So i just finished the Dahmer series.
I hated Jeffrey. I think what he did was disgusting. His mom was a bitch. His dad was a dumbass. His stepmom was “nice” but never actually helped with anything.
The victims deserved better. They deserved a memorial at least.
But. But. Hear me out. The story about Jeff repenting was true. The prison church said that. And as much as he was fucked up and deserved to die, the inmate did not have the right to kill him.
Jeff. Idk. I think he’s still going to hell ya know but thats not something for me to say, bcs im not god. I do believe he was trying. He was trying to understand what he did was wrong. He was trying to get punished bcs he knew he was wrong.
As much as i was annoyed by the dumbassery of the father when Jeff was younger, Lionel didnt deserve to find out his son who just told him he wanted to get baptised and do better…is now dead. That was just so sad. I cried. I cant imagine the hate he have for himself. All now his son is dead.
I hope he finds at least a tiny amount if peace with himself.

Sheri Dahmer died, she was 81 :( Rip she was a very supportive to Lionel and Jeff both
I don’t like that they’re calling her stepmother of notorious cannibal killer though because she seemed to be very sweet and awfully forgiving of Jeffrey considering the timing of her marriage and his extracurricular activities.
Poor Lionel. I know she had been sick with a down turn of health but he’s got to be taking that hard. I feel really bad for him with everything that resulted from Netflix’s Dahmer (not blaming Netflix but blaming the girls who think it’s cool to throw their underwear in his yard and) and his caretaker having to take up a firearm to feel safe and keep people away. I can’t imagine he will last long, he seemed so devoted to Sheri. ( my grandma recently passed and my grandfather misses her terribly and so it’s kind of like idk how long he will last either )

I’ve had these books for over 15 years and paid under $20 for each. I’ve been looking at the prices nowadays, and each book is usually $100 or more. 😳

When I’m ask myself these questions, a memory invariably returns to me. Not long after we left Pammel Court, as l drove down the street coming home from work, l saw Jeff alone at edge of the lawn . It had  been raining, and he was dressed in a winter jacket and stocking cap. As I neared him, l could see that he was flaining about, his arms in the air, his dog Frisky , barking loudly  as she cricled him wildly. For a moment, they seemed to be playing together, but  as  l pulled into the driveway , l could see that jeff had become mired in mud at the edge of the lawn, and was trying desperately to extricate himself. He was sobbing loudly huge tears cascading down his face, and I could see that his fear of being pulled down or swallowed up by the earth had sent him into a fullscale panic.
l ran  to him as l could, snatched him from the mud, and lifted him into my arms. l could see his face light up with great joy and sense of rescue. He was smiling and crying at the same time, his whole being flooded with his distress and had finally pulled him from the sucking earth . He leaned toward me, his arms wrapped tightly around my neck , and brought his face very close to mine. l can still remember the sweetness of his breath , the inmense gratitude l could see in his eyes.
l know now what my son must have felt at that  moment. His father had rescued him from what had seemed a terrible fate, and perhaps, in his young mind, Jeff might have believed that il would always be able to see his peril and snatch him from it.
But the part of Jeff that was most in danger was invisible to me. l could see only those aspects of his character that he chose to show, which resembled some of my own characteristics , the shyness, the general tone of acceptance, the tendency to withdraw from conflict. l suppose, like most fathers , l even took some comfort, perhaps even a bit of pride , in thinking that my son was a bit like me .

seriously? why there are so many post of people feeling so bad for Lionel Dahmer, like... first of all, he's as guilty as the mother, what is there to pity? I've seen interviews with the man (not the actor, who has done a fantastic job btw) and he's just like my dad, that's why i'm raging, he's choosing deliberately to forget he's got plenty of guilt in how his son turned out to be, how he abandoned him just as his mother, how he just tried ONCE (when he wrote that judge a letter) and he thinks "oh, but i TRIED FOR MY SON, I TRIED TO GET HIM HELP" Jesus christ, don't feel sorry for that man, just don't.
