Master A Simple Soft Layered Haircut To Impress Clients

I'm curious if your shelters adoption fees are comparable to the adoption fees of other shelters in your area, you get a decent number of purebred rescues in plus you have a good amount of individual space fore each cat as far as I can see and I know theirs some rescues that have higher fees than others for all kinds of reasons

Our adoption fees are definitely higher than the county animal shelter. Their fees are typically as follows:

Kittens - 120 dollars

Adults 1-6 years - 100 dollars

Seniors 6+ years old - 55 dollars

They do events where adoption fees for all animals drop to 50 dollars, senior-for-senior events where seniors can adopt senior animals for free, and kitten events where they are adopted out for ten dollars.

The local SPCA's fees are:

Kittens - 150

Adult cat over 6 months-7 years - 110

Senior cats 8+ years - 65

They don't do as many events but they do take part in the senior-for-senior program.

My rescue is one of the only two cat specific rescues in my area. The other cat specific fees are:

Kitten under 6 months - 175, 300 for a pair

Adult cat (over 6 months, under 8 years) - 125 each, 200 for a pair

Seniors (over 8 years) - 50 each

Barn cats - 50 each

I'm unsure if they do events, but I know they do the senior-for-senior program.

My rescue's adoption fees are generally based off of age, purebred status, if you're getting a bonded pair, and health.

Domestic shorthair/longhair/mediumhair kittens: 100 dollars, unless you're getting a pair. Then you get two for 120.

Domestic shorthair/longhair/mediumhair adults: 75 dollars, unless there's a bonded pair. Then it's 125 for the pair.

Purebred kitten: 375 dollars, unless it's a bonded pair. Then it's 550 for a pair.

Purebred adult: 175 dollars, unless it's a bonded pair. Then it's 300 for the pair. This price can be bumped up for highly in demand cats. Saia's adoption fee was 275, because she's a savannah and because she was kind of between kitten-adult status.

Seniors and cats with special needs have reduced fees. I paid 43 dollars for Yardstick--- basically, I just had to cover his vaccines and FeLV/FIV test.

The fees don't pay for the staff or for the facility; that all comes from the boarding facility. The adoption fees are used exclusively for cat costs and go directly to the rescue.

I'm not sure how the abysinnians will be priced, but I suspect it'll be a higher fee than usual due to the VERY high demand we're going to see. I'm guessing the kittens will be 500 each (housed in another foster home, please don't ask for pics! The foster mother is very private and would prefer no pictures of her home appear online).

Random question but Anu is a lil floof man, yeah? I know with my fluffy cat I have to brush her often but luckily she loves it. Does Anu? Or does he really need brushing often?

he is a floof !! he’s technically a mediumhair boy, so his coat isn’t quite as full or floofy as a longhair. it definitely still requires brushing, and is more prone to matting as his fur is a lot finer. he doesn’t like being brushed really at all but sometimes he’ll tolerate it. he gets groomed at the vet twice a year (should be more often, but unfortunately it’s kinda expensive) where they do routine maintenance like snipping away his matted fur and clipping his nails. i zonk him up on CBD treats so it’s less uncomfortable for him :)

Vongola 10th generation squad (+Byakuran and Kyoko) based on @bonesetblues​‘s KHR/BNHA crossover curiosity kills the cat (but satisfaction brings it back)

As yet in the fic only Tsunayoshi and Byakuran have actual established cat forms, so I was like,,, WHEEEE Tsuna I did him as a cinnamon classic tabby longhair. Not actually doing him as a Norwegian Forest Cat, but I did base his facial structure on one a bit. (And it is quite funny to envision him going from being one of the smallest of his agemates to having a good kilo on them) Byakuran Longhair, high white spotting over lilac (with a carried point gene because even carried it can affect the eyes sometimes). Also wings. He came out kinda Eh sadly, I think Hayato Mediumhair blue silver spotted mackerel tabby. Something about him gave me spotted tabby vibes (and hey, kinda a shoutout to Uri), and I got to make his facial markings be a shourout to his glasses. Takeshi Shorthair black solid, very low white spotting. Homozygous for Japanese Bobtail (fun fact, Japanese Bobtail is a Partial Dominance gene- with only one JB gene, the cat has a shorter than normal kinked tail instead). I actually concluded that Bobtail was a very fun idea for Takeshi, because it’d make him a lot harder to read. You can’t really see the emotions the tail would convey if the tail is that short, after all; like how Takeshi generally gives off cheerful vibes all the time, shrouding his actual thoughts. Kyoya Black solid mediumhair, with very oriental-type build and head structure. Lambo Did him as a kitten because, well. him young. Gave him Laperm-type curled fur, since Lambo has fairly curly hair (he’d be medium or longhair, but, well, kittenfluff) and curled ears (to reference his lightning horns). Black solid with medium white spotting forming patches to reference his general cow theming. Chrome Blue solid shorthair (pale/light blue). Gave her some white hairs to indicate scars because,,, how, exactly, did she end up losing an eye and internal organs and not have scars? (even if the accident didn’t leave any somehow, surely there were medical proceedures at some point that would have?) Mukuro Blue solid mediumhair (dark blue). You know, I didn’t realise his other eye was blue until right now? (Although I’m a manga reader so) Also his Eye of Reincarnation is drawn in its third path, Path of Beasts, because I Thought It Was Funny. Ryohei Shorthair blue silver classic tabby with extreme ticking and rufousing, and a little white spotting. I actually have other incarnations of Ryohei. Still a bit iffy on how our attempt at his markings/colouration came out here. (alternate version that can’t be put here because of image limit is a red tabby with very high white spotting, with his red patches being in more unusual spots than you’d usually have, and slightly higher rufousing than Kyoko)

Kyoko Longhair red classic tabby with extreme ticking and less extreme rufousing than her brother, and low white spotting on her nose. (have an alternate version is the same but just, classic tabby instead of ticked classic tabby, but again, don’t have the image allowance to put that in this post) Other characters who we are considering doing: Xanxus- gives me real strong longhair/ medium-high rufousing / black classic tabby vibes. Probably built like a maine coon. Big beefy boy. Squalo- It’d be kinda funny to have him be a shorthair? Just because imagining how he’d flip out given the reason he has longhair is mildly amusing. Blue silver broken mackerel tabby to go for shark gill/scale vibes. Maybe some white spotting? Reborn- author of the fic thinking melanistic serval, me over here going “would a black savanna cat or a very small black cat be funnier?” Like, a savanna cat is 100% going to cause chaos, they’re leggy and they’re a hybrid breed that’s still using the rather unfortunate wild ancestors (unlike Bengals which are now a... what’s it called, a fixed breed? and no longer use their progenitor species) so the non-domestic genes are still very much there. A savanna is tall enough to open your doors easily. But on the other hand, having a tiny black thing doing all the same things despite the size IS very funny to think about. Expected vs unexpected chaos, I guess? those are the only other ones that really wandered through my mind while I was doing these, but maybe others will in time

it’s always nice doing these little get-togethers with Liberty’s other boyfriends and girlfriends and joyfriends. everyone’s always in a really good mood for these sort of things.

nighttime concerns me though, because at night we have to figure out who gets to sleep in Liberty’s bed with her. the new guy’s been sleeping with her a lot, since that’s the tradition for the new people Liberty’s dating. there’s a lot of us here right now though, which means there’ll be someone else wanting to sleep with them too. I wouldn’t mind myself, actually.

in fact, i’m a little jealous of Dororo because of that. he gets to sleep with her no matter what, because he’s short. half the time Liberty just holds him like a stuffed animal when she sleeps. but like, he could probably just lay on her lap too, like a cat. and i think that’s really cute. i wanna lay on her lap like a cat. i wonder what cat i should be. i’d say a british shorthair, but i don’t think my hair’s short enough. maybe i can be a british mediumhair. yeah, i like that.
