Finished a long project for Bionicle! Detailed pics under the cut
The intro from The Mask of Light film as a block print with watercolour, medieval illuminated manuscript style. Took me about 3 months, mostly planing out the lego pieces as the floral decorations

AU where immediately after grabbing the Kanohi Avohkii out of the lava Takua promptly fumbles, drops it again, trips while trying to catch it, and then proceeds to face plant directly onto the mask.
Search for the seventh Toa speedrun complete :P
“But I can still compete in the kolhii match, right?” he asks, causing Jaller and Vakama to both just immediately facepalm themselves. Vakama resigns himself to substituting Kapura in his place; he either takes the entire match to move a single step or he does his quick travel thing and wins in under ten seconds.
Either way, Vakama is completely exasperated by the day’s events and 10000000% done.

This is my MoL Takanuva and Makuta design. Makuta was a real piece of work to color and line tbh and while I might change his head design, I'm kind of liking how his entire body turned out.

Rereading the Mask of Light novelization is fun. You have Jaller, Captain of the Guard, a very serious job he is very serious about, and Takua, whose career involves wandering an island full of carnivores and also satan. Individually they are smart people.
But the second they’re together, they are an absolute meme. It’s like what would happen if Captain America was handcuffed to an ADHD Indiana Jones.
