For CANON clarification purposes...it's not a leap for anyone to feel like Buck should have been there with Eddie and Christopher while they prepared for and Christopher attended his first school dance since it was a major milestone in Christopher's life. Especially since Eddie was the one who has and continues to put Buck in that co-parent role. Also Buck and Christopher have their own father/son and/or legal guardian/child relationship that they established during the Tsunami. Here are the reasons:

It was Eddie who took Christopher to Buck's loft in 3x1 before the Tsunami.

It was Eddie who took Christopher back to Buck's loft in 3x3 after the Tsunami and said, "There's nobody in this world I trust with my son more than you".

It was Eddie who yelled at Buck in the grocery store in 3x5 and asked him if he knew how much Christopher missed him.

Christopher asked Buck if he could spend Christmas with him, the same way a child would ask a parent in 3x10.

It was Eddie who talked to Buck in 3x12 about Christopher's skateboarding incident but he didn't talk about it with Carla even though she was there.  Eddie did discuss the conversation he needed to have with Christopher with her but he talked about the actual incident with Buck and they built the adaptable skateboard for Christopher.  Eddie confirmed it in CANON in the LS Crossover episode 2x3 “Hold the Line” during his conversation with Marjan.

It was Eddie who added Buck to his will as Christopher's legal guardian in 3x15 but he didn't tell Buck about it until 4x14.

Christopher ran away to Buck's loft in 4x8 and Buck immediately called Eddie.  Also it was Buck who told Christopher before Eddie arrived that he wasn’t going anywhere.

Both Buck and Eddie responded to Chimney and said, “No!” when Chimney asked a victim’s parents about good cop vs. bad cop parenting.

It was Eddie who told Buck, "You were there for him when I couldn't be, that's what matters" in 4x14.

It was Eddie who said, "But no one will ever fight for my son as hard as you, and that's what I want for him" in 4x14.

It was Eddie who said that Buck takes Christopher to the zoo all the time in 5x2 meaning Buck and Christopher were going there without Eddie.

It was Eddie who talked to Buck about how Christopher wanted the perfect Christmas in 5x10 but he only talked to Carla when he made the decision to quit the 118.

It was Eddie and Buck in Christopher's bedroom in 5x17 discussing Eddie's dynamic with his parents.

It was Eddie who asked Buck if Christopher said anything to him about skipping science club meetings in 6x4.

No one imagined these things and they aren't headcanons. They're actual CANON interactions between the three of them so it's not far-fetched for the audience to expect for the show to continue what THEY STARTED! The show can't have it both ways.

Has OG being on the air had any impact on LS’s ratings & demos in the past? Like does LS do noticeably better or worse when OG has new episodes coming out around the same time?

I’m just curious cause I, as well as some other fans I know, put in more of an effort to keep up with LS cause we want some 911 content to tide us over while waiting for the OG season B break to end but fade off watching LS once OG’s back. Like some people just have the energy to watch one & with an option will pick the OG. And that was with having them back-to-back to make to it easier to just stick around & keep watching.

LS did really well in s2 (the first season it aired right after OG), which was probably due to early hype and the excitement over TV being back after COVID shut everything down. The lowest overall viewership that year was just under 5 million and the lowest 18-49 demo was 0.74. In s3...their three lowest demos up to that point were recorded in the second half, aka when OG was airing new episodes - 3x12 (0.50), 3x13 (0.45), 3x16 (0.51). It did, however, end with a 0.62 rating for the finale. (For the sake of accuracy, I will add that it had no true competition that week. CBS doesn't care about demos for investigative dramas like NCIS and ABC/NBC were airing films instead.) With the demos for s4 already at a low point (not one week has cracked the 0.6 range) I would say that not airing on Mondays is definitely hindering the audience turn out, and I wouldn't be surprised if FOX once again moves it back next season just to see if the numbers change. If they do it'll be a mea culpa on their part for putting it up against other programs (yeah, they're getting the #1 demo, but you can't tell us they don't miss seeing those sixes and sevens instead of fives, lmao). But if there's not a drastic improvement...they've lost their touch. Unfortunately, the network and Tim won't see it that way because (as I keep saying, despite what anons think!) FOX has literally nothing else going for it. Maybe it they could create a scripted series that hits the 0.5 demo it'd be a different discussion, but until then...they'll take every small victory they can get. (Accused, which I haven't gotten around to, started off very strong with a demo over 2 (!) and 8 million viewers, but it's fallen fast over the last three weeks. 911verse remains superior not because it's necessarily *good*, but because the rest of the scripted dramas don't draw people in.)

I just realised that the #Tarlos bed ain’t a king-size and is actually pretty small (especially for American standards)…and this is like sooo them!

Also like: we all totally knew this was canon before the small-bed-evidence but at the same time this takes it like a step further because when Carlos furnished the apartment (with Tk in mind even if they weren’t technically together) he must have looked at bed sizes and bed frames and mattresses and thought: “the king is way too big, we don’t use all that space anyway” or “uh the king is too big TK usually sleeps on me anyways” [YALL l’m sure you get the vibe].

I am in love with them.

Also how do you not see or hear her crushing the pills or opening the capsules or opening a med bottle?? Like..... I get that they're distracted but that's a lot to be that sneaky about. By the gods... It's her! Oh no! Not my babies AGAIN! Do TK and Carlos EVER get a second to breath? Why do all psychos think the power couple is the right target? NO. All they deserve are cuddles and love. They never hurt anyone and still here we are again.... every other episode someone is trying to screw them over. The show writers truly know that we love them don't they? And for the record... I never likes that lady.

you make such a good point-- like there is only one reason why someone's sponsor would be like 'uh so you definitely need to go to a second meeting today and i am coming get you and make sure you go straight there' and yet i really saw someone say they were mad at tk for making carlos feel like a third wheel because cooper came to get him 😭😭😭😭
