I like to think…

That is the only reason why Sabine’s force abilities got so much stronger all of a sudden was because of Ezra. Not only did it give her some clarity but it probably cleared up the blockage she had with the connection and also because of Ezra himself.

You can take this romantically or platonically. She connected with Ahsoka, and helped with the door (sorta) grabbed her lightsaber, and pushed him up onto the star-destroyed when she was with him. No matter how many times in the season when her life was in danger she didn't have any connection but now suddenly when she’s with Ezra it just grows stronger!

You can also say, that her powers were a lot more intense when Ezra’s life was in danger, and maybe the next time we see her she won’t be as strong with the force because Ezra isn't there.

Now. I'm not trying to see all of Sabine’s character is about Ezra but he does bring a huge impact in on her life just like she is to him.

I liked doing RA fandom better when I hadn’t read past book 4 and legit had zero fucking idea what anything was. Who’s Maddie? Why is Will grown-up and in fantasy Japan? Why are Gilan and this Selethen dude gay? Why are there lute/mandolin jokes?

Back then all I did was read Skandia trauma fics (love every author who writes them you’re so based) and dive into blatant spoiler territory without context. It was so much fun, especially when I’d just finished book 1, went looking for Will hurt/comfort fics, then stumbled across the most depressing fic about Will being exiled to Nihon-Ja during some kind of apocalypse (???) and I legitimately had to guess who half the characters were. Like I’m not being sarcastic here it was genuinely so interesting to have to reconstruct from no context

I'd read the article of that interview, but never actually seen it!

(And yeah, I'd sort of suspected he'd gotten "lute" and "mandolin" mixed up..)

But OMG, Hugh!

No, saying Joey tried to show you how to play the lute without context is no spoilers...

However, had I seen that interview before watching the show, I'm pretty sure that having you wonder out loud if you were spoiling stuff might have made me wonder if "something special" happened with the lute playing at some point...

No... But color me now very intrigued...

And then, you have Graham McTavish going "I didn't realise he actually played it! " referring to Hugh, then bloody WINCING (as if going "Shit. I think I wasn't supposed to say that!")!

Meanwhile, Cassie Clare is just so oblivious like "Oh, I thought you played it," (let's say if I'd been a casting director and learned I'd cast another real life lute player to play Jaskier's boyfriend, I'd have been pretty freaked out!), and confirming to Graham that Hugh really did play the lute in that scene...

And then saying "I would love to see more of Radovid singing and dancing...", thus implying that we would get to see some of it.

Last Wednesday I had one of the strangest gigs ever. I played Bard to a pair of adventurers, one of whom was attempting to solve the clues, beat the challenges and earn the rune stones that would allow him to marry his bride this past Saturday. (Spoiler: He made it).

In the first of these two videos I played mandolin and serenaded the intrepid venturer as he went forth the ride the mechanical bull at the Wild West Casino hotel.

Later, serenaded him after he failed (actually we discovered that the bull doesn’t run on Wednesdays).

Here we go, another "apropo of nothing" music post!

I love jazz but it is far from the only style in which I compose. I thought it would be fun to post three short cues I wrote for the soundtrack of Lost Lake, an independent feature film from Adams Entertainment in the late '90s. The film was written by my good friends Anthony Leigh Adams and Christina Adams...it's a bit complex to summarize but let's just say that it spanned an unusual spectrum of romance, past lives, extreme skiing, comedy and tragedy.

This first cue is the OVERTURE...deep fans will recognize the initial musical motif from a song I released years later. In the original edit, this music played over a fast-paced CGI ride through space, tearing through other solar systems until we arrived at earth...

The next cue was for a somewhat tense but tender dinner scene set in one of the main character's beautiful mountain lodge's dining room. I had never even touched a mandolin before but decided I could fake my way through this one.

And finally, the ASTRAL SOUL CIRCUS THEME or the UNDERTURE--this music played in the final scene as the characters learn---Spoiler Alert!!!!!---that they had come to the end of their 'Life On Earth" rides and as their guide is helping them come to terms with this, they stroll through a colorful CGI fairground which offers options for their next ride. Most of the musical motifs are significant themes from earlier in the movie, brought back to say goodbye I suppose! Many thanks to Tripp Sprague who played soprano sax and a wooden flute, Mitch Manker who covered the trumpet and flugelhorn parts and a cellist from the San Diego Symphony whose name has slipped my mind.
