(it's official, I'm starting to write for the seven deadly sins!! I don't even know if there are fellow sds omegaverse enjoyers on this app?? but I noticed there isn't a single fic about them in an abo au! so I just had to :/)

ALPHA! MELIODAS

meliodas is a strong, reliable alpha. he's what you expect to find in most alphas.

he's confident in himself and his strength, he has a charismatic personality so suitable for his second gender. he has that natural charm which naturally draws others to him.

he might look like a child, but his instincts weight heavy on his mind and influence a lot his behaviour. he's able to keep them in check when necessary, but overall, they make him extremely sensitive to his omega's safety and well being.

he possesses such a strong unwavering loyalty for you, nothing can sway the love he harbours preciously for you. you can be sure he would go to great lengths to keep you safe, and would wreak havoc should suffering fall upon his beloved omega.

but despite his fierce and intimidating behaviour, meliodas is quick to reassure his omega in times of crisis and distress. that easy going demeanor of his, would instantly make you relax. if he tells you everything is fine, then it is true, you can put your mind at ease.

meliodas is also a big flirt, not even waiting for you to date to touch you inappropriately. he loves it when you shy away, softly scold him and deny the big blush on your cheeks. your flustered self always gives off a particularly sweet scent he absolutely craves.

however, don't let this flirtatious nature of him deceive you. as I said, mikey is fiercely loyal, once he's committed to you, he'll stand by you through thick and thin, his devotion and affection unshakable.

ALPHA! BAN

ban also is a great example of the alpha archetype. he has an arrogance only an alpha his calibre could possess.

he acts so sure of himself, throwing snarky remarks at anyone, not fearing their wrath anyways and even finding satisfaction in the fights he sparks.

he has strong pheromones and doesn't care about suppressing them, unless you're the one who lectures him about it.

despite everything, ban has a pure heart and treats you like you're made of porcelain. of course he teases you, but his whole demeanor completely changes around you. he takes care of you the way any good alpha should, he gives you your own space when you need it and gives you so much affection you'll never doubt his adoration.

similar to meliodas, ban knows no limits when it comes to protecting his omega. but unlike meliodas, he's also ready to throw any ounce of morality out of the window. you're the only thing that counts in his life, having you by his side is the only way he could ever feel happiness.

one might think ban is someone so uncaring of anybody's opinion, even his omega's. but despite his looks, this cocky alpha listens to you like you're his reason to live. you could ask him anything and he'll do it without a second thought.

he's so unexpectedly soft with you. he towers over you, so big and strong, his muscles and musky scent appearing intimidating to anyone but you. he speaks in a gentle tone, caressing your skin like it could break at any moment. he just loves you so much it hurts him to even go a day without you.

ALPHA! KING

such a gentle alpha! he wants the best for his omega. he's surprisingly soft and shy for an alpha, so others often don't recognize his second gender.

but despite his first impression, his protective instincts are a dead giveaway. he's insanely stressed about your well being, doubting everything and everyone. he's always making sure you're not hurting yourself, that you're eating enough and sleeping the correct amount of hours.

he would do anything for you as well and you're the only one who can spark such cute reactions out of him. he'll carry you on his pillow, making you fly in the air just to hear you laugh.

the only thing he wants is to smell you and scent you. just thinking about having his own pheromones on his adorable omega makes his heart melt. he's shaking just imagine how perfect you would look if he gave you his clothes, or if he made you your own clothes, watching you laying down on a nest he helped you build. he loves that vulnerable side of you, your undeniable trust in him makes him all soft.

and he hopes you'll always see him as an alpha worthy of your love. he wants to appear harmless to you, to represent a calming presence. staying by your side is his only concern.

ALPHA! GILTHUNDER

he's such a good alpha! you can't expect better for the job than him. he has a strong sense of duty to protect those under his care, his omega coming first.

you're his priority, every needs or wants of yours will be fulfilled by gilthunder.

he has a reassuring confidence, which makes you want to rely on him fully. you know he'll take care of you the best he can, until his death. not one day will you feel neglected or unloved with this man.

his high moral standards come from his noble upbringing, the place he was born makes him a respected alpha you can count on. he's extremely appreciated and by extension, his omega is well taken care of by the rest of the villagers too.

gilthunder is a soldier, that's why his protective instincts are even more present than any other alphas. your safety is his worry number one and he would die if something was to happen to you.

despite his imposing presence on the battlefield, gilthunder is remarkably soft and gentle. his omega is the most precious thing he has, he cherishes you like no one else can. his scent alone is enough to reassure you and put you at ease. he whispers kind words and praises, because in his eyes you're the most perfect being and he wants you to know it.

ALPHA! ESCANOR

he's completely and hopelessly devoted to his omega. in his eyes, you're the most beautiful person to ever walk on earth and he just feels blessed you chose to give him your precious affection.

your words are absolute, and escanor just want to breath the same air as you. but he still is an alpha, and sometimes when you're jeopardizing yourself, whether it's on purpose or not, escanor will have no choice but to ignore your complaints and drive you away from the danger.

he's constantly worried, please give him a break. he's also extremely thoughtful, gifting you things related to your interests. he wants to see you happy, and if he could be the reason behind your smiles, he would cry from the overwhelming joy himself.

now during daytime, escanor is slightly different. while his deep love for you stays the same, he has other ways to show you he cares.

whereas you could mistake escanor as a beta at night, in those moments his alpha status is unquestionable. he's big, strong, tall and arrogant. he has such a surge of dominance, instinctively taking care of situations that demand it.

his protective nature rises by ten times and you can be sure that nothing will ever harm you. he's watchful and alert all of the time, his scary face and intimidating pheromones enough of a warning for whoever wished to mess with you.

still, don't go thinking he's a brute who only sees you as a possession of his. his loyalty, just like the others, is unwavering. he places you before his own needs and shows you great tenderness all the time. he will stop everything he's doing if you asked him. he doesn't take orders from anyone but you!

Headcanons About Meliodas' Sleep

(Brought to you by this post and encouraged by @7-ratsinatrenchcoat)

Okay. First of all, demons are nocturnal. You cannot convince me otherwise. It's literally canon that they are at least twice as strong at night. You expect me to believe they just sleep through that? No chance. Demons are nocturnal; their sleepy time is the daytime.

Of course this doesn't mean they can only sleep during the day. Demons are as flexible with their sleep as any other race. They're also forced to be so more than any other race, given the war with races who very much are not nocturnal. But the best and most natural option for them is to sleep during the day.

Demons also need less sleep than humans.

Now Meliodas has always had a crappy sleep schedule. Between his father, Chandler, leading the Ten Commandments and the constant conflict with the goddesses, Meliodas doesn't have the time (or takes the time) to take care of himself properly.

His sleep especially suffers from this. Because not only does it not match the expectations placed on him, it also means leaving himself more open and vulnerable than he's comfortable with.

Because of this, Meliodas is also a very light sleeper; always alert in the case of a threat. The only times he actually sleeps deeply is when he feels completely safe (around people he trusts).

The first time it happened was with Elizabeth at Heaven's Theater. It wasn't something he planned to do, of course, but it was the first time in a long time that he actually felt at peace. (And even he can only go so long without any proper sleep). When Elizabeth noticed that he'd fallen asleep, she just let him sleep, keeping watch over him. It ended up being the best sleep he'd had in years.

After Meliodas joins Stigma, his sleep does not get any better. He doesn't have any more reason to feel safe there than he did in the Demon Realm, and with Stigma's members being diurnal, his opportunities to sleep during the day is significantly decreased (Ludociel is not about to accommodate for a demon's needs).

He technically could sleep during the night instead, but it's not something that comes naturally to him, and frankly, he doesn't like it. So when he can get away with it, he doesn't. Instead, he gets his sleep mostly through naps of varying lengths during the day.

Elizabeth, Gloxinia and Drole all work together to make sure that Meliodas gets the sleep that he needs. They do this by giving Meliodas time to sleep, distracting Ludociel, keeping non-demon friendly Stigma members away, and just watching over him.

As much as possible, they try to make sure at least one of them is by his side as he sleeps. Because he sleeps a lot better around people he trusts, but also because otherwise they'd have to trust him to take care of his own sleep (and as we've already established, he sucks at this).

After the curse, things get a lot worse before they get better. During that first time (before he meets Elizabeth's first reincarnation), Meliodas just goes through the motions. Sometimes he's awake/walks until he collapses, sometimes he sleeps for days; caught up in his grief and burdened by his newfound immortality.

Starting with the Elizabeths, Meliodas finally regains some regularity back into his sleep. Mostly because he needs to keep her safe, needs to figure out a way to break the curse; but also because she's always Elizabeth, she always cares about him and his well-being.

Adjusting to a human sleeping schedule is hard. Over the years, Meliodas develops some hybrid sleep pattern. He sleeps some during the nights, but also stays awake through most of them and sleeps during the day whenever he can.

Meliodas' sleep is at its best when he's with Elizabeth and/or have something that requires him to keep to a proper schedule.

Meliodas still sucks at taking care of himself though and will often mess up his sleep up. Something Merlin has been on his case about many times over the years; there have been threats of violence.

For that she is grateful for more than one reason when they gather the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins. With how close they are all living, how close they are all working, Meliodas has less openings to fuck upp his sleep. Especially since the other Sins don't know that he is a demon, meaning they expect him to keep to a human sleep schedule. If he fucks it up, they notice, and they care.

Meliodas also feels a lot of responsibility for the other Sins, so he's more careful about making sure he gets his sleep, so not to mess up their chances at a better life.

He still doesn't like sleeping at night, however, so he works around that whenever he can. For example, insisting on keeping watch during the night while the others sleep.

This also means he frequently takes naps during the day. It's something that the others think is weird at first, but over the years they just accept it as a quirk of their captain.

Meliodas has the habit of falling asleep randomly and pretty much anywhere, when around the other Sins. He knows that even if these people don't know the truth about him, they will have his back. So he feels safe around them, and relaxes enough to fall asleep. And when I say anywhere, I mean ANYWHERE. Just as long as someone else of the Sins is nearby.

Mostly it happens when they're alone, just the Seven Deadly Sins. But sometimes it has happened in more public situations. If anyone would dare to say anything about the captain of the legendary Seven Deadly Sins falling asleep "inappropriately", well, they'd be quickly shut down by the rest.

After the Seven Deadly Sins are framed and forced into hiding, Meliodas struggles not to fall back into bad habits. It's mostly keeping to his routines (running the tavern, being around Hawk, etc.) that keeps him from slipping too badly.

It's hard though, not being around the people who he feels most safe with. Thankfully, the Boar Hat gives him privacy at least, letting him be more relaxed.

Being away from Elizabeth is the hardest. The not knowing what's going on with her. He knows she's alive, because the curse says she'll die in front of him. But that's only a small comfort, and over the decade her fate and well-being sometimes keeps him awake both night and day.

After his secret/race is properly revealed, Meliodas is more open with his sleep. His sleep doesn't really change much compared to before, but the way he deals with it does. He's all lot more honest about it - yeah, he hasn't slept yet, it's night, he doesn't really feel like sleeping.

The others approach it differently now too. It's not just an odd quirk of their captain, it's part of his nature. This means that if he wants to sleep during the day, he should sleep during the day. Of course, they've always let him do that, but now they're more adamant about it (not even Meliodas is allowed to get in the way of Meliodas' natural sleep kind of adamant).

As king of Liones, Meliodas doesn't always have the luxury of sleeping whenever he wants to - but he still keeps to more of a hybrid sleep pattern. He loves falling asleep with Elizabeth, so he will sleep some during the night. But will also stay awake most of it and take some nap during the day - depending on the day and the state of the kingdom/his duties that day.

When Tristan was little, he and Meliodas used to nap together during the day (you know, something like this).

Random Headcanons

- Fairies smoke. They get high, oh they get so high. (Thanks @sydns for putting this idea in my head lol) The Fairy King's Forest has a spot where one can find the highest quality of herbs, one of the reasons why humans try to enter the forest in the first place. There are also far more crazier things that can be found in the Fairy Realm. None of the Sins know that King smokes because he didn't during his time with the Sins, his argument being that humans don't sell the good stuff. The first time anyone has actually seen King and Elaine smoke is at Gilthunder and Margaret's wedding.

- Goddess shed their feathers as they grow. It's kind of a weird sight to see

- Goddess and Fairies are known to have beautiful voices. The question of whose better is very subjective depends on who you ask. When a Goddess sings they bring a heavenly and ethereal feel. When a Fairy sings it's more enchanting and whimsical.

- Lancelot slept on Chastiefol once. Best nap ever.

- Lancelot became a bit overprotective over the Percy Platoon after the incident because he doesn't want anyone getting hurt again

- Lancelot didn't speak to Sixtus for months after Sixtus received Magliastira. Lance is just upset he didn't get a cool weapon

- Mael cried when he found out that Tristan named his swords after him

- Meliodas would sometimes talk to the horses in the castle stables, sometimes Ban would join in. King apologizes to the horses on their behalf

- Lancelot and Sixtus would use birds to carry messages to each other.

- Gowther taught Tristan how to curse in Demon language

- Gowther is Sixtus' favorite Uncle. "His weirdness is endearing." Sixtus said.

- Zeldris and Mael would sometimes have their own little tea parties in the Demon Realm. Meliodas found out about it and got upset he wasn't invited. "You don't even like tea." Zeldris argued. "That's not the point! It's the thought that matters, it's about a get together between brothers" after that they invited Meliodas, he really didn't last long.

Seven Deadly Headcanons

Or seven thoughts I have about the Seven Deadly Sins.

Ban has definitely gone Gordon Ramsey on Meliodas at some point for not only his terrible cooking but also because he can't organize a kitchen for shit.

Ban spent several nights reorganizing the Boar Hat's kitchen and has a system for keeping things tidy. Meliodas once messed with this organization system and Ban's response was putting up a sign that said Meliodas was banned from the kitchen. The ban was lifted only when Meliodas put things back in their place. He's banned from cooking but not from being in the kitchen.

Due to his rough circumstances growing up, Ban is very insistent on the Sins getting their three meals a day. He'll even make accommodations or adjustments to dishes to make sure that they can appeal to others. No one is going hungry when Ban's around. Even Gowther - who probably doesn't need to eat due to him being a doll - is not immune from this.

Gowther has a soft spot for romance novels and he and Merlin have a lil' book club where they discuss their current reads. Escanor and Diane joined in eventually.

I feel that most of the Sins would be bilingual multilingual headcanons my beloved . Meliodas, Gowther, and Merlin would know the demon's language. Meliodas would try learning the goddesses' language because of Elizabeth and Merlin would already know it and she'd probably know Welsh. King would know the fairy's language and whatever Liones' vernacular is. And while Ban may not be as fluent in it, he's trying to learn the fairy's language from Elaine and King. And yes, Benwick would be a bilingual kingdom and you can pry that headcanon from my cold, dead hands. Also, Diane would know both Liones vernacular and the giants' language. Actually, King would also know the giants' language. Escanor would know multiple human languages.

Ban was lowkey having the mother of all panics when Elaine was pregnant because he didn't want to mess up as a parent and wanted Lancelot to have a good childhood. So when Lancelot and Jericho disappeared, that time was just really rough for him because emotions are a bitch and he was just constantly blaming himself. If he had done something, then his son wouldn't have disappeared.

During Lancelot's disappearance, Ban developed a tradition of pouring out a bottle of Aberdeen on the night of his son's disappearance. Also, he was kind of forced into more healthy ways of coping because without his immortality, he couldn't fall back into self-harm. And he couldn't drink himself senseless because he had a kingdom to lead as the king of Benwick.

Ban is still immortal. I'll be damned if he ages at human pace while his son, wife, best friend, and teammates outlive him. Also it's just too badass to throw away conceptually

Elizabeth is much more similar to her goddess/Liz personality after her memories/revival

Merlin isn't evil, Arthur isn't evil, neither of them care/know about chaos. Yeah. Straight denial of the main 4kota plotline. Yea.

I just rlly love merlin and I dislike this characterization

Escanor's alive. Bc I like him. He's a good kid. Maybe he and Merlin can be together as a treat for them both

Meliodas and Elizabeth (and Zeldris) were pretty young when they were cursed/sealed and are going to look older in a century or two. They're straight up just babies frozen in time and they'll look older than like 15 soon enough

Elaine too. She can still be short and petite and have short hair but like... just age up her face a bit damn

The sins waited (much) longer to have kids, are actually good parents, and raise their kids together - they overall stay together bc why have found family just to break them apart in the end, that's dumb

This is canon but never utilized but Elizabeth is just powerful as fuck and will use her powers bc she's a bad ass

Ban and Meliodas have fucked. This is not particularly important and is technically canon compliant but like... come on... they're too boyfriend coded to have not fucked in the long years in which both of their loves were dead/a child. They fucked.

Jericho doesn't have a character assassination and settles down with a lesbian lover. Maybe Guila. But is family to Ban. And is def not a p*do with his son. Because what the actual fuck

Howzer (best boy) gets bitches. Maybe Guila. Maybe they're in a throuple. Idk. But I want him to find love

Dreyfus and Hendy (also best boy) are gay. Again, this one feels low key canon compliant. But yeah, they're dating

Tristan is proud of both his demon and goddess heritage, or at least he and Meliodas are on journeys of self acceptance together bc they're bad ass and I love them, especially as demons

Hawk Mama is still a weirdly goated mystery pig. Just kinda chaotic neutral being who just rlly likes being in the ground and having a bar on her back. Also Cath isn't fucking evil. I miss Cath

Okay that's all I can think of for now. But yeah. I am fucking delusional so I truly believe all of these things. They're canon. I'll add more as I think of them

The Seven Deadly Sins if they played Minecraft

I love minecraft. Imagine this is like a modern AU but they also have all their abilities and stuff still.

-They all have a realm together. Meliodas owns it.

-Ban and Meliodas can’t build for shit and have little dirt houses.

-Elaine, Elizabeth and Diane have a cute girl house that they share (they looked up the design on pinterest) and they let them sleep there in exchange for mining goods and loot

-King builds the most extravagant house ever and Diane eventually moves in with him. He has a dog named Oslow

-Merlin knows how to make all of the potions by heart

-She absolutely stole a villager’s house and sleeps there

-I like to imagine Escanor (daytime) would hype his house up so much and be like “This house is the pinnacle of our village” and it just looks like this

-Gowther builds a humble little home. It’s very beautiful but it’s not very spacious. It’s simply good for what he needs. He got a cat called Nadja.

-Gowther is also CEO of farming crops. King is CEO of farming animals (Ban breeds them and kills them for meat when he’s not looking because King finds it cruel)

-Meliodas also has a parrot named Wandle

-Escanor writes poems in books and quills and leaves them signed as “Author Unknown” and leaves them in an item frame on Merlin’s doorstep. She knows it’s him but doesn’t have the heart to tell him she knows.

-Merlin somehow has every single rare mob in the game in little glass cases.

-Gowther doesn’t need to sleep so he stays up all night mining and everyone will wake up and he’ll be like “Hey guys i’ve got 269 diamonds you want some?”

-Merlin forces Orlandi to take over the computer and strip mine for her while she does her real life work and experiments

-They invited Zeldris and he was like “Minecraft? That’s a game for little babies. Call me when you’re playing Fortnite like real men”

-Meliodas and Ban probably fought the wither while everyone else was offline and they just came onto their game to find their village blown up and a beacon in the middle of the wreckage.

-King dies all the time to the most random shit. Lightning strikes, fall damage, baby zombies. Once he tried to prank Ban back by leading a creeper into his dirt hut but in the process the creeper got struck by lightning and became charged and absolutely demolished King.

-Diane can’t build to save her life but she takes designs off Pinterest and then pretends she came up with them all on her own

-Elaine is a god at building. She decorates their whole village with lanterns and cherry blossom petals

-Elizabeth can somewhat build but often needs inspiration

-Ban has a horse he named “Young Sheldon”

-They have a discord server and King is the mod. He has constant power trips. The only one who has admin privileges is Diane.

-Escanor kills every mob he can and puts their drops in item frames on his wall as “Reminders of the ones who couldn’t pass him”

a lot of them didn’t really get along at the start - i think merlin probably found ban really difficult just because of their different (and both quite strong) personalities, i think king and diane never really got along that well with gowther because of the whole memories thing.

meliodas is surprisingly mature in his captaincy - the reason he made the 7th rule was to attempt to overcome these personality clashes. having to deal with the ten commandments, who were probably even more difficult, he had a great grip on activities they could do to get to know each other better. i think meliodas has a good understanding of how a team needs to work in order to get shit done and he leads to the best of his ability

the seven rules that meliodas came up with, while they are good, he was completely drunk when he made them

i think merlin would have been surprisingly immature all things considered. as we know from her past, she grew up quite sheltered and never really got the chance to really develop her personality. despite being incredibly smart i think she’s somewhat socially unaware.

everyone (except meliodas and merlin) assumed gowther was this really buff dude because of the suit of armour. imagine the surprise.

gowther (and sometimes merlin) casually bring up events from 3000 years ago just to stir the pot a bit, and to piss off meliodas to some extent

they totally fought over which sin each of them was going to represent. they don’t talk about them after this because they had a plan to get drunk one night and decide, so gowther could remember what they’d chosen in the morning and erase their memories of the others telling them about what their sins were. of course gowther already knows anyway :)

on that, they are all locked in a room (maybe by zaratras) until they can sort out what sins each of them were going to be. some were obvious, some less so. some were stretches to some extent. meliodas claimed wrath immediately and gave no explanation, everyone kind of just went with it

i completely hc that merlin and ban fought over who was greed and who was gluttony because they’re a similar concept. just,,, screaming at each other, ban threatening to fight,

meliodas got PISSED

they were all pretty on board with the matching tattoos idea bc they thought it would be fun

they came up with their own lore “seven dAnGeRoUs criminals brandished with the mark of the beasts”, and everyone in liones took that a bit too seriously

ban is a little shit - i think this is implied but like yeah

meliodas forced them to go camping together a lot- which prepared them pretty well for when they were actually on the run from the law and had to find food and stuff

as time went on their relations improved pretty drastically… merlin and ban learned to respect each other, meliodas was still a great captain

Tristan

My boy is transfeminine and a PROUD bi-mlm (bi w/pref for men) icon 🥰 While he was born with male pronouns, he's very feminine leaning but doesn't really mind any pronouns used for him, so he's a little agender as well. He's found that he is attracted to both genders but most definitely prefers men (COUGHS LANCELOT COUGHS).

2. Lancelot

GAAAAAY!!!!! This is a one hundred and twelve thousand percent GAAAAAAAY man right here. But, in saying that, he's is ALSO aromantic as he has an extremely hard time forming a romantic bond with another person whatsoever. Sure, he'll go out and have fun with other guys from time to time, but he's never felt any romantic feelings for another, everything is just purely sexual whenever he has these 'encounters' (...enter one Tristan Liones. and Lancelot's whole world is flipped upside down).

3. Percival

AAAAA Percy my beloved 🥰 my boy is proudly Pansexual! He'll find himself being attracted to anyone no matter how they identify! All that matters to him is what's in your heart. But, he's also demisexual as he very rarely forms sexual attraction to those around him. He DOES have a big fat ginormous crush on Naisens though! Although he doesn't really realize it lol.

4. Gawain

GAWAIN MY BUTCH LESBIAN ICON!!! She's VERY much into women and women ONLY! She's never had an attraction to men, in fact she thinks that the whole world would be better if there were only women (oml same queen). She's not a very feminine leaning lesbian which is why I assigned her the butch lesbian flag! She prefers to present more masculine-like as she wants to be seen as strong and dominant, but does not identify nor use male pronouns.

5. Naisens

That kid is non-binary all the WAAAAY and Nakaba PLEASE you have the chance to do the funniest thing ever and make it canon with Naisens PLEEEEAAAAAASE. Post-time skip Naisens uses they/them pronouns and dresses more neutral to not assume either or any gender. They're also pansexual! Any gender, any sexuality works with them as long as your name is Percival LMFAO

I have this constant image in my head for way later in the rewrite of Zeldris being extremely clingy after he decides that Meliodas is cool again.

But like

Clingy in the way a cat is.

Is he currently perched on Meliodas' shoulders, practically wrapped around his entire head and horns, tail wrapped entirely around his waist, and absolutely purring up a storm? Yes.

Has he been doing this for the last 5 consecutive hours? Also yes.

Is he going to acknowledge the fact that he's doing this? No, no he will not, and neither will anyone else as long as he can stare threateningly at anyone who sees him with those big ol' eyes.

Meliodas doesn't acknowledge this, either. Every time he does, Zeldris tries to bite him.

HELLO, ITS BEEN A LONG ACCIDENTAL HIATUS, BUT I RETURN TO YOU WITH A NEW MELIZABETH HEADCANON

I have just realized that my boyfriend can tell apart the Itty bitty differences between my blinks, and what they means.

"I'm processing, give me a second."

"What the fuck are you on about?"

"Keep talking, I'm listening."

"The fuck are they on about?"

"Woah, no shit?"

"Fuck, that's awful."

"I'm losing my patience, stfu."

He can TELL now. And it is honestly probably the most romantic thing I find about him right now, that he pays enough attention to know them all.

Now with that stated, I'd like to give a headcanon.

When Meliodas first joins STIGMA, he's not exactly expressive or conversational beyond the bare minimum to convey information.

But Elizabeth can read him like a book. Which means that she'll translate for him in conversations, glancing at him, and then conveying his opinion

"He thinks that's fucking adorable"

"He knows what you're feeling, and he's sorry."

"Meliodas believes that's a terrible strategy."

He learns to be more expressive as time goes on, but sometimes when he's upset or stressed, he still goes blank to the average eye.

Her ability to read him carries on into her reincarnations. Meliodas is caught off guard by this at first, and takes very careful measures to conceal his inner thoughts, sometimes suppressing them altogether, so she doesn't catch that little twitch of his brows and figure out some little thing she's done caused him grief. (Usually, a little habit of hers that carries over as well, like that tendency to nibble her lip when she's thinking that goes back to the very first.)

It triggered her memories once. Never again.

But the sins are having a conversation, and Princess Elizabeth glances out of the corner of her eye at Meliodas, and frowns. Trying to be as polite as possible, she requests that King "please stop using your daggers as darts so close to the taverns main door, as it's making Sir Meliodas a bit anxious." And he stills, giving her a startled look, then glancing at his captain who - shockingly - gains a slight flush of pink to the tops of his cheeks. He clears his throat. "I'm just concerned someone might walk in at the wrong time is all. Wouldn't want you scaring away my customers!" He brushes off with a joke.

It becomes a habit, Elizabeth glancing at their Captain and - completely unaware of the fact she's telling the sins his carefully concealed thoughts - makes his opinions knowledge to the team.

They eventually get over their startled reactions, brushing it off as human royalty being trained to read their court and nobles or... something, and just start to look to her to translate him when he's being stubbornly silent. The only one who can read him half as well when he's like that is Merlin, who they all know has a lengthy past with him, though not what that past is.

The one time she'd been asked if she knew how Elizabeth could do that - maybe she had a dormant empathy or telepathy magic? - she just got this secret little smile, put a finger against her lips, and teleportated away.

Hey…it’s been a long while..well, maybe it can be my comeback era? lots has changed since i last came to write on here, but lets see where this takes us, I missed everyone on here! 😣🩷🩷

Pairing: Meliodas x reader

Now you were usually the type of person who loved a clingly s/o, you yourself being a clingy person

But lately you have been in a bad mood due to a lot of bad things happening at one time making you feel like bad luck is following you

Naturally in your mind you wanted to be alone and calm yourself down but

“Y/nnn~~ i missed you where have you been?” Meliodas sung as you walked back into the boars hat, he seemed excited about something

You had just gotten back from going on a walk to try and calm down your irritable mood but you ended up tripping during the walk and hurting your ankle, now you were only more mad

You sighed as you walked around the bar place and rummaged through one of the cabinets for a bottle of liqour

“Y/n~ don’t ignore me!” Meliodas pouted as you put down the liquor on the counter and sighed once more putting a hand on your forehead

“Nothing Meli, i went for a walk and came back, i’m not ignoring you” you say as you take a cup and pour the bitter substance into it till it almost overflowed

“Oh i see, where did you go? did you have fun? oh i also noticed you were limping did something happen?” He asks as you walk from behind the counter to one of the tables

“Walk, no and yes” you answer bluntly as you begin to lift the cup to your mouth

“Y/n!~ whats wronggg you seem so mad come on stop giving me these short answersss” Meliodas whined as he tried to hug you but that caused your hand to shake and the drink in your hand to spill all over you

Meliodas backed up quickly as he looked at you speechless for a second

“Oh my god Y/n I’m really-“

“God Meliodas just- you don’t need to cling to me like a life line every single day, ugh god so annoying i must seriously have bad luck” you say with a hiss as you stand up from your seat to go get paper towels and a change of clothes

You missed how Meliodas’s smile faltered for a second and his voice died out

But it didn’t last long until he smiled again, though this one seemed a lot more forced as you walked back into the main area with paper towels

“Ah I’m sorry Y/n, here let me help you” he says as he approaches you but you hold up your hand

“Its fine, just, I don’t know” you say as you walk past him to clean up the mess

His smile once again falls before it goes back up

“Okay..uh, I’m gonna go for a walk myself, I’ll see you in a few!” He says and you mumble as he left

After you finished cleaning the mess you sighed getting up, you threw away the dirty paper towels and made your way to you and Meliodas’ shared room

You opened the door then closed it behind yourself as you began to strip from your now sticky and wet clothes

As you threw your dirty clothes into the hamper your eyes caught something on the bed

You turned around from the mirror and made your way to the bed, you raised a brow as you pulled the letter slightly sticking out from under your pillow out

You sat down as you opened it carefully and began to read the contents

Dear Y/n

For some reason lately it seems your not in the best mood. You don’t seem like you want to tell me whats making you so mad yet but that’s okay, I can wait. You put the letter down as you lifted up your pillow entirely as you saw a box

You picked it up and opened it as you slightly gasped

It was a ruby necklace that had caught your eye one time while you and Meliodas were exploring a town festival

You had been sad you couldn’t get it because you and Meliodas didn’t bring any more not expecting to buy anything

But Meliodas must’ve gone back to get it, just for you

Your face distorted into a frown as you remembered your outburst on your boyfriend

You hadn’t mean to come off as if you were annoyed at him specifically, its just everything piled up and you blew up at him, not that it’s justified with that stupid excuse

“Im a horrible girlfriend..” you muttered

You got up as you quickly dressed, you didn’t even grab a jacket before leaving the boars hat in a rush

You ran to the closest town looking around for your boyfriend, you looked left and right in fast movements

You started stopping inside of different bars until finally the last one you checked

Your eyes landed on your boyfriends fluffy blonde hair, he was in one of the booths, you made your way over and sat down with him as he drank

Meliodas took one last gulp of his beer before looking at you with a pout, you frowned deeply

“Babe..I’m really sorry, I didn’t mean to go off on you like that, it’s just a lot of bad things were happening one after another and I just” You sigh deeply “I shouldn’t have blown up on you, it’s 100% my fault, there’s no excuse for what I said, I’m really sorry” You say bowing your head

It’s silent for a minute before Meliodas’ voice breaks you out of your position

“What you said really hurt my feelings”

“And I’ll apologize over and over again for that” You say as sincere as you can because you mean it, what you did was wrong

Meliodas pouts for a few more seconds before smiling, slightly catching you off guard

“Okay! I’ll forgive you if you let me stay in your room for a few nights!” He says with a grin and you sigh deeply but smile as well

“I guess that’s the least I can do”

“Exactly!”
