collecting flowers and just giving them to everyone when hes bored
horrible at combat, would die even if you gave him literally everything
just kinda robs villagers for fun
keeps getting killed by aran to the point where its not funny anymore

doing very well, just forgot his base's door open once and had the worst experience of his life but everything else is fine
had to carry joe & kaiser through the game but gave up when Kaiser got sent to the nether somehow
likes doing water bucket trips, convinced joe he could do it with a milk bucket and laughed at him for a while
keeps throwing hands with don for no reason
became a beast once he found note blocks and discs

absolute menace, likes building traps around his base to keep others out, got a business building traps for others in exchange for resources
just got lots of resources, built a cute house, got a dog and just farmed for fun, sometimes has other boxers come into his nice little house
stealing joe's flowers for his aesthetic house
chased bear hugger across the map for fun
★ piston hondo ★
actually finishing the game, practically speedrunning it
was the first one to get a full set of diamond, really happy about it
stealing everything from the villagers, down to the houses and everything
struggling with redstone
tried to build a exp farm but accidentally crashed his computer
Has a army of bees he uses terrorize everyone
★ bear hugger ★
goofing around and just chatting with everyone for funsies
got killed by a pufferfish while trying to kill it
secretly adds onto Disco's stone pile by adding 1 (one) stone every time he adds another one
has 30 crafting tables and is hayr hiding them in everyone elses bases
throws eggs at Hippo everytime he tries to chase him again
fistfighting fish in the sea like they killed his family or something

just breaks into everyone elses bases sometimes to say hello or show them some stuff he got
somehow surviving without a base
had his diamonds stolen by hondo for speedrunning purposes
got a cat and takes care of it like its his child, anyone who attempts to hurt it gets griefed to death
scared of the sounds coming from the mines
tried to sleep in the nether, 10 dead 20 injured
extremely invested in the "bear hugger fighting fish" saga

trying to build the cutest house ever, keeps getting it griefed by Hippo, there can only be one pretty house in this server
went to the end early somehow and got his ass kicked by the dragon
tried to eat rotten flesh and died. twice
tried to join Tiger in the mines but he kept screaming from the sounds so Tiger chased him away
set Hippos house on fire at one point

absolutely devious, keeps setting everyone on fire, trapped Kaiser in the nether
demolished Disco kids base, by demolished i mean took EVERYTHING down, including the walls and everything and only left his bed there
keeps hiding spider spawners under dons house for fun
Hondo and Hippo teamed up to kill him but failed thanks to the questionable amount of tnt he has
may or may not have creative mod on
★ soda popinski ★
doing his best but keeps getting unlucky, every zombie targets him, hondo keeps taking his food and has the worst rng ever
keeps fighting macho, has a very bad arena like area near his base where just fights people inside it,bare hands only
had a pet fox that jumped DIRECTLY into lava the second he got it, had a funeral for it & everything
Got struck by lightning 2 times in a row somehow

Just attacking everyone & everything with everything hes got
likes robbing aran specifically for his stash of weapons & tnt
got trapped by aran in bedrock jail when he went afk, aran was generous enough to give him some food & a bed, got his jail titled "bald dude enclosure"
got chased by dogs after he hit one accidentally
fighting soda & macho for fun

hanging out with soda and bugging him
laughed at a house he built for 10 minutes because it looked ugly, its a landmark for everyone now along with "bald dude enclosure"
tried to kill a iron golem after he found it coming for him while he tried to kill a villager
turned on creative mode and just built himself the iconic diamond house and just toured the place

actually beat the ender dragon & focused on the game but that didnt stop him from robbing others occassionally for fun
keeps having sand blocks given to him with the message "This you?"
audibly screamed "NOOO" When he saw bear hugger lose the fight against the pufferfish
Has a underground base that Tiger somehow found instantly
thinks the enchanting table looks pretty
kept throwing stuff at bull while he was in bald dude enclosure

I sewed another pair of jeans into a skirt 💚 and i'm so incredibly pleased with it! I fucked up a little bit when I widened the body part of it, so that's why I added the black strips down the side, to hide my failures c: and I'm glad it happened, because the strips are now my favourite part of the skirt.
I made it the same way as this skirt, only the pant legs were wider so it ended up being longer! and of course added more "bling" ☆
I'm so happy with it, and I think this might be my favourite skirt now (as if I don't say that every time I make a new one)
I just think this way of repurposing too small/ill fitting jeans are one of the raddest ways to upcycle. ⋆₊✩⊹˚

i made a bigger adult blanket!
really liked these colors but they only came in the large size so i decided to make a blanket a little smaller than the size of my bed
didn’t feel like making granny squares this time, wanted something i wouldn’t have to join afterwards
my dad says it would have made a cool shawl or i could have put a hood on it when i was around halfway done diagonally; he was right but my original goal was blanket so i kept going lol
@crazy-fangirl-probs-rants suggested blocking it (steaming the ends that were curling to flatten them out)

I haven't played eso (or any game that requires a mouse) properly (I've been logging in every day for login bonuses) since the year started because of my hands. I saw a physical therapist in January and have been doing exercises since then, and they helped to a decent extent but my pain has since plateaued, and gaming still irritates my hands very quickly (especially eso. it has very very repetitive combat and there's no way to turn the sprint into a toggle), so I haven't been able to pick it back up yet.
#im also starting to get really fucking jaded by the inventory and storage systems#i dont want to spend however much money a month JUST for the crafting bag when its up in the air if I can even play it every month#i wish i could just get the crafting bag for like $2 a month or something#part of the reason i really want to play is because all the mmo bullshit makes me kinda hate the game#but then when im just going out and questing i have a fine time#mine#im not sure where to go from here with my hands unfortunatey

this might be dropkicking a hornet’s nest but I don’t think “ah but this art made you experience an Emotion” is actually a useful or clever take on modern (or any) art and kind of maybe misunderstands what it means to say “Art makes you think about/feel things.”
Like. My experience with (visual) art is honestly kind of universal regardless of the emotional or aesthetic veneer and at the risk of outing myself as a phenomenologist, it really is the experience of seeing and the art becoming art in front of you. Rothko’s paintings work in person because it pulls you in and the more you stare at it and really look the more layers you see and the more the medium shows itself to you and it becomes an oil painting and also colors and also canvas and pigment and linseed oil and wax and also an infinite number of things. And this isn’t any different across mediums/styles/movements. Staring at a tramp art box and seeing every knife cut and the faded logos and careful joinery from another life; staring at the old Dutch master portraits and being in a room with someone you can’t stop looking at; jumping at a tromp l’oeil before realizing it’s a painting; seeing a quilt and understanding the neat rows of stitches diving into the batting; gazing up at a giant marble statue and seeing the ancient scaffolding waver and blend into the impossibly smooth curves.
I could fill every empty page in my apartment with similar descriptions but I think it makes the most sense if you’ve ever watched a meteor shower. You have to let your eyes adjust to the darkness and you think every flicker of light is a shooting star until suddenly you can see and something burns across the sky and you realize you’ve seen it and everything prior was something else.
Idk I think a side effect of “getting” art is not being able to see anything without wondering how it got here and who is responsible for it existing and why. “I could make that” is an astronomically annoying way to interact with the world but it’s a step closer to something genuine than “ooo you’re angry and that means it’s working!”

final verdict: American Psycho is extremely well written and I want to reread it at some point (I hardly ever reread books). There's nothing I really disliked about it - especially once I just accepted that the music trivia and the obsessive listing of products and their prices are important pieces of Bateman's character. 10/10 would recommend to anyone after they read about the graphic content.

I have finished Mission Mitten Repair aka Shitty Faux Leather Can Go Die Actually
so I got these lovely down mittens as a gift a few years ago, because I have reynauds syndrome and perennially cold fingers. They're very warm but the faux leather (or maybe bonded leather?) on the inside palms started desintegrating last year, leaving a trail of microplastics everywhere I went. Not great. They were expensive and I didn't want to chuck them, but the palmless mittens were no longer waterproof and not nearly as warm.
commence Mission Mitten Repair! Disassembling the mittens to redo the palms would have been a pain and a half so I decided to just applique another layer on top. I bought a bit of real leather (kangaroo, both bc I could find affordable offcuts in a convenient size and because it's known for being thin/flexible), scraped off all the flaking plastic I could, made pattern pieces that fit nicely over the palms & thumb, and then used the sewing machine to make stitching holes.
And then it was a week of hand sewing to get these babies back in business. It went. So. Slowly. I had to use a pair of pliers to pull the needle through on each stitch. The second mitten went much faster once I realized I could do this work while watching movies 😂
And now I have waterproof mittens again! It's very satisfying making something functional once again >:)

idk if anyone feels the same way but I've honestly become a whore for plot-filled fics lately. like super deep into an au, 5k+, might have smut in it or not, makes me wish i was living in this world type shit.
& I'm super over this 1-4k pure smut fics getting 3x the affection, attention, and reblogs as the deep plot fics someone clearly put multiple sittings into writing.
