Leo and Piper would be the best roommates.

Their apartment has a no pet policy but Leo makes a mini Festus and argues “he’s not a dog or cat he’s a robot! If he isn’t allowed then Barbara on floor 3 doesn’t get to have her roomba!”

They got to keep Festus.

Their apartment is either a cluttered mess or so organized to the point it’s scary.

If it’s organized they have no idea where anything is but if it’s cluttered they know where everything is.

Leo could throw pen cap over his shoulder and three weeks later find it back with ease.

They are the suspiciously quiet neighbors until one day when Leo just started screaming and Piper decided to harmonize and scream with him.

When their landlord knocked on their door they only said “finals” and they got a pass.

They watch horrible rip off movies like the Finding Nemo rip off Finding Jesus.

Their favorite movie is She’s The Man.

Calypso tries to show up to their apartment but Piper told Leo to hold her earrings and started fighting Calypso.

Not even a demigod fight it was a chick flick high school cat fight.

Piper dragged Calypso by her hair.

Leo and Piper both have their ears pierced just in case they get into a fight and need to tell someone to “hold my hoops”.

Because what’s the point of wearing earrings if you aren’t going to fight someone and make your friend hold your earrings.

Piper and Leo hate Barbara on floor 3 and her nasty casserole.

Leo is from Texas he knows a good casserole when he sees one and Barbara makes a horrible casserole.

Some Leo and Piper thoughts because I have no outlet for my feelings abt them

These guys are platonically soulmates and I love them dearly

I love the idea of them doing karaoke of or screaming along to pop songs together and especially doing silly duets

Additionly Leo being impressed by Piper's voice every single time she sings bc she has a lovely awesome voice

Im gonna make an au wherein they are fwb for my own mental health lol I just think that would be sweet as heck (maybe also poly with jason idk. or mybe thats even another au xD)

In general though they are usually just bffs

Leo likes to always show Piper things he's working on or asks her what he should make when he's bored lol

Piper also sometimes asks Leo if she looks okay and Leos always like why tf are you asking me I have no sense of style whatsoever lmao

Piper is Leo's main source of snuggles most of the time and she also lets him play with her hair and braid it when he needs a stim or when theyre just chillin

They also write and draw on each others skin w marker wjen they're bored and a lot of times they'll just have their arms covered in random misspelled words in the others handwriting lmao

Leo likes cooking and Piper likes baking and they both try each ofhers stuff that they make and gibe good feedback

Conversely, Piper likes to tell life stories in great detail when she's deep in conversation and Leo gets invested because really she's a pretty great storyteller but also bc he loves her

i think it would be cute if they made jewelry for each other

They like to banter and also fake flirt (and real flirt sometimes, depending lmao)

at some point really soon adter they met Leo was like hey what color are ur eyes and Piper was like actually i have no idea loll and then he just stared st her eyes trying to figure it out for several minutes and idk that image is just cute

piper also does that mom thing where if there's schmutz on Leos face she has to clean it off with anything she can find or sometimes her thumb lol, jason does that same thing and Leo's an easy target cus he gets dirty a lot lmao

Piper sings to Leo to calm them both down in the evening sometimes, not sure what songs she normally sings but they're like calm songs yk or maybe she just makes something up. Sometimes seh puts his name in the song lol

Ace/aro-spec characters in pjo/hoo: (or at least, the ones I feel are ace/aro-spec)

Annabeth Chase — annabeth is either asexual or demisexual. her relationships and feelings for others throughout the riordanverse series make me believe that she is most likely demisexual, but i do like the idea of her being asexual.

Reyna Ramírez-Arellano — reyna is canonically asexual, good for her.

Thalia Grace — thalia is also asexual. methinks that she is also demiromantic or better yet, greyromantic.

Bianca di Angelo — i think bianca is greyromantic and greysexual. or she could be aroace.

Nico di Angelo — nico is demiromantic methinks.

Rachel Elizabeth Dare — i personally headcanon rachel as aroace flux. now here me out– i think she might have convinced herself that she had a romantic crush on percy (since many aces/aros have done this before they realized their sexuality). after the events of tlo, she realized that she was on the aroace spectrum and her feelings for percy were queerplatonic.

Jason Grace — not completely sure about jason, but he is definitely on the asexual spectrum.

Leo Valdez — leo is definitely aroace or at least aroace flux. this is basically canon (we will ignore the unnecessary love plot with calypso).

Frank Zhang — not completely sure, but i think he may be asexual.

Zoë Nightshade — aroace. I accept no arguments.

jeyna, liper and amnesia angst

@them-awesome-rarepairs free day time! I’m not sure what this is really. Headcanons? Rambling about my thoughts??

So. We all love the Jeyna amnesia angst. And you may know of the theory/headcanon about how Leo and Piper were together but Hera replaced Leo with Jason in Piper’s fake memories. I am obsessed with both of these so let’s think about them existing together.

Jason and Piper have this feeling of being obligated to be together. Piper’s head is definitely a bit messed up from the fake memories, and Jason clung to her when he didn’t know who he was and he doesn’t know how to let go now. They’re not really romantically compatible, but they have to be together, right? Isn’t it fate?

Now, Reyna. Reyna never lost her memories. Her boyfriend disappears for months and she didn’t even know if he was still alive, then he shows up again with a new girl and seemingly no memory of their relationship. She is, understandably, crushed. Would she try reaching out to him? Because he seems happy with Piper, and would he even be receptive if she tried to remind him what they were – a goddess’s magic can be pretty powerful.

Leo didn’t remember him and Piper, and was (relatively) fine being Jasiper’s third wheel. But then he dies and is resurrected and the process wipes the Mist away and suddenly he remembers everything. Like Reyna, he’d probably feel guilty about breaking up Jason and Piper’s seemingly perfect relationship, so he just tries not to die each time he sees them together.

I advocate for Leo and Reyna siblinghood so they definitely connect over this. Sad sleepovers where they recount their relationships before the war, wishing their lovers could just remember. Fantasizing about beating up Hera/Juno with a hammer.

(And if we want a happy ending maybe they do do that lol. Force Hera to return Jason and Piper’s memories and fix everything)

what’s your headcanons and opinion on (platonic) liper?? i barely see anyone talk about them but their friendship means so much to me

I actually didn’t like Piper in the first book. I felt like, while she’d had to deal with a lot with her dad, next to Jason and Leo it looked kinda whiny. She also complains a lot about how Leo being annoying and hyperactive, when she is meant to be the socially aware one, she’s meant to recognise that Leo is only doing that because he’s hurting. And there’s also a lot of excluding Leo in order to spend time with Jason (every Jasiper scene I’m just there in the background yelling “WHAT ABOUT LEO???!?!!!”).

But Piper has some absolute GIRLBOSS moments, and I love the Native American representation, obviously.

Their friendship grew on me as the books went on. Maybe it was just Piper’s POV being right before Leo’s in TLH- I was impatient to just get to the Leo bits.

I love their ability to tease each other mercilessly with little-to-no hard feelings. It reminds me of me and my BFF. People forget that Piper is just as quick-witted and quippy as Leo- they both have an ability to weaponise sarcasm that I envy. I love the moments where their senses of humour just bounce off each other, particularly when Percy joins in too. They have some cute scenes.

Plus, Leo is the first person Piper opens up to about her dad being famous, so she clearly trusts him, despite thinking he’s annoying. And Piper is the first person Leo reveals his powers to (Jason is unconscious at the time). Yeah, they bicker like siblings, but there’s that mutual trust and connection there.

Piper and Leo’s upbringings completely contrast each other. Piper grew up rich- had everything except for the attention of her father. Leo’s mom gave up so much in order to raise him, but they still had nothing. But Piper loves Leo despite not really understanding his struggles. She supports him when she can, and she’s a space where he can be that idealised version of himself without fear she’ll see through him, which is sometimes what he needs.

They’re just silly and goofy together, and I love that.

a/n: apologies for the late upload but i started university yesterday and my little sister started high school so it’s been very busy in my house lol. anyways this fic is inspired by the popular (and i mean popular in like.. 2013) hc that piper’s memories of kissing jason on the rooftop were actually with leo. i LOVE LOVE this headcanon for reasons i can’t explain - what can i say, i’m a hopeless romantic, so here’s a drabble based off of it!

“C’mon! You’re gonna love this McLean.” Leo grinned as he grabbed Piper’s hand and pulled her through the hallway and up the hidden staircase to the roof. The Native American girl rolled her eyes at him, following behind him as he pushed the door open.

The rooftop was empty, except for the stuff Leo had snuck up during his spare period - fairy lights, two bean bag chairs from the Walmart two blocks away, as well as Piper’s favourite blanket which was honeysuckle pink and fuzzy on the inside. Piper gasped beside him.

“What the….” Her words trailed off as she turned to Leo. “You did that for me?” He looked at her, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. “Yeah. You uh, you mentioned wanting to see the stars like you used to in your grandpa’s backyard, and well… this obviously isn’t that but it’s at least something?” Piper stared at him for a second before throwing her arms around him. “Oh my god, I love you Valdez.”

Leo’s heart fluttered. “Love you too McLean. Cmon. I have Thor and Captain America plus that gross vegan popcorn brand you love.” Piper punched his arm before grinning at him.

“You’re such an idiot.” She said and Leo smirked before leaning into her. “And you love it.” He looked down at her lips, before looking at her eyes and the way they slightly widened. “Maybe I do.” She whispered in response and Leo hummed.

He flashed Piper a grin and she rolled her eyes before grabbing his face and kissing him.

piper and leo first meeting and getting to know each other at wilderness school detention

piper and leo trying to one-up each other on who’s had the most delinquent experience

piper and leo making fun of wilderness school and its cheesy slogans

piper and leo laughing at the popular girls and cool jocks from the sidelines

piper and leo absolutely refusing to take formal events seriously and escaping in the middle of them to just walk around the campus

piper standing up for leo when the other kids would bully him and take his things and push him around and call him names. she tells one of them to “eat dirt” and the two of them get taken aback as the kid actually gets on the ground and scoops a handful into his mouth. he’d snap back into reality a second later and spit everything out and run away in fear. piper and leo make for the opposite direction just in case he comes back with reinforcements, but they’d be laughing as they run. “that’s insane, pipes! how’d you do that?” “no idea, but it was worth it”

leo taking the hit for piper without any hesitation after she almost gets caught in one of their shenanigans that would have led to the school sending a report out to her father if she did. “no sir, it was all my fault, no one else was with me sir, yes sir i know it looks like i was in two places at once but im just a fast kid sir, i mean you’ve read my police reports right ahaha”

leo intentionally making his grades low in math because piper is at the bottom of the class and he doesn’t want her to be alone and he helps her out when he can, and the math teacher wondering how this student who has initially gotten straight-A’s in class is suddenly doing so poorly

piper and leo having ridiculous competitions on who could play the better practical joke on coach hedge

coach hedge knowing the sudden increase in pranks on him was piper and leo all along but doesn’t say anything about it for the most part because he’s an aging satyr who has always wanted to be a father and he thinks, so this is what it must feel like to have kids

piper and leo getting caught eventually and then forced to run more laps than usual under the guise of punishment, but really this was coach hedge’s way of secretly training their endurance. the other kids laugh at them at first because wow, what losers, and expect them to not even last three laps until the grins melt off their faces as they watch the two finish eight, nine, ten laps and still keep on going and even having casual conversations as they run, seemingly unbothered and not even looking anywhere near exhausted

piper noticing leo’s shoes starting to wear out, soles peeling off and everything, and the other kids making fun of him behind his back for it. he hasn’t bought new ones in years and they’re falling apart from all those times he’s had to run away from the police. piper decides to use the money her dad left her to buy him new ones. the other kids gawk as he comes to class wearing brand new kicks.

piper and leo building a secret hideout in the woods near the wilderness school dorm to escape all the “normal people.” they find supplies in an abandoned toolshed. they easily sneak out more materials from the school’s supply rooms. leo teaches piper the basics of building a small shelter. piper is a quick learner, plus she watched her dad and grandpa do similar things before. they find out leo has an eye for interior design, and together with piper’s innate sense of style they build a cozy hideout, small enough to be unnoticeable, big enough for the two of them.

they find an old fashioned kerosene lantern in the toolshed. piper tries to light it in their hideout, but leo flinches as she stumbles with the matches. leo takes it gingerly from her and says he’ll light it himself outside. piper side-eyes him at first but notes the genuine concern in his voice. sure enough he returns with a glowing lantern, and they’re both delighted. only later did piper realize he never took the matches with him outside. but she shrugs it off “maybe he has his own pack” it never once crosses her mind afterward.

they fill their hideout with things they don’t want the other kids and teachers to find: stolen items, snacks, things from their home, school projects they were actually proud of, drawings of random stuff. leo puts up a picture of his mom. piper puts up a picture of her father and grandfather holding her as a baby. piper points to one drawing leo put up. “is that a flying ship?” “yeah, just something i remember drawing when i was younger” “huh, crazy” and they carry on.

piper and leo suddenly encountering an actual monster in the woods one night, and they both freak out but find themselves actually being able to dodge and outrun the monster’s attacks. hedge eventually rescues them and kills the monster, and before the two could ask questions he immediately performs a memory erasing spell with his nature magic, because no, it’s not time for them to know yet. and coach does everything he can to give them even just a few more moments of peace away from the dangers of the demigod life before he can take them to camp.

piper and leo finding comfort in each other because up until they met they’ve never found anyone as reckless and rebellious and impulsive as themselves before, and because with each other they finally get to be the teenagers their lives didn’t allow them to be.

day five : ‘and there was only one bed’

*claps hands together* now where to begin?

let's say they've been dating for a few weeks (still in the awkward first stages), were driving somewhere, and the car crashed and needed to be towed. that leaves them in a cramped motel with— you guessed it

only one bed

jason (gods bless this boy smh) being the polite somewhat flustered boy he is, offers to take the floor

"NO."

"..o-okay." o////o

thing is, while his offer was purely out of manners, as they all get onto the bed, they all realize that they literally cannot lie down side by side because the bed is.. way too small

they tried jason in the middle, because really, the guy's bigger than both of his partners combined

and it worked! yay!

well, for a while, anyway

because with leo ‘i'm a living heater’ valdez on a completely different side of the bed, that left piper kind of, well, cold

(the blankets were cheap and thin, what do you want? :/)

and so ensued— the blanket tug-of-war

jason literally just wants to sleep™

piper is literally half-awake, but still somehow winning despite leo's best efforts

he's immensely bothered about that, so—

"OKAY YOU KNOW WHAT?"

he fumbled a bit, trying to get jason's arm off, then basically just lays down all starfish over his partners, arms wrapped around their waists

"i'm tired. i don't like fighting. and it's 3 in the morning. goodnight."

and just like that, he gets knocked out by his own exhaustion

piper kind of just blinks at him like what just happened?

jason, barely registering anything that's happening: "night, leo."

piper can't help but chuckle a little. at least she was warm now, right?

"welp. goodnight, boys."

Jasipereo things:

Leo and Piper are both the Jealous Type but react in different ways. If someone is flirting with Leo or Jason, Piper will immediately start sending “don’t even fucking think about it” passive aggressive vibes until they back off. Leo will just try to keep them away from Piper or Jason like “heyyyy Jason why don’t we go over here or literally anywhere where they aren’t :)” Neither will ever admit they’re jealous.

Jason doesn’t get jealous very often but when he does he actually gets a little scary. Subtly is not his thing. He’ll growl and be like “This is my boy/girlfriend fuck off, grrrr.” Leo will try to get him jealous on purpose partly for kicks and partly because he thinks it’s hot

Piper will get annoyed if her boyfriends aren’t spending enough time with her. Quality time is really important to her.

Jason engages in way more shenanigans with those two than people think. He acts all level headed and responsible but Piper will be like, “Leo isn’t paying us enough attention because he’s busy with that project, so I think we should paint all his tools neon pink,” “Horrible idea. Neon green is his least favorite color let’s do that.” “Tight”

Whenever two of them are annoyed at the other about something petty they will just gang up and prank them.

Once Jason and Leo pulled the classic all your furniture is on your roof now prank on Piper but they did it to the whole cabin which is dumb bc some of the Aphrodite kids had favorite blankets or mirrors get broken or dirty and saw it as a declaration of war. It began the worst prank war at camp half blood in 33 years. Jason and Leo blame it on the Stoll brothers who take the credit bc they don’t want anyone upstaging them

Leo always prepares gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays weeks or mornths in advance but will forget when the actual day comes up because he lost track of time working on a project.

Jason never forgets a birthday or anniversary but is a truly terrible gift giver. He never know what to get someone and end up giving almost weirdly practical gifts, like an umbrella or a spare tire. It doesn’t help that his boyfriend can make anything and his girlfriend’s rich and can buy whatever she wants. Eventually he just started surprising them with stuff like breakfast in bed and nice dates instead.

Piper is a genius gift giver. She’ll find the exact thing you didn’t know you needed but will use all the time. Or she’ll find clothes that somehow fit you perfectly and are way more flattering than anything you could find yourself.

Jason and Piper don’t have any personal connection to Christmas. Jason never celebrated Christmas growing up because they celebrated all the old Roman Holidays at Camp Jupiter. Piper and her dad never celebrated Christmas either (although sometimes they’d go to celebrity holiday events she hated). Leo has a lot of fond memories with his mom from when he was younger though and really loves the holiday, so every year they go all out for his sake.

PJO friendships part 2🌊⚡🌱

After the war with Gaea, Grover, Percy and Annabeth had non-stop sleepovers at the Jacksons' apartment because Grover could feel Percy's pain and trauma through their empathy link and he would rather die a thousand deaths than to let his best friends suffer alone.

Some days, they don't do anything, they just chill, Grover on the floor, reading magazines about climate change, Annabeth is laying on the bed, reading a book or doing architecture stuff while Percy is playing with her hair (he learns how to braid her hair because it calms him).

Percy introduces Piper to Grover, and they immediately start talking about nrw tofu recipes, while Percy runs away to Hesburger.

Reyna visits Nico often, and she becames good friends with Hazel, Annabeth, Piper and Rachel. Piper teaches her new stuff, like surfing and celebrity magazines, Annabeth and her talk about battle stuff, Hazel and Reyna have the best gossip from CJ, Rachel and Reyna start binge-watching Supernatural ("it's not supposed to be like that! you call that fight?").

Percy and Rachel regularly hang out, they go on burger dates, talk about school, prophecies and a few times Rachel has managed to drag Percy to an art museum.

Thalia cried a lot when she met Annabeth in August, she came soon as she heard about the fight and she wasn't prepared to see her baby sister's shattered eyes and new scars, they way she would flinch everytime someone other than Percy touched her. Thalia would sleep either inside or outside the Athena cabin, even though it broke her heart to hear the screams. She wanted to kill Hera.

Leo died, came back, saved Calypso and said goodbye as she joined the Hunters of Artemis and he moved in with Piper and her dad.

Piper and Jason broke up because they realized their relationship wasn't real but remained as good friends. Piper actually realized she's bi and started dating a cute cheerleader from her school.
