evermore is the perfect christmas album because it’s more about the holiday experience rather then “MERRY CHRISTMAS”! like it’s miserable, it’s nostalgic, it’s heartbreaking, it’s hopeful, it’s restoring. it’s everything that comes about once a year when all roads lead to your home town. when everyone goes back home and must relive the part of them they wish they could bury but can’t. they relive the pain the once thought would be evermore but realize it’s not evermore

You guys making midnights about Joe Alwyn is actually lowkey pissing me off. My favorite thing about her relationship with Joe was that we didn't have to deal with this bullshit of constantly examining her music for clues into her private life. If she said this music is about my past, we believed her. If she said it's about made up characters, we believed her.
I don't care if she lied to us. I really don't. She said hey I was going through my old work and decided to explore those thoughts/feelings again for this album, they're my sleepless nights throughout my life.
That's it for me, I believe her, even if she's lying. I believe her. I'm not anybody to tell Taylor Swift what she was actually trying to do with her work, she's the one that gets to tells us. She did, I believe her.

I am NOT trying to say ppl who joined the fandom after folklore/evermore are fake fans I just think some (definitely not all but a vocal minority at least) have this idea that taylor only writes stuff like on those two albums and were kinda shocked when she wrote an album that had tracks similar to her other pop albums and they unfairly compare midnights to folkmore instead of judging it on it's own merits if that makes sense???
