A.) not any specifically! I enjoy most of them :D

B.) The entirety of Monkey King: the animated series! …..probably. She really likes anything Monkey king lmao. But outside of the canon… AND I MIGHT BE A LIKE BIASED… I would think she would like a good drama and romance.. so Bridgerton it is! ((Totally not biased or anything….))

C.) HAHA I love the drama too, so let’s instigate some drama 😈

Nà loves her hiking, right. She is quite experienced from doing it so much, she likes having her time alone away from society. So much so, she also goes out even when the weather isn’t so good to go hiking in. This frustrates the monkeys very much, as she’s seemingly just putting herself in danger voluntarily. Nà often brushes it off, she knows what she’s doing and doesn’t need them telling her she can’t do such thing. Well, yknow, as experienced as she may be, Nà gets into a lil predicament while she’s out hiking in some rain. A slip and fall down the side of a hill = a very dirty and mildly injured Nà. The boys were very very upset with her. As much as they would like for her to have her own autonomy, she makes it very hard not having them breathing down her neck. Nà herself is also frustrated with them, it can be very overwhelming having not one but two overbearing monkeys being overly protective.

I think this issue would be one that is reoccurring, but under different circumstances…

This was an interesting one, got me thinkin about a lil story that might come out through this sort of circumstance

I would think most of the celestials would be very cautious about Wukong. He did cause all those problems for them so long ago, so I’m sure at first a Goddess!Nà would be very careful about encountering this monkey (and his second hand). So….what if she encountered him without knowing it was him…..under the circumstances that she is a goddess that enjoys helping her feathered friends.

And then she goes back to the celestial realm talking about a strange bird she has never seen before… tan in color, strange markings and a very apparent red bushy tail feather (very much reminiscent of a …monkey tail)

Oh man everyone is all up on her case about helping Wukong. I mean how was she supposed to know, she thought she was doing a heavenly duty.

To Wukong, I would think he wouldn’t like the company of the celestials after everything either. He in fact thinks he is still better than them, of course he would never hang out with them all buddy buddy. So when this naive goddess comes to help him, he becomes very interested…

Now this might be very basic but I would love to do my own jttw au, very much influenced by Kiri’s and Semi’s iterations of Wukong. Ofc focusing more on the journey aspect of it, but then it shifting to something where Wukong takes his beloved to the FFM palace to live out their days hehe. EVEN IF IT TAKES YEARS. Love when he’s an asshole but has a soft spot for a certain someone….

In any case, I decided to doodle up some ideas bc why not - hopefully will expand on it later when I have more free time (aka after I graduate) ((which is soon!!!!!! //sobbing))

Hiya!

Going off the idea that they both get attached quite closely with her and are very deep in attraction, of course it wouldn’t be fun for anyone. In a way, Nà is the glue that brought Mac and Wukong back together to be somewhat friendly to each other. They were in a sworn brotherhood before, but of course Mac was still very upset at what he did. I digress, so once she passes, all emotions are heightened- they’re sad, angry and just overall all over the place. The two would start bickering and getting into some nasty arguments.

It would dawn on them that arguing is pointless, it’s not going to bring her back from the dead. They would distance themselves for a while, both being able to just grieve on their own. After a while they will come to terms and reconnect again, speaking about Nà in a reminiscent manner, perhaps even continuing to speak about her to the new babies that are born on the FFM. Maybe even dedicate a small shrine to her that they will visit every so often.

Those would be some somber monkeys…..

((Oopsies I forgot to mention too, I hadn’t said anything about people having ages in their bio, but it is appreciated if you do 😭 I do plan on having this a 16+, maybe 18+ space, just because I would feel more comfortable that way, and if I ever really need to I use the mature filter and hope yall are being truthful when yall put your ages into the settings. I haven’t done anything too explicit but there is content that I wouldn’t be comfortable having a minor around 💀))

what if, Na, but she is a scaly mermaid/siren? and she is hunted?

Macaque and Wukong are captains of a ship, and they decided to search for her because she has a bounty on her (people thought she was evil since she was spotted near a few dead people ashore, but in reality she was actually trying to rescue them from drowning while in a ravenous storm but they didn't make it), so they hunt for her

and they decide to nap, but in the morning, Macaque feels something on his tail; he is annoyed, but then finds Na resting her head on the edge of the boat and on Macaque's tail, sleeping peacefully while half-inside water; he recognizes her and wakes Wukong up, and now they're both in awe (they recognized her as the siren they were rescued by (she saved them from sea monster) )

if Nà had to choose between Macaque's main powers (shadow stuff n general shape shifting) and Wukong's main powers (shape shifting and super strengh and being able to hold the staff) what would she choose and why? (personally I would take Macaque's power just to look badass but maybe it's just me)

Mac’s power would be very cool to use, and very useful to get on their nerves 🤭

I had to dig these outta my sketchbook, so apologies for the messy format ;; they were very spur of the moment doodles

Since they were very spur of the moment, this character doesn’t have a name! Though, these were made before I had actually drew up Nà, so in a way…. She’s kinda like her predecessor lmao. There are some similarities… if you can spot them hehe

A bit of background for her though, the idea was that she’s a shrine maiden that the group come across in their journey. And of course Wukong being…well… Wukong comes and causes some issues. I WILL PREFACE THAT THIS IS PROBABLY AN ALTERNATE STORY THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE CANON OF JTTW, ofc it’s not very monk-like to be running around creating children. I take it as Wukong not really wanting to reach buddahhood by the time they finish their journey. All in good fun.

Conclusion: Reborn Wukong needs more love
