the song Abigail very RE7/RE8
think it technically makes more sense for RE7 (evelyn being “reborn” with mia, plus shes kinda canonically a little fucker) but could be RE8 (mother miranda placeholding for mia who iirc is Fucking Dead)

Having an entertaining, low-key Shivadh Saturday around here today. One of the subplots of Royals/Ramblers involves some light underwater archaeology, but Monday doesn't want to dive while she's pregnant, so Michaelis volunteers to let her train and direct him, diving in her place. He's just come up from his last practice dive in the harbor, and it's time to break for lunch...
"The gossip about these lessons is very funny," he added, nodding subtly at a man with his phone out, clearly trying not to seem like he was taking their picture. "Your brother sends me regular reports of my fame, you know. Lately it's half wild speculation about why you and I are spending so much time together and half amusement that I've decided to take up extreme sports late in life."
"Nothing salacious, is there?"
"Well, salacious, yes. Malicious, I don't think so," he said. "Nobody takes that kind of thing seriously, or if they do, the palace finds a way to deal with them. I've found that, once you cross fifty, you are assumed to be in a mid-life crisis until you die, so someone's always imagining that I've lost my senses. Currently, the question is whether the mid-life crisis is the scuba diving or the imagined affair."
"What a soap opera that would be," Monday said. "In this scenario are you also secretly the father of my child?"
"Naturally. The whole surrogacy is just a ruse to cover it up."
"Scandalous. I guess it speaks to your character that a lot of people think your idea of a mid-life crisis is diving, though," she said.
"Well, most of them have met me," he said. "Aside from driving too fast and always thinking I know best, my sins are few and mild. And I would put up with a great deal more aspersions on my character," he added, "for both the pleasure of your company here and the eventual grandchild. Although if it bothers you, you should tell Theophile, he'll put Comms on it."
"Nah. I never really hear much about it," she said, as they reached land. There was a little bank of outdoor storage chests, mainly for the few boaters who used the pier; he began packing the equipment into one of them, slipping some sandals on while she continued. "And I'm used to it from my surf days. Not exactly this, obviously, but when you reach a certain level in any sport, as a woman, people start to insinuate things."
"Unconscionable," Michaelis said, locking the trunk closed. "Unfortunately also a reality of life -- every few years, when the news cycle was slow, there'd be some ass who'd dig out a photograph of me with a random woman at a party and claim I was running around on my wife. It used to bother Gregory. Miranda found it uproariously funny."
"What about you?" she asked, and he was quiet for a moment as they continued walking.
"It never really registered, I think. Some things did, some things I took very personally, but that always felt so childish. I couldn't take it seriously. May we all be so blessed, eh? Given the lives we lead."
"Before you guys came to visit, our dad said to me that Ed doesn't look super far forward into the future," Monday said. "Dad wasn't sure Ed understood how huge a commitment he was making. Not like a two-year Eat Network contract, was how he put it. Ramblers do tend to live in the moment, but when he said that I thought, well, that won't be me. I might not have a life plan or anything but I know the proportions of the promises I make. Now...maybe I should have taken a long look at myself, too."
They'd reached the curve of footpath that would lead them around the Maritime Academy's building, to the little grassy area with tables and benches; he paused, glancing out at the harbor and then back at her.
"You know, you're well liked here," he said. "Not just by us, the family I mean, but by the town. It seems like you've made friends, too. I don't know that it needs to be said, but in case you weren't aware, you'd be welcome if you wanted to stay. You'd have a place here. Not as the..." he gestured dismissively, "queen mother, or royal surrogate, or whatnot, but purely as Theophile's sister. If you wanted. No pressure," he added with a smile.
"I knew, but it's nice to hear," she agreed, leading him down to the tables, setting the bag on one of them. "It's not...in the plan for me, I think, but if I did want to stay, I'll keep it in mind."
"Do. And now, let's see what Simon has sent us for lunch -- ah, excellent," he said, fishing a pair of plastic containers out of the bag. "Cold curried chicken or roast beef sandwich?"
"Split 'em?" Monday suggested.
"Won't help the rumors," he said, smiling, but he took half the sandwich when she offered, scooping half the chicken into her container with a suspiciously sporklike object from the bag.
A picture of them having lunch together did make the gossip blogs the next day. Monday, lying in bed next to a still-sleeping Georgie, took a screenshot of the photo and clickbaity headline and sent it to him without comment.
His response came back a few minutes later. Our union can never be. A fish and a bird might fall in love, but where would they build a home?

gender headcanons for the monprom ROs because this has been a running joke/headcanon/joke headcanon for a while now so it deserves to finally have a post
from simpler to more complicated:
scott, zoe, and vera are a binary trans man and two binary trans women, respectively. alas.
damien is cis but specifically in the f1nn5ter way. yes he still does drag but also? just wears skirts and dresses and bra inserts. he looks hot in them. it might not be a gender thing with him, but also it might be. gender is mostly comparable to that of a rooster. will punch you if you she/her him no matter the outfit (outside of drag performances, which are different). might also punch you regardless, you know how he is.
polly is genderfluid but especially for the bit. sometimes he just wants to go full frat bro, yaknow? she's your girl, your man, your bro, your dude, your ladyfriend, your gal pal, your comrade, your compatriot, your rotten soldier. sometimes will steal people's pronouns, but will always give them back when asked. if theres a way they can use a gender to do a sick prank, they will.
merfolk have no concept of gender in their culture, and really, miranda just went with she/her pronouns and getting labelled a girl because thats what other people thought of her and she doesnt want to deal with it. unfortunately this means everyone else tends to assume rudeness or maliciousness, and also assume that she's a cis woman, when all of these are wrong. it just sucks, to have everyone forcibly judge you by a concept that you dont share and had no way of knowing about, and try to shove you into a system that you dont belong within and never have. even calling her nonbinary is wrong, because she doesnt have a binary to be judged outside of. everything about the land is just so intensely gendered that she can never avoid it.
they forgot to give calculester a gender when they were setting him up, and now he's just kinda stuck like that? he/him in the same way you might refer to a small animal or dog you don't know, or in the way you might he/him a plant that's slightly wilting or needs more sun.
if miranda wants people to stop asking her about her gender, liam wants people to keep asking him about his gender. keeps telling people more and more things about his gender and less and less does it make any sense to anyone who is not himself. has powerpoints with occult diagrams to explain his gender. wrote a thesis statement about his gender. you ask him about his gender and you come away with homework and a reading list of all the tomes you need to understand his gender. keeps switching up what pronouns he uses, and will decide on a whim that he's not accepting one or the other anymore, sometimes mid-conversation or even mid-sentence. LOVES the most obscure neopronouns he can find and actively enjoys fucking with people using them. his gender is malicious and grows by the second. polly is one of the few people who effortlessly understand his gender.

Unpopular Opinion: Mia Winters does not deserve the hate that she gets after RE8.
Don’t get me wrong, keeping Ethan in the dark was a bad decision. But it was not done out of malicious intent, but more out of trauma. After everything that happened, she just wanted something NORMAL. She was probably afraid that if Ethan knew he was mold, that he would leave her in the name of keeping her safe, especially since we see her taking medications as a result of what happened in 7.
People think she is terrible because Ethan couldn’t tell she was Miranda.
1) She had a baby, their marriage was a back burner at that point
2) Hormones are still a thing even that far in
3) It is very common for sex to wait several weeks after birth so mama can heal.
4) We have no inclination whether Rose was fed Formula, Boob, or a mix of both
5) There are drugs that can induce lactation and a lactation consultant will sometimes give them to mothers who have adopted their children and want to breastfeed. Miranda could have used those to feed Rose, if she couldn’t induce lactation in herself
6) BABY FORMULA EXISTS! BOOBS ARE NOT NECESSARY! And considering what Rose was, there is a good chance she may have been restricted to formula as so many babies are if there are medical issues
7) Miranda probably hadn’t been there too terribly long otherwise she could have grabbed Rose while Ethan was asleep or claimed that him wanting to talk about the events of 7 was too much she was leaving with the baby, and most likely spent more time watching than anything. Plus given Ethan’s clear affection towards Mia, it goes to show that Miranda had been watching enough to know they did still love each other
8) Married people have disagreements/arguments. Not every one is going to be a screaming match.
9) Respecting boundaries is not a bad thing. Ethan does keep pushing the subject of what happened in 7, but he knows when to give Mia space and not push her too hard. Especially since every time we see him bring it up, Rose is around and giving birth is physically and emotionally taxing and babies mean little sleep for parents.
Mia winters wanted something normal for once after going through such a harsh trauma. And considering weapons training is the only form of counseling either of them seem to get, it is safe to say it was trauma being untreated. She loved Ethan. She begged him to stay away in 7 to save his life. After Chris saves her, Ethan and Rose are both on the forefront of her mind and the first thing she asks about. She gets way too much hate for wanting that. It was a bad decision, but characters who have made worse ones for worse reasons don’t get nearly as much hate as she does.
You can hate Mia for a ton of reasons, but the reasons I’m seeing are superficial and the result of her being in the way of the Wintersberg ship. OT3 that shit like a grown up!

Thinking thoughts about Ethan Winters
Been trying to dissect the character of Ethan Winters to try and figure out what makes him tick, and y'know what-
The vibe I'm getting is the kind of guy who's just hostile to everything that feels weird to him because he's afraid it's going to ruin his image as a Normal Guy. I feel like a reason this scares him is because he knows it's all he has going for him.
He's not particularly charming. He's not especially clever. He's likely spent his life coasting by on being a conventionally attractive cis white guy.
The kind of vibe I'm getting is similar to Betty Draper from Mad Men - going through the motions of a life that doesn't actually bring him any joy because he's internalized that this is just what you have to do.
In both RE7 and RE8, Ethan kills a bunch of people while believing that he and they have absolutely nothing in common. In Ethan's mind, he's normal, but these other people are all just monsters, and that's that. He sees no point in considering why they're like this and how they feel about their circumstances. Eveline is, I think, the most outstanding example of this. She's literally just a neglected, traumatized kid, acting out in a way that neglected, traumatized kids can do (albeit with a capacity to cause harm amplified by virtue of having a biology that other kids don't). Ethan never once registers the utter tragedy of Eveline, and he directs his anger toward the traumatized child, not at the adults who traumatized her.
In RE8, Ethan kills the four lords, whom he also regards as nothing more than revolting monsters that he has nothing in common with. He is, after all, just a Normal Guy. Not a Mutant Freak. He could never. Right?
And well, that's when Ethan discovers that he isn't just a Normal Guy (at least, in his reckoning of what constitutes a Normal Guy.) He's been a megamycete mutant for awhile now. He doesn't really and truly process this, he doesn't really think about what it means; he just soldiers on in his quest. And then he dies.
Diagetically, this is explained as the consequence of Ethan being critically injured and exhausted. It's implied that he might have even survived if he hadn't decided to fight Miranda. But one could argue that thematically, Ethan's death is ultimately caused by his own lack of imagination. He can't imagine how he could possibly go on living as a mutant freak. The narrative he's been telling himself for years, that mutant freaks deserve to die because they are mutant freaks, is probably gnawing at him from his subconscious. Evaline's cruel taunts could be interpreted as reflections of what Ethan himself already believes - one could argue that she's just throwing back the hatred that he's been unknowingly exposing her to for years.
Now of course, since Miranda walled off the village with mold, it's not as if Ethan could've gone to Chris Redfield for help... right? Well, I mean, it sure never seems to have crossed Ethan's mind that he could've just asked the mold to Stop Being In The Way Please and let Redfield and Pals inside.
The thing about the mold is, it's not inherently antagonistic or malicious; it's only as antagonistic and malicious as the people who influence it. So far, we've seen it under the influence of a troubled child and a parent who thinks her precious little girl is entitled to have the whole world. There's no reason to think that Ethan couldn't influence it, if he wanted to.
But for Ethan to recognize this and try to use that information to his advantage, he would have to question many of his assumptions about the monstrous and would have to go off his Normal Guy script. "Become Benevolent Mold Wizard" is a thing that Ethan can't even conceive of, because he's confined himself to a very tiny box that he refuses to leave for fear of what other people would think.
One could argue that what really killed Ethan Winters was a fear-driven refusal to question the meaning and value of "normal." The uncritical fear and hatred he directed toward anything outside of his own perception of normality turned into self-hatred when he finally realized that he himself wasn't normal. And if everyone else was worthy of death by simple virtue of being a "freak," then so, too, was he.
In a sense, I feel like Ethan Winters was always an extremely doomed man. If nothing weird had ever happened to him, he'd have likely gone on acting out the motions of a "normal" life, always afraid of what might happen if he didn't live up to expectations but never really understanding why he never felt any genuine emotional fulfillment. This likely would have led to a midlife crisis where he desperately tried to fill the aching void with all the things society and capitalism tell men that they should find fulfilling. He'd have likely lived as long as anyone with his particular forms of privilege might, but unless he reached a place where he was willing to question his beliefs and fears it would likely have been a very hollow existence.
In conclusion, fuck capitalism and embrace the fungus; the life you save might be your own.

Note
A lot of people going off about fictional pirates like the people who enjoy watching these shows agree with historically-accurate pirating behaviour (i.e. slavery/murder/etc). Meanwhile, I am simply lounging on my couch and enjoying these shows because I can engage with my critical thinking skills well enough to remember that these shows, like other historically-based but ultimately inaccurate popular media (think Hamilton, Greatest Showman, The Great, Pocahontas, anything about Ancient Greece/Rome/Egypt) don't reflect the real-life beliefs of the people they're depicting and that writers/producers are just using the names of recognisable figures to entice viewers to watch their show, rather than maliciously perpetuating the beliefs of these long-dead historical figures (do you think Lin Manuel Miranda is also pro-slavery because Alexander Hamilton owned slaves and legally assisted slaveowners in maintaining ownership of their slaves? No.). And you can tell that all of these people are aware that what they're saying is ridiculous, because none of them have the spine to message you off-anon and open themselves up to the same hate and vitriol they're spouting at people who are just trying to enjoy some fun TV about grimy queer pirates.

Mass Effect 2 replay, recruiting Grunt:
-There’s a lot of autodialogue on this mission. At the start, when speaking to the wounded merc, when speaking to Kelly about Grunt…
-This is not a super interesting mission. It’s mostly just shooting your way to Okeer, then shooting your way out.
I prefer the recruitment missions for Mordin and Garrus. They have more going on then just shooting.
-There are fires everywhere on this mission. Why? Side effect of training the Blue Suns by fighting the rejected krogans?
-What’s up with all these Blue Suns related missions?
Here, de facto rulers of Mordin’s ward in Omega, Zaeed’s loyalty mission… I don’t think Eclipse or the Blood Pack get as much focus.
-Also: Why is a garden world used as garbage bin? Garden worlds are precious. This must be one since everyone’s running around without helmets. Can’t they use one of the Level 1 or Level 2 hazard worlds for trash?
-The wounded merc is posed the same way as the wounded Talons in ME3’s Omega DLC.
They’re a lot cuter.
-Wounded Merc when you meet him: I’m not telling you anything.
*Immediately tells you everything regardless of the option you pick*
-If you go neutral and don’t take the renegade interrupt, both dialogue options say the same thing. I think this is the first time I’ve seen that in ME2
-Saren bred an army of krogan. Jedore wants an army of krogan.
Is this normal? Every few years someone attempts to create a new army of krogan?
The Council should have a department dedicated to this alone.
-This is not a vanguard friendly mission. There are so many foes in locations I can’t charge to.
-Miranda, please stop dying.
-I like the tank grown krogan more than I like Grunt, to be honest. Would have loved to recruit him.
As others have mentioned, it would make a great contrast to Miranda – she’s perfect. He’s a reject. They could have some interesting conversations.
Grunt and Miranda hit many of the same beats – they’re created perfect, and have a hard time fitting into society because of it. The tank grown krogan would provide a variant; does he deserve to exist even if he isn’t good enough?
-If krogans can be grown in tanks, why does the genophage need to be cured?
A cure would be good on a personal level, obviously. But until then, create babies in tanks and raise them.
Tricky to get the resources, but avoids the whole slowly dying out issue.
-I’d like to know more about Okeer’s imprint. Apparently it got the tank-grown krogan to speak to Shepard (why?) and stay in place to continue to fight the mercenaries (again, why?).
Very convenient for the plot, but I’m curious about the imprint consisted of to cause this behavior. It obviously went beyond just training them in the essentials.
-How long has this been going on?
At least a week, since the tank grown krogan’s been alive that long. And no alarm bells were ringing in Jedore’s head that Okeer was very obviously not creating an army for her?
-Why do we get the Codex entry about the krogan’s blood rage after speaking to the tank-grown krogan? Are the failures such because they don’t have it?
-Rana is terrible about picking employers. Especially since she claims she’s trying to redeem herself.
I suppose I can excuse this one. It’s hard to think straight when you’re indoctrinated.
-Kasumi if you go neutral or paragon with Rana: She seemed nice, in that “mad scientist, ethis for sale” kind of way.
Girl isn’t wrong. Rana’s not malicious, just utterly lacking a moral compass.
-Even after taking every route with Okeer, I’m still not clear what his end goal for Grunt was.
He wants to surpass the genophage, not cure it. Curing it would provoke a nuclear response from other species; one perfect soldier will not.
Fine, got it.
Grunt will be a lance to the galaxy and it will learn to fear him.
For what? What will Grunt actually do? He’s perfect, yes. He will lead to other perfect krogan, yes. And then…?
Okeer obviously had big plans. Grunt mentions later that Okeer’s old hatreds didn’t take. But no one ever mentions what Okeer’s plans or hatreds were.
-Speaking of: Okeer repeatedly mentions Grunt will be his legacy. It’s implied he died saving Grunt.
And then Grunt completely blows off Okeer’s imprint and has zero interest in him. Okeer was definitely an ass, but it’s still a kind of tragic ending.
I think Okeer would respect him for it, though. If Grunt was strong enough to overcome the imprint, that he was truly worthy.
-Interesting dialogue if you go neutral when picking up Grunt’s tank:
Shepard: We can always use another heavy hitter.
Miranda: If he’ll even help. I doubt anyone’s ever asked for his opinion on anything.
Some sympathy from one genetically perfect created being to another, eh?
And true – if you go renegade when Grunt is woken up, he mentions that the tank never asked what he wanted. That’s his whole complex, in fact.
Normandy
-Zaeed’s an ass. I enjoy his company, right up until I want to punch him in the face. Or blow it off.
Latest story is his team had trouble with a gun nest. So someone (Zaeed?) grabbed a local girl, strapped grenades on her, and sent her to to deal with it. The grenades never went off, but the shooting stopped and they snuck by.
He thinks this is funny. I want to throw a grenade at him.
-Grunt’s essentially a blank slate of a krogan when you wake him up. Surprise, surprise, they default to violence.
His major issue is that he’s at loose ends. Okeer’s imprint didn’t take, so he has no reason for existing. He has no connections, he has no wants.
So the solution is to just kill things until he finds one, apparently.
-If you don’t go upper left paragon, you must shoot Grunt to make him stand down. Renegade interrupt, renegade dialogue option, neutral dialogue option – that just changes the wording a bit.
-If you go upper left paragon, you talk him down by offering a place and strong enemies.
This is most notable in that Shepard speaks like a krogan would. Good for them.
-No matter what, he says he’d eventually like to pit his clan against Shepard.
Potentially worrying foreshadowing there, if Wreave is the Urdnot clan leader. Maybe Grunt can kill him and take over.

Idk if you want a story idea or ask for the ladies, so imma put both on here and you do whichever one you want!
For a story idea how about Liara being rolled by cerberous but gets stuck so gets some time with Annabelle and/or Miranda?
For Liara. How does it feel to basically be the benchmark for Miranda and her plans for the Asari?
Liara jumped, her entire body sloshing. Being as round as she was tall (12 ft sitting down) The chubby face, sunkeny into a divot of neck fat could hardly see her asker. The massive round orb of fat shuddered and the massive tummy churned in distress. Liara's smooth blue skin was so filled with soft plush fat, she was literally spherical, her arms and hands sunken deep into divots where they couldn't move, her fat ass the only think keeping her from rolling away, or rolling forward onto her massive, gigantic 2000 lb tits.
Simply put: The Asari jumped because she didn't hear anyone come in, and couldn't see her asker around her fat, rotund form and her tits like small space craft. "Oh I don't...I don't think Miranda has anything malicious planned for the rest of the Asari, not...not to this degree she said this was a chemical reaction." Liara didn't know, to be honest. It had been so long since she'd left the room. "I think the fattest asari on record behind me is 1200 lbs almost a tenth my weight. Maybe two tenths?" Her body, her muscles, her bones her organs, floated in a pool, like a cork in a round squishy sea truth be told she had several feet of pure fat she was sitting on. "Though It would be quite something to see other Asari get this big, Miranda says I'm special she said...oh what's the word, she likes to use those very naughty words." She furrowed her brow. Machines, linked to her cereberal implant whirred laser guidance systems driven by facial recognition software pinpointed her lips, and eased the "distressed" Asari mountain with soft, nutritious vanilla pudding, poking into her mouth and pouring several gallons down her throat, you were left with a thunderous, pounding gulp, the room echoing with gurgles. When her seritonine and dopamine levels had returned to "normal" (near orgasmic state) The feeding nozzle's arm ripped from her lips with a loud pop, and she moaned craning her neck as best she could to chase it. "Uhhhnnggggg. She says..." Liara tries to think through the mounting pleasure in her body. "Miranda says...I'm uniquely ravenous among Asari. That I'm simply born to just" The Asari flushed, and swallowed hard. The Nozzle whirred on it's motors threatening to pump her full of happy making sugar again. "She says it's like I was born to be fattened up."
There was an almighty rumble, and the floor numbed your legs. It had begun to vibrate. "Subject 3 is ready to ejaculate." Came the calm, robotic voice of a man. "All personal evacuate, step back, or put on required protective equipment. Repeat Subject 3 is being masturbated, please leave, reach a safe distance, or don your Cerberus issued parka's, wadders and splash masks." Liara could no longer answer, the floor felt red hot as it vibrated trying to stimulate Liara. Liara Moaned, and whimpered, and whined, and moaned again. "P-Please....nngggg N-n-no more questions FFUUUCCK!"

Imma distract myself right quick from....things, and post this re8 hot take: Alcina Dimitrescu was the worst of the four lords and got what she deserved.
Hear me out: her rage was justified over the death of her children, but...as much as I love fan interpretations of her and her daughters that depict a loving, healthy relationship, it seems to me that her love for them was vain and selfish. She is obsessed with her nobility and all its trappings, so much so that when all three daughters are killed, she vocalizes her fear for the bloodline, first and foremost (which is odd, given none of the three are her biological children). She's practically cosplaying, and her daughters are set pieces.
More than that, she did not prepare them for the real world. She encouraged them to 'hunt' hapless staff and to take pride in their huntings despite the odds being stacked in their favor. The girls' egos were bloated, and Alcina allowed it out of a vicarious sense of accomplishment. They were captive animals hunting chickens, unprepared for when a fox got into their enclosure. If Alcina had invested any kind of effort in protecting them against the cold, something I'm sure Miranda could have figured out, they might have stood a chance against Ethan. But I think Alcina was content with this weakness because it cloistered them, so they could never be anything other than present and "obedient".
Not to mention, I just can't get over the dungeon, ya know? You don't need to torture people to that extent to drain them of blood. Its specifically malicious in a way that you just don't see in the other lords. And calling Heisenberg "riff-raff" because...what, his family was nouveau riche? Gross classism throughout.
I think all of the lords failed to do the right thing given their circumstances, but none more than Alcina. I just stan her the least, that's all.

Alright current update:
Fuck Cerberus. I don't give a damn that they brought my Shep back, I hate Miranda.
Miranda pisses me off and I don't think she'll grow on me much. The way I am, I don't excuse what I saw while taking out Cerberus bases in ME1. I don't excuse unethical science.
Logically, I recognize and understand that unethical sciences are, unfortunately or otherwise, the basis behind all "ethical" sciences we have now, true in both reality and fiction.
Despite that, it doesn't excuse harming innocent people. And that's what Cerberus seems to be good at- hurting others.
And on the topic of Miranda's character, she's attitude-y and bitchy in a way that I've never been fond of.
I am glad I saved as much of the Normandy's crew as I could. I do like Alenko and Joker is a sweetheart.
I'm excited to see where this goes. But really, I'm even more excited to see how much malicious compliance I can enact to stay Paragon while also ruining the lives of those who piss me off
And hey, if I get to punch people to death and keep killing a few reapers while I'm at it, why complain?

mmmm conflicted..... since its leap day it IS miranda's canonical birthday and i'd like to post something for that, but also long-time followers of my blog will know that i have Lore around miranda's birthday that means i had to decide on a day before the devs revealed what it was, and i will remain spreading that misinformation for the second date being miranda's birthday (because i'm malicious)

I saw Canadian AU is back - do you have more to share? *sits with interest* 8D
It's just been festering in my brain.
I'be been thinking (a little) on how I can impliment some of the others into this, cause it's really just the Dimitrescus and their S/Os
I think Miranda should be Bela's skating coach. She's stuck up, and bitchy, and probably pushes a little hard, but she always insists she just wants to make Bela better. She's not quite as malicious, but she's still clearly... not a great person.
Heis would be great for a hockey coach. He's harsh but fair, even if one of his nieces is on the team. Plus, he gets to see people shove each other around. What's not fun about violence?
Haven't figured anything for Moreau yet, though. Maybe just the girls' overly supportive uncle. He always brings them and Alcina coffee during games.
I desperately want Marguerite to coach Ringette, and Zoe is like.. another player on the team or something.
Ethan and Mia co parent Rose, but I do think they're still divorced.

Lin Manuel Miranda really looked at the founding of this place and related the most to a wannabe kingmaking, social climbing, malicious gossiping, lying ass, dirty laundry airing, cuckolding adulterer.
