#maybe that's the first easy thing you should do before having children i think
uncanny-tranny · 16 days
Text
Part of my experience with abuse is hoping I get a kid like me so I can know how easy it can be to love them, how easy it is to not treat them how I was treated, and breaking that cycle. It was only hard for them to love me as a child because they didn't love me in the first place. They wished for me to know the hate they had, and I refuse to carry their water for them like that. It was never hard to love me.

Satoru Gojo purposely keeping the scar you gave him instead of using reversed technique
Tumblr media
Pairing: husband! Gojo x reader
Word Count: 1,6k
Synopsis: When his skin gets busted by your sheer excitement, it doesn't feel right to Satoru to use his reversed technique and simply heal.
Warnings: fluff fluff fluff, Yuji's "death" scnene in season 1, blood lol
Thank you dear anon for aggressively reminding me that it's canon for Gojo to not have any scars, it really helped me cooking up that fic! 🤍
Tumblr media
Every step feels like hell, the only thing that keeps you from collapsing onto the floor being the reassuring hand of your husband on your shoulder.
This can’t be true, it’s just impossible. Yuji Itadori was a member of Jujutsu High for a few weeks, just started to get to know this world better. This was supposed to be an easy mission, the three of them should have made it out alive with ease. But apparently, Sukuna decided to show up. And apart from injuring Megumi, he violently took Yuji’s life by ripping his heart out. A heart made of pure gold, a heart so precious that you couldn’t help but care for that boy the minute you saw him.
But now he’s dead.
Your hands start shaking immediately the minute you step into this cursed room you visited far too often, gazing at Yuji’s body covered by a cloak. This isn’t a bad dream. No, the blood covering the white cloak tells you more than urgently that Yuji Itadori isn’t there anymore.
“Please tell me that there’s a chance he’ll come back”, you mutter.
Oh, how much both Shoko and Satoru hate to see you like that. It’s not a secret to anyone at Jujutsu High how deeply you care about your students, loving them like your own children. Of course, this isn’t the first time you’ve seen a student die in front of your eyes. In times like these, jujutsu sorcerers pass away like flies. But Satoru knows what you’ve seen in Yuji, that he somehow reflected parts of yourself. And still, you weren’t able to protect that boy, both Satoru and you coming too late to rescue him.
“I really wish I could, but he shows no signs of life. I’ll move on to autopsy now. If you want to say goodbye…Maybe do it now and leave afterwards.”
Satoru wraps his arms around you just in time before you slide onto the ground, holding you tightly against his chest.
“This is not fair”, you breathe out, head still not able to accept Yuji’s farewell.
He was so young, so full of life. He doesn’t deserve to die, he still had so much ahead of him. There needs to be something you are able to do. Aren’t Satoru or Shoko able to use their cursed technique?
“He didn’t show any signs of life for hours by now, (y/n). Not even Shoko or me are able to bring him back to life. I’m so sorry”, he mumbles against your ear out of nowhere.
So this is really how it ended? With Yuji getting killed by none other than Sukuna himself? Like in trance, your wobbly legs carry you to the autopsy table his lifeless body lays on. You want to stretch out your arm, want to look at that precious boy one last time before Shoko does her job.
But you can’t.
“I can’t look at him”, you blurt out.
With a swift motion, you turn around and burry your face against your husband’s chest.
“It’s okay babe, just look at me, okay? You don’t have to do this.”
Satoru’s arms keep you from losing yourself completely, soak up your falling tears while his head rests against yours. Oh Yuji, you’ll never be forgotten. All the laughter’s both of you shared, his potential, how he always cared about others. You will think about him every time the sun starts to rise, when new students get greeted, when you kill another curse-
“Hey, what’s up? Huh, what are both of you doing here, Gojo-sensei?”
This voice…
That was Yuji Itadori.
Out of instinct you turn around rapidly, not even noticing how the back of your head crushes into Satoru’s forehead with full force. He sees starts, blood taking his sight in an instant while his mind isn’t even able to comprehend it was Yuji who just spoke.
“Yuji! Are you okay? Are you hurt? You’re back!”, you babble out, embracing the boy in a tight hug.
“To be honest I don’t even know what happened last and I’m pretty hungry…Oh, you’re bleeding Gojo-sensei!”
You’re…bleeding? You turn around in confusion, following Yuji’s eyes.
“OMG SATORU!”, you cry out, the sight of your husband covered in his own blood shocking you to your core.
When did that happened…Was it…you?
“I guess you were so happy to see Itadori that you’ve forgot about me standing behind you”, he mutters amused.
“Babe I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I just got so carried away and-“
“Don’t worry about me. Reversed technique, remember? I’ll be whole in seconds. Just look after Yuji, I love you.”
You let out the breath you were holding, the bright smile forming on your gorgeous face making Satoru forget the world around him for a moment. You are so caring, so passionate. And you are his wife.
“I’m a lucky man”, he mutters to himself while pressing the tissue Shoko handed him against his wound.
There you sit, gently caressing Yuji’s cheeks and asking him over and over if he’s okay.
“You really are. This isn’t a problem for you, right?”, Shoko questions with one glance at the laceration on his forehead.
The shocked look on your face replays itself over and over in his mind, lets a chuckle escape his lips. With the help but his reversed technique, it would be way too easy to get rid of that minor wound. Within seconds, there wouldn’t even be a scar left, just his flawless skin. But…it was you who did this to him out of sheer excitement. It sure would be nice to look into the mirror and get reminded of you daily, right?
“Oh, I might as well keep that”, he replies with a sly grin.
- a few weeks later -
You sit on the edge of the couch, desperately waiting for that time of the day. Even after being married to that force of a man for 4 years now, you find yourself getting all excited when he announces that he’s going to shower. Because going to shower means that he’ll come out just wearing boxers with his body still a little wet and his hair sticking to his face in that delicate way.
“Still waiting for me, huh? It’s not like you can see me naked every time you want, babe”, he finally purrs.
Your heart skips a beat. This man…How is it even allowed to look so breathtakingly gorgeous? The way a single droplet of water runs down his cheek, how he gently strokes his damp hair back.
Wait. You squint your eyes a little harder. What is that on his forehead?
“What do you have there?”, you question, rubbing your own hand against the ride side of your forehead.
This almost looks like a scar. But Satoru shouldn’t have scars. After all, he’s able to use reversed technique, healing himself in the matter of seconds. Is it just dirt? No, that definitely looks like scar tissue.
“Oh, it’s nothing”, he immediately tries to brush you off, pulling his hair back into his face.
“No way Romeo, come back here right now”, you demand.
With a swift motion you lift yourself off the couch and hunt after him.
“Is that a scar?”
“It might be…”
“Why didn’t you just heal it? Show it to me!”
When you finally catch him, you slick his hair back again. Only to be greeted what indeed looks like a middle-sized scar. But why and how did this happen, why didn’t he just heal like he usually does?
“You really don’t know where this came from?”, he challenges you.
You blink a few times. What the hell is your husband talking about?
“Why would I know where this came from?”
“Because it was you, (y/n)?”, he playfully bites back.
You? Your mind races, searching for a single moment you ever hurt your husband. You were never really able to even hurt him, no matter how berserk you went in training. When was the last time you even wounded him? But wait, there was this one time you made him bleed, that one time when…
“This was when Yuji woke up-“
“EXACTLY!”, Satoru cries out and gives you a round of applause.
“But why did you keep it? You said you’d be able to heal it…”
“Because I didn’t want to. This scar right here”
Gently, he takes your hand in his and traces the soft scar with your fingertips.
“will always remind me of what a wonderful human being you are.”
Oh. Your eyes turn glossy in an instant, staring up at your loving husband while he gifts you with the most breath-taking smile you’ve ever seen.
“Satoru”, you breathe out.
There is no time to waste. You wrap your longing arms around his tall frame tightly, aiming to never let him go again.
“Every time I look into the mirror, I think about my wonderful wife”, he mutters into your hair.
“Y’know, you could just take a picture of me or something-“
“No. I would rather just keep that scar of my wonderful wife smacking me over a student.”
You hit him playfully over his comment, a giggle escaping your precious lips.
“Come on, it wasn’t like that…”
“I’ll always tell the story like this.”

I think Vertin might be a tactile person.
Here are examples taken from the voice lines and context clues.  This isn't an all conclusive list of touchy interactions, just what I could find. Someone stop her before she gets hurt. Update: I'm going to keep adding on as we find more interactions together because this is really fun.
Sotheby (hat and hair): Stop it! You can't just touch an adult's head! (She is 13. Vertin probably sees her as a baby and pat her head).
Bette (hands): Ha ha ... They might be a little rough. To tightly grab the eave does require abundant practice. (assuming Vertin is holding her hand. Don’t ask me how we got here.)
Rabies (clothing and torso): Straws ... be hugged. Rabies ... feels it. (she hugged him 🥹)
A Knight (hat and hair): One step further, and you will be in close contact with Someone's nose... As long as you can hit Someone's head. (how close is Vertin standing to the AK? Or maybe she was looking for an invisible head to pat.)
Mesmer Jr (Hands) :Compared to the incurable anxiety, these wounds are minor. Oh, watch your distance. (smh Vertin not everyone likes being touched.)
Melania (hat and hair): "Well done. Please keep on." ...Aren't you going to say that? (more headpats but Melania needs vocal praise too.)
Lilya
Clothing and torso:  Feel awesome? Now it's my turn to pet you. (...what is Vertin petting? This is clothing and torso but I'm lost.)
Hat and hair: You should be grateful that I am too lazy to move now. Or you should know that the first-class pilot’s got a first-glass head-butt, too. (Vertin taking advantage of the moment to give headpats. I'm telling you, its a THING)
Leilani (Hands): Shaka brah! Ooh! Do you want a handshake or a high-five, my friend? I'm fine with either! (She’s so wholesome)
Cristallo
hat and hair: Are you patting my head? The doctor says, this is a reward for good children. Have I done something right?
Hands and sleeves: Would you like to hold my hands? I could be with you anytime. (Cristallo is weak and frail. The nurses say she could be blown away by a gust of wind. Despite this she says she’ll be with Vertin anytime. To me it reads as Vertin being worried Cristallo will disappear too. Cristallo notices so she offers to hold hands and says she will always be here as a way to comfort her.)
Darley Clatter
Hat and Hair:  Oh ... I can't deny you are really good at patting.
Clothing and Torso: Take a look at my beautiful muscles! I don't need to explain how fabulous I am. Hey, watch out! Rub me in the direction my mane grows.
Bonus Intimacy : Adorable? Ahh? You don't even have a taste! (Vertin pets him and calls him adorable. Darley, don’t let the girlies know. They might end your noble bloodline.)
Pavia (Hat and Hair): Wanna know how many holes I've made on others' heads? No? Then stop it. (What possessed her to give Pavia headpats?)
Dikke (hat and hair): Thou art overstepping my boundaries, arcanist. (I’m guessing Vertin is at it again with the headpats. Dikke smiles when she says this so she isn’t offended. If anything, she seems amused. )
Eternity (hands and sleeves): Go on, try holding it, and feel its temperature rising in your hand… Easy, sweetheart… take it easy, heh heh… (more hand holding but Vertin wasn’t prepared this time)
An-an Lee (hands and sleeves): What? You want a palm reading? (Vertin, why are you like this? Are you randomly touching people's hands?)
Regulus (hands and sleeves): What do you want? I don't have any spare scratch. (I'm sure she knows you're broke since she's your boss. Vertin's just being Vertin at this point.)
Vertin leads Regulus by the hand into her Suitcase in the prologue
Blonney (hands): Interesting! It's been a while since I last met someone who would start with holding hands.
She also holds Blonney's hand as she calms her down during the green lake event.
I feel like I should have picked up on this sooner. Gift-giving, hand holding, and headpats. This is the Timekeeper way.

Do You Jest?
A/N: surprise!! I’ve been feeling really down lately so I figured maybe writing might help. This kinda sucks and sounded better in my head but oh well. Enjoy!
Pairing: Aemond x fem!reader
Warnings: Aegon being a shit, salacious language, making out and mild breeding kink if you squint, heavy use of wife and husband
Summary: you’ve known the royal family for most of your life, but never would you have guessed Aemond’s reaction to your own betrothal.
Part Two
Tumblr media
“You’re drooling again, brother,” Aegon chuckled. Aemond shot him a dirty look before turning his attention back to you.
“Don’t you have some handmaid to go fondle?” The prince scoffed.
“Maybe later. I’d much rather join you in ogling our lady.”
“She most certainly is not your lady and I was not ogling!”
Aemond was becoming more annoyed with his older brother by the minute. He couldn’t help it if his eye was drawn to you- your brilliant dress dazzling under candlelight as you stood on the edge of the dance floor.
A few suitors had asked for a dance but you declined each one, feigning an upset stomach preventing you from twirling about.
“You know her betrothal is being announced in a few days,” Aegon whispered. Aemond’s eye widened at his brother’s words.
“To whom is she betrothed?”
“How should I know?” Aegon scoffed. “Some fortunate bastard that will be between her thighs night after night-“
Aemond grabbed Aegon by his collar and pulled him closer.
“Do not speak of her that way ever again,” he growled. Aegon grinned at him before pulling his hand from his shirt.
The elder brother got up from the table and made his way over to you as Aemond watched in panic. He could see Aegon whispering something to you and your eyes flicker over to where he was seated. You nodded and said something back before heading in his direction.
Aemond thought his heart was going to beat out of his chest.
He had known you since you were both children, your family being close acquaintances with his own. You wouldn’t say you were friends- Aemond always being too shy to approach you, but he had watched from afar as you grew into an amazing young woman.
He often found himself having sinful thoughts about you, unable to focus on anything else when you were around.
You were everything he wished for in a woman; kind, intelligent, beautiful, and gentle. You cared for his family as if they were your own and he was eternally grateful for that. Others often found it easy to judge them, but you never did.
He had secretly hoped that his mother might betroth you to him at some point but when Aegon told him your betrothal was to be announced, all hopes of that disappeared.
“My prince, I was told you wished to speak to me?” You asked, appearing in front of him. He could see Aegon snickering behind you.
“No, I didn’t want to speak with you,” he said without thinking, his tone harsher than he intended.
“Oh…I’m sorry for bothering you then,” your eyes dropped to the floor and Aemond felt horrible. He didn’t mean to come across so rude; this is why he kept his distance from you. He would get so nervous that he always said the wrong thing.
“No! I mean, I didn’t request to speak with you but I should like to- speak with you, that is. You are never a bother, lady,” he rushed out.
“It’s quite alright, Prince Aemond. I see now that Aegon was jesting with me. Please, excuse me,” you mumbled before rushing off. He watched as you left the great hall completely and he wished nothing more than to follow you. But first, he needed to do something about Aegon.
Before he could leave the table, his mother called his name.
“Aemond, there is something I wish to speak to you about,” Alicent said softly.
“I’m not in the mood, mother,” he sighed. He looked around for Aegon, but found him nowhere.
“It is quite important.”
“Tomorrow, then. We shall break fast together and we can discuss it,” he said before bowing and excusing himself. His mother sighed as she watched her son stalk from the party.
Aemond wandered the halls until he stopped in his tracks. He saw a figure on the balcony facing away from him but he easily recognized your dress. He wasn’t sure if he should approach you or not, but he wanted to make up for earlier.
“My lady, please excuse this disturbance,” he said, slowly coming up behind you.
You didn’t turn to face him or even acknowledge he was there.
“I would like to apologize for earlier. I didn’t mean to offend you.”
“T’is Aegon who has offended me, my prince. For jesting that you wished to speak to me, for getting my hopes up,” you said quietly.
“I shall deal with him once I can find him, I promise you,” Aemond nearly snarled. He hates that Aegon has upset you, but even more so that he somehow contributed to it.
“Please don’t, I do hate it when you two fight,” you sighed.
“As you wish, lady. Just know you needn’t an excuse to come speak to me. It is never a bother to be in your presence.”
“I’m glad you feel that way, my prince,” you bowed slightly and Aemond’s heart sank a little.
“Please, just call me Aemond,” he begged. “Should you not find that too inappropriate. We’ve known each other so long, I hardly think titles are necessary.”
“Titles are everything these days,” you sighed. Aemond had a feeling he knew what you were talking about and his breath caught in his throat.
“Ah, yes. I’ve heard the news. I do wish you every happiness,” he said through gritted teeth. You finally turned to look at him.
“You do?”
“Of course. That is the least you deserve.”
“And what is it that you think I deserve?” You asked. Aemond was hesitant to answer. He didn’t want to reveal his true feeling, both for you and about your betrothal.
“You deserve kindness, loyalty, and honesty. You deserve someone who loves you and only you. Someone handsome and brave,” he trailed off while looking at his hands entwined before him.
“I’ve often found you to be all of those things,” you told him. His eye shot up to your face, only to find you looking at him curiously.
“I’m not sure I follow.”
“Are you, too, jesting with me, my prince?” You asked, becoming irritated.
“I would never, sweet girl. I just don’t know why you’d grace me with such kind words.”
“Should I not be kind to my husband to be? I do not wish for a stale, loveless marriage. So if that is where we are headed please just tell me now,” you pleaded. Aemond found no hint of deceit in your face and he allowed himself for a moment to feel a sliver of hope.
“My lady, who are you betrothed to?”
“You really don’t know?” You asked.
“I need to hear you say it,” he whispered.
“Aemond, we are to be married,” you said, reaching out to touch his hands. You hesitated slightly but before you could pull back he grabbed your hand and pulled you close to him.
“We are to be married?” He asked incredulously.
“Yes, my prince,” you finally smiled at him and he swore he had never been graced with the sight of anything more beautiful.
“Not your prince, your husband,” he said before crashing his lips to yours. You were stunned to say the least, not knowing Aemond harbored such feelings for you.
He held your body flush to his and the rest of the world melted away as he deepened the kiss.
He pulled away but you chased him, reconnecting your lips once again. He chuckled and indulged you once more before breaking the kiss.
“How inappropriate of you, my sweet wife,” he smirked.
“You started it!” You gasped playfully. “You know, I feared that you were disappointed when you heard of our betrothal. When Aegon told me you wished to speak to me I hoped for a moment that maybe you were okay with it. But then you dismissed the idea of speaking to me so easily I knew the idea of marrying me would only repulse you more- but now I’m not so sure.”
“I swear to you I didn’t know. I believe my mother wished to tell me at the banquet but after Aegon’s little joke and how I feared I wounded you, I wouldn’t hear her. Aegon knows how I feel for you and he knows how nervous I am around you which he used to his advantage.”
“You have no need to be nervous around me, it is I who has always been nervous around you. You’re so handsome and intimidating, I feared gaining your affection to be nearly impossible,” you sighed.
“Fear no more, wife. My affections have always been yours and they will always be yours alone.”
“You keep calling me ‘wife’ yet I am only just barely your betrothed,” you chuckled. His gaze darkened and he leaned in to kiss you again.
“The title matters not to me; I am yours and you are mine,” he promised before capturing your lips in a passionate kiss.
His hands grasped at your ass beneath your gown and your legs grew weak.
“Aemond…” you whimpered.
“Keep that up and I won’t be able to wait until our wedding night to fuck my seed into you,” he growled in your ear.
“Do not tease me, husband,” you whined.
“That’s what you think teasing is, little wife?” He chuckled. “You have no idea what lies ahead then.”

[part fourteen] to build a home - gojo satoru
Tumblr media
word count: 4.6k warnings: !!manga spoilers!! swearing, jjk-verse style fighting series summary: when (y/n) (y/l/n) catches wind that the notorious sorcerer killer, toji fushiguro, has children, she makes it her personal mission to find them. the catch being she couldn't tell a soul about them- the risk of the zen'in clan learning about them was too great. keeping the secret isn't the hard part, it's lying to her friends, shoko ieiri, geto suguru, and of course gojo satoru, that she struggles with. especially when satoru has suddenly become so keen on keeping an eye on her lately.
series masterlist
[part fourteen]: “The Beginning Of The End Of All Things” ___
The next morning, Megumi and Tsumiki are delightedly surprised to find (y/n) making them breakfast when they wake up.  They’re smiling wide and both of them are hugging her while she flips pancakes over the stove.  She laughs and teases them for their affection, even though she knows just as well as they do that it’s odd for her to have stayed through the night.
“You should stay more often!” Tsumiki says through a mouthful of cat face-shaped pancake.
“Yeah, if you keep making us breakfast” Megumi agrees with a shyer smile than his sister.
(y/n) just laughs them off and refuses to make them any promises, and they notice something’s different about her today.  She’s in a better mood, dancing around as she pours batter into more shapes, including a lumpy bunny, a heart, and what was supposed to be a star, but fell apart when it came time to flip the cake over.  She’s telling them about her assignment in Brazil, hyping up the parts that weren’t so interesting and dramatizing the parts that were thrilling to be even more so.  Her smile feels genuine again, warm and comforting like they were used to.  Neither one of them knows what caused this shift in her mood, but they don’t comment on it.  They’re simply happy that things feel normal again.
Maybe even better than normal.
(y/n) even sticks around for breakfast, and spends most of her morning with them.  They talk and joke around all through breakfast, the atmosphere nothing but light and cheerful.
Even the skies were sunny and clear of all clouds, it was as if the universe was treating them.
“Listen, I know it’s a Saturday, but I can’t stay all day,” (y/n) says while she cleans up the kitchen.  Tsumiki lets out a whine of disappointment, and Megumi remains quiet.  “I’m sorry, but I have important stuff to do back at school today”
“But it’s Saturday! School can’t happen on Saturday” Tsumiki argues, and (y/n) can’t help but chuckle at her frustration.
“You don’t think I want to go to school on a Saturday, do you?”
Tsumiki pouts, but doesn’t argue again.
“And anyways, I’ll be back first thing tomorrow.  I can even make pancakes again,” She offers, which seems to brighten the kids’ moods in the slightest.
She hesitates before continuing, her eyes fixed on rinsing plates in the sink as she speaks carefully, trying to keep her tone casual.
“Although there is an important errand I’ll have to run tomorrow,”
She tries not to think about it, even as she says it, even though she knows they’ll press for more details.
“Hopefully it won’t take long.  Then you’ll have me the rest of the day… we should do something fun” She adds the last part in hopes that it could serve as a distraction.
“What errand?” Megumi asks.
She should’ve known better.  Nothing got past this kid.
“I just have to make a quick visit,” (y/n) shrugs her shoulders loosely.  “Like I said, it shouldn't take long.  But if you guys think of something fun to do, I’ll treat you.  Think of it like an apology for me having to ditch you today”
Neither Tsumiki or Megumi ask any more questions, which (y/n) is relieved by.
She just wanted them to have an easy going morning.  And selfishly, she wanted to spend a few more good hours with them.  She didn’t want to think these could be the last, as the mere thought made her heart break.  But she also didn’t want to take any chances and leave without feeling like she’d given them good lives, even in the short time she’d spent with them.
After tidying up the house a bit and making sure they had a few things to eat for lunch and dinner, and once she was sure that they were set for the day, she quickly ran out of reasons to stall, to stick around just a little longer.
She couldn’t stay for the day, she knew she needed to get back to Jujutsu Tech to train, to prepare for what was coming tomorrow.  Still, her feet dragged as she made her way to the door.
Tsumiki and Megumi stood side by side while she stood before them, no parting words coming to mind, while they wondered why she didn’t just say goodbye.
“I’ll be at school, but you know you can still text me if you need anything, right?”
“Yeah” Tsumiki giggles, finding the question silly.  She always reached out whenever she needed help with homework, or making something to eat.
“You can call, too,” (y/n) adds as an afterthought.
She turns to Megumi, noticing the cord around his neck that disappeared under his shirt, the stone hanging from it that was imbued with her cursed energy hidden under the blue tee shirt he wore.
Relief and despair make for a heavy feeling in her chest as she thinks about him wearing it every day.  If she survives, he’ll always have her just a snap away to protect him.  If she doesn’t… the tool’s power is rendered useless, and then who will he have?
(y/n) swallows the lump in her throat as she kneels down before them, her finger pointing at the hidden necklace.
“And if you need to use that-”
“I will” Megumi cuts her off before she could finish the speech that he could probably recite for her.
Her lips curl into a smile.
“Okay you little shits I gotta get to school before I get in trouble,” She says, reaching out to pet both their heads.  “Be good, alright?”
“Bye (y/n)” Tsumiki leapt forward, throwing her arms around (y/n’s) neck before she could stand.  Despite the sudden action, (y/n’s) quick to hug her back.
When the child pulls away, (y/n) turns to Megumi.
“You gonna hug me too, you little shit?” She teases.
Megumi blushes, flustering as he looks at the ground and hooks his hands behind his back.
“I hugged you yesterday” He grumbles, and (y/n) laughs, settling for messing up his hair again, knowing that would make him more irritated than a hug, anyways.
As always, Megumi groans and swats her hand away, trying to fix his ruined hair.
“Alright, be a brat about it,” She teases before standing.  “I’ll see you guys tomorrow”
They bid her their final goodbye, and (y/n) leaves.
After closing the door she draws her curtain, and lingers for just a minute longer on the front step.  No amount of stalling felt like enough to ease the anxious skip in her heartbeat.  It already feels like she’s been here for ages, like every second dragged on for centuries.  And yet now that it was time to go, she feels that urge to stand on the porch until she feels that urge to stand on the porch until she had to be forced off of the
When she’s finally ready to step off the property, she freezes in place, her eyes landing on two figures just across the street.  Normally strangers passing by in the neighborhood didn’t make her blood run cold, but these weren’t your average strangers.
They were clad in traditional robes, which looked completely unsoiled, like they were brand new.  Judging by the way they stood, staring straight ahead at her, she had a sinking feeling of who they were, and why they were here.
I don’t have any weapons, her mind quickly jumps to what her strategy would be.  I’ll only have my cursed technique and strength to defend myself.
Before she could come up with what her plan was, her feet were moving, carrying her down the steps of the porch, and across the yard.
There are people around, she notes, glancing at a few walkers down the street, a man mowing his yard, a woman gardening.  And if things get ugly, Megumi and Tsumiki are inside.
She’s never worried much about witnesses when it comes to acts of violence in public.  Although the truth was people weren’t usually upset to have a girl with swords around when a literal monster was haunting the area.  But this was different.  Her opinions on the Zen’in Clan aside, those two were merely men, and if she approached them with cursed energy buzzing in her fists, she was going to make a scene.  Perhaps if Megumi and Tsumiki weren’t inside she’d say fuck it and take the ill-intentioned strangers down.  She tried to push the theoretical thoughts away, instead focusing on what she needed to do right now to get these men as far away from the Fushiguro house as possible.
She’s approached them now, standing a few feet away from them as her calculated glare slowly tracks between them both.  They seemed to be young men, probably not much older than she was.
I could take them, she tells herself.
But instead she crosses her arms over her chest, and waits for them to explain themselves.  She knew she didn’t owe them shit, and if it weren’t for their location and the risk of the kids seeing, (y/n) would have knocked them on their ass by now.  So she taps her foot with impatience, and sizes them up white she waits for them to state their purpose.
The strangers in the kimonos turn their heads, sharing a look.  They remained expressionless, but she assumed both were confused by her silent approach.
“If you don’t explain why you’re stalking my kids, I’ll have no choice but to assume you mean to do them harm,” (y/n) speaks up.
Her voice is shockingly even, although low in tone.
The strangers in kimonos look back at her, seemingly intrigued by what she had to say.
“So let me make this easy for you,” She says slowly, eyes flickering between the both of them.  Her arms drop from her defensive position, one hand setting on her hip.  “Do you mean to do them harm?”
Again, the strangers share a look, but this time there’s amusement on their features.
“You know why we’ve come,” One of them, the one with his hair neatly swept into a knot on the top of his head, speaks.  “You know we’re here on behalf of the Zen’in Clan”
(y/n) holds his stare for a long moment, her features, and her entire body, unmoving.
“Yes”
Her answer is blunt, but she doesn’t have anything else to say to them.
If I kill them both now, I’ll have to leave immediately to go for the rest, she thinks to herself.  It would only be a matter of time until the rest of the clan caught wind of what happened.  And were these two really worth the trouble, anyways? THey looked to be her age, for all she knew, they were just Zen’in lackeys.
But either way, she knows what’s coming, and these two were far too close to the Fushiguro kids for her liking.  So whatever their reasoning for being here now, if they had malicious intent, she would be left with no choice but to take them out.
“So you’re also aware that you have twenty four hours to deliver the son of Fushiguro Toji to the Zen’in Clan, before we’re sent back to collect him ourselves?” The other stranger, who’s dark hair is cut much shorter than his partner’s, spoke.
Now it was his turn to be on the receiving end of her icy glare, but just like his counterpart, he appears unphased by this.
“Yes” (y/n) repeats.
It’s silent for a moment, before the first man scoffs, and speaks again.
“You’re nothing but a child yourself,” He comments.  “What business do you have staking your claim in children that aren’t yours?”
(y/n) tilts her head at him, plotting to herself for a moment, before she steps closer, enough to lower her voice to a mutter.
“Awful bold question for you to ask,” She says slowly, her brows lowering as her glare hardens.  “Horridly foolish, of you and your clan, to assume that those children aren’t mine,”
She pauses, smirking to herself before shaking her head at both men.  Despite her intent to keep things from escalating, her once cold blood was heating up under her skin, and she wasn’t sure how long she could maintain this professional act.
Oh, if she had her swords…
“You said so yourself, I have twenty four hours,” She repeats back to them.  “And it wouldn’t exactly look good for the Zen’in Clan to pull some shady trick, hm? Or do you openly kidnap children now?”
“We’re not kidnapping anybody-” The short haired man leapt forward with a snarl, only to be stopped by his partner with an arm to his chest.
(y/n) doesn’t move an inch.  Not even a flinch at the sudden movement.  She tucks her hands into her pockets, feigning indifference to the act.
Although her mind had already leapt to six different ways she could counter the potential attack.
“Let Zen’in Naobito know that I’ll be seeing him this time tomorrow then,” She states calmly, and this time she isn’t faking her relaxed state.
Both strangers’ eyes widened, shocked to be handed an order by anyone other than a member of the Zen’in Clan- much less a message for their head.  They seemed unsure as to whether or not they could agree to relay this message, but (y/n) sweetened the deal with her next words.
“You can also let him know that if I find anymore of you mindless insects creeping around here, I’ll be returning your heads to him, personally”
The men don’t seem particularly threatened by her words, but they do take them seriously, as they nod back at her in unison.
However, one of them smirks.
“If you find another one of us around here, it will be because master Zen’in has sent us for your head” He states proudly.
(y/n) tilts her head back at him, her expression unwavering as her eyes harden on him.
“I suppose I’ll look forward to it, then,” She muses, making the man frown in distaste.  “Now leave.  My message for your master is urgent, and I’d like you to treat it as such”
To her luck, they do leave the premises.  She lingers in the area for a while, just to make sure they really had slunk away, but she’d already spent too much time stalling this morning, and she couldn’t allow too much more of her day to be eaten up.
When she’s certain there’s not another malicious presence near the Fushiguro home, she takes off, the gears in her head spinning as she walks back to Jujutsu Tech.
With only one day left to prepare for her meeting with the head of the Zen’in Clan, there was too much to do.  But she didn’t make it this far, she didn’t keep secrets and tell lies and threaten one of the most prominent families in jujutsu society just to cower away now.
Besides, after seeing how weak the two spies they’d sent her way were, she had a leap in faith in her abilities to do whatever was necessary.  She was a Semi-Grade One Sorcerer after all, and for someone her age that was no feat to laugh at.
Although, those two didn’t seem to be any older than she was.  They may have still been in training.  The Zen’in Clan didn’t make any half-assed decisions, so if they sent them, they did so for a reason.
To give her false confidence? She wondered, her pace quickening the longer she thought about it.  To instigate her into doing something stupid, so they could get rid of her, the only obstacle in the way of what they want?
The swell of pride she’d felt earlier quickly began to deflate.
Only making a few quick pit stops on her way back to the school, she still got back in record time.  However it was made clear quickly that it didn’t matter when she’d returned, because there was a very angry Shoko waiting for her at the front gates when she approached.
She should have seen this coming, but she’d been distracted by her own mind and her race to campus
The short haired sorcerer stood with her arms crossed, her white lab coat tightly wrapped in front of her uniform, and (y/n) doesn’t think she’s ever seen such a sour look on her face.
Not directed towards her, anyways.
“Where the fuck have you been!?” She shouted as soon as (y/n) was close enough to hear.
“I just got back from a trip to the convenience store,” (y/n) said, raising the plastic bag in her hands for proof.  “I left this morning-”
“Bullshit!” Shoko threw her arms at her sides, her hands in fists. “Cut the bullshit already! I know you didn’t come back last night!”
(y/n) winced, worried and embarrassed for getting caught in a lie.  Her heart leapt to her throat, and she had to swallow it back down.  She tried to come up with something better to say, but being put on the spot was no help.  All that was on her mind were the men that the Zen’in Clan had sent to her, and she didn’t have the energy to take on Shoko, too.
“I thought you were finally done with all the lies?” Shoko asks, sounding less angry and more defeated.
(y/n’s) shoulders drop in defeat.  SHe’d rather Shoko be angry with her than be disappointed.  Anger was a brief pain, like a smack to the face.  It would hurt upon impact, but then it would disintegrate into nothing.  Disappointment lingered, like a nag in your gut that something was wrong.  It clung to a person like a curse manifested by one’s own depression.  What’s worse  is the way the emotion looks on Shoko now.
“You can’t just flake in the middle of the night and not come back, okay?” Shoko’s voice is shaky, and (y/n) takes a few more steps forward.  “You can’t leave like him.  You can’t”
The mention of Suguru makes the bitter memory of his retreating form flash in (y/n’s) mind, but she shakes her head and tries to brush it off because she has to.
“It’s not like that,” (y/n) sighs, dropping her bag to close more distance between them.  “I promise, okay? I’m sorry I didn’t say anything, but you have to believe me, I’m fine”
She reaches out to place a comforting hand on Shoko’s shoulder, but the girl shrugs it off, tears in her eyes as she takes a step back.
“I don’t know what to believe anymore, (y/n),” She admits, taking shallow breaths.  “Why didn’t you tell Satoru the truth?”
(y/n’s) eyes dart to anywhere but Shoko’s, cursing herself for getting caught in another lie.  Was she getting worse at this? When had she become so sloppy? When had her friends paid this close attention to her?
“Why did you run away after- after what happened?” Shoko asks another question before (y/n) could come up with an answer for this one.  “That… that sucked.  We needed you, (y/n).  I needed you, and you just- you vanished.  Why-”
“If I’d stuck around any longer, I was going to go after him,” (y/n) cuts her off, her eyes meeting Shoko’s again.  “If I hadn’t left, I was going to kill him,”
Shoko’s eyes widened, and she’s finally quiet for a moment.
“And the truth, Shoko, is… is I didn’t want to do it.  I couldn’t, but I… I wouldn’t have been able to stop myself,”
(y/n) pauses for a moment, her eyes still locked on Shoko, as every word she spoke was true.
“I could have stopped him, you know,” She admits.  “Before he went on that mission where he… did what he did… we had a fight,”
Again, Shoko looks shocked by this new information, and although she wants to press for more information, her mind is processing it all too slowly for her to know what to say.
“And I ignored it,” (y/n) muttered, kicking herself as she finally processed aloud what had happened.  “I was stupid.  I thought he was going to retire, like Nanami.  I never thought he would…” She trails off, not wanting to admit the cruel truth.
“(y/n)...” Shoko mumbled, her head shaking back and forth in a small motion.  “You couldn’t have known”
“But I could have,” (y/n) said, picking up the bag she’d dropped.  “I could have listened, I should have seen the signs, they were right there,”
Shoko bit down on her lip in an effort to keep it from quivering, but the truth was she hadn’t stopped crying since Suguru had left them with his harsh parting words.  Finding that (y/n) hadn’t returned to campus in the meantime was only the cherry on top of her heartbreak.
“Don’t worry,” (y/n) spoke as she reached into her bag, shuffling around before producing a small box.  “I won’t cause you pain like this ever again.  You don’t have to worry about me anymore,”
Before Shoko could ask her what that meant, (y/n) pressed the box into her hands with a smile.
“Best friends don’t do that to each other, right?” She asked softly, still smiling.
Shoko looked down to inspect what had been given to her.  A pack of cigarettes.
Not just any pack of cigarettes, a Russian brand that Shoko had never splurged on for herself, claiming they were too expensive just to go straight to her lungs.  (y/n) always laughed and asked what the difference was, claiming they were going to kill them one day eventually either way.  Shoko never had a decent answer.
Looking at the sleek black cardboard box now, she frowned, before turning to find her friend was already walking away, the plastic bag hanging from her wrist as her hands were tucked into her pockets.
Was this part of the apology?
Shoko wondered, puzzled as she stared at the random gift.  Her fingers traced over it’s edges carefully as she tried to mentally pick apart everything that had just happened.
But why did it feel like an apology for something that hadn’t happened yet? ___
In the last eight months of her sneaking around, (y/n) tried to recall every lie she’d had to tell, no matter how huge.  She wondered if she was able to count them all, if she could put a price on them, and value them at some unachievable goal for her to atone.
She thinks it would be like trying to race to the moon with nothing but a pair of kicks.
It doesn’t matter now, she thinks to herself as she looks down at the small paper bag of treats in her hands, tied off with a pink string that she fought the urge to tug on.  No apology will amount to anything.  And this time tomorrow, they’ll never see me again.
This thought wasn’t groundbreaking, she’d known for some time now that the end was nearing.  Still, as the notion crossed her mind now, her throat began to sting with the white hot burn of tears.
It would be the end of everything, whether she succeeded or failed tomorrow didn’t matter.  Her crimes against the Zen’in Clan had caught up to her, and the crimes she’d yet to commit would seal her fate.  If she succeeded, she would be excommunicated, labeled a defect just as Geto Suguru had been, and if she was lucky she would spend the rest of her life running.  If she failed, then she would die in vain, and everything she’d fought for, lied for, everything she’d ever done in the name of protecting Fushiguro Toji’s children, would be for nothing.  Megumi would be sold back to his rightful owners, like the valuable piece of property they deemed him to be. Tsumiki would likely be tossed aside, put in the system if she was lucky.
The end of all things was near.
This would bring the end of her time at Jujutsu Tech, she realizes.  She’d never see her own graduation.  She’d never get to know if she would be promoted to a Grade One Sorcerer.  She’d never know if she could truly master Hexing Eye.
With the thoughts of the big milestones she’d be abandoning, came the thoughts of all the little things she’d be losing, too.
Shoko, Satoru, their faces came to mind as she struggled to stop herself from clutching the bag in her hands too tight.  She would never make things right with them.  She was going to walk out of their lives without explanation.  And when word got around of the terrible things she was going to do…
She closed her eyes and bit down on her lip, willing her emotions to lay dormant, to not get the best of her in this moment.
They would never forgive her.
She was no better than Suguru.
And she had to accept that reality.
Why now did her heart try to argue with her mind? Now that she’d made her decision, why now did her heart put up a fight?
Her eyelashes are sticky when she opens her eyes, staring at the door before her with a sinking feeling.  She’d come here with a purpose, but since planting her feet at the door, she hadn’t found the strength to knock, choked up by her fear.
When this time comes tomorrow, she will be gone.  This would be the last thing she does for the people she’s going to abandon, and then she was going to disappear completely.
You have to do it now, the morbid voice in her head screams at her.  If you don’t do it now, you’ll never get another chance.
She swallows the lump in her throat, along with her pride, before she raises her fist to knock.  Again, her arm freezes on it’s own accord, and it’s as though it’s under a spell, as she couldn’t will it to just knock.  She’d been standing here for too long already, and she didn’t know how much more time she’d have.
Her teeth gnaw on her lip as she stares at the door with her mission on her mind.  She’s too focused on trying to notice the flash in the hallway beside her.
“Did you need something?”
(y/n) jumps out of her skin upon hearing the voice, swiveling on her heels to find Gojo Satoru standing beside her.  His brow furrows at her reaction, seeing as she was standing in front of his door with the clear intent of speaking to him, but he doesn’t comment on the strange behavior.
She’d been acting strange for the last few months now, he’s almost grown used to it.  Almost.  There was still a tug in his chest that longed to ask her what had brought on this change in her demeanor.
“You scared me” She finally spoke, although her words were mumbled.
Satoru tucks his hands in his pockets as his eyes study her.  While the sour part of his heart wanted to tell her to leave, the remains of the softness it once held for her spoke louder. (y/n) hadn’t spoken to him since the incident, so seeing her at his door now, clearly working up the courage to knock, has him curious.
He has a million things he wants to say, mostly questions to interrogate her with, but he keeps his mouth shut and his expression blank.  Maybe he didn’t want to turn her away, but he knows that she spent the night off campus, and the thought of where she could have been makes him sick to his stomach.  A slight grimace curls on his lip out of disgust.
Looking at her now, Satoru doesn’t think he’s ever felt so much vexation, so much contempt for her.  Until now, he didn’t think he possibly could.  He’d finally decided to drop the subject of her sneaking around, only to find out she’d been sneaking around with a Zen’in?
Sure he would have been upset by hearing the truth sooner, but it wasn’t like it was a criminal offense.  Just a stupid one.  But the secrecy of it all is what killed him, deep down.  All of the lies and the hiding, and for what?
For what? The question lingered in his mind the longer he looked at her.  She looked… weak.
Her eyelashes hung lower than usual, as if the act of keeping her eyes open was enough to exhaust her.  And judging by the dark half moons under her eyes, exhaustion had become familiar to her.  It looked as though a strong enough gust of wind could knock her down, had she lost weight?
Just as that dreaded sense of worry began to consume him, she finally broke the heavy silence that had fallen over them.
“Do you have a sec?”
Satoru’s nodding, stepping forward to slide his door open.  (y/n) watches as he swings his arm in a gesture for her to head in.  She seems to hesitate, so he sighs.
“Come on,” He gestures to his room again.
(y/n) gnaws on her lip, still lingering at the doorway even once it had been opened for her.  She supposed she should have just left the treats at his door and cowered away when she had the chance.
With a sink of her shoulders, she steps into his room.  Satoru follows closely behind and makes sure to slide the door shut, before speaking again.
“We’ve got a lot to talk about, don’t we?”

Mine
(Wednesday Addams x fem! reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Recently Enid and you started dating. Wednesday isn't happy about it. Part 1 || Part 2 Warnings: manipulative/toxic Wednesday, Enid x reader, suggestive themes at the end (English isn't my first language, I'm sorry if there are mistakes or if something doesn't make sense TvT)
Wednesday was walking in the school's corridors, seemingly looking for something, or someone. And she found you after a moment, walking a few meters away from her.
"Y/n." she called out to catch your attention
Hearing her voice, you turned around and stopped walking.
"Hi Willa!" you greeted her with a soft smile
If it were someone else calling her that, she wouldn't hesitate to take out the knife she kept in her boot. But it was you.
You had been best friends for years, since you were little children. Wednesday liked being with you, loved, even. But just being your best friend wasn't enough for her. She wanted more.
"How are you doing?" you asked once she got closer
"I'm doing well. What about you?" she replied with a neutral tone
"I've never been better!"
"Really?"
"Yes! Things are going so well with Enid, she's the sweetest!"
"... It seems that she is, yes."
Wednesday tried her best not to show she was jealous; she hated that your relationship with Enid was going 'so well', as you said.
"You know what? She even bought me flowers the other day, my favorite ones! It was so cute!"
"How sweet of her."
She spoke quietly, her anger building up at your total obliviousness.
"Right?? I'm just so happy I have her! Maybe we should try to find you someone too, what do you think?" you asked with a gentle smile
"... A girlfriend?"
"Yes! I know you're not really into that, but maybe you'll like it! You just have to find the girl of your dreams"
"'The girl of my dreams'...?"
You nod, visibly excited.
"What would she be like?"
"... Well, someone just like you, actually..."
"Someone... like me? Are you sure it's a good idea? I mean... one me is already a lot to deal with, do you really want your lover and your best friend to be the same, haha?" you asked jokingly
A part of herself was grateful you didn't get the hint. She knew she would lose you if you learnt about her feelings right now. And even though she was desperate to be with you, she couldn't take the risk to lose you.
"I was just kidding, I'm fine on my own. I'm not looking for a partner."
That was, obviously, a lie. She was looking for a partner, just not for someone that wasn't you.
"Oh, really? Well... if you ever change your mind... I'd be happy to help you with it"
You smiled and gave her a gentle hug. She hugged back, although she knew this hug was only platonic on your side. But she couldn't tell you, not now.
You were not ready to learn that you were her true love. If you asked, she would be forced to deny it all.
You pulled away after a minute, still smiling.
"I have to go now, but we'll see each other tonight! Movie night, like we said, right?"
"That's right, indeed."
Wednesday was looking forward to this moment with you, only the two of you.
You smiled again and placed a soft kiss on her cheek, before waving goodbye and walking away.
She said nothing as you walked away, but deep down, she was bitter. She wanted you to kiss her lips, not just her cheek.
While you were god knows where, the ravenette thought of a plan to make you hers.
She couldn't be too direct; she was pretty sure it'll make you run away. She had to be more subtle. But to have a chance with you... she needed to get rid of Enid first.
Murder crossed her mind, but it would affect you too much. Her only option was to make you leave her. But how? According to what you told her, Enid was the perfect girlfriend.
If only she was an asshole, if she had cheated for example, it would've been so easy...
A twisted smirk formed on her lips as an idea popped in her head. It was the perfect plan. She just had to make sure you'll never learn about it, or you would hate her forever.
After spending your day away from the dorms, and the school in general, you knocked at Wednesday's door, ready for your movie night.
Not even five seconds later, the ravenette opened the door, inviting you to come in. She was delighted to spend the night with you. She had even prepared some snacks for the two of you.
You smile, seeing the snacks she prepared, and gave her a gentle hug.
Wednesday hugged you back, feeling a rush of emotions as your body was pressed against hers. But these emotions soon disappeared, replaced by less pleasurable ones.
"... Why do you smell like Enid?"
"Oh uh... we spent the day together. She took me out on a date"
You were so clueless. It enraged Wednesday so much. You had spent the whole day with Enid. She hated that. It was supposed to be her, not Enid.
"What movie do you want to watch?" she asked, hiding her anger, changing the subject
"What about a horror movie?"
"Alright, horror movie it is then."
She sat on her bed, waiting for you to come beside her.
"Great!" you started "I'm just gonna have a quick shower first, if that's okay"
"Sure, go ahead. You can use my bathroom."
She couldn't help but feel a little spark of joy as you said you wanted to have a shower. You wouldn't smell like Enid anymore, you would be hers only for the night.
She only had to wait a few minutes before you walked out of the bathroom, hair still wet, only wearing a towel around your body.
"I uh... kinda forgot to bring extra clothes... Would you mind if I borrowed some of yours...?" you asked hesitantly
Wednesday couldn't help the slight smile that spread across her face at the thought of you wearing her clothes.
"Of course not, take whatever pleases you."
"Thanks, you're the best!" you replied, relieved, before looking in her closet and grabbing her oversized hoodie
You went back to the bathroom to change.
When you came back, Wednesday couldn't resist to the urge to look you up and down. Seeing you in her hoodie made her feel things. It was as if you were a bit more hers now.
"You look adorable..."
<><><><> ♡ <><><><>
Since the past few weeks, you had been receiving anonymous texts telling you that your girlfriend isn't a good person. Recently, pictures accompanied the texts.
When you opened the first picture, you immediately went to Wednesday for advice, not knowing she was the one sending you these.
Photoshopping pictures of Enid and other people was the only way she found to make you leave her. It wasn't the most complicated thing to do, even for her; Enid had always been touchy, everyone knew it.
But she was never close enough for these touches to be suspicious.
All Wednesday had to do was bring them just a little bit closer to each other, and the illusion was perfect.
"What should I do..?" you asked, after you explained everything to her and handed her your phone for her to see the texts and pictures
"I think it's pretty obvious that she's cheating on you. You can't let that slide, she's clearly playing with you and your feelings."
"Are you saying... I should break up with her?"
"Yes."
"But I- maybe it's just a scam or something like that..."
"Y/n."
You looked up to her as she took a step closer.
"Why would anyone want to ruin your beautiful relationship with her? It's certainly not a scam. She's just... not who you think she is. It's going to be hard, but I'm here."
Wednesday almost gagged calling your relationship with Enid 'beautiful'.
"... I guess you're right..." you say quietly "Should I... go now...?"
"Oh, dear, no. Don't tell her in person."
"What..? Why?"
"She would try to gaslight you, telling you she didn't do anything wrong, and blaming it on someone else."
"But it's not... correct... to break up by text..."
"She doesn't deserve 'correct'" Wednesday said, maybe a little too quickly. She's a cheating, lying wh- "She's not a good person. After what she did to you, it's only fair you treat her that way."
You nodded at her words. She had always been wiser than you, she certainly knew better than you. So you decided to do as she said, and pulled out your phone to... do what needed to be done.
You cried in her arms all night after that. She hated to see you like that, crying, but it was for the greater good. You'd be so much happier with her... It would be worth the suffering.
Having you in her arms for a night, in her room, in her bed, made her so happy.
<><><><> ♡ <><><><>
The next six months after you broke up with Enid, you spent almost all your time with Wednesday. She was delighted about it, feeling that you were finally were you belonged: with her.
But right now, your other friends had suggested you accompany them on a little trip, to help you think of something else. And of course, you said yes.
Wednesday was enraged. She thought getting rid of Enid would be enough, but clearly it wasn't. She would have to get rid of your friends as well.
Just as she was about to smash something in her room in annoyance, she heard a knock at her door. She sighed and rolled her eyes, wondering who it could be.
She certainly didn't expect to find you on her doorstep, just as you were supposed to be with your friends on a trip.
"Y/n?"
You seemed mad. Wednesday felt her stomach twist at the thought that you might have found out for her plan.
"Aren't you with your friends?"
"No"
"Why is that, if I may ask?"
"They tried to turn me against you. They said you weren't a good person, and a ton of mean things about you. I'm not staying friends with people like that"
The ravenette gestured to you to come in, and you gladly obliged. She suggested you took a sit and tell her everything your 'friends' said about her.
She listened carefully while making tea for the two of you.
According to what you were saying, your friends were... well, they were right. Obsessed, jealous, possessive... three adjectives that described Wednesday pretty well, when it came to you.
Apparently, you were the only one not to see it, and for once, your obliviousness was a relief to the ravenette.
"And what did you tell them?" she asked, pouring you a cup of tea
"That I didn't want to be around them until they change their mind about you"
"Dear I... I don't think they will ever stop saying such things about me." she replied, looking almost ashamed to say it
"What? Why?"
"Well... I heard them talking about me when you were not around... They started those rumors about me, and about you too."
"They... talk about me behind my back...?"
"Yes. I should have told you sooner, you don't deserve 'friends' like that."
"Does everyone secretly hate me or something...?" you asked, tears in your eyes
"I could never hate you, dear"
Wednesday sat beside you and put and arm around you. You took the opportunity to hug her tightly.
"So it's just the two of us now, hm...? I guess it should have stayed that way, just me and you..." you said quietly "It has always worked, I don't even know why I tried getting close to other people... You're the only one I need"
Your words made Wednesday's heart pound in her chest. She had dreamt to hear you say that so many times. And now you were actually saying it.
You pulled away from the hug to give her a bright smile, dried tears shining on your cheeks as sunrays hit your face.
You truly meant what you said; you felt like you didn't need anyone else beside her. Or that's what you had been manipulated to think. Because that was her plan to keep you all to herself.
You that you didn't know.
At this moment, you knew she would be the only one not to betray you or hurt you. You knew she would stay by your side. She was all you wanted.
Maybe it had always been like that, you didn't know. All you could think about was how kissable her lips looked.
Before Enid, you had caught yourself wondering what it would be like to kiss Wednesday. Later, you figured it was because you never had kissed anyone, and so wanted to know how it felt.
But now you were reconsidering it.
"... Can I kiss you...?"
You were yourself a bit surprised by the words that came out of your mouth.
But it was nothing to the surprise that hit Wednesday. She was euphoric. She wanted your lips. Needed your lips. To know how they would feel like. How they would taste like.
But she couldn't let that show, no. If she did, you would understand she had always wanted you.
She tried to compose herself, and stay as calm as possible, feigning surprise.
"You want to kiss me? On the lips?" she paused for a second, but quickly continued before you changed you mind "I wouldn't mind if you kissed me..."
You felt your cheeks heat up at her words.
You leaned in, lips now only a few inches away from hers. Impatient, Wednesday closed the gap between you two, pressing her lips to yours.
It took her all her might not to show you how much she wanted you in that kiss. She took her time, kissing you softly, yet with passion, hands holding your waist maybe a bit too tightly.
But you don't mind. Don't care even. You felt safe, loved.
You kept the kiss going for a while, enjoying the feeling of her lips against yours, before finally pulling away.
Wednesday thought the kiss was amazing. Way better than what she imagined it would be -and she imagined it millions of times.
You thought it was amazing too. Not like when you kissed Enid at all. It was... different. Better.
"How was that, dear?" the ravenette asked you in a whisper
Her heart was pounding in her chest. If you said you didn't like it, she would be devastated. She would have to use means she would've preferred not to use on you.
"It was... wow... I- I don't know what to say I... It's so different from... what I experienced before..."
At the mention of previous experience -which meant Enid, Wednesday felt a wave of jealousy. Why would you bring her up now? It was your moment, just you and her.
"But I..." you continued "I liked it... And I think... I think I like you too"
She was delighted to hear you say it. But she needed more. She needed you make you hers.
She pulled you closer to hug you, burying her face in your neck. Your scent, your body against hers, it was driving her crazy. She couldn't control herself anymore.
She pressed wet kisses on your neck, a smirk forming on her lips as she hears your breath hitch.
"W-Wednesday..."
She continued her assault on your neck, kissing, licking, biting the soft skin there, leaving marks as a sign of her possession over you.
"Mine..." she all but groaned against your neck, her hands snaking under your shirt
"Wednesday we shouldn't-"
She cut you off by biting your neck a bit more, eliciting a moan from you.
The sounds almost made her moan too. She loved it. She was the one making you moan. She wanted to hear more. But she knew she had to stop here, or she would make you run away.
She pulled away from your neck, planting another kiss on your lips.
"Mine."
You started to notice her possessive side now, but you didn't care. She loved you. She wouldn't abandon you, betray you, lie to you, cheat on you, like the others. You needed her.
"All yours"

Can u write for Illumi who during the hunter exam gets a crush on reader who looks very delicate and feminine, but later he finds out he's a man?
(Insert clever title here)
Tumblr media
Characters: Illumi Zoldyck Type: Oneshot, Male!reader
he dig also i couldn't think of a title for this one LMAO
Warnings: canon typical violence? also for the purpose of being "feminine" reader has long hair and wears a skirt i imagine reader being in eglfashion but you don't have to it was just the first thing that came to mind
Tumblr media
Illumi wasn't too sure what it was but there was something about a certain contestant in the hunter exams that happened to catch his eye. Perhaps it was the way they looked so out of place, seemingly to dainty and delicate for an exam such as this.
You looked as though you should be home in your father's castle, reading in a garden or something. Maybe your elegance is what drew Illumi to you. Your long flowing hair and the cute skirt you chose to wear was something Illumi could appreciate, as he too liked to dress his best.
During the fourth phase of the exam, Illumi awoke from his slumber earlier than he had anticipated. Having nothing better to do, he decides to seek you out, curious as to how you've managed to hold up this long. To quell his own curiosity he decided to watch you.
From afar of course.
He sat high up in a tree and spotted you sitting by the river, watching the fish and how the water flowed downstream. This was a gorgeous scene to the assassin, though he could not explain why. Yes nature is beautiful and yes there was no doubt that you were easy on the eyes but there's no way that Illumi could be attracted to you, right? It's not a feeling a good assassin should have. So, ignoring the way his heart tells him to approach you and wanting to get to know you he continues to watch from above, boiling these feelings down to simple curiosity.
Through his observations, Illumi noticed something different about you. He had realized he's never once heard you speak and you were awfully flat chested for a woman. After some time he brushed these thoughts off, he hadn't spent any time close enough to you to hear you speak and your cup size was simply just none of his business. The faintest sound of rustling leaves coming from the bushes below caught both your and Illumi's attention.
You snapped your head in the direction of the sound just in time to see some rando jump out at you. You swiftly dodge their attack, hitting them on the back of the neck and watching them fall to the ground, paralyzed. You could only assume that they drew your number at the beginning of the phase. You had already collected all the points you needed, but decided to take any badges off of the person before you.
"I don't really need these, but you tried attacking me and I don't like that very much. And it was a lousy attempt at that," you scoff, standing up and holding the two badges you just pulled out of their vest.
Illumi both heard and watched the scene unfold, now knowing what your voice sounds like. Again, it was quite odd for a woman.
"Oh and you can stop watching me now," you speak up again, looking up towards Illumi's spot in the tree.
He was impressed to say the least. Managing to notice the eldest of the Zoldyck children was a feat of its own but you had somehow known since the beginning. Maybe if he was attracted to you, which by the way he totally isn't, it wouldn't be so bad. You could be a fine addition to the family.
Having been caught, he jumped down from his spot in the tree and stood to face you.
"Nice work. You took out your opponent with a single blow and managed to notice me despite my concealed presence," he complimented.
"I know my way around the human body. And as for you," you say, looking him up and down. "I just happen to be very vigilant."
Now that he had gotten a chance to speak to you and has seen the smallest glimpse of what you're capable of, Illumi decides to cut to the chase. Despite you being a complete stranger, he had deemed you worthy enough to bring you to Kukuroo mountain and watch your attempt at the testing gates. His mother would be happy to find out that he had found a potential suitor. If anything were to go wrong Illumi was confident that you wouldn't be able to take him on, let alone the entire family.
"Why don't you come back home with me after this is all over. Assuming you survive, of course."
Your eyes widen slightly at his straightforwardness before you let out a laugh and offer your answer.
"Sure thing pretty boy but there's one thing you should know first. I'm a man."
Illumi's brain flat lines at those 3 simple words and all he can let out is a confused "Oh."
Those weird things he noticed about you now made sense. This wasn't the worst thing ever considering he was already technically married to Hisoka(a man) for business. And from what Illumi can tell you're strong and have a good sense of fashion, meaning his mother would like you. The only possible issue in pursuing you was that the two of you probably wouldn't be able to have biological children.
While Illumi was having an inner battle, you caress his shoulder as you walked away.
"I'll leave you to think about that for a while."
A shock traveled down his spine as he stood, finally coming to a decision.
Fuck it, I'll make it work.

the night we met - b.d.
Tumblr media
bodhi durran x reader words: 1.6k 🏷: no book spoilers. she/her reader who wears a dress and makeup. can be read as a standalone, but this is part of Bodhi and Darling’s story!! just our shy bbs meeting for the first time before the revolution. I’m really leaning into the nobility thing here -- I was going for Bridgerton type vibes (that’s where the dress picture is from!) I sketched out their entire story last week and it's safe to say I'm obsessed. I hope you like it 🥺
April 628 AU — Tyrrendor
“The Durrans will be in attendance tonight,” your mother begins, picking at a loose thread on your duvet. “I know you’re fond of the Riorson boy — they’re his aunt’s family.”
“And we need to charm them into making some deal with father?” you guess.
It certainly wouldn’t be the first time. You already know what you have to do, what your role is in the evening’s affairs. You have it down to an exact science by now — be on your absolute best behavior, compliment the wife, let the husband boast, make polite conversation, look after the young children, if they have them…
“The deal is already made.”
You meet her eyes in the mirror. Something looks… off about her. Maybe she’s coming down with a cold.
There’s a knock at the door. The housekeeper, Anna, pokes her head in. “My apologies, Lady, but you’re needed downstairs."
Your mother sighs, standing and looking you over before she leaves. She does not comment on your appearance, which means it must be satisfactory -- the image that she desires, the immaculate eldest daughter, quiet and proper.
“Perfect,” your ladies’ maid, Siobhan, pronounces, looking down at you with pride. She’s pressed your hair into smooth curls that will withstand the early summer humidity, letting it fall naturally over your shoulders. “You’ll be the belle of the ball.”
Your cheeks warm at the compliment. “Thank you.”
She fluffs the curls once more, sighing. “To think, we’ll be pinning you up like your mother soon. How the time has flown.”
You give her a nervous smile — you know your days of wearing your hair down, your days as a single woman are numbered.
“Let’s get you dressed, then,” she says, lightening the mood. “Your father bought this for you when he was last in Calldyr city, and told me to save it for the right occasion. I think tonight is that night.”
She pulls open the armoire, taking out a dress you’ve never seen before.
“Oh, it’s beautiful,” you breathe. It is indeed — a soft plum silk with nearly-transparent floral lace overtop, complete with tiny beads at the center of the flowers.
“Go put it on,” she says with an easy smile.
You giggle with delight, taking it from her gently and darting behind the changing screen to put it on.
“How do you feel?” she asks, even though it’s obvious you’re in love with it.
“Like a princess,” you grin, unable to stop admiring the fabric in the mirror as she laces up the back for you.
“Then my work here is done.”
The words seem more final than they should. You hug her loosely, careful not to wrinkle your new dress or smudge your makeup. “Thank you,” you say in a whisper. “For everything.”
She rests a hand on your back, smiling. “Of course, dearest. Now go help your mama get everything ready.”
------------------------------------------------------
You’re normally able to take your parents' busy parties in stride, playing your role quietly and without protest, but tonight, you feel stifled by the amount of people in your house.
It’s easy enough to slip away from the festivities, out a side door into the gardens. You take a moment to breathe, letting the cool night air soothe your flushed skin.
Your head turns as you hear someone speaking; a boy your age, pacing back and forth across the path.  “I know neither of us had any say in this matter, but I’d like to… no, ugh. I should like to get to know you… I…”
He sighs, straightening and starting over. “It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my lady. I hope that we can get to know each other in the coming months, and that we can become friends. I know neither of us had any say in this matter, but you have my word that I will care for you and protect you until the end of our days. I-”
He startles, his eyes widening in shock as he finally sees you standing there.
“I’m sorry. I did not mean to frighten you,” you apologize. “It was a lovely speech. Whatever young lady it is intended for will be quite pleased to hear it.”
“I’m not so sure,” he says, sighing. “Do you know her? Our hosts’ eldest daughter?”
You finally connect the pieces, notice the resemblance he bears to Xaden, the same dark curls and tawny skin… This is him. This is the Durrans’ son.
The deal is already made.
You think you might faint, several emotions hitting you at once, none that you can name. You shove them down before they can rise to the surface. “I do know her,” you manage after a moment. “I am her.”
The boy’s eyes widen further in surprise, but quickly soften at the stunned look on your face. “They didn’t tell you, did they?” he asks quietly.
You shake your head no. You knew the time would come, when your parents would agree to marry you off to the most eligible man, ne’er to be seen again, but you didn’t think it would be so soon.
You take a good look at him, the man whose parties you will host and whose bed you will warm until the end of your days, whom you must provide an heir.
He’s certainly handsome, with smooth brown skin and a head of thick black curls, full lips and a bright smile… and well dressed, too. His jacket looks perfectly tailored, the shirt and cravat underneath pressed and tied neatly. And he’s your age, and not ten years your senior, as some of your friends from school had been matched with. He looks kind, like he’ll treat you well — he’d said as much in the speech you’d heard him rehearse.
You know this is the best possible outcome, but you still feel a flicker of hurt.
He wasn’t given a choice either, but at least his parents had informed him before the party began, had given him a moment, however fleeting, to sit with the news before you met. Was your mother going to tell you before Anna had interrupted, or was she going to wait until he was standing in front of you, until you had no time to protest?
Did Siobhan know, too? Is that why she’d brought out this dress, said that tonight was the night? Had the one person you trusted most in the world, that you felt you could truly be yourself with, kept this from you as well?
You realize you’ve been silent too long, composing yourself quickly. “I agree with you,” you begin, clearing your throat delicately. “If your parents are anything like mine, there is no changing their minds. We’ll just have to make the best of the situation.”
You offer him a soft smile, though it’s clear that you’re still freaking out.
“You already heard most of the speech, I guess,” he says, giving you a bashful smile. “I’m Bodhi.”
He extends a hand to shake — less intimate than the traditional greeting of a kiss to the back of your hand, and more fitting of the occasion; this is a business deal, after all.
You take it.
His skin is soft, and warm despite the chill of the night air, his hand wrapping around yours easily.
You flush and pull away as you realize neither of you are wearing gloves -- you’d tugged yours off when you’d come out here, unable to stand the feeling of the itchy lace between your fingers any longer.
He realizes the same, shoving his hands into his pockets.
You clasp yours in front of you, squeezing your knuckles together to quell your nerves. You don’t know what else to say, how to begin this arrangement that will last you the rest of your lives. How had your parents managed this? And their parents before them?
You hear your name called across the garden, every muscle in your body tensing at your mother’s voice. You scramble to pull your gloves back on, taking a few steps back from Bodhi and smoothing out your skirt.
“Go,” you whisper. “There’s a door past the apple tree.”
He gives you a nod of thanks before he darts away.
“There you are,” she huffs. “Your father and I have been looking everywhere for you.”
You watch Bodhi slip back inside, letting out a small breath of relief. She’s undoubtedly going to give you an earful about abandoning your hostly duties, but at least you won’t have been caught outside with a man, unchaperoned -- though you suppose it wouldn’t really matter, since you’re to be married, anyway.
“I’m sorry,” you say quietly, folding your hands. “I just needed some fresh air.”
She softens, abandoning the lecture, and removes a glove, touching the back of her hand to your forehead. “Do you feel alright? You’re quite warm.”
“I’m fine,” you promise, though your heart has not yet stopped racing. “We should get back to our guests.”
She smiles at you for the first time today, pulling you into an exceptionally rare embrace. “I don’t say it often enough, but I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become.”
Ten minutes ago, the compliment and the loving touch would have made you beam with pride. Now it just gives you a sinking feeling.
Later that night, after you’re formally introduced, when you take his hand and let him lead you to the center of the room for a waltz, you feel like you’ve known each other much longer than one evening; you already have a shared secret.
This might work, you decide. You just might fall in love with him.

About representation of child abuse in ML
I’m sorry if this isn’t the proper way to send it I chose it because I can actually divide paragraphs here. I am also assuming none of the abuse submissions are reblogged because of the subject.  I was neglected as a child(parents often forgot to feed me, didn’t care about my hygiene and I couldn’t go to the doctor when I should have) and emotionally abused after coming out as trans as a young teen(constantly being pressured to stop being trans, treating me as stupid and melodramatic for being trans at all, showing open disgust if I did something “too manly” etc.). I was a bully for two years in middle school before realizing the weight of what I was doing. I had to put in a lot of effort to improve, especially since guilt was feeding into already-existing self-hatred. When I first saw Miraculous Ladybug on TV I didn’t expect child abuse to come up at all since it’s a hard topic even for adults and Miraculous didn’t seem like the show to tackle a complicated topic. Looking back they shouldn’t have tried because they end up giving incredibly bad messages. As you point out Chloe is treated as irredeemable and sent off with her abusive parent as punishment while Andre is never treated as the neglectful parent he is. While children can be abusive to their parents Andre is the mayor of Paris while Chloe is a kid, he holds a lot of power here that he refuses to use at all. He also doesn’t try to get Chloe psychological help which would be the correct course of action seeing her mother despite the fact it wouldn’t even make a dent in his pocket. It would be better to either have Chloe’s redemption fail while highlighting how her parents affect her behaviour but don’t justify it or have a straightforward redemption arc, maybe one where she doesn’t get forgiven but still improves to show kids there’s a way out. “I will always be like this because of abuse” is an easy thought to fall into and ML accidentally ends up teaching it to kids, Jesus. The other thing that really bugs me is the treatment Gabriel gets, it seems to me that the show tries to use his love for his wife and son as a redeeming quality but I am not sure on how good an idea that is. It’s better than if he were to hate Adrien but loving Adrien doesn’t excuse any of the things he does. In my experience most abusive parents do love their children, they really think they are doing the best for their kids. The kicker comes in when they end up harming their children in some way but refuse to acknowledge it. If your parents always end up doing more harm than good and refuse to stop, then love alone can’t save it. I don’t think that point was there as Gabriel’s love was portrayed as a good thing because this show doesn’t do nuance. Also the plot Gabriel abusing Adrien should mainly be about how Adrien feels. Of course it will affect other characters but Adrien is the one getting abused by Gabriel. Gabriel is also an incredibly controlling parent who takes away Adrien’s agency and the show never really addresses that. Adrien is a bystander in a story-arc about him getting abused. He never learns that Gabriel is Hawk Moth(writers seem to think we forgot Chat Blanc and even then that episode was more about “Ooo hero gets akumatized”), we never learn his thoughts about the whole situation and Gabriel completely gets his way in the end, leading to a happy ending. Adrien’s contribution to the finale is giving up the agency he had left. This really left a sour taste in my mouth. If you’re not going to deal with how abuse affects Adrien, why write it in at all?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, I’d like to thank you for being able to step forward and talk about your history with your parents. I’m very sorry that you had to go through that.
Second of all, you make a good point with how much the show empasizes Gabriel’s love for his family supposedly justifying his terrible actions, with or without the mask. It doesn’t help that, like you said, he doesn’t even get to confront Gabriel about their relationship himself, and ends the season believing all the delusions Gabriel had about him being a good father.
Hell, even the movie does a better job at pointing out how much Gabriel has hurt his son over the show itself, and I’m pretty sure that’s why so many people prefer that version of Gabriel over this one.

20: "How long did you think that you could hide that?"
Sun Centric | Wordcount: 1,338 | AO3 Version
I pulled another Solar Lunacy bullet draft out for this prompt, so this is more of a SL crumb than it is a stand-alone drabble. Expect to see this scene again in SL, but maybe written better (and a different beginning and ending, some details more fitting, ect)
To be fair, you had done an excellent job hiding the limp you had so far.
It happened this morning. Routine schedule with a list of tasks and chores that required a cleaning cart's assistance to lug around all the tools and trash, except you got your wheel caught in the small gap at the entrance of the elevator, and your attempt to free it consisted of you pulling and pushing and praying to whatever was out there to dislodge the damn thing while profusly apologizing to the Pizzaplex goers behind you waiting impatiently for use of the elevator while you struggle.
Eventually, you get it dislodged. Yay! Unfortunatly, you twist your ankle when it pops out and you have to do some sort of ninja type of move to prevent from accidently being rolled over on. Only, you were a terrible acrobat, and now your ankle was throbbing and you didn't even have ibeprofen to help with it.
So! Power through it. You'll ice it when you get home. These paychecks won't earn themselves.
You don't allow yourself to limp because you don't want to get any stares or complaints from the families roaming the pizzaplex, or have any of the animatronics send you a concerned look (which makes you act particularly casual when Freddy comes around to say hi. The last thing you want to do is have the busy bear worry about you.) which means you're gritting your teeth and blowing air through your nose, but faking it until you make it seems to work.
That is, until you arrive at the daycare.
You bring a cart full of diapers, wipes and other important items for stock, the heavy lifting the last chore for the day but the one you were dreading the most. Sun greets you at the door, and behind him is a chorus of small voices that yell out greetings to you as soon as you walk in.
Friendly bunch, they are. You're glad the Daycare Attendant has his hands busy with the kids, so if you needed to lean on the desk for a moment, you probably wouldn't look suspisious. Rolling the cart in, you wave to the gaggle of children that sitting on the floor, gathered for story time probably, before wheeling the cart towards the shelves-
Metal hands come around your shoulders, stopping you in place. "My, my! You've brought us so many presents!"
You crane your head back. Sun's smile beams down at you, and you smile back. "Yeah! Hope you like diapers."
"I sure do! Keeps all the messy bits easy for quick cleaning." He jests, and as if on cue a couple of children give a very cute 'eewwwwww' in the background as you snort. Sun's head rotates completely, in full-jester mode. "Oh, you'll be joining us for story time, won't you? Won't you?"
You wave him off, forcing your face to remain plain and chipper despite the pain that was swelling up your leg at the moment. "Sorry, no can do. I gotta get these boxes sorted first-"
"Oh, but I think you can, and you will!" Suddenly, the hands on your shoulders are gripping a little bit tighter. You are all but guided (more like half-dragged) to where the gaggle of children are sitting in a circle and plopped in the middle. "In fact, you should take over! I've been telling the same fairy tales, all princesses and monsters and bears and rabbits-" Sun pats you on the back, non-chalant. "Why don't you tell a story, something new? I'm sure you have it in you friend."
As nice as it was to be sitting down on the mat where there wasn't a weight constant on your ankle, the several pairs of wide anticipating eyes of children was a little unerving. "Uh-"
"Good!" Sun reels back, hands on his hips. In one swift motion, his legs swivel around to start walking towards the cart and boxes, while his head and torso stay facing you and the children. "I'll take care of these gifts! Better this way, I have a very particular way of organizing things you know."
He leaves you there, and now you're stuck entertaining children until he's finished.
...Honestly? Not the worst thing he's done, and there's a sense of reflief since you're not standing anymore, so you'll play right into the game.
You tell the children stories about the horrors of what happens if you don't brush your teeth enough, of a boy that ate so many greens he became the strongest being in the world, of a dog that learned how to play basketball, of aliens that crashed into hawaii and made friends and a family there. Anything you can pull off the topc of your head, really, and lucky enough for you; they were eating the stories out of the palm of your hand.
Sun is quicker than you would have been putting away the boxes, and is at the ready for checkout when some of the first parents arrive to pick up their children. You continue to tell the stories even as your audience dwindles, answering questions when they raise their hands and resisting the urge to laugh when a little boy with glasses too big asks you if Santa Clause was an alien.
Sun finishes the stocking rather quickly, and instead retaking his spot, sits cross legged and joins the circle of children easgly waiting to hear your story. He even goes as far as to lightly clap when you're finished with one, the other children joining in just to mimick him. It's actaully really cute.
The last boy is checked out by his parents. You wave from your spot on the floor mat, not moving because you don't feel like it and uncaring if you looked a little silly to the mother. Sighing, you let relief out of your lungs as Sun closes and locks the Daycare doors behind them.
Sun literally cartwheels back to you, spinning on one heel before plopping down right in front of you. His height makes him tower over you even as you're both sitting down, and you're currently thinking about an excuse to say or mustering up the strength to stand on that leg again.
Sun leans forwards, head resting in his hands and smiling widly. "Looks like you've become quite the favorite around here!"
You return the smile, and move to get up. "Yeah, yeah. Just promote me at this rate and I can take your job all the time-"
A hand clasps around your knee and you wince. The preassure is genlte, not huritng, but heavy enough it forces you back down to the ground where you sit and stare at the Daycare Attendant's grip on your leg, and his thoughtful face as he hums. "And how long did you think you could hide that?"
A tug from your leg to free yourself, his grip doesn't budge. You almost pout. "...hide what?"
Fingers lessen around your pants leg, trail lower down to your ankle and hook underneath the fabric, pushing it up. There's a definate swollenness to your ankle now, more so than the last time you checked. Sun tuts at the sight of it. "This, friend."
Aw rats, you've been caught. "It's fine, I'm not a wuss."
"We never said you were!" Sun gasps, offended. A pause. "Well, I never said you were. Still a terrible idea, though."
Your shrug is half-hearted. "So? I can't exactly slack off, here. I'm already in hot water with managment and bills don't pay themselves."
"You are very lucky I was programmed with much patience!" Sun sounds like a mixture of frusteration, exasperation, and affection. It's a comforting tone of voice, so it doesn't alarm you right away until the animatronic's hands are reaching forwards, hooking underneath your knees and against your lower back before you can protest. "Onwards, to the first aid corner!"
"...Does this mean you've gotten a doctor's license yet?"
"I am not legally required to answer that question!"

Fire & Desire
Pairing: Aemond Targaryen x reader (mentioned) , Aegon ii Targaryen x reader (wc: 2.2k)
Summary: Many sacrifices have been made to get Aegon on the throne. Including ones made by you
A/N: this had been sitting in my drafts for sooo long. I thought I’d revise it a bit, give me a bit of a break from fool me once. Hope y’all like it 🫶🏽🫶🏽. Sorry if there is lots of typos this was sort of posted on a whim
Tumblr media
When Aegon becomes King, it is up to us to guild him in the right direction. To have the ear of your husband is ever important…. That may mean giving things up in return.
The words had been ringing in your head all night. Along with the image of Alicent’s uncomfortable grimace. Your instinct was the ask her what she meant by that; play silly and confused. Easily moldable and docile, the way most people like.
But you know your good mother too well for that. She knows all. You should have seen this moment coming.
The next thing you wanted to do was apologize. Tell her that you do not know how you got yourself in this predicament. But Aegon has never been one to apologize for his indiscretions, so why should you. All you can give her a curt nod.
You know she advices you without any malice. The bolstering hate you sometimes saw in Queen Alicent, the kind you see in all her children in different dosages, had cooled to a melancholy resentment over the years. She’s grown older, a bit wiser. Or maybe she is just tired.
The type of debilitating exhaustion that only women would get. Women forced to do the bidding of those around them.
It was never going to be simple. It is never easy with this family. An heir that is never around, a dead King that was never suited from the job, and a circle of scheming noblemen. Recipe for chaos and destruction.
Alicent does not have the hope to be disappointed anymore. Everything is for survival now. So much has been given up for this, and now comes your time to pay the price. Just like Alicent has.
If she knows, you can assume that means Aegon does too. He is more observant than anyone would give him for.
There are days he looks at you, and you think he can tell what you have been up to. He can look right through you and see what his brother did to you that morning, or late the night before.
Does he wonder where you run off to, the way you did with him at the beginning of your marriage. When there was a blinding and painful need to make it work. If he does know, you are surprised he has not said anything to do… or to Aemond. Aegon’s emotions flow hot and wild. Being on the opposite end of it is a sight. But then he levels off, normally numbs whatever he feels with wine or whores. He is simple in a complicated way.
If he has any inkling about what you have been doing, he has not made it known. You don’t know if that is a relief or if it hurts. None of that Targaryen madness dealt out for his wife.
Your thoughts are broken when he stalks in. Freshly washed, slight bruises on his face, and wrapped in despair.
He does now acknowledge for presence, just climbs into bed after blowing out the few candles on his side of the room. The two of you lay in silence before you feel like you will crawl out of your skin if you do not say anything.
“I will stop seeing him… in that way,” you say into the darkness, voice stronger than you thought it would be. “If that pleases you.”
You turn from your back to your side to face him; you are greeted with a eyeful of silvery hair that seems to glow in the dark. His back facing you, rigid and uncomfortable.
“Aegon, did yo-“
“I heard you the first time,” he sighs, interrupting you.
There is more silence. You continue to stare at his back, till he slowly turns to face you. Even in the dark you can see the frown on his face. The moonlight illuminating him It is like speaking with his mother all over again. Does Alicent look at Aegon and get frightened? To give birth to someone who looks so much like you but disappoints you so deeply must be haunting. A terrible mirror to have.
“I am surprised you are even admitting it,” he mutters.
You decide not to tell him that the admission comes at the behest of his mother. There is no need to add to the list of things that splitter that relationship.
“We are going to need each other, now more than never. I am willing to admit… wrongdoing and repent for it. But we both have to do that for it to work.”
Your tongue feels heavy calling whatever Aemond, and you have wrongdoing. The proper term for it does not come because you don’t know what you two are. Lovers, confidants, prisoners. It’s all the same.
The frown deep softens a bit.
“Aenar is mine.”
It comes out like statement, but you suppose it is meant to be a question. Aenar is all Aegon is best and worst ways. Sweet cherubic features and a rambunctious spirit. They even pout in the same way when they do not get what they want. They are so alike that it stupidly makes you wonder at what age he will let you down. The way his father has before him.
“He is yours,” you whisper. “A tiny terror.”
Aegon lets out a short fit of playful laughter. The affection Aegon has towards the kids is something you were constantly taken aback by. When he was around, and in his right mind, he is electric with them. It made you a bit jealous. You pushed your body to the max, and Aenar follows him like he is a god. A Targaryen God.
“But Valaena…” he trials off bitterly.
You do not answer immediately. While Aemond barely even looked at you by the time you became pregnant with Aenar, things were different by the time you had your little girl. Your relationship with Aemond sweet and syrupy. The glow of intimacy neither of you had experienced before.
“No, she is yours.”
It is easier to say that, her features still soft and indiscernible. You think she is his. You hope for his sake she is. Aegon becomes extra warm around her. Baby talk and soft looks of love.
Perhaps you hope he is for her sake as well. If Aemond thinks Valaena is his daughter, he makes no effort to show it. At first, you thought it was him being smart. Knowing that taking too much of a liking would be suspicious. Then you quickly learned he just has no interest in that part of you. Sometimes you fear he sees that extension of you, your kids, as obstacles instead.
Living and breathing embodiments of the duty you put first.
“You would really stop,” Aegon rips you from his thoughts. “Tell Aemond that it is done?”
His voice lifts intrigued. A different conversation you had with Alicent floats in your mind.
Their want for different things keeps them from expressing their love, but it is there.
“Will you stop fathering flea bottom bastards?”
Aegon scoffs at your question, but nonetheless shuffles closer to you. He smells like lemon and roses.
“This is going to be so bad,” his voice wobbles a bit.
You want to agree, because it will; it is going to be blood spilling amounts of terrible. Instead of expressing that you lean forward too.
It is how the two of you fall asleep. Foreheads pressed together, noses brushing, and slow breathes mangled together.
Is that what having your husband’s ear is like?
Tumblr media
You know you are staring, unabashedly and grotesquely.
The only saving grace being that you are not the only one. Everyone in the dragon pit has their gaze on Aegon. Small folk watch on in confusion or admiration. Everyone on the stage hold more somber or stoic faces. Everyone accept Otto that is, who looks as pleased as you have ever seen him.
Alicent’s face is serenely flat. Helaena cannot look at her brother for too long, looking away at times. You do not dare turn to see Aemond’s reaction. Especially not after avoiding him all morning. There was a sinking feeling you got when your lady in waiting told he was outside of the door. Cowardly, you told her to tell him you were occupied. You did not know what to say to him yet.
Now all you can do if stare, and fiddle with the crisp fabric of your mute pink and gardenia dress.
It is terribly quiet in the pit. It only makes the affair even more uneasy.
There is something so devastatingly beautiful about his tear-stained face. You enjoy Aegon like this. Needy, helpless, and metaphorically flat on his back with shock and despair.
When he finally rises, Conqueror’s crown on his head, his eyes darts to everyone on stage. When his large, watery eyes finally get to you, you try to give him an encouraging smile. You are sure it reads more painful than reassuring or comforting. You bow your head expectedly.
King Aegon, Second of His Name. Gods helps you all.
The tides change once he turns to face the crowd. When the cheers start, there goes your meek Aegon. He lifts Blackfyre with a vigor you have never seen from your husband. There is a satisfaction that radiates off him. It’s stunning and terrifying to watch.
Despite everything, your eyes tear themselves away long enough to briefly glance at Aemond. If Aegon’s feeling burn fast and dissipate to light fizzles of hate, then Aemond’s resentment simmers for years, and flares when the flames are fanned.
His eyes never leave his brother’s back. Everyone enraptured by Aegon’s attitude change for different reasons.
The cheers reach their peak, and foolishly you think maybe things will be alright.
Then everything goes black.
This is going to be so bad
Tumblr media
It is only in the comfort of his own chambers, where Aemond feels like he can finally let out the breath he has been holding in for days.
His stomach has been in knots for days, waves nausea fluttering in certain moments. It reminds him of after he first lost his eye. He would get such painful headaches that it made sick.
Now it is not his lack of an eye ailing him, it is you.
He should have known something was wrong when you would not allow him to see you. The necklace was missing too. The sterling silver locket with a sparkling sapphire in the middle of it. You had not taken it off since he gifted it to you… till today.
Aemond knows what it means.
You could barely meet his eye, as if you think your rejection would break him. He would rather gouge his other eye out than give Aegon the satisfaction of that.
The only time you seemed aware of his presence is when you squeezed his arm when they were all face to face with Meleys. The squeeze was surprisingly strong. Though it was not a scared squeeze, it was almost reassuring. You were ready to die. You had told him one night; whispered it in the dark. You knew it would be coming, and sooner than you wanted.
“Of course, we are going to die young,” you smile with little mirth. “Think of family we are in.”
You had only expressed sadness for your children. That you hope when that time comes someone kind will take care of them and prayed, they would remember you as a gentle mother.
What a way it would’ve been to die at the fire of dragon. You, him, his siblings, and his mother… one big happy family.
Aemond decides not to tell you that sometimes he goes in Valaena’s room and just looks. He waits for the paternal instincts to kick in. One day he expects to look and see flashes of himself. As of now all he sees is your eyes. He supposes that is the next best thing. He already must see his brother, and mini version of him that hides behind your skirts.
He has no desire to take care a child right now, and he is not even sure she is his. But to be bound to you another way would be so lovely. So many parts of him are now yours, and vice versa. What is one more?
Aemond is not mad. He finds the whole idea of a mad Targaryen a bit macabre, even for his taste.
But he sees visions of Aegon sitting the throne with you at his side as queen and thinks it would be ok to see King’s Landing up in flames. Even better if he is the one to light the fire.
He saw the way your demeanor instantly shifted. Tending to hurt small folk, telling guards where to go and what to do. There was not a lick of fear in your eyes when someone addressed you as the queen. In fact, Aemond was sure he saw a flicker of glee run through your eyes. He cannot fault the self-serving side of you. He wishes to devour it the way he wishes to devour every other part of you.
You would have never agreed to marry Aegon if this outcome was not a possibility. Giving up a chance to have your name in the history books as Queen and your son as future heir is not an opportunity you would give up. Certainly not for him. Aemond knows Rhaenyra is coming. If not his half-sister, then his uncle will be plotting and planning. So, he will do what he always does. Sit and wait. One eye firmly on his clever girl.
When the spark is finally set, he hopes you two will burn together.

Rick Flag x Reader
Plot: You were always at odds with a certain Colonel. Will Christmas change things?
Genre: PG-13, Colleagues/Neighbors/Enemies to Lovers (wow so many tropes in one haha) Christmas theme (again)
A/N: Big thanks to @the-slumberparty for letting me not forget my writing roots in times of writer’s slump/block! 2nd piece for sleepover event to hopefully end the year right. Enjoy and please reblog/comment!❤️
Tumblr media
Prompt: “I never hated you. I just didn’t want you to know how much I liked you.”
***
“Motherfu-”
You yell in pain as the infirmary doctor at Belle Reve patches up your injuries. “Sorry, I wasn’t-”
The doctor waves away your apology nonchalantly. He brushes a strand of grey hair off his face before applying more iodine to the angry looking flesh on your knee. Hats off to him, he does quick and efficient work. The doctor sends you on your way with a month’s worth of painkillers and advice to rest.
“Thanks doc, but I don’t think that’s in Waller’s dictionary. At least not for us.”
He doesn’t refute your statement and simply prepares to see his next patient. Bag of medicine in hand, you limp to the office as quickly as you can. You want to get out of the penitentiary and lay in the comfort of your own bed.
You acknowledge Emilia and John who congratulate you on another successful mission. Even Amanda Waller, who you had to submit your report to despite being on the brink of death gives a subtle nod to the quick thinking that you displayed on the field. But knowing her, she probably was just happy that she could continue using her soldiers.
Including the ridiculously handsome Colonel who had marched into the shared office space, not sparing you a glance. He shoves his belongings into his bag and he is gone as quickly as he came.
You frown. You have no idea what’s his problem. Ever since your first day, it felt as if like he’s had it out for you. And the best part? For no good reason. He was civil with everyone. Everyone but you. He was downright rude and a jerk.
Emilia gives you an empathetic smile. The two of you leaned on each other, being one of the few females in an environment that wasn’t exactly sunshine and rainbows. She comforted you after Rick blew your head off for almost ruining the mission when all you did was to rescue two innocent children in the crossfire.
“Cheer up! At least it’ll be Christmas soon. Things will be different.” She says. “Any plans?”
You shake your head. “Not that I can think of. I’m just lucky that I survived this mission.” You sling your bag over your shoulder and bid them goodbye. Emilia was right, at least it was that time of the year. Maybe things will be different.
***
It looks like the doctor had clearly outdone himself. Your injuries were healing nicely and you could even step outside your house for a jog. Dressed in your running gear, you leave your apartment and step into the pleasantly cold weather.
Making your way round the block, you arrive back at your apartment. You think about what you wanted to do next with the treasured free time that you have. Perhaps you’ll order in from that Korean restaurant, pull out a Disney movie and be a couch potato for the rest of the day.
Yeah, that sounded excellent.
Deep in thought about what you should pick from the menu, you don’t notice that one of the stitches from your more severe wounds snap, causing a patch of red to blossom at the side of your stomach. The lift dings, signaling that this is your floor. Thank god no one saw you. They knew who you were but most of your neighbors were under the impression that you were an outdoor educator.
Clutching the side of your stomach, you willed yourself to take the steps forward needed to get to your door. Easy does it, you think. Unfortunately, your vision starts to spot and the floor starts to shake. This unnerves your usually calm demeanor as your breathing quickens. As if it was an eternity, you reach the door. All you needed to do was to get the keys, unlock the door and-
And…
***
You blink, shifting uncomfortably on the sofa. To be exact, your sofa.
How did you get inside? You can’t remember anything after the jog.
“You’re awake.” A familiar voice can be heard and a flop of messy blonde hair comes into vision. You don’t know how Rick Flag got into your house, let alone knew that you lived here.
“Rick?”
“Yeah, it’s me darlin.”
The name somehow wakes you up and you attempt to sit upright only for Rick to gently push you back down. “I just did your stitches for you. You don’t want to burst them again.” He tells you and your cheeks heat up. Rick did your stitches, which means he saw you- Stop it!
“How did you know where I lived? How did you even know I was coming back home?” You focus your attention on the important moments. “Are you stalking me? I could sue you for workplace harassment.”
Rick lets out a deep chuckle that has butterflies bursting in the pit of your stomach. “Yeah, you do that. Though I don’t think there’s any issue with me coming to this building seeing as it’s my home too.”
You let yourself process this. “Wait… you’re the neighbor from five-oh-two?” You wanted to mentally slap yourself in the face. No wonder Mrs Jenkins told you that neighbor five-oh-two was supposedly a private contractor. That he had weird, odd hours. That apparently you should have met him since you and him leave around the same time in the morning for work.
Rick smiles. “That’s me.”
You almost let your defenses down until you realized that it’s been eight months since you moved in here and you’ve met everyone on your level except one. Until now.
This reaffirms the fact that Rick Flag hates you for no good reason and has wants nothing to do with you outside work. Even if he is your neighbor. Fine. Two people can play that game.
“Thanks for fixing me up. I’m not sure why the stitch burst open but I’ll let Doctor Shaw know when I get back to work.”
Rick catches on to your sudden frostiness. His expression softens for a moment before it is replaced by the brooding look that you have grown so accustomed to. “Sure. Uh… have a good Christmas.”
That was oddly civil.
You nod stiffly, closing the door as he steps out your house.
You really need a glass of water.
***
Christmas. The time of jolly good cheer.
You walk down the shops that are adorned with bright lights and Christmas decorations, mood improving significantly.
Okay, the steak that you had for dinner also played a part in the great day that you had. You also decided to treat yourself, purchasing a lovely sweater. Bag in hand, you continue down the pavement. If only every day could be like this. Not throwing yourself into life or death situations, not having criminals as your field members, not having to deal with a tyrannical boss at work and most importantly…
Not having to see Rick Flag twenty-four seven.
Even if he may be disarmingly handsome and everything that you wanted.
A loud honk and bright flights come flashing at you and instead of ducking for cover, you stand there like a deer in headlights, as if waiting for the truck to hit you.
A hand reaches out and grabs you by the arm, pulling you back to safety where pedestrians continue on their way. You find yourself staring into the sea foam eyes of the Colonel who does not look pleased one bit. In fact, he looks positively seething with rage. Rage that was about to be directed at you.
“What were you thinking? Are you trying to get yourself killed?” He grips you by the shoulder tightly and you would have swatted his hands away if you weren’t still recovering from the shock of it all. “Are you injured anywhere? Do you need me to take you to the hospital?”
You shake your head slowly and Rick sighs with relief. Apparently, he only just realizes what he is doing and removes his hands as if like he had touched something that he shouldn’t have. This annoys you and is also enough to tip you over the edge.
“What’s your problem?”
Rick’s brows furrow in confusion before his face twists in disgust. “Is this how you thank someone for saving you from almost being hit by a one ton truck?”
“No, this is me asking if you have a problem with me.” You refuse to back down. “Because it’s either you pretend to be worried or save me from a ‘rookie’ mistake I made on the field and proceed to humiliate me publicly!” You raised your voice. “If you hate me, make it clear. I can’t do anything about work but I can make myself disappear when we’re outside.”
You proceed to turn around to be on your way when Rick holds you by the wrist. He hangs his head, surprisingly defeated by your words. You want to twist yourself out of his grasp, but his sad golden retriever appearance is making it very hard for you to be the villain here.
“Please,” Rick pleads. “Stay.”
An internal you battle, you relent and let him take you to a nearby cafe. He insists on getting you something, so you order a simple hot chocolate to calm your nerves. You remain silent, waiting for what the Colonel has to say.
“I’m sorry.”
You cock your head to the side, unsure if you were hearing things after that truck almost ran you over.
“I didn’t mean to do all of that.” Rick starts. “It was unprofessional and very unlike me. It was just that-” He inhales deeply.
“When I see you throwing yourself in danger or being in danger… my mind stops working. I’m so scared that one day, things will go wrong and I’m left alone again.” He grips the handle of his mug tightly.
“Remember when you saved those two children?”
“How could I forget?”
“You were amazing for that. You were fearless and brave. That’s what I wanted to tell you. But my fear became the better of me and I hurt you instead.” Rick recounts bitterly.
“I never hated you. I just didn’t want you to know how much I liked you.”
Rick can’t bring himself to look at your reaction. Perhaps a peek and he sees that your mouth is hanging open slightly. Oh, he’s done it. He’s really blown this to bits. Perhaps he can file in a transfer when he gets to work - yeah, as if Waller would allow that. Perhaps death would be the best option.
“Then say it.”
Rick stares at you, dumbfounded. A small smile is etched on your lips. “Say it you big dummy.” You laugh this time and his heart skips a beat.
“Okay, maybe I’ll say it first. Get the ball rolling hm?” You add playfully, enjoying the look on his face. “I lo- oof!”
Rick knocks his chair over from standing up to fast as he makes his way to you, engulfing you in a big and warm embrace. You freeze but only momentarily before melting into his hug that smelled like cinnamon.
“I love you Y/N Y/S/N.” He says breathlessly before giving you what was possibly the most mind shattering kisses that you ever had.
The Christmas lights start to dance around each other and the music in the cafe plays a slow jazz song. People trickle in and out for a nice warm drink and you are content with how Christmas has played out today.
Christmas could be different after all.

When were Constantine and Charlie born?
How many languages do both of them understand?
Why did Lucifer forbid Constantin from learning souls magic?
How is Lucifer and Lilith's relationship like (i mean, give me an example of how they interact with each other?
And finally...why didn't they have children sooner? Or what made them want children?
Love your art and your AU, i really am looking forward to it, and I don't care if you are not a good writer, I need a full fanfic for Sinner's Symphony
1.
Constantine was born in 1812
and Charlie was born in 1818.
2. Both Constantine and Charlie know a spell that allows them to understand all human languages, but without this spell they can speak the angelic language, the demonic language. Constantine speaks Latin, Italian, Spanish, Scandinavian and Japanese.
Charlie learned Japanese and Italian because it interested her.
3. They are kind of like Gomez and Mortica, Lucifer was the first person to treat Lilith with respect, and they became very close friends after spending time together in the garden, and then they became friends, and they both made each other very happy, and then they fell in love, and after the fall they became each other's confidant and the most trusted person, because they were the only light they could find in that dark prison. They ruled their kingdom together and ruled together and ruled equally. And for 10,000 years they have had a marriage based on respect and love and they still love each other.
4. Lilith and Lucifer wanted children after establishing their kingdom, not because they wanted a future heir, they were both almost immortal, but because they wanted to start a family, they wanted to create a light in this eternal dark prison, but it was not that easy.
The reason they had children after 9,000 years was because Lilith kept miscarrying.
‘’there is a reason why Constantine and Charlie were born almost nine thousand years later. lilith and lucifer tried many things but lilith's blood was corrupted after she became a sinner lucifer's blood was pure because he was one of the 7 angels even though he fell
(in my AU also angel blood is like acid for demons it burns them directly) so the baby died before it was born. lucifer and lilith searched for centuries to find a solution and finally they came up with a solution (this idea is still a wip so I'm not sure)
if during lilith's pregnancy maybe both of them would transfer some of their life energy to the baby continuously maybe the baby would be able to hold on to life maybe that way the two bloods would balance and even though.
this would weaken them a lot during this 9 month period they took this risk and it worked. That's why they shouldn't exist, their blood should kill them but it doesn't. In fact it makes them stronger, in a way they are an anomaly.
''someone who shouldn't exist, who shouldn't be alive. but look what fate has done, I'm in front of you, upright and standing. and God only knows what I'm capable of.-''
I'm still thinking about how Constantine and Charlie have blood. I want to think about a special blood for them.maybe orange ıdk’’
---
I am very happy to hear that you like my drawings! I am also very happy to hear that you want to read my AU fanfic!

Complicated
Harry's moved on and it's killing you to keep watching.
A/N: here's a new little piece for you. I do apologise for not putting much out, pregnancy is really taking it out of me alongside working full-time still and redecorating. Anyway, enjoy this little angsty fic
WC: 1.3k
//
You shouldn’t be surprised, not one bit. And yet, you can’t help the slack in your jaw or the bewildered state in your eyes.
You blink. Once. Twice.
You’re sure you’ve heard him right but part of you wonders if you’ve mistaken the news.
Yes, he’s smitten with her. Completely and utterly head over heels, and this is Harry we’re talking about, someone who very much believes in love at first sight and living in the moment.
He’s just never done anything quite like this before. Sure, taking girls to meet his family after a week of dating, or buying them bank-breaking expensive jewellery before even getting out of the taking stage.
And there’s been a time or two when he’s very prematurely asked girls to move in with him in the first month or so of the relationship. But this? This takes it to a whole new level.
Harry is engaged.
You don’t ignore the aching pang in your heart when you remind yourself what he’s just announced. How can you? Nothing with Harry has ever come easy since you split a couple years back. Reason being that Harry rushed things too quickly and you wanted to take your time to grow and get to know each other.
Yet, hearing the news brings nothing but bile and jealousy to the brim of your throat. That should be you. Two years wouldn’t be a bad time to propose to someone, not after being with them for 4 months and friends for two more years prior.
You could be living together by now, adoring that no doubt blinding ring. But you’re not. Instead, you’re bitter. Bitter that some random girl he’s known for three months is engaged to the love of your life. Bitter that Harry can’t seem to take his time and wait. Bitter that Harry couldn’t wait for you to be ready.
“Wow.”
It comes out as more of a petty whisper than anything else. And Harry notices. The gleam in his eyes turns from proud to sheepish and you hate you’ve made him feel that way.
You never meant to take his happiness away like that. You clear your throat, blinking away the selfish things you’re feeling and mustering up the most convincing smile you possibly can.
“This is huge, H. Congratulations.”
His shoulders seem to sag in relief just a little, and he turns just enough to face another friend in the group. Your heart can’t stop the consistent pangs. It’s a horrible thing to watch, to understand.
Harry is so desperate for love, to find it and keep it, that he blinds himself from common sense and functionality.
It hurts to know that he hasn’t thought this through, or maybe it hurts more that there’s a possibility he has.
Has he?
Has he thought about what this means? That not only will she have his last name but also his fortune, too? That this will be the woman he spends the rest of his life with, has he realised that? Is that what he wants?
What about Christmas’ and New Years? How that’ll be split between his family and hers. And what about children? Will they have any? Have they spoken about that? About starting a family?
Your lungs feel as though they’re crushing in on themselves, or maybe like they’re drowning in tears you’re yet to cry. You can’t breathe, not the more you think. The more you assume.
Why does Harry want all of this with her? Why couldn’t he just wait a little longer to have it with you?
As he speaks with another, you make your quick escape to the kitchen, desperate for something stronger than the bottled water he offered when you arrived at his home. Though as you stare into the fridge, you can’t see a damn thing.
Your vision is completely blurred by salty tears that threaten to spill over, you can barely make out the shape of the eggs that sit in the door of the refrigerator no matter how hard you try to focus.
Everything hurts and you’re sure your knees are going to buckle at any given moment, and when you hear that voice - his voice, telling you there’s white wine in the bottom drawer, you crumble.
Spinning on your heels, you face him.
There’s an anger in your features, he can see it, sense it. A lump forms in Harry’s throat as he takes your state in. He’s not dumb, he knows it has everything to do with his recent news of engagement.
It’s selfish, he knows, but Harry was hoping you’d be okay with it. That you wouldn’t get upset and cry and ask all the questions he knows you’re about to. He doesn’t want to face it, but you don’t exactly give him a choice.
“Four months? Four months and you propose?”
Harry swallows but doesn’t say anything. He knows you need to speak, to get out what you need to say.
You take a step closer.
“Four months of knowing her and you propose?”
Silence.
It only makes your anger grow. You shake your head, arms flailing at your side.
“Do you know her? Or have you just jumped into this like every other time? Why are you so desperate to do these things so quickly, Harry? What if this doesn’t work like everyone before?”
Harry has tears in his eyes and you can’t figure out why. Are you upsetting him with the facts, or is it something else? Did he just not want to hear it?
“How do you do it, H?” your voice is much gentler this time, it catches him off guard.
Harry expects you to shout and scream, not huff and shrug in defeat after a few sentences, he knows you have so much more to say than that.
“Do what?” he finally croaks.
“How do you move on so fucking fast? How do you forget everything we had so quickly? How do you forget me?”
He waits a beat, staring at the tears that fall. Your skin is growing clammy, heart thumping against your ribcage.
Forget you? How could he ever?
“Why do you always have to rush into things? Why couldn’t you have just waited for me?”
Harry doesn’t know what to say, your final words knock him sideways.
“Wait for you?” he asks, brows pinched. “I thought we agreed we were better as friends?”
You scoff, head rolled back in disbelief.
“You wanted me to move in with you after three months, H. I wasn’t ready for that. Then, you wanted to get me a goddamn promise ring. I wasn’t ready for that, either. We were together for four months, Harry. I wanted to take my time with you, get to know you and enjoy the stages of what we were.”
The confession sends ringing through Harry’s ears. He remembers the conversation, where you told him things were moving too fast, that you thought you’d be better as friends.
He takes a deep breath.
“You couldn’t have waited another few months to ask me to move in with you? You couldn’t have waited a month or so after that to get me a promise ring? And a few more again to propose?”
That’s when it hits him. You’re not over Harry, you never were. And all the times since the breakup, that he’s introduced new girls and milestones, you’ve sat there wondering why the hell he couldn’t have just waited and had it all with you.
“Why couldn’t you wait for me, Harry? Why wasn’t I enough?”
He shakes his head, fast.
“You were never not enough, Y/N.”
It’s your turn to shake your head profusely and step back when he inches closer.
“If I was enough, you would’ve waited. And that ring would be on my finger, not some strangers.”

🌸Did you get enough love, my little dove 🌸shall we look at the moon, my little loon

He warned you before agreeing to train you that he would not go easy because you were a girl.
"If you're gonna learn, you learn like your brother."
You vigorously nod your head.
"No bitching and crying. Got it?"
Again you nod. You're happy even if Homelander is frowning next to Soldier Boy. He was scared for you. Maybe he should have let on to how painful it was to be punched by Soldier Boy so you would understand what you were asking for. His methods weren't like Vought's. They were more brutal. Left longer lasting bruises. Homelander wanted to protect you from that. But every time Soldier Boy took Homelander out to the woods bordering your backyard, you grew lonely and jealous.
You were still young enough to keep hoping for some kind of connection with your dad. Your brother wanted you to remain soft and innocent. For twelve years he'd molded you into the perfect little girl. At the time you didn't mind. He gave you the attention Soldier Boy didn't.
One way to get more time with him, you'd noticed, was training Homelander outside. That was what gave you the idea to beg your father to train you too. You had the same powers as Homelander, it was only fair. Vought's tutelage wasn't enough for you, a child of Soldier Boy.
Unfortunately, Homelander witnessed reality dawning on you just a few minutes in. The exact moment when your eyes go wide at Soldier Boy's fist appearing in front of you in a blink of an eye.
You went flying, smashing through trunks of trees.
"You stay fucking put." Soldier Boy snaps at Homelander who twitched to go to your aid, but remains frozen. "She wanted to learn. The first thing she needs to understand is pain. And it looks like Vought hasn't been supplying her with the proper amount if she can't even take a punch."
Homelander wanted to scorch him. Turn him to ash. Guttural hatred hemorrhaged in the pit of him.
Soldier Boy yells in the direction he'd sent you flying. "C'mon! Get up!"
This is what you had asked for.
With a heavy head, you fumble to stand. It hurt to breathe through your nose and taste blood in your mouth and something rolling around against your tongue.
You spat into your hand a small tooth. Thankfully it was just a baby tooth and not one of your permanents.
Red trickles into your vision from an open cut on your brow.
You hear Soldier Boy's voice ringing but can't make out the words.
Moving any part of your body hurt, but you will yourself to move past the broken down trees that you had barreled through. Everything tilts at a nauseating angle.
It was too much.
You drop to your knees and throw up.
At least you weren't crying.
Tumblr media
"Here, this will help." Homelander delicately places the ice pack on your face.
You're biting your bottom lip, sucking in your inhales to prevent yourself from sobbing. Your entire body hurt. And there was so much blood. Was this what Homelander had to put up with? You don't recall him ever showing up bleeding this much.
"Shit, I think you may have a concussion." He hisses after examining your eyes. Chewing on his bottom lip, he contemplates calling Vogelbaum. What if it was more than a concussion? You'd definitely require medical attention. And because you were a supe, you required special doctors.
You want to ask your brother how he survived doing those kinds of trainings four days a week. You're still reeling from the punch and unable to formulate any helpful words. The only thing you were capable of doing is closing your eyes as there's a brief break in the pain when the cold numbs your face.
"Don't fall asleep, okay? I'm going to call Dr. Vogelbaum."
Homelander dashes to the landline in the kitchen. Soldier Boy was picked up by Crimson Countess for Payback work. His truck was still parked in the driveway with its keys on a hook in the living room.
To be on the safe side, Vogelbaum insisted that he check you out himself. Homelander carefully got you into the truck and drove to Vogelbaum's estate.
"You say Ben did that?" Vogelbaum inquires once he's checked you over and settled you down on his couch.
Homelander nods. "She wanted to do the same training I was doing."
"If she was a normal person that punch would have killed her." He informs the young boy but it was something Homelander already knew. "Thank god she'll be fine. Her body is already healing at an incredible rate."
With fingers tented, he mulls over the scientist's words. "I can't protect her anymore."
Vogelbaum regards this sad boy, ignoring how his words send a pang in his chest. These kids never stood a chance. "Just remember she's made out of the same material you are. If you can survive Soldier Boy's classes, then so can your sister."
"I'm sorry I worried you." You tell Homelander later that night as both of you are preparing for bed. Already you were better than when he'd taken you to Vogelbaum's.
"I'm just happy you weren't seriously hurt." He smiles over at you but it falters when he spies the scab on your eyebrow. "Why did you want to train with dad? You have to be out of your mind to willingly do that."
Turning off the faucet knob, your other hand puts your toothbrush away. "I don't like being by myself here while you guys are out."
Homelander understands. He hated being without you.
You'd been looking at the budding tooth that was poking out of your gums. Where the baby tooth had been knocked out by Soldier Boy. Guess it didn't matter if he knocks out your adult teeth. They appeared to regenerate quickly.
You turn around to face your brother who still occupied the bathroom with you. He wears a basic light blue button up pajama set, blonde hair having been brushed back.
"I'm not quitting." You adamantly inform him when Homelander remains quiet.
Sadly, he sighs. "I know. There's no going back now."
You nod. "Yeah. Sorry I couldn't stay soft forever. I know you don't like me fighting."
That has him chuckling as he sits on the rim of the bath tub, watching as you now take your hairbrush to run through your long, dark hair. Dark hair that is so much like Soldier Boy's. Something all three of you have are the same blue eyes.
He reaches out to touch the falling tresses at your back. Soft against the pads of his fingers. "I don't like seeing you get hurt. I don't even like when Vought doctors give you shots. But you're growing up. Unfortunately I can't be your knight in shining armor."
You pout at that and place your brush back down on the counter. "Don't say that! You'll always be my knight! Now I'll just be able to protect you too."
"You want to protect me?" Funny. Homelander thought that he never needed anyone's help or protection.
Eyebrows raise. "Of course I do. I love you." You said it so earnestly that you weren't anticipating the glimmer of tears in his eyes. "Are you okay?"
Homelander swipes at his eyes. "M'fine." Taking a deep breath to control himself, Homelander musters up a small smile just for you. "Lets get you to bed."
Trailing after you, Homelander is still stuck in his own head. Replaying Soldier Boy's punch. Your concussion that only lasted two hours but was still frightening to him.
He also remembers the determination in your battered little body as you stood up. His little hawk, you managed to meet Soldier Boy's gaze before puking. You said you wouldn't cry and you didn't. You weren't just talk. While you would always be his perfect little sister, Homelander believed you when you said you wanted to protect him too. Knew that with time, you would be strong enough.

Never have I thought... Last Twilight turned out to be that good that I would like to write not prediction and not bl-related things, but about a thing we all know so damn well - family.
There're two types of comments that makes me sad:
about Day's mother not understanding Day and his love
about Day hating Night too much
I've already written about my parents getting divorced at the same age of mine as Day was. But what if I told you that I also have an older brother, stories of father cheating on mother and a mother always busy with work?..
Take a seat, dear readers, thank you for your attention, I'll try to make it easy to read and maybe put some pictures. I'll tell you what's real in this series and why my heart hurts for all of them!
Tumblr media
First of all let me tell you why Day's father hasn't become a problem and later Day even talked to him nicely. I mean REALLY NICELY. The answer is lack of feelings in Day. You can't hate person you barely able to love. You can't be hurt enough by someone you barely remember.
That man cheated on their mother, that man didn't provide his own two children even with food, but all of this exists as a story once told to Day. He loves the idea of being kinda loved by his biological parent, because we all want to be wanted and needed, but the father we've seen in that last two episodes is a stranger we're all getting to know with Day.
Let's leave this man living his life full of regrets and talk about Day's mother. She is THE MOTHER. As we know she discovered being cheated when Day was three (or maybe earlier?), left her propably hometown and spent another two years dealing with a need to divorce. Night was around ten or even less that time. She was maybe thirty. No food, no money and only three of them as she mentioned when giving Mhok a house tour.
Tumblr media
And Day's mother actually survived and even succeed. I like the actress chosen for this role. She's beautiful. She looks gorgeous every time we see her. She also must be smart and charismatic to be a famous chef. And still there're only three of them. After around fifteen years (or even more) this absolutely stunning woman is still a single mother of two.
This woman made a fortress that supposed to keep safe from any heartbreak. And this fortress has it's rules.
Have you heard anything about Night's girlfriends? He's already mature enough to have a girlfriend or even a wife. And do you understand now why I think that the fear in Day's eyes everytime Mhok flirts with him at home probably has very little with a sexual orientation?..
Tumblr media
The whole family has TRUST ISSUES. Their mother is their leader of course.
So you say that the mother with her trust issues (and social status and financial stability) should understand that Mhok loves her son. Okay, Mhok for her:
Young man, something around the age of her older son. Spent a year in prison. Has no relatives. Is an employee in her house. Didn't talk to him much.
Now tell this woman she needs to be happy her younger blind son is dating Mhok. And wants to be with him. Live together, have his own family. After all these tough years when there're only three of them and the reason for that was her being cheated by someone she loved. Tell her to trust in love. Tell her she needs to trust Mhok.
You can tell this woman to get therapy and then talk to her son(s) and you will be absolutely right. However people usually don't act right when dealing with their strongest emotions and I can't imagine this woman being less than heartbroken in the next episode.
Tumblr media
Also need to say that being a single mother of two sounds like a choice between spending time with children and spending time making money for these children. And it's true. I also blamed my mother for not being in my life when dealing with different sh*t.
I was being bullied for a year and all my mother did was making me to change school after the year ended. She never been there when I was coming home with eyes full of tears. Oh, and before that year I even had an accidental (not car accident) eye trauma. Yeah, really, I'm not lying. My eye never recovered fully and I spent a week with a vision similar to Day's one. But it's okay now. I was around twelve back then.
So what about Night? Don't you think Day hates him too much? It's not a big deal to use Night to get to Songkhla and just not speak to him there at all, right? Why being so dramatic?
Tumblr media
I remember a couple years ago my older brother was asked by my mother to help me with some renovations in the apartment I live in. That night we argued that hard that I left my only home in the whole big city and refused to come back until he left it. It was around 5AM. I spent that night in a park.
So if you think Day can't be mad at Night after that car accident without more valid reason, you need to ask yourself what Day felt for Night before the accident. And the simplified answer is love.
It's only the closest ones that can hurt you the most.
It would be really nice to know more about Day and Night's childhood, teen years. I'm sure mother always told them they need to be together and help each other and be kind to each other. The boys for sure was annoyed, but they care of each other so damn much. The goldfish "Little Day" is still alive after all.
Tumblr media
After such a betrayal from a man mother can only trust her sons she raised herself. She taught them to trust her, to trust each other. That's why Night used to be the main caregiver for Day. He was the only person the mother could trust as much as she trusts herself.
Meanwhile Day learned that the only way to have some mother's time is to be the better son. Maybe his mother can't be with him regularly, but she wil definitely come to see him playing, right? Day and Night managed to compete for mother's time and attention without even realizing it.
I actually tend to tell everyone that my mother loves my brother more, even though I try to be less troublesome and more mature. I even complained to my friends about the need to take care of my older brother like he's the younger one.
I feel something like grief looking at Day's family. Their relationships and their personalities are like an aftershock of something happened years ago. And maybe it's not even a divorce.
Time actually heals. For Day and Mhok and Day's mother's relationship this time will start the moment she will be told about them. For Day and Night's relationship this time will start the moment Day get a stable zero vision and start learning to live in a new reality. I also hope we won't get eye donation from father/brother/mother/Mhok or I won't trust screenwriters ever again.
The family needs to see each other. And for that they actually don't need eyes.
Tumblr media
If you're reading this you're my hero!
Thank you so much for reading this brainrot. I questioned myself whether all of this needs to be written, but decided to spit my thoughts out. Sometimes these writings help to analyse not only the characters, but myself. That's good.
