When you heard that Mindy and Ethan had been separated from the rest of the group, you immediately knew nothing was going to go according to the plan.
Everything had happened so fast. First accusation news about Sam had streamed on television, then Quinn's bloody corpse had fallen on top of you, then Anika wasn't able to make it across the latter, her bloody hands and Ghostface's shaking had made her slip. You had lost two of your friends in less than fifteen minutes.
You hadn't heard of the killings in Woodsboro until you had met Tara the first day of junior year, but she made sure to tell you everything that had happened the closer the two of you got.
Based on everything you had heard, you understood why Sam was so protective over Tara, the Carpenter sisters had been through more than normal people have in a lifetime.
However, even though you were nothing but nice and understanding towards Sam, she didn't seem to like you.
The first time Tara had brought you home to the apartment, Sam had kept a burning gaze on you for the whole time, like she wanted to burn you alive.
You thought that she would warm up and eventually trust you like she seemed to do with Anika, Quinn and Ethan, but she never did.
And it only got worse once Tara had called you her girlfriend in front of her, a huge disagreement broke out, so big that Sam had sent you out of the apartment.
You never got to know what Sam had said after that, but you did know that the glares you got from Sam only worsened and so did the small comments she would make about you when she thought you didn't hear.
Such as now, when Sam and Tara were walking in front of you, the theater being the destination. You had this gut feeling that Sam was currently talking about you. You just knew she was, even tho you couldn't hear her voice nor did you see her head moving like it normally did when she spoke, you knew.
But your mind changed thoughts when she rapidly turned on her heel, stopping when she was in front of Danny who had been walking closely behind you, alongside Kirby.
"Not you." She said, her voice cracking.
"What?" He answered almost immediately, like he had been expecting it.
"Don't trust anyone remember?" Sam replied.
You watched the scene with worried eyes, what Sam said reminded you way too much of something she had told Tara when she thought you weren't near. "We don't know you.. not really."
His face expression looked hurt, almost taken aback when Sam spoke. "You know me."
"You're not Woodsboro." She spoke quickly, rage lacing her voice.
Tara looked down at her shoes after that was said, her lips finding a home between her teeth. You knew she was scared, because you were as well. You had no idea how things were going to go down, you had never experienced something as brutal like this before.
You were seconds away from putting a comforting hand on her shoulder, before she looked up at you with tears pricking her eyes.
"That goes for you too." She swallows thickly, trying her hardest to look into your eyes.
You furrowed your eyebrows, panic rising through you. "W-what?" Your voice came out as a stutter, not believing what she had just made it's way out of her mouth.
Tara just nodded unsurely, her eyes looked sad and were filled with doubt. You couldn't understand why. If she was sad about it, why would she say it?
"Tara I- you can't be serious." You spoke again, voice growing shakier by the minute.
She knew very well how terrified you were about the situation as it was, and yet she still chose to leave you out of the plan alongside Sam's unknown fuck buddy? If it didn't make you shake out of fear you would've been infuriated.
"You're not Woodsboro." She stated, same thing as her sister but in a different tone, she'd tried to sound calm, but her voice was filled with uncertainty, shaky with worry.
You knew she was right. You weren't Woodsboro. You had never been to the place nor did you knew it existed before Tara came along. But the fact that she didn't trust you enough to know for certain that you weren't Ghostface, made you feel the need to fall apart. Did she really think you would kill your friends? Let alone hurt them?
The thought made your eyes sting, and before you had the chance to wipe the tears away, they fell.
"Tara please I promise I-" You felt embarrassed, being so vulnerable over basically nothing.
All eyes were on you as you tried to keep the tears from falling, you felt ridiculous. But you were terrified.
You couldn't stand the thought of being left alone in this situation. Not only because you were scared of being alone, but also because you had to protect Tara.
Although you knew Sam would do a perfectly fine job of keeping her safe, but you wanted to do it, you had to. You wanted to prove to Sam that you loved Tara almost the same amount as she did, you wanted to prove to Tara she could trust you with her life.
You could see that Tara wanted to give in, tell you that you could come along and that she trusted you with her whole being. Her eyes were filled with regret and doubt. But you could tell that she wasn't going to change her mind anytime soon.
She just watched you, biting her lips hard enough to draw blood. Seeing the look on your face just made her want to squeeze you in a hug hard enough to make you faint.
You looked so scared, and the fact that she knew how scared you were about the whole situation, made everything worse. She had noticed the terrified look on your face that hadn't left since the attack at the apartment, your trembling hands and the layer of tears in your eyes that never fell.
Tara actually thought that you looked more scared than both Sam and her combined.
"Y/n please just stay here." She tried to reason, as if she wanted this. But she did want it. She wanted you to be safe.
You wanted to argue, tell her that you would refuse to come along. But you knew that you wouldn't get anywhere with it, Tara was stubborn, she always got what she wanted somehow. And you didn't want Sam to see you argue with Tara, that certainly wouldn't help you get on better terms with her.
So you gave in, even though you knew Tara's life was at stake. Sam will take care of her, you tried to tell yourself.
You quickly wiped the tears on your cheeks with your hand, even though everybody had already seen them.
Tara's eyes never left your figure as she watched your trembling hands. "Fine." You almost spit, voice cracking with worry.
Tara nodded at that, happy to hear you give in. You didn't pay attention to anybody's reaction other than hers, they didn't seem to matter.
She walked closer to you, placing a kiss on your faintly tear stained cheek. "Be safe." She said, as if she wasn't the one that was about to walk into a situation that she would either leave traumatized or not leave at all.
"Be safe." You repeated, before you watched them all walk away towards the building.
Seeing as Sam turned her head to Tara and whispered 'good call', as they walked away.
But when you turned around to try and make a decent conversation with Danny, he was nowhere in sight. Making even more worry creep in your bones.
***
You had been pacing around in the same place and pattern for 20 minutes without any progress, Danny was gone, and your phone was dead.
The streets where dead and empty.
You had half a mind to just run to the theaters and do the exact opposite of what Tara had instructed you to. But you knew well enough that both of the Carpenter sisters would quite literally murder you if you stepped a foot into their plan.
But eventually the worry and stress got to you, like it always did. You didn't care if you were going to get murdered whether if it were by Tara or Ghostface, if it was for protecting Tara, it was a good reason.
However, before you had the chance to change your mind or consider the other options, a glove-covered hand landed on your face, covering your mouth tightly.
The yelp and screams you tried to make was inaudible, nobody could hear them.
You felt a surge of fear and panic, unable to hear your own scream. The street grew eerily silent as you struggled to break free, your heart pounding in your chest. Rush of intense vulnerability and confusion, as you desperately searched for a way to escape the grasp of the unknown assailant.
But you knew who it was. It was Ghostface.
You tried to kick them with your legs, but none of them seemed to hit. The person was holding a strong grip on your mouth, and the other arm was firmly placed around your waist. You were unable to move out of any of the grips, the person was too strong. And you weren't.
Your panic was making it harder to breath, and you were beginning to feel as if you were about to faint any second.
You tried your best to remove the grip with your hands, gripping hardly on the muscular arms, trying so hard to get them away from you.
The tightened arms had veins all over them, yet another reminder that it was impossible for you to get away.
It was Danny, you tried to tell yourself over the ringing in your ears. It had to be Danny. He had left the second you were alone with him. It had to be him.
Muffled screams and ringing ears were the only noises you could make out. If the person behind you was speaking in a voice changer to you or not, you had no idea.
The panic you felt was replaced with relief when the thought of using your elbow to hit the individual behind you entered your mind.
But you never got the chance to do that.
Seconds before your elbow was about to meet the Ghostface mask, you felt a sharp pain in your lower abdomen.
All of the movements you were making stopped the second you realized what it was.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
Six.
Seven.
Seven times you could feel the sharp piece of metal enter and exit your abdomen. A gasp escaped your mouth after every single one of them.
You tried to scream, but nobody was around. Your wide eyes scanned through the street, yet again seeing that nobody was there. It was all empty.
Normally the streets of New York would be filled with drunk teenagers and late night workers, whether it was night or afternoon.
But when the news about the killers got out, everybody stayed inside. Some people didn't even bother to leave for work, and of course no parties. Even the homeless people seemed to have found another place to stay at.
You didn't realize that numbness was spreading through your legs until the potential male had slowly began to loosen the grip he had on your figure.
Before you had time to think, he had completely let go.
Suddenly you felt dizzy, you couldn't feel your feet, you couldn't feel your legs, you couldn't feel anything.
You could barely feel your legs giving up, nor did you feel your body hitting the ground as you tried to cover up the damage that had been made on your lower stomach.
Regardless the sharp pain in your body that almost made it impossible to breathe and the dizziness that got worse every time you moved, you tried to crawl towards the fence that was just centimeters away.
Your hands bloody from trying to add pressure to your wounds made trails on the asphalt.
You couldn’t tell if you had placed your hands on the right place, considering that the stab wounds were all over the place. And you didn't even dare to look down, because you could guarantee that it wouldn't be a pleasant sight.
Your eyes were starting to close by themselves and you were struggling to keep them open.
Everything hurt.
The pressure you were putting on the wounds was now becoming lighter, your hands didn't seem to have any strength left in them.
Tara would be here soon, you thought, desperately.
She would be here soon, everything would be okay; no more Ghostface attacks, no more Sam hating you, and no more unexpected death cases of your friends.
Your mind focused on Tara.
Her brown hair, her beautiful brown eyes, her dimples and her breathtaking smile. Her voice, her touch, and her joyful laugh.
Your eyes closed, and this time you couldn't stop them. The pressure on your wounds was no longer existent. The color in you was gone. You were gone.
Last thought being the girl you wanted to marry.
***
Tara left the building with a lump in her stomach, as big as a bowling ball.
Her body was filled with worry and guilt, but a part of her felt relief. She was relieved that everything was over now. No more Ghostfaces. She was done with them, truly.
Tara couldn't wait to see you. She was going to tell you that the decision she made was right, that she was happy you stayed behind, because you stayed safe.
But when Danny had walked into the theater, tackling all kinds of officer in his way, he was all alone. You weren't there, you didn't come with him.
Danny told them that the two of you had lost sight of each other rather quickly after they'd left, that you probably just needed to be alone and breathe for a moment.
Tara knew that you would be upset with her, for not allowing you to come with them, for not letting you protect her, like you always told her you would, even if it meant dying.
Although she had hoped for you to at least come to see if she made it out alive.
Danny had called the cops and ambulance to arrive at the place as soon as he got the chance. That's why the only thing in Tara's sight was ambulances, police cars and the fire department.
Chad had miraculously made it out alive, same with Mindy and Kirby. And even though that made Tara want to cry out in happy tears, she couldn't let herself feel anything until she had seen you.
Safe and secure. Like you should've been.
Panic began to rise within Tara as minutes passed without any sight of you.
Sam stood beside her, trying to sooth her younger sister with comforting words. But they didn't make anything better for her.
After the whole showdown, the two Carpenter sister's had talked, really talked.
Sam had tried to explain to Tara that she didn't actually hate you, the opposite really. She thought you were lovely and a perfect match for Tara. But she didn't want to take any risks.
She wanted to show you the walls to her trust weren't easy to break. And then she thought that if she acted rude towards you, you would eventually leave; meaning there was no need for Sam to let her guard down and open up to people she didn't know.
But Sam knew how much Tara loved you, she had been listening to her sister's rambling about you everyday.
That's why Sam could feel her heart sinking down her entire being when her eyes met with a stretcher where a body was placed, a morgue sheet on top of it, which was filled with blood.
Sam prayed that it was somebody else. That you had walked somewhere else to breathe just like Danny had assumed.
She felt the need to distract Tara before she had the chance to see it, but it was too late.
She had already seen it.
Tara screamed out your name in a sob, straight away assuming that you were the person underneath the white cover.
The woman who had been pushing the stretcher had stopped, turning around to try and give the man behind her any sort of information about the deceased individual.
Tara's legs moved faster than she could process, Sam following shortly after.
Heart pounding, hands trembling. With a swift of motion, she grabbed the edge of the wrap and pulled it upward, revealing your pale and peaceful face.
The vibrant hues that once painted your face were now gone, leaving behind a pale and ghostly visage. The colors had been drained from you, you no longer looked like yourself.
Tara could feel herself gasp loudly at the sight, turning around with a hand placed on her mouth.
A surge of sickness overwhelmed her. A gut-wrenching sensation, as if her stomach was about to revolt. She felt like she was on the verge of throwing up, basically feeling the acidic liquids rise within her.
It was you. Her girl. Dead. Gone.
Sam had the same reaction to the sight, gasping and putting her hand on her mouth, preventing from letting out any tears or sounds. Chills running down her spine.
Stop it. Pull it together. Tara. Tara needs you. Sam told herself.
Gaze shifting from your body and the bloody sheet upon you to her younger sister, who was sobbing beside her, about to fall down to her knees.
But when Sam put a hand on Tara's shoulder, she stood straighter. "No!" She shot up, voice raspy.
She looked at you again, but this time not caring for the feeling inside of her throat that threatened her. "She's not dead." Tara spoke again, trying to convince herself that you were alive, that she could save you.
"Tara-" Sam tried, but Tara had no interest in listening to her sister.
"Y/n. Baby, look at me." Tara gently brushed her fingertips against your cheeks, but quickly pulled away when she felt the chill that pierced through her body, for they were once a source of warmth and comfort, now distant and cold.
You were always warm.
The tears streamed down Tara's face, leaving even more mascara smudges on her cheeks, falling and leaving marks on her blue shirt. The shirt that you had gotten her.
"Sam, Come on! help me please" She begged for her big sister's help, still hoping that you could be saved.
At that sentence, the woman who had pushed you turned around, she seemed to have heard Tara's pleads and begs, filled with hope, wishing that you were alive. "Oh honey, this girl has been deceased for over an hour...we can't save her."
The woman spoke apologetically and looked at Tara with sorrowed eyes. "I'm so sorry." She ended. Tara was about to scream at the lady, yell at her and tell them to at least try, you weren't gone. There was no way.
But before Tara got the chance to argue, Sam had pulled her into her chest, embracing Tara with a hug. And at that, Tara broke.
The sobs left her mouth faster than she could take them in, she didn't have any space to breathe.
"She's gone." She cried, her tears staining the older woman's shirt. "And I wasn't there to help her." Tara rambled, talking rapidly before the next sob would escape.
Sam didn't know what to say. She just stroke her younger sister's hair, trying to soothe her sobs.
She had never seen Tara this vulnerable and emotionally ruined, not even when she had reunited with Tara at the hospital the previous year.
Tara's body shook violently as each sob left her mouth.
It was a mistake. It was all a mistake.
Tara had been so confident with her decision only minutes before. She thought she had made the right move.
But it turned out to be the biggest mistake of her life.
A mistake she couldn't take back, and had to live with for the rest of her time alive.

Sam's love life was completely dull and uneventful, it was something she's very self aware of.
It was almost tragic how lonely she was.
Although she knew she should have had an active love life; being a professor brought opportunities for intellectual conversations, networking events, and collaborative projects, which should've brought at least some kind of connections to her.
But it didn't.
All of Sam's colleagues were polite and all, but they were all so much older than her, she couldn't find herself relating to relate to any of them.
And besides, dating wasn't her thing. Since the last time she had thought she found the right person, she almost ended up dead along with her sister.
Sam could never trust anyone enough to date them. All the blame for the lack of trust rested on her previous psycho ex.
Richie had left a scar on her body, and it wasn't in the form of a stab wound.
Despite the loneliness and the lack of company, Sam loved her job.
She loved the subject she was teaching, and her colleagues were actually pretty decent.
The biggest bonus was that she got a good paycheck. She didn't have to work two jobs that could barely pay the rent for her and Tara's apartment.
And to Sam's own surprise and satisfaction, the students didn't seem to whisper about her or spread the rumors that had been on the internet ever since the murders in Woodsboro.
Most of Sam's classes were filled with jocks, party-goers or just genuinely stupid people. After all, the school she taught at had a reputation for attracting a more socially-oriented crowd rather than focusing on academic excellence.
Sam wasn't really the kind of teacher that had a big connection with her classes, sure she would crack awkward jokes in class occasionally and greet them in the hall, but no more than that.
It never felt important to her, she was there to teach, to work and to get her salary.
But then there was you.
Sam never payed attention to the people that entered the classroom, or on what place they chose to sit in for the rest of the lesson. But with you, she did.
You had caught her attention the second her eyes got in contact with your figure. It had been when she was about to introduce herself in front of the class, her first day.
The way you had looked at her when she spoke didn't make you seem like the cocky or popular type, however the outfits you chose to wear to school told her otherwise.
Skirts that were either the size of a belt or skirts that would totally show your entire ass if you bent over the slightest. And if it wasn't minimal skirts it was low waisted jeans that showed the top of your underwear.
Tiny and tight crop tops that would show the exact outline and shape of your breasts.
Sam was shocked when she found out the college didn't have a dress code, since it allowed students like you to dress like models straight out from a 90s porno.
Based on the choice of clothing you thought was school appropriate, made Sam think that you were one of those popular mean girls that she used to absolute gush over in high school.
But you didn't seem to be like that. Sure, you were popular, but that was because of your prettiness, not because you were rude or that people were scared of you. Because in fact, nobody was scared of you.
You were loyal. You were friends with technically everyone, including the teachers.
From what Sam had seen in the halls and in the classroom, you always had a smile on your face, greeting everyone you saw with a wave and the smile that looked as if the person you were talking to had hung the stars.
Sam thought it was impressive how much beauty can do for a person. The way everybody loved you because you were pretty, everybody.
Although Sam didn't think much about your scandalous outfits or the way you admired Sam every time she made eye contact with you during briefings.
Not until you had began to walk towards her desk after class had been finished.
The way you would call her 'Mrs Carpenter'. Just like you should've, just like everyone else did, yet it sounded so different.
At first it had only been a simple question about an assignment, but then you started to stop by after every single lesson.
Sam tried to act like normal, responsible. But it was almost impossible when you would slightly lean forward, basically forcing Sam's gaze to your chest. Your hushed and low voice did it for her as well. You talked as if it was secret, as if nobody else was allowed to hear.
She was starting to think that it was all on purpose, that it was all because you wanted a better grade that you couldn't accomplish by yourself.
Sam knew for a certain that she wouldn't give in, she wouldn't give in because you tried to 'flirt' with her, it might've worked with your other professors but it definitely wouldn't work with her.
Sam was stubborn and incredibly obstinate, but she was also very insecure, alongside having no self respect. Most times when she would tell herself to avoid doing something, her lack of confidence would make her do it regardless.
Weeks passed and you didn't stop. You asked Sam for help after every single class.
You spoke to her in a flirty and hushed voice,  Sam had tried to talk back normally, but she would be lying if she couldn't hear her own voice sounding flirty as well.
Sam didn't know what she was doing, you were her student. But you made it so incredibly difficult for her to act like it.
You were gorgeous, model material. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was that you were aware of it, you knew how pretty you were, you knew exactly how to act around people to get your way.
She couldn't understand what was happening, but when you were with her, Sam felt this subtle flutter whenever you approached or just looked at her.
Sam had never felt that feeling before, not even when she was with Richie.
So instead of telling herself you did that with all your teachers, she began thinking that maybe, just maybe you did it because you actually liked her. Even though it wasn't allowed.
Sam was starved. Not from food starvation or hunger, but from love and touch. And she knew it was wrong to think that way when it was about you, it was so wrong.
But it was just thoughts right? Nobody could hear them.
That's what she had thought, but it was like you could read her mind.
Your attempts of trying to make Sam give in got more and more intense. You would touch her hands, standing close up to her and compliment her.
Eventually, Sam's mouth had moved faster than her mind could process. She had accepted your request for her to tutor you.
Sam knew that you didn't actually want tutoring, you were passing the subjects enough to graduate, unlike everybody else in your class. She knew that this was your attempt to flirt even more.
She knew she should've cancelled. The thought still haunted her, what would've happened if she did? Everything would've been so different.
However, Sam didn't cancel. And it turned out exactly like she thought it would.
You had insisted to sit beside her, and not in front of her. You would make sure your arms touched, that you spoke closely to her ear, you would bite your lips and toe flirt with her.
You were bold, so bold that it made you look hotter than Sam thought was possible.
Sam was desperate for something to change so she wouldn't feel the desire to be touched. Her body was craving a touch that wasn't from herself, not from anybody but you.
She felt disgusted by her own thoughts, every single thought her mind managed to convey was about you.
Next thing she knew, your lips had landed on hers. And Sam just couldn't pull away, her mind wasn't working properly. She had kissed you back.
But when her mind started to fall back in place, she pulled away, panic rushing through her as she had scanned the place, making sure nobody had seen it.
She had kissed her student, in a library. A public library.
Her mind had done this before. When she had been on top of Richie, knife going in and out of his chest, blood being the only thing that could be seen. It was like a blackout, Sam didn't know what she was doing, but at the same time, she knew exactly. But it had felt too good to stop. Just like it had been with you.
When you got the confirmation of Sam wanting the same thing, you had pulled her into the bathroom stall, where Sam couldn't help but kiss you just as hungrily as she had done in her disgusting thoughts.
Nothing mattered when your hands were roaming her body. The fact that you were her student and she was your teacher didn't seem to matter at all in that moment.
Sam couldn't understand what her mind was doing to her. This was like another one of those blackouts, where she couldn't think about the consequences of the things she was doing.
Like now, when she found herself in her own bed tangled up in the sheets, with you next to her.
Bare.
Her mind was all over the place. Thoughts racing through her mind like the traffic in New York, making her head feel like it was about to explode.
She couldn't show you the panic she was feeling about the whole situation. Because that would make you think she regretted it. And she didn't, god no she didn't.
You were so gentle yet bold at the same time. You made sure to ask for permission before doing everything, but you did everything so well.
Your touch was everything Sam's body had craved for months, it was nothing like she had done before. Your touch basically boiled on her skin.
You worshipped Sam in ways she didn't even know existed. The ways you touched her felt so good that she couldn't begin to understand what you were doing.
It had all felt so good that Sam could barely remember it. She remembered moaning, she remembered the satisfaction in it all; the warmth, the passion and the wetness.
Looking down at your figure laying against her, legs tangled up in each other, to see that your eyes were already on her. Your beautiful eyes filled with curiosity and admiration was inspecting her face, fingers smoothly running through her hair.
"What're you thinking about?" Your voice came out as a whisper, voice cracking from the lack of talking; words had not been the priority just minutes before.
When Sam made eye contact with you, all the worries faded away. She could be fired because of this, because of you, yet you were the person who could make the worries bluntly disappear.
Sam's lips curled into a gentle smile when she looked at you, bringing up her finger to subtly caress your cheek. "That this won't help you get a better grade.." She lied, a faint laugh escaping from her lips.
You smirked up at her before planting a kiss on her lips. "Please Mrs Carpenter. I promise I'll do better next time." Sarcasm laced your voice, and if Sam hadn't heard that, she would be panicking.
The fact that you had called her 'Mrs Carpenter' made her stomach twirl, sparkles flying around in it. Just like it had done when you moaned it a few minutes ago.
Although the twirls quickly turned into guilt. She shouldn't be doing this, she shouldn't be in bed with you, let alone be in her own apartment with you.
It truly didn't matter how many excuses she tried to make for herself, it wasn't right, and she should've been disgusted with herself.
She was a professor at a college who had fucked her student. And for obvious reasons, that just wasn't allowed.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Pairing: ghostface!Sam Carpenter x f!reader
Warnings: smut, fingering, strap on sex, praise, r gets tied up, pet names, spanking (like once), canon typical violence, blood, stabbing
Summary: "Take off my mask"
A/n: ...I'm sorry
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Ghostface sits on the loveseat, her legs crossed and her posture entirely relaxed as she playfully taps her knife against the glass of your coffee table.
You take a second to gather your courage and lunge.
She's too gobsmacked to react, and in less than a second you have her pinned against the back of the loveseat, a knife pressing against her neck.
"The bodega. Was it you? Because if it was, I'll gut you myself," you growl.
You feel her shaky exhale before she drops her knife to the floor, turning you around in a split second and pinning you down with her weight. Your knife is still dangerously close to her neck, but you don't think she cares, with the way she grabs your waist possessively.
"Fuck," she breathes out, caressing your waist.
"Let me go," you hiss, pushing against her chest with your other hand.
She uses this moment to push your hand away from her throat, clutching it in her strong grip, your knife dangling uselessly between your fingertips.
"There's no way I'm letting you go, baby. No fucking way." She's breathless, her chest heaving heavily as she pushes you deeper into the cushions.
"I'm not your baby," you growl, trying to push her away. "You think you can just show up here after almost killing my friends? I don't care what kind of vigilante bullshit you've got going on, they're off limits." You buckle against her, growing red in the face when she doesn't move an inch.
She tilts her head, seemingly taking you in. She stays silent way too long for your liking, just breathing heavily and observing you, shifting her grip on your wrist. The action reminds you that your other hand is still around her shoulder, clutching it hard enough to leave half moons on her skin even through multiple layers of fabric.
"Go ahead," she whispers, "try."
You wonder how the fuck does she know what you're about to do.
Still, your hand moves slowly, and you don't dare look away from the black hollow eyes of the mask, swallowing when you finally come in contact with the heated skin of her neck. You don't waste another moment and grip, cutting off her airway. She expected it, clearly, but she still lets you send both of you tumbling to the floor. She lands with a huff, your thighs straddling her hips, and now that your roles are reversed you feel a sense of power over her, no matter how fleeting it might be.
Her pulse is erratic against your fingers, but she stays still, not moving an inch, and speaks up, "I came here to punish you, you know? I told you to stay home. Our home." You freeze, gaping at her. "I thought you learned your lesson that first time, but no, you decide to play hero and go off on your own in the middle of the fucking night," she growls, easily throwing you off her body. You sit on the floor, not daring to move as she removes her voice changer.
There's no need for that - you already know who's behind the mask.
"Take off my mask," Sam orders and you tremble at the commanding tone, hesitantly reaching up to remove the plastic.
There's no color in her eyes, only black of her pupils. She's panting, her expression pure lust. She looks you up and down slowly, gaze lingering on the knife between your fingers. You let it fall on the floor with a dull thump and she smiles dangerously, lifting her eyes. "Now take off your clothes."
You whimper, clumsily following the order as she drinks you up with her eyes, kneeled on the floor. When you're left naked she rummages in the pockets off her robe, pulling something out before carelessly shrugging it off and throwing it to the side.
"Come here," she pats her lap, leaning back against the foot of the couch. You do so quickly, stifling a whimper when your core brushes against her leg. She pulls you into a bruising kiss, all teeth and bite as your hips start rocking on her thigh, chasing pleasure. You grip the cushions behind her back, arching in her hold before you feel her push your hands away and lead them behind your back. She tries them up with something silky and smooth, probably a scarf, tugging to check if it's tight enough.
"So you don't jump me again," she chuckles and you grow embarrassingly wet, stifling a whimper at her degrading tone. "I only wanted to scare you that night when I visited you for the first time. Wanted to make sure you listen to me next time, but there you were, in a fucking towel. I wanted you for so long and you were right there, ready for me to take." She pushes on your hips, and you throw your head back, letting out a loud moan when you feel a bulge in her pants. "But this time… you pinned me down, put a knife to my throat. Remember what you said?" She husks, cupping the back of your head and forcing you to look at her. You nod dazedly, nails dig into your palms, trying to keep in your pathetic whimpers. She plants her hands on your cheeks. "Say it again."
You close your eyes and arch into her body, your breasts practically in her face. "I said I'd gut you- not you, I- I'd kill the person who tried to hurt you and Tara."
She lets out a deep breath that sounds like a moan and reaches behind you. "You'd kill for me?" She pants.
You nod against her lips. "Yes."
She growls, a sound so deep and primal it makes you shudder, and shows you the mask. "Then I think you should put this on, don't you?" You don't dare move an inch, watching as she puts the mask on your face with hunger in her eyes. Her thigh pushes between your legs, making you whimper. "Sam- please…"
"Perfect." She chuckles, trailing a hand trailing over your breasts, slowly, teasingly. "You love it, don't you? That's why you never said anything. I killed everyone who tried to hurt you and you fucking love it."
"Yes. Fuck, yes, Sam," you gasp grinding on her thigh. You can't take your eyes off her. Sweat drips down the valleys between her breasts, disappearing behind her thin tank top, pulling your attention to her perky nipples. You'd kill for a chance to taste them.
"My dirty girl, fucking perfect for me." She leans down and places long kisses down your neck, savoring the taste of your skin. Your breasts brush and you arch into her, chasing the feeling, but she merely chuckles before forcing your legs open and plunging two fingers inside with no warning. Your hands jerk and you hiss when the movement makes the scarf tighten, hurting your wrists. Sam chuckles into your neck before biting down, leaving a deep purple mark as you struggle to hold back a moan. "Don't," she hisses, "don't you dare hold back." She thrusts into you mercilessly, tugging your nipple between her teeth.
You want to throw your arms around her shoulders and hide your face in her hair, pulling her incredibly close, but your hands lay limp behind your back and the mask on your face makes it impossible to feel the softness of her hair. You look at her through the dark hollows, gasping for breath when she adds a third finger, almost falling back on the floor, trying to ride her, moving your hips up and down.
You feel pressure building in your lower belly and you tell Sam you're close, moaning her name as she fastens her pace before she abruptly pulls out, leaving you to whine uselessly.
She gets up from the floor with you in her arms and throws you over her shoulder, heading to your bedroom. Her palm settles on your ass, squeezing possessively as she shoulders your door before carelessly throwing you on the bed, making you bounce on the mattress. There's shuffling of fabric before she quickly unties your wrists. You sigh, flexing the strained muscles, and then you're rolled on your back, moaning when you see her fully naked. You let out a heavy breath, looking at Sam towering over you, her abs clenched as her fingers wrap around her strap. You unconsciously spread your legs, shuffling higher to settle on the pillows.
"Hands on the headboard," she orders, picking up the scarf from the floor. You put your hands over your head and she makes quick work of tying them up again, giving your nipple a painful squeeze as her hand slides down your torso to your dripping pussy.
"Please, Sam," you plead, grinding on her palm.
She hums and straddles your thigh, her sex flush against the muscle, smearing wetness. She grinds on you messily, losing herself in pleasure, and you're left to marvel at the sight. Her abs clench each time her pussy slides over your flesh, chest rising rapidly. She closes her eyes and throws her head back, moaning loudly. You whimper, trying to find friction against her thigh. She looks down at you in ecstasy, breathing through her open mouth as she messily humps your leg.
"Fuck, you look so good," you whimper, thinking you could come just from watching her. She chuckles lowly, coating you in her arousal and her strap bumps against your clit, making your hips jerk.
"You want it?" She taunts, halting her movements and positioning herself between your parted thighs. Your legs wrap around her waist, pulling her flush against you before you answer. "I want you," you whimper, feeling the tip of her cock nudge against your entrance.
"You have me, baby," she says, before snapping her hips forward, burying the thick length in your wet heat. "How does that feel, hm?"
You moan, hips buckling in her hold. "So good, Sam, you feel so good."
She hums and starts thrusting slowly, placing fleeting kisses over your chest before she leans back, her fingers wrapping around your ankles to throw them over her shoulders. "Keep them open for me," she says and returns her hands to your hips, pressing you into the bed, picking up the pace.
She mercilessly pounds into your pussy, the wet slapping sound echoing through your room. You moan, throwing your head back, making the mask skew a little before it's ripped off your face. "Want to see your pretty face when you come," she breathes, pressing on the bulge on your lower belly. "You're taking my cock so well, princess. Such a good girl." Her praises reach your ears, but you barely make them out amidst mind-blowing pleasure.
"S-sam! Fuck, I'm close," you moan, helplessly tugging on the restraints. Sam starts rubbing your clit and you feel your orgasm build up, making you arch your back off the bed.
"You're gonna scream for me, baby," she pants, fastening her pace, her strap burying in your tight cunt to the hilt, her thumb playing with your swollen nub of nerves.
You come with a loud cry of her name, your walls clenching around the silicone cock as she continues pounding into you at an animalistic pace, drilling you into the bed. Your bed shakes, the headboard steadily smashing against the wall as she makes it her mission to lead you to another orgasm. Your tears roll down your cheeks, blurring the sight of her lust filled eyes, looking down at you like she's about to consume you whole.
"Such a good pussy, all mine to use," she purrs, throwing your legs off her shoulders and rolling you onto your side, the changing of the angle making her strap reach deeper into you. Her hand settles over your thigh, gripping possessively before she lets go to land a slap on your ass, her other hand pressing down on the side of your head.
"Yours, a-all yours ah-," you cry out, feeling your climax approach, each thrust bringing you closer to the edge.
She leans over your body to whisper in your ear. "You're mine. Say it."
Your eyes roll to the back of your head as she buries her strap in you again and again, hitting your sensitive spot. "Yours, I'm yours."
She bites down on the curve of your shoulder to hide her moan as she reaches her high, taking you over the edge with her. Your vision goes white, your cunt clenching around her cock, your wetness coating the sheets under you.
She slumps beside you, lazily untying the scarf and massaging your arms before slowly pulling out and pushing you to lay on top of her. "We're not done yet, baby," she whispers into your hair and pulls you into a deep kiss.

A piercing ringing sound wakes you up, making you roll out of Sam's warm embrace and fall on the floor in a heap of sheets with a dull thump. You groan, sending her a finger when she snorts and finally picks up her phone. Your carpeted floor feels too fluffy to get up and move back to bed, your eyes falling shut as Sam speaks with her sister. You slowly drift off, teetering on the edge of consciousness when Sam picks you up and gently lowers you back on the bed, pressing a chaste kiss on the corner of your mouth before disappearing behind the bathroom door. You burrow into her pillow, the sound of running water lulling you back to sleep.
Next time you wake up to gentle caresses, smiling, not fully awake yet, but not asleep either. You feel her lips stretch in a smile when she starts kissing the side of your neck, her breath tickling, making you giggle.
You finally open your eyes when she calls out your name, coaxing you to get up. You pout and try to tug her back to bed, but she narrowly escapes your grip, chuckling when you frown.
"It's past noon, time to get up. Tara's been worried out of her mind," she says and checks her phone when it dings, groaning as she reads the text. "They're all waiting back home. I hate these kids sometimes."
You snort, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. "I bet Mindy made everyone come cause she has some theory to share."
She laughs quietly as she types a response, and looks back at you. "Breakfast is almost ready and you better be dressed when I come back. And don't even try covering these up." She gestures to your neck with her forefinger and you instinctively reach up to touch your sore skin.
She's out of the door before you could complain, leaving you to stew in now cold sheets. You don't test your luck though, and rush to take a shower and dress when you hear her in the kitchen.
You get ready in record time, walking into the kitchen right when she starts putting plates on the table. Your mouth waters when a delicious smell hits your nose, and when she pulls out a chair for you, you rush to her side to press a kiss on her cheek. "Thank you," you whisper.
She hums, pushing your hair to one side when you sit and presses a kiss to your neck. "My girlfriend deserves the best," she breathes, making you shudder.
You find the strength to object. "You didn't even ask if I want to be your girlfriend."
She pauses, frowning. "You don't?"
You bite back a smile at her confused expression, pulling her down for a proper kiss. "It doesn't hurt to ask."
She huffs, and walks around the table to take a seat, looking you right in the eye as she replies. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?"
"Yes," you mumble, growing embarrassingly red, and dive in the food, biting back a moan at the taste. She hums in approval, swiping some sauce for the corner of your mouth. "Good girl."

You ask the question that's been nagging at your mind for the past few days when you're getting ready to leave. "So… there are at least two, right?"
"Hm?"
"Ghostface. One called and the other one attacked you at the bodega."
She shrugs, "I guess."
You frown, noting her lack of reaction. "When I got the call they said they knew your secret."
She walks up to you and puts her hands around your waist. "It doesn't matter. They still haven't told anyone and that means they want to deal with me themselves."
You nod. It makes sense, but you're still worried. The possibility of her dying or going behind bars makes your skin crawl.
"Hey," she caresses your cheek, "it'll be okay, I promise, just… you're with me, right?"
Your lips press against her palm. "Always."
You enter the building an hour later, darting inside quickly, Sam checking every corner before she lets you pass. You walk quietly, heading for the elevators when a man stops in your way, smiling at Sam. You expect her to ignore him or maybe even push him out of the way, but she rolls her eyes good-naturally and greets him with a hug, a smile pulling at the corner of her mouth.
"Who's this?" You ask, eyes darting between Sam and the man, and you decide you don't like him at all.
He looks… adequate, tall and obviously muscular, his eyes bright blue. He also looks dangerous, like a guy you'd avoid at parties. But then again Sam looks dangerous too, so you probably shouldn't judge him too quickly.
"Danny. Our neighbor," she introduces you and he smiles, extending his hand.
You take it, his fingers wrapping around yours with gentle, but firm squeeze. You mutter your name, looking him up and down. You've never seen him before and you've spent weeks at Sam's place by now.
"I don't think I've ever seen you before."
He chuckles and rubs the back of his head. "I'm not surprised. I work at night, sleep through the day."
You nod, feeling Sam's eyes on you. "Yeah, that must be it," you mumble.
She nudges you to the elevators, bidding Danny goodbye. You follow her, chewing on your lip.
No, you decide, you definitely don't like him.
"What was that?" Sam asks with a teasing glint in her eyes. "Jealous?"
You scoff. "You wish."
She hums in agreement, but sports a smug smile all the way to her front door. Tara greets you both with a hug the second you step inside the apartment, eyeing you worriedly. Sam shrugs her off with a calming smile, urging her into the kitchen. You bite back a smile when Tara begrudgingly follows, muttering something about Sam and her stress cooking.
Mindy and Anika are cuddled up on the couch, too busy gossiping about their new professor to notice you. Chad gives you a small wave, scooting to give you space to sit. The hug he gives you is warm and reassuring and you place a chaste kiss on his cheek, noting the absence of Quinn and Ethan.
"Quinn's in her room and Ethan has Econ," he mumbles, noticing your questioning look. You nod, and relax against his shoulder, allowing yourself to bask in the moment.
Sam and Tara chatter as they cook something, judging by the smell it's Sam's famous grilled cheese. Your mouth waters even though you ate not that long ago, remembering the taste. You sneak a glance in their direction and see them laughing. The shorter girl shoves Sam hard, but your girlfriend doesn't budge, eyes rolling at the sisters' antics.
You wish you could stay like this forever.
Mindy finally looks away from her girlfriend, eyebrows jumping up when she sees you. "Where have you been?"
You groan, feeling the way Chad's shoulders shake with laughter. "She won't let it go, just roll with it," he whispers.
"She was with me, Mindy, don't even start," Sam shouts from the kitchen, twirling a knife between her fingers. The sight makes something inside of you catch on fire.
"Gross," Mindy grumbles and whines when Anika leaves her, choosing to sit on your other side.
You share a laugh, your friend molding against your side. They put on a movie, not a slasher, thank god, and you settle deeper into the cushions as you watch, putting your hand around Anika's shoulders and sending Mindy a smug look. She rolls her eyes, huffing, and crosses her arms, turning to look at the screen with her lips jutted out. Sam and Tara join you when they're finally done, your girlfriend sending Chad and Anika a glare before she settles on the floor with a pout, a mirror image of Mindy. You bite on your lower lip, suppressing a smile. Screen flashes brightly and you dive into the story unfolding, forgetting about the real world for a few hours.
You nod off when you're almost halfway through the sequel, now flat against Sam's front as you both sit on some cushions on the floor, Mindy having thrown you away from her girlfriend when she came back with more snacks. Sam's arms find home around your waist, keeping you trapped between her legs as she presses soft kisses all over the side of your face. She shushes everyone and lowers the volume once she finally notices you've fallen asleep, snatching Mindy's blanket to cover your feet.
When you open your eyes some time later, expecting to see credits rolling or another movie playing, you see a murder report, sirens in the background wailing loudly, a likely cause of your abrupt awakening. You frown, struggling to make out words with your mind still half asleep, but when you hear your girlfriend's name your focus becomes laser like. Everyone in the room listens with rapt attention to every word falling from the reporter's mouth, Sam nudging you away and stomping to the kitchen once murder acquisitions are made known.
You swallow, looking at Sam's hunched figure, your throat suddenly dry. Tara elbows you and throws her chin in Sam's direction, eyes widening in an attempt at silent communication. You nod and follow her, both of you taking a seat on either side of the dejected woman.
"Sam?" Tara hesitantly speaks up. "None of what they said matters. We'll get that motherfucker and people will know the truth. They'll see you how we see you." She places her hand on top of Sam's, squeezing.
You bite on your lower lip when Sam's face crumbles at her sister's words, a single tear sliding down her cheek. "And what if they're right?" She croaks, turning to look at her sister. "What if they see me for what I really am and you're the one who's wrong?"
Tara opens her mouth, fire in her eyes, but you beat her to it. "She's right," you state, Sam snapping back to look at you. "You did what you had to do before. They'll never understand it, but we do. You're good, Sam, everyone in this room knows it."
Mindy and Chad take a seat across the table, worriedly eyeing your girlfriend, but her eyes are on you, latching onto every word that leaves your lips.
"Do you really think so?" She whispers and you can see the hidden insecurity behind her irises. This feels like a conversation you should be having in private, away from Mindy's piercing eyes and Tara's attentiveness.
Your lips press against hers before you whisper quietly, only for her to hear. "I know so. You saved me, remember?"
Tension seeps away as she pulls you into another kiss, lips moving gently against your own, tongue sliding across your bottom lip before Mindy forces you apart by fake gagging.
Tara pulls her into a hug, somehow fitting her older sister in the slope of her neck. "Shut it, Mindy." She glares at the girl.
Mindy throws her arms up in mock surrender and Chad takes this moment to say, "That's right. We're the core four, we've been through worse."
Sam loudly snorts into Tara's shoulder, making the girl grimace. "The core what?" Mindy's side eye burns through him.
"The core four. You know, cause we've been through a lot. Plus, it sounds cool."
"It really doesn't," you chuckle.
"And there's five of us, dingus, six if we count Anika," the twin sister points out.
"Yeah, but Y/n isn't Woodsboro and neither is Anika..." he trails off, looking to the side. "Core four and a half? Core four and plus ones?"
Mindy rolls her eyes so hard you're afraid they might stick to the back of her head. "Just shut up."
You get up to get a glass of water for Sam after making sure she's fine, dropping your phone on the table and heading to the kitchen. Your eyes roll to the back of your head when you hear Quinn and her latest boy toy going at it again, and open the fridge, scanning for a bottle of water.
Suddenly, the apartment grows quiet before chaos takes over.
"Y/n!" Sam shouts loudly, and you run back, her fingers immediately latching onto your wrist with a tight grip. She shows you a message on her phone, a photo of Ghostface holding Quinn by the throat in her room.
You freeze with a baited breath, eyes pinned to the door. Pained wails from behind the wall make you dart to the door, throwing Sam's hand away from yours. You open the door before she pushes you behind her back, obscuring the view, but you still catch a glimpse of Quinn's limp body being thrown at Anika.
Your friends scream and scutter around the apartment, Ghostface hot on your heels. Sam's hand finds yours again, pulling you behind Chad and Tara, Mindy and Anika following close by, but Ghostface is faster, rounding you up, Sam's hand slipping from your grasp as he shuts the front door right in your face, cutting you away from Sam, Tara and Chad. The door starts shaking from the force of Sam's efforts, but you know it's useless - she made sure nothing could get through that door when they moved in. You duck when the robed figure slashes at you, nipping your shoulder. Mindy shouts something about knives from the kitchen and runs up to clock Ghostface with a knife holder, throwing him off his feet. Anika tugs you back into Quinn's room and you stumble on her body, almost falling into a puddle of blood, but Mindy is right there on your other side, shoving you behind the door and quickly locking it.
The three of you lean on the door, feet planted firmly on the floor as Ghostface tries to knock it down. The hinges squeak from the force, dust falling on your shoulders as you pant heavily, thinking of a way out. You look around the room, trying to find some sort of weapon, but the only thing somewhat fitting your requirements is a bedside lamp, glowing mockingly with a pinkish hue. The rattling stops, and your panic increases tenfold. Your eyes land on Mindy's, her face growing pale as she looks at something over your shoulder before she forces you back and throws herself at the bathroom door with a scream.
The dark figure easily throws the door open, slicing her bicep to the bone. The girl falls to the floor, clutching the deep cut, unaware of the hand raised over her head, ready to land the final blow. Anika launches herself at the killer, kicking and screaming, as you dart for the fucking lamp, clutching it in your sweaty palm, ready to knock the hooded person unconscious. You turn around just in time to see your friend's stomach being sliced open, a guttural scream ripping from her throat.
She falls to the ground and you swing the lamp as hard as you can, sending Ghostface back to the bathroom and snapping the door shut right in his face. You sit, propped against the door, frantically looking around for something to block it with. Mindy presses down on Anika's stomach, there's so much blood it's going to make you sick.
You turn away, blinking back tears, your eyes landing on the dresser.
"Mindy," you croak, "Mindy we need to prop it against the door." She looks at you, then at the dresser and back to Anika, who nods, schooling her features.
You move in tandem, you still holding the door, with Ghostface now trying to knock it down, and her pushing the dresser firmly against the door. You sag once it's in place, picking up on distant shouts.
"Y/n!" Sam calls from the window across, a leader clutched between her and Danny. You let out a relieved laugh, securing the ladder on the windowsill. "That's it, baby, now come here," she urges, a desperate look in her eyes.
You shake your head, looking back at Mindy and Anika, and at the shaking door. "They're injured, Sam. They'll go first." She looks like she wants to protest, but relents once she sees the look in your eyes.
"Just one at a time," Danny speaks up.
You nod before turning back and taking a place on the floor, gently pressing down on Anika's wound, your hands turning red mere seconds later. You fight the urge to gag, looking at your friends through the tears. "You first, Mindy."
Mindy looks up, scandalized. "I'm not leaving her," she gritts.
"M-Mindy," Anika whimpers, clutching your wrists.
"No."
"You'll get there quick and I'll be right behind you, o-okay?" The girl stutters, pleading with her eyes.
"Then you go first," Mindy sniffles, "I'll hold it steady and wait till you get across."
You close your eyes, your whole body jostling from the force of Ghostfaces efforts. Your friend is losing more and more blood, coating the floor and your clothes, making you shudder. Sam starts shouting again, screaming for one of you to finally go. You look at Mindy, whispering, "You have to go."
"I'll just s-slow you down. Just go, please, just g-go." Anika begs, tears rolling down her face. Mindy nods resolutely and you look away, giving them some resemblance of privacy as they share a heartfelt kiss.
Mindy grabs your collar, forcing you to look at her when they're done. "You get her out, understand?"
You nod, watching as she looks at her girlfriend one last time and hurries to the ladder, hesitantly climbing on.
"You'll go next," Anika whispers, closing her eyes.
Your head whips back, eyes wide as you look at your friend's pale face. "I'm not fucking leaving you, An. We stick together, remember?"
She chuckles humorlessly, the sound turning into a wheeze. "I don't want you d-dying with me."
You swallow back a sob, knowing that the open wound is looking worse with each passing second, her fingers so weak she can barely hold onto your hand, let alone a ladder.
She looks like she knows what you're thinking about, smiling gently. "I'll h-hold him off. I still have some fight in me."
You shake your head, blinking back tears, and look out the window to see Mindy's almost halfway to the other side. You think and think and think, because there has to be something, there must be a way. There's probably some sort of weapon in Sam's room, but you're not sure if you'll make it back in time or if you'll be able to fight off Ghostface. You can feel the door almost give out, crossing out the options of just staying there and waiting for the police to arrive.
Anika pushes your hands away and you blink back at her. "Go," she whispers, fighting back tears. "We b-both know I won't make it across that ladder."
You shake your head, realization dawning on you. "The front door," you mutter, "An, it's locked from the inside! And that fucker won't even hear you through all that noise. You can make it to the elevators. You can!"
She freezes, eyes darting between the door and the window, you can see a glimpse of hope appear. "I can," she nods, "but what about you?"
You swallow. "I'll hold him off and go for the ladder when he breaks down the door. I promise, I'll get out."
She looks like she wants to argue, but Mindy's triumphant shout as she finally lands on the floor makes her nod quietly. You don't have time to argue, you both know it.
"Anika!" Mindy urges and you can hear Sam cursing loudly.
The wounded girl nods solemnly and pads to the door that leads to the hallway, unlocking it quietly.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Mindy yells.
Sam doesn't say anything and shoves Mindy out of the way, ready to climb the goddamn ladder, Danny holding her back by her shoulders.
"No!" You shout, looking back to see Anika already in the hallway. "Anika's going and I'm next. Trust me, please."
Sam looks at you, a silent question in her eyes, you shake your head, hoping she'll listen. She sags. "Okay."
You exhale in relief, turning to watch Anika as she trudges through the living room, back aching from continuing shoves.
Minutes tickle by, Mindy disappears from view to go to the living room, watching her girlfriend through the window. You hold on, heels of your feet firmly on the floor, but you can already feel your strength starting to slip.
Anika is nowhere to see, so you turn to Sam, a question on your tongue.
"You can go now," she nods. "C'mon, babe, hurry." She stretches one arm out, the other holding the ladder tightly. Danny is by her side, pushing all of his weight to their end of the ladder.
You get up and run for the window, the dresser now pushed against the wall, the door wide open. Your foot slips on the windowsill, but you manage to hold on, all of your body now on the ladder, looking down at the street below. You start trembling violently, now understanding why Mindy took so long to get across. Sam's eyes are on you the whole time and when you finally look up she offers an encouraging nod, jaw clenched in concentration as she watches your every move.
Her eyes land on something behind you and you freeze, hair on the back of your neck standing up. You don't have to look back to know Ghostface is standing there, but you still do, ignoring Sam's yelling and the tremble in your arms. He stands there, motionless, head tilted in silent curiosity. The ladder squeaks, and your sweaty palms make your grip slip, but you hold on, looking at the killer.
There's a dull sound just outside the apartment that makes him look back at the door and then at you again. His head tilts to the other side as he puts on a show of counting each of you, five fingers up, curling them one by one after he points at you, then Sam, Danny and finally Mindy. He looks at the only finger left, his pinky, and shakes his head in mock disappointment.
"No," you breath out, already climbing back.
He raises a hand, waving you goodbye playfully, gloved fingers wiggling around the sharp knife.
"Get here right now!" Sam shouts, halfway out of the window, but you're out of her grasp. "What the fuck are you doing?!"
You shake your head again, stumbling back inside Quinn's room as the ladder falls down to the street below, Sam's screams filling your ears as you run after Ghostface.
"Anika!" You shout when the elevator is finally in sight, Anika holding on to the railing and Ghostface slipping inside.
You run at full speed, but you still don't make it in time, doors sliding closed as he buries the knife deep into her chest, making you run flat into the metal, Anika's screams echoing through the apartment building. You wipe away your tears and turn for the stairs, jumping five at a time as you make it down to the first floor. You see the back door fall shut after a figure runs out, panic overtaking as you finally face the elevator.
You've never seen that much blood in your life. The walls are covered in splashes of red, the floor just a puddle of dark liquid. Anika wheezes, choking on her blood. You fall to your knees beside her, afraid to touch her fragile body, cuts and stabs littering her torso. Your vision blurs. You don't even know which wound to press on, all of them gushing with blood. In the end you press your palms to the deep cut on her chest, sobbing when more blood starts spilling from other gashes.
She gathers the last of her strength and grips the hem of your shirt. "T-thank you," she wheezes, more blood trailing down her chin.
"What?" You breathe out, choking. "It's my fault. I should've made you climb that fucking ladder."
"I- I would've f-fell." She takes a shallow breath. "Brains a-all over the s-street." She grimaces, gripping you tighter. "This way I get to be with my f-friend for the… for the last time." She smiles, eyes growing hazy and unfocused before they fall shut, her chest no longer rising with ragged breaths.
You wail, desperately shaking her body, begging her to open her eyes. You center your hands on her chest and start pressing to the beat of fucking Stayin' Alive. You follow the steps that have been drilled into your brain on one of the courses you took, pinching Anika's nose and breathing into her mouth, waiting to see the rise of her chest. You repeat it again and again and again, hitting her chest with full force in a hopeless attempt at bringing her back to life.
Arms circle around your shoulders, your body immobilized by a person behind you. You try to throw them off, pushing with your elbows, Anika's unmoving chest the only thing you see.
"Stop," Sam croaks, pulling you against her chest.
"Get off me!" You scream. "I need to- I need-" you sob, uselessly falling back into her arms. She drags you away from the elevator, EMTs immediately rushing in. You turn in her hold, staining her with Anika's blood as she holds you close, blinking back her tears and whispering reassurances into your ear.

You were never particularly religious, but in moments like these, when everything was calm and you were in the arms of the person you loved most in the world, you truly felt like you were in heaven.
Soft snores reaching your ears and a warm, slow breath on your neck had become your favorite alarm clock. It was worth waking up earlier just to have the sight of your girlfriend peacefully sleeping beside you, in one of those rare moments when her expression wasn't burdened with worries and a sense of alertness.
Moving slowly to avoid waking her up, you raised your arm to her sculpted face and brushed some strands of hair aside, wanting to get a complete view of Sam's face. The way the sunlight seeped through a crack in the curtain illuminated Sam perfectly, giving you a breathtaking sight.
Samantha Carpenter was the greatest work of art you had ever seen. A face like a Botticelli painting, a body like a Michelangelo sculpture, a voice like a siren's song, and a heart kept like a precious jewel.
Your thoughts spoke louder, and you allowed yourself to gently slide a finger over the soft skin of the bridge of the woman's nose, finding it adorable when she involuntarily wrinkled her nose in response. You enjoyed being able to take pride in recognizing Sam's subtle signs, having carefully studied her reactions throughout the early stages of your relationship. This allowed you to notice certain things, like the change in the rhythm of her breathing, even if she pretended to still be asleep.
"Darling?" You whispered as softly as you could, just in case you had misread your analysis and your girlfriend was actually asleep.
But soon your theory was proven correct when Sam let out a husky grunt and hugged your torso with both arms, trapping you in a grip that honestly didn't bother you at all. She shifted in bed until she rested her head on your chest, releasing a sigh of contentment when satisfied with the proximity.
You gave a small smile and began playing with her hair without thinking too much. Some time ago, at the beginning of the relationship, you used to wonder if Sam would ever let you get close for real. Now, you knew that no one who knew her would believe you if you said the older Carpenter was like a cuddly kitten that complained if she wasn't touching you at every possible minute.
The peaceful silence was interrupted for a moment by a loud complaint from Sam's stomach, who quickly moved to bury her face in the crook of your neck. "No," she spoke firmly but with a voice laden with playfulness and drowsiness.
"No, what?" You laughed, letting her get more comfortable beside you, even if it meant she was two steps away from being on top of you.
Sam lifted her head just enough for her voice not to be muffled. You couldn't see her face clearly due to the position, but you could identify her still-closed eyes. "You were going to suggest getting up for breakfast. My answer is no."
"But, darling..." You laughed again, amused at how a just-awakened Sam was practically a stubborn child. "You're hungry, aren't you? I can go make a quick breakfast and come back to be with you."
Your girlfriend made a protesting noise and held you tighter in her arms, as if you were planning to escape at any moment. Of course, you weren't going to complain, after all, there was no more perfect place in the world than Sam's arms. She shook her head slightly. "You're forbidden to leave. We'll cook something later, together."
"Forbidden?" You chuckled. "By whom, exactly?"
"By me, your amazing girlfriend."
You laughed a bit more and decided to gently stroke Sam's scalp, feeling the woman slowly soften under your touch again. That had to be one of your greatest achievements—the fact that Sam trusted you so much to allow herself to be vulnerable, even if it didn't come naturally to her anymore.
She shifted a bit more, this time wrapping her legs around yours. "I could do this for the rest of my life, you know?"
Vulnerability and even a hint of embarrassment shone through Sam's voice, and although you couldn't see her face completely, you could see a part of her cheek starting to turn red. Adorable, you would say.
"Hold onto me like a koala?" You teased, feeling her lightly pinch your arm in retaliation. She muttered a curse in Spanish, and the warm breath from her mouth hit a sensitive area of your neck, sending a shiver down your spine.
Fortunately (or unfortunately), Sam seemed too sleepy to notice your reactions and tease you back. Instead, she spoke again slowly, as if sharing a huge secret. "No, idiot. This. Waking up with you by my side, every day."
"Oh." You responded with great eloquence, feeling your entire body heat up and butterflies flutter in your stomach as if you were the protagonist of a teenage romance. Sam wasn't one to express love with words much, but when she did, you could barely contain yourself from looking like a smitten fool. "I could do that forever too. Truly become your family."
Your trembling voice betrayed how much you had wanted to have this kind of conversation for a while, even if you were leaving the actual meaning implicit. Still, you knew Sam would understand what you were trying to say.
"You already are family. We don't need to get married for that." She spoke, but soon realizing how her words sounded a bit harsh, she moved back a bit and locked eyes with you, your faces just a few inches apart. "Not that I don't want to get married! I do. Someday. But you don't have to wait until then to feel like part of the family."
Once again, a small party seemed to settle inside you with Sam's words and the sight of her in front of you, her face flushed with shyness and the admission that she envisions a future with you. Taking advantage of the closeness, you cupped her face with one hand. "Thank you. It means a lot to me."
You're welcome. The words hung implicitly in the air as she turned her face just enough to kiss the palm of your hand. Sam's brown eyes were still small due to sleepiness, but they already sparkled like the most beautiful jewel you had ever seen. You felt very lucky.
Seizing the opportunity, you decided to delve a bit further into the subject. "Would you like to expand this family with me? In the future, of course."
Sam squirmed a bit, and you knew she was reluctant to think about that answer. You started to gently stroke her jaw with your thumb, trying to calm her and convey the message that you would be okay with whatever answer she gave.
"I kinda already have three kids, you know?" She said with humor, and you opened a smile in response. It was true that Sam was very protective of her sister, Tara, and the two twins, Mindy and Chad. You could see how much she cared for them and how hard she worked to make sure she could provide some of the things they liked.
"Oh yes, how could I forget?" You replied still humorously, and you were ready to let the subject drop there, not wanting to pressure your girlfriend into anything. However, Sam seemed not to have finished her train of thought.
She bit her lip, looking hesitant. "It's just that... I don't have the best history with my parents, as you know. And I don't have the best overall history, damn, I don't even have a degree, and..."
"Hey, hey. One step at a time, okay?" You reassured her, placing a kiss on her forehead that made her release a relieved sigh. "Firstly, you're not like your parents, no matter what you think. Secondly, it's not too late to start college if that's what you want."
"No, it's not possible." Sam shook her head, looking away to your collarbone with some shame. "I have to work to pay for the apartment rent and also support me and Tara. I don't have time for that."
You frowned and held the Carpenter's chin, making her look at you. Even embarrassed, Sam could still be intimidating enough, and her gaze gave you the same feeling of being struck by lightning, as if electricity ran through your veins every time your eyes met. "I could help you if you wanted."
"No. It's not your obli-"
"I'm not being forced to do anything." You cut her off, shaking your head and smiling to show that you were serious. "You know I have a well-paying internship. I could move here, share the bills and a room with you. It would be less burdensome, and you could work just one job and use the rest of the time to study. What do you think?"
Sam seemed to be in an internal battle, looking at you with admiration and trying to fight back the tears that were on the brink of her eyes. She reached out to caress your face. "You don't have to do this."
"I would like to." You reassured her, pulling her closer to envelop her waist in a hug. "Besides, I'd finally get rid of that small dorm and my weird roommate."
Sam scowled, her voice laden with jealousy. "You mean that flirt who's always hitting on you? You know, I'm starting to think it really is a good idea for you to move in, maybe now that bitch will understand that you're taken."
You laughed at Sam's indignation but didn't say anything to disagree. She was right, after all. At the end of the day, you were very well taken, and you were perfectly fine with that. The sunlight streaming into the room through the curtains seemed a bit brighter now, and although you didn't want to burst your bubble of happiness with Sam, you really needed to start preparing for the day ahead.
She seemed to read your mind, as she always did, given the connection between you two, and just nodded in agreement, a sign that she also agreed to get up and shake off the laziness.
In a last moment of calm, Sam approached you and spread small kisses over your chin, cheeks, and forehead, finally stopping at your mouth and kissing you with true love and affection, creating not only a physical connection but also a connection of souls. You embraced the contact, responding to the kiss with the same passion, forgetting about anything else but Sam's lips.
As she pulled away, Sam smiled contentedly. Her hair messy because of the bed, red puffy lips, and eyes with sleep residue didn't prevent you from seeing her as the most beautiful woman you had ever seen on Earth. "I love you," she whispered.
"I love you too." You whispered back, your voice laden with emotion.
You didn't know what to expect from the future, but one thing was certain. Whatever it was, you would have Sam Carpenter, and Sam Carpenter would have you.

secrets I held in my heart
Samantha Carpenter x Reader
Summary: The rules were Sam's idea, she had been demanding on the 'no feelings' part. She wasn't here to be loved, or cared for, or cherished. Yet with every touch of her lips on your body, it felt like she was begging you to do just that.
A/N: I neglected all my other works just to write this. Mentions of smut ahead. <3

Tumblr media
It was 9:23 PM when you heard the knocking on your door.
Today was a Friday, so you didn't need to look in the peephole to know who it was. This has been your routine for over a month.
You were already in your pajamas; a simple pair of shorts and an oversized shirt, and you could see tiny droplets of rain collecting on the windows as you walked up to greet her. You wondered if she'd have an umbrella.
You had your answer when you opened your door. Sam stood in the empty hallway of your apartment, the raindrops on her black jacket were shining under the yellow light; she had her hands stuffed in her pockets, always looking a little out of place right as she arrived. As much as you shouldn't, you were growing fond of her dark eyes and small smiles.
She walked inside quietly and you locked the door behind her — there wasn't a need for words, not really, you both knew what you wanted; why she was there.
The agreement was made with the effect of a few drinks on one night, just the right amount for extra courage and boldness. No feelings, no personal business, no getting attached; that was the deal. It was all about having fun and blowing off some steam without having to worry about the complications that came with a relationship — with being vulnerable.
You had your reasons for it and Sam had hers. It worked.
Until it didn't.
You kissed down her body. Your lips traced a path against her smooth skin, from her neck to her ribs and all the way to the curve of her waist. You always took your time with her, each of your kisses breaking a rule in their wake. You could feel every hitch of her breath each time you touched a sensitive place on her body; it was honestly quite hard to find a place where she wasn't sensitive.
Though you think she likes it slow too, because Sam tends to interrupt you; she'll tug on your intertwined hands and pull you up so she can cup your cheeks. Her kisses were eager but never bruising, you could feel the hotness of her breath lingering on your lips when the hands tangled in your hair kept you close.
She lay underneath you, with the only light illuminating your bedroom coming from the street lamps outside. You could see the outlines of her features, feel the bare skin of her legs whenever she moved.
You couldn't help bringing a hand up, your thumb tracing her lower lip before you leaned in for another searing kiss.
Sam's nails scratched at your back then, bound to leave a few telltales for the morning. She pulled you into her the closer she could manage, gasping into your mouth when your naked chest pressed to hers.
The rules were her idea, she had been demanding on the no feelings part. She wasn't here to be loved, or cared for, or cherished. It was the one thing she made clear she didn't want.
Yet with every touch of her lips on your body, with every breathy moan that slipped past her defenses, and every time her hands pulled you a little closer — it felt like she was begging you to do just that.
You knew part of her story, mostly from the rumors from before and after the Ghostface attacks on New York. Admittedly, you understood why she wouldn't want to allow people close. Though sometimes her loneliness was almost palpable.
So, you took your time with her. And Sam let you, because she cherished every second of it.
The rain had picked up when you gave her the last kiss of the night; the heavy droplets were loud against your windows as they poured down from the sky.
Sam had stolen your shirt. She stood before your window in nothing but her underwear and the faded Bon Jovi shirt you loved, glaring up at the sky as if it would pity her and stop its downpour only for her to get home.
You were sitting cross-legged on your bed, already back in your comfy pajamas. If she happened to stay over, which was quite rare, Sam would be gone in the morning before you woke up. You chewed on your lip, considering what you were about to say. "You know you can stay if you want, wait it out. I don't mind."
Sam glanced at the clock on your bedside table, it read 11:38 PM. She was hesitating; you could see it in the way she pressed her lips tightly together, in the way she bunched up the ends of your shirt in her hands.
Sam got back in your bed silently. She kept a reasonable distance between you two. She didn't look like the same person who had her limbs tangled with yours just a few moments ago.
The air felt electric with tension, with a timidness that shouldn't be there because you knew every curve of her body as if it was your own — yet this felt more intimate than anything else trapped between hot touches and breathless kisses.
You fell asleep first and Sam followed soon after, but not before taking the privileged opportunity to engrave the image of your peaceful features in her mind forever.
The red numbers on your clock read 2:59 AM when you woke up.
An unhappy groan escaped you as you rubbed the sleep from your eyes. First thing you registered in the darkness of your bedroom was that rain was still pouring heavily outside, though aside from that, nothing seemed out of place, and you wondered what had disturbed your slumber.
Then, you felt movement beside you, and you remembered the visitor who stayed.
Sam was breathing heavily, panicked gasps escaping from her lips. She had a soft frown on her eyebrows and cold sweat collecting on her forehead. The grip she had on the bedsheets was nearly ripping the fabric.
Worry tugged at your heartstrings immediately. You sat up, scooting closer to her so you could lay a careful hand on her shoulder, "Sam," you whispered gently, "Sam, wake up, I think you're having a nightmare." You kept talking yet got no reaction from her.
It was only when your fingertips grazed her cheek, that she jolted awake. A strangled gasp got stuck in her throat when her wide eyes locked on you; she clumsily pushed herself away from you, almost falling off the bed.
"Sam, calm down," you scrambled to turn on the bedside lamp so she could see you more clearly, "it's just me," you spoke softly.
The sight of her broke your heart. You've never seen Sam like this. She was breathing so heavily you feared she might hyperventilate, her lower lip quivering with each intake of air; tears were steadily collecting on the bottom lid of her eyes, still wide as she looked around, checking every dark corner of your room.
It took several beats for her to seemingly recognize you, and when she did, she finally sat up properly; dropping her head on her hands when quiet sobs started shaking her body. It sounded as if she was trying to hold them back, as if she didn't mean for you to see it.
You moved closer then, one of your arms coming around her shoulders. It was uncharted territory, something that wasn't meant to happen.
"Sam," yet you spoke as if you'd loved her for a long time, "it's okay, you're okay." Your lips met the fabric of your shirt on her shoulder and you laid a kiss there, squeezing her body to yours, "you're okay, I'm here for you."
That was enough to break through the rest of the barriers Sam had built around her heart, because she turned to you and hid her face in the crook of your neck. Her arms circled around your waist and her fingers curled around the fabric of your pajama shirt desperately, as if you could slip her grasp any moment.
You brought your other hand to the back of her head, burying your fingers through her hair. She melted into you.
The tears rolling down her cheeks dampened your shirt, but you couldn't find it in yourself to mind; all you cared about was holding her for as long as she needed.
And you wondered just how long it had been since someone was willing to do that for her.
Sam was the one who pulled away first, and she didn't meet your eyes as she did so. She quickly dried off the remaining tears. You could still see the shaking of her hands.
Figuring she could use at least a few moments alone, you got up from the bed and walked to the kitchen. The wooden floor was cold on your bare feet as you waited for the glass to fill with water.
When you came back to your bedroom, Sam's eyes were already following your every move. Though there was a shyness there that was new. She felt bare in front of you, more than she'd ever been before.
You sat back down quietly, extending the glass of water towards her.
Sam took it from you with an unsure tilt of lips. Several beats passed where she just looked at you, there was a mix of sadness, and want, and hesitance in her glinting eyes. "I'm sorry," she eventually mumbled. Her voice was tight, you figured she was one word away from breaking down all over again.
The yellow glow of your bedside lamp highlighted the tear tracks on her cheeks. You knew she wasn't apologizing for tonight. She was apologizing for breaking her own rules.
"Don't be," you told her when you pushed back strands of her dark hair, your touch lingering on her jaw, "because I'm not."
You didn't have much time to prepare for the way Sam reached for the back of your head and pulled you in, her lips colliding with yours as she nearly spilled all the water from the cup she was holding.
When stripes of morning sunlight eventually came in through your window, they highlighted the waves of Sam's hair, the curve of her sleepy smile as she cuddled up to you.
And you kissed her good morning.

Hug me Tighter – Sam Carpenter
Tumblr media
Pairing: sam carpenter x fem!reader
Summary: You’re only trying to make your girlfriend take a nap with you, the fact that it’s in a hospital bed after one of the worst nights of your lives doesn't really matter.
Word count: 1,8k.
Content: post-scream VI, cursing, tooth-pudding fluff, mentions of violence, cuddling, pet names, long dialogues, REALLY soft gfs.
A/N: Damn, this might be the sweetest and cheesy thing I’ve ever written. Could also be an AU, since Anika is alive, or just Scream, if they could actually be happy.
English is not my first language.
You realized that you were waking up at a terribly slow pace, as if everything was suddenly in slow motion and even the smallest movement took hours to run and every second was longer than the previous one. Your body feels heavy and comfortably warm, resting on perhaps the best bed in which you've ever slept. You blinked slowly, failing to keep your eyes open, every movement of your eyelids almost making you fall into unconsciousness again.
Your body shudders with the feeling of a long yawn crossing you and you turn your head to bury your face back in the location and go to sleep again, only to be surprised when you come across hot skin instead of what your brain thought was a really soft pillow. It is only then that you register a movement against your back, light and constant, almost as smooth as your own sleepy state, climbing and descending your spine and enveloping you even more in this security bubble almost supernaturally.
Another weight lies between your neck and your head, right at the point of your wrist and there's another heavier resting on the top of your head, although you're sure of the mess your hair should be right now. Your hands grope and instinctively grab a handful of familiar fabric beneath you, feeling the texture of a sweater you knew very well.
“Sam,” your hoarse voice breaks the silence.
You were tempted to let the darkness and the inviting fog of sleep consume you again as you relaxed and held another yawn, but your resting place vibrated with a low laugh.
“‘M sorry, baby. Did I wake you?”
“Nah,” you denied with a satisfied sigh, sinking against her body.
The chin on your head pulled away and the hand on your back stopped and you immediately missed the contact, finally opening your eyes and lifting your head to protest.
“You're feeling better?”
Sam's question catches you off guard and you pause, staring into your girlfriend's soft brown eyes and raised eyebrow with confusion. Frowning, you finally decide to take a look at the place you are in and come across a messy white room with machines nearby. A hospital room.
The events of the last few hours come back to you in a quick, jumbled flash. The confrontation with the Ghostfaces, the deaths, the police, the ambulance... and the surgery, because of course in addition to all the terror and threats of the last few days you also ended up being stabbed.
Well, that explains why you feel so sluggish then. You're high on drugs. That is, if the IV prick in your arm is any indication.
The hand on the back of your neck moves up towards your face, fingers tracing the contour of your chin and jaw, thumb rubbing soft circles on your cheek, your body relaxes and you lean into her touch, sighing all too contentedly at the affection. The memory of waking up a lot more groggy before and convincing Sam to lay down too when you found her sitting next to the hospital bed holding your hand tightly slowly returning to your hazy mind. She was a little hesitant at first, but it wasn't that difficult to convince her to hold you with the excuse that it would only be for a few minutes. You bet it must have been a few hours already.
“Hm,” you murmured absently, stretching against her, “I’m definitely feeling much better now.”
“That's good,” your girlfriend huffed softly, “I can't feel my legs in this position anymore.”
That caught your attention.
“Am I too heavy?” You ask, lifting your head to examine her for any bruises from the previous fight, “I can move if it’s hurting you.”
“No,” She squeezes you tighter quickly, “I’m good here.”
Sam's own eyes were half-lidded, almost closing over the last few minutes you were asleep, but she refused to give in to the urge to doze off too. It would have been such a waste when she could just hug you and breathe properly for the first time since the last few hellish weeks you've all had.
The TV on the wall had long since been muted, with the image of some random animal documentary flickering in the background. Sam's head rested against the pillows and your body lay happily spread over hers – and she looked perfectly satisfied for someone who had complained and complained about your puppy dog eyes before.
Somewhere between convincing Sam to lie down and pretending to pay attention to the screen, you ended up falling asleep, one of your arms hanging lazily over the side of the bed. Sam realized this instantly, feeling your weight finally relax on her. It made her relax too. Not completely. Sam was never completely relaxed, no matter how tired she was, not anymore, especially not after a night like that. But she managed to feel good enough to enjoy the moment.
The environment was as welcoming as any hospital could be, but her embrace brought a sense of security that lulled you perfectly to sleep and the knowledge that everyone was okay and in the next room allowed Sam to let her guard down. Yet falling asleep and losing that, the feeling that nothing could happen as long as she held you tight and ran her fingers over your warm skin, seeing and hearing every sleepy sound and movement you made – from a tired sigh as you fit, to one of your hands founding the collar of her sweater and grabbing it, holding her close – it would be a waste.
“You sure?” You hesitate, searching her eyes for any hint of hidden discomfort.
Sam sighs, nodding: “You wouldn’t believe how comfortable I am right now.”
“Okay then,” you rest your ear on her chest, feeling her head nod and her heart bumping, still a little high. A yawn crosses your lips, “But let me know if you need me to move.”
She hums in response and you fall into a comfortable silence for a while, the sound of machines running and your soft breaths in the same rhythm left you trying your hardest not to fall asleep again until you felt your girlfriend's chest vibrate beneath you again in a barely contained laugh.
“You’re cute when you’re tired.”
“Huh?” you muttered, lifting your drooping head and finally refocusing your vision on her.
“I should probably get up now, let you get some rest.” Sam said, reluctantly removing her arms from you so she could move away.
You shook your head, grabbing one of her hands and letting them fall to the side of the bed, swinging freely in the air.
“No, I’m good here.” You echoed, denying nonchalantly. You let your head find a place on her neck, making her lie back against the pillows.
Sam sighed against you slowly, much more out of satisfaction – and relief – than annoyance at your insistence, returning to the task of running her fingers down your back until you spoke again.
“Where’s Tara?” You ask, voice muffled by the face buried in her neck, “And the twins?”
“They're watching Anika.” She responds and you get alarmed, before Sam reassures you, “She's gonna be alright, she just needs to stay in the hospital for a while longer. And also a lot of rest. Like you, by the way.”
“I am resting.”
If Sam hadn't been fighting sleep for over an hour now, she would have a wide, stupid grin plastered on her face at the sound of your indignant mumble. Since that wasn't the case, she contented herself with a small smile.
“Whatever you say, amor.”
She surrenders, completely this time, without any more false attempts to leave. Sam felt as if you were the one rocking her and not the other way around, as if nothing else could touch her, even for a little while. There were no worries about horrible jobs, breakdowns in therapy, pressure with college exams and much less paranoia about the existence of cinematic serial killers. Nothing else could exist in your – literal – white room. Just the two of you in that small bed.
Each synchronized breath of your chest next to hers pressed her own ribs, the delicate breath sending delicious shivers down her spine and making her completely aware of how close your bodies were and shocking her at how it still didn't feel close enough.
“I love you,” she says. Rasped, you barely hear it. “I love you so freaking much that sometimes I just want to drown into your chest and curl up between your ribs, with your heart.” She takes a breath, then pauses, hesitantly: “...Is that too weird?”
“...Well,” you gasp, heart completely racing against your ears, “No weirder than what we already go through on a daily basis, I guess.”
Sam groaned at your response, feeling like a lovesick teenager in one of the movies Tara and Mindy love to make fun of. Rambling poetically about her passion.
But, screw it, that's exactly what she is, right? Sam thought. Let her have it. She deserves it.
(Her therapist would definitely pat her on the back for that thought.)
Unlike what Sam thought she should feel with the realization of that thought, her heart didn't skip a beat uncomfortably, her hands didn't get sweaty and cold with the doubt of how to deal with this. It kept pounding in that same slow, steady, familiar rhythm, with one of the most precious and loved people of her life completely aware of how she felt.
“I feel like drowning into your chest all the time too.”
Her favorite place in the world was anywhere you were together and it was physically impossible to be closer than that at the moment, although she wouldn't give up trying.
It was pure and simple happiness. Warmth and security that captured her stomach and left it churning with what felt like a million bubbles popping simultaneously.
When you first came to her life and Sam realized being falling for you, she thought her love would swallow her. That it would be something she would keep to herself until it exploded. You seemed to have made it your mission to prove her otherwise.
“I didn’t say ‘all the time’ tho.”
Here you were, together and fine.
“Oh, shut up.”
Your grip on Sam's hand tightened in very bad feigned irritation and when you rose quickly to give her a kiss, your girlfriend burst into laughter and your lips hit her strong jaw instead.
“That tickles, baby.”
“I was shooting for your lips, but you moved.” You simply shrugged, leaning into her again and this time she met you on the way, a stupid smile growing between you and breaking the kiss too soon. You lay back down and Sam took a long breath, leaving one last kiss on your forehead.
This time, when her head feels heavy and droops from sleep, Sam does nothing to stop it, letting the feeling finally consume her.
Nothing, not even in her most vivid fantasies, had ever been so perfect.
And if by chance Tara ends up sending Sam a photo of the two of you napping the next day when everyone is getting ready to go home and it becomes the new wallpaper on her phone, well… that's nobody's business.

Street lights flickered as storm clouds gathered on the horizon, an angry rumble echoing off the buildings. The streets were completely empty, which was out of the ordinary for that time of night, seeing as it was the city that never sleeps.
It was around one in the morning, the sky being pitch black and you had just finished your shift at work. The faint sound of raindrops and the odd crunch of glass underfoot was all that was heard as you made your way home.
The rain started to pick up which made you quicken your pace. Walking up the stairs to the fourth floor and along a hallway, you reached your apartment, one that you shared with Sam and Tara.
Hurriedly, you grabbed the house keys from your pocket and opened the front door. Letting out a sigh as your back hit the door as it closed, you were finally home. You kicked off your shoes and placed your coat upon the hanger.
The apartment was silent apart from the faint sound of the tv playing in the background. Looking to your right, you saw plates and cups littering the coffee table as well as hearing soft snores coming from the sofa.
You made your way further into the living room and spotted Tara sleeping soundly, occasionally getting a shiver ripple through her body.
A small smile made its way onto your face at the look of Sam’s younger sister, she finally looked content and you hated the fact that you had to break it.
You crouched in front of the sofa, gently moving Tara’s hair out of her eyes as you softly woke her up.
Tara opened her eyes slowly, lazily bringing up a hand to rub her eyes as she tried to shake off her sleepiness.
“Hey,” you whispered, rubbing a hand up and down her arm, “come on sleepyhead, let's get you to bed.”
Still in a sleepy haze, Tara nodded and groggily got up. You followed her to her room, making sure she was alright before walking back to the living room.
You turned the tv off, picking up the plates and cups that were scattered around the room. You threw all the rubbish into the bin and began to do the washing up.
As you were half way through cleaning, you heard sounds of shuffling coming towards you. Moving your head to the side, you watched as Sam padded into the kitchen, her face was blotchy as if she had been crying.
Sam stopped in her tracks when she saw you, her fingers tugging at the sleeves of her- your jumper, suddenly feeling very vulnerable.
Your heart seemed to crack at the sight of her, the person who was always so strong for her sister, for you, seemed to be breaking at the seams.
You had completely forgotten the cleaning up, Sam taking over your mind as you dried off your hands and pulled her further into the kitchen.
Sam trudged after you, her hand sitting loosely in yours. You wordlessly patted the top of the counter, telling Sam to sit there whilst you rummaged around in the cupboards.
You pulled some hot chocolate powder from the cupboard and put the kettle on to boil, taking two cups and placing them on the side.
As you poured Sam’s hot chocolate, you finally let yourself take in her appearance. It was a mystery to you how she could be so gorgeous even with tear marks on her cheeks.
Her hair was tied up in a bun, a few strands clinging onto her forehead and neck as her eyes followed you around the kitchen.
Handing the mug to Sam, she let out an appreciative hum after the first sip, warmth and sweetness flooding her body.
“You wanna talk about it?” You questioned, your voice just above a whisper as you placed your cup to the side.
“Not really.” Sam replied, her voice cracking as she tightened her grip on the mug.
You placed a comforting hand on her thigh, feeling as she tensed up under your touch. Sighing to yourself, you gave her a tight lipped smile, knowing she wasn’t in the mood to talk before continuing with the washing up.
As soon as your hand left Sam’s thigh, she missed the warmth that had encompassed her body.
Sam averted her gaze to the floor, her fingers ghosting the rim of her cup which was now empty.
She jumped off the counter top and stood behind you, contemplating on what to do for a minute until she turned you around and pulled you into a hug.
Shocked at the sudden movement, you stood there stunned as she hugged you, using all her force to bring you as close as possible. She buried herself into you, hot tears rolling down her cheeks and wetting your shirt.
“I keep having the same dream.” Sam sniffled, her voice raw as it broke towards the end. “And I- I can’t seem to shake it.”
You wrapped your arms around her, one around her waist and the other cradling her head. The two of you swayed together, Sam’s sobs never ceasing.
“That’s all it is though, Sam.” You said quietly, pulling her off you so you could look in her eyes. “It’s only a dream.”
“I just wish it would all go away.” Sam said, looking between your eyes, her bottom lip quivering.
“I know.” You sighed, your heart heavy as you pulled her back into your embrace. “If I could take away your pain, I would. You know I would.”
Sam sucked in a sharp breath, the feeling of it all finally crashing down on her and she couldn't take it.
“It’s all too much, I just want to be normal.”
“You are, Sam.” You said, a frown forming on your face at her thoughts. “Don’t think like that.”
The warmth of your body and the gentle pressure of your arms created a cocoon of safety that enveloped Sam.
Her heart, which had been racing with fear due to her nightmare just moments before, began to slow down as she breathed in and let the tension in her shoulders melt away, feeling herself surrender to the moment.
“Come on, let’s get you to bed.” You whispered, slowly pulling out of her embrace.
“Can I- can I stay with you tonight?” Sam asked, staring down at her feet.
“Of course.” You smiled, rubbing your hands up and down her arms comfortingly.
The two of you walked to your room where the sound of raindrops tapped against your window, the occasional flash of lightning illuminating the sky.
You were quick to change out of your work clothes and into something more comfortable, crawling into your bed beside Sam.
Your shoulders brushed together and you opened your arm to her, allowing for her to get closer to you.
Sam smiled, tucking herself under your arm with a little hesitation. Her cheek rested just above your heart, the steady beating calming her down.
The two of you laid in silence, the sound of raindrops hammering on your window created a sense of tranquillity amidst the storm outside.
The two of you enjoy being in each other’s presence without having to say a word.
You looked down at Sam, unknowingly making your way closer to one another and you could soon feel Sam’s breath against your lips.
You reached your hand down to Sam’s face, gently, you raised your hand to cup her cheek, your thumb softly traced along her cheekbone.
Sam’s eyes fluttered shut as she leaned into your touch. A small smile adorning her face.
Sam didn’t know what had come over her and with a small but impulsive movement, her lips were on yours.
As Sam’s lips met yours in a soft, gentle kiss, she felt all of her fears and doubts melt away.
She savoured the sensation of your lips moving against hers, struck by how perfectly they fit together, like two puzzle pieces finally coming together.
Your body tingled with electricity as she pressed closer to you. A shiver ran down your spine as she hummed into your mouth.
You pulled away softly for a breath of air, and Sam chased your lips with hers, kissing you softly once again.
“Sam.” You breathed, her forehead pressed against yours. “What are we doing?”
“I- I don’t-”
You let the seconds go by without saying a word and Sam almost wanted to run away. That was until you gave her a soft smile, pulling her into you once more.
“You’re telling Tara.” You mumbled, pressing your lips back on hers.
Sam’s heart was practically pumping out of her chest when you pulled away for the last time. She melted into your hold, her body on top of yours as her arms wrapped around your waist.
You intertwined your fingers, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head causing Sam to sink further into your embrace.
And in that moment, Sam had never felt more safe.

Warning(s): canon typical violence, mentions of death, mentions of blood, mostly fluff surprisingly
Word count: 4k words
Request: Sam and reader have gotten extremely close since moving to NYC and living in the same apartment, but when news of Ghostface attacks happening in New York. Sam pushes Reader away, thinking if she pushes her away, she'll be safe and alive. But, when reader is at Gale's apartment, (Dewey was her uncle) She's attacked by Ghostface instead of Gale, Sam and Tara show up to see reader bleeding out in Gale's arms. (She doesn't die) ask
A/N: I changed Dewey being Y/N’s uncle to father basically because it adds more drama to the story
masterlist
You had been living in New York with your mother ever since your parents’ divorce, having left behind the small town you had grown up in, and were ready to forget all about your father’s untimely death at the hands of a psychopath.
That was how you met Tara Carpenter, or more accurately, how you reunited with her.
Before your parents started arguing over the smallest thing, before your father quit his job, before you left town one day crying, you had been friends with Tara. You liked her because, unlike the rest of your classmates, she didn’t stare at you because you were Dewey and Gale’s daughter. She simply liked spending time with you, and you with her, which blossomed into a fast friendship that was sure enough cut short.
You were the best of friends, always hanging out. Sometimes, when your father came to pick you up from school, he would let you and Tara sit in the back of his police car and turn on the sirens, pretending you were dangerous criminals. You would cling onto Tara, giggling as your father joked around; you cherished those moments more than anything now that Dewey was simply a memory— a tombstone you couldn’t look at without crying.
That was exactly the reason why you reached out to Tara when your mother told you she had moved in with her sister, just like her wanting to leave behind that nightmare. She had happily agreed to meet with you, and you soon found yourself at a bar, drinking and talking, catching up with everything. She had pointedly left behind all that happened in Woodsboro, and you silently agreed, not wanting to remember your father, dead on the ground thanks to her friend. You had spent hours like that, phones on the table face-down so no one could interrupt you, and that was how you met Sam.
Sam was a blurry image to you. You could remember Tara mentioning her probably a little too much when you were young, always talking about how great her sister was at a certain sport, or how she had helped her defeat that big mean guy on a videogame because she couldn’t do it. You had never met her, however, because you barely went over to Tara’s, your mother prefering to keep a watchful eye on you just in case. You didn’t get much of a chance, however, because she left one day and suddenly all the loud praise was occupied by awkward silence.
Needless to say, you weren’t sure what to think of Sam, but she made up your mind for you pretty easily. She walked into the bar like she owned it, a tall figure clad in just a jacket that almost ran towards your table when her brown eyes landed on Tara.
“Sam?” Tara asked, leaving her glass of coke on the table to get up. “Did something happen?”
“Who are you?” Sam asked, not even looking at Tara to give her answer. You felt small under her intense stare.
“She’s Y/N,” Tara said, harsher than you expected. “An old friend.” Sam gave you another look, as if her eyes were enough to determine if you were a danger to her sister. You stayed still, as if you were being approached by a lion.
“We’re leaving,” Sam said. Tara gave you an apologetic look, and you simply nodded, watching as she got up and followed her sister. Outside, you saw them arguing, their screams almost sneaking in through the thick walls of the bars. You asked for the tab, thankful that your mother was rich.
What a bitch, you thought, shaking your head as you left the place, walking back towards your mother’s apartment.
A few hours later, Tara texted you to apologize, and once you replied she sent you her address, asking you to come over.
Having nothing better to do, you accepted.
━━━ • 𖥸 • ━━━
“I’m so sorry,” Tara said, as soon as she closed the door. You took off your jacket, looking around before you sat down on the sofa Tara had pointed at.
“It’s okay,” you said, accepting the glass of water she handed you.
“God, I can’t stand her,” she said, throwing herself onto the sofa beside you. “She’s been like that ever since—” she gave you a small look before shaking her head. “You know. She’s so overbearing.”
“I get it,” you said, resting the glass on the coffee table. “I mean, you should’ve seen my mom when I was young. She barely let me go out when we moved here.”
Something like recognition crossed her eyes. “Right,” she said, sitting up. “Your mom’s Gale.”
“Yep,” you nodded, intertwining your hands together. “You guys killed the new ghostface together.” Something dark crossed over Tara’s face at the name, and you knew you had said the wrong thing.
“Yeah,” Tara said, voice sounding distant even though she was beside you. “Yeah, we did.”
“You know what?” You said, trying to cheer her up. “Forget about that. Tell me what’s your favorite artist.” Tara smiled, nodding as she turned to look at you. She opened her mouth at the same time the front door was opened.
“Oh.”
You turned to look at the woman, awkwardly standing by the door. For the looks of it, she was about to bolt from the apartment.
“You,” Tara said accusingly, rising from the sofa. She poked her sister in the chest with her index finger, and it was your time to wish you could leave this place. You couldn’t deal with family drama; you had had enough of it in your childhood.
“Me,” Sam said, allowing Tara to push her further into the apartment and close the door, leaving her no chance but to take the reprimand.
“Yes, you,” Tara said. You opened your eyes in surprise when she pointed at you. “You are going to apologize immediately to my friend for embarrassing her.”
“You’re the one embarrassing her now—”
“Samantha,” Tara said. It was funny to see the tall woman being bossed around by her sister, who was almost a head shorter. “You apologize right now.”
Sam looked into her sister’s eyes, and nodded. She turned to look at you, and you swallowed. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay,” you said, offhandedly. “Don’t worry. I get it. My mom is even worse with people she doesn’t know.”
Sam nodded, and made a noise of complaint when Tara slapped her arm. “Her mom’s Gale.”
She opened her eyes, understanding crossing her face. “Shit,” she said, looking defeated. “I didn’t know.”
“It’s okay,” you repeated. “Really. My mom doesn’t mention me too much to strangers just in case. You couldn’t have known.”
“I’m going to my room,” Tara said. You gave her an indignant look. “Sam, apologize.”
“I already apologized!” Sam called. Tara didn’t look her way, instead turning and leaving, presumably towards her bedroom.
“Well, do it again!” She screamed as she slammed the door shut.
“As cheerful as I remember her,” you said, not sure how to fill the awkward silence.
“What?” Sam asked.
“Tara,” you clarified. “She used to be like that when she was young too. Good to know some things never change.”
“You— oh,” Sam said. You smiled at the look of recognition.
“Y/N Riley-Weathers,” you said, getting up. “I know, it’s a mouthful. My mom insisted I should have both last names.”
Sam smiled, nodding. “Right,” she said. “You mom is— interesting.”
“She’s a bit of a bitch,” you said. “Don’t get me wrong, I love her, but when it comes to her job… I’m surprised she hasn’t interviewed you for her new book yet.”
“She’s writing another book?” Sam asked, sitting down on one of the chairs of the dining table.
“She’s always writing another book,” you said, reaching towards your jacket, which Tara had left on the table. “Well, apology accepted. I’ll leave now.”
“Wait,” Sam called, getting up. “I really don’t want you to get the wrong idea about me.”
“Well, you sure have made quite the impression,” you said.
“I know,” Sam said. “It’s just… Tara wasn’t answering the phone, for hours, and I saw an ambulance on my way out from work and I just… I thought she was gone.”
You smiled softly, understanding washing over you. The image of Dewey crossed your mind, always watching over you, keeping you safe no matter what. You had hated it back then, but now he wasn’t here anymore, you missed him and his protective nature more than anything. “I get it,” you said. “Really. But you should approach it differently. Tara is kinda headstrong on being her own person.”
“I know,” Sam said, sighing. “I just can’t help it.”
“It’s something you have to work on,” you said. “You ought to be a little bit messed up after what happened.”
“You saw the news, then?”
“Please. I live with the news,” you chuckled. “And if I’m not home in half an hour she’s going to call the police and have them patrol every corner of New York until they find me.”
“You should leave, then,” Sam said as she got up, running a hand through her face. She looked stressed, and tired. You felt sorry she had to go through all that just because of who her father was. “I— I didn’t mean to be rude.”
“I get it,” you said, putting on your jacket. “You’ve been through a lot. You just want to protect your sister.”
Sam looked at you, thankful that even though Tara seemed so focused on not understanding her, at least someone else did. “It’s still not an excuse.”
“No, it’s not,” you agreed, walking to stand in front of her. “How about this?” You moved closer to her, grabbing her jacket to stop her from pulling away. Her eyes were open in surprise at your boldness. “You take me out one day to compensate for your vile actions.”
Sam’s lips revealed a playful smirk as her hands grabbed your waist. The touch was soft, almost unsure since she didn’t know how much you would allow her. “I guess it’s my penitence.”
You hummed, eyes momentarily on her lips before looking up again at her eyes. “Pick me up tomorrow, six o’clock.”
Sam nodded, her hands dropping as soon as you moved away. “Wait!” She called when you began to open the front door. You turned around, giving her a questioning look. “I don’t have your number.”
You smiled, walking towards her. Sam pulled her phone out of her pocket, but you simply kissed her cheek and pulled away. “Ask your sister.”
You left her there, eyes on you as you disappeared through the door.
━━━ • 𖥸 • ━━━
Shortly after that, you two began dating. Tara was a little taken aback at first, the thought of her childhood friend and her sister together disgusting her to the point she made a face whenever she saw the two of you kissing. Thankfully, she got over it quickly, her discomfort shortly turning into excitement. Her sister was happy with someone she approved of, and given that you two were dating, all of Sam’s overprotective tendencies had changed direction and were now aimed at you.
It was perfect, until it wasn’t.
You were staying over, having decided to sleep in Sam’s bedroom after she asked you to; something about it being too late and some news she had read about cabs in New York not being trustworthy (you had rolled your eyes at that because, really, what was trustworthy in New York?) You had barely needed convincing, the thought of her warm bed and her arms, firmly and protectively wrapped around you enough to convince you.
You woke up alone in bed, and went over to check your phone. 06:32. Sam would probably be getting ready for work, judging by the sound of running water coming from the bathroom, so you decided to get up and make breakfast for her and Tara, who would be leaving for college.
You had taken a year off after your father’s funeral, knowing that studying wasn’t exactly what you needed, especially because you were aware you wouldn’t be able to focus on anything. You needed to heal, and thankfully your mother was okay with your decision.
You made toast with eggs and bacon for Sam, and got out a bowl and cereal for when Tara woke up, since she had declared one day she was vegan and didn’t want to “eat murder anymore”, whatever that meant. You got it all ready and smiled when you heard Sam open the bathroom door, going to the kitchen when she smelled the food.
“God, you’re amazing,” Sam said, hugging you from behind. You turned off the stove, moving the food onto a plate. She smelled amazing, the shampoo she used fresh and still clinging to her skin. Though she had dried her hair, it was still a little wet where it connected with your neck, making you giggle.
“I know, right?” You said, leaning into her. You loved how warm she always was, in comparison to your cold skin. “I’m the best girlfriend ever.”
“Indeed,” Sam said against your head, biting your earlobe before kissing your neck. “The bestest of them all.” You giggled again, her breath tickling your skin pleasantly.
“God, it’s not even seven in the morning.”
Sam and you turned around to see Tara, standing in the kitchen with an angry look on her face. She was not a morning person.
“My apologies, Tara dear,” you said, pushing Sam into a chair and putting the plate in front of her. You handed her the cutlery with a kiss on the forehead, smirking when Tara groaned. “You want something with your cereal?”
“I want you to stop making out with my sister everywhere.”
“Hard pass,” you said, moving Sam’s hair to help it get dry faster. “Your sister is obsessed with me.”
“Ugh,” Tara said, pouring in the cereal before drowning it with soy milk. “I should’ve never introduced you two.”
“Our souls would’ve found a way back to each other without your intervention,” you said, resting your chin on top of Sam’s head. The girl smiled, abandoning her knife in favor of holding your hand.
“Gross.”
“You are gross,” Sam said.
“Look who’s talking,” Tara said, giving her sister a mocking look of disgust. “I know what you two get up to in that room of yours.”
“Jesus, Tara,” you said, pulling away to walk towards the living room. “Eat your breakfast and stop talking, will you?”
“Ah, so you don’t deny it.”
“Idiot,” you whispered. You sat down on the sofa, searching for the remote controller. Once you did, you turned the TV on, and sighed when you saw your mother on the screen. “She really doesn’t know what it means to take a break.”
You turned on the volume when you saw she was standing in front of an alley, police tape behind her. Your heart sunk into your stomach when you saw the headline.
“Ghostface is back.”
“Sam,” you called, urgently. You went to check your phone as Sam got up, probably alarmed by the tone of your voice. You finally saw all the notifications from your mother, calling you and asking where you were.
“Honey?” She asked, looking at you with concern. She lowered herself in front of you, eyes examining you to know what was wrong. You pointed at the TV, and once she read the headline she tensed, the hand on your thigh gripping you hard. “No,” she said, breathlessly.
“What is it?” Tara asked, picking up on the mood shift. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the TV, still going over the news.
“I—” Sam said. She looked out of it, face stoic as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing. “I have to go to work.”
“College,” said Tara in the same tone. You watched with concern as the two moved around the house, almost on autopilot, gathering their things and getting ready to leave.
“I’ll see you later, okay?” You said to Sam when you saw her in her work clothes. She nodded, eyes not fully looking at you as she opened the front door Tara had just left through. She shook her head as if to get rid of a haze, and gave you a long kiss.
“I love you,” she said against your lips.
━━━ • 𖥸 • ━━━
But you didn’t see her later, or the next day. When you went over to the apartment, Quinn told you they had gone over to meet with Chad and Mindy, so you went back over to your mother’s house.
She was pushing you away. You knew it, and you hated it. You hated how she was letting this new ghostface get in between you, but you mostly hated how she felt like being with you would put you in danger.
You almost laughed out loud at the thought, there in the middle of the street. As if. Your mother was Gale Weathers, your father Dewey Riley— this shit had been following you way before you met her. But of course, it was Sam. Sweet, caring Sam, who constantly put others first, who always did anything to protect those she loved, even if it meant putting her own life on the line.
Once you were inside the apartment, you sat down in your bed, looking at all the unanswered messages you had sent her the past few days.
Samantha, you wrote, and then deleted. It felt too formal. You typed in a final message before locking your phone, throwing yourself onto the bed.
You weren’t sure when you had fallen asleep, but you were awakened by the sound of the phone line ringing. You groaned, rubbing your eyes as you got up, cursing your mother for still owning one of those. It wasn’t the 90s anymore.
“Hello?”
“Hello, Y/N,” the sound of that voice made your skin run cold. “Wanna play a game?”
“Fuck you.”
“I’m inside your house,” they said in a singsong voice. “Wanna play hot and cold?”

When Sam saw she had gotten a call from Gale, she knew something was wrong.
She had known early that morning when she woke up, something in the pit of her stomach telling her to go to you, to hold you and never let you go. But she couldn’t, not until she figured out who was behind those new attacks. She wouldn’t risk you— she wouldn’t lead that killer right to your doorstep and have you killed because of her. No, she would rather die than put you in that type of danger.
“It’s Y/N,” Gale said urgently, when she answered the phone. “I— I called an ambulance. They’re on their way, but— god.”
Sam had started running towards your apartment the moment your name fell out of your mother’s lips. She pushed people out of the way, barely noticing she was gasping for air, or that Gale was still talking.
“—so much blood,” she said. Sam ran into the gateway, pressing onto the elevator bottom a few times before cursing, deciding to take the stairs instead.
“Is she breathing?” Sam asked. One more floor, one more and she’d be there with you.
“I—” Gale was gasping for air. “I don’t know.”
Sam pushed the door open, thankful it had been left ajar. She didn’t see the blood on the floor, or your mother crying beside you— all she could see was your body, bloody and deadly still.
“Y/N,” she called in a whisper. Gale jumped at the sound of Sam’s phone falling to the ground, knife in hand ready to kill anyone who had dared hurt her daughter. She lowered it at the same time Sam lowered herself on the floor, hands shaking as she grabbed you and held you in her arms. Her fingers clumsily set on your neck, trying to find a pulse like a thirsty man searches for water in the desert. She gasped in relief when she felt it. Slow, a little too slow, but it didn’t matter; your heart was still beating.
“I can’t lose her,” Gale sobbed. “I already lost Dewey, I can’t… not her,” she looked at Sam with pleading eyes; she had never seen your mother so paralyzed with fear. It was an eerie sight.
“You won’t,” Sam said, voice firm. She took off her outer shirt, using it to press onto your biggest wound, which was located on the stomach. “She’s not dying. She’s not.”
Determination washed over, taking with it the leftovers of panic and distress. There would be time for lament and regret later, once you were safely in a hospital bed.
“God,” Gale said when Sam began to raise you. Blood splashed over the carpet, and she almost threw up at the sight.
“You called an ambulance?” Sam asked. She was holding you in her lap, your head falling limply into her shoulder.
“Yes.”
“I’m taking her downstairs,” Sam said. The pressure she was applying on the wound was helping, because it had stopped most of the bleeding. “I’m not fucking waiting until they get their fucking asses up the stairs.”
And so she got up, holding you in her arms. She carefully cradled your head in her neck, making sure it stayed secure so you wouldn’t accidentally hit something and got a concussion. It was the last thing you needed at that moment. She made sure your hands were on your stomach, pressing lightly onto the wound —it was better than nothing.
“You’re not dying on me,” Sam whispered. She was climbing down the stairs, Gale right behind her. “You’re not, okay, baby?” She felt herself getting choked up at the thought. “You’re gonna be okay.”
Shortly after, the ambulance showed up, and Sam ran towards them. She set you down onto the stretcher gently, and pressed onto the wound until one of the paramedics reached over, grabbing her hand and telling her she needed to leave.
She stood where she had been forced to stay, ignoring all the looks she received. It wasn’t until Gale grabbed her by the arm and moved her out of the way that she noticed she had been standing in the middle of the road.
“She’s being taken to the hospital,” she spoke softly. Sam looked at her arms, covered in blood— covered in your blood, and she almost broke down. Instead, she swallowed, putting her hands on her pockets. “I’ll take you there. I picked up your phone,” she pushed it into Sam’s chest, and she grabbed it. Great, the screen was completely broken. “Call your sister and tell her what’s happened. Tell her you’ll meet at the hospital.”
“Okay,” Sam said. Her dull tone almost scared her. She felt drained. “Okay,” she repeated, watching as Gale went to her car and got inside. It took her a few seconds to open the passenger door, and a few too many trying to unlock her phone to call her sister.
All she could think about was you, and getting revenge on what they had done to you.

Your feet padded across your shared apartment floors as you went to the kitchen.
The built-in clock on the oven read 8:50. Sam worked on the other side of the city and she got off of her shift at 8:30. She should be home soon.
You turned towards the refrigerator and opened the door. At least you knew how to cook. You put in your earbuds and put your main playlist on shuffle. You danced along to the beat of various songs as the time passed.
You were finished cooking up a quick meal for yourself just as Sam opened the front door. She heard the melodic humming of your favorite song and your feet tapping to the beat.
She stuck her head in the kitchen and almost chuckled at the sight. You were at the counter, mindlessly scrolling on your phone. Sam wordlessly came up behind you and wrapped her arms around your waist.
“Hey Sam! How was your day?” you turned your head towards her to greet her.
Sam sighed and removed one hand from around your waist to run it through her hair. She bent over slightly and rested her head in the crook of your neck.
“Fucking exhausting,” Sam’s hands strayed under your shirt. She ghosted her fingertips across the smooth surface of your stomach, causing goosebumps to appear.
Your breath hitched slightly each time she would touch a sensitive spot. You moved your hands towards hers and grab them softly, her rough hands creating a vast contrast against you soft ones.
“Sam, I already said i didn’t want to do this anymore…” you swiftly slid away from Sam’s arms and put distance between yourselves.
Sam feigned a sad face. Not like you could tell it was fake anyways. Sam knew you were dumb and she used it to her advantage to manipulate you.
“But think about all that I’ve been through. You would know how it is if you went through it. The least you could do is let me do what I want.” Sam closed the gap between the two of you.
She rested her hands on your hips and dipped her head to plant a soft kiss to you neck. Sam lifted her head back up and locked eyes with you.
“Please?” Sam begged hopefully. You broke the eye contact.
“Okay, but this is the last time” you shuddered as Sam’s hands lowered to your ass and lifts you on top of the counter.
Your lips locked and Sam trailed her hands to your thighs and squeezed them. Your hands gripped the counters alongside you. Sam grabbed the hem of your shirt and lifted it above and over you head, tossing it carelessly.
She slid her hands up to the hook of your bra and fiddled with it until the bra fell from your chest, letting you previously confined breasts fall.
Sam started to play with your boobs causing you to gasp, giving Sam the opportunity to stick her tongue in your mouth.
“Sammy…” you whined while tilting your head back to give Sam more access to kiss and litter your neck with bites and hickies.
“Be patient” Sam mumbled as she lowered down your shorts. She moved her kisses to the inner of your thighs and moved up to your wet heat.
She flattened out your tongue and licked a stripe up your whole pussy. She slowly flicked her tongue across your clit. You let out a quiet, high-pitched noise and stuck one of your hands in you hair, effectively ruffling it.
Sam attached her lips to your bundle of nerves and harshly sucked. Your toes curl and you bite your bottom lip just barely hard enough to draw a bit of blood.
Sam pulled away from your drooling pussy, dripping slick. A line of your juices trailed with her mouth as she jutted her tongue out to lick up the rest of your essence from her mouth.
“But I-I didn’t even get to finish, Sammy” you complained in discontent.
“I would much rather have you cum on my strap, baby.” Sam dropped her pants and grabbed the back of your knees and slid you closer to the edge.
Your heartbeat fastened in anticipation when Sam lifted you, her hands squeezing the bottom of your thighs, and lined your clenching hole up with her strap.
She slid you down onto her faux cock and groaned when you let out a near pornographic moan. She laid your back against the counter and held your hands beside your head, interlocking your fingers.
“Sammy! Fuck-“ Sam cut your drawn out sentence short by smashing your lips together once again. The fluidity of the kiss and the harsh thrusting of her hip brought you close to your release.
Sam lifted her head back up from your lips. Her pupils were blown wide as she watched you leaned you cheek on the cold counter. She removed one of her hands from your harsh hold and moved you hand to your naked stomach. She put her hand on top of yours and pressed. hard.
You let out a loud moan, causing your voice to echo through the kitchen. Sam slid her silicone cock out of you.
“On your knees. I want you to clean your mess.” Sam’s voice was full of confidence and authority. You complied. You were now on the floor, sucking Sam off.
Your head bobbed back and forth, and you hollowed out your cheeks. You kept going. Sam jerked her hips forwards, making you gag.
You immediately removed you mouth from Sam’s strap and coughed. Tears welled in your eyes and laced you lashes. Sam grabbed the back of your head and put you back on her cock.
Your hands flew to the back of her thighs and your nails dug into her skin. Tears were slowly dripping down your face as you took what you received.
Sam’s thrusts started getting sloppy, and she stopped altogether and came. She let out a low groan. She let you off her strap and helped you off the ground. She may use you, but she isn’t heartless. These were times Sam was thankful Tara had night classes. She didn’t know what she would do if-
“Sam? I’m home! What’s for dinner…” Tara’s voice trailed off as she saw the scene in front of her. You and Sam butt-ass naked in the middle of the kitchen. the only thing remotely close to clothing was the glistening strap attached to Sam’s waist. “What the actual fuck,”

last kiss
pairing: tara carpenter & female reader
summary: in which you and tara truly had your last kiss.
word count: 1.5k
author’s note: this song is fully based on last kiss by taylor swift. also sorry for bad update and shit writing, i’m currently not feeling motivated for it.

"I love you."
Those were the three words you had whispered into Tara's ear, with your soothing and mellifluous voice.
It had been late. 1:38 to be exact. You couldn't fall asleep, although you thought Tara was. Whispering in her ear and kissing her cheek, being completely unaware of the fact that she hadn't yet to doze off either.
She had tried her hardest not to let the huge smile spread across her face. You had whispered the words for just the two of you to know.
Later that night, Tara had opened her eyes, feeling the need to see your features once again before drifting off. You'd looked so tranquil, peaceful. Your face lit through the darkness like a radiant moon, casting a gentle glow all around.
You told Tara you loved her.
So why did you leave? Go away?
It was not until now Tara remembered the time when you had reunited with her after sixteen long weeks apart. The sixteen weeks of Tara's school semester, who had felt like an eternity.
She recalled the smell of the rain, the sound of the drops hitting the hood of her rain jacket, and the fresh downpour on the pavement.
You had stayed up the entire night, just to get to the airport just in time so Tara wouldn't have to wait when she landed. July ninth.
Tara had ran of the plane just to see you, sprinted towards you the second she saw your sneakers on the concrete floor of the arrival hall. She jumped onto you, embraced you in a bone crushing strength you didn't know she had.
She remembered the smell of your floral scented perfume in her nostrils, and the way she felt your heart jumping through the material of your hoodie. She could still feel your arms around her sometimes.
Now she didn't have anyone to sprint towards after she'd gotten off a plane.
The only way she could feel your smell now was when she wore your clothes, the garments that you had left at her house and then forgotten.
Tara put on your clothes almost every day, sitting on the floor of her room, letting the smell of the different fabrics bring her to a happier place; the memories with you.
She thought about how much she missed you all the time. Although she was unsure if you ever thought of her.
Tara felt unsure of everything. She didn't know if the split between the two of you was the cause of it, or if it was all of the betrayals from previous events. But she did know that the only thing she was certain of was that she didn't know how to be someone you missed.
She knew you didn't miss her, but that didn't stop her from trying to figure out how to get you to yearn for her. As much as she did for you.
Was the key to get a new partner? Or post stuff that showed she was happier than ever? What could possibly make you want her again?
Something else Tara thought about constantly, was your last kiss. The last kiss she never thought the two of you would have. She thought you would spent the rest of your life alongside one another.
She had never thought about her relationship with you ending nor taking a drastic turn, but when it did come across her mind one time, she'd never imagined that it would happen like this.
She never planned on kissing Chad.
It wasn't on purpose. Of course it wasn't.
She would never intentionally do something to hurt you. Never.
But she had done it anyway. She had tried to blame it on the alcohol that she had poured into her body minutes before, but she was very aware that wouldn't get her anywhere.
Because the truth was; Tara didn't have a reason behind it, not at all.
She had asked herself the question over and over again; why she had done it, knowing that was the first question you'd ask her when she told you. But she couldn't come up with a proper answer.
Tara had felt out of place for months. She had felt this longing for comfort and validation. She knew that if she talked to you about it and expressed how she felt, you would've erased that feeling. Oh how she wished she had went to you to begin with.
She didn't know why she didn't.
Tara knew she could trust you. She knew she could trust you like a lighthouse guiding her through stormy seas.
Yet her mind told her something was wrong. She was fighting a battle with herself at that point,
the internal battle being between what she knew was right and the temporary relief she sought.
She felt disgusted with herself for sleeping with Chad. They had known each other ever since birth, and she thought that might've ruined their friendship for all eternity, however that wasn't the relationship she was worried about ruining.
The relationship she was worried about destroying was with the person's name she had accidentally moaned out.
Your name.
It was always on her lips.
Even when she tried to enjoy herself with other men, all she could find herself thinking about was you.
You'd forever be the name on her lips, no matter how hard she tried.
As she looked back on your time together, she couldn't help but remember the swing of your step. The way you moved with such grace and confidence. Each stride carried a rhythm that seemed to match the beat of her heart.
You were the life of the party, always showing off, whether it was in beer pong or in dancing, you loved dancing. You would always pull Tara onto the dance floor just so she would join you, and she would roll her eyes for it.
Tara wasn't much for dancing, she'd never liked it and was never going to. But for you, she did dance. She danced like nobody was watching, and she never seemed to regret it, because it always made you beam with a smile.
She'd do anything to watch you smile. She'd do anything to be with you again.
Because she loved the way you greeted Sam with a gentle handshake whenever you joined them for dinner. She loved the way you walked with your hands in your pockets.
How you'd kiss her when she was in the middle of saying something. She'd always end up kissing back, and she never complained, yet she still called it rude interruptions, and there wasn't a day she didn't miss them.
She'd do anything to experience that again.
The only experiences with you she had now, was the ones she tried to relive with your clothes on her body. When she would sit on her floor, pressed into a corner of the four walled room, either sobbing or just thinking about you, and how she didn't know if you ever wasted a thought on her.
She was now watching your life in pictures as regularly as she used to watch you sleep.
You slept over at her house almost every night, and on every occasion Tara would lay in front of you for hours, just admiring your features and relaxed face. She never told you about it, but now she wished she did.
She could feel you starting to forget her, as often as she used to feel you breath. Whenever you embraced her as you slept, she made sure to keep count your breaths and the amount of seconds between them, like they were about to stop if she didn't count.
They never stopped. Luckily. But she stopped hearing them after she'd told you the truth. About what she had done with Chad. She never got to hug you again after that, or count your heartbeats.
Tara tried to keep up with your old mutual friends as often as she could, asking them how you were doing. She always received short answers, politely short answers.
She could tell they wanted nothing to do with her. Same as you wanted nothing to do with her, Chad or even Mindy.
You would occasionally greet Mindy in the corridors, never even bothering to look at Tara or Chad, which was understandable, but that didn't stop the jealousy from flooding through Tara's veins from the sight.
She hoped you were doing well. She hoped it was nice where you were. Wherever you were. Whoever you were with.
She hoped that some day, when the sun would shine and it'd be a beautiful day, that you'd be reminded of something about her, and that'd you wish you had stayed. For whatever reason.
She hoped that at some point, you'd think back to the last kiss you shared, that you would change your mind, and that you'd want to come back to her.
Just so everything could be the way it was. The way she ruined.

You Belong to Me
Warnings: NSFW, smut, Sam Carpenter x reader, Sam Carpenter x Fem Reader (implied, no pronouns used), choking, semi exhibitionism, fingering (R receiving), oral (R receiving) , Top!Sam, jealous Sam, R’s really a pillow princess in this one (Sam gets nothing)  a/n: Lowkey hated on Ethan this entire fic sorry guys. Made him sound like a bitchy pervert...he is.
Sam was jealous. This isn’t a surprise Sam is always jealous, but she’s seething watching him shamelessly flirt with you in the comfort of her own home. Him being Ethan Landry. Sam hates Ethan Landry and his feigned innocence, she sees the way he looks at you. Of course she sees it, Sam looks at you the exact same way. He’s not the innocent virgin angel he claims to be, and the thought of him thinking of you in anyway other than platonically makes Sam feel violently nauseous. Ethan comes over twice a week to study with Tara, meaning that twice a week he gets to see you. How could he be so blind? Obviously you were Sam’s, everyone knew that. Yet it doesn’t stop him from throwing an arm over your shoulder, or complimenting your outfits in ways that are far too descriptive to be seen as friendly. Sam wants Ethan out of her home, and she briefly considers asking Tara if they would relocate their study sessions elsewhere. She quickly dismisses that thought as she realizes she doesn’t want her baby sister anywhere alone with that perv. She narrows her eyes, grimacing as she notices Ethan lean over and whisper something in your ear. The fit of giggles that you erupt into is more than enough to soften her gaze. But how dare he. How dare he make you laugh like that, that was Sam’s job. You aren’t Ethan’s. You belong to her. You belong to Sam. She grips the kitchen counter tightly, knuckles turning white and her hand veins bulging. Sam’s huffy and irritant, counting down the seconds until Ethan leaves her apartment. Her ears perk up as she hears Ethan finally begin to pack up his belongings, she walks up to the front door in long strides, opening the door to speed up the process of his departure. After hugging you for much longer than necessary he meets the angry Carpenter at the door. “Bye Sam!” he waves. Sam grumbles some distasteful words under her breath in annoyance. Not that he could hear her anyways as she slammed the door in his face the second he stepped out of the apartment.   --- The next time Ethan comes over, Sam is prepared. He doesn’t get a chance to say hello to either of you as Sam drags you into your shared bedroom the very moment Ethan walks in. You laugh as she shuts the room door in haste turning to face you. “What’s got you all riled up today” you say playfully poking at her chest. “You.” She growls. Your teasing grin wiped off your face instantly. Sam lunges forward capturing your lips in a heated kiss, moving downwards to kiss and suck at your throat. She all but tears your clothes off leaving you naked in front of her. “Sam- slow down.” you gasp out. You’re unsure of what has her so excited at the moment but you welcome the lustful attention, reaching your hands down to the hem of her shirt, lifting it over her head. You stop briefly taking a moment to gawk at Sam’s shirtless body. God she looks so hot. Her arm muscles are so defined and her forearm veins are so attractively visible, blood pulsing through her hand and arm veins from how hard she’s gripping your hips. She removes herself from you, settling down on the bed and propping herself up on her elbows. Immediately you follow her to the bed climbing on her stomach. Sam inhales sharply when she feels your wet cunt against her skin. Placing your hands on her chest, you rock yourself against the ridges of her abs. You let out a loud moan rolling your hips faster against her, Sam’s hands guide your hips in a steady rhythm. She flexes her abdomen and quickens pace making your body shudder, your moans increasing in volume. Usually Sam would have slapped her hand over your mouth by now to keep you quiet, but when you look down at her she just smirks at you, moving your hips faster against her. “Sam I c-can’t” you whine out desperately. The corners of her lips quirk up into a smile and she flips you onto your back. Sam knew that you wouldn’t be able to cum just from grinding on her stomach, you needed her help. You always do. You need Sam to make you cum, not Ethan, not anyone else. Sam. She prides herself in the fact that you’re no longer able to get yourself off properly. You can’t make yourself cum anymore, your own fingers incomparable to Sam’s fingers, tongue, or strap. Moving her hand down, Sam harshly presses her thumb against your puffy clit and you cry out loudly. Since she has decided against quieting you, you reach your hand up to cover your mouth yourself as Sam continues playing with your sensitive bundle of nerves. She can see you biting your hand and is not at all impressed. Sam grabs both of your wrists and pins them above your head with one hand, while using the other to roughly shove two fingers inside your dripping cunt. The muscular girl removes her hand from your wrists and uses it to squeeze your throat, she feels your pussy flutter against her fingers as she drags them through your gummy inner walls. Your moans are loud and frequent, making Sam quicken her pace and curl her fingers, massaging your g-spot with each thrust. You cum with an obscenely loud pornographic moan, soaking Sam’s fingers and grinding into her hand. Sam moves down the bed, using her strength to pry your legs wider open. Opening her mouth to messily lick up all of your juices, she has a mix of her saliva and your wetness dripping down her chin and onto the bedsheets. Licking wide stripes through your folds and up to your clit. She takes the pulsing nub between her lips, sucking vigorously. You’re close to orgasm again and you buck your hips up trying to press yourself harder against Sam’s tongue. “Gonna cum Sam, gonna c-cum so hard.” you whine. Her fingers press harder into your thighs and you’re sure they’ll bruise. She lifts her head up looking you in the eye before pushing her fingers back inside of you, in place of her tongue. “Say my name.” “ W-what?” “Say. my. name.” she repeats. “Sam. Feels so good Sammy.” you moan breathlessly. You clench impossibly tight around her long, thick fingers and Sam knows you’re about to cum. “My name, say it again when you cum. I want to hear it.” “Fuck Sam! I’m cumming!” you scream out, rolling your hips out in time with her slowing thrusts. She pulls her fingers out, pushing them into your mouth making you taste yourself. Sam stands up brushing your damp hair out of your face delicately and  kisses the tip of your nose. She pulls a shirt on before exiting the room to grab you water. Walking up to the fridge she can see her younger sister’s disgusted expression and has to fight the urge to snicker. Turning her head she sees Ethan. It was her name you moaned, not Ethan’s. He’ll never get to have you like this because you’re all Sam’s. His jaw is slack, eyes wide, and his gaze flitters everywhere in the room except for Sam, he avoids eye contact with her desperately. Clearing his throat he packs up his belongings and gives Tara a meek “goodbye”. Sam smirks in victory, before turning to walk back into your room, water bottle in hand.
Tara rolls her eyes exasperated, now she has to study all alone just because her sister got jealous. Sam can be a real dick sometimes.

Jealousy (18+)
Pairing: Sam Carpenter x f!reader
Warnings: smut, vaginal fingering, strap-on sex, bike sex (?), anal fingering, possessiveness, jealousy, mommy kink, pet names
Summary: Sam finally has enough of Ethan's bullshit.

Tumblr media
The engine rumbles under you with a twist of Sam's wrist and you moan loudly, the noise almost unnoticeable behind the rev of the engine.
"Think you can come like this?" Sam taunts, pushing you against the vibrating metal with a firm grip on your hip.
Another twist of her wrist and you arch into her, grinding your hips against her bike.
"Y-yes." You don't even bother trying to hide the tremble in your voice, clutching her jacket in a vice grip as you buckle in her hold, whimpering against her chest. The vibrations send jolts of pleasure up your body, making your clit ache deliciously.
You're sure your makeup is ruined and your dress is all wrinkled, but you don't care as long as she keeps doing that.
The engine growls in quick succession, and you come with a cry, burrowing into her neck.
She hums, kissing down the side of your face. "You did good," she praises, "but the dress has to go." Her tone leaves no room for objection.
You wince. "We're already late, I can't go back to change."
She bites down on your neck, and twists her wrist again. This time you rise to your tiptoes, trying to get away from the overwhelming pleasure. She firmly pushes you back, her deft hand pushing under your dress to cup your ass possessively.
"I don't want him seeing you like this." You can tell by her tone she's barely holding herself back.
You sigh, letting her fingers disappear under your panties to push inside. You welcome her eagerly, spreading your legs, knowing it'll help ease her jealousy.
You don't even know why she's so sure Ethan's into you. He's one of your closest friends, and has been for years before you met her, but lately she's been drilling holes into him whenever you hang out together, watching his every movement like a hawk and making sure to never let him get close to you. For someone who's adamant about keeping your relationship a secret she's been acting too obvious. You're sure Mindy already figured it out.
"Sam, he's just a frien-" You try to reason, swallowing back your words when she pinches your clit. "Fuck, Sammy." You throw your legs over her hips, grinding against her palm.
"He wants you." She hisses, thrusting and spreading her fingers inside your clenching pussy.
You claw at her shoulders, trying to keep up with her pace. She's hammering into you, making you ache in the best possible way.
"Only want you," you whimper into her mouth and she relaxes slightly, "I'm yours, only yours."
She exhales, pulling you in a heated kiss. "Come for me," she orders, "Now, princess."
You come with a loud moan, your eager pussy swallowing her fingers, wanting her to stay inside forever. She doesn't try to pull away, leaving kisses all over your face before nuzzling into your neck. "I love you."
You hum, straightening your back. "Love you too."
She smiles and untangles from you, kneeling in front of her bike and pulling your legs on her shoulders.
Your breath hitches. "What are you doing?"
She grins, placing a kiss on your inner thigh. "Cleaning you up," she says before licking a long stripe up your slit, drinking in your wetness. Your hips jerk uncontrollably, closing around her head, but she doesn't seem to mind being squished between your thighs, moaning at your taste.
She stays true to her words and doesn't go further, placing a chaste kiss to your clit before pulling your panties back up. "Come on, we're already late."
You're sure she chose a route with the most speed bumps on purpose. You cling to her back the whole ride, swallowing back moans and praying you'll get there quick. You wanted to ask her to turn around at least five times, but it's Ethan's birthday and you can't just ditch him like that. Soon enough his house comes into view and you exhale in relief.
The music is so loud it makes your ears buzz, but you push through the discomfort and follow Sam as she tugs you inside by your wrist. The house is full of people and you're almost hundred percent sure they're all Chad's friends. You love Ethan, but there's no way the nerd knows that many people.
"You came!" A loud voice reaches your ears, and Sam abruptly stops just as Ethan's arms circle your waist to pull you in a bone crushing hug.
You huff out a laugh and press a kiss to his cheek. "Of course! I wouldn't miss it. Happy birthday, loser." You grin and take a step back to Sam's side, nudging her with your elbow.
She grunts, but pushes out a tense smile. "Happy birthday." She mumbles, shooting daggers at the younger boy.
The party goes swimmingly after that, with a minor hiccups of Sam occasionally shouldering the birthday boy on her way to get you more drinks. You take it in stride, knowing she's holding back for your sake. Mindy's eyebrow keeps jumping up every time that happens, and you pray she won't say anything, at least not tonight.
"Soooo, Y/n, little birdie told me you're still single after all this time." Chad starts after you settle in the living room, a shit eating grin on his face, and Sam immediately tenses up, looking at you. "Is there a reason for that? Perhaps you're waiting for a certain someone to make a move?" He drawls, his glance at Ethan not subtle at all.
Mindy chokes on her soda, spewing it all over the floor before hiding her laugh behind a pillow. Tara looks between them in question, a confused frown on her face.
"Chad, don't," Ethan hisses quietly, a blush overtaking his face.
You have no idea what to do.
"Can't she just enjoy single life? Single doesn't mean miserable, you know." Anika rolls her eyes, and you want to crawl over to her and smother her with kisses in gratitude.
"Not when there is a certain someone who's perfect for her." Chad says, lifting his bottle.
Sam places her hand on the back of the couch, her fingers brushing your shoulder. "And who would that be?" She asks, her jaw grinding in annoyance.
"Me," Ethan speaks up, seemingly gathering all of his bravery to utter a single word. He meets your eyes, before looking down at your outfit, appreciation shining in his eyes.
You regret not going back to change like Sam wanted. You glance at her and you know she noticed the look in his eyes too, because she's livid. "You?" Sam gritts.
You want the ground to open up and swallow you.
You put a hand on her thigh, not caring at this point about anyone noticing. "A perfect friend you mean." You try to ease the tension, your eyes full of hope as you look at Ethan.
It's impossible to miss the way Mindy doubles over, wheezing. Anika sends her an annoyed look, elbowing her harshly. Tara just looks like she wants to disappear out of the room.
"Look, Y/n, I've been thinking about it for a long time and I think it makes perfect sense, you know? For us to be together. We're so close it's almost like we're dating already." He hurries to get his point across, his hands shaking. Chad nods approvingly and you know he was the one to give your friend a pep talk, with the way he mouths along to some of Ethan's words.
"Almost is the key word, Ethan." Sam's words are full of venom, her eyes so dark you struggle to make out any color.
"I'm not talking to you." Ethan barks, annoyed by her intervention.
"Hey!" You exclaim. "Don't talk to her like that."
He has the decency to look apologetic.
"Can we just speak in private?"
"No." Sam says at the same time as you do, and plants her hand firmly on your shoulders and pushes you into her side. "She's not going anywhere with you."
"I totally don't want to be here for this." Tara abruptly stands up and leaves the room, disappearing between dancing bodies. Anika follows a second later, trying to force Mindy into going with her, but the short haired girl only gets more comfortable on the couch, munching on some snack.
The tension is so thick you're not sure even a knife will cut it, you'd need a chainsaw for that.
"Just give him a chance, he'll charm your pants off." Chad smiles at you with a knowing glint in his eyes.
How can men be so fucking blind?
"I can totally do that." Ethan nods eagerly. "I mean, not on the first date, but in the future, of course. I've been reading about that a lot. You know, the sex stuff."
You groan, hiding your face in Sam's shoulder. You don't know if you're more disappointed in Ethan or yourself. All this time Sam was right, and you were too naïve to notice. Was he ever your friend or was he always hoping for more, waiting for the opportunity to act on his feelings?
Sam's chest rises quickly with each breath she takes and you feel her heart drumming against her ribcage. Her hands slid over your waist a long time ago, tugging you over her lap, but it doesn't feel like enough to get a point across. She tenses up and you know she's ready to get up and punch him square in the jaw.
Ethan is ripped under all of his plaid shirts, but Sam is fucking brutal when it comes to protecting what's hers, she'll rip him to shreds. You can't let this escalate any further.
"Sam, let's just go home," you whisper, praying she'll listen.
"Wow, you're just gonna let him steal your girl?"
Fucking Mindy.
Sam jumps up and Ethan follows, not caring about you trying to push them apart. "Sam, please." You plead, pushing against her chest.
She doesn't even spare you a glance, her knuckles clasped in fists. "Outside. Now." She hisses at the boy and he visibly blanches, swallowing nervously.
Chad intervenes, pushing Ethan back on the couch, finally sensing that he might've… miscalculated.
"Get the fuck up," Sam growls, taking a step to him.
Ethan rises back on his feet at the command, agitation rising in his eyes. "What the fuck is wrong with you? You don't get a say in this."
She chuckles, looking at you for a second before pinning him down with a withering glare. "I don't get a say in this? Her taste is still on my tongue, Landry. She's mine."
You freeze, holding your breath as the room grows eerie silent. Mindy slaps a palm over her open mouth, Chad blushes deeply, looking at the ceiling.
Ethan blinks, looking at you. "What?"
"Ethan-" you start before getting interrupted by Sam.
"You heard me. Back off or I'll make you back off."
Ethan falls back, eyes wide and terrified.
"Let's go," she gritts, tugging you harshly into her chest.
You barely keep up with her pace, stumbling on the pebbled driveway as she tugs you into a shed. She pushes the door closed with her foot and bends you over the closest horizontal surface, pushing your face into the dusty wood.
"A friend, huh? A fucking friend." She fumes, nudging your legs apart and then grinds against your barely concealed ass, your short dress riding up even further. You grip the edge of the table, biting back a moan, when you feel the outline of her strap. "I don't think about having sex with my friends, do you?" Her palm lands on your bare cheek with a loud smack.
"N-no," you whimper, arching back into her.
"No what?"
You quickly realize your mistake. "No, mommy."
She slaps your upper thigh, making you buckle against the table before pulling your underwear down, drinking in the sight of your slick dripping down your leg.
"Fucking slut, already soaked," she grunts, fingers teasing your entrance.
You hiss when she spanks you again, this time harder, leaving an imprint of her hand on your soft skin. "F-for you, mommy."
"That's right," she punctuates her words with another spank, making your tears drop. "You're gonna take my strap and you're gonna scream my name like a good girl." Her pants pool at her ankles and you feel the tip of her strap nudge against your slit.
"Yes, mommy," you moan, hips buckling back against her.
"I want everyone to hear you, got it? Everyone. Don't make me take you back and fuck you in his fucking room," she growls and snaps her hips, filling you to the brim.
You quickly realize she chose her biggest strap today, when you feel the pain at the stretch hitting you in waves. You cry out as she ruts into you like a wild animal, making the feeble table creak.
"Mommy! Fuck, Sammy, please- ah!" You scream, blindly clawing behind you to pull her flush against your back.
"Look so good when I fuck you, princess," she pants, quickens the pace.
The wet sounds of her slapping into you overlap with your desperate cries, making it crystal clear to anyone passing by what exactly is happening behind the door.
"Louder, baby." Her hand sneaks around to circle your clit, making your legs twitch.
"Yes, yes, yes- Sam!" You moan, clenching around the silicone shaft.
"Who do you belong to?" She places her other hand on your ass, tugging to grant her a better view.
"You, mommy, I'm yours," you whine.
"That's right, you're mine. Mine to fuck, mine to love." She changes the angle, hitting your sweet spot. You do your best to try and bounce in time with her thrust, but she doesn't let you move an inch. "This sloppy cunt is mine," she says, pinching your clit. "This tight little ass…" she trails off, resting her thumb on your puckered hole.
You bite down on your lip, feeling a gush of wetness escape your pussy when she spits on your tight hole. She's been obsessed with the thought of claiming you in that way, but never tried to act on it. Until now.
"It's mine, isn't it?" She taunts, circling it, timing the movement with the one on your clit. Then she dips the tip of her thumb inside and you break, the joined pleasure pushing you over the edge.
"Yours! All yours, mommy." You scream, feeling her whole finger enter you.
Your vision blacks out as you come, legs jerking in Sam's hold, but she doesn't stop, each of her thrusts harder than the previous one as she fingers your ass.
You're a mess of tears and sweat, pathetically clinging to the table as she continues abusing your holes, drawing another orgasm out of you.
"Please," you whimper, pushing back.
"Please what? You want more?" She asks, pushing another finger in.
And fuck does that feel good. She's ruining you in the best way possible, spreading both of your holes wide open for her own enjoyment. Each of her thrust brings you closer to your high as she makes a mess out of you.
"I asked you a question," she hisses, and fists your hair, tugging harshly and making your back arch.
You don't remember what the question was, you're not sure you even heard it, so you just nod, "Yes, mommy."
She chuckles, and kisses the side of your face. "That's my good girl."
"S-so close," you whimper, your salty tears falling down on your chest. Your body boils with the need to come, your senses focused only on Sam.
"I know you are, baby, but you're not allowed to come." She coos in your ear and your heart falls to your stomach.
Her thrusts slow and her fingers slide out of the tight ring of muscle, the emptiness making you cry pathetically. "No, please," you whine, "please, mommy, please."
She tuts, a smirk on her face. "We'll continue this at home, princess."
She pulls out of your pussy, leaving you to sob quietly and clench around nothing. She hums and there's shuffling of fabric, before you hear a click of a camera.
"Don't worry, I'll keep it safe," she says.
She helps you stand, taking most of your weight as she leads you back to her bike.
Fuck.

My Masterlist
Word Count: 3.59K (a little shorter than normal 😬)
“Oh! Ava, this is my-” You weren’t quite sure what Sam was to you at this point, “Yeah, this is my Sam,” you finished with a giant smile. “It’s so nice to finally meet you!” Ava announced as she stuck out her hand.
Sam gave the girl a tight-lipped smile as she climbed out of the truck and walked toward you. She felt sick to her stomach as she watched you talk to the girl; she knew she had to leave. “Sam? Is everything alright?” You asked with worry laced in your voice, and Sam couldn’t take it anymore. When Sam felt your hand grab her hand and turn her to you, she quietly whispered, “I’m fine,” before walking away from you.
You watched as Sam walked further away from you when you felt someone violently shove you. Your back collided with Sam’s truck, “what the fuck, Ava?”
The more petite girl pointed a finger at your face, “You are going to go after Sam right now, okay? Right now!” Ava exclaimed before pulling you off the truck and pushing you in the direction Sam walked off to. You gave Ava a confused look before you followed after Sam.
You weren’t quite sure why she would take off and leave, but you had a feeling her insecurities got the best of her. Sometimes, Sam would get quiet when you two were out in public together, and she saw someone take an interest in you. You would politely shut down their attempt to flirt with you, but Sam still couldn’t shake the feeling of being enough, and after thinking about it, you knew that was bothering her.
“Sam?” You called out as you entered the bathroom, and you rounded the corner and saw Sam leaning with her hands on the edge of the sink as she stared down at it. “Sam,” you whispered as you approached her and gently placed your hand on her back and rubbed small, comforting circles, “Talk to me, please.”
With a shuddering breath, Sam pushed off the sink and turned to face you as she crossed her arms over her chest, and you knew her defenses were up. “There’s nothing to talk about,” Sam muttered as her eyes stared down at the floor, refusing to meet your gaze. “Yes, there is. What’s wrong?” You questioned with a soft, caring voice, and Sam looked up to meet your worried gaze, and her heart couldn’t take it. She pushed past you and made for the door, but you got to the door before her and locked it. “No, you don’t get to leave until you talk to me,” you stated as you walked toward Sam, and she walked backward until her back hit the edge of the sink, “What is wrong?”
You stared at Sam in tension-filled silence while her eyes burned holes in the floor and her mind ran rampant with thoughts of insecurity. The sound of a toilet flushing pulled your attention away from the woman before you, and you watched as an older woman left the stall and washed her hands. The woman dried her hands off as you and Sam stayed in awkward silence, and only when she tried to open the door did you speak up. “Oh, sorry about that,” you said as you walked to the door and unlocked it for the lady, “This is a consensual kidnapping.”
A small, dry laugh left Sam’s lips when she saw the face the woman gave you before quickly leaving the bathroom. “You know, you always make me smile or laugh when I need some happiness,” Sam admitted with a small frown, and you reached out and carefully took her hands in yours, “You always cheer me up.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” You questioned with an eyebrow raised as you interlaced your fingers with Sam's and pulled yourself closer to the woman. “It is,” Sam replied with a smile as her eyes quickly locked with yours before darting away again, “But it’s just hard. For me, at least.”
You were confused by what Sam meant, but you would wait a millennium for Sam to open up about her feelings. “What is?” You asked with a loving tone. Sam just shrugged her shoulders in response; she wasn’t ready to completely open up to you just yet, but she wanted to let you know that she was getting there.
“It’s nothing I want to talk about,” Sam admitted with a small frown, and you gave her hands a gentle squeeze before you let go and pulled her into a loving embrace. “It’s okay, Sam. Take as much time as you need,” you stated as you rubbed Sam’s back, and you physically felt the older woman melt into you, “But not too long! I have hoes wrapped around the block, waiting to get a piece of me!”
Sam chuckled at your words and felt the anxiety in her chest loosen up. You always had that effect on her, and she needed that in her life: someone who could make her forget about all her troubles and the skeletons in her closet. “Oh yeah? Like who?” Sam asked.
“It’s top secret. Names are extremely confidential when it comes to me.”
The older woman smiled at your response; then she took a deep breath before she finally asked the question that made her nauseous. “Are you talking about Ava?”
It was almost at lightning speed the way you pulled apart from San and stared into her eyes. The look on your face was mixed between bewilderment, shock, and a little bit of disgust. You pretended to fake-gag before you answered the question. “Oh my god, that street rat?! I’d rather die than give her a chance. And besides, she already has a girlfriend, and she wanted to introduce you to her. She thought we could go on a double date sometime,” you finished as you started to trail off toward the end, in fear that offering the double date was too much and it might scare Sam even more.
But to your surprise, a smile grew on Sam’s face as her eyes sparkled with a hint of hope. “That sounds nice,” she replied.
“Good. Good!” You excitedly said with a love-struck grin that made Sam’s heart flutter. She couldn’t believe it, but you had somehow made her fall for you. “But seriously though, Sam. We need to talk at some point about this, about us. But if you aren’t ready for that, then I will wait for you,” you explained, and even though Sam was terrified of this talk, she knew there were some things she needed to get off her chest.
“Okay. We can talk, just not in some sketchy ass bathroom,” Sam joked with a small laugh, and you quickly looked around. “Really? This place seems like it’d be the perfect place for a romantical date,” you remarked with a sly tone.
Sam pushed off the sink counter, grabbed your hand, and pulled you toward the door. “Come on, we have a movie to watch,” Sam said as she opened the door and held it for you, “And just so you know, I did not consent to that kidnapping.”
“Oh, whatever! It made you laugh!” You observed as gently bumped your shoulder against Sam’s while you two walked back to her truck. “I was laughing at the old woman’s face, not you!” She defended.
“Mhmmmm. If you say so,” you replied with a soft smile as you looked over your shoulder at Sam, and you couldn’t help it when your eyes drifted down to her lips. They seemed so soft despite being slightly chapped, and you wondered if they would fit perfectly with yours.
“Stop staring at me,” Sam said when she felt your gaze, and she bit back a laugh when she saw your pupil blown eyes staring at her lips as your mouth was slightly parted. If she were at home alone with you, she would have kissed that look off your face.
“Sorry,” you muttered while embarrassment crept up your neck, and you looked down at the ground. When you reached the trunk, Sam climbed into the bed and got comfortable while you gave Ava a thumbs up. Your best friend was with the truck in front of you and was with her girlfriend. You just hoped you would leave this night with a girlfriend of your own.
You sent Mindy a glance once Ava turned away, and the film geek made eye contact with you while she did the cutthroat motion. The look on your face was priceless as you gave Mindy a look of fear and disbelief before you quickly climbed into the truck bed to join Sam and sat down next to her.
The woman was sitting with her back against the rear panel, and you wanted to take things to the next level with her. Not in a sexual way, just a comforting way. You couldn’t help how your mind was filled with dirty thoughts as you stared at Sam’s veiny hands and the tight shirt that hugged her muscular arms so well. You wanted Sam to wrap her arms around you and never leave, and before you could even think, your lips spoke for you. “Can I sit between your legs?”
The question left your lips in record time, and you couldn’t even look up at Sam when you spoke. You were getting ready to apologize when Sam stretched out her legs and opened up her legs, silently telling you that it was okay. You gave Sam that soft smile you only reserved for her as you settled in between Sam’s legs with your back against her front, and to your surprise, Sam wrapped her arms around your torso and pulled you into her. She then kissed your clothed shoulder and placed her open hands on your leg, and you interlaced your hands with hers.
The movie began to play on the screen while you relaxed into Sam’s hold. She was glad you were here with her and no one else. You chose to spend your time with her, making her feel loved in a way she didn’t know existed.
Throughout the movie, there were times when Sam would run her hands up and down your thighs, place a kiss on your cheek or even your neck if she was feeling bold and you were soaking up the attention. You also noticed that Sam would pull you closer to her and kiss your neck only when Ava would walk by, and you could practically feel the anger radiating off of Sam. You had told her not to worry about Ava, but the poor woman couldn’t help the anger she felt rise in her chest whenever your best friend would walk by. However, Sam didn’t know that you had texted Ava and told her to walk by a few times, so that Sam would give you some more attention and love.
As the movie continued, you fully relaxed against Sam’s front and never felt safer. There was a feeling of comfort that no walls or defenses could ever give you, and it was all coming from the feeling of being in Sam’s arms. When she wrapped her muscular arms around your body and pulled you close, there were no words you could use to describe the comfort and love you felt. Even though you two weren’t official, Sam was your home, and you would never let her go.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Thank you for inviting me to the movies. I had a perfect time. You know, apart from you freaking out and trying to leave me, of course,” you joked with a giant smile. Sam had taken you back to your apartment and helped you carry up the blankets you brought with you. You two were in your bedroom as you placed the blankets back in your closet.
“I didn’t freak out,” Sam grumbled while standing awkwardly in the doorway. She had never been inside your room before, and she felt like she was invading your privacy. “Um, the fuck you mean by ‘I didn’t freak out?’ If I recall correctly, you punched me in the face, and screamed ‘I’m married!’ And took off running,” you retorted.
“Okay, now you’re just being dramatic. And stop stealing lines from ‘Peal,’” Sam defended while crossing her arms and sulking.
“You’ve seen that movie? I didn’t know that you liked horror movies.”
“Have you met my sister? The little shit would probably combust if I didn’t watch a scary movie with her at least once a month.”
“Ohhhh, so you’ll watch a scary movie with Tara but not with me? I see how it is,” you snarked with sass in your voice. You had finished putting up the blankets and sat on the edge of your bed and stared up at Sam. Part of you was hoping that Sam would push you down onto the bed and take you right then and there, but you knew the woman wouldn’t. Damn her stupid morals.
“Don’t even pull that card. I just watched a movie with you tonight, so you should be grateful,” Sam reasoned with a playful smile. She loved the banter you two had, and she wouldn’t trade it for anything.
“We watched ‘Corpse Bride!’ That’s not a scary movie!” You exclaimed. “All romantic movies are scary movies,” Sam mumbled her breath, and you scoffed at her words.
“Whatever,” you responded with a fake eye roll as you stood up from your bed and, walked to your door, and opened it. “Are you kicking me out already?” Sam playfully asked.
“Yes, because apparently, I’m not good enough for you to watch scary movies with,” you replied sternly as you went to your front door and opened it, “Now go on! Get!”
“You’re an asshole, you know that?” Sam stated with a smile, and that single smile made your knees weak and your chest fill up with butterflies. “Yeah, but I’m your asshole,” you replied with a love-struck grin.
“You better be. Can’t have you cheating on me already,” Sam joked with a smile, “So what are you going to do the rest of the night?”
“Why? So you can try and make a move on me? You disgusting pervert! But I’ll probably watch ‘X’ or something. Lorraine is so fine. God, the things I would let that woman do to me. She is,” You made a chef’s kiss motion with your hands, and Sam quickly grabbed that hand and forced it down to your side.
“Alright, that’s enough. She looks like my sister,” Sam coldly stated as she fought off the jealousy and insecurities in her chest. She already knew that she was not the best for you, and the fact that you were attracted to someone who looked like her sister didn’t help at all.
“Exactly! If I can’t have the Carpenter sister I want, I’ll just go after-” Sam couldn’t handle listening to you anymore, so she grabbed your cheeks and forced her lips into yours, shutting you up. The kiss wasn’t pretty, but you would be damned if it wasn’t perfect. It was rushed and sloppy as your lips continued clashing with each other, but that’s all Sam has ever known. She has never known what it’s like to be treated with gentleness, and you wanted to be the first to show her.
You reached up and gently cupped Sam’s cheeks and pulled her away from your lips, and you swore you heard the faintest whimper. The look on Sam’s face was something you would never forget: eyes that were completely black and filled with a mix between love and lust, her swollen lips that were slightly parted as she panting. Before Sam could question you, you pulled her into a loving and gentle kiss, and Sam sighed. Your lips danced together while you two would occasionally take in a breath whenever you could. The soft feeling of Sam’s lips against yours was heaven as you tasted them, and you were sure you could get drunk off them. Only when oxygen became a problem did you two separate.
“I’ve been wanting to do that for so long,” you mumbled against Sam’s lips and quickly pecked her lips, “I can’t believe all I had to do was hit on your sister.”
“Yeah, let’s not talk about that,” Sam replied before clearing her throat and opening your front door, but you quickly shut it. “Don’t leave. Please,” you pleaded with beady eyes, and Sam knew she could never say no to you.
You pulled Sam back into your room, and you dropped her hand while you went to brush your teeth. You gave Sam a spare one, and for the first time, you two brushed your teeth together. “We need to get a double sink,” you declared while rinsing your mouth out. “Why?” Sam asked while doing the same thing. “So we do normal things together. Obviously,” you dryly replied.
“Y/N, we kissed once, and you are already planning our future together,” Sam acknowledged as she leaned against the bathroom door frame, and you pushed past her and got in bed. “Are you saying you don’t want to be with me?” You weakly asked, and Sam felt her heart rip out of her chest at your words. You weren’t ordinarily insecure, but when it came to your Sammy, you wanted to be perfect for her.
She moved from the doorframe and sat down next to you. She took your hands into hers as she spoke, “Y/N, I would be the biggest liar on this planet if I said I didn’t want to be with you. You make me feel things I didn’t know existed, and all I want to do is wake up with you in my arms every morning. There’s just things I wish were different about me.”
“Like what?” You asked with a disbelief laugh. Sam was perfect in your eyes, and you wouldn’t change anything about her.
Sam took a deep breath before she finally admitted the insecurities that have been plaguing her since her first date with you. “I’m worried, Y/N. And I’m terrified that I’m not good enough for you. I mean, you are young, and you still have your entire life ahead of you; you can do so much better than me,” Sam admitted in a broken voice as tears welled in her eyes, and you felt your heart shatter at her confession.
“Oh, Sam,” you whispered as you pulled the older woman into a bone-crushing hug while you rubbed her back. Sam gripped your back and held you close to her body, afraid that if she let off just a little bit, you would disappear forever. “I wish I was better. For you,” Sam choked into your neck. She hated being this vulnerable, especially in front of you, but she needed some comfort from you. She needed to know that you would be with her and not give up on her, even though you two just got back from your second date.
You pulled back from the hug after a few moments, and your heart broke at the broken look on Sam’s face. You had never seen her this vulnerable before, and you planned to shower her with love and affection. “Sam, I don’t care about your past or who your father is. I only care about you and your well-being. I want to be there with you on all your bad days, whether you have a cold or saw your father. Hell, I’ll even be there for you when you murder someone,” you joked, and you felt your heart swell when you pulled a small laugh from Sam, “The point is, I’m always going to be here for you, whether you want me to or not.”
The only thing going through Sam’s mind was her thinking about what she did to deserve you. She wasn’t a saint by any means, but she didn’t deserve all this love.
As if you were reading her mind, you leaned in and kissed Sam again, and Sam sighed against your lips as she felt all her worries disappear.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” She mumbled against your lips. “You just had your tongue down my throat, and you’re seriously asking me that?” You joked with a small laugh while Sam refused to meet your gaze.
“I don’t know, I just thought it would be nice to ask you,” Sam embarrassedly stated, “But you don’t have to give me an answer just yet; you can think about it.”
A small laugh left your lips as you pulled Sam on top of you and into your bed. “Of course, I want to be your girlfriend,” you said before kissing her lips.
“Good,” Sam whispered as she kissed you again before getting off of you and laying down next to you. You were quick to move your head onto Sam’s chest, and you made yourself comfortable while Sam ran her fingers through your hair.
“I’m so fucking happy I have you,” Sam stated while she placed a kiss on your forehead, “You make me so happy.”
“You make me happy too, Sam. Thank you for letting me love you,” you mumbled into your girlfriend’s chest. “How could I not let you?” Sam responded as she placed a final kiss on your head, and sleep consumed the both of you.
You finally had your Sam, and there were no hard feelings left between you two.
All Too Well
Sam Carpenter x Fem!Reader
One-Shot
Summary: You develop a big crush on your friend's older sister, Sam. Will you get your fairytale ending? Or will it blow up in your face?
Warning(s): ANGST, swearing, age gap (not specified age gap but R's legal), a little fluff if you squint, insecure Sammy :(
Notes: I re-wrote this soooo many times but I FINALLY got it done. I listened to All Too Well (taylor's version ofc duh) on repeat while writing this and I'm still not sick of it. Also, quick shoutout to @celiastjamesoscar for being an inspiration with her wonderful Sam fics!
Tumblr media
You met her younger sister, Tara, at a party and ended up spending the rest of the night talking about horror movies. After that you two became friends and she started inviting you over to her place to hangout.
When you first saw Sam you could feel your heartbeat pick up in your chest as you gave her a warm smile. You didn’t even mind the blatant glare she gave you. She didn’t say anything to you, only walking to her room. But even if she did you’re convinced you wouldn’t have heard because of how distracted by her beauty you were. Sam had you entranced from the moment you saw her and you weren’t sure if you would ever snap out of it.
The more you came over, the more you would see of Sam. One night you, Tara, Mindy and Anika decided to have a movie night followed along with a sleep over. You weren’t opposed to the idea; agreeing instantly. You would get to hang out with your friends and possibly see more of your dream woman even if it was only for a few moments.
“What are you wearing?” Tara asked with a chuckle. She had opened the front door to find you in Batman pajamas. “Um, ever seen Batman pajamas? Don’t hate on the drip Tara,” you responded while carrying the snacks you brought under your arm.
She playfully rolled her eyes as you both walked inside. “I’m not hating, it looks good.” Tara said before closing the door and sitting on the couch. You placed the snacks down on the coffee table, Mindy and Anika were cuddled up on the loveseat nearby. “Sweet pajamas, Y/N,” Mindy complimented and Anika agreed. You thanked them before sitting down on the couch.
The four of you spent the rest of the night watching a mixture of horror and action movies. Laughter, gasps and the occasionals screams could be heard from the apartment. By the time it was one, you were the only one up. You slowly got up, as to not wake up Tara who fell asleep with her legs over your lap, and walked over to the bathroom. You emptied your bladder and washed your hands before leaving. But as soon as you left the bathroom you were met with a familiar face. A familiar pretty face.
“Hi,” you said nervously. You wondered if Sam could tell you heart was racing. “Hi.” Sam responded back dryly before looking you up and down. “Nice…Batman pajamas,” she commented.
You felt heat rush to your cheeks. You looked down at what you were wearing before looking back up at Sam. “Yeah, it’s um Batman. Which you…obviously know.” You silently gulped at how stupid you acted in front of her.
She awkwardly nodded at you and looked you up and down one more time before walking away to her bedroom. As soon as you heard her bedroom door shut you scolded yourself. “Stupid!” You shouted in a whisper, hitting your forehead with the bottom of your palm.
The next time you saw Sam, you found her in a more vulnerable state. You had been avoiding her after your interaction at the sleepover. Every time you saw her the memory replayed and the embarrassment you felt only sunk deeper. You were worried you would make yourself look even more ridiculous in front of her so you made the decision to avoid talking to her unless absolutely necessary.
Lil Guy (5:53 pm) can you come over?
You sighed and got up to put on your shoes. Of course Tara would find out about your big crush on her sister eventually.
You were walking past Sam’s room but stopped in your tracks when you heard sniffling from behind the door. You lightly knocked on her door saying, “Sam?” In the gentlest voice you could muster. Shuffling could be heard behind the door before it opened.
“What?” She asked in an annoyed tone. Her eyes were bloodshot, as if she had been crying for hours. “It’s just that I thought I heard somebody crying and I wanted to make sure you were okay.” It pained you to see her like this and you swore to do everything in your power to make everything better.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just–” she sighed, “go back to whatever it was you were doing.” You nodded but stopped her as she was closing the door. “But one more thing. If you need to, like, talk about anything or get some stuff off your chest I’m here, okay?”
 She looked at you almost skeptically. Surely you didn’t mean that. Nobody actually means that. But when Sam looked at you, all she saw was a genuine person offering an ear. She could feel her heart warm at the thought.
That scared the shit out of her.
“Thanks, Y/N,” Sam thanked you. No glare. No attitude. She meant it. You gave her a warm smile, one she’s noticed she started to look forward to seeing, before telling her it was no problem and walking back to Tara’s room.
Ever since that night you and Sam have been secretly hanging out more and more. It was nothing romantic but she did enjoy talking to you. So, whenever you got the chance to sneak over to her room you would take it. There would be some nights you and Sam stayed up for hours just talking and you wouldn’t trade it for the world. Sam was falling while you had already fallen.
One night, you and Tara spent the night watching Gilmore Girls while you drew in your sketchbook. As you continued to draw you suddenly heard the locks starting to turn on the front door. Before you had time to react, the door opened and Sam walked through it. She was about to say ‘Hi’ to Tara before she saw you and instead let out an, “Oh.” She furrowed her eyebrows before looking you up and down. Once again, your heart was racing and you could feel butterflies in your stomach. Just looking at her always had you weak in the knees.
“What are you doing here?” She asked. Sam still chose to act slightly cold toward you around people as not to draw suspicion but she assured you it was just for show. The fact that she wanted to assure you about that, made you give her a lovestruck smile while she told you.
Tara rolled her eyes at her sister’s attitude and answered for you. “I invited her here, we’ve just been watching TV. Wanna join?” She asked and Sam looked over to the television before nodding.
You were sandwiched between the two sisters; your sketchbook long forgotten and you blushing madly from the amount of contact you were holding with Sam. Fifteen minutes go by and Tara reaches over to the bowl for some popcorn, only to find it empty. “I’m gonna go get a refill,” she tells you and Sam before grabbing the bowl and going to the kitchen.
You and Sam were now left alone, sitting on the couch. Her left hand was so close to your right that you would barely have to move in order to hold it. As if Sam felt your hesitancy, she brushed her pink against yours without looking at you. It sent a jolt of electricity through the both of you. Your eyes moved down to your pinkies before you turned them back to the television.
In a moment of confidence, you decide to lock your pinky with hers. You expected her to pull away, shove you off, or even tell you to fuck off but she did neither of those things. Unexpectedly, she kept it there. That was until Tara came back. When the younger Carpenter came back you both pulled away; both sparing a glance while the other wasn’t looking.
Later that night, you were getting ready to leave until suddenly you were pulled into Sam’s room. When Sam fully pulled you into her room, she shut the door and time stopped around you as you felt her soft lips on yours.
By the time you two pulled away, your hands were gently gripping her hips and she had a hand softly holding onto the back of your neck while you were pinned to the door. “What took you so long?” You finally asked with a lovestruck smile. Sam couldn’t help but reciprocate that smile.
Your relationship with Sam was often complicated. Her mixed singles were not always easy to identify but you pushed through for her.
You and Sam have been dating for seven months now. It was the same routine every time; Tara would invite you over, you would hang out with her for a bit until Sam chose she wanted you around and signaled for you to follow her when nobody else was looking.
For the first few months the sneaking around was fun and all but recently you have found yourself wanting more. But every time these thoughts crossed your mind you chose to shove them down. You didn’t want to ruin what you had with Sam. You were with her and that’s all that mattered.
When Sam invited you over for Christmas you did not hesitate to agree. You felt like your relationship was growing, and this would be one step closer until you could be more than just her little secret.
You walked through the door with Sam, the air was cold but something about it felt like home somehow. You placed your scarf down on the hanger, along with your coat and hat. Tara and the others came to greet you and Sam before the questions ensued.
“I didn’t realize you two were coming together,” Tara remarked. You and Sam gave each other discreet glances at each other before Sam opened her mouth to reply.
“Her car isn’t working right, so I offered her a ride.” They all nodded to this before moving on. It was not long before board games were being played and hot coco was being sipped. The setting was warm and comforting, and when you felt Sam’s hand grab a hold of yours under the table it only got warmer.
Tara rushed back from one of the rooms with a scrapbook in her hand as she wore a giddy smile. “Guess what I got,” she said while holding it up. Sam mentally groaned as you shot up and made your way to Tara. “Is that–”
“Yup.”
“Well what are we doing just standing here? Let’s go see what little Sammy looked like.” You and Tara ran to her room. Sam got up and rushed over to you both; not wanting her girlfriend seeing any of her awkward phases.
By the time she got there, it was too late. Tara was already showing you pictures of younger Sam, braces and all. Sam let out a sigh as she saw you look down at the pictures. You look up at her with an opened mouth smile. “Sammy! Well aren’t you just adorable,” you tell your blushing girlfriend.
She walked over and sat down beside you. “You just had to pick when I had braces, Tar?” She asked her sister. Tara gave her a smirk before flipping through the pages.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got more,” Tara responded and flipped to a page that had pictures of when Sam was just a toddler. You let out another dramatic gasp when you see them.
“Absolutely adorable!” You exclaimed. Sam bit back a smirk as she rolled her eyes. “Okay, okay. I think that’s enough for tonight. We’re about to put on Die Hard; you coming?” She asked you and the younger Carpenter.
“Yeah just a second,” Tara told her before Sam left the room. “Okay. Seriously, when were you gonna tell me about you and my sister?” She suddenly asked, catching you off guard.
Your eyes widened at the accusation. “What– what do you mean?” You stammered. Tara sighed, closing the scrapbook and placing it on her nightstand. “It’s obvious something’s going on. Not to mention you disappearing whenever we hang out and Sam wearing a brand new hickey everytime you re-emerge. Seriously, you guys do a shit job at hiding it.”
You sighed and contemplated your next words. “You can’t tell anyone though, okay?” Tara looked at you and could tell you were being serious. She holds up her pinky to you before responding, “I won’t tell a soul.” You give her a small smile before hooking your pinky with hers.
By the time you and her leave, the movie’s already playing and you plop down beside Chad, and Tara joining you on your right side. You felt your eyelids growing heavy and eventually fell asleep on Chad’s shoulder, which he didn’t mind. By the time you woke up, a fresh set of snacks were put out and a new movie was on in the background as everyone spoke.
“Oh good, Y/N you’re up just in time for truth or dare,” you heard Mindy say. “What is this, fifth grade?” You joked before joining them on the ground. Tara sent you a smirk when she saw you immediately go to Sam’s side.
“Okay, we were just about to ask Sam if she’s still with cute boy,” Quinn said and felt yourself grow a little small.
“Cute boy?” You echoed and Quinn nodded before continuing her interrogation.
“So, how about it Sam?” Sam felt your eyes on her; only sparing you a single glance before answering.
“No, we broke up awhile ago actually,” she answered and everybody else moved on except for you. As they continued to play truth or dare you silently thought to yourself. Who was ‘cute boy?’ And why did it seem their relationship was far more public than their own.
It wasn’t until you heard your name get called when you snapped out of your spiral. “Y/N, truth or dare?” You heard Chad ask you. You thought for a moment before answering him. “Truth.”
“Well, I gotta know Y/N…are you and Sam dating?” The room went silent, at least for you it did. You knew Tara would never give your secret out like that. Especially when you literally pinky swore on it. You just did not realize the group would catch on so quickly.
“Uh–” before you could think of a lie or some lame excuse, you were quickly cut off by Sam. “No no, we’re not dating. I mean come on guys. Could you imagine us together? That’s ridiculous,” she said defensively as you felt your heart ache.
“You didn’t have to say it like that,” you muttered. “Wait– Y/N I didn’t mean–” Sam started but this time you were the one who cut her off. “I know what you meant.”
You quickly excused yourself and went to the bathroom, locking yourself inside. You felt like a complete idiot as you silently cried. The voices in your head continued to say the same things, You are not the exception. You will never learn your lesson.
You were growing tired of putting in ninety nine percent of the effort in your relationships. It hadn’t been the first time you were in this position. Most of your past relationships were you being the only one who cared enough to put in the effort.
As these memories flooded back to you, you felt naïve for letting it happen again. You scolded yourself for it. To make matters worse, you had just embarrassed yourself in front of everybody and probably ruined everything you had with Sam.
You suddenly heard three soft knocks on the door. “Who is it?” You sniffled. When you heard it was Sam you instantly debated whether or not you should open the door. Sam patiently waited on the other side until you opened the door.
Her heart ached for you as she saw your tear stained face. She had done this to you. She had caused you pain. “Hey,” Sam said in a small voice. “Hey,” you echoed back with a cracking voice.
“Can we talk?” She asked you. All you did was nod before she led you to her bedroom. She deeply inhaled as she tried to muster up what she was about to say.
“Listen, Y/N I’m sorry I never told you about Danny.” You furrowed your eyebrows at her before responding.
 “Sam, it’s not about that. Of course you’re going to have past relationships. I just don’t understand why I have to be a secret while he obviously got to be pretty public. I just– I just don’t know what I did wrong,” You told her honestly.
“What? No, you did nothing wrong okay? It’s just…easier this way,” Sam said and you felt yourself growing more irritated by her vagueness.
“How? How is this easier? Cause’ it feels a hell of a lot harder to me. Especially when my own girlfriend seems so disgusted by the thought of dating me.”
You were sitting on the edge of the bathtub, Sam kneeled in front of you and took your hands in hers. “I wasn’t disgusted. It was all an act. You know that mi amor.” Her right hand moved up to cup your cheek, her thumb wiping away a tear.
“Do I?” You challenged. Sam looked up at you with her big brown eyes before answering. “You’re my world. Nothing could ever change that,” she reassured you.
You took a moment to think to yourself. You felt Sam’s thumb brush against your bottom lip, causing you to look down at her.
“I promise I’ll make it up to you,” she told you. You sighed in defeat; you knew Sam had gotten away with something once again. You loved Sam deeply but there were times you doubted she felt the same. The thought brought you pain, both physically and emotionally. But for now you would just lay in her arms and try to forget about the world around you and your problem along with it.
Christmas and New years came and went faster than you thought it would. You had enjoyed your time at the Carpenter–Bailey residence despite what had gone down your first night, but you and Sam were good now. At least, that’s what you kept telling yourself.
Sam and you hit the road at around nine in the morning. You lived half an hour away from them so the ride wouldn’t be long but it wouldn’t be short either. Cruel Summer was playing while Sam drove. Luckily you had a girlfriend who didn’t mind you picking the songs.
“I love the ‘Fuck The Patriachry’ keychain, Tara got you,” you said as you examined said keychain. Sam chuckled a little before looking at you.
“Yeah, but it’s nothing compared to that skirt she got you,” she said with a smirk while eyeing you. You couldn’t help but blush at your girlfriend’s attempt at flirting with you.
You looked ahead to see the light turning red. “Red, Sam–”
“Shit!” Sam slammed her foot on the break before looking back at you. “Maybe you should pay more attention to the road instead of eye fu–”
Sam cut you off, “Yeah yeah, whatever.” She playfully rolled her eyes before moving the car again once the light turned green.
It did not take long before you went back to your typical routine with Sam; you would come over, hang out with your friends for a bit before Sam pulled you into her room when nobody was looking. You felt stupid for letting the incident at Christmas almost ruin your relationship with Sam.
Any time now, she’s gonna say it’s love. You had not exactly said the four special words to Sam just yet; you were afraid of scaring her off. But there were little things that Sam did that showed she felt the same toward you even if she was not the best at displaying her feelings.
You truly believed she loved you back and tonight would be the night you told her you loved her. If only you knew what would transpire.
Sam held you close to her chest as her chin rested on top of your head. “Sam..” You softly said as you played with the hem of her shirt. She hummed before you continued. “I…I wanna tell you something.” Sam started sitting up while you sat up with her. You lifted yourself up by your arms and looked at her.
You now had her full attention and you were not going to waste it. “I love you, Sammy.” Sam’s breath immediately caught in her throat. “You…what?” She asked, although she heard you just fine.
“I love you,” you repeated, growing nervous.
“Oh..” Was all she said before getting up. You watched her movements as she walked over to gather her things.
“Oh?” You repeated nervously. “Yeah um, hey I’ve been thinking,” she started as you sat there on your bed.  “This isn’t really working. I think we should stop–” she gestured to you and her, “–this.”
All you could do was sit there as you tried to process the woman you loved deeply, shattering your heart as if it were glass. “Sam, what the hell are you talking about?” Your voice was soft yet demanding. You wanted answers.
“We can’t see each other anymore, Y/N.” Sam’s voice left no room for bargaining. When she saw you lightly flinch at her tone she had to resist reaching out to comfort you.
“I’m sorry,” she breathed. “I just think it’s better for both of us.” Bullshit, you thought.
“Tell me a reason. You at least owe me that.” You ignored the tear that fell from your eye as you spoke.
“You deserve more than me…”
Sam spent a lot of her days thinking about you. From the moment you walked into the apartment she had her eye on you. Kissing you for the first time was both her best and worst decision she had ever made. None of this was your fault. She knew what she was getting herself into that night she chose to press her lips onto yours. Risks would ensue and she was aware of that.
Sam felt like a fool for thinking she could have something to herself; something that has not touched the darkness from her past. But that’s just it; you were too good for her. She didn’t feel like she deserved you in any way shape or form. You were too good for her and this world.
That’s why breaking up with you hurts even more. Sam knew in the process of protecting you, she would have to break your heart.
“Sam, please don’t do this.” You were more than familiar with the older woman’s habit to overthink and get lost in her head.
“Please, just let yourself be happy for once,” you practically pleaded as you got up.
Sam averted her stare and swallowed a lump in her throat as she lightly shook her head. “You know I can’t…”
Samantha Carpenter would never allow herself to be happy. The realization of this set in as you look at her. “That’s disappointing,” you choked out.
“So, what was the point of all this?” The question had been on the tip of your tongue. Sam looks over to you with furrowed eyebrows before you elaborate. “Us. Was I just a hookup to you?” Sam hated that she made you question what you meant to her.
“Y/N…you will always be more than just a hookup. But we both knew how this was going to end,” Sam answered. If you bit your cheek any harder you could draw blood.
“No, actually. I didn’t. But I guess–” you let out a dry chuckle, “–you did Samantha. From the start, right? That, one of these nights you were gonna call me up again just to break me like a promise? Fuck I’m so stupid,” you mumbled the last part.
“Y/N that’s not what I meant–” She reached over to you but you pulled back as if she had burned you; in a way she did. She had just confessed to leading you on during your entire relationship with her. Sam never called it what it was.
“I know what you meant…” Memories of the incident at Christmas flicker in your mind when you say this.
“I’m sorry,” Sam mutters as she reaches for the door knob but not before giving you one last glance.
“Goodbye Y/N.”
“Goodbye Sam.”
Later that night, Sam was in her room holding your scarf closely as she cried more than she had ever cried before.
The memories of you flooded her mind, the moments you both shared before she lost the one real thing she’s ever known.
As soon as she left you broke down; letting everything you were holding in, out. Maybe you both got lost in translation, maybe you asked for too much. But maybe this thing was a masterpiece til’ she tore it all up. You would forever remember this day all too well.
