Story - summarized
Queen Erika searches tirelessly for the missing magic stones. As she searches one day, she reminisces on her life with her twin, Erinka.
The two were close as sisters and would do everything together. They walked by Mount Noddley one day when they discovered two magic stones, one red and one white. Each girl took a stone and made a wish. Later that day, they encountered a crossroads leading to two different kingdoms. Erika herself went to the kingdom with the White Castle and was lauded for her poetry and creative mind.
Still, the sisters visited each other when they could. With their stones, every Starsnow was imbued with extra magic, and the citizens would sing and dance to praise the queens. Everything was wonderful.
Until one year when Erika got a premonition of danger at Mount Noddley. Normally, she would meet Erinka at the spring at the mountain to clean their stones together for Starsnow’s arrival. But she worried for her sister’s well-being and tried to cancel. Erinka showed up at White Castle instead, demanding to go to the spring and not worry.
The sisters argued for a bit - then Erinka, without thinking, insulted her little sister’s poetry. The one thing she loved to do.
Heartbroken, Erika ran to her room and refused to see her sister. Erinka stood in the hall shouting for her sister to come out. It was only when her sister’s voice finally stops that Erika checked outside her room.
The red stone was still there, but her sister was gone, and so was her favorite deer.
Worried, she checked her crystal ball and saw the deer trapped in an avalanche, her sister on her way there. With no other option, Erika used magic to teleport herself and the magic stones to where her sister was.
Erinka interrupted her and told her to save the deer. They worked together and rescued the little deer. But their celebration was cut short when they realized that the magic stones got misplaced in the snowy rescue.
Erika wanted to take time to mull things over and find clues, but Erinka impatiently blamed her little sister for losing the stones. As they made their way back to their kingdoms, neither sister wanted to admit fault first. The two kingdoms were at odds until either one queen budged or they found the stones.
And with the arrival of Modric, Nikki, and their friends, they just might get the stones back.
Connections
-The ending to this Reflection goes directly into the lore for the hell event: Nikki’s friends are scattered, with half in White Castle and half in Red Castle.
-Erika and Erinka aren’t the only ones with stones tied to magic; Krista cries tears of crystal in Diamond Teardrop. The tears can’t harm anyone.
Fun Facts
-You learn in the hell event that the red and white stones are actually parts of a magnet.
-Erinka might rag on her sister too hard, but Erika is the only one actively looking for the stones.

“A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. And I do it with style.”
Some more pieces, found at least 6 even though there wasn’t much else to look for considering that most of the rest was hiding in surprisingly enough in a walkable section of the little mirror that I had already created. Though, that one is quite complicated. It gives a nice walk, but it also during it gives a loop of at least one to two pieces every 13 minutes or so. Regardless, there’s not exactly a single piece of information that it’s missing which it would already contain or know. Of course, still complicated enough that it gives every pile of items as an answer every 10 or so minutes. Regardless of that, it definitely should still be useful. Ontop of that, it may be excited at the most since it’s willing to spit out at least 11 or so varieties, well more than. But this time 6 is not the min of a piece, it’s biding the time to give at least every other hour or so. Regardless, it needed a bit of a repair at some point, but it still should function properly. It may be spitting out at least 5 or more volumes of answers, in the same block of possibilities as the first two answers were presented, but at least it still knows to give more than one cleanable-up answer. Of course, there’s if it doesn’t give something right away then, it’s probably resting. Of course, it isn’t the most optimal way of doing anything, but it’s still the most efficient and effective that should be able to make its own way to reality.

Chapter 51
I took my Team back to Pern. We go to Pern once a week and spend a week there so I can take care of my hold and get away from fighting monsters. I also take Welf with us, because he has been using the Lab to forge weapons, shields and armor. I take anyone else from the Familia that wants to go as well.
Soon after arriving back on Pern, I headed to the lab to see if Mercedes was there. 'Like she's going to be anywhere else.' I think to myself with a chuckle.
"Hi, Mercedes. I have a project for you." I told her.
"What do you need?" Mercedes asked me.
I handed Mercedes several magic stones. "I want you to make micro cameras and TVs like they use on Remnant. I want to be able to wear the camera in the Dungeon and it broadcast the images to the TV on the surface. I'm going to use the PDs to link the signals together." I told Mercedes.
"First it was Dust from Remnant and now you want me to work with magic stones from Orario. What next?" Mercedes asked me.
I chuckled. "I know you like a challenge. You can use another power source if you want to, as long as it works on the 'lower world'." I suggested.
"How long before you want it and how many?"
"If you can have the first ones ready by the time, I go back to Orario that would be great. And I would like two cameras and two TVs sets to start with. If they work well and are received well, I'll need a lot more so I can sell them at our store in Orario." I informed Mercedes.
"I should be able to get you two cameras and two TV sets by the end of the week." Mercedes informed me and turned to start working on her new project.
I walked up behind Mercedes and put my arms around her and gave her a hug and leaned around and kissed her on the cheek. "Thank you, Mercedes. I appreciate it." I told her.
Mercedes put her hands down on my arms and hands for a few moments then she starts reaching for pieces of equipment. "Leave me alone so I can get to work." She chided me.
I chuckled again. "I'll leave you to it then. Love you." I said as I took my arms from around her and turned to leave the lab.
I heard a soft. "I love you, too."
I stopped and turned around looking back into the Lab. "Hello Welf. I see you got right to work." I said as Welf was working on a sword.
"Hi, Eilwyn. No time to waist. I only have a week to get enough weapons and armor to sell in the store." Welf said with his usual cheeky grin and a laugh.
I chuckled. "I'll let you get to it then. Just don't forget to take some breaks and get something to eat. The Cafe and The Bakery are open twenty-four hours. So, there is no excuse to not get something to eat. And that goes for you too, Mercedes." I said then left the Lab so they both could work on their projects.
Once Mercedes gets into the 'zone' she can get cranky when someone interrupts her. So, I'll leave her to work on the TV project for a few days before I check up on how she is coming along with it.
As for Welf, he has agreed to my suggestion of putting Dust into some of his weapons. He charges more valis for them because they do extra damage because of the Dust. Yet they don't crumble after being used a few times like 'Magic' weapons do. The Dust weapons are a good middle alternative for adventurers, extra damage without the high price tag of magic weapons.
==========
With Landing open to everyone, it is picking up. More people are moving to Landing to help excavate the many building that still need to be uncovered. Many people are coming to learn from AVIAS about many different subjects. From mining, glass making, agriculture to animal husbandry, as well as many new subjects.
Our shops at The Market are doing well, and the craft halls that have set up shops there are starting to get customers.
I've spent several hours talking to AVIAS about those taking some of the classes. I want to find out who might be good to bring to my Hold. I don't want someone that is just good in book learning, I want someone that is good at the practical experience as well. Along with being friendly and not snobbish, like some in the healer's hall can be, just because they are healers, they think they are better than everyone else.
I spent a couple days at our shops at The Market. I wanted to see how things were going and how the people of Pern were reacting to the new shopping center.
==========
I waited five days before I checked up on Mercedes and how the cameras and TVs were coming along.
"I have two cameras and one TV so far. I should have the second TV finished by the end of the day. Fortunately, the magic stones work almost like the Dust crystals work, so I didn't have to do much to adapt them for use." Mercedes told me.
"That's good. I want to test them out shortly after we get back to Orario. I'll let you know how they work out." I informed Mercedes.
Mercedes nodded her head in understanding. "I designed the cameras so you can either put them into a head band or strapped on the chest." She added.
"Both locations have good points and bad points. On a head band, the viewers will have a better view, but if the person wearing the camera starts moving their head around fairly quickly, the viewers will get dizzy. But if the camera is on the chest, the arms of the person wearing the camera will get in the way. So, we'll have to see which works better." I offered my ideas.
"I just make them. It's up to you to make them work properly." Mercedes told me and giggled.
"Ha-ha-ha." I fake laughed. "That is why I'm going to test them out. One person can wear the camera on a head band and another person can wear it on their chest. Whichever one has a better picture and view will be the way we go." I told Mercedes.
Mercedes instructed me on how the cameras and TVs work. "I didn't have time to put in a zoom lens, so I put in a 40 mm lens for now. It is wide enough so the viewers will see a lot of the Dungeon but anything in the distance will be difficult to see." Mercedes informed me.
I nodded my head in understanding. "That's not a problem. My main reason for having them is so Hestia and Eina can see what is happening in the Dungeon. Hestia can send Osma into the dungeon with Bell's party or mine, but I think it would be easier this way. Osma won't have to relay messages back and forth. I know she gets tired of doing that. Along with hearing Hestia screaming when a big monster shows up." I told Mercedes and chuckled.
"I'll let you get back to work on the last TV." I said, I gave Mercedes a kiss on the cheek and left her to finish up.
The next day I picked up the cameras and TV boxes. The TVs are like a lot of the TVs they us on Remnant. They are a rectangle box that projects the image into the air directly above the box. You can see through the image. The way the image looks is kind of like looking at a magic mirror the 'gods' can make to see what the 'children' are doing.
"Could you make ten more of the cameras and monitors?" I asked Mercedes. "If they go over well, I want to have enough to start selling right away. I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but just in case. Make sure each camera-TV pair are on a different wavelength than any of the others. Don't want one Familia getting the signal from a different Familia in the Dungeon." I reminded Mercedes.
"Ten more sets, and yes I know, each pair is to be set to a different frequency." She replied.
"Thank you, Mercedes."
While I was picking up the cameras and TVs, I stopped to talk to Welf. "I would suggest you take a break tomorrow and get some rest." I suggested to Welf.
"I still have lots to do." Welf told me.
"Welf, you need to take a day off. Besides with the store just being opened, I'm sure we're not going to be flooded with customers the first week." I told him.
"Your right. I just don't like doing things halfway." Welf replied.
"If we need more weapons or armor, I'll bring you back in the middle of the week. How does that sound?" I offered.
Welf nodded his head in agreement. "Yah, that'll work."
I grinned. "So, tomorrow you take a break, and, in the evening, I'll take us back to Hearthstone Manor."
"That sounds good. Now get out of here so I can finish up what I'm working on." Welf chided me with his usual cheeky grin.
I chuckled and left Welf to finish up what he was working on.
==========
Back in Orario
Tiama and I walked into the Guild Hall on Northwest Main Street. Seeing Eina I walked over to the counter where she was standing. Tiama was in her human form.
"Morning Eina." I said in greeting.
Eina smiled. "God morning Eilwyn." She replied and looked around as if she was trying to see around me.
I looked around me. No one was close to me. I turned back to Eina. "My Team is in the Dungeon." I told Eina.
Eina looked surprised. "Oh, they went into the Dungeon without you?" She asked.
I nodded my head in agreement. "Yes, they did. I sent them down to the 18th floor." I told her.
"Why didn't you go with them?" Eina asked as Misha walked up beside Eina. "Morning Misha.
"Hello." Misha replied.
I placed the TV box on the counter.
"I sent them into the Dungeon so we could show you something." I informed Eina and Misha.
Both Eina and Misha looked at the box with confused excretions on their faces. "Why would you send your Team into the Dungeon to show me something?" Eina quarried.
[Ready?] I sent to Rosni.
[When every you are.] Rosni replied.
A red light blinked on, on the box.
"When you see that red light come on," I pointed to the light. "Just push this button." I pointed to a button and then pushed it.
When I pushed the button lights came on projecting a screen or picture over the box. The picture showed Iris, Cindy and Kimmy standing side by side with a forest behind them. All three were waving and smiling.
"What's this!?" Misha exclaimed waving at the projection.
I chuckled. "They can't see you." I told Misha.
"Oh!" Misha said and dropped her hand blushing.
"That's okay. I've waved at the TV screen, knowing the people on the other end couldn't see me. It is called a Television or a TV for short. Rosni has a camera, which takes the moving picture you see and sends that picture to the TV set here." I told her.
"My Team is on the 18th floor so you can see what it looks like." I said.
"Your Team in on the 18th floor and we can see them?" Eina asked shocked and surprised.
As Eina, Misha and I were talking. Rosni and my Team were moving around. You could see monsters flying in the distance.
"Are those monsters!?" Eina yelled.
I chuckled. "Yes, those are monsters. The 18th floor is a safe zone because no monsters spawn there, as you know. But monsters come up from the 19th and 20th floors." I reminded them.
"Where are they going?" Eina asked.
Before I could answer a male Chienthrope walked up.
"What are you two doing?" He asked Eina and Misha. It was Eina and Misha's superior, Rehmer.
"They are watching my Team down in the Dungeon." I told Rehmer.
"That's Rivira." Iris said on the TV with the entrance to Rivira in the distance. Then the picture panned to the Great Tree with the passage to the 19th floor at its base. "And that is the tunnel to the 19th floor." She said. Iris was holding her hand out to the side with her palms up with a big smile on her face, like she was showing a prize on a game show.
"What's that?" Rehmer asked me.
I chuckled. "I was just telling Eina and Misha that. This," I pointed to the TV box. "Is a Television, or TV for short. It receives a signal from the camera, which Rosni is holding. What you are seeing now is the 18th floor. Shortly they are going to head on down to the 19th floor.
On the projection screen you could see Cindy walking along and Iris skipping along beside her.
"Where is Kimmy?" Eina asked.
"Cindy and Iris are the vanguard, Rosni is in the middle and Kimmy is taking up rear guard." I replied. "Because Kimmy isn't in front of the camera you can't see her. You can only see what the camera is pointed at." I told them.
"Where did this come from? I have never heard of anything like this before." Rehmer asked me.
"It's something I came up with." I lied. I wasn't going to try to explain about Mercedes making it in the Lab back on Pern. It wasn't quite a lie; I did come up with the idea to make the camera and TV using magic stones to power them. But the TV design is from Remnant while the camera is a body camera design from Earth, and Mercedes made them on Pern.
Shortly the girls walked down the stairs to the 19th floor. Three Lizardmen and two Battle Boars appeared in front of the group.
Eina and Misha jumped and screamed at seeing the monsters.
I chuckled. "We see monsters like that all the time, down there." I said to the room in general.
"Aren't you worried that they might get hurt?" Misha asked.
"Any time we go into the Dungeon there is a chance one or all of us will get hurt." I said, although I left out that fact that there is nothing in the Dungeon that can hurt me. Or that there is not much that could hurt Cindy or Kimmy. I also left out that they all have regeneration so if they did happen to get hurt, they would heal up extremely quickly.
We could see Cindy bringing her two Gossip Yuanyang Tomahawks, Chhaya and Uisce, up to attack one of the Lizardmen. She ran towards the Lizardman head on. It looked almost like a mouse running towards a human because of Cindy's small size. The Lizardman swung a landform club at Cindy. Cindy dodged the club, using her momentum, Cindy jumped into the air spinning in mid-air with her arms extended. Chhaya and Uisce clutched in either hand. Cindy struck the Lizardman with Chhaya across the abdomen and as she spun and went higher into the air, Uisce struck the lizardman across its neck. Cindy flew up and over the Lizardman as it went up in a cloud of ash and smoke.
The room was silent. Eina and Misha just stared at the image of Cindy on the projection-screen.
"I like this. It gives me a chance to see how they fight. I'm usually fighting and don't have time to see how they fight in the Dungeon. I'll have to work with Cindy some. She kept dropping and twisting her left hand as she fought." I said nodding my head.
"That's all you can say!?" Eina almost yelled. "She's so small. That monster came close to killing her." She finished, staring daggers at me.
I chuckled. "Cindy is small but she's far from weak. Besides she didn't even come close to being killed. It's just that with her reach, she has to be close to the monsters to use her weapons." I explained.
Kimmy had already started fighting one of the Battle Boars. The Battle Boar was running towards Kimmy. Kimmy lifted Trydan her Pole Axe and started running straight towards the Battle boar. It almost looked like two freight trains on the same track heading towards each other head on.
"YYYAAAAA!" Misha screamed. "The monster's going to run her over!"
I chuckled again. "Not likely. I've seen her do this before." I explained.
Right before Kimmy and the Battle Boar collided head on. Kimmy dodged to the side, bringing Trydan up and slashing the Battle Boar along its side.
The Battle boar dropped onto its side, sliding and rolling from its momentum. Kimmy took the opening and cut the Battle Boar's head off. A moment later the Battle Boar went up is a cloud of smoke and ash.
Misha had her hand over her heart while she staired at the TV screen. "She did it. She moved so fast and just moved out of the way and killed the monster." Misha proclaimed.
By this time several of the Guild workers were watching the battle along with many Adventurers that had come into the Guild for one reason or another. All had their eyes glued to the TV screen watching the battle.
"She moved so fast." "She can really fight." "What level are they?" "What floor are they on?" Were some of the things said and asked from the Adventurers that had stopped to see what was going on.
The other monsters were dispatched just a quickly.
I reached over and pushed the off button. "What do you think?" I asked.
Misha was still looking at where the screen had been, her face was pale.
Eina wasn't much better. Her face being almost as pale as Misha's after seeing my Team fight monsters in the Dungeon. "That was real? They really fought those monsters and killed them?" Eina asked.
I nodded my head in agreement. "Yes, they just killed all those monsters on the nineteenth floor." I replied.
I looked over at Taima. Taima looked back at me and nodded her head. A moment later Taima walked out of the Guild Hall. I had sent Taima to the Dungeon to port my Team back to the first floor of the Dungeon.
I looked around the Guild Hall. "These are going to be for sale at the Hestia Familia store off of Southwest Main Street. They are 50,000 valis for one TV monitor like you saw here and one camera, which is what is needed to send the picture from the Dungeon to the TV monitor." I announced to everyone in the Guild Hall.
I picked up the TV box. "See y'all later." I told Eina and Misha; I gave them a small bow and left the Guild Hall.
I put the TV into my closet PD and walked towards Babel Tower to meet up with my Team.
"What did they think?" Iris asked after we met up.
I chuckled. "Well, Eina and Misha went pale at seeing y'all fighting monsters in the Dungeon. But the adventurers in the Guild Hall seemed to like it. I announced the TV's and cameras would be for sale at the Hestia Familia Store. So, we'll see what happens." I replied.
"Poor Eina and Misha. Seeing what it's really like in the Dungeon like that." Kimmy said.
"They have seen a monster or two on the surface, but yes, it was a shock to them." I replied.
We stopped by the Hestia Familia Store and gave Miach, Nahza, Daphnie and Cassandra a demonstration of how the TV and camera work.
Take' was at the Blue Pharmacy talking to Miach. So, he was able to see how the camera and TV works as well.
"Take', since you don't have much to do most days with your Familia in the Dungeon. What would you think of working part time here at the store. You could earn a little money while killing time." I offered. "It would give you that much more money to send back to the temple back home." I added a little incentive to the offer.
"I do not know anything about selling." Take' admitted.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Doesn't really matter. Hestia and I can help you out. You already know about weapons. There's not much more you need to know about selling weapons. And the furniture, fireplace supplies and other home furnishings pretty much sell themselves. So, you should be able to make sales. Think about it and let us know." I replied.
"I will think about it. Thank you." Take' told me.

A big part of the world I'm building for the probably-a-comic project thing is the magic in it, where to do any kind of directed magic you require a focus stone made from an element stone - so I went about designing what he raw and refined versions of those often look like and to help me keep them straight in my head. Air, Storm and Cold - almost universally found in the northern mountinous regions. Light and Fire - found in the southern continant, in either the voncanic mountain or on the sands of the Glimmering Desert. Water and Deep - found in the oceans, watern in seabeds and deep at the bottom of underwater casms, but has also been found in incredibly deep land mines. Flora - is found in the large sprawling forests across the main continant. Earth - was once a rare element as it was only found in caves, but as mining advanced it can be discovered on almost any landmas. Prismatic - is the rarest and has only ever been found in tiny deposits. Prismatic stones are raw magic and hightly saught after.
I have an essay of info on the magic, how it incorporates into the world and more details on each element on my patreon, which the post will be public by now. a link to that if you're interested in all the details is here.

Chapter 5: A Song of Red and White
Narrated by no one.
Narrator: The two queens have been at odds with each other for many years; the residents of both cities believe that their queen cannot be the first to apologize.
White Castle Resident: The noble, responsible Queen Erika ponders every rhyme 10 times over. How could a meticulous mind such as that lose the precious magic stones?
Red Castle Resident: The White Queens procrastination notwithstanding, she couldn’t even watch over two magic stones, and now she refuses to take responsibility? That’s a far cry below Queen Erinka!
Narrator: The Red Queen insists on the White Queen admitting to her mistake, saying that if she apologized, she wouldn’t hold it against her.
Narrator: But the White Queen believes that there’s more to the story of the missing stones. She has not stopped looking for them, to prove her innocence.
Narrator: Only the flying deer served as a messenger, traveling between Red Castle and White Castle to pass letters between the sisters.
Narrator: Strictly speaking, delivering letters from the Red Queen.
Erinka: Go. Tell her there’s no use running, and to own up to losing the stones.
Narrator: The letters are stacked in a large pile, sealed with bright red wax, and placed in the obedient deer’s messenger bag.
Narrator: The deer sets off, flies over the river and onto the opposite bank. Pigeons fly into the sky, waltzing with the falling snow.
Narrator: A snowflake-covered window opens. The White Queen slowly walks towards the terrace as if she has been waiting a long time.
Narrator: The deer leaps in the air, lands on the terrace, nuzzles the queen, and leans into her hand to eat the cookies she’s made.
Erika: I know she asked you... to urge me to reply, right? She must still be... angry with me...
Narrator: The angry letters the Red Queen has sent over the years fill a whole room, but the White Queen still has no idea how to reply.
Erika: This is harder than any poem. I can’t... admit to a mistake I didn’t make, but I also... don’t want this to go on...
Narrator: The White Queen pets the deer and puts several packets of acerola tea collected from the snowy mountains in its parcel.
Erika: This isn’t a reply, but please... bring her this sobering tea. If she dances while drunk... she could fall and hurt herself.
Narrator: The White Queen looks at the distant spire of Red Castle. Under the high red dome are endless passionate balls and lights, just like before.
Erika: It’s been so long... since I’ve gone to a ball with Erinka...
Narrator: The melodious sound of a violin comes from a balcony below. A young person with gray hair is playing and greets the Queen.
Narrator: This musician, Modric, comes from afar and could actually play the Starsnow ballad the sisters have heard long ago.
Narrator: His adagio sounds like footprints in the snow, and allegro like a bell ringing in a shop window. Her lost memories return...
Erinka: Light the candle and wake up the quiet night. As your skirt turns, quietly close his eyes and pray his wish comes true...
Erika: Embrace the traveling snowflakes and collect winter’s warmth. I prayed, and he came by my side and promised to stay forever...
Narrator: His singing is purer than the snow, and his smile is warmer than candlelight. With both, the queen recalls the promises and the wishes she made with her sister.
Narrator: When will the two castles’ lanterns light up again, and when will the two sisters sing this song together for a real Starsnow?

“You can’t manipulate a master manipulator, darling. I wrote the book.”
Above is four small pieces, one being the red entirely & the others being with a background. Anyway, these four are mainly all year or some of them are Winter. However, the maliochrome ones are pretty much the way to go for a Summer or deep Spring, early Winter. It’s complicated, but there’s a sense of balance with the maliochromes in color & in magic, however the non-malio ones are more intense.

Feldon of the Third Path is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of storytelling in Magic: The Gathering.
Tumblr media
Every part of this card comes together to tell you Feldon's story without ever overtly saying anything.
The art depicts him as a sturdy man, used to labor, and the workshop around him supports that. His hair is dark, but his beard is gray. He's getting older, but there's life in him yet. He gazes intensely at at the machined face of an automaton's head.
His ability doesn't do anything so gauche as bringing a card back from the graveyard. No, he targets a card in the graveyard -- someone, something that has died -- and and creates a copy, a facsimile, that's an artifact in addition to whatever it was before. But his creation is imperfect. It doesn't last. At the end of the turn, you sacrifice the copy. Greater magics than what Feldon posseses are required to make it stay more than a moment.
And then the flavor text. "She will come back to me." Powerful. Defiant. Sorrowful. Broken? Who can say, we haven't heard Feldon himself speak the words. But he lost someone, and he is determined, driven to bring her back the only way he knows how.
We're never told what the first two paths are, even if we can assume, but Feldon very clearly indicates what the Third Path is.

"Hey Bell, are you busy?" I asked.
Bell looked up at me. "No, not really. Do you need something?"
"As you know I'm planning on being an adventurer as well as Iris, Cindy and Kimmy. So, I thought it would be a good idea go to the guild and get registered and get a dungeon advisor. I've heard you talk about Eina, and I thought it would be a good to see if we could get her as our advisor. So, if you're not busy we could go in now." I informed Bell.
"Yes, Eina is my dungeon advisor, but I don't know if she would be yours. They have several dungeon advisors, which means you could get a different one than Eina." Bell responded.
I nodded my head in understanding. I understand that. I just thought I'd try to get her for my Team's advisor. If not, we'll make do." I told Bell.
"I am free right now, so we could go. Is Miss Iris, Miss Cindy and Miss Kimmy going to go with us?" Bell asked.
"Since they're going to be adventurers too, it would make since for them to go and at least learn what they need to do and who their advisor will be." I told him.
I stood up and went to get the girls. A few minutes later we were walking along the street to the Guild Hall. All of our Companions were in animal form. Taima is in her wolf form walking beside me. Cindy's, Zala, is in her Eagle form perched on Cindy's shoulder. Iris's, Waiola is in wolf form walking beside Iris and Kimmy's, Rosey, is also in her wolf form. I'm sure we were quite a sight with all our Companions trotting along beside each of us.
Twenty minutes later, we were walking into the Guild Hall.
Bell led us up to the counter. "Miss Eina, these are new members in the Hestia Familia, and they want to be Adventurers." Bell told Eina.
I stepped up to the counter. "I'm Eilwyn, and this is Pakima," I said pointing to Kimmy, then I pointed to Cindy. "That's Cinnamon and that's Iris." I continued as I pointed at Iris. "And Bell speaks highly of you, so we were hoping you could be our Dungeon Advisor." I told Eina.
Eina looked at Bell then turned to me. "It's nice that Bell thinks so highly of me." Eina said with a slight blush on her face. "I'll have to see if I have available spaces for you and your friends. While I'm doing that, you can fill out these papers so we can get you on the books as adventurers." Eina said handing me some papers. "Do any of you need weapons or armor?" She asked us.
I shook my head, no. "We all have all the armor and weapons we need for now. Thank you." I replied. "While you're checking to see if you can be our advisor, we'll go fill out the papers." I told Eina. I motioned the girls to follow me. We went and sat at one of the booths they had set up.
The papers we had to fill out were fairly simple. Name, date of birth, your Familia, that kind of thing. Just enough information so they knew who you are mainly. It only took us a couple minutes to fill the papers out. I took the papers up to the counter to give to Eina.
Eina looked the papers over. "These look good, but is Cinnamon Sky strong enough to fight monsters?" Eina asked me while looking over at Cindy.
I chuckled. "She's a lot stronger than she looks." I told Eina.
Eina nodded her head and said. "Hmmm, that's good. Okay, we'll get you on the books and it looks like I can be your Dungeon Advisor. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me anything."
"Bell said you teach classes about the dungeon. I'm not sure if my Teammates would want to take your classes, but I'd like to take them, since I haven't been in the dungeon before. I'm sure it would be a good idea to learn about it." I told Eina.
"Oh, yes, I do teach a class about the dungeon. I don't have any students right now so I can start your class as soon as you want." Eina told me, and I could tell she was excited about me taking her class.
"Would this evening be too soon?" I asked.
Eina's eyes lit up. "This evening would be good for me. Meet me here at six o'clock then. I'll look forward to seeing you."
I went to the Guild Hall at 6 to meet Eina. When Eina was teaching, she was almost a slave driver. She wants perfection from her students. I can understand why, she wants her students to know as much as possible about the dungeon, so they have a better chance of surviving. But she pushed her students to hard.
At the end of our second class. "Miss Eina." I use Miss Eina when I talk to her in class. Outside of class I just call her Eina.
"Yes Eilwyn, do you have a question?" Eina asked me.
I shook my head in the negative. "No, I have an observation. I understand you want your students to know as much as possible. But you are expecting perfection from your students and that is not going to happen. You push them beyond what they can handle. That is why most drop out of your classes. If you slowed down how much you teach each class and quit expecting them to know 100% of everything you teach, it would be easier on them, and more would stay in class to the end." I informed her.
Eina stared at me for a moment. "But I want them to know as much as possible, so they are more likely to survive the dungeon." She told me.
I nodded my head in understanding. "I understand that, but no one will be able to remember what you teach perfectly. Thus, if you push them to hard and they drop out they will know even less than if they stayed in your class and only remembers 80% of what you taught. Plus, only teach classes two or three nights a week. That gives your students more time in the evening for themselves and family and it also gives 'you' more time in the evening for spend time with your friends." I suggested.
"I understand what you're telling me and I'll try to ease up on my students. But you have been getting 100% all the time." Eina said.
I chuckled. "True, but I have a perfect memory. Anything I see, read, hear, do, etc. I remember perfectly. So, your classes are easy for me." I informed Eina. "That's why I'm able to draw the maps so well." I said and chuckled.
"Oh, wow. I've never heard of anyone with that kind of memory before. It must be wonderful to remember anything you want." Eina told me.
"It is nice but it can also be a burden. Think of something bad like the death of a loved one. With this kind of memory you remember the pain of their death like it happens new every time you think about it. The pain does not fade over time becasue you remember it like it just happened everytime you think about that person." I informed her.
Eina looked thoughtful. "Yes, I can see how it could be bad to have that good of a memory." Eina said frowning.
