I want to take a moment to try to express why i appreciate Haru's sadism as an actual serious part of her characterization and not just a funny contrast joke and 'yay girl violence!' don't get me wrong i love me some yay girl violence for the sake of it, but like. i think there's a lot to work with there for genuine drama writing, too, not just comic relief and i want to talk about it! (cw sugimura)
for all of haru's backstory and her life with her father, sure she's rich and has a lot of privileges, but the one thing she completely lacks is any sort of control. Everything about her life is being decided for her, her father has decided on the shape of her entire future, and she can't do anything to change it - she's being raised just for the sake of being outright sold as a sex slave trophy wife to a perverted creep who is certainly too rich and powerful to ever face legal trouble for marital rape. She's going through the motions, enjoying what she can of the life she has while she still has it, completely hopeless in the face of this horrifying future that other people are forcing her into. Her will means nothing, what she wants means nothing.
And then the Phantom Thieves come along, and they give her the power to make her will matter, to fight for her own freedom and happiness. And that power comes in the shape of violence, physically fighting images of all the things and people standing in her way.
But more than that, she starts to feel 'shivers of excitement' when she hears shadows begging and pleading beneath her. She feels what it's like to have something absolutely, pathetically desperate to make her stop, to deny her what she wants - and to bask in the feeling that she doesn't have to listen, she's the strong one, she can shut them the fuck up with an axe through the skull because their will, their selfish desire, their plan for her doesn't matter anymore, her will, Haru's will matters. It's catharsis, it's intoxicating, it's a rich and indulgent feeling of real actual control and the freedom that comes with it, something she's been denied all her life, and it's probably an unhealthy way to get that feeling but who cares? these are just shadows!
And that catharsis and relief and self-assured confidence she gets from that just makes her better able to be her sweetest, kindest, purest self around the people she loves! It doesn't undermine the sweet person she is, it helps it!
And then, she makes the choice to try to cure her father's brain-rotting greed and see if there's anything worth salvaging in his heart. It might not be the best choice, it could certainly be argued about, but it's her choice, it's her will, and she finally, finally feels like she's able to make that mean something-
and Akechi takes the choice away from her, and forces her to live in the future he decided for her.
I think when people write the dynamic between Akechi and Haru, they can sometimes miss the forest for the trees - 'you killed my father', without the underlying 'this was the first time i believed i ever had a choice in my own life, and you took it away from me and fucking crushed it before my eyes'. I've also seen it done very well too, and I love it! but i think a lot of writers are sleeping on the potential a bit, of haru & akechi focused stories, or even of haru as a source of drama and an interesting supporting character in shuake stories. In general, haru's potential for anger, frustration, violent desires and just a need to feel in control of her own life has a lot of potential in drama writing!
Atlus certainly dropped the ball on the akechi and haru dynamic, and kept the sadism thing as mostly comic relief, but Persona canons are all half-realized outlines of good ideas just begging for fic writers to come and actually flesh them out, anyway, so ah well!
all i hope for is that if you're a persona writer that doesn't know what to do with haru or how to use her, or doesn't pay her much mind, maybe this might inspire you or give you a clearer idea of how to write her dramatic side!

Come on, drop your Pevensie siblings headcanons
Alright, alright, alright, I have so many. Literally think about this all the time. By the way, this is going to be a mix of canon compliant and Modern!AU cause I don’t have the time to sort them. Also most of these are Edmund ones lol.
— Let’s start off with a classic, Edmund is definitely into photography. He has a camera hanging around his neck all the time. He's really good at it too. Definitely hates when people take pictures of him, though. He prefers to be behind the camera.
— This is totally a stolen headcanon, but I can’t stop thinking about it since I read it: Lucy steals her brothers hoodies and sweatshirts all the time. It’s basically her entire wardrobe. They’re both annoyed by it but she won’t stop.
— Susan always wore dresses and skirts growing up, but when she became an adult she found she loved the black pants + belt and white dress shirt combo. Also red lipstick! excuse me while I bi panic for a while
— Peter’s favourite class is P.E because of course it is. He’s really good at it, too. Susan is a faster runner than him though, something he always denies.
— Peter’s definitely this well known nice jock kid that everyone likes, so most people assume he’s straight and get really surprised when he mentions his crush on Sam Wilson. Then he singlehandedly ends homophobia at his school.
— Edmund is definitely the type of kid who wears a hood over his head and has headphones on at all times. His hair is a mess and his neck hurts all the time from staring down at his phone.
— It’s been said before, but Edmund’s music taste is just really weird indie songs no one has ever heard before, BUT he is also definitely a closeted swiftie. I won't take any critique on this.
— Also he has a tumblr account.
— Susan REALLY likes sad songs. Like, she basically only listens to sad songs, happy ones aren’t her thing. Songs about loss, heartache, death, that's her jam! This prompts Peter to call her a heartless monster repeatedly.
— OH OH! Something I’ve thought about for a long time and really like: Edmund’s favourite author is Jane Austen. He loves the sass in them and the romance part is also very appealing. No I will not take criticism.
— Lucy never got into the novels but she always watches the movie/tv adaptations with him. When it’s Pride and Prejudice night they always fight over which version to watch, because Edmund has a crush on Colin Firth and Lucy has a crush on Keira Knightley.
— Peter is the most hopeless romantic. He loves all the classics: lending your jacket to your partner, buying chocolate and flowers, picnic dates etc. Valentine’s Day is his favourite holiday. Edmund is a hopeless romantic too, but he would never admit it. Susan is not, she’s way more realistic and grounded, and Lucy is a romantic but not hopeless lol.
— Lucy loves painting her nails (especially in loud colours) but she’s really bad at it. She constantly messes up and gets it all over her fingers and shit. But with some help from Susan it usually ends up looking okay.
— Edmund let Lucy paint his nails once because she wanted to see if it was easier to do on someone else. He didn’t wanna do it at first but after she begged he relented. To his surprise, though, he actually really liked it, and he started wearing nail polish regularly after that. To Lucy’s aggravation he was really good at it, too.
— Susan keeps doing archery when they come back to England. She’s amazing at it.
— I’ve always thought that Edmund feels like the type of guy who mostly has female friends. I just think his whole life he’s just preferred the company of girls over guys. Don’t know why, he just gives that vibe. Peter is probably his closest male friend, to be honest.
— Edmund and Lucy are both hardcore gamers, and Peter and Susan absolutely suck at video games. They have the rare dynamic of the younger siblings always beating the older ones, something both Ed and Lucy bring up all the time to tease them.
— I have this Modern!AU caspeter concept of the Pevensies and Caspian’s family having neighbouring summer homes (is that what you call them in English? Like, I’m talking about like a house on the countryside where you go during vacation). So they’ve like spent a lot of summers together growing up and Peter and Caspian has this sexual tension filled rivalry that everyone can see through except them.
That’s all I have right now, will probably add more to this later. Hope you liked them!

I DIVED INTO AO3′S SASUNARU FICS AND BROUGHT YOU SOME OF MY FAVORITES AS A SOUVENIR (you’re welcome)
Please reblog and/or go support the authors directly if you like any of these recs. Some of these are already quite famous (because they’re GOOD), but I also threw in a couple hidden gems.
Asymmetry; by sowell:
Naruto teaches Sasuke how to believe again. (complete, 7,411 words; canon setting)
Why you should read it: This really captures their relationship, the fact that it’s not pretty, not entirely healthy, but... it’s beautiful and heartwrenching. Sasuke is a petty asshole and this one made me want to give him a hug. Fair warning: if cheating squicks you, I’d rather you pass that one than make yourself uncomfortable. Naruto and Sasuke are very much caught in each other’s orbit and since they’re both complete dumbasses...there are consequences. That being said, the author’s take on all characters is nuanced and respectful. All in all, a great read.
Blood ties; by KizuKatana:
Only one clan that he’d heard of had eyes like that. Naruto gripped the hilt of his sword tighter. He only hoped that the man facing him hadn’t heard that the alliance between their clans had fallen through. And that Naruto was the one who’d broken it. (154,078 words WIP as of July 14th, 2020; fantasy AU)
Why you should read it: GO READ THIS MASTERPIECE. I love this fic so much I could weep. Look, look. I don’t know how to convey to you how much this fucking rocks. The fate of the world kind of depends on their level of gayness for each other, and Naruto fucks it up three minutes in. But you know the actual best thing about this? Sasuke has his shit together for once. Oh, and they kick some major ass.
Dirty Little Itch; by Angelas:
It's Naruto's first day of high school. And thanks to Sasuke, first day for a lot of different stuff. (complete, 14,512 words; modern setting)
Why you should read it: Listen, I don’t rec just any high school AU. This is the good stuff!!
Flesh and Bone; by dawnstruck:
"He says we are engaged to each other, you moron." (complete, 14,343 words; canon setting)
Why you should read it: I mean, if you’re weak for the arranged marriage trope like me, this is a no brainer.
Hokage’s Shadow; by SasuNarufan13:
They think the Hokage travelling alone makes an easy target. They really should think twice - and perhaps wonder why nobody has tried attacking him before. (complete, 3,486 words; canon setting)
Why you should read it: He protecc
Hopeless Wanderer; by dawnstruck:
Instead of fighting at the Valley of the End, Sasuke convinces Naruto to join him. Together and on the run, they develop a co-dependent relationship that blurs the lines between love and make-belief. Notes:[Single parts should be read in order.] (series, complete; canon setting)
Why you should read it: A little bit messed up and so, so good. The whole series is just *chef’s kiss*.
if the sun and the moon should doubt; by sprx77:
It's been two weeks since their last mission.
“Don’t start something you can’t finish.” Sasuke huffs, haughty, against his skin. ( part of a series, complete, 5,305 words, can be read as a standalone; canon setting)
Why you should read it: A smutty one-shot that explores what their dynamic might be like if Sasuke never deserted the village. To spice things up a bit, I recommend reading this installment first, then checking out the prequel to discover how they ended up together to begin with.
moving forward; by sausegay:
Where sasuke and naruto travel in a new world, sort out their feelings, and the culminating act is sasuke eating naruto's ass in the woods. (complete, 23,318 words; canon setting)
Why you should read it: ...It’s just really nice when Sasuke deals with having emotions like an halfway sane human being. And it’s really nice to have these two morons travelling together, bickering, and landing themselves into all kinds of trouble. And eating ass, I guess.
Two Lifetimes; by KinomiAkai:
With every passing day, it's becoming clearer and clearer that Sasuke is dead. So what else would Naruto do, if he got the chance to try all over again? (complete, 11,166 words, canon setting)
Why you should read it: Ok, so...time-travel. In Naruto fics I’m kind of iffy about that trope because it’s hard to make it work, I’m already attached to the characters and I don’t want them to land in/create alternate dimensions where their friends are not really their friends. Right? Right. This is an alternate dimension kinda fic. And it fucking works. Trust me with this one.
Waiting for an Answer; by KinomiAkai:
After eight years of struggling, Naruto finally caves and confesses to Sasuke. But it's okay; nothing is going to change between them. Everything will be the same. ...The moment Sasuke stops bringing it up every twenty seconds, it'll be the same. (complete, 8013 words; modern setting)
Why you should read it: This is so damn cute. As much as I love pining idiots, Naruto being absolute shit at hiding his feelings gives me life.
Warm; by reunionwillcome:
Naruto hates himself. It’s been years since he finally came to terms with his feelings for Sasuke and how they went far beyond that of pure friendship; years since they won the war and saved the world; years since Sasuke packed his bags and left the village, embarking on a journey of atonement and self-discovery which seemed to have nothing to do with Naruto whatsoever. Whoever said time heals all wounds was a fucking liar. (20,086 words WIP as of July 14th, 2020; canon setting)
Why you should read it: Angsty pining ahoy! This one is the complete opposite of the previous rec, as in, it focuses heavily on Naruto’s attempts to hide and move on from his romantic feelings for Sasuke, because he’s convinced that they’re unwelcome (they very much are not). Also, jealousy happens. Alternately: In which Sasuke expresses his feelings with slammed doors.
When the House Falls Down; by sowell:
When the house falls down, all that's left is to rebuild. (complete, 40,323 words; canon setting)
Why you should read it: This one broke me. ...It picks up kind of slow, at first, but that’s just so it can turn around and punch you in the face. Repeatedly.
Yearning in the Fray; by InstantKarma83:
In 1864, Kyoto, Japan, a lord and his warrior learn to overcome prejudices in order to work together. However, their biggest obstacle is choosing between duty and love. (22k+ words WIP as of July 14th, 2020; historical AU)
Why you should read it: Sasuke is a dick! Probably a kinder dick than he makes himself out to be, but, nonetheless, a (big, prejudiced, entertaining) dick. I just really love the power imbalance here, and the way we witness their lives colliding and merging (thanks, Itachi), and I can’t wait for them to tame each other, because right now? Right now, these two fuckers are not happy at all to be saddled with each other. This gave me strong ‘Tales of the Otori’ vibes.

Really long ask - Part 1: Hi, sorry for this long rant, but I just wanted to vent since I saw this latest story posted on AO3 and I am restraining myself on commenting on their story so I'm just letting my anger out here about it and other issues regarding fan-depiction of Hawks. It's vaguely related to your post on how DabiHawks or Dabi+Hawks stories make it all about Dabi and always made Hawks out to be the one who starts the problems in their relationship or is the one trying to get Dabi's
Content warning: passing mention of r*pe in a fanfiction.
LOOOONG post under the cut.
(Cont.)
Dabi's attentions when it's canon that it's the complete opposite. This latest story that came up in my feed was about Hawks "harassing" Dabi (who apparently has a backstory of r*pe) and Twice helps Dabi works out his feelings. Among the hoards of tags condemning Hawks, they decided to use "Hawks is very uncool in this fic heads up" so that's another one to add to my filters. I think I also have to block the "Dabi Needs a Hug" tags too bc he's always woobified like heck.
I really want to read stories where Hawks interacts with Twice since they have a bond/drama with each other, but people have been adding Dabi and either making it seem like Hawks has been gaslighting Dabi in their "relationship" or with Twice. I can acknowledge stories where Hawks feels guilty for what he had to do or Twice being anger/betrayed over Hawks' actions since that is actually what happened; but I will not stand for Dabi claiming Hawks took advantage of Twice or Twice and Dabi having feelings for each other with Hawks in the way bc Dabi is a) the one who let Hawks in b) knew Twice is gullible and c) used Twice as bait. Even in the stories that are cute/causal+funny, Hawks is always the one who gets threatened with fire, harsh insults, or guilted into compliance but the seriousness of the first 2 are always brushed off and the third kinda makes me want it that Hawks doesn't have friends bc most people write him as a bad friend who only cares about his own problems (especially the ones that write Hawks like a celebrity/night club person).
On writing Dabi, his issues always take priority over everything else, his family loves him, and the lov is always chill with him. He's usually written as the fun asshole/caretaker (bc of his big brother status or ablity to cook). Those factors aren't bad by itself, but it's extremely irritating when the writers/artists can give that level of care to Dabi, but just reduce Hawks to a meme who is a workaholic for the government/scared of punishment & not bc he really cares about the people he saves/helps. It's not like I hate the DabiHawks pairing, but the majority of the content (esp the recent ones), are frustrating to read & Hawks' character is usually written in bad out of character extremes. I am really mystified that I'm praying for canon content rather than fanmade most of the time.
Phew! After the back and forth it looks like we got to the end of that! (Or did we?! *Dun dun DUUUUN*) If not, though, feel free to keep the asks rolling. Lol Foxy and I are usually pretty happy to receive as many asks as people want to send even if it takes us a while, individually, to get to it. Now to finally address what you sent.
I find myself in a weird place when it comes to OOC fanfic because on the one hand people can write whatever they want, and I don’t really have a place to criticize them; but also when they blatantly and willingly misinterpret a character so they have grounds to bash on them it also leaves me acutely uncomfortable. I don’t think I’d call it “problematic” as much as a squick? Like, if they’re willing to blow past all the obvious proof to the contrary about their claims of a fictional character just because they hate them, then are they willing to do the same thing to a real person? Usually, those kinds of thoughts are pointlessly extreme, but we know those who unironically and/or unapologeticly call fans of the heroes “bootlickers” so... It’s like, ooc vent fics are also fine; and if you want to rewrite a character to fit the narrative scheme you’ve set up that’s cool as long as its tagged (“ooc [character]” or something) and/or just mention in the a/n that they knowingly and willingly mischaracterized them for the sake of the fic. Just. Don’t. Claim. It’s. Canon.
And speaking of canon, as much as I’m sure Horikoshi knew Hawks and Dabi were going to end up shipped I think it’s obvious that he never was going to canonically write them ending up together, yet here comes the “canon must validate my headcanon” crowd calling him a bad writer because the author had some bigger narrative goal in mind than having two pretty anime boys kissing.
And the worst part to me is, I feel there’s a distinct slice of the DabiHawks crowd missing out on some of the possibilities of this ship by intentionally mischaracterizing them. Like, the aesthetic equal/opposite draw of the ship is phenomenal as it is and I don’t even ship them, but I can see a wide range of possible fics based solely on the principle that they are canonically incompatible!
At the end of the day, Dabi is a dime-a-dozen edgelord - that pain in the butt OC that so many newbie D&D players make that they think is so deep and dark and mature, but is about as cookie-cutter as they come. It’s not that this kind of character is unsalvageable or a hopeless Gary Stu character, just that they don’t often come across as compelling in and of themselves or that they need more than just selfish hatred to carry them through a series. Two kinds of edgelords that can be done well are the “Out of the Ashes” edgelord and “I’ll Pull You Into Hell With Me” edgelord. The first kind recognizes there’s more to life than their sad backstory and getting even and thus choose to aspire to more noble causes - think Joel from The Last of Us. The second recognizes they’re actively doing wrong and come to embrace it - being more concerned with getting what they want than taking the moral high ground - think Frank Castle, aka the Punisher - and even these darker, “unsaveable” kinds of edgelord antiheroes can have redeeming qualities such as meeting and helping a young hopeful and telling them, “I know I’m on the road to hell, so if you want to save yourself you’d better not follow me.”
Dabi actually has what he needs to become the second type right now (assuming he’s Touya) and could even evolve into the first not unlike Kratos from God of War, but that potential can’t be fully recognized until you admit that he’s fundamentally self-centered and a bad person as-is. He may have the tragic backstory complete with justifiable hate at his genuinely abusive father, but rather than using that as fuel to see that never happen to anyone else like it did him - he just wants to get even. He burns people alive, knowing well he’s participating in the same destruction that his father committed to make him what he is now. He doesn’t recognize any of the merits of hero society and is only concerned with burning it to ash. He could use what happened to his family to incite compassion in his heart and take others under his wing, but instead he uses people as a mean to his own ends. He isn’t even proper grimdark - he’s just your run of the mill egotistical megalomaniac with a punk aesthetic.
And that’s still a good character in the grand scheme of things, maybe just not alone! Moreso, it’s a good villain and EVEN BETTER when you put him next to Hawks who is at his core:
Fundamentally Hopepunk!
Hopepunk is about being good and kind as an act of rebellion against a cruel and unfair world no matter how bleak it gets or how badly you’re beaten down. Despite his own cruel past, Hawks still has a heart to help others for no other reason than to help them, he constantly changes the odds to save as many people as he can when he’d be given a pass for letting the cards fall where they will, and not only is his aim to “help others” but to make sure that there’ll never be need for heroes again. He’s an active rebel against the system fighting with kindness and goodness, fervently looking and listening for the next opportunity to do good.
In agreement with you, Hawks and Twice are interesting to explore because while Twice is an optimist looking to make the world a better place, he’s still a step or two removed from Hawks’ worldview because Twice refuses to let go of the “family” he found for himself while Hawks is willing to sacrifice himself for others. That dynamic is so interesting, and it’s what made them so initially compatible and subsequently heartbreaking in canon.
And it’s such a disappointment to see this unwaveringly earnest character reduced to “shitty fratboy” so often. For a lot of people newer to his character I can understand the confusion, but there really isn’t an excuse if you’ve been reading the series, and the possibilities for fics with this canon personality are just so much more interesting to explore, especially with Dabi as his sort-of opposite.
For DabiHawks to work well, you have to recognize that something has to give in either of them. Some of the juiciest, most angsty content is when you have two characters grow close together over commonalities only to be reminded that despite everything else they share, that One Thing will always keep them from truly being able to see eye-to-eye. Either Dabi has to grow past his hatred and relearn compassion and empathy, or Hawks has to lose grip of that hopeful vision he has and fall into despair. Both options are good to explore, but both require the acknowledgement that Dabi’s view of the world is fundamentally bleak and selfish, especially compared to Hawks’. For a supposed revolutionary out to change the world for the better whose a diamond in the rough with a heart of gold, that’s not exactly on-brand; and at the end of the day the issue is that some are unwilling to admit that what they wanted Dabi to be is likely not going to happen and they love that fake version Dabi more than they love what Hawks actually stands for which is why Hawks always gets the shaft in the end.
I still personally hold a bit of a grudge against the DaiHawks ship as a whole purely because, as you said, Dabi always seems to take priority over Hawks instead of letting the two build a dynamic together. Hawks is always the one who has to give, and the torture porn some have made him go through to “make the ship work” is downright disturbing to me. Even at its height DabiHawks content completely flooded the Hawks character tags on Tumblr with some of the same problems that have persisted to this day such as emphasizing their aesthetic as opposed to their dynamic and rampant mischaracterization.
Anyway, that’s my long-winded response. What do you think, @autumn-foxfire?

On the Death of Sirius Black and Literary Gay Bashing in Harry Potter
In 2003, I was ten, straight, and positively obsessed with Hermione Granger.
If those last two things sound a little contradictory, it’s because they were. I do not mean I was “obsessed” in the sense that I wanted to dress up like her for Halloween, I mean “obsessed” in the sense that I literally blushed anytime my mom read her name aloud to my sister and I.
Queer. I was queer. I just didn’t know it yet.
Thus, I didn’t notice the Sirius/Remus romantic subtext as a child, drinking hot chocolate propped against my sister’s knees and listening enraptured as my mom read to us from the most recently released Harry Potter book. When Order of the Phoenix came out, I was far more interested in Angsty Harry™ and the evils of Delores Umbridge, and when Sirius died, I was not even all that upset. I didn’t really like him all that much, knew even at that age that he embodied too many of the stereotypically “masculine” traits I had already grown to hate with his pride and brooding and emotional immaturity. I didn’t much care, much less recognize that JK Rowling had done something rather unforgiveable.
But others did.
Seventeen years later, I get it.
By 2003, many older, wiser readers had long since clocked the queer subtext between Sirius and Remus. And, when I picked up the books earlier this year to re-read them for the first time since they were read to me as a child, I saw it too. (Notably, this was prior to JKR’s most recent round of blazing transphobia, after which I stopped reading.) And, okay, yes, I am the type of queer who reads queerness into many things. But y’all, I really didn’t have to try all that hard this time. If I were reading these books for the first time in the context of 2020, I would assume Remus and Sirius were canonically a couple, and JKR just wasn’t bashing us over the head with clear evidence of it. She doesn’t do that most of the time anyway. By Order of the Phoenix, in my opinion, the evidence (as movie Dumbledore says so awkwardly) is incontrovertible. The living together? The joint Christmas present? The “Sirius, sit down” scene early in the book? The confirmed HIV/AIDS metaphor, IN THE 90S?? THEY’RE FUCKING GAY TOGETHER.
And here’s the thing, (and I have no proof of this, so you’re just going to have to roll with it): I think it’s pretty clear that JKR became more conservative as time progressed. Money tends to do that to people, conveniently. What started as a series about the power young people hold to defeat evil and fight injustice eventually devolved into a flaccid epilogue where heterosexual nuclear families abounded and there were (still) no visibly queer characters in sight.
By the time the final book came out, I was a full-fledged teenager, and I, too, had abandoned fantasies of fighting evil and injustice for fantasies of settling down with “my perfect man” (L. O. L.) So, I get it. I get that priorities change for young people. But for adults, especially those recently drunk on the power of infinite amounts of money and fame? Nah. JKR knew what she was doing. JKR laid all the groundwork for a possible relationship between Remus and Sirius and then changed her mind. Or was told to change her mind. Or was forced to change her mind.
I have A Lot Of Feelings™ about Tonks and Remus’s relationship (most of which are about the way their canonical relationship plays into a lot of really awful tropes about disabled people which, no matter how you read him, Remus is). And I have a lot of feelings about Sirius Black as a character. I have a lot of feelings about Dumbledore, some related to his posthumous outing and some not. And, like most of us now, I have a lot of feelings about the entire franchise as a whole. But here’s what I know: It doesn’t actually matter, because JKR didn’t just change the explicit relationship dynamics between Sirius and Remus, she quite literally killed any chances of queer romance.
And she didn’t just kill Sirius. She killed Remus, too. And Tonks (who is a genderqueer butch and I will die on that hill). And Dumbledore. And the cute, squeaky house elf with a love for clothes and an obsession with Harry. And the young Gryffindor boy who followed Harry around, constantly asking for photos and autographs. And – you know what? Fuck it. – the person who lived INSIDE ANOTHER MAN’S BODY before returning to his bodily form, during which time he relied heavily on his male servant who cut off a literal body part to restore his master.
Am I reading too much queer subtext into each of these characters? Maybe. But, as this lovely article states, “close reading is queer culture, always has been.” And I can’t help but notice that the vast majority of the characters JKR didn’t kill off are, well, pretty fucking straight. (Drarry shippers, feel free to come at me. I’m sure there’s plenty of queer subtext there, too). They’re, for the most part, characters with a clear canonical history of heterosexual romance, as if only those with a possible future of a heterosexual, nuclear family are worthy of survival.
And I just don’t think this was an accident. I think it was the intentional plan of someone who started to feel like the world of inclusion she’d created was being read as far too inclusive.
To call this “literary gay bashing” is a pretty serious accusation with a pretty serious use of a very loaded term. But the thing is, I think we too often let people like JKR off the hook without recognizing what her words – both literary and non-literary – have done and can do. We too often dismiss it with statements like, “she’s entitled to her opinion”. Gay bashing is the intentional abuse or assault of someone perceived to be a member of the LGBTQIA2+ community, physically or verbally, that often results in lasting harm or death. And I use this term to describe JKR’s work particularly because it is sensationalizing, because it calls violence what it is: violence. Because, sure, she’s as entitled to her opinion as anyone else. But the second you create a world where anyone, especially children, are going to see themselves, going to feel safe, your “opinion” better do as little violence as possible.
When I saw the first Harry Potter movie, back in 2001, I refused to discuss it for months. I was furious. At the time, I couldn’t quite pinpoint why, but I now realize that I was heartbroken that Hermione Granger didn’t look like me. When JKR described a girl with wild, brown curly hair, I saw me. I saw my hair. And so, as children tend to do, I saw the rest of me, too. I saw tanned skin and dark brown eyes and full lips and high cheekbones (the ones people always told me made me look “Indian”, which I only partially am). I saw the quiet confidence that develops when you’re the brownest kid in your school, ready to strike but only when provoked. The pale, arrogant, racially unambiguous Hermione Granger I saw on the screen made me feel dirty, cast off, unworthy of representation. The self-hatred I felt when White Hermione Granger entered the film alongside White Harry Potter and White Ron Weasley and White Everyone Else was a kind of violence.
And when JKR killed off all of her queer-read characters, she took that violence to another level. Because they were there, we saw them, we did not imagine the romantic undertones between Remus and Sirius, or the way that a shape-shifting young woman with short, spiky hair reads an awful lot like a person uninterested in traditional gender. We saw ourselves in the most beloved franchise of all time. And then, she took away those possibilities, and she took away those characters.
And you know what? People die because they can’t see themselves in media. People die because that’s what they’ve watched everyone like them do on screen and in books. It’s not harmless, and it’s not victimless, and it’s violent.
There’s only one solution to literary gay bashing: To Bash Back. We can and do write ourselves into the stories, into the world, and refuse to settle for explanations that gaslight us into thinking we imagined things that were never there, or ask us to settle for tiny crumbs of useless representation.
I intended to finish my most recent story, “Come Healing”, with an ambiguous ending that left the possibility of Sirius’s death open to reader interpretation. But then, JKR kept going, and talking, and kept creating violence, and I got mad. And so, like so many queers before me, I rewrote the story and changed the ending, and created love and security and peace and life where the canonical author had created hopelessness and death. And in the world we live in right now, that is radical. It is bashing back.
It’s tiny, but it’s something. Every time we write a happy ending for a queer character, we create the possibilities of happy endings for queer people everywhere. And no one – no matter how hard she may try – can take that away.

After the papa rossi gof set (which i love, i love papa rossi). Could you do a detailed description of what you think the other teammates think of garvez. I know you've kinda done it when you analyze garvez scenes, but pretty please?? Especially papa rossi, hotch and morgan, oh and jj and. .. well all of them? Please and thank you!
Hey, Anon, hope you understand that this took me a while. I would have liked to finish faster. I’m not sure if you meant garvez in general or the idea of them as a couple... I tried to do both.
So, here we are.
Hotch.
He had little time to know Luke, but I like to imagine the others told him when they started dating. He would have been protective of her, like the other men. When he finally would have met them again, he would have hardly recognize Luke. He is not the same dark man, since he is with Penelope, but even before. He would have understood that. Because it was to him, that Luke told his desire to kill Cullen. Hotch saw the future profiler in Taskforce Agent Luke Alvez, but now he would have met the caring man, the so-in-love man, the man that could play with his son (Jack) and also make him smile... He would have show his seriousness (no-smile mood) just once he would saw how happy Garcia is with Luke. What about the “before”? I don’t think Hotch spent so much time wondering about Luke/Penelope dynamics... just because he had, at that moment, other most pressing issues (like catching Mr Scratch).
Morgan.
It’s almost canon (because we all agree about this) that Derek is a bit jealous to see his baby girl so close to another man, the man that replaced him, then! But, I like to imagine that he will not last very long, I mean, like the others, seeing what they are together, the chemistry, the care, he will be happy for her. Did he know before? I think so. It’s clear for the way he behaved in the only episode we got with Derek and Luke. He saw the jealousy Luke felt. He knows his princess and I’m sure they talked about this argument many times, so he pratically knows everything of their “story”, the growing of their relationship (during S12) and when he had the chance, he gave her his approval on Luke, asking her if she can be a little friendlier with Alvez. He saw her reaction, her annoyance and he knew why. He refused to talk straight to Luke just because Savannah told him no to intrude, to give them time. But he will be her first call after coming home “Luke asked me to dinner”, for a while he will be speechless but then he will start rambling like her, mixing “I told you” with “I need to buy I ticket - you know, the guy is okay but he still face the Talk”. I think he will be her best man when they will marry (sorry but I don’t know if this is right even for women, in Italy we say just “testimoni di nozze”, in a general way, no matter if it’s for men or women).
Rossi.
Not only Rossi knows that there is something between these two, he also feels responsible, because he was the one who insisted so hard to have Luke in the team and he also loves his kitten with every part of his heart. So, he didn’t do anything specific to help them get out of this limbo because he knew that an internal relationship would have been complicated and he couldn’t lose any of them. Luke is like a son, for him. Like the others at the party, they all saw them walking aside and they understood enough, but pretended opposite not to ruin the moment. But then... he talks with his wife, Krystall tries to make him understand “Luke doesn’t need the Talk”, but he is too stubborn. Rossi or Derek, one of them, calls the other, they talk and then they decide to make the Talk together. Then, Penelope, that knows her boys, stops them, saying to wait at least after their first date. They all laugh (Luke still a bit nervous, and he can’t understand if it’s because he is about to date Penelope or for the Talk). Rossi will walk Penelope down the aisle that day.
Spencer.
Just recently (thanks to a certain girl) Reid started to understand there was something between his coworkers. He was a bit still dizzy for what happened to him, the thought that Penelope is leaving... but noticed that there was something different in Luke. He noticed how close Luke tried to stay to Penelope, his gazes, his nervous... while he was dancing with JJ, they talked about it and his best friend laughed so hard; she just said “finally”. He wasn’t really good about relationship (especially romantic) but when he saw Luke looking at Penelope during the cheers and then looking at him with that stupid face, he knew that these two are mean to be something. He just knew and he wasn’t able to explain why. During the pregnancy he will tell to Luke all he learned when JJ was pregnant the first time, making him more agitated, obviously. But they still will choose him to be the godfather of the babies.
Matt.
Oh, Simmons is the only one that really points on Luke; he noticed that his friend is changed, he knew that he was about to do something concrete and maybe they also talked? He is now his best friend. He is so proud of him. He tried to help him during the dance scene, but he knew that he wasn’t up on him. He will defend Luke at the moment of the Talk and maybe he will also tease him about possible kids or marriage (but then he will be his best man). He will be just happy about Penelope.
JJ.
Agent Jareau was the first to notice everything. She tried to involve the others. She was sure that they will be together. Will had to listen to all her ramblings about it during the years. She was happy when Luke started dating Lisa but she never stopped to believe in “garvez”. Yeah, she also coined the ship name. Penelope never talked about her feelings, but she still knew. She can read her mind and her eyes as a book. And Luke, oh, Luke is even easier to read. She is the one that will want to know everything (ok, almost everything, keep the details for you, Garcia!) about their first date, their second date... she did it when Penelope was with Kevin. Why don’t do the same, this time? She will be the braid’s maid, of course. She is the first Penelope will call when she understands that she is pregnant. JJ will also be the more threatening for Luke; she is little, short, blondie with blue eyes... but Luke knows that she is able to kill him in so many different ways.
Emily.
She is happy for them, but even happier that they are not coworkers anymore; she doesn’t like to talk with bureaucrats, least of all to make them understand that a relationship between an agent and their IT wouldn’t interfere with the work of the BAU, because... Garcia is/was almost never on the field. And they are all professional people, come on! Probably Cruz would have understood, but the others... better in this way. And she can’t forget the times she saw Penelope crying and upset for their job. She will miss her but she hopes Garcia will be fine in her new place. And with Luke. She loves Garcia, but also Luke. They had their moments, good and bad times. Can we really believe that she never made anything to help/push garvez to happen? Why, for the hell, Garcia was sent to find Luke, right when he is having his first date since... a lifetime? We never saw something like this, I mean, when one of them was late, they just waited a moment and then... departed without them. And, second clue: she could have put Luke in a different role, after he was degraded, but no, she put him to work with Garcia. She really didn’t know? Not my opinion. Emily will handle all JJ exciment and will be infected, after a while.
Tara.
She was the great supporter of Luke and Lisa relationship. She loves both of them, Penelope and Luke. In the last year she understood there was no way out, Luke was hopeless, clearly in love with another woman. She adores to tease him, like Garcia... but still in a different way. Or maybe, it’s the way Luke replies to her jokes that is different. I can totally imagine Tara talking with Luke about the situation, like a big sister, especially after he told them about his break up with Lisa and since she noticed how he reacted for the thought Penelope could leave... Maybe she could talk with Matt, before this. But after, she will stay the sister that teasing him about how sappy he is with Penelope, that she feels the need to vomit because they are just... too sweet. But they will all know it’s a lie.
Sorry if this is not what you wanted. I did my best, as always and I hope you can still like it.

Supernatural 15x18, Despair -- Review
Sooo...that episode happened. And you know, based on the posts I had been seeing all day, when I went into this episode, I was expecting to hate this episode. But I kind of didn’t. I kind of liked it. Did I love it? No. Like I’ve been saying before, I doubt this season will do anything that I will actually genuinely love, they went a direction with the season that ultimately I find boring and dull, so I’ll probably never ever actually truly enjoy or love any part of this season, other than the Michael/Adam dynamic, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t find some enjoyment watching this episode.
So as always, spoilers below. If you don’t want to be spoiled, scroll past this. I might get a little anti Dean and anti Destiel, if you’re pro for either of those things, you might also want to scroll past this one. If you do decide to stick around and listen to my, at times, incoherent ramblings then you are welcome to do so. Just know that I will not tolerate any rude behavior or actions. If you want to discuss a difference in opinions then I am by all means open to that. However, if you just want to come at me to preach at me on why I’m wrong, then you’ll probably be ignored. This blog supports the interpretations of stories, interpretations as in plural. Everyone has their own interpretations I associate a certain kind of validity with all of them and only a fandickle tries to tear down someone else’s interpretation. Don’t be a fandickle, that’s all I’m asking.
So believe it or not, I actually did find myself kind of sort of enjoying the Cas sacrifice. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do not appreciate Cas dying or sacrificing himself, he’s done it way too much and my poor angel, he just needs to stop loving other people so much and start showing himself a fraction of that love. But on the topic of Cas’s sacrifice, I found the idea behind it kind of nice? I guess. This episode is titled “despair”. And truly, this episode is about our heroes reaching total despair. But in the face of reaching total despair and hopelessness, Cas brought hope, he brought a second chance. In the story of Pandora’s Box, Pandora let out all of the evils of the world, but among those evils at the very bottom of the box was hope. At the bottom of true despair and hopelessness, there’s hope. And that’s what Cas’s sacrifice ultimately meant. Hope and a second chance to somehow find a way to fix everything. And I don’t know, it was just an aspect of the story I really liked.
Now, do I agree with how the actual sacrifice went down? Absolutely not. Dean certainly doesn’t deserve Cas’s love and I think Cas’s reasoning for finding true happiness is a little contrived. Shoot, I wish I found happiness everytime I confessed to someone I liked them. But somehow, happiness and was not what I was feeling. More like anxiety and subsequently pain when I was ultimately rejected. I could imagine maybe feeling a sense of relief but how that correlates to true happiness, I think that’s a little bit of a stretch and is a product of the writers wanting something to happen but either running out of time or just simply too lazy to put in the work for it. And ultimately, this whole “Destiel is canon” thing is something I just don’t really feel a sense of love or appreciation for. I’m glad the Destiel fandom got this thing they had waited so long for but ultimately to me, I can’t appreciate it like they can, it comes with a bitter taste to it because I don’t think it was earned. Dean has been a piece of shit for a while, I’m sorry and the show has done very little this season to actually redeem him for me. Do I think it was out of character for Cas to do what he did? Absolutely not. In fact, this is very in character for him. Me being a Sastiel shipper, I can also say that Dean  has had a (I can hardly say this without having to barf) but Dean has had a “profound” impact on Cas. And to a certain extent, it is true that Cas has largely become who he is because of Dean. Now I do not like the whole retconning of that Cas didn’t care about humans before he met Dean. That bit doesn’t make sense as its been revealed time and time again that he’s always had a fondness for humans and felt a sense of justice to do right by them. So that bit I don’t agree with. But as for Cas choosing to sacrifice himself to save Dean, yes that’s in character for him. It doesn’t mean I have to like it, Cas deserves to love someone better who’s not a manbaby but when you look at it from Cas’s perspective, he doesn’t view Dean that way. I wish Cas would dump Dean’s ass but that’s not who Cas is and begrudgingly, it’s also something I kind of love about Cas. To be able to love and forgive a beast essentially.
But moving on to other things I enjoyed about this episode. Seeing Billie wield her weapon like that, kind of awesome. Although, I am side-eyeing the whole weird contrivance that “Death” keeps putting down this weapon and leaving it somewhere for anyone to pick up. And while I didn’t enjoy watching all of our heroes’ friends disappear, I did kind of appreciate from a morbid torture standpoint that Chuck was essentially torturing Sam and Dean with the disappearances. He started out small and he kept on graduating further and further, getting closer and closer to the people Dean and Sam cared the most about. Like Charlie asked why when Stevie disappered, why didn’t she? And it’s because Chuck wanted Sam and Dean to stew in the disappearances a little. He wanted to give the boys a chance to understand what was happening, have them formulate a plan and then once they realized the plan failed, then take away the ones that mean the most to them. It’s horrible but an effective torture technique.
So surprisingly, I did enjoy this episode. I didn’t expect to, I didn’t want to, but I kind of did. I’d have to give this episode a B+. Not too bad, Berens. Again, don’t love it, don’t love how things were executed in it, but in idea form it was kind of nice. And for the record, I don’t think this is the end of Cas. This episode was about Despair, we got Cas’s despair and the hope he was able to dig out from under it, now we just need Sam and Dean to dig out their own hope from their own despair and I’m interested to see what we come out with. Remember what I said, only when we reach a sense of true hopelessness, can we find hope again.

Royai Fic Rec
Tumblr media
Sooo I compiled a small list of some of my favorite Roy/Riza fics both for my own reference and for anyone else looking for some good fic to read?
Just a point of reference, I have a BIG OL’ Riza Hawkeye bias so I tend to gravitate towards fics that are more Riza-centric? Also I have a preference for AU’s so there’s going to be a disproportionate amount of those in this list lol.
If you like any of the fics listed PLEASE make sure to leave the writers some comments and give them lots of love!!
                                    [ ❤️ = links to gratuitous fanart ]
❤️  Our embalmed hearts, our desolate kingdoms by spooky_bee (T, Multi-Chapter, Complete) Summary: "He leans back, palms connecting with the concrete, and looks up over their city, their desolate kingdom. In the rain, Central City might as well be the ruins of Xerxes, empty and grey, and he and she may as well be the last two people on earth." Or, Love in the Time of Giant Robots.
Possibly my favorite Royai fic? It’s a Eva AU with a really well executed but SLOW build. I’m going to try not to ramble too much about this fic but uhhhhh it’s one of the main reasons why I even started making this list to begin with, just so I had an excuse to shamelessly suggest people to read it. There’s a lot of love put into the writing, world building and character development and it has one of the most extensive Riza characterizations I’ve ever read? It’s just a beautifully introspective piece of work and the way Roy and Riza’s relationship is written is so sincere and earnest that it KILLS me that this fic isn’t more popular than it is.
You definitely get your action fix but the character interactions and relationships are really the star here and it’s done PAINFULLY well. (Also spoiler warning for major character death but it’s left kind of ambiguous tbh so it didn’t bother me too much)
❤️  Well-Behaved Women by ehmazing (T, Multi-Chapter, Complete) Summary: If she'd known she'd be entangled in so much politics, dog hair, and personal business, maybe Sheska would not have become the First Lady's personal assistant.
Recently came across this fic and it’s also become one of my top favorites! Really good character writing and third person perspective done so well you wish it wasn’t because you want! to know! more! Though I have mixed feelings about whether or not Roy and Riza should/would get married in canon, if it were to happen, this is probably the only way I could see it working.
Basically: good writing and gREAT re-readability factor for those little understated and subtle character interactions. Also Sheska/Maria as a pairing has a lot of untapped potential that the writer takes advantage of lol. They’re!! really!! cute!!
❤️  A GOOD ASS FMA UNI FIC!!
Another!! top fave fic
OKAY so this one does get pretty steamy at some parts and I know minors follow me, which is why I’m choosing not to include a direct link to this fic. BUT if you’re 18+ and want a link feel free to drop me an ask (off anon pls) and I can send it your way! The modern characterizations of the fma cast are fantastic and everyone vibes really well together! I have a super soft spot for this fic bc i’m sentimental about my uni days and it made me hardcore miss my friends lol so uh kristine if you ever read this just know you’re vry talented bravo you got me good
无用 / you might get what you're after by roxast (T, Multi-Chapter, Ongoing)  Summary: “Is Mustang being bossy again?”“It’s called 'delegating'.”[Or, Roy spends his senior year of college wrapped up in more ways than one.]
Hehehe another uni fic that I really like! ....I feel like I’m exposing myself lmao it’s very obvious what au I’m most partial to but ANYWAYS super fun concept with two other great follow-along stories in this series (The first being scar-centric and the other through riza’s perspective). All the character interactions are super sweet and I’m looking forward to where it’s going next!
Lucidity by orphan_account (T, Multi-Chapter, Incomplete) Summary: Inception AU. Roy Mustang was one of the finest Extractors in the business until he broke ranks and left his old job behind. Now he and his trusted Architect, Riza Hawkeye, are risking their lives to undo their former employers.
A short and unfortunately abandoned fic but I still really like it! There’s a good sense of atmosphere and I think the writer did a good job of maintaining a level of intrigue in Roy/Riza’s relationship. Definitely worth checking out for the little soft moments of interaction they have.
❤️ Infernia by mitsys (T, oneshot) Summary: Some stories aren't told in headlines or newspapers, but in the touch of hands and minds. A Pacific Rim AU following Riza Hawkeye and her partner, Roy Mustang.
So...listen. I have low standards when it comes Pacific Rim AU’s…because they already automatically meet my one standard. But!! This fic is short, sweet, and really well written. The writer really captures what I think makes the Roy/Riza dynamic so interesting to me in the first place: unspoken understanding and subtlety!! Their interactions with each other definitely has a subtle established relationship feel without being too over the top or out of character. Overall just a really solid oneshot. I love it.
Where is Our Gravity? by the_musical_alchemist (T, Multi-Chapter, Incomplete) Summary: Ed remembers the hopelessness of the arena and how it sunk under his skin like poison. It’s a curse that never leaves you, just something else you resign yourself to in order to keep on living.
Hunger Games AU: Roy/Riza in roles of Finnick/Annie and Ed/Winry in roles of Katniss/Peeta. Not really spoilers if you’ve read the book series but warning for major character deaths. However the events aren’t ordered chronologically so you can...technically...trick your mind into thinking it didn’t happen and you’re still in the past lol. Writer does a good job of both keeping the tone of Roy/Riza as adults and also maintaining the right amount of intrigue in their relationship in a way that implies a lot of weight and shared history. Which I dig! A lot!!
Larded All with Sweet Flowers by FullmetalArchivist (1stTimeCaller) (T, oneshot)
Summary: There's enough on Riza's plate as it is; closing night of one of the most famous plays in the world, press conferences and trying to herd actors to their places. She really doesn't need the extra headache of having to navigate her feelings for the star of the show.
Short, fun and sweet theatre AU! I love when modern AUs give Riza positions of power; in this case she owns the theatre, so...BIG OL’ thumbs up here. Make sure to check out their other works too! All good stuff.
And the Band Plays On by sceptik (G, oneshot) Summary: Roy ran a hand through his hair, and, as he did about twice a day, wished he’d never been hired by Bradley and Son, all those years ago.
Lawyer AU. Subtlety. Intrigue. Themes of corruption. Also uhhh what’s that trope called, where there’s slow dancing but also tension from the subtext of “we must keep up this façade that we’re not close,” I love that shit!! This has it.
Another Military Party by ryfkah (T, oneshot) Summary: Shockingly, certain traitorous conspirators are finding this year's Central Officer's Ball a little tense.
Again, dancing + tension + good writing, I love it.
Take Aim and On the Line, or Five Times Roy Mustang Drunk Dialed Riza Hawkeye by glamophonic (T, oneshot)
I won’t go too in depth with these fics since you’ll most likely see these two on a lot of peoples’ fic recs and yeah it’s well deserved. Basically if you love Riza Hawkeye, you’ll probably like these! Solid characterization, good chemistry, and sweet character interactions.
You’ve Got Mail! by tootooroo (T, Multi-Chapter, Complete) Summary: Just like high school students who like to text during lessons, the teachers are pretty much the same—except that they do it by e-mail, using their PC, so that their supervisors think they are doing work errands. A little bit of Royai.
I’m usually not a fan of texting/email formats in fic but it works well here! The writer does a good job writing comedic character interactions in a really charming way and for the most part it feels very in character (or as much as it can be when transferring canon personalities to modern AUs). In short: fun universe, good writing!
***So there’s definitely a lot of other good fics out there that I haven’t gotten around to reading but that’s all I’ve got for now! aaaand again If you like any of the fics listed PLEASE make sure to leave the writers some comments and give them lots of love!!

Requesting Danganronpa Characters For a Panfandom RP Site
Site name and link: Basura
Site genre: Panfandom
Site info: Basura is a chat-based rp site with a very laid-back and chill community, all of the members being 18+. There’s no word count and it’s all canon based, with all the characters being pulled in from their respective fandoms. There’s plenty of opportunities for character growth, interactions you wouldn’t have expected, and a lot of fun plots!
Contact info: Either with Tumblr messenger or on Discord! (Floradox#2676)
Role(s) requested: ( under a read more because this list got really long whoops...)
Makoto Naegi: Our current characters from this franchise are Kaede, Rantarou, Kirumi, Kokichi, Gonta, Miu, Kaito, Maki, Junko, Gundham, Kiibo, and Chiaki (the last two are both me!). That’s a lot so far, true, but we’d accept more with welcoming arms! So of course the first protagonist is on this list, and there’s a lot of different ways he could be added in! Whether he’s from one of the games or the anime would be super efficient, and the site will also be getting a Komaru soon! Who doesn’t love sibling interactions, right? He’s a very average boy, but our kids have gotten into pretty weird shenanigans and plots that I’m sure he wouldn’t be exempt from, and who knows? He might like this crazy, crazy planet! It would definitely be interesting to see how he reacts to everything, or how he interacts with the kiddo’s from the other games!
Touko Fukawa: What an....interesting girl. Touko took some time to grow on me, but Despair Girls really gave her a much needed boost. This poor, self-proclaimed outcast may not have the best time initially, and I’m assuming that if you would want to rp her, it would be like….picking up two people in one? Which is, of course, perfectly fine with the site! Things on Basura are….a bit chill, for the most part, more so in comparison to all that Touko has dealt with, for sure. As well as, of course, another character that could very well vary, depending on where you take her from! And as previously stated, we’ll be getting a Komaru soon, and the girl who wants to play her ships Toukomaru. So if that’s your cup of tea, then ship plots are a bonus! Please bring this hopeless bi to us, and give her a bath she needs it.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru:Good boy! He’s such a good boy! But also a lonely boy….he needs friends, let him have friends, he needs more than just Mondo, after all. Also? Without a doubt the mom friend of this cast, you can not change my mind on this. Let him take care of any potential characters from this game, and get baffled by the amount of fighting that happens on this planet, and also make friends. I really can’t stress that enough, the girl who plays Kaito and Gundham wants them both to interact with Taka, just imagine that. (and i know we don’t have a Mondo but like….those two should date, yeah? yeah)
Mondo Oowada:Hahah wow look I’m requesting next what a weird coincidence…….listen just hear me out. Having a mondo would be entertaining af, he’s already a pretty funny character, in my honest opinion. He can be friends with Taka and Chihiro, cause imagine how pure those three could be, hanging out together. I’m not at all requesting for him because I want to see Ishimondo happen ok that’s duMB (but hey please let that ship happen, it would be great)
Chihiro Fujisaki:And of course, this little one is next. Chihiro is such a good boy? And I love him? And i want someone to play him so bad, not just for the friendship with Mondo and Taka, but like….I want him to grow as a character again without being rudely interrupted. I want him to be confident because it’s what he deserves. And like….Chiaki would love to see her dad too, just saying…
Sonia Nevermind: An angEL! Sonia is such a sweetheart and she’s adorable and precious and I love her a whole lot, ok. She has such weird interests but like, they work?? She gets so excited about them, and like, she cares about her friends a lot…..look all I’m saying is I want her and Chiaki to be friends again please indulge me. Also, also! As stated….several times, we do have a Gundham who ships Sondam…..so like…...yeah they should date, right? It may take some time but they’d be really cute, wouldn’t they? Yeah they would
Kazuichi Souda: Probably, without a doubt, the butt monkey of this cast, but I love him a lot honestly. He….tries his hardest and I can appreciate that, and I like the rivalry he has going on with Gundham. It’s an interesting, if not probably played for jokes, dynamic, and our group would love to see more of that! Also…..he should totally be friends with Miu, I can see those two getting along to some extent, and who knows what kind of stuff they could make together. Please give us this weird, weird boy.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: Boss baby Listen, I just really like the fact that Fuyuhiko is apart of a mafia and that’s his talent but he’s like….the most responsible one in the group, it’s hilarious. He had a bit of a rough start, but damn did he have some nice growth as a person. I love him a lot and I just really want to see him interacting with all of these character please and thank you.
Peko Pekoyama: What kinda name….but also, I feel obligated to have Peko on this list if I have Fuyuhiko. They’re such good friends and they’re not sly at all with their crush ok, try and tell me they are. Let her be with her friends again….do the slow-burn ship if possible….give us a Peko please, I beg.
Hajime Hinata: Another protagonist! Wow! Hajime is, without a doubt, my favorite out of the male protags, and he’s a really good boy who somehow put up with this cast, like how the fuck? Though, I suppose if you do want to rp Hinata, he’d only have so many canon points to choose from, given the whole Izuru situation, you feel? But it’d be really nice to have him back, regardless, these kids need their leader again or else they’re fucked maybe probably.
Ibuki Mioda: Weird….weird girl. A lovable girl! But still very much weird. A musician who had like….a flamethrower on her guitar or something? What the fuck even was that, I’m still lost. One of her voice lines is her saying meow too like….is she a furry?? BuT, looking past the oddities, she’s...a really good friend to have, she just wants to help others find themselves, which is a really sweet we don’t deserve this girl.
Chisa Yukizome: Another odd girl, but still just as a lovable! You know….before the whole brainwashing thing. The Division Bell - Reylo Fic
Wasn’t sure if I wanted to start posting this here, but figured why not?
PREFACE: I am not new to Star Wars, but I am new to the Reylo shipping. When TFA came out I didn’t really latch onto a pairing, and of course now the TLJ is out I have seen what I should have seen AGES ago. I think I honestly didn’t believe that Reylo would ever be a thing because the dynamics of characters like that is MY JAM and so rarely happens when I want it to! So, that being said, I have never written a Star Wars fic. At least not one that ever left my brain (re: obsessed at a child/teen but didn’t know the wonders of fanfic).  So if I make inconsistencies with the canon (Legacy or otherwise), I apologize, also if I rehash stuff that’s been done a billion times I’m sorry but as of today I’ve read like five reylo fics!  I’ve been trying to read up on the back info on the Star Wars Wikia so bear with me!
Updates might be sparse (busy working adult, working on original fic stuff) but I’ve got an ending already in mind, so I should be able to push through until the end. Not sure how long it’s going to end up being but I promise to do my best and bring a good story no matter what.
Chapter 1 A New Machine
It starts with a death.
High above the Endor moon a battle of blades and wills rages. The Emperor laughs as his apprentice attempts to take down his only son.
Attendant Snoke stares out from an antechamber, he had visited the Emperor to view the new battle station. The Emperor had been trying to create a partnership with the Attendants and he was here to see if such a partnership would be fruitful. He and the guards that attended to the Emperor the had been sent away prior to the arrival of Vader and Skywalker but Snoke had stayed just out of sight. The Emperor always held his most important apprentice up on a pedestal and he wanted to see this dark force user.
Then he sees the betrayal of the Emperor. Vader was indeed powerful, but he was also weak. He had been built poorly. Snoke looks for an escape, he can sense the movements of the force and sees this battle station is on the verge of destruction. Snoke steals out the back and flies away in an emergency ship that only a select few of Palpatine’s servants knew about he also brings with him the few members of the Emperor’s small ruling council. Inside the ship is everything needed to build the Empire back from whatever vestiges the rebels leave behind.
Snoke manages to rally the support structure and secure a dozen of the credit accounts of the Empire before the New Republic freezes everything. In the darkness of of a quiet corner of the the galaxy he begins to rebuild what the Emperor squandered. The Emperor got his wish, the Attendants would create a partnership with the Empire, but it would be under Snoke’s command, and not a weak human like the Emperor.
If the Emperor had taken the time to see that he had built his Empire on weak foundations then maybe he wouldn’t have died, wouldn’t have made the mistake of letting Vader get the best of him. But now, Supreme Leader Snoke, began the search for his own apprentice, someone to help him secure his place in this faulty part of the galaxy and give the Attendants their rightful place of rule.
As the years pass he keeps an ear close to the ground and hears that the leader of the New Republic is not only an untrained force user, but the twin of Luke Skywalker and daughter of Vader. He thinks and plans at first to go after her, maybe he can turn her to his way, but when he reaches out across the chasm of space he finds a steel trap mind and one that would not be easily molded. It might bear fruit in the end but it would take too long.
He’s almost ready to give up on that option when he sees something even better. Leia Organa is with child. He knows then. He knows exactly what he needs to do.
Ben is born into a happy family. As a newborn he is all smiles and strong fingers. His parents feel complete. He was wanted. He was given everything he needed. His family loved him.
Ben is an infant. Some nights he wakes his parents up, they aren’t sure what is happening, but they are nightmares that scare him awake.
Ben is four years old. They are having dinner when he tells his parents about his new friend Snowman. They smile and chuckle thinking it’s a cute name for one of his friends. But how could they know the truth?
Ben is six years old. He is sitting in the office of the school administrator. Ben is stoic except for the hot tears streaming down his face. He had just set fire to the robes of a boy who had been bullying him about his ears. When they ask why he did it, he tells them his friend Snowman told him to do it.
The school administrator is as baffled as his parents. There is no such person or child at the school.
That’s when Han and Leia start to worry.
Ben is ten years old. He fitfully sleeps most nights, there are always bad dreams, and dark whispers on the other side of sleep. That night something else wakes him: the sound of a baby crying.
He gets up and not hearing it again steps out into the hallway. His parents are sitting in the kitchen talking in low voices, but he can tell it’s not a happy conversation. They have been arguing more frequently and even though they say it isn’t his fault, the voice at the back of his mind tells him otherwise. He’s not sure who to believe.
He doesn’t see a baby anywhere and almost turns to go back to bed when the voices of his parents rise slightly. He tucks himself behind a couch in the living room and listens to them.
“...going away...”
“...again?”
“...for a few weeks...”
“...you promised Ben...”
Ben frowns and he picks at the bits of Chewie’s hair from the back of the couch. It always seemed to be on everything. His dad was leaving again. His mom always got really stressed out before he left and sometimes after he left too.
It’s because he doesn’t love you. Snowman says. Ben ignores the voice at the back of his mind. He was already thinking it, but the reminder didn’t help.
His parents are getting louder and he tries to hunch into a ball to shut it and Snowman out but they are both getting louder.
It’s only a matter of time. They both really hate you. They’ll send you away. Snowman says sadly.
“No.” Ben mutters.
“What happened to the job here?!” Mom is saying.
“He backed out of the deal!” Dad replies.
“You mean you sabotaged it!”
“What? No!”
Louder and louder. They can’t be free because of you! Snowman shouts.
Ben’s face is covered in tears of fear and rage he stands up and screams. The furniture around him explodes away, pictures on the wall crack, the light in the hallway fractures and begins to hiss.
Finally all three of the voices are quiet. His parents are staring at him and all he sees in their faces is fear.
Rey is born into an unhappy family. Her mother was as kind as she could be, but she didn’t want to be saddled with a child. It was hard enough to get through a day without a child to care for. Her father would rather do his few trading jobs during the day and come home and drink after. Neither of them wanted a child. Everything was a trade, come and go, ebb and flow. And while they discussed the possibility of giving her up for adoption, they knew no one would pay a fair price for a newborn, not when it took more work to feed and care for her than it was worth.
The father tried to find some hopeless rich spinster to buy the child but not a lot of people were willing to deal with dirty junk traders like them.
Rey is two years old. She’s been inconsolable all day. Something is upsetting her and the father and mother can’t figure out what’s wrong. They have been stranded on dirty sweaty Jakku for three months. Everyone’s nerves are already frayed and the broken ship isn’t getting fixed.
Ben is twelve. The day that Snowman--no, Snoke--had predicted was here. His parents were sending him away with Uncle Luke. He tries to hide his frustration and anger but Snoke is always at the back of his mind telling him to put that anger to use so he has a hard time keeping the resentment from showing on his face.
His father has never been very good about emotions. But Ben knows when he’s trying. Dad hands him a little wooden box. “Your mom says you’ve been getting into calligraphy, I got this for you from a merchant on Corsica.”
Ben takes the box and holds it like a baby. It will become one of his most cherished possessions. But it doesn’t take the sting away from being sent away.
Rey is five years old. She is having a bad day. Most of her days are good, she’s generally a happy child, full of light and life, she’s even become the joy of her mother’s life in some respects.
But today she is feeling like the world is ending. She keeps hitting things and acting out.
“I’ve had enough,” the father says. “Plutt has agreed to take her in exchange for a graphene chamber and 1000 credits.”
“Oh,” the mother says. She feels conflicted about it, but her nerves are shot and she really wants a drink.
They drop her off with Plutt and take the money. Rey doesn’t realize they are leaving her until she sees them head for the ship but the man named Unkar Plutt is holding her arm. They don’t look back. Rey cries for them to come back. She wonders what she did wrong. The day just never got better.
Ben is fifteen years old. He has woken up to his Uncle holding a lightsaber over him.
Do it. You knew this day would come. Snoke says to him.
He opens himself up to the rage, he finally lets his anger lead the way. His own uncle was thinking about killing him. Bad enough that his parents had sent him off to this godforsaken planet with a dozen people he didn’t know. He hated it, he hates his uncle. He destroys everything around, the little hut that each of the students got crumbles around him and buries Skywalker.
The other students come out to see what happened.
“Luke Skywalker just attempted to kill me! We are not safe here. Come with me.”
Some of them try to argue with him. Some try to figure out what happened. Some try to say that Ben is the one at fault. Those are the first to die. Blinded by rage he kills one by one the other students who didn’t want to come with, and with the handful of others he steals a ship and flies into the waiting grasp of Supreme Leader Snoke.
As he kneels at Snoke’s feet, the ancient creature of a man stands tall. “Kill Ben Solo. He means nothing and is nothing anymore, but now with me you can mean everything. That is a mask given to you to hide who you truly are. I give you the name… Kylo Ren. Become who you are supposed to be. I will make you strong Ren, follow me and we will hold this galaxy together.”

i just saw an ask about badlands as a fic title so why not hopeless fountain kingdom (bc im trash)
It’s true, I did do “Badlands.” I hadn’t actually listened to the new album yet, so I had to do that real quick to be able to answer your prompt!!
(An hour and a half later:) HFK has such a different vibe from “Badlands.” It’s a little more mature. As much as I would have liked to make HFK the sequel to my Badlands concept, I think it HAS to be different, just like HFK should be treated like its own piece of work.
The Prologue is just a recitation of the prologue of Romeo and Juliet, so I guess we’d have to go with a dynamic like that, right? According to the wiki, the album revolves around two characters named Luna and Solis belonging to two different houses called the House of Aureum and the House of Angelus. The Angelus family rules over the kingdom, while the Aureum family lives among the common people. When heir to the throne Solis Angelus falls in love with Luna Aureum, chaos ensues. The Hopeless Fountain Kingdom is a sort of purgatory for people who are too bad for heaven, but too good for hell. Luna and Solis are supposedly the only two people born inside the Kingdom. The whole thing is based off of my favorite adaptation, Romeo + Juliet.
Castiel is the fallen son of the powerful and influential Angelus family, Dean would be Luna. I’m definitely feeling the Endverse vibes the deeper I get into this concept. It’s a story about twisted people, overcoming demons, and learning to trust in what you know you deserve.
Send me a fic title!
The Prologue: Well… it’s…. yeah.
100 Letters: The start of this journey begins with Dean breaking off an abusive relationship. Pick your poison: Alastair, Cain, or Arthur Ketch. Any of them work. This is Juliet refusing the Paris character: he’s controlling, and on some level Dean believes that he deserves this, but ultimately puts his foot down and walks away, determined to do better for himself.
Eyes Closed: Dean meets Castiel. At first he’s not sure if he wants to get into a new relationship with another man; his trust is a little damaged and he’s hardened. He can’t quite escape this feeling of unease when he’s with Castiel, sure that he’ll leave, sure that he’ll turn out rotten like the guy he’d just walked away from. He’s afraid of repeating the past by moving too quickly.
Heaven in Hiding: This is actually part one of a two part scene -  the first person’s perspective of a party, and the second comes in with “Alone.” HiH is told from Dean’s perspective: he and Castiel are spending some time together at a party, really only talking to each other. Dean’s loosening up, secure in the fact that Castiel probably is as good as he seems to be. He’s eager to please, eager to pull him in and keep him close. There’s a strip tease in here somewhere, in a dark corner with cups of alcohol in their hands. It’s not too serious yet between them, but he wants it to be.
Castiel is the second perspective (Alone), and just like in canon, he’s attached to Dean but he has a problem with communication. He’s hard to get a hold of, still kind of flighty even though he doesn’t have eyes for anyone else.
Now or Never: Dean decides what he wants and he puts forth an ultimatum. Time to lock it down. Riding off the heels of his impulse to do better from himself in the beginning, this might actually be Dean at his strongest and healthiest.
Sorry: Castiel’s apology and a promise. But the words echo in Dean too. He isn’t perfect after all; and he issues his own apology to Castiel about the fact that their whole relationship so far hasn’t really been a Relationship, just mutual longing and a whole lot of mixed signals and complications. There’s a moment when they think they just aren’t meant to be and decide to part ways. It’s sad, the real climax of the story. (Hi, Season 6, missed you too)
Good Mourning: In the wake of his and Castiel’s mutual parting, Dean’s laying in bed, drunk and little high, making some bad decisions, thinking about hopelessness. It’s a weird fever dream of a time.
Lie: Dean’s not finished. He doesn’t like leaving shit like this with Castiel. He initiates a confrontation about not giving up on him, on them. He can take back the ultimatum; it doesn’t have to be Real Love for Dean to be happy. He’s just tired of feeling lonely and directionless. It’s kind of a tough moment, because all the fears from Dean’s abusive past start to bubble to the surface here; we see how far Dean is really willing to go for love, and it isn’t hard to imagine how he ended up in the bad situation we found him in at the beginning of the story.
Walls Could Talk: We’re two years in the future now. Dean and Castiel aren’t doing terribly well. There are substance abuse problems that they haven’t addressed, and because Dean excused Castiel’s lack of commitment two years ago when he decided that Castiel was what he wanted in the first place they aren’t as close as they should be. They fight (mostly at Dean’s own instigation), but they always make up in the end. It’s been a turbulent few years, wandering through a limbo of are-they-or-aren’t-they.
Bad At Love: Castiel’s point of view? Could still be Dean though. They are both quite bad at love in this universe, lol.
Don’t Play: Dean drowns his frustration in partying, trying not to think about Castiel. It’s sort of a little petty revenge stunt. Like, “You’re breaking my heart, so now I’m going to be an ass about it and you can see how you like it.”
Strangers: This is a great summary of where Dean and Castiel really are at this stage of their relationship. It’s a sort of wake up moment for the both of them. Oscillating between both Dean and Cas, they realize it’s sort of empty right now, and something has got to change if they’re going to move forward.
Angel On Fire: This is definitely Castiel’s point of view. It reveals Castiel’s disappointment in himself, starting with how he views his relationship with Dean and realizing slowly that this is all symptomatic of Castiel’s current lifestyle: partying, loose morals, that sort of thing. He remembers vaguely the person that he used to be and misses that guy, decides to clean up his act.
Devil In Me: Meanwhile, Dean reaches a similar conclusion. He vows to bury the “devil in him” that seems intent on ruining everything he touches, but to do that, he has to confront it.
Hopeless: The conclusion. Reconciliation. Working on themselves and realizing that they could be stronger together if they commit to working on it. They’ve burnt a lot of bridges to get here, but it might actually be ok.
Can’t help thinkin’ that I love it stillStill here, there must be something real‘Cause you know the good die youngBut so did thisAnd so it must be better than I think it isGimme those eyes, it’s easy to forgive.
It’s a happy ending. Promise.

FORTY FUCKING SEVEN
47) Do you have any f/f or m/m ships?
Funny you should ask Alicia....
Tumblr media
I’m gonna section this off because like Organisation.
F/F:
Right, first off, if they’re not related, and they’re ladies....assume I ship them in some capacity okay. But my faves...
ToG:
Manon/Elide: my main ladies forever lowkey sad/bitter that they aren’t canon. QoS is still the gayest thing I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life okay. The tower rescue scene was...everything. And Abraxos loves her too??? And so does Asterin? And they both drive so much of each other’s character development and fulfil so many of each other’s needs and I just *never stops screaming about malide*
Aelin/Manon: I feel like this should be self-explanatory like...u did witness that one scene in QoS did you not???  You know the one.
Aelin/Lysandra: also...self-explanatory.
Lysandra/Nesryn: LOOK THIS ONE IS REALLY ADORABLE OKAY??? and there’s fanart for it that’s forever branded into my mind because it too is adorable. Like there’s that one scene in QoS where Nesryn escorts Lys home and looks after her and I’m just like...yep that’ll do. But also it’d be cute?? Lysandra dressing Nesryn up in all these really fancy dresses and Nesryn just being -_- but doing it anyway because it makes Lys happy. Lys watching Nesryn train and just...drooling a little bit. Ladies being SO SUPPORTIVE OF THE OTHERS WANTS AND NEEDS THERE IS NO JUDGEMENT THERE IS ONLY SUPPORT. and really good sex.
mmm those are my main ToG ones (I’m probably missing sixteen different things but anyways)
ACOTAR:
ehehehhehe *rubs hands together with glee*
Mor/Nesta: tbh if you’ve been following me for any length of time and you don’t know I’m trash for this ship...well how??? I’ve written like...bucketloads of sin for them I mean? Also like, speaking of that sin this ship started as a vague hmm okay this might be kinda fun musing and turned into....domestic wives. because like..if you don’t need domestic, happily married mesta in your life then you’re doing it wrong okay you just are. they’re beautiful. tiny fierce hellcat and her court of nightmares princess it’s LITERALLY EVERYTHING. They balance each other out really well too? Mor’s composed fire and Nesta’s wild ice. But they both have a lot in common too? I think they’re actually both pretty reserved, for all that Mor wears her heart on her sleeve that doesn’t mean she lets anyone know her or truly lets them in or trust them. And Nesta is trapped behind a bigger wall of ice than Jon Snow and I just *sobs* love them opening up to one another and trusting one another and just fiercely defending the other against any man who dares look at them the wrong way. Also really hot sex. Like that’s just a given.
Mor/Elain: this one is @pterodactylichexameter‘s fault (most of these are your fault too, you know this Alicia) and it’s one of those things I just...enjoy any which way really? I just like them spending time together it’s really sweet? They just get on, there’s no drama, there’s no upset everything is just happy and mellow and nice and it’s lovely. (Except for when Elain ties Mor up in bed but you know, that’s a different story. Ahem) Please imagine morain as roommates though (Alicia this one’s your fault too) and sleepy Elain, hopeless gardener Mor (really, she’s terrible, Elain despairs) and holding hands and lazy morning sex, and colour-coordinated outfits okay. And giggly slow-dancing at Rita’s and eskimo kisses and just THEY’RE DRIPPING WITH SWEETNESS YET SOMEHOW I ALWAYS WANT MORE. (bonus consideration: Mor/Lucien/Elain ot3. Because. Mhm. I have many ot3s. Except more bonuses. They’re great fun.)
Mor/Feyre: what you should be getting from this so far is that Mor is bi af. Ahem, for the most part I will admit that I sorta prefer this one as platonic actually? They have...such a deep meaningful friendship and it’s beautiful? but at the same time I just cannot ignore the fact that the first time Feyre sees Mor she just....yep, this is Rhys’s female equivalent in the looks department....Not your most heterosexual thought ever, Feyre darling.
Listen, there aren’t enough non-related ladies in this thing for me to happily ship it’s very upsetting. (ie we’re now moving on to the dudes)
M/M:
ToG:
Chaol/Aedion: Look, I can’t re-read HoF and not ship Chaol and Aedion I just can’t. (Also they’re both bi af so that helps) but it just. look HoF does all my explaining for me just like re-read it with a Chaedion lens, you’ll have a lot more fun I promise.
Rowan/Gavriel: listen, my first thought when Gavriel appeared (and Aelin’s first thought too god bless you child) was: okay so this is gay. I never quite got over that. Also I refuse to believe that these two were like...emotionally and dramatically tattooing each other for the past century, half naked, in a small space with one another and things never got steamy I just don’t okay. I’m not letting go of this hc. You can’t make me.
...this is apparently all I can think of for ToG. Which is sad. I need to pull up my ship socks. Moving on.
ACOTAR:
oh boy...brace yourselves.
Lucien/Andras: my boys, my sweet boys, my prince, my sentry, my fox, my wolf, MY SONS. I’ve waffled about these two before but they just have...a truly wonderful dynamic. Because Andras in all his chill, affable, unflappable, loyal, wondrous glory is the only one who can deal with Lucien when he is young...and even more of a little prick than he is currently. And they’re dripping in angst which appeals to me as well (why do I always get attached to ships that are literally dead before we even meet them....Don’t answer that I know why) we could be here for some time if I go into details so I will just..move on. (Also, please read the scene where Lucien finds out Andras is dead with the idea that he was secretly in love with him...makes everything ten times more painful and make much more sense) (double bonus: please consider the world’s most pure and adorable ot3: Lucien/Elain/Andras)
Lucien/Rhys: hehehehehhe I love this ship. I’ve lowkey loved this ship There’s just...nothing heterosexual about their first scene together in ACOTAR. Nothing. At all. And these two have a History with one another. Also it’s just like snark to the power of twenty. really hot sex. and angst. what’s not to like??? (mega double bonus points: Feyre/Rhys/Lucien....don’t....get me started...on that ship. just. don’t. just take my word for it that it’s MAGICAL)
Lucien/Tarquin: shout out to @valamerys she gets full credit for this one I’m just putting it on here because I really like it toooo.
Bonus OT3s:
because this is where the real magic happens let’s be honest. I’m just going to mash all of these together.
Chaol/Nesryn/Dorian: I don’t really ship Chaol and Dorian on their own (romantically) as it happens. But fling a little Nesryn in there and I’m sold. Just...the image of Nesryn having these two boys wrapped around her little finger is...too delicious not to ship.
Mor/Dorian/Azriel: (Alicia’s fault tooooo...just assume everything from here on out is Alicia’s fault. also if you haven’t read Alicia’s doriel fic a)- you have not lived b)-do that now) Dorian would 10000% fall into a foreign kingdom, find the two hottest people around and proceed to have incredible sex with them this thing writes itself tbh.
Lucien/Aedion/Elain: this is like the mother of all cross-over ships okay. (And mine and Alicia’s favourite child. you shouldn’t have favourites. but we do) Elain with these two towering males attending to her every want and whim is...something special. And Aedion and Lucien have enough fire themselves to be able to handle the other. And they just work...incredibly well when you write them, they flow very nicely. Bit more emotional than doriel toooo these three would definitely set up house together and go the whole hog of just becoming a happy little poly amorous unit. This mostly consists of Elain bossing the two of them around and them waiting on her hand and foot and being delighted to do this.
Lucien/Andras/Elain: look I’m aware I already mentioned this lot but they are Special and they needed to be mentioned again okay. Andras is gay af but that isn’t stopping them, he and Elain still very much love each other and work together very well (they’re a nice little....moment of peace amidst the chaotic hurricane that being with Lucien always is. they take nice quiet walks around the gardens...and Elain enjoys sitting with wolf!Andras to watch over her while she reads outside) And the three of them together just balance and work so well??? it’s beautiful and just THEY’RE SO PURE. THE PUREST OF PURE. *starts sobbing over the twenty ‘Andras lives’ AUs we have so far composed*
...I think I’m going to end on that beautiful, pure note. there is no topping Elandras.
