I was wondering, what would Macaque looks like if he had long hair in your style?

long hair macaque is growing on me (pun intended)

Things Wukong has definitely said to his kids at some point:

"*child's name* you get that fuzzy little tail of yours back here before I climb up after you!"

"If I have to get up from my meditation you won't like what happens!"

"Now, why would you want to bite your own tail!"

"*screeches in shock* That's it! No more shadow portals in the house! Actually... no more shadow portals in general!"

"Kids, if you're gonna make a mess... at least try to keep it to one room. Please?"

"Don't make me call your other baba! One! Two..."

"*reaches hand out to scruff a kid* Sorry, they missed snack time. I'll be sure to reimburse you for all the food... and the expensive set of dishware..."

No matter the au (im assuming LMK), Wukong is the more authoritive parent. He's a worrier deep down. Macaque is more likely to let the cubs run wild for a bit and since he hears Everything its hard to hide mischief from him. So if Wukong has to call Macaque in, the kids know its *serious*.

So many chaos babies. So few hairs to make clones out of.

I love the idea of a few of the babies inheriting/learning shadow magic from Mac, and Wukong just has to deal with the occassional portal from the kids room-to-fridge.

One of my fave things about monkey parents irl, is that they will grab/hold a baby's tail to stop them from running off to cause mischief. You can see the tired frustration in the mom's eyes. XD

First time the Celestial Realm invites Wukong and his mate to a fancy dinner, they quickly regret it. Mac brought the Eclipse twins and soon the banquet table was a massacre.

So yea, just curious on the opinions of height between our gay monkeys

(imo, and ignoring jttw canon, I like the idea of just wukong, being enlightened and all, technically speaking, is just bigger but damn I do find a small pleasure that without glamors, he's actually a bit shorter

heck, the mountain or furnace might've even stumped his growth a bit and it lets us see a bit of a vulnerable side y'know a bit of imperfection so to speak to our sunny monkey)

I swear to gods Macaques hairstyle in the 2009 monkey king series is a nightmare-- I look at it and I recoil in pain and anger

So ive decided, it looks like that bc its a fucking mess 24/7 with extra leafs added "for style"

I love how much theyre actual kids in the 2009 adaptation, its so fun watching them mess around

Tho I must say I am guilty of not watching the entire series,,,, I stopped around episode 6 and just couldn't go through with the rest. Maybe ill watch more episodes after this who know

That's not forgetting the fact MK was also in big trouble.

Our powers are gone, we're being chased across all of China and beyond while our home is a literal icicle, and the Lady Bone Demon has Ringu Jingu Bang! How is this protecting us!?

Tang, whispering to MK: Is... is this the famous temper that once gave Sun Wukong the reputation of being capable of cowing even the great Li Jing!?

MK nods mutely: I heard the story. Apparently, I was there, just not born yet.

Small cute headcanon, but I headcanon that Tripitaka had officiated Wukong and Macaque's official wedding in JTTW Stone Egg au

referencing. Hehe I love all of this

Macaque: "Are son was getting into fights!?... did he win?" Wukong: "OF COURSE HE WON! HE'S OUR SON! DON'T CHANGE THE SUBJECT!" The Noodle Shop Gang: (*keeping a safe distance*) Tang, whispering jokingly: "Oh my gosh. Flashback to the Golden Pouch Mountain, am I right?" Nezha, with a thousand-yard stare: "Yeah, Macaque is not in Sun Wukong's good graces at the moment. I stll remember having to hoist him up so that he could look my father in the eye while he screamed." Tang, fascinated: "I... I was just joking but omg. He had you lift him up? Thats so cute!" Nezha: "Yeah, I wasn't about to argue with a hormonal expectant monkey. The only reason that anger wasn't directed at me was because he saw me as a cub to protect. My father crumbled like a stone pillar after the first five minutes." MK, laughing nervously: "I was there! Just an Egg though." The Noodle Shop Gang: (*realising just how old MK is*) "wut"

And oh gosh the legendary "Shouting at General Li Jing for the Rhino King incident". I love the idea of historians jotting that down and forgetting the context of why Sun Wukong was so furious at the Pagoda King.

I feel like Macaque deliberately struck himself out of many records to keep his and MK's presence a secret from mortal eyes and ears. But some people (esp demon historians) still wrote down that the Monkey King had a super-protective-adoring mate during his Journey to the West.

Basically most of Macaque's reunion + MK's reveal to his mom/baba that he's been secretly a superhero is Wukong yelling at them for hours from worry.
