I was thinking about the fact that Arthur knows how to speak Gnomish for Talia, and how to communicate with Sal when he is in his canine form, and then I suddenly thought, what if phoenix's have their own language as well?? like little bird squeaks and calls!! sometimes they can be heard when he's sleeping or thinking to himself, and Linus catches on quickly and just HAS to ask about it, and he eventually learns how to understand and speak phoenix :)

House in the Cerulean Sea – Linus works for magical CPS and is assigned tasks to spend time in orphanages that are designed for children with magic in them. He gets assigned to a case that is practically a death wish, as the antichrist lives there. When he arrives to the house, the children are more different than any of the others he has met before, and the same goes for their very attractive caretaker. But something is wrong here, and Linus is determined to find it out (for his report, obviously) before he has to leave to go back home.

"puppy love" + linus/arthur.

Sometimes it amazed Linus just how much he felt for his husband.

He loved him, of course—how could he not? But he also just. he had a crush on him.

Linus knew how ridiculous that sounded. Having a crush on your husband? Aren't you in love?

And yes. He was. But he also had a crush.

The kind of stupid, breathless feeling he got when Arthur smiled, his heart doing a little flip and his face heating up in a light blush. The warm, fuzzy feeling in his chest and overwhelming affection he felt when Arthur laughed. How it felt hard to breathe when he drew close.

It wasn't just that he was stunning—although he was, stunningly beautiful—it was just... everything about him. He was Arthur, and Linus was helpless to explain any further. How could anyone look at him and not see how radiant he was? How could anyone not adore him, once they came to know him well?

So yes, Linus still stumbled over his words sometimes when Arthur grinned at him, or fumbled and dropped things when Arthur flirted. His heart skipped a beat when they touched, and sometimes he'd blush when Arthur took his hand.

It was a little mortifying, and Zoe and several of the children loved to tease him about it, but he was so happy with Arthur that he couldn't bring himself to be upset.

(He confesses this to Arthur one night, feeling a little silly, and Arthur says, eyes bright and—is he blushing a little?—That he feels the same way. That Linus's—Linus's—smile makes his heart do a little flip, that his touch makes Arthur breathless, that. that he'd developed a crush when Linus had first came to the island, and it had never gone away.

Linus blushes and sputters because he's already not much to look at now, but then—and then Arthur, not unkindly, wallops him with a pillow and tells him to stop being so down on himself. This devolves into a pillow fight which somehow devolves into kissing which. well, one can extrapolate where that went.

And if in the end, they're left entwined and trading kisses, both breathless and somewhere inside hardly able to believe they're here with the perfect man, well, that's their business.)

What If It’s Us? – When Ben is taking a box full of his ex-boyfriend’s stuff to the post office, he meets Arthur, an actor shooting his shot at the Broadway scene. The two of them keep finding the other, despite the fact that neither of them are really searching. Arthur tries hard in their relationship, but Ben doesn’t try hard enough. A story of two teenage boys and them juggling their love lives and personal lives.
