the man called otto au, old man!sj and the luo family. he was not able to escape wyz in the iac bc wyz decided not to sneak into it, instead spending that week in a brothel to waste away a truly big bag of coin he was lucky enough to snatch.

cw // suicide attempts, suicidal thoughts

bc of this sj wasnt able to find out what happened to yq and cultivate,and so stayed a mortal. one day wyz comes across another kid, and tries to off sj since he'd outlived his usefulness. sj outsmarts him, so wyz just leaves with his new assistant, not finding sj enough of a risk to keep alive.

sj wanders, able to get by with money he'd acquired via the things wyz taught him--all very much illegal. one day he stays a bit longer in a town, and ends up staying the night in a brothel. apparently when you assist them in kicking out a horrible customer, they wouldnt mind it so much if you were to sleep in their storage room for free. (his pretty face also helped lmao. the only privelege sj has is pretty privelege, but even that doesnt come often). one night turns into a few days, and a few days turns into a week, and suddenly sj works there.

there he becomes friends with some of the prostitutes, and finds himself with a pseudo little sister with the name sisi

a few years pass; by this point hes a young adult. sj decides to travel around. he still hasnt accepted that yq could be dead (even if his head tells him its very likely yq is), so traveling would mean possibly getting closer to wherever yq may be. he moves in the general direction of cqms, as that was yq's destination. he goes through towns, cities, forests and roads, takes on odd jobs and errands but never begs--never again--yet despite all of that no hide nor hair of his older brother can be found. sj considers going to cqms directly, but if he were being honest...

yq tended to see the good in people. while not a bad thing in itself, it usually led to shitty things happening to people like them. added with the fact that yq was a runaway child slave with no money, wore clothes that kept the cold in rather than out, was illiterate and never learned how to mapread, had never traveled so far on his own with only a vague sense of where he was going, with unkown humans, demons, creatures and plants everywhere on his trek,,, the chances of sj finding his older brother decaying rather than breathing was too high

going to cang qiong and not finding yq there... to him, it would be as close to a confirmation that yq was dead. so he avoids it. (he doesnt stop himself from listening in on conversations about cang qiong, though)

thats how he spends most of his life, traveling and seeing the world, learning about all sorts of things on the way. he spends the freedom hed fought for in what he feels to be the fullest without being around people he doesnt already know. if yq really was dead, then hed be seeing the world for both of them while he could.

when days are too hard and the thought that he'd sent his qige to his death is too strong, sj feels the temptation to follow yq into the afterlife. the sword hed stolen and the dagger up his sleeve find themselves in his hands all too often on those nights, yet no injury ever appears on himself and he breathes just fine the following morning

one day he goes back to the brothel he used to work in, and discovers that sisi isnt there anymore. after catching up with his old friends he travels again, southward where the brothel theyd transferred some of their staff stood

eventually he and sisi reunite. she introduces him to her friend, meng shi, and her son, meng yao. hes appalled when he finds meng yao reading a fake cultivation manual, so he teaches meng yao how to tell a fake from a legitimate one. he also teaches him how to /get/ a legitimate one under a fair and affordable price. sisi wheedles sj into teaching meng yao more, so he does

sj goes back on the road, and somewhere along the way settles in a hut along the luo river. but even when he lives on the outskirts of the village, which was already a decent distance away from any cultivational sect, he still hears news of the head disciple of qiong ding peak's achievements in the defeat of tianlangjun. one thing leads to another and sj finds out that yqy is in fact his yq

a confrontation happens; yqy is beyond happy that sj is alive, if a little shocked and scared that all hes seeing is a ghost his mind conjured up. like canon sj asks why yqy didnt come back, and since yqy is a do or don't there is no try person (this mentality really fucks him up), yqy doesnt give any "excuse" as to why he was gone. he was a coward, incompetent and careless in his rush to go back to the qiu manor. the fact that he went back too late and /tried/ to save sj but found the estate in ashes didnt matter. to yqy, it is the end result that matters, not the effort and process it takes for him to get there. he didnt save sj, and that was that.

in the face of what sj went through, what he experienced was miniscule. look at them! while yqy was dressed in expensive fabrics with a face that looked no older than 20 bc of his high cultivation, sj was dressed in simple and cheap robes with signs of age, hardship, and days under the sun. what right did he have to stand here and make himself seem pitiful and sympathetic when he couldnt even save sj? in the end, all he says is a wretched "im sorry for not saving you."

(hc that yqy always had this mentality, it was just worsened by his shizun. yes hes totally downplaying everything he went through on his quest to try to save sj. yqy has serious self-worth issues)

sj refuses to go to cqms with yqy. hes far too old to cultivate so all he'll end up doing there is be a servant. in sj's view that was akin to returning to his old life, just under a different master in a far bigger "estate"

yqy visits often, leaving behind trinkets sj could pawn or sell and bags of money to keep himself fed and warm. he tries to reconnect with sj, but (like canon, just even worse) sj is not having it. to sj, these "gifts" are bribes for him to stay quiet to keep yqy's pristine reputation. sj drives yqy away, but always finds himself watching as yqy leaves. it seems that therell always be a small part of him that wants his older brother back.

as sj gets older he gets sicker, experiencing aches and pains and dreaded headaches.

yqy notices, and so starts to leave medicine as well.

the longer this goes on, the more yqy looks sad and regretful. the dark cloud that hangs above his head grows darker each time he arrives and is chased away

sj abruptly thinks that he should disappear. when he was gone, yqy was doing well. its only after he showed back up in his life that yqy seemed to start being more miserable.

it of course didnt help that sometimes one of yqy's martial siblings accompanied him on his visits. always staying on the outskirts of his property, but always with an odd and/or dissaproving look on their face. sometimes, sj would faintly hear them tell yqy that coming here wasnt worth it, or at least something similar to it (sj doesnt see the harsh and downright terrifying look yqy would then send that person)

the first time he seriously tries to end his life, it is unexpectedly cut short by a rapid knocking on his door

THIS IS WHERE THE LUO FAMILY COME IN!!! mme luo comes knocking on his door one day, carrying a small feverish toddler. she has no money to go to the nearest doctor (this particular doctor likes charging too high), and the closest neighbor that hasnt already ignored her pleas for help is sj

sj aggrievedly lets her in, giving mme luo an appropriate dose of medicine so she could be the one to coax the kid into ingesting it. the child ends up recovering fairly quickly, and as thanks mme luo leaves a delicious plate of fish in a woven basket for sj

sj returns the basket. mme luo fills it again with another dish, this time with a bowl of sweet and sour pork with bokchoy soup

following the movie, everytime sj (otto) tries to khs, his attempts are unkowingly thwarted by the people hes shown kindness to

at some point mengyao (now very newly named jgy!!) encounters sj again. jgy doesnt stay long, since he does have to return to the jin sect, but he helps around the house. he cooks sj breakfast, teaches binghe etiquette, and becomes an indulgent culinary student to a very eager to show off binghe

each time someone barges into his life, sj always tells them to fuck off. most times he lets them in anyway, but others he shuts them out.

he goes too far one day, so mme luo does her mom thing and somehow gets him to open up. shes always tried to get him to do that, but sj always closed himself from others. this one time, sj tells her about his past and explains why he acts the way he does

while it is indeed the only time hes done so, he begins to allow himself to grow closer with others and let them get to know him, just as much as he gets to know about them

eventually, very slowly, qijiu begin to reconcile. yqy finds the courage to tell sj that he was hasty and was trapped within the ling xi caves, that he did go back, just too late. while theyll never be like they were before, they still had each other in the end

it would be nice if, unlike canon, him helping people inadvertently gets him to live, yk? kindness spreads kindness, that sort of thing

(note does this count as spoliers to the movie??? maybe but just in case SPOILERS!!!)

OH MY GOD EVERYONE LOOK AT ME I JUST WATCHED MUTANT MAYHEM YK THE MOVIE AND WOW I LIKED IT I WOULD HAVE TO SAY...MIKEY OR DONNIE IS MY FAVORITE AND AHHH I LOVED THE ART I WAS SCREAMING WHEN MIKEY SAID COWABUNGA

Anyway, on further notice, the April x Leo...we will see how I feel about it. I felt a little stingy after seeing 2012 Donnie and April; it practically was the same scene. but nevertheless, I will be willing to give this a shot! My guy leo deserves love and he is a teenager! So of course he would fall for someone. Of course.

Anyways, all in all, I really like it, and I also like the concept of a new-found family. It looks like Splinter actually gets to have a love life that will seemingly (from the looks of it) last.

Also how, when the post credits play, we see the SHREDDER and that HE will be involved in maybe a new movie! But most likely, the cartoon SHOWS THAT THEY ANNOUNCED. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? AHHH, I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED!

Ahem. Moving on, at first I was kind of shocked at how squeaky (no offense) Donnies voice was, but it kinda grew on me after the end of the movie. i mean cmon, JUST LOOK AT HIM.

Of course his voice grew on me. Anyways I really liked the art style. First of all, it was so creative, especially how colorful it was! I mean, did you see Superfly at the arcade when he was with turtles? LOOK AT THAT EXPLOSION OF COLORS

Also the SONGS???? ABSOLUTELY ALL FUCKING BANGERS I KNEW ALL OF THEM (the ones with lyrics yk) I NEED MORE CONTENT OMFGGG AHHH AND ALSO they ACT like teenagers (no hate to Rise they did it great as well or any other version of tmnt its just it kinda felt a little more for adluts at times or mature but thats just me dont attack me ) BUT LIKE THEY EMBRACED WHAT GEN Z IS AND ALSO THEY ACT LIKE JUST SOME FUCKING GUYS IN NEW YORK (I only confirmed that information with my cousin who lives in New York I'm taking her word for but of course take everything i say with a grain of salt.)

Personally, I'm still down with my girl APRIL ONEIL! I liked their April! I personally still LOVE Rise April more then mutant mayhems but thats juust me being biased of course! But I love how they continued with the "April is like their sister" thing and am glad they made Splinter more of a father-like rise which I EAT UP they did great!

Also while I watched the beginning I noticed how early they brought Baxter stockman up. I was confused at first but later understood but that my dear readers begs the question

Is he still alive?

Well, the movie kind of makes it look like he IS dead, but in the scene where they had him, they just took him in with them, so does that mean he is still alive? Will he come back to his mutant family?? How will he react to Superfly, his first kid, being presumably dead?

questions and more questions or should I say curiouser and curiouser? (I'm sorry.)

Also, did any of you notice while they played the credits that THEY DREW MASTER SPLINTER FROM THE ROTTMNT?? I can't get the image now, but as soon as I do, I WILL SHOW YOU GUYS

I also love the references to the old turtles in the credits and, I think, some of the movie scenes.

And they also gave back Raph's sai's! Maybe they didn't want to upset the ahem uptight fans that are afraid of change, to completely tear down their movie (yes, I'm targeting you). (I saw what you did to rise. It was just a new weapon IT WASNT THAT FUCKING SERIOUS) But of course, if that was just their preference and choice, then that's cool too!

Anyway, that's enough from me. This post is going to get way too long if I keep going, i might overload your brains haha!

Final thoughts:

All in all, it was a fantastic film that I enjoyed watching. It was SO worth the year I had to wait for. (Don't ask me to elaborate, please.) Should you watch it if you want to get introduced to TMNT? YES! Should you watch it if you are already a fan of TMNT, who is a nice person who isn't afraid of change??? Yes, you should!

I promise, you will love it! or at least, like it somewhat, no pressure!

cuffing season

a jim hopper x reader fic

el has been begging hopper to go see a concert of some new up and coming artist. hopper doesnt get the hype until he finally hears you sing.

wc : 1.266

contains: reader is famous and kind of. an 80s sza i guess ??? idk u perform cuffin season and hopper is whipped.

a/n: as soon as i heard this song i think we all thought of him. confirmed byt the dozens of edits ive seen and shared so yall saw this coming. enjoy.

hopper loved jane with all his heart. her entrance into his life gave a new meaning to his world; a new sense of purpose (even if he sometimes likes to act like an all-tough macho man, almost everyone he was close to saw him for the big softie at heart he was.)

but god damn was raising a teenage daughter hard.

he gave it his all and he could tell that she knew it, remembering to say thank you after every nice gesture. she often liked to throw in a little hug as well. he was lucky she was a sweetheart.

but of course given her upbringing in a government lab and being suddenly thrust into the modern world, she wanted more. she wanted to fit in.

so hop wasnt surprised when she asked to go to her first concert.

she had seen a commercial on the television for it at mikes house while hanging with the party, the artist being a woman called s/n who was going to perform some of her songs that had become very popular recently. hopper only listened to his favorite stations, so hes never heard of her songs on the radio.

but, it was the middle of fall nearing winter, and there wasnt much to do in hawkins this time of year, so he reluctantly agreed to drive jane and the party to indianapolis to go see the concert.

(hes barely able to survive the drive. he loves these kids but jeez could they talk about everything but nothing for hours.)

eventually they check in at their overnight hotel before heading to the outdoor venue, their seats being more near the stage.

(this trip cost quite a pretty penny but only the best he could get for them of course.)

its chilly and even snowing a bit but none of the people here even seem to mind, most on the edge of their seats while waiting for the show to start.

jane and max are excitedly whispering amongst themselves while the boys watch on and occasionally join in.

as the lights start to dim in preparation for the show, hopper catches dustin bouncing on the balls of his feet with a big smile on his face.

"what are you so giddy about? probably just gonna be some regurgitated pop songs..." hopper mumbles, confused at the boys excitement.

"no way! you obviously havent heard her most recent song. ever since it came out girls have been all over me. im dedicated to susie but its super cool."

hopper is about to ask him to elaborate when the screams of hundreds suddenly rings out, the lights on stage coming back up to officially start the performance.

when the lights turn on and the music starts, hopper can feel his breath get caught in his throat at the sight of you.

you, probably the most gorgeous woman hes ever seen, looking like an angel in a red fur coat ready to bless the masses. hes too busy staring straight at you that he barely registers your greeting to the audience, and only starts to pay attention when you start singing.

your lyrics and the confidence you give while saying them makes his face flush like a damn teenager. he cant remember the last time (or any time for that matter) where he heard a song targeting someone built like him, most songs in the radio desiring someone younger, thinner, and more muscular.

there are other woman singing/rapping along with you saying little jokes about bigger guys that granted do make him chuckle a bit. but even though your part in the song is small, he mostly keeps his eyes on you.

near what hes sure is the closing of the song, as you sing your repeated chorus and move along to the music, your eyes lock on his and his heart damn near stops when your smile widens after looking him up and down, singing while directing the lyrics to him.

its cuffin season

and now weve got a reason

you wink at him before turning your attention back to the audience, wrapping up the song before continuing the rest. hopper feels a tugging on his arm, looking down at his beaming daughter who looks happier than hes ever seen her.

"shes so pretty! and i love her voice! isnt this so cool?!" she shouts over the music, slightly jumping up and down in excitement.

hopper smiles at her enjoyment, slightly chuckling along with her. "yeah, yeah shes cool, hon."

throughout the rest of the concert hopper finds himself enjoying it more and more, his eyes staying on you nearly the whole time. you make eye contact a few more times, and each time you send a flirtatious smile in his direction.

eventually the performance comes to a close, the kids still hyped and buzzing talking about their favorite parts. just as they're about to head out a security guard stops them.

"is there a problem? one of these kids didnt so something, did they?" jim asks, sending a pointed look in the kids direction, all of them standing still as statues.

"no, nothing wrong at all sir." the guard assures. "s/n is having a vip meet and greet backstage and invited your party to say hello and get some autographs."

hopper doent think hes ever seen the kids get so excited so quickly, but then again they were going to meet their first celebrity.

when its finally their time to meet you, you give them a great big smile and "hello!". you act so well with the kids, answering any question they have and taking a multitude of pictures. he stares on in fondness until you turn your attention to him.

"hi, your daughter told me your name is jim, right?"

"everyone just calls me hopper." he responds, trying to hide how hes slightly nervous in your presence. it was t everyday he met someone equally talented and drop dead gorgeous. "i uh...liked your song. the first one."

"mmm, pretty sure you more than liked it." you tease him, laughing when he looks away from you. "im glad you enjoyed it. me and my friends just wanted to show more love to guys of our type."

"your type huh? and im guessing by how you kept looking at me id fit in to your criteria?" he asks you bluntly, feeling proud when he sees you slightly flustered.

"youd more than fit, trust me-" youre blatant innuendo is cut off by your manager tapping you on the shoulder, whispering in your ear that you should start wrapping things up.

a deep sigh leaves you, sharing just another little moment with him before moving back to your table, writing something on a note and giving it to him with a smile.

he doesnt have time to look at it until later on during the drive home, most of the kids having tuckered themselves out from talking about the show and falling asleep one by one. he carefully pulls the note out of his jacket pocket, holding it in one hand while he drives with the harder.

its your name and number, with just a sentence of writing below them.

call me whenever youd like, big boy.

and in that moment, hopper has never been more grateful for his daughter.

Another random NY hc that I came up with (basically me rambling bout stupid stuff again):

(⚠️TW⚠️ abuse, alcohol mention, being a POW, and the slitting of throats)

So it’s basically canon that England is an abusive piece of sh*t, like we’ve all confirmed this. And Ben has that neck scar, so I was thinking "How did the states get those scars?" And then my brain clicked and said "NY’s scar definitely had something to do with England."

And now today I decided: "Y’know what? Fvck it I’m giving NY some sort of vocal issues, perhaps damage to his vocal cords/larynx." Then there’s the "How did it happen?". So ofc im like- Oh yeah I still need to find out what England did to give NY that neck scar.

So then I put all the pieces together and:

Basically im thinking two things:

-1. New York was protecting another colony or some other person that England was yelling at, and England grabbed him by the neck, dragged him away, and sl!t his throat, around the area where NY’s larynx (which is basically your voice box) is. It didn’t kill NY, but that’s only cuz Massachusetts found him and patched him up, though after that NY couldn’t speak very well because his vocal cords were damaged.

-2. OR: During the Revolutionary War, when England held NY captive for seven years, he would torture and beat NY to get "information" that York didn’t have. And uh- once the beating got pretty violent (as if it wasnt already-) because England was drunk and ended up doing some serious damage to NY’s neck/voice box area.

So um nowadays, York can’t speak very loudly without physically straining his voice to be loud, and his voice cracks when he does that. His yells/screams are quieter, his voice is quieter, and even his laughter is kinda quiet (which honestly makes it more adorable-).

Sometimes, he’ll be arguing with another state and it’ll get heated and he’ll raise his voice, only to have it crack a bit. Some states feel bad, some feel scared, or others just tease him about it (they usually mean it to be affectionate in a way, but NY acts like it doesn’t hurt him, when in fact it does. A lot.)

He was definitely the kid in school that would always be told to "Speak up" and "Talk louder" when reading. And he would strain his voice to be louder, but it would crack and he would be embarrassed when the class would chuckle about it. Only a few times has he run out of class because of it.

Ok- this part is kinda cute tbh. His laugh, which is very rare btw, is kinda quiet as well. See he’s got this soft squeaky-hiccupy high pitched fox laugh that’s really cute as it as, but it is somehow more adorable when it’s quiet, even though the reason for its quietness is very depressing. He definitely gets affectionately teased for it because nobody would expect a strong stoic moody NE state like New York to be able to sound so cute and sweet. There’s plenty of "Aww~ Who knew the big bad NY could have such an adorable laugh?~" or "Aww~ You should laugh more!~" teases.

Piggy backing off of the idea that Yves may of been born rich. That ask about his favorite foods also gives a new perspective to this idea as well.

Like we know that him trying the caviar wasn’t about the caviar itself but more so what it represents. Like the idea that he’s finally sitting (figuratively) at the same table as the people who were abusing him and consuming the same things they do. There’s a chance that he never even have such things even in his early childhood.

Like perhaps his parent(s) never allowed him to consume luxurious things despite the wealth or kept it away from him as punishment. Like he was constantly around it, but was never allowed to consume it. But was still forced to confirm to higher echelon etiquette because “you will not embarrass me”. That in itself would be a major mindfuck.

Perhaps he was literally locked away from guests for being “different” and mostly observed how his family and other blue bloods interacted with each other (this could possibly also be an origin point for his obsessively keen observance and mental documentation skills) and was only let out once in a while to not raise suspicion before eventually being thrown out or sent to a conversion camp which sent him on his initial spiral downward.

Yes that is true, Yves wouldn't care to let his kids try new foods, he would just feed them things that has all the nutrients to survive, but probably not the flavour to keep their sanity intact

Like id love to imagine Yves as this toxic almond mom whos ONLY that way to his kids, he doesnt have to be outwardly like mean about it but his aura that he emanates is disapproving when his kids eat something other than boiled chicken breast, rice and broccoli(and they dont wanna get into the deprivation sensory chamber again) like rmemever this guy counts calories like a cheapskate with money and went thru a fuckton of eating disorders

And he got them from his parents, so definitely he wasnt allowed to eat them fuckin caviars n scallops but he was allowed to ogle at them

But ykno i described yves as being super dumb a lot when he was young, so it naturally comes with the intense meekness and he was definitely a massive doormat due to his parents abuse

Holy shit anon u do raise a good point, his view on children is exactly like how his parents see offsprings, a tool to better their reputation at best, a parasite that needs extermination at worst. So if he doesn't act right into the duster closet he goes, but mostly he is quiet and obedient, blending well into the bluebloods.

However though, when he starts experimenting and liking more feminine things, getting caught happily twirling around in his mother's dress and playing with her expensive makeup... they go apeshit, berating him and beating the life out of him

Then just sent him to a horrific conversion camp, but i was thinking of like he didnt esxape from his family from there, like he was shipped back to his parents all traumatized then continued a couple more years acting hetero before being booted out to the curb

Still not sure how i wanna establish his entire lore tho, like i had an idea of reincarnation n shit for the main reason as to why he loved you so unconditionally, but that like doesnt fit the frame of storytelling that i want yet, im gonna focus on the present yves and keep his past a mystery for now

hey new draft making

i keep putting this off, but it today arrives! a ramble about ryan selucreh to fill tghe tag for once

(spoilers for mythborne ahead BUT ITS BEEN OUT FOR A WHILE FOR FREE NO PATREON REQUIRED PLEASDE CHECK IT OUT I NEED MORE MYTHBORNE FRIENDS IN MY JRWI MUTUAL CIRCLE)

so who even is ryan selucreh? well, hes a football jock and a big oaf, the stereotypical strong dumb athlete kid. however, theres more to ryan that we're diving into, years after the oneshot ended!

one thing to note on ryan is how his powers were gotten in a mix of ways aster and connor did. aster was born with them (assumed cause goddess mother), connor got them from a book (recieved from searching, wasnt born with it), ryan got his powers from squats. silly, sure, but like i said, its like the inbetween of the two. he has the power himself and doesnt need a book for them or anything, but he wasnt born with them either. i also wanna note how asters powers are like life (plants and the sun, both can symbolize life) and connors powers are like death (decay and disintegrating, both are related back to death), but ryans powers cant be "like" anything. its not something super showy, hes just super strong (strong enough to rip a mountainin half im pretty sure was confirmed).

lwts get into those comments ryan made, and how its reflected across the 3 episodes. yeah, the comments on faking his personality around people and how he doesnt know who he is anymore.

first showing of this is with the j crew. charlie gave a good idea (he was nicknamed jyan), but condi says he told them that. granted, it was probably to be funny, but theres other options to that. ryan missaid his name out of nervousness, the j crew misheard him, he wrote his name really wrong, so many different options that also are pretty comedic. yet, ryan told them he was jyan to join their team.

on the floatball jersey he wears, they didnt even have a 10 for him, simply a jersey with a 1 and a "poorly painted 0". did someone else use the 10? why didnt they have one? another way ryan changed for people symbolically, wearing one number but being another.

ryan joins in with the omnious curse speech despite it not being planned. an attempt to keep fitting in with his group there.

hell, ryan even was an ass to connor before when he was with the j crew, yet wasnt when he was with connor and aster alone.

he even goes out of his way to try and save asters dad, an act of carrying for her and her father. hes such a friendly and caring dude that hes trying to fit in with them all to keep up their friendships.

thats what makes the whole "i dont have a real personality" line mean so much. because he really doesnt. all that can be seen as his personality is simply to appeal to another person.

HELL IM FUCKING CONNECTING IN THE FACT THAR RYAN WAS A HISTORY MAJOR TO THIS! WHO EXPECTS THE JOCK TO LIKE HISTORY? NOT ME, I THOUGHT THAT WAS CONNOR, AND THATS WHY ITS SO INTERESTING, CAUSS NOTHING LEADS YOU TO BELIEVE RYANS INTERESTED IN THAT SHIT!!! ryan barely talks about his past or anything, minus the memory (but that was only to save professor aeliana), BUT HE DIDNT FUCKING BRING IT UP. kinda ironic, the character whos past is pretty unknown is in classes learning about our past.

oh yeah did i ever mention his parents are dead? cause they are (confirmed by condi a while back)

maybe thats why he tries to be so appealing to everyone, to make up for that missing link. i mean, its not like that event wouldnt have some impact on you (also no jrwi pc has gone to therapy from what i know so safe to assume he has no coping skills PLUS ITS A CONDI PC YPU THINK HES MENTALLY STABLE??).

another thing i learned: ryans last name is a backwards hercules. fun call back to the name, yeah, but the actual story may have some weight here...

the screenshot doesnt give the full story, of course, so i will. the picture leaves out how the reason he went through hardships was because he was driven to madness. according to research, hera was mad at hercules being born (for he was the product of zeus and a mortal woman), so she made him go crazy and slaughter his family. to make up for it, he was given 12 impossible tasks to do.

am i saying the full story applys? hell fucking no! i dont think ryan killed his parents or anything, but i think the jist can apply. a man trying to be forgiven by people for wrongdoings that wouldnt have happened if said people didnt make those wrongdoings happen. ryan trying to get the validation of his friends and acquaintances by pretending to be someone hes not, which wouldnt be needed if he could see friends accept people as themselves. given impossible missions (be someone else) to appease those who he looks to (whether its to the side or up to).

another thing to note is theres no episode cover with only ryan on it. cover 1 has all 3, cover 2 has background faceless frat members and connor, and cover 3 has only aster.

it could be from how there was only 3 episodes of mythborne, yet this could be solved by having all 3 in a cover at once. while it would have been a lot, they had all 3 in the first and a total of 4 characyers in thr second cover. this of course was a purposeful choice, and it shows in a way who the focus is meant to be on in that ep (all of them, connor, aster).

so why coupdnt ryan have been focused on in episode 1? yeah he was directly related to the chaos (j crew being first vicitms and shit), yet that clearly had a more general showing. its because ryan isnt a character who can be focused on. he crutches to his friends like a team relys to eachother, thats how he has purpose, thats how hes even a person.

i woulsnt even doubt the stupid bit being an act! to play in a sport, you actually do need good grades (in my school experience, above a C+ in all classes), and ryans been on this team since he started college (infered from dialoge with j crew member), probably since kindergarten even (has known j cre since kindergarten). he learnt it from them, and found it to be a possibly appealing trait of himself to others, everyone likes the lovable idiot! sure, what he does to play an act can be extreme, but if this is really thr coping mechanism i think it is, its not too much for him (also wanna note how of all characters ryan is the biggest stereotype caharacyer).

the 3rd episode btw seemed a lot from the cover and namr and all like the whole world was a fake (for me atleast), and isnt it fitting that ryan was the first to fall off the stage? the man, who had an identity crisis outloud for once after it seemed like one friendgroupd was about to learn his secrets, the first to exit stage down (stage direction jokes). hes been playong a play himself for what feels like his whole life by now, he doesnt need a script.

i came in here to talk about ryan, put him under a microscope, see who he is. really, ryans a shell of a person, a muscle soulless being pretending to be a person someone can love and care about. maybe he too thinks about how connor had changed inside to save him. whatever it is, i think ive not learnt from this who ryan selucreh is, and maybe if he gets aomething like this, he can learn himself who ryan selucreh is.

99 wandered through the halls of kamino. His step lacking his usual energy as he returned to his home.

It was confirmed. His mutations had left one last surprise blow.

He had always suspected. They had tried and tried and tried, with nothing to show for it. His love had suggested maybe it was her, that her family had a history of issues falling pregnant, but he knew it was him.

He wasnt mad. How could he be?

He'd lived with his mutations, his curse every day of his life. Accepted that despite the kaminoans best efforts he would never be the handsome, tall and strong Alpha clone he was designed to be. Like his older batch mates Alpha 17 and Fordo. He'd been bitter in his early days, resentful as his fellow Alpha clones went through training and became legendary soldiers while he was left behind, forgotten.

But he came to find his place, and enjoyed watching the spark, the fire and life in the eyes of his younger brothers as they proudly flaunted their well earned victories.

He wasnt mad, maybe it was for the best. Who knows what kind of issues he could pass on should he manage to get his Riduur pregnant.

99 shuddered, remembering the experimental treatments the kaminoans had inflicted on him in an attempt to salvage their property, force his body into fighting condition. 99 remembers his body twisting and rejecting the probes and medications and genetic alterations that had led to near constant pain his entire life.

And he couldnt do that. Not to his love and not to any baby they may have been able to have together.

He had felt better ever since his darling had come to him, all those years ago. So young and strong and beautiful, he had to wander why she was on a cleaning crew on kamino, and later on, why she would be interested in him.

But she was. She was more than interested. His Riduur had stuck by his side ever since he was shot during the invasion by Ventress and Grievous.

A soft smile made it's way he remembers how he woke up in the medbay, afraid he'd been hooked up to an examination probe again, but then he felt something in his hand.

Looking to his left, he saw his love there, waiting for him to wake up. Her beautiful eyes wide when he squeezed her hand.

It didnt escape his notice when the medic clones left, closing the door to his recovery room, giving them some privacy.

"Wh-what happened?" He had asked, groggy and confused.

"You were shot. Three times, 99." She said simply, her voice shaking.

The harsh, clinical lights of the hospital lit her hair up a bright vivid red. She was almost weeping as she took his hand in hers, pressing a gentle kiss to his palm.

99 felt sad at that. He never wanted to be the source of her pain.

"Please dont, uh. Please don't cry..." he stammered, his voice sore and weak.

His love just tilted her head, her eyes shiny as she pressed her cheek into his hand.

"Thank you." She had said.

"For what?" 99 asked. Still slightly dazed from the new sensations that came with her affection.

"For waking up. I dont know what your brothers would have done if you had died. What I would have done" she mumbled the last part out but he heard it clear as day.

Suddenly, she was everywhere. Her arms around his neck, his face in her hair and he felt a leg slung over his own.

99 had melted onto the hug, the crisp medical sheets crunching as he gingerly moved to pull her close.

99 felt something warm and soft against his neck and he almost died from shock when he realised it was his beloved, lovingly covering his neck in kisses before moving up past his jaw and to his lips.

His heart monitor actually started beeping faster, much to his embarrassment. But she just laughed. An almost hysterical sound, one that only came after having a huge worry lifted from your shoulders.

The lightness she felt brought her to 99, too caught up in her own happiness to consider maybe he didnt want her.

She stopped a hairs breadth away from him, so close yet not nearly close enough as her eyes flicked down to his lips, then back up again.

"Can I...?" She pleaded softly, her hand finding his and tangling their fingers together.

99 didnt answer. He had never been kissed before, or kissed anyone else but he didnt care.

He'd waited long enough for her.

99 crashed their lips together clumsily, his enthusiasm and sweetness more than making up for inexperience as he and his love sweetly sighed, breaking apart only to catch their breath before starting up again.

They made love for the first time that night, gently and slowly. 99 had never felt more right, more full and alive than when she was gently rocking beside him, holding him close.

His brothers had found them the next morning, coming into his room to see him and his beloved naked and entangled, not an inch of space between them, before swiftly turning and leaving.

They married a month later, making the pledge in the home they shared. He couldnt imagine not having her in his life, he needed her more than he needed air.

It didnt take long for them to decide they wanted a baby. Taking care of the nursery, of all the kids that had been rescued and taken in had left them with baby fever that both of them were all too happy to accept.

But as time went on and nothing came of it 99 had started to wander, was it him?

The older clone came to a stop, while in his thoughts he had walked clear across Kamino, all the way home.

He sighed, feeling disappointed and melancholy at the thought of his wife's disappointment, but he would not allow her to think the issue was her.

Walking into his home he saw her immediatly.

She was kicked back, feet hanging off the end of the couch as she watched a holo, snacks in reaching distance of her posotion, her hair a chaotic halo around her beautiful face as she turned to him.

Reaching out, she motioned to 99 to come join her on the couch, pulling him back against her and massaging his back when he sat down.

His love was all too aware of the pain he faces daily.

"Has it been bad today? You're all tense" she asked, kissing his cheek as he leaned back against her sighing.

"No worse than normal, my love. You make it better, as usual."

His beloved nuzzled into his shoulder, her arms snaking down his body, squeezing and kneading his soft, delicate skin.

99 sighed, leaning back and relaxing into his love.

"Were you missing me? Your so needy, Ahh..." he groaned as she huddled in next to him. Her warmth seeping into his aching bones as she pressed her body against his, her weight slightly on him comforting, like a living saftey blanket.

"I always miss you when you take off. Where have you been all day? I was worried when I couldn't find you."

"You looked for me?" 99 asked, still so starstruck despite the years that have gone by.

His love huffed.

"Of course I did."

99's beloved stared longingly at his lopsided face, taking in his features.

The premature age lines around his endlessly compassionate eyes, his crooked, droopy grin that she had always thought sweet.

If asked, she couldnt even describe his face, all she could say is he looked like her love.

He was absolutely perfect to her. She never saw his crooked back or limp. None of it.

She tilted her head up. Attacking the underside of his jaw with kisses and nips, humming when she felt him run his hands through her hair, holding her head firmly, but gently to him.

The familiarity and warmth of the gesture brought her to a foggy, mindless state that she could only describe as bliss.

99 wasnt much better, his head thrown back and groaning as his wife left a necklace of love bites around his neck. Her wandering hands caressing his tired, pained body. Rubbing and soothing the aches away.

99 wrapped his arms around her waist, turning them to their sides and slinging one of her legs up over his waist.

"Feeling a little excited are you?" His Riduur lightly teased. The new position implying and tempting.

"No, I'm sorry. I dont.... just... wanna be close to you is all...is, uh, is this okay?"

His love gave him that beautiful, reassuring smile.

She knew that he didnt have the most... drive. Out of all the clones.

Despite their usual slow and gentle pace, love making often left him exhausted and in pain. Despite her best efforts to alleviate it. It was simply a fact of life for him.

Their attempts at falling pregnant had taken its toll on him as well. So she was more than happy to have a cool down period.

And she did adore snuggling up to him, no expectations or need to satisfy. Just her and him, together and content.

"You know you never have to apologise to me. Especially for not wanting anything today. You've been so tired and sore lately... I was actually a little worried."

99 didnt move from her, choosing to keep his nose buried in her hair and his eyes closed. If this was gonna be his last moments with his wife, he wanted to remember how her hair smelt, how soft her body was against him and the soft ring of her voice.

Eventually, with her head still buried in 99's chest, his love asked again where he had been all day. 99 sighed, his self doubt coming back to him.

"I'm, uh. I'm not sure that's something to talk about like this." He didnt want to have to ruin the moment, bring it to an end. He wasnt ready.

His darling simply wrapped her legs around his waist tighter, running her fingers down his cheek adoringly.

"Tell me"

99's shoulders slumped, his head turning on shame as he looked anywhere but at her. As he ungracefully blurted everything out.

"I went to a medic. I, uh, I had a feeling why you havn't been able to... why I haven't been able to get you pregnant. Im sorry my love, it's me. I cant give you any children. I'm so sorry..."

99 looked to be on the verge of tears. This was something he and his wife had wanted desperately. He was afraid. He didn't want to see the disappointment, the SHAME on her face. Or worse, have to hear her tell him she's leaving for another man, one of his brothers even...

His worry was for nothing.

"Oh, 99. Please dont apologise. Theres nothing to be sorry for. Tell me, is it a danger to you? Anything to be worried about?"

99 still didnt look at her, burying his face in her chest.

"No, I'm fine. Or well, as fine as I usually am. I'm just, I cant, I'm, uh-"

"Infertile." His love provided helpfully, but not unkindly.

"Yeah. That."

99's love pulled him up from where he was hiding, in her hair, pressing her forehead against his.

"I know your sad, but please don't hide from me. I promise I'm not mad."

99 gazed at her, his teary eyes locked onto her own gentle ones.

"Your not, uh. You dont think I'm, I'm a disappointment, a failure?"

She got serious at this.

"Never. Not for one second. I want a baby. Its true. But I can't, WONT, do it without you. No matter how unworthy you think you are, your wrong."

99 looked at his wife in wonder and adoration, a tear falling down his cheek only to be kissed away by his loves soft lips.

"I love you, so much 99. We will be okay." She said confidently, snuggling down into her husbands soft chest.

99 nodded.

'Yeah. Yeah, they would be'

His love shifted a bit. She wasnt sure if this was the right time, but she had considered alternatives to having kids herself.

99 noticed her hesitancy.

"What is it? What's wrong?" He asked, almost panicked.

"Nothings wrong, 99, I just... maybe it's too soon, but, uh, I may have considered... another route, of having kids."

99 looked at her intently.

"Yeah? What did you have in mind?"

His love tilted her head, her ear pressed against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

"Well, we cant have our own. But theres a nursery FULL of younglings who need an actual home and family..."

99 smiled at that.

"I couldn't agree more. Was, uh, was there anyone in particular you had in mind?"

His love lifted her head. Kissing him quickly but lovingly on the lips, pulling away, he saw her radiant smile was back.

"I may have a few younglings in mind"

Do you think Gendry will go North with Arya when they finally meet? GRRM confirmed their reunion but rn Gendry is guarding the orphans. I confess I’ll be very disappointed if we never hear from Gendry again once Arya goes to Winterfell. He is a promising character, they had a deep bond and I honestly can’t see Arya with a love interest other than Gendry at this point, but GRRM is evil. I can’t wait for him to tell her about LSH. I think he’ll represent the Smith during her actual funeral. I’m very interested in her reaction when she finds out he’s Robert’s son and I want her to kill Dunsen and give him back his helm lol

it might be wishful thinking but yes, i like the idea of gendry returning to winterfell with arya and i think its possible. i don't expect gendry will just have a fleeting appearance in the future in any case. when arya and gendry were together he was a significant presence in her storyline. his name appears more in her chapters than any other besides her own. there is no alternative "love interest" for her. the cards have been dealt for nearly all of the important ships and theres not going to be any new major romantic narratives (j*nerys being the one exception)

i think arya might end up having some notion of lady stoneheart via the weirwood warg net, but i want gendry to give her the details too and, assuming she's still there, bring arya to the hollow hill. im absolutely hung up on catelyn getting a proper funeral with arya, the bwb and edmure.

my hope for the crossroads orphans is that they're taken to a more secure location. that situation does not seem tenable. like at all. i would love to see arya step in and help them. arya was orphaned and wandering the riverlands once too just like these kids. she didn't have the resources for food, shelter, protection either. but as she becomes more powerful she will be able to make a difference. it reminds me of how she tried to take care of weasel. thats the kind of development i really want to see. hopefully by the end of twow. i think theres a genuine chance for it too. when jeyne h. says gendry has gone back to willow and the little ones to keep them safe brienne thinks: "no one can keep them safe" grrm repeatedly plays on the "no one" phrase with arya.

dunsen didnt actually have the helm last we saw it. polliver did, but then it wasnt at the crossroads with him so who tf knows where it ended up.

basically blueberry was a new kid in my food and nutrition (fnn) class and honestlyyyy i just found him interesting and paid a lot of attention to him cs he was like... eye catching ? LMFAOO but i never bothered him or anything i would js glance at him a bit BUT THENN october hits and Boom im like wait do i like him and girlll yes u do...! but it wasnt like 100% there yet yk he was js nice to look at for me HELP...

it was kinda funny tho BUT ANYWAYSS i didnt care much abt him since i was like hung up on some other guy which gladly ended and then i started to care abt him a bit more and um Yeah um this happened ? we would have a few convos before his friend move but then we stopped interacting after that LMFAO,, there was a time where i asked him for help on work and bro was SOOO invested??? Spooky Month: The Dating Sim

Part 27

(I'm mainly just doing this because it's fun to watch, but this is basically a spooky month interactive thing/poll which is kinda like a dating sim. Of course, only the adult characters can be your love interests. So do take that in mind.)

(BTW Carmen and Richard are love interests since as far as I know, they're just overly strict parents with the way Pelo treats them. But if they are confirmed to actually be abusive or just bad parents toward Roy in general, I will remove them from being love interests.)

Caught between two thoughts of what to do, the only words that came out of you were meaningless sputters of gibberish. You could feel Pump gaze at you with an arched brow from below.

"..uhhh.. what?" Pump said, confused.

You then shook your head, and cleared your throat. Apologizing for what you did, you explained that you knew the man because you had talked to him before at a mall. You then sighed, and turned to the man. You explained that you were babysitting Skid, pointing directly to Skid so he would know who you were talking about.

"..oh." The man simply said, sounding unphased. The conversation was becoming a little.. awkward. So you quickly asked about him working as a person who sold hot dogs. The man's lips were curled into a blank frown, his eyes glistening with exhaustion. He then answered in the same monotone voice, "..I let two kids steal something from the store I worked at because I'm tired of existing."

...you gulped. That wasnt the answer you were really expecting.

You then nervously looked away. A flicker of worry sparked within you at his words. You awkwardly said that you hoped his new job would go well at least. You then asked how the doll you had bought for him had been doing.

He paused, and blinked. "..I put it on my bed so I could see the point in sleeping."

You gulped again. You weren't expecting that answer either.

You then sighed, and said that you weren't sure what could be done about the way he felt, but that you were sure things would get better. And that however sad he felt, it was okay to need help. Internally, you thought about giving him your number so you could help him if he needed it, but you didn't want to seem too pushy. The man had merely said in a blank tone, "..thanks."

You then decided to ask his name, not wanting to ask for his number so you didn't seem too personal already despitebarely knowing him.

"...Rick." He stated.

Rick, huh? That was a nice name.

You then began to state your name with a soft smile. Though as you did, you felt your pants(or skirt if you present more femininely, whichever you prefer) being tugged on from below. Looking down, you saw Skid innocently staring up at you. "Uh.. can we get hot-dogs now?"

You blinked, realizing how long you must have been talking for. You then awkwardly chuckled, and apologized to Skid quickly, before looking back at Rick. You then asked for three hot-dogs. In turn, Rick blankly said with the same frown, "..okay."

He then turned around, and quickly began to rummage through the bottom of the stand, presumably to make hot-dogs. You stood there for about a few seconds, before Rick eventually pulled out three tasty looking hot-dogs that gave off a pleasant and warm scent. You smiled, and handed over the needed payment. You took the three hot-dogs, and handed the two other ones to Skid and Pump. The two kids looked up at you, and grinned eagerly. "Yay!" They cheered.

As you handed them the hot-dogs, the two kids began to quickly chomp into them despite how clearly hot they were. You felt a slight bead of sweat on your face, wondering how they were managing to withstand such temperatures. Yet even so, you shrugged. You felt the warmth of your hot-dog beneath your fingers, smiling softly in gentle gratitude. You looked back at Rick, and thanked him for the hot-dogs. You said that if you would try talking to him more the next time you saw him because you were babysitting both Skid and Pump right now.

Rick, in response, said: "...okay."

You swiftly turned around, and ushered the two kids to follow you to the movie theater. Skid and Pump said in cheerful unison, "Okay!". You began to walk in the direction of the movie theater, taking small bites out of your hot-dog. It was warm, and the flavors practically exploded in your mouth. The sausage was incredible, the ketchup and mustard on it was almost perfect with the way it had tasted. And Skid and Pump trailed behind you as you began to walk away.

As you walked away though, you heard what sounded like unintelligible yelling from a man that didn't like Rick. Yet even as you got farther and farther away, you heard what sounded like small something falling to the ground. You only guessed it was small since it didn't sound heavy, it sounded almost like a penny dropping onto a plastic surface. You then heard him blankly say, "..I quit."

...despite your surprise at how quickly he must have quitted his job, you kept walking anyway.

You were at the movie theater by now, and a part of you felt a twinge of excitement. You would see Radford! The man you had fixed the projectors for. He seemed like such a cheerful individual that you couldn't really wait to be able to talk to him again. The movie theater building still looked about the same, the yellow light glowing from the windows. The sun was still shining from on high, and you had finished your hot dog by now. The only question was what movie was it that they wanted to see? You could only imagine they'd probably pick once they got inside.

The building was looming over you. Both Skid and Pump were bouncing and giggling about the sidewalk as you continued to lead them closer to the building. You laughed softly at their antics. You were certain with the way Skid had behaved, Lila must have been a really good mom. You began to get closer to the entrance. And once you were finally at the door, you clenched your hand around the door handle, tightening your grip. You could hear Skid and Pump giggling in excitement from behind you.

You slowly opened the door, the virtual light greeting you through the cracks, and increasing as it kept opening. You were about to take a step inside, but then.. your body stiffened. Despite the bright light, you could clearly see that there were two figures and one smaller one standing right in front of you. Two of them were adults, and one seemed to be a teenage boy. The teenager was most likely about 13-15, and the two adults seemed like they must have either been in their late twenties or early thirties with how they appeared.

One of the taller figures was a woman, it seemed. With long warm brown hair, and half-lidded eyes, and long lashes that gave off a sense of authority. She was wearing a gold necklace around her neck, with a dark brown dress and high heels. She was unusually curvaceous, but.. you shook those thoughts away, not wanting to think such thoughts of a woman you had just seen. A part of you felt your face flush from the way she looked. You felt yourself wanting to look into her eyes forever.

The other figure was a male one. He had glasses, and a cigarette was hanging out of his mouth. He was wearing a yellow shirt, and his hair was a light brown color. He looked to be wearing black pants, and even also looked to be wearing a tie around his neck. His eyes also gave off a sense of superiority and irritation. You felt your face flush up again, wondering just what sort of effect these two people had on you.

Finally, the smaller one was what you could have only guessed to be their son probably. He had similar but shorter hair, having the same hair color as the woman. His eyes looked annoyed, and even somewhat angry. He was wearing a big orange sweater with yellow stripes, and it seemed almost a little too big on him. No, not exactly, idr cause the last time i fund any articles about ff6 was like 10 years ago now its hard to find stuff now, but my older cousin is a massive ff fan since childhood and he is the one i got most of my info from since whenever there was a new interview or ultimania or book he was the first one to update me even though in this instance it was ten years ago and even he couldnt find this interview anymore but yeah he also remember an interview with kitase about it.

Eiter way the team left it for the player interpetation since terra is one of the few ff protags with no official love interest. Also there was that one half flirt line to celes which set the fandom on fire for awhile back then(also it was a half joke thingy like the barret date wgich i have allot to say about but i dont wanna set the fandom on fire)

Also i think i forgot to mention in my original post but in the end i think she is aro ace/very demi.(in the final cut)

(also this whole controversy happened when the gba version was released cause i think the translation was a bit different from the snes version so it sparked the controversy but as you imagine this was a long ass time ago)

*i played it first on the gba era in english(one of the few ff i played first in english since i couldnt wait a half a year to get the japanese version, also on gba its harder to read kanji since mine wasnt backlit) and my older cousin (played the jp version on ps1&sf&gba- he was the one who got me into final fantasy) so i had a chat with him to confirm this memory and he said he also thought the game implied her being either lesbian or asexual.

Im in midst of replaying the older titles in honor of the pixel remaster(but i play the ps1 versions cause its prettier 👁️👄👁️)

So ill do an update sometime when ill finish(also idk if they re translated the pixel remasters or no so my posts will be faithful to the original)

*edit also- speaking wise my japanese is good enough to play games, but i suck at kanji so if there is no furigana i need to use kanji apps/ dictionarys (im mixed and wasnt born in japan so all my language abilities are through family since i live in a country that theres not many japanese mixed/asian mixed at all)

So when ill get a new pc i would rework the posts again+ gather all the links& translations ( i really wanted to take screenshotsfrom the games and edit translations and do a big post but its still on the way since i cant make it work on my phone properly but yeah its in the works for a while now i was just pissed on the huge backlash 16 got bec it had a gay kiss(idk if online but in local jrpgs groups this shit was everywhere)

So i just took all the notes i was collecting for a while and posted it in a very low quality post but yeah it was a vent post to the void mostly😂

Just wanna say its 2023 and I still want it to be said that if Boruto and Sarada end up together we can literally never say shit about SNS again because they were right, unfortunately we gotta admit that it was true, that the only reason Naruto and Sasuke didnt end up together was because their both dudes, Im not a SNS shipper but the truth is the truth at that point.

And before anyone says ‘nuh uh, Boruto and Kawaki are supposed to represent Naruto and Sasuke so that doesnt count’

You are partially right in that, Boruto and Kawaki are definitely heavily marketed and referenced Naruto and Sasuke in many ways.

However lets not overlook that Boruto and Sarada shared that connection first and still does in many ways, I’ll give several examples.

Note: there are MANY official arts featuring them with their fathers that look more like family photos rather than shipping material [kinda weird to have their dads constantly watching them being lovey dovey if that was the case, looks more like two brothers hangin with their kids that reminds them of themselves than two fathers watching their children be inlove]

The context Im pointing out here is how Sasuke and Sarada point out Naruto and Boruto dont understand what its like to be in their shoes, just Sarada was less aggressive but her point still stood that unlike her Boruto KNEW who he was and where he was delivering to and if she was in his shoes she’d gladly make the effort to bring her father the food, but unlike him she doesnt know her dad nor have any clue where he is or has been all this time. So the situations are different but the context is the same, them calling the other out for their ignorance.

Worst part is all this is STILL not even half of what all exists but you get the point, Boruto and Sarada may have alot in common with NS more than SNS atp [for obvious reasons as Kawaki was introduced] but the fact remains they were HEAVILY SNS coded and still are to an extent, it was very clear from Kishimotos original writing he intended for Naruto and Sasuke to pass the torch to the new generation with Sarada filling Narutos role and Boruto Sasuke’s, ending 14 literally has Sasuke and Naruto watching them from the Hokage mountain, at the end of the Boruto movie which Kishi wrote had Sasuke looking on proudly at the kids professing their newfound dreams.

You’d think this would’ve been obvious when Sarada decided to follow Narutos path and Boruto decided to follow Sasuke’s it was very apparent that the two were meant to succeed their fathers and continue on the close Uzumaki/Uchiha friendship [Kushina/Mikoto, Hashirama/Madara, Obito/Kushina, Naruto/Sasuke] it was NOT implied to be romantic, they were entirely marketed as the new Naruto and Sasuke, a blush or two doesnt = romance when Naruto and Sasuke have blushed for eachother as well, which leads me to the point of this post.

If BoruSara is canon theres really nothing else to say about SNS because they’d be right, even if that isnt the intent or message they are tryin to send the fact remains thats exactly what they’ll convey, that Naruto and Sasuke 100% would’ve been endgame if not for both being males, because the fact that they have been so heavily foreshadowed as taking over their fathers role, sharing a similar bond and many similar moments, theres no way to deny that the only reason these two are pushed together romantically is because their boy and girl, you could probably argue at that point that Naruto and Sasuke actually were as well if thats the case with Boruto and Sarada.

At the moment their relationship has been completely platonic, they are close friends, teammates, and rivals just like their fathers were, and nothing about their relationship is explicitly romantic just like it wasnt for their fathers as well.

However, if they DO turn Boruto and Sarada’s relationship into a romantic one and confirm all those scenes, interactions etc were indeed part of their romantic development, you cannot argue the same couldnt have been true for Naruto and Sasuke anymore, not even the fact that they see eachother as brothers is a factor anymore since Sarada said the same and still ends up with him, theres no argument anymore.

Listen everything I’ve mentioned is exactly why I dont think BoruSara will be endgame, but Im realistic enough to not say it isnt a possibility at all, so if the worse case scenario happens and they are indeed canon we gotta concede that SNS fans were right, the only thing that held SNS back was bein men, sad but true.

It still baffles me how some SS fans even ship BoruSara considering it literally mirrors the two main ships they were against, NaruSaku and SNS, and yet now their shipping the split image of those ships...truly makes you wonder...but thats another topic for another day.

Point is I dread the day this is actually confirmed because if Kishi and co thought the outrage was bad before its gonna be 10x worse if they pull that cuz it’ll prove everyones suspicions right that there was homophobia behind the scenes, alot of ppl claim to tolerate BoruSara since its the closest they’ll get to SNS but deep down if it was actually confirmed they’ll be outraged because lets be real, although some of them may settle for it in theory doesnt mean their actually ok with the ‘homophobia’ being confirmed, they may even come to resent the ship for ‘stealing’ what SNS had and should’ve been.

The NS shippers who see this as compensation for Kishis ‘betrayal’ will be fine in this case since theres no negative cannotations for them if their canon, it’ll just prove to them that NS should’ve been canon but Kishi ‘sold out’ but is now atoning for his sins and ‘fixing’ his mistakes.

Not even makin that up thats literally what they think BoruSara is, Kishi ‘fixing’ his mistakes despite him never once saying he regretted his endgame ships, only the fandom views it as a ‘mistake’ while Kishimoto proudly speaks on every ship with no remorse, he didnt even realize he had caused such controversy, man lied to his own wife just to appease her, thats not something you’d do if you felt you made the wrong decision, instead he would’ve apologized but nah, he just flat out said NS was never a serious consideration for him, he already had his endgame decided and he stuck to it.

So to say Kishimoto is ‘fixing’ his mistakes by making BoruSara canon would mean he’d have to regret his endgame pairings which he doesnt, hes made that abundantly clear in numerous interviews that he was proud of his decision and deliberately ignored everyone who pushed for NS even his own wife, so why ppl think Kishimoto is trying to ‘fix’ a mistake he doesnt even view as a mistake is baffling to me.

Anyway I’ve said my piece, I’ll come back to this subject if the worst case scenario happens but hopefully that doesnt happen and they stick to what they’ve set up, a platonic close bond between friends, teammates, family, and rivals.
