Only a few months had gone by since [Name] and Loki met. In the few months they knew each other the two had spent majority of their time together. The two were practically inseparable, only really separating when [Name] had school or if one was in desperate need of an audience with someone. So, it was only natural that Loki knew many things about [Name]; and in turn, [Name] knew many things about Loki. It would come to surprise to many that knew Loki that [Name] didn’t know one very important fact about Loki.
Loki is genderfluid.
It was common knowledge that the young shapeshifter would often shift his appearance to accommodate to his gender perception of himself at the time. But that hadn’t happen yet in the time they knew each other.
This all came to [Name] all of a sudden one day after school.
It had been a long day at school for [Name]; between the constant questions about her father and the teachers that decided to make [Name] stay an extra two hours, she was exhausted. Walking through the door of the elevator, she made her way to enter her room on the other side of the floor. Tony had given [Name] and Loki and guests they wanted to have, their own corridor. Saying something about that they would talk too loud into the night and that they seemed to have too much fun together or something stupid. [Name] thought it was sweet; not something he would give to just anyone.
Opening the door to her room she was met with a familiar face with a completely unfamiliar look. Loki was sat on the couch closest to the door she had just opened and was dressed in an entirely typically feminine outfit, well as typically feminine as Asgardian clothing goes, completed with long flowing hair that seemed to frame her face perfectly. As soon as she saw Loki, [Name]’s jaw dropped and her face warmed with a familiar flush that she would get around Loki, but this felt different. Why was she this worked up? Loki had looked up from her book when she heard a something hit the ground near the door. Loki looked towards the figure in the doorway and upon seeing [Name] and her fallen bag, she smiled stood to approach her.
“Hi love! How was your day?” Loki asked in a velvet tone that made [Name] want to melt.
Loki was met with silence, noticing this, she quickly scanned [Name]’s shocked and flustered face. [Name]’s face was a flushed red and her eyes were frantically looking all around Loki, seemingly trying to take her all in. Loki has never seen her this way. It was only then that Loki registered why Mataya was acting this way. She had never seen Loki in her most feminine form; or any feminine form really.
Loki put her hand on the side of [Name]’s face and tried to pull her attention away from the rest of her body.
“Darling, are you-” Loki began before she was cut off.
“You’re hot.” [Name] said simply, face more flushed than before, if that is even possible.
“Like really, really pretty. What the hell.” Loki could only grin, she knew that she had an effect on the young Stark, but to get this reaction? She was not going to forget this.
“I think I have forgotten to tell you that I am genderfluid and this happens sometimes.” Loki explained plainly. [Name] grabbed the sides of Loki’s face and brought her in for a loving kiss.
“I fucking love you.” [Name] whispered the moment they separated. There was only pure love and adoration in her eyes when gazed into Loki’s eyes.
“I- You are quite cute when you are that flustered, you know that?”
“Oh my g-” [Name] shoved her face in Loki’s shoulder in an attempt to hide her burning face. Loki could only giggle while she pulled [Name] closer to her body.
“Why haven’t you shifted to look like this before, if you don’t mind me asking.” [Name] asked in a soft but unsure voice.
“Hmmm, I am not quite sure. Maybe it’s because I met you as a ‘boy’ and I fell in love with you as a ‘boy’ and so part of me loved how you would treat me as a ‘boy’ and I guess my gender reflected that for the last few months. But I was having a very feminine day, and you wearing that dress just sparked my feminine side to take over. But please don’t treat me any different, despite the fact that I don’t look the ‘boy’ you met or fell in love with, I still am Loki. Still dagger loving, snake shifting, chaos loving partner that loves you to other realities and back. Although, I wouldn’t mind if you treated me as your girlfriend.” A single tear left Loki’s left eye and Mataya reached to softly wipe it away.
“Loki, you know that I love you. Every single part of you. I will never treat you like you any different because you aren’t always a ‘boy’. I love you, and I have to say, you are the most beautiful girlfriend I could ever ask for.”
Loki looked longingly into her eyes smiling before tucking her head in [Name]'s neck and mumbling a soft,
"I love you so much, my love."
