you don't even try to figure out what's on ricky's mind sometimes. he would start talking about some random subject, then starts talking about another, then another... he himself would be distracted with his own words when he's talking to you that he would need to get quiet, blink a few times and let out a "what?" before laughing and trying to focus again. he can be easily distracted but he is also really observant, especially around you. one day he started talking about all the little habits you have that he finds endearing and you realised that you weren't even aware that you had half of these.

one thing about gyuvin is that he's always going to make fun of people. and you being his partner gets the WORST treatment. he was on his phone when he suddenly laughs, shoving it in your face. you were horrified when you saw the ugliest picture of you sleeping and started begging him to delete it. he continues laughing as you try to snatch the device out of his hands but, again, he was too tall. without even you knowing, tears roll down your cheeks and the expression on gyuvin's face completely changes. he takes you in his arms, stroking you back and apologising over and over again. later in the evening, you two had a deep conversation and he asks to set boundaries because he never wants to hurt you ever again. (he won't stop making fun of you though, as far as you allow him <3)

After a long week of seemingly never-ending work, I am finally able to make my way to my boyfriend's house. He's who I always run to when I have a rough day, so after the treacherous week I had, he's exactly what I need. Since we're both free this weekend, he invited me over for a little relaxing slumber party.
We both just finished school, and since summer started, we have been so busy with working and trying to stack money before moving forward with our careers. Saying that, the last couple of months have been exhausting, neither of us really having a well-deserved and much needed break. So, when he texted me and told me to come over, and that he's got snacks and movies for us, I was beyond ecstatic.
Within ten minutes of leaving my house, I'm pulling up to his. I park beside their minivan and grab my overnight bag, quickly making my way through the back, towards the backdoor. Before I can even open it, it's opened for me, revealing Matthew.
"Hi, princess." He smiles, grabbing my hand and pulling me into him for a kiss.
"Hey, baby." I smile, planting another sweet kiss on his lips.
"Ugh." He groans, pulling me into his arms, squeezing me. "I've missed you."
"I know." I whine, enjoying his warm embrace. "Everything's been so chaotic. I was thrilled when I got your text."
He grabs my bag and ushers me upstairs, following close behind me. "Of course. I knew we both have this weekend off and I just want to spend it with you."
Once we get to the kitchen, I interlock our hands and place my head on his shoulder. He's always been the best boyfriend, and I'm so thankful for him. He wraps his arm around my shoulder, with our hands still connected, and walks us to his bedroom. There, on the bed, are all of our favorite snacks and drinks.
I turn to him with a huge grin, "You're seriously the best. What would I do without you?"
"Simply cease to exist." He jokes, earning a playful shove from me.
We both giggle, me skipping to the bed while he sets my bag aside and gets his TV ready to play a movie. I gather all the snacks up and push them aside, making room for both of us to cuddle.
"Are you hungry?" He asks, joining me on the bed.
I shrug, "Eh, not really. But if you are, we can eat something real quick."
"No, I'm all good. I was just making sure." He replies, getting under the covers with me.
He lies on his back, me curled up at his side with one of my thighs wrapped around him. I place my head on his chest, and watch him flicker through Netflix, looking for a movie to watch. I wrap my arms around his neck and hike my leg up higher, desperate to be as close as possible. Time like these, I just want to live in his skin.
"I love you, Matty." I whisper against his cheek, the side of my face now against his.

It was a soft, but meaningful, kiss. His lips always move so tenderly against mine, both of us savoring the feeling it never fails to bring. We pull away, cheeky smiles adorning both of our mouths, before going back in. Our lips blend perfectly, moving together in a delicate and loving manner. My hands tangle in his hair, massaging his scalp the way I know he loves.

The reason why both parties agreed to it is because while you were on maternity leave, someone found out you worked at the hospital and told the world. People started coming to (and sneaking in) the hospital just to snap a photo or a short video of you. Some even harrassed you. It got so bad that the safety of the staff, patients, and actual visitors came to the surface.
When you told Kylian about this, he was furious. He took it to his social media and posted a statement saying that he was disappointed with his "fans" behavior. Kylian also said that he would be taking the threats and harassment towards you to court. "I do not take the safety of myself or my family members lightly. All threats and harassment made towards my wife maliciously or jokingly, will be investigated by my legal team."
You cried for days after you left your job. You truly loved it and the kids there. Kylian even asked to take a day off practice to make sure you were okay. Since then, you have been distracting yourself by being a stay-at-home mom. You loved it. You love being able to take care of your child 24/7. In fact, you took pride in it. When Matthew was old enough, you and Kylian enrolled him in daycare. It would be good for him to socialize with babies his age and people who are not you or Kylian. You hated being home alone with no husband or kid to dote on. It was just you and that big ass house.
You brought this to Kylian and you both came up with a solution. Fayza, your mother-in-law, is working on a project for Inspired by KM and she could use your help. You immediately accepted Kylian's proposal and the next week, you were working alongside your mother-in-law. Your first day was pretty easy, just reviewing the project itself and adding your little details. The following days were more hands-on work. You even had to do a small interview with Fayza about the project.
To say that you were nervous was an understatement. You are grateful that Fayze was there to take the lead when you stumbled here and there. While in Bondy, you met the kids there and did so many fun activities with them. From cooking and baking to playing a game of football with them. At that time, the targeted demographic did not know that you were Kylian's wife, but now, people know that Kylian's wife is supporting her husband through his organization.
Now, you are confident when doing your interviews. You added a lot of value to the organization that you ended up being named "director". A position that sits just under Kylian. You even have your own secretary! French news media went wild about how much of a power couple the two of you are. When you were given the position of director, Kylian threw a huge party to celebrate. The more projects you push out in Inspired by KM, the more your face gets recognized. You transferred the knowledge you gathered while working at the hospital and inserted it into Kylian's organization.
You and your family traveled to France a few days ago because you and Kylian have to do an interview there to talk about the latest project of Inspired by KM. Kylian's parents will be at the family home so they can watch their almost one-year-old grandson.
The two of you agreed to stick to a neutral-colored wardrobe. Kylian is wearing a white button-down and black slacks with some loafers and as always, donning a HUBLOT watch. You chose to wear something a little more dressy. A back shirt and blazer with a pair of beige, velvet pants and nude heels. You tied your hair in a low bun and are wearing an Olivia Burton watch Kylian got you for your first anniversary. Quite the power couple look indeed.

"Mrs. Mbappe, it's well known that you joined your husband's organization because you lost your job at a Spanish hospital. How was that like for you?"
Ah, a question you have heard and answered a dozen times before.
"It was hard. I loved my job but the board and I came to a mutual understanding and agreement. Both parties agreed that it was no longer about whether or not I should keep my job, but it was about the safety of the people who worked and were administered there."
The interviewer nods and writes down a couple of notes. He then asks Kylian how he felt about the situation. Kylian just said that he was angry for you and did what he could to protect you. He calls the incident a blessing in disguise because you have done so much for his organization, and it has made the two of you closer as a couple.
"You gave birth in the fall of last year, correct? Has motherhood clashed with your duties for Inspired by KM?"
"No, it hasn't. I'm thankful for my husband's resources that allow me to work with Inspired by KM. Motherhood has made me a more nurturing woman which helps with my job at KM."
Again, he nods and writes down some notes. The interview so far is a bit redundant. His questions have been questions you have answered before, just worded differently. It does not help that the interview is a live one (with a live audience), so you cannot make any signs that show your disinterest.
"So, the recent project Inspired by KM was actually partnered with UNICEF. Can you tell me how that happened, Mrs. Mbappe?"
Finally! A question about the project that was recently launched.
"Certainly! I have always admired the work that UNICEF does and our missions align. One is just more global than the other. I shared my desire to expand KM's reach to children all over the world with my husband and our board at KM. Everyone came to an agreement and I wrote a proposal partnership to the general director of UNICEF."
"Why did you agree to it Kylian? Other than it being because your wife wanted to."
"When my love first brought the idea up, it was just the two of us. She had already come up with the project's structure and it was all very detailed. It wasn't just something she came up with on a whim. My wife did her research because she truly wished to make the project a reality. She was very passionate. She was still passionate when she proposed the idea during a board meeting. My wife supports me by cheering for me in the stands when I'm playing, and she supports me by working for my organization. I agreed because I want to support her."
The audience watching clap for Kylian's response. They even hollar when you kiss Kylian's cheek in appreciation. You are so glad that you are wearing makeup that hides your blushing face (besides the actual blush used).
"I want to bring attention to this projection screen here." The interviewer motions to the object. The projection turns on and a video pops up. The play button is clicked and when the first frame comes on, you hide your face into Kylian's shoulder in embarrassment. He too hides his face in your hair in embarrassment.
What on earth is being displayed to make you and Kylian want to hide from the world? It is a video of you and Kylian carelessly dancing in the office building. To destress the two of you, Kylian put on some music and coerced you to dance with him. Neither of you realized that Wilfried recorded the moment.
In the video, neither of you cares to observe your surroundings. Heck, one part of the video shows Kylian trying to twerk to the beat of the music. The room fills with laughter and you and Kylian are trying your best to shrink yourselves. Oh God! This entire interview is being broadcast! - Live!
Thankfully, the video stops at one minute and the torture is over. Takes a couple of seconds for the laughter to die down which does not help with your embarrassment. You are pretty sure your blushing face is showing through your makeup, but you can only know when the videos and photos of today come out. You lift your head off of Kylian's shoulder and fan your face. Kylian is busy wiping the tears of laughter and pain away from the corner of his eye.
"Well, it seems like the two of you do a great job at supporting each other." The interviewer coughs out. "In all seriousness, it's great to see two busy people such as yourselves enjoying the small moments in life. It's relatable and I believe it brings a positive message to people that they should have fun when they can."
Your husband speaks up. "I agree. It's like with football. I have to be serious when I'm on the pitch but when I'm off, I can have some fun and enjoy life. Enjoy the life I have with my wife." Kylian reaches over and holds your hand in a tight grip. He brings the back of your hand to his mouth and plants a firm kiss on it. The star athlete is never big on PDA. He always finds a way to hold onto you though. It could be hand holding or putting his hand on your waist or the small of your back. The most PDA Kylian will do is a kiss on your head or a small peck on the lips.
For the remainder of the interview, Kylian never let go of your hand. The two of you had to stay an hour or two after the interview to do some fan service (mainly Kylian). Many of his fans came up to you and asked how Matthew was doing. It warms your heart to know that there are people who you do not know, who care about your small family. You tell them how Matthew is a wiggle worm and how he loves to eat squash. He hates tomatoes and is unsure about cucumbers. Bread and cheese though, Matthew would live off of it if he could (French genes amirte).
A little far from you, you think you hear someone asking Kylian if he can teach them how to twerk. Your husband persistently declines the request that was clearly made to poke fun at him. Gosh, that video is going to haunt him forever, huh? Mentally, Kylian sarcastically thanks his father. The day was eventful for the two of you. Over the course of a few months, you have learned how to see the blessings in the curse. You found a way to help children not just in your community, but to the children spread across the globe.

synopsis ⇢ to support the boy you loved, you had to let him go. (part 2)
your relationship with matthew had always been healthy.
there was nothing about him that could make it any less. he was the perfect one for you in a multitude of ways. he knew everything there was about you–your needs and your ambitions–so he was always accommodating to them. in a similar way, you wanted to accommodate his own ambitions, which was where you had to make the most difficult decision.
you had always known about matthew’s ambition of dance. after all, it was the reason you two met, through the dance studio matthew frequented. you two had hit it off perfectly, giving each other compliments and spending time with each other until it became something more.
though your love for dance had faded as you began to focus more on your studies, you knew matthew’s love for it was stronger than ever. he would tell you stories about the latest choreography he learned, attempting to teach it back to you (to which you were luckily able to mimic without too many casualties).
you never knew if this passion was something he wanted to actually pursue in the future or just a hobby he liked to keep up with, but you always swore to support him no matter his decision. however, you didn’t anticipate this support being bittersweet.
“you think i could be a kpop idol?” he asked one day when the two of you were in his bed, both doing your own things.
your eyebrows raised, averting your attention from the cooking video you were watching to see what caused such a question from matthew. seeing a video of idols performing energetically on stage, you weren’t surprised.
recently, you noticed how he became more invested in the genre, watching more videos of performances than he ever had. you couldn’t blame him. you too enjoyed seeing how the groups mingled and had fun from time to time.
“you definitely have skills and talent for it,” you answered as you went back to scrolling on your own device, “you also have the looks for it. i bet you’d have people folding left and right for you.”
“well that’s too bad for them because i already have the most wonderful person right here for me.”
that was only the start of a whole cascade of events. as weeks passed, the topic of idol trainees came up more often, often accompanied with how your boyfriend imagined that kind of life to be, one performing on stage for fans who looked forward to supporting their favorite groups. every time you saw how his eyes glistened as he talked about the topic, you knew his ambition had grown to more than just a hobby. it was something he wanted to seriously pursue.
as you promised to yourself, you wanted to support him in this. after countless talks about it without any plan for the future, you finally brought it upon yourself to push him towards his dream.
“i think you should do it.”
matthew paused yet another one of his kpop tangents, this time about the latest comeback of his favorite group and how he would have loved to perform like them. he looked at you wide-eyed, as if you had said something so absurd.
“what?”
“your idol dream. i think you should look into training to be an idol,” you clarified, realizing your previous statement might have been a little vague.
“what are you talking about? i could never do that kind of thing,” he tried to brush the topic off nonchalantly.
you wouldn’t let him avoid it this time. “matthew, you and i both know you could. you are so talented, and i want you to look towards that as an option if it’s something you want.”
still, he laughed it off, treating the conversation just like one of the other random ones you two had in the background. “maybe. i’ll think about it. let’s talk about something else now.”
even though he talked so seriously about that dream he had, you noticed he never took the initiative to actually do that. there was no sign of him trying to get into auditions. if he did, you would be the first one he told. he was avoiding it entirely, which was unlike him. he was someone who always wanted to take the chances he could get. you wanted to know why he was so hesitant, so you could continue to support him.
“why haven’t you started looking into companies yet?” you asked over his shoulder, earning a bump to the chin due to startle.
“oh, never do that again,” he cautioned as he turned around, seeing how you were rubbing your chin, “are you okay?”
you gave a nod before continuing to pester for answers. “well, why haven’t you looked into it yet?”
“how do you know if i hadn’t yet?”
you rolled your eyes. “matthew, you and i both know i would be the first one you told if you auditioned, let alone got accepted into a company. now spill.”
“i’m having second doubts about all of it. i don’t know if that kind of life really is for me. i think staying here in canada and going to school is much more suitable for me.”
you could see right through his lie.
“mon chéri, you know i don’t like it when you lie to me. i want to know the truth, so i can support you throughout your dream.”
his shoulders relaxed at the endearing term. “that’s just it. you can’t support me through this. i know you can’t.”
“what?”
“i don’t think i could ever do that, train for so long without knowing if i could really debut. what if i waste so many years in a trainee dungeon just to be scrapped and forgotten. what’s the point of it then? why should i even do that?”
“that won’t happen to you,” you reassured, “if companies can see how talented you are, they will never want let you get away. you are so talented. i know you can make it.”
“you don’t understand. it’s not just that. if it was just waiting for my dream, i could do that. that’s nothing compared to the other thing.”
“other thing?”
he looked as white as a ghost, as if he had said something he wasn’t supposed to say. running his hand through his hair, it was clear there was some sort of distress plaguing his mind.
“just ugh–”
you took his hands into your own, trying to alleviate him of whatever stress was bringing him down, so he could tell you what was bothering him.
“i don’t want to be away from everyone,” he admitted.
that was the thing bothering him so much? being away from his loved ones?
“that’s it?” you asked as if it was a simple matter, “matthew, you can always talk with your mom, sister, friends. i’m sure they would want you to do these things too!”
matthew shook his head. it seemed you weren’t understanding the situation correctly. “i don’t want to leave you!”
you stood there after his exclamation, not knowing what more to say. of course that was what it was. how could you forget yourself, the one who promised to support your boyfriend no matter the decision he made. there was no one he would miss more than you if he went away.
“i’m…the one holding you back from your dream?”
he nodded but was quick to add clarification. “and that’s fine. i don’t care about that dream if it means i can stay with you. it’s stupid anyway. i never want to leave you, and i would choose you over it any day. don’t think too much about it.”
even though he told you not to, it was hard to not ponder more about the situation. you, the one who wanted nothing more than to see matthew succeed in the one thing he wanted in life, were the one holding him back. you didn’t know how you should have felt about it.
that was when the decision hit you, the one you didn’t want to make but would if it were for matthew’s sake.
“so you don’t want to go because you’d be leaving me?” you asked. to which, he nodded. “then what if i left you before you could leave me?���
“what?”
“if i left you, would you consider your dream again? would you try to be an idol trainee? try to debut?”
“my love, stop that. i would not. i would be too busy missing you now to even try to audition for a stupid company,” he pleaded, his hands now turning to grip your own.
“matthew, this is your chance! i don’t want to hold you back! i don’t want to be the reason you let this chance slip away. you’re young. you’re talented. you’re a wonderful person with a big dream, too big of a dream to be wasting it because of someone–”
“but you’re not just someone!”
his voice raised, something he never did in your relationship. he was being serious. “don’t water yourself down as just someone! you are more than that to me. you mean more to me than that silly dream. i don’t even know if i’ll make it, but i know i will always love you. i don’t want to abandon what i know for sure for something i’m uncertain of. it’s just not rational!”
though his words were convincing, you had already committed to this. you wanted to be supportive of him like he had been of all your crazy antics. this was his future. you didn’t want to interfere with this.
“but…wouldn’t you do the same for me?”
“huh?”
“if i had gotten an opportunity to travel far away for a program of the thing i was most passionate about, what would you tell me?” you further explained.
“i would tell you to take that opportunity,” he responded with no further hesitation. though, he quickly got your point and seemed to regret answering it so quickly.
“exactly. don’t you see where i’m going? i want this for you because i love you. i want to see you happy doing the things that you love. i don’t want to be the one holding you back when you could be doing great things out there in the industry. i love you matthew. i really do. that’s why i am willing to let you go.”
it was hard for you to even face him after a bold statement. you were already going to cry thinking about him being gone, but now, there was more fuel to the flame. you didn’t need to make it worse by seeing his reaction.
though, it was hard when you had a boyfriend who always had strong eye contact.
“please look at me. i want you to say it to my face to know you mean it. i don’t want you hurting because of this.”
you would hurt regardless, but it was something you needed to deal with. this was the opportunity matthew needed, and you weren’t going to keep him from it. you needed to be strong, both for yourself and for him.
sucking in your breath, you moved your eyes up from your feet, looking at him straight in the eyes, into the eyes you loved so much.
“because i love you, i want you to take this chance to become an idol. because i love you, i’m willing to let you go for this.”
you held back the tears that threatened to spill. you didn’t necessarily want to, but you had to. this was his dream, his future, his happiness. you could never keep him from the things that made him happy, even if he claimed you were the one that made him the happiest. he deserved to be happy in more ways than one, and this was his time to explore that happiness.
matthew let out a defeated sigh, squeezing your hands tighter. “well, then i’ll try.”
his agreement made you momentarily forget about the sorrow you’d face if he made it through. your eyes lit up, and a smile fell on your face.
“if i get in, i’ll go to south korea and become a trainee. if not, i’ll stay here and grow old with you,” he added, “i’ll try my best though. don’t worry.”
it was both relieving and stressful for you to hear those words. on one end, matthew was listening to you, following his dreams. on the other hand, this may be one of the last moments you ever had with your boyfriend.
as the weeks went by, matthew trained hard for his audition, not having much time to spend between the two of you. it was good for both of you. he needed to focus on working towards the greatest audition of his life, and you needed as much time without him to prepare for the years to come.
it was in these moments you felt the least supportive. while you did want the best for him, there was still a part of you that hoped he wouldn’t pass the audition, so he could continue being your seok matthew, and only yours.
you didn’t know how you would feel if you knew so many other people were fawning over your boyfriend. well, if he did go on that journey, you guessed he wouldn’t really be your boyfriend anymore. that was the other reason you really hoped he wouldn’t pass.
still, most of you wanted him to chase his dreams. you wished the best for him each passing day, waiting for the results of his audition. you didn’t know how long the process took, so you were anticipating some kind of notification from him.
and eventually, you got it.

you stared at the text, not knowing how to respond to it. you were overjoyed that he was one step closer to his dream, but also heartbroken to know this was how your first love would end.

and so you did. you sat up from your bed in the middle of the night, feet dangling off your bed, as your eyes anxiously waited for what matthew had to say. even before he said anything, your eyes had formed teardrops. and they only poured out faster after reading everything matthew had to say.
mon chéri ♡ : thank you so much for these past years. i have enjoyed every single moment of our relationship, and you made me happier than i could ever be. you always supported me in more ways than you thought, so please give yourself more credit than this hard decision you had to make.
mon chéri ♡ : i’m sure you don’t want me to leave either, but you’ve continued to show strength throughout this because you care about me. i care about you too, and i want you to know that i’ll always be with you, even if not physically. maybe we won’t be together anymore, but to me, we will always be something special because of everything you did for me.
mon chéri ♡ : i truly think we’re destined for each other, so i hope we can cross paths again in the future. hopefully, by then, you’ll be doing what you love and i’ll be an idol. until then, just know i love you and will always be cheering you on like i know you’ll be cheering me on. thank you so much my love.

if you turned into a worm, how would each incubus take care of you?
James would read books and research online to make sure he cares for you properly. He doesn’t want to hurt you. He places you in his flower garden so you lay in the warm, wet soil.
Erik pats your head and might give you a little kiss. He’s not able to see your flustered expression, but he knows you love his affection. He’ll gently place you on his piano so you can feel the vibrations as he plays. He’ll try to make you little worm clothes too!
Sam is extremely confused on how you turned into a worm. He asks James to help turn you back, but time passes and he accepts your wormy fate. He doesn’t want to leave your side, a bit worried that you’ll get eaten or stepped on, so he puts you on his shoulder. He tells you about how annoying Matthew is being and lets you join in on his tai chi.
Matthew gushes over how you’re the cutest worm! You may not be able to play video games or cook with him anymore, but he’ll put you in his pocket so you can still be involved in your favorite hobbies.
Damien understands the isolation you feel being turned into a worm. He places you in a terrarium next to his bed, gives you veggies throughout the day, and reads you stories every night.

eddie headcannons for living in present day
a few headcannons i thought of for being eddie's partner in the present day! these are my own thoughts, if you think of any others feel free to add them to the comments!
these are writted with eddie having a femme partner, but no pronouns are used so anyone can enjoy!
content warnings: lots of fluff, no smut, semi implied though(?), occasional use of y/n
would 100% play world of warcraft, complains about how expensive it is but still never lets his subscription run out every month
would drag you into every warhammer store looking for figurines for d&d
IS a reddit user but purely for d&d map inspiration and r/babygoats
still has the exact same music taste and says “back in my day we listened to-"
also claims to hate nu metal but sneaks in an occasional deftones song
hairstyle would be really similar but probably more of a long wolf cut to modernise it
loves the cinema for new movies but pirates everything else
corroded coffin is more successful than it was in the 80s, but they’re still not ‘famous’
makes youtube videos with tutorials on how to play songs on guitar and gets 10 views per video. he still enjoys it anyway
still chooses to pick you wildflowers instead of grocery store ones because he thinks their more special (even if they’re from rich peoples lawns)
still deals but only to a select few and close friends
goes to as many metal shows as he can; whether it’s for his favourite band or an up and comer he’s never heard of
he has just 3 spotify playlists, 1 is metal and the other is more chilled out rock. the third is music he knows you likes that he’s sure to put on when you’re over (also curses out the spotify adverts but refuses to pay for it)
D&D is still one of his favourite hobbies of course. he grew up playing in the only D&D shop near hawkins called ‘the forge’ his charisma made him great friends amongst the other players there and soon enough after her had a few campaigns under his belt, it was his turn to DM
is honestly a bit of a fussy eater, but anything you order or make that he hasn’t tried yet he always asks to try and realises he likes a lot more than he thought
would have a lot more tattoos and would volunteer as a practice sheet for tattoo apprentice friends
uses incense in his room, he says it’s to mask the weed smell but you’d noticed him deeply sniffing his favourite scents in the store
likes his cheap cologne, and loves it when he smells it on you the next morning
facetiming you when he sees a cool rock/tree/dog/straycat/funny looking cloud, mainly to see your face scrunch up into a laugh at the ridiculous thing he’s called you for
uses the same password for everything
has maybe 4 additional apps on his phone to the default ones. his favourite would be locket widget so you “have to see my face no matter where you look.”
does have social media but definitely posts annually and it’s either you, corroded coffin or some swanky new dice
only follows you and matthew mercer on social media too
likes natures documentaries and sniffles a lot when the buffalo gets eaten by lions, and when the lions DONT get any buffalo to eat
loves getting you small inexpensive gifts, your favourite chocolate or drink, a little trinket for your bedside table, mostly cards with two animals in love on it
laying inbetween his legs with your back against his chest as he teaches you how to roll his cigarettes, they were terrible of course but he loved watching your brows furrowed in concerntration smacking his hand away any time he tried to help
also! would use menthol filters for his cigarettes ever since you mentioned how much you love the minty tobacco taste left on his lips, “doubles up as a breath mint too!” eddie would wink at you.
he wasn’t very good at cooking but he loved helping you and doesn’t want you to feel pressured to cook for him. takes any chance he can to make you food he knows how to make, usually toast and fruit juice in bed served with a kiss
LOVES makeup shopping with you, no matter your style of makeup alternative or not, he’s so intrigued about the different kinds and always wants to treat you. “$10 for a skinny crayon? that’s daylight robbery!”. he still begged you later that day to turn him into gene simmons
still got weird stares out in public even in our time but he thrived whenever you visited bigger cities with more diversity
playing any kind of multiplayer game together. left 4 dead 2, borderlands, halo, divinity 2; eddie didn’t care what it was as long as he could spend the time with you (as long as you promised not to tell people he married harvey playing stardew valley)
also! screaming and swearing and crying of laughter playing overcooked, resulting in lots of playful fights and kisses
watching the whole lord of the rings trilogy extended cut in one session, “ed’s it’s NINE hours, you said it was only 3 films!” you huffed looking at the box set his uncle had bought him years ago. “nine hours that will change the rest of your life y/n.” he smiled dramatically inserting the dvd. he was right of course 9 hours later there you were gripping eddies hand so hard as tears burned into the corners of your eyes. eddie spent the last 9 hours glancing between the action of the movie darting back to your face to enjoy your reaction, ‘my friends, you bow to no-one’ aaragon announced on the tv, you clenched your eyes shut as tears flooded down your cheeks and a quiet sob escaped your lips. eddie whipped his head to yours concern written all over his face, cupping your cheep with his large ringed hand. “everyone bowed for THEM, the HOBBITS eddie!” you choked as the soft violin music playinf already felt nostalgic. eddie pulled you close, nose bumping against yours and wipes away your tears with his thumb and pressing kisses to your reddened cheeks. “i told you doll, life changing” he sighed, knowing full well he could shed a tear at how involved with his favourite series you were.
if you were ever doing anything stood up eddie would always come up behind you and snake his arms around your waist and give your butt a small squeeze with both of his hands, you’d squeak in surprise every time before leaning back into eddie as he held you. you walked out of yours and eddies room one morning to see him facing away from you at the kitchen counter wearing nothing butt black boxer shorts as he poured some juice. you sneaked as best you could on your creaky floorboards before reaching each hand out onto eddies butt and give it a big squeeze. he let out a high pitch ‘EEEHH’ as you did spilling some apple juice onto the counter before looking out you with a false scowl. “only i get to do that.” he huffed pretending he didn’t enjoy it whilst he pale cheeks simultaneously tinted a shade of pink.
this! evolved into giving each other a light smack on the butt whenever you walked past each other, your hands lingered a little longer on him when he wore his jeans because wow, did he look good in them and vice versa when you wore… well pretty much anything -more often than not this leading to more heavy petting-
pda kinda guy, but more so handholding, having an arm over your shoulder, rubbing his hands up and down yours arms aimlessly, kissing you on the cheek and dramatically kissing your knuckles and bowing, making your cheeks flare up
eddie giving you driving lessons even though he’s not a great driver himself
if people don't hate this i might make a part 2 if i come up with more ideas + plus any that others suggest

RWRB Deleted Scenes: The Extend Paris Café Scene
The current café scene works in the movie, and damn it’s cute (I can never listen to “He is” without laughing) but as a scene, it has significantly less of a feeling of conclusion compared to other scenes. It works as it is, but it can also easily continue
Again we have no idea about this scene and we wouldn’t even know that there’s more if it weren’t for Matthew posting this photo
Observation and comparison: in the scene in the movie, they just have two cups of coffee on their table; in the photo, they have glasses of I think red wine (which, by the way, is in the book) and they each have a meal. Henry/Nick’s shaking hands with an older lady who looks like the cook, but in the photo they’re clearly discussing the scene and not in character: Nick’s looking at Matthew. So this is strictly a behind the scene photo unlike a “shooting” photo, such as the kissing tree photo Matthew posted, where the boys were kissing so they were clearly shooting already
This was apparently their first day of shooting and I want to scream at how amazing their chemistry is
Then there’s this photo that I presume they took just after shooting outside of the café
According to Matthew, the red mark on the corner of Henry/Nick’s forehead is not a bruise but a lipstick mark
Taylor/Alex is probably not wearing lipstick or at least not this shade of red, and given the point in their relationship it also doesn’t make sense for Alex to leave a mark somewhere so visible and for Henry to allow it
I read this speculation/theory on Weibo (yes I check the fandom over there out occasionally, no I don’t have the link, the Weibo system is complicated and I can’t be bothered to learn it) where they suspected that the old lady recognized Henry and kissed him on the forehead as a sign of respect or adoration or something, which might echo Henry talking about everyone recognizing him in the next scene
I didn’t really agree because, what the hell, straight-up kissing the prince like that has got to be against either etiquette or protocols, but then a few days later I saw a video of the actual Prince William visiting a café during one of his projects, and an ex-football star who was there and greeted him and kissed him on the cheek, so… eh I guess that question’s out of the way
I also questioned why would a cook in Paris show such affection to Henry, the prince of the UK, but then I think this could be explained by Henry’s popularity in universe. He is after all, “the Prince of England’s Hearts”, which isn’t something explored in the book: in the movie, Henry isn’t only a prince, he’s also a popular public figure in general. This point was not established in the book. So maybe it’s that.
But also, it’s possible that Henry knows this café and the owner, and they’re familiar, hence the affection? That would go against the point of “strangers knowing his name” but social logic wise seems to make more sense

Where does this scene end? I’m guessing, and this is just me guessing with barely any evidence to support myself: their dishes are served -> whatever happens with the cook -> maybe Alex and Henry talk about what just happened –> they start eating -> cut to walk in the garden
This is all speculation, we literally have no context for the scene and everything I’ve just written is quite possible over-analysing tiny clues, but we won’t know anything until PRIME RELEASES THE DAMN FULL PARIS SCENE

[Backstory]
• Matthew was a very good person in his early life. He was considered to be the sweetest, kindest, and most compassionate young man anyone has ever met, but that was before he moved to Spring Valley, Arkansas, which is one of the worst towns in America. There he became a target of bullying and prejudice to the point where he would get badly assaulted, harassed, and abused every day at school or in town for being both autistic and pansexual, but then one day he finally snapped and started killing not only his tormentors, but those he deemed "Guilty". From October 31st, 2021, to May 13th, 2022, he killed, butchered, tortured, and mutilated a total of 200 people and was later arrested and sentenced to "Spring Valley Sanatorium," where he would spend the rest of his life, but that was until a horrific fire happened in August, which killed half of the patients and staff, including Matthew. When he manifested in Hell, he arrived in the "Doomsday District" of Pentagram City where he stayed in for about a year till he saw a news report about a place called "The Happy Hotel" for those seeking redemption, but that wouldn't be the only thing he would find there, as it'll also be where he will start a new life and, possibly, a new family.

Part Two: What dating them is like
FLORA
Flora consistently keeps the same schedule and is as lost as you for what to do on dates. You spend most of your time together at the dig site, where Flora shares her knowledge. You progress to picnics in the mountains, where you joked about snipe hunting. Feeling guilty about Flora’s enthusiasm, you offered an actual activity. You were shocked when Flora agreed to go noodling with you at the turtle pond. She caught on quickly, catching larger catfish than you. Your dates soon involved cooking together as you teach Flora tricks in the kitchen to save time (and improve the taste).
She is such an even-keeled person it’s hard for you to pinpoint the best way to show Flora your love. Over time, you realize cooking her food seems to be the best received. Flora doesn’t give much more acknowledgment than words or physical touch, but her eyes light up. Flora also greatly appreciates your acceptance of her friendship with the raccoon, and don’t treat her weirdly for it. She fell in love with you when you included the furry critter in your picnic plans.
LUMINA
One of your first dates involved painting lessons from Sebastian. As Romana began to trust you with Lumina’s safety you ventured further. Lumina enjoys the farm and exploring the life of others in Forget-Me-Not Valley when you start dating. She has remained secluded and shy in the manor for so long she almost clings to you for socializing with new people. Dates in the city focus on orchestras, musicals, and trendy cafes. Lumina loves the desserts and is enthusiastic to learn when you offer to teach her how to bake.
Lumina can effortlessly express her love for you in elegant words and speeches. However, she becomes flustered when you initiate contact. Lumina was raised to be prim and proper, and while she enjoys your touches, she can’t help but feel it’s inappropriate to publicly display at times. She becomes easily jealous and feels threatened when your attention is elsewhere. Lumina can be cold to you and downright rude to whoever has your attention. Her mood is always quickly improved when you spend time focusing on her.
MARLIN/MATTHEW
He enjoys using the time you’re both free to visit coffee shops. This is usually after browsing a bookstore or one connected to it. Matthew enjoys quietly spending the time to look over your different tastes. He is an enormous board game enthusiast eager to introduce you to his favorite games. He’ll play less complicated games with you but mutters about the reduced difficulty. If you enjoy video games, Matthew also plays them with you.
Matthew is not a fan of public displays of affection. He’ll hold your hand and hug you quickly but draws the line there. Anything more intimate, Matthew wants privacy with you. Matthew likes to show his love by helping you on the farm and teaching you new methods for crop growth. He can be prickly when you show him a better way of doing something, but he always appreciates you taking the time and sharing. Matthew is happiest when you give him something you grew, showing you’ve listened to his advice.
MUFFY/MOLLY
Your relationship with Molly starts rocky when dating. She has experienced a lot of letdowns in dating and tries not to show her worry things will turn out wrong with you. Once she is sure you’re not going anywhere, she is thrilled to show off your relationship to Forget-Me-Not Valley and her friends in the city. Molly enjoys elaborate dates to art museums, restaurants, and the movies as much as walking through town and having picnics by the riverside. While she is happy spending time with you, Molly’s favorite activity is spa days at your house.
Molly is huge on physical touch! She wants to be in contact with you as much as possible. If you’re working on the farm, she’ll find a way to bump into you or graze your hand. She also enjoys receiving gifts that show you were thinking of her. She'll swoon even if it’s as small as a flower you picked on the way to the bar. Molly knows she isn’t the best at many things in the cafe, but she is always happy to show you her improvements first. She puts time and care into learning from Griffin to make your favorite dishes and drinks.

When you start dating, you learn that Nami enjoys new experiences. She likes coming to your farm to help with farming and caring for the animals. She especially enjoys the cattle and watching their milk process into cheese and butter. She also enjoys visiting the dig site with you to help search for items. As a traveler, Nami has been all over the surrounding area. She takes you on day trips to see holidays and festivals you’ve never experienced. She also takes time to explain her favorite locations and show you around the places she used to live.
Nami isn’t one to give words of affirmation, but she can become bothered when you don’t give constructive criticism or recognize her efforts. She won’t be the type to say so out loud, but she harbors the feelings and can sulk. Her time spent sulking is short-lived when you show up with her favorite things to show you were thinking of her. Nami shows her love by spending time with you and taking an interest in your life. She admires how much you put into helping the community and prioritizing her needs over your own. If Nami mentions traveling somewhere, her plans always include you.

What I expect, and don't, from a Scott Pilgrim Season 2
Spoilers for all of the Scott Pilgrim works as I go through various plot points in the comics, and the ending of the first season, into hypothetical expectations if Bryan and BenDavid decide to do another.
What NOT to expect:
Memory Holes
Scott's gaps in memory are a good rug pull to the narration, it allows things we've previously seen to be recontextualized as Scott becomes aware he's not actually the hero.
Thing is, Scott already knows this possibility from the end of Season 1 so we don't need it.
This isn't a statement of 'no Nega-Scott' but we'll come back to that later.
Kim/Knives
Kim and Knives making out was a tool to set-up a Book 5 plot detail about Kim's relationship with Scott and Ramona. The part of that matters is we need to see Kim isn't straight, and there weren't a ton of female characters who would realistically make out with Kim and weren't busy in another plot.
We've done this by having Kim try it out with Roxie, so Kim being bi is established already if they want to do the complicated 'I think I'm in love with either my best friend/ex or his current girlfriend' thing that was a bit of Kim's character.
We also don't need to fish for 'reasons Knives is still around' she's in the band now, she's good.
The Glow
This is more of a 'that needed foreshadowing that isn't there' thing and we didn't foreshadow it so it probably isn't there. Ramona got her plot forward and her baggage detonation so it's not super useful anymore.
The Powers of Love, Self-Respect, and/or Understanding
So they could do these plot beats, but I don't think the swords work here. See, the swords work as a perfectly solid 'Scott leveled up' visual by making him cooler. And it plays even better in the movie because of how sword fights film vs. fistfights.
Thing is, it's still saying that all 'understanding who you are' or 'respecting yourself and your needs' or 'being in love' is good for is stabbing people? It really feels hollow. Especially compared to Ramona's self-acceptance being 'turn into a God temporarily.'
So if Scott gains any of those titles, it won't just be a sword.
Okay now that I've gone through a bunch of stuff I don't see coming up. I'm listing them as 'options' less because any two are mutually exclusive but all four cannot be done together.
Option One: Scott Gets a Life
So Scott didn't get to do most of his character growy things on account of him being dead for Tax Purposes. So he's still a useless mooch without a job, or anything to do other than play music. This isn't necessarily bad, but it is something they have to do something with.
First is to do battle of the bands, lean all in on Sex Bob-Omb and the music going forward as the endgame to solve that Kim is also jobless. It isn't terribly grounded (but it could be very pretty visually), so I'm not super sold on it but it isn't off the table.
They can also lean into 'Scott can cook' and do his cooking chef route from the books. This is more grounded and also can be visually pretty if done right. They can also do all manner of other job routes for Scott especially if the joke about job class systems because video games!
Option Two: Gideon is Still Evil™
So when Matthew was running from Gideon in G-Man Media's Headquarters he ran into a vault he couldn't blast through. That probably has even cryopods with six occupants. Because Gideon is still the worst.
And 'but he's Gordon now' or 'but he has Julie now' are both not answers to the fact that Gideon is meant to be an incarnation of everything Scott could become. Notably Gideon didn't do any of his cool things™ from either book or movie in Season 1.
Gideon still punishes women who betray him and Julie hates Scott. Gideon frames his revenge as making Scott suffer it is the perfect in-road to go after Ramona. Putting Julie in the Envy spot from Book 6. Which is even better because the betrayal will feel stronger since Gideon seems to like Julie sincerely.
Option Three: Scott's Ex Quest
So Scott has three significant ex girlfriends to dive in on. (I'm not counting Knives as- well, S1 actually resolved Knives pretty well?) And working through how Scott hurt them, and how they hurt him, and how it changed him would be a good avenue to do his character growth. It's honestly some of the stronger elements of the book looking right at Scott's past sincerely.
This is the closest we get to retelling the books, but the twist is probably in execution, or in who else is involved. As all of Ramona's Exes being around and not-evil means we have new in-roads to character development.
Option Four: Nega-Scott/Future Scott
Scott is aware that he could be the problem, that awareness and vigilance makes the book version of Nega-Scott hard to work. The Shadow-Link attacking from nowhere just won't cut it. But we can do a similar thing with his awareness of the potential, a manifestation of his fears. Because this is a Rule of Cool series Scott's Fears becoming a monster makes as much sense as anything.
So Scott just occasionally seeing/fighting an EvilRyu!Scott who shows up whenever Scott is especially anxious is entirely acceptable. This especially works if the central theme of the series is Scott trying to become more mature and responsible, having this evil manbaby hunting him represents that nicely.
