Siamo a Mombaruzzo in provincia di Asti. Qui si producono i famosissimi amaretti di mandorle e fare la scorta di questi buonissimi dolcetti direttamente dai produttori è la nostra mission possible. Mentre siamo intenti a compiere la nostra missione, passeggiando per le stradine di questo centro ci ritroviamo davanti all’Osteria La Marlera, giusto, giusto all’ ora di pranzo. Com’è strano a volte il caso :-).

Come sai, se ci segui e hai letto qualche nostro post, quando scatta l’ora x (che sia pranzo o cena) Kris si ferma davanti al locale che lo ispira e, come un cane da punta che avvista una preda,  si ferma e non vuole fare un passo in più. Così è successo anche questa volta. Io voglio continuare il giro alla ricerca degli amaretti da comprare, ma lui mi convince che è il momento di fare una pausa ristoratrice (non è poi così difficile convincermi :-)) ed entriamo. È stata un’ottima pensata! Perché? Guarda le foto dei piatti che abbiamo ordinato e ne avrai un’idea.

Questa volta abbiamo una vera e propria chicca per te. La signora Mariangela, che ringraziamo davvero molto, ci ha gentilmente svelato la ricetta originale del suo ‘Vitello Tonnato con salsa all’Antica’. Se hai voglia di cimentarti nella preparazione trovi la ricetta qui sotto, ma se hai occasione di passare a Mombaruzzo ti consigliamo di cogliere l’opportunità di provare quello fatto da lei. Una bontà assoluta. Come del resto tutte le pietanze che abbiamo provato. I piatti sono stati accompagnati dalla gentilezza e dalla simpatia del marito, che ci ha servito e ha risposto a tutte le nostre domande e curiosità.

La signora Mariangela ci tiene a sottolineare che “in cucina le ricette sono molto importanti, e possono essere più o meno complicate, vuoi per le tecniche usate o per le attrezzature che non sempre in una cucina casalinga vi sono. La cosa fondamentale è la ricerca della qualità dei prodotti che usiamo, e riteniamo che più una ricetta è semplice e maggiore deve essere la cura con cui si selezionano gli ingredienti per tale ricetta”. Siamo daccordo con lei e possiamo dire che della sua cucina quello che ci ha colpito maggiormente, oltre alle materie prime impiegate, è la passione e l’amore che ci mette in ogni singola preparazione e che si percepisce nel gustare i suoi piatti.

Cosa abbiamo provato? Come antipasto abbiamo ordinato un Antipasto Piemontese composto Battuta di Fassone Piemontese, Vitello tonnato e Insalata russa. Come primi: dei Ravioli al plin con sugo d’arrosto e Macaron del Fret con cipolla di Tropea, salame di Turgia e squacquerone. La nostra soddisfazione era già ai massimi livelli, ma abbiamo voluto fare l’en plein e chiudere in bellezza o, è il caso di dirlo, in dolcezza con il dessert: una crema di nocciole Giacometta Giraudi con lingue di gatto e Semifreddo alle meringhe con composta di more e un caffè.

Ecco la ricetta del Vitello Tonnato con salsa all’Antica dell’Osteria La Marlera.

Preparazione della carne: Prendi un magatello (conosciuto anche come rotondino) di Fassone Piemontese. Legalo e rosolalo uniformemente con olio extra vergine in un fondo di carote, cipolle, sedano e aromi, sale e pepe q.b. Sfuma con vino Chardonnay e termina la cottura, avendo cura di non superare la temperatura di 65° gradi al cuore, da misurarsi con una sonda per arrosti.

Preparazione della salsa: Nel frattempo fai bollire le uova, estrai il tuorlo sodo e frullalo con tonno, filetto di acciuga (preferibilmente sotto sale del Cantabrico), capperi sotto sale, un po’ di brodo vegetale, e olio extravergine, sino a raggiungere la densità desiderata. Affetta sottile la carne ed accompagnala con la salsa.

Ti consigliamo di accompagnare il tutto con un bicchiere di Barbera della Cantina Tre Secoli. Buon appetito.

How was filming “Fast and Furious 8”

Movie shooting Fast and Furious 8 started in early spring of 2016. Key scenes from the place of action in Russia, Cuba and new York was filmed in the early stages of the production process, as they set the tone and pace for all future work. To remove Russia in Russia did not: the group has fulfilled these episodes in Iceland. Another film crew now working in Cuba. The fast and the FURIOUS franchise consists of the narration of the team, many of which 200 experts have worked on all films since 2000. Stunt group was led by brothers Jack and Andy Gill – under their strict control stunt planned and implemented the most dynamic and exciting scenes that were born in the imagination of screenwriter Chris Morgan. For the movie Fast and Furious 8 he staged a real race on a frozen Icelandic lake and carefully planned race for vehicles and pedestrians to the streets of new York.

In the first case, the crew spent almost four weeks on the frozen lakes of Iceland and then Reykjavik. The final chord of the work became a race of 16 cars and exploding ice, which created the illusion of a submarine. On the frozen Barents Sea has been the scene of the final collision of Cypher and the House, speeding through the snowy landscape from a submarine. Shooting had to be effective and safe, so the filmmakers enlisted the support of local experts, which monitored the snow cover and ice. The Americans were good students, but much depended on the patience, diligence, and accurate execution of all the tricks.

The Icelandic location, where scenes were filmed last third of the film, was very distant and low temperatures required a special approach to the work, ranging from maintenance of vehicles and behavior of the cars on the ice and ending with the tricks that put Razatos and his team. Anyway, the battle vehicles against a submarine was epic.

During the preparatory period, McCarthy and his team occupied one of the warehouses in southern California. Wizard modified the machine to work in harsh conditions and sent them to Iceland. The diesel got the same Dodge Charger, which masters called “Ice” and “Rock,” modified Dodge truck, which immediately dubbed the “Ice ramming”. Rodriguez took the place behind the wheel of the Rally Fighter, Scott Eastwood – Subaru WRX.

Leaving the cold of Iceland behind, McCarthy and his team moved to Cuba to prepare for the next test. Getting to work on the eighth picture, he first met with a representative of the authorities of Washington Ron Marlera and international political adviser Richard Klein, to discuss the possibility of filming in Cuba. It was necessary to obtain permission and a license for the transportation of actors, crew, equipment and machinery in the country, and prepare a future set.

On the island of Cuba were no single Hollywood blockbuster. Fottrell and his team made several study visits, assessing potential locations and infrastructure, dealing with local filmmakers and actors, looking after the equipment. Finally, the Studio and filmmakers have sat down for a negotiating table with representatives of the Cabinet of Raul Castro to talk about an upcoming project. Politicians were not familiar with the franchise the fast and the FURIOUS, but reacted to the proposal very seriously and concerned.

Once agreement has reached, it was possible to move to a two-week shoot. Permission has granted for phenomenal monuments of the colonial era, including the national hotel and the Malecon that connects Old Havana and Vedado. The command “action!” sounded in April, but the first of 200 specialists-over team arrive on the island for four months before it began. They worked with the authorities, local filmmakers, residents and business people in all areas of the Cuban capital. The agreement reached between Cuba and the United States cannot be underestimated. Fast and FURIOUS 8 was the first film, which Studio Universal Pictures filmed in Cuba since 1963, when the island was imposed the us embargo, grey, Diesel, Rodriguez and Theron were among the first Americans working on camera in the Cuban capital.

No matter how demanding and cruel the conditions of work in Iceland, Cuba’s filmmakers are faced with a new trouble – the lack of spare parts and tools that were necessary mechanics. I had to calculate all possible scenarios to be ready for almost any eventuality. The car, of course, could not completely avoid collisions during the Cuban race. Therefore, the automotive division has shipped to Cuba seven 10 Chevy and Ford.

The mere mention of the film or the sound of English speech immediately aroused great interest among the Cubans. Every day, hundreds of residents, tourists and fans of the franchise were looking for a place upcoming filming, combing district by district. Often the mere raising shoukara on the Transporter caused a storm of applause. Sometimes a crowd of onlookers surrounded the cars – many wanted to see the beauties up close, to touch or to play on their background. Professional pilot Fred North has developed an innovative technique of aerial photography and made many sorties, taking Havana from the height of bird flight. It was another historic moment for the crew and the whole of Cuba. The helicopter went down at a critical height, and the operator kept the focus on a dynamic race through the streets of the city. The sound of the blades is reflected from buildings and increased tenfold. It was the first American helicopters had flown into Cuban airspace.

Coordinator of cars, Dennis McCarthy admits that his favorite scene was the dynamic of racing and breathtaking stunts. He liked the scene in which Hobbs Show and the other riders are on factory fish processing, which serves as a facade for a base of operations. The team gets a real car heaven: they were waiting for the endless rows of various legends racing, industrial and military industry. McCarthy tried to collect under one roof all the best that had a motor and was on the move. To do this he had to call all private collectors, dealers, customs officials and manufacturers from around the world. When the preparatory work was completed, McCarthy estimated that the cost of such a fleet could exceed $17 million they had been assembled for several days of shooting.

Art Director, worked on the project bill Brzeski. He remembers with particular trepidation work on one of the most important scenery – a haven of kiberprestupniki Cypher. Based on Brzeski took the engineering plans for the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, but added to the interior some drastic changes. Another pride Brzeski was the decoration of the prison. A large part of the scenes has filmed in an abandoned factory in the North of Atlanta.
