all doing? Is tumblr still a thing? Is blogging still a thing? Whatever, even if it’s not, the internet is a free country.
Sooo, here’s the thing. I have been struggling. For a while now, to be really honest. I thing COVID messed up all of our mental states in its own way. I don’t think I will be able to recover from the last 3 years.
Anyway, as I was saying. I have been struggling. I have not written anything and even if I try, I get cut off. My ideas are not original anymore and the inspiration is really not there.
I am not motivated and I am insecure about how there are so many great writers and I barely scratch the surface when it comes to making stories. Which is weird because I lie a lot. It should have come in handy. BUT NO!
How do authors cope with this kind of mental block that has been building up for 3 years?
They say to just continue writing. But how? Nothing is coming out of my dry ass brain. Any tips?

I've hit a block of sorts. There's a combo of big personal stress last week (nothing to worry about and it's all good now), completing a really amazing, complicated piece like the Monarch butterfly necklace and achieving master artisan status on Sunday. I'm kind of left wondering, what do I work on now? So, the past few days I've stayed away from my bench, feeling somewhat intimidated. What if my next design isn't awesome? What if it sucks? I could stay blocked by these worries for weeks if I let them get ahold of me but, tonight, I'm going to just try to make simple, pretty earrings. These aren't very original and they're pretty basic, but I'm hoping the act of creating them will help me barrel through my roadblocks. Going blank or experiencing a mental block in the middle of a conversation can be daunting and can be caused by various factors such as stress, anxiety, fatigue or lack of preparedness. And when this happens you may experience difficulties in remembering information, inability to focus of just feeling overwhelmed.
To regain confidence and overcome mental blocks it’s important to take a break a break and relax for a moment .
Here are 05 tips that might help!
1️⃣ Take a deep breath: This can help you calm down and refocus your thoughts.
2️⃣ Ask for a moment: It’s okay to ask for a moment to refocus your thoughts. You can say something like “Can you give me a moment to think about that?” or “I just need a moment here.”
3️⃣ Recap the conversation: sometimes recapping the conversation so far can help you get back on track. You can say something like, “So, if I understand correctly, we were discussing ….”
4️⃣ Ask questions: If you are not sure what to say, ask questions to clarify the topic. This can help you understand the other person’s perspective and give you time to think.
5️⃣ Be honest: It’s okay yo admit that you need a moment or that you’re not sure what to say. Being honest can help you avoid saying something you don’t mean or making a mistake.
Bonus tips !! The other thing that works is visualising your thoughts & practicing your speech before hand or changing the environment for a few minutes. When you come back to the task, start will small easy steps to build momentum !!
Remember everyone experiences mental blockage at times and it’s important to not let it hold you back from expressing yourself.

Similar to this one. I remember this. I am looking for an inspiration to draw something. It took me weeks before I actually came up with a random fanart plus a photo...something. This tragedy is drowning me guys. Why? C’mon? I wish I could at least retrieve some of the things that I wrote that can’t be found on my notes. I don’t know why, or what it means for you. But if I write something. Even as small like this. It is really valuable for me. My inner self. Ruined. Lost. Empty.
