Solarpunk in the Desert

Let me talk a bit more about Solarpunk this week. Especially about Solarpunk in different climates and areas. Because, let's face it: Most of Solarpunk art does depict either (sub)tropical foresty areas or at least temperate regions. It does not show any other climate extremes, which is kinda sad, because the world does not only exist in those lush green areas.

Of course, one of the big reasons is, that it kinda depicts the places it is from. For once South America had a big influence on Solarpunk, which is most oftenly associated with the lush rain forest of the amazonas. But also... White people kinda feel most at home in temperate regions.

But if either we woud establish a Solarpunk world - or you just wanted to write a Solarpunk stories... There would still be deserts.

And sure, we could talk about stopping desertification and such things. Something that is definitely important. But some desert should remain, because they are still a unique habitat. So, what does Solarpunk do with that - and how could people live in those areas?

Now, I have to underline again: Deserts are habitats for all sorts of flora and fauna. Animals live their, no matter how inhospitable to life they seem to be. Because of that they should be protected to some degree. Again: We should stop the spread of deserts into other habitats, but the desert in of itself is home to a lot of life, even if it might not seem that way.

As such it has also been a habitat to humans for a long while. No wonder. While humans did not originate in the deserts of Africa, those were darn close and of course some of the first humans went there and some managed to survive there. As such our species has actually a lot of experience when it comes to surviving in the desert.

Humans for the most part will not live in the middle of the desert, of course, but rather at the outskirts or maybe at an oasis of some sort. But of course even there people might need to deal with the elements. Like the heat, the sun, the cold nights (never forget: deserts are very cold at night), the generally dry climate.

Of course we could deal with the heat with ACs, but... ACs are not very good for the environment of course. But also: For most of human history, humans did not have ACs and humans have actually found a lot of ways to keep houses relatively cool through passive cooling system and by using building materials, that cool the insides and help the place well tempered.

But of course in modern times, we also could use heat pumps to move the temperate air around and keep the houses cool during the day and warm at night.

One big issue is the water. Of course, humans tend to go to places where there is water. Like an oasis or close to a lake or other body of water. But of course we do have an issue with the ground water declining for several reasons. So, what can we do?

Well, actually we have found intesting ways with harvesting the water from the air through all sorts of methods. For example by spanning wires, where the daw can collected during thr night. While it is not plentiful, it does work quite well.

But, of course, I cannot talk about solarpunk deserts without talking about photo voltaic and also wind energy.

There are those folks, who will propagade that it would be super practical to build like this giant, giant photo voltaic farm in the middle of the Sahara and then get all the energy from it. Which, technically... I mean, a lot would have to change, but yeah, there is a lot of energy there.

Even though... I am not a big fan of this idea. Because, again: Habitat. And animals cannot all live in those areas, where there is big, big photovoltaic. Still, some areas of the desert could be used as such to add to the general energy grids.

And, yes. There is also wind energy. Something a lot of people do not consider. But a lot of deserts have very windy areas, which could easily be used to generate energy. So... Yeah, that would be nice, wouldn't it?

vincent-vampire the masquerade: bloodlines. this one should need no explanation. vincent is literally a textbook toreador.

sam-stardew valley. he seems like a relaxing, slice-of-life type gamer. as much shit as he gives the gamecube, you know this man played the fuck out of animal crossing.

gavin-huniepop. yet another assigned game that should need no explanation.

huxley-minecraft. he build in the dirt. that’s all i got.

damien-little inferno. might seem a little on-the-nose, but the themes of escaping the grind of what everyone else is doing, a grind that is actively harming everyone, and seeing what no one else sees to escape that cycle, reads as extremely damien to me.

lasko-huniepop 2. don’t ask questions you don’t want the answers to. (it was either this or baldi’s basics. i’m allowed to slander him, i’m a lasko kinnie)

caelum-wobbledogs. cute lil alien puppies that you can feed and play with and crossbreed to make eldrich abominations that shouldn’t exist. i just know he would fucking love wobbledogs.

vega-fran bow. as much as i adore him with all my heart, vega is just very remor-coded. he beats up children. that’s all i gotta say about that.

milo-prey. 😇

david-destiny 2. i don’t have to explain it. you already know.

asher-sea of thieves. i just know my man is absolutely killing it with sea of thieves. he has a story about trying to take over a ship using a rowboat and accidentally going to the final quest of the game with the crew of that ship instead.

aaron-alien isolation. this one is based on pure vibes. i don’t got much of an explanation for this one beyond delving into a dangerous world your family member is involved in to save said family member.

elliott-valheim. i don’t know a whole lot about elliott, i’ve never paid much attention to his storyline, but he seems like the kind of nerdy guy to really enjoy valheim. plus, co-op game to play with his best friend and partner. it works super well.

camelopardalis-subnautica. he’d find it extremely relaxing and would adore all the fauna in the game. he has never killed a leviathan and doesn’t plan to. his favorites are the reefback leviathans.

avior-detroit: become human. kinda funny that this one goes to avior and not james, but avior absolutely has the vibes of a guy fully realizing that people entirely different from him have such life and value to them and gaining a new appreciation for them.

anton-hydroneer. i feel like he’d enjoy the logistics and openness of the gameplay. plus, the scenery is pleasing and aesthetic. he’d enjoy the foresty vibes of the starting area.

james-pokemon reborn. maybe it’s personal bias, maybe it’s just that the game has a bunch of dark themes involving world-ending disasters and one person being forced to make difficult choices to save it, costing several lives unintentionally and being separated from loved ones and traumatized in the process, but it fits him almost too well.

geordi-skyrim. geordi has logged thousands of hours in skyrim and no one can convince me otherwise. he mains a bosmer and is super proud of his challenge build he did where he followed the green pact for the entire game.

guy-don’t starve. he cooka da pizza. he would make sure you never starve. plus, i feel like he’d be really good at survival games like this, and he’d really enjoy the art style.

WAITTTTTTTT I LOVE THE IDEA OF THEM BOTH DISCOVERING THAT THEYRE INTO SOMETHING TOGETHER???? like yes rope somehow being a part of a costume that she's wearing and maybe she likes the slight burn of it or how it feels kind of tight on her body buttttt she likes it even more knowing harry's in the audience watching her!! and when he comes backstage after the show he's just completely enamored by how pretty she looks and he's just like, "how come you didn't tell me about this dirty little costume?" and she kind of plays dumb bc she doesn't want to push boundaries too much (bc what if he's not talking about the rope ya know) so she's just looking up at him with rounded eyes and asking him what he means and he goes, "would you let daddy tie you up all pretty like this?"

AND AND AND I LOVEEEEEEE THAT YOU SAID IT COULD BE ~THEIR THING~ like they've only done that WITH EACH OTHER and it requires so much trust and maybe that's a step in the direction of realizing that they luvvv each other and it's more than just enemies w a decent sexual connection

im not sure .. i dont super like obviously merch designs. only thing i can think of rn is to edit th cad cardigan mayybe? i wish it wasnt acrylic jus from an eco-friendly perspective but you cant make that kinda thing wool without it being too expensive for most people (the way it is is expensive anwyay).. anyway , ,smaller n less clunky patterns on it, more colour variation in the yarn for texture(tm), and a hood.. because i wish so much that it had a hood. also *designs it so its actually in stock* >: /

So I'm technically agender, I call myself queer because its just easier but I don't mind what pronouns are used. However, I've noticed that a when I'm little there seems to be an overlap sure but more defined "boy mode" and "girl mode" for whatever reason so I thought I'd write down lists for both

I fell waaay behind on @ghoulfriendfangs‘ apprenticember, but I’m giving it another go!

6. Now, do they have any rivals? Maybe even a WORST ENEMY!? Spill the deets now!

Ebony absolutely loathes Lucio with their whole being, but the sentiment isn’t returned until later in their story because Lucio doesn’t really notice them. So it’s a fairly one-sided worst enemy. They don’t have time for or interest in rivals though.

7. Second week! Let’s go back to their physical description, but go even deeper! Do they have tattoos, piercings, scars, etc? What sort of clothes do they like?

They have fairly simple ear-piercings, but honestly for the most part they’re physically very basic. They definitely prefer to accessorise with clothes, hair, and accessories rather than alter their body. They’re also a very careful person and have only had their body for three years, so any wounds were minor and healed quick.

8. Now let’s give their familiar the spotlight! Tell us all about them!

9. Do they have a patron arcana? Who is it? What’s their relationship like?

10. What is their relationship to the other arcana like?

Unfortunantly I cannot answer these 2 cause idk enough about arcana stuff

11. Do they have a gateway? What does it look like? If they don’t have one, describe their ideal spot instead.

Currently Ebony doesn’t visit their gateway often so it’s very underdeveloped, but I would definitely like to expand that more in future. For now, it’s just a vague foresty area with glowy lights and a nearby ocean.

12. What does their home look like? Their room?

In-game they live at the shop, then at Muriel’s house with brief stays at the palace. In any situation, they keep their own room very neat and tidy, with big windows and flowy curtains. Also, lots of shelves for trinkets. Kinda bare-bones otherwise, but generally very comfortable.

The only thing I’ve drawn so far is that sometimes they sleep in a hammock.

13. Can they cook? What’s their favorite meal?

Ebony absolutely cannot cook to save their life! They are absolutely excellent at prepping ingredients though, so they’re a good cooking partner. It’s just that once any form of heat comes in to play they’re completely lost, and if it’s more than 2 ingredients they’re sure to put in the wrong amounts.

For a meal their favorite is any kind of spiced soup with freshly made bread, but their absolute favorite Food is pumpkin bread. They don’t remember it, but Selasi the baker is their father; the pumpkin bread is kind of the only thing that survived the amnesia.

14. What does their magic look/feel like?

Ebony’s magic tends to manifest in mostly blue, green, and yellow colors. There’s guaranteed to be a glowy glittery effect to it no matter what magic it is. Their magic always gives off a very calm feeling, even in battle. I like to make it as visible as possible in the artwork I do of them.

15. What are they proudest of?

Ooooo interesting question! Honestly, they’re probably proudest of being such a good friend and ally to the LIs. Just being kind and empathetic helped change the course of Vesuvian history!

But secretly they’re most proud of the one time they made pumpkin bread successfully XD

George Weasley Head Canons

You cannot tell mE him and Fred have not smoked the herb before. But, I feel like he would only do it during a party or on the weekend, he's not like a stereotypical pothead..

I feel like he's bisexual with a preference for girls.

He loves physical affection. Like a lot. Give this man a hug right noW.

His favorite sibling, except for Fred obviously, is Ginny.

I feel like his favorite color would either be a light green, like a foresty kinda vibe. Or blue. Or maybe a light Orange.

His music tastes are far and wide. Has listened to everything at least once, like he has literally listened to russian folk music on a whim. But his favorite is probably indie/rock.

He doesn't know how to ice skate. He tried, and almost broke his ass.

I think he would really like doing hair. Like braiding it, curling it, idk something abt him just kinda gives it off.

He likes bracelets, of the friendship variety. Or like little homemade ones.

I feel like he is the mom friend. But not so overbearing, just like a lowkey thing. Someone needs a tissue, don't worry, George has you covered.

He probably likes looking at girly clothes, just to see what's in trend.

For the people who wanted my ages-long 3adv character design thoughts because I think about these guys wayyy too much I'll talk about each character individually and then slowly put my comparison/merged thoughts together (I'll put it all under the cut! I warn you, it's looong)

- For context, I like color theory. I like analyzing colors and their meanings, and I know basic things about contrast and values and hue stuff - that being said... - Graham coloring process my beloathed :,) I love the guy with all my heart but my goodness the colors - I'm constantly changing them because I struggle with the contrast so much - (to the point I actually changed the colors in the current piece I'm working on. The ref is already outdated lmaooooo) - it looks nice but all the colors blend together and it makes me mad lmao wHY ARE ALL HIS COLORS CLOSE TOGETHER- - - ...does anybody else have this problem or am I overreacting - - ...anyways rant over - for the fun stuff I love, shape language! And especially figuring out face shapes. - Graham is very circles. Rounded lad! Shaped like a friend. A lot of his angles I rounded out (including the ones for his eyes which I'll get to later) - but he's also made of rectangles! Especially in his cape, which I feel sorta balances him out with how lanky and top-heavy he is. - Graham has a very limited amount of triangles, to keep his design easier to read, but with the triangles he does have they're put to use! - Case in point: adventuring cap - Which, in addition to being an important part of his character, is symbolic shape-wise! Oops, all triangles! (while the feather is rounded because friend shaped) specifically grounded triangles. - Grounded triangles symbolize being... well, grounded! It's like being a square, having the base rest on the ground, but with the action and adventure of a triangle! - You see where I'm going with this? - It also stands out since it's a cool color among mainly warm colors! The blue helps separate all the warm reds and browns. - Talking about the hat color reminds me about that little convo I had with some friends on how the cape is very deep and saturated while everything else is desaturated (so the cape stands out) - His cap, with how it's tilted, kinda reminds me of like... Cars? And how the air sorta flows over it? - I gave him some more rounded off sorta saggy shoulders, a longer torso, and a bit of a narrower torso width because it makes him feel a slight bit younger.

- Link lonk - I don't have as many thoughts on his design as I would have liked, but he's mostly more of a blank slate sorta character that encompasses most versions of Link? Key points were to include all the iconic parts of his surface-level design (green, hat, blond) and sorta work from there. - I'm a very big fan of 3adv link tho! Has a very nice personality to explore. Protective hero! - Link is heavily triangles. From his hat to his stance, he is very action-oriented and very sharp n pointy. - He is mainly rectangles & triangles! Imbalanced triangles are a bit more top-heavy and often jump headfirst into things (Say a... pit, for example) while balanced triangles are grounded and reasonable. - Link gets both, as a treat. :) - His color palette is very foresty and the dark blue contrasts quite well! - I was actually contemplating making his scarf one of the only main rounded parts of his design because friendship scarf, but I got scared it wouldn't blend well with the rest of the design lol, so it's got more angles like I usually do with folds. - I'm a very big fan of playing around with body types, even if I don't do it often. Link has a more confident stance, with a bit more muscle than the other two - With Link's eyes I'm not actually sure why I chose the semi-cat eyes? Maybe cuz they seem a bit more focused. - I actually did a 3adv drawing before this with the lads as Cookie Run Kingdom designs, and I really liked the idea that Link's hair was herbal leaves, so I kinda incorporated that idea to the shape design with the hair

- Guybrush Wheatstick time - Guy is very rectangles but not super rectangles? I wanted to balance it out with triangles because he's a playful sorta guy. Tried rounding out a lot of his angles but not exactly all of them. - To balance the rectangles and triangles I decided on a compromise: Trapezoids! - His body type is the sorta upsidedown trapezoid/triangle type but under the clothes he has slightly slanted shoulders! His coat makes him look a lot sharper and confident, which I love in character design. - I really like the baggy clothes lmao - I think I made his hair more wavy than he actually is in-game lmaoo - Which fits in with the fact I wanted to continue that sorta playful squiggle motif. He's less serious, but he's angled and square! Also feels more pirate-y - In terms of eyes, I continue the rectangle/trapezoid thing again. These eyes are actually harder to draw traditionally lmaoo but that's cuz they're tilted at a slight angle. Makes it easier to do perspective tho(?) - I like Guy's palette a lot, I think the only thing I struggle with is the hair tie's color because it looks weird to me but it's the same sorta red as the coat lmao? - and the darkness of the belt because I wanted it to contrast the rest of the outfit lol - I just like the fact Guy's ears are wider/placed differently - They all have a different shape that they're based around (Graham is circles, Link is triangles, Guybrush is rectangles) but they share bits of eachothers' shapes to show they're part of a group! - Additionally they share similar colors to show they're part of a group (Reds and blues, buncha blue-eyed bois) - Occasionally I'll go through a crisis of like "damn this character is too similar to this other character's design" and then I realized I was overthinking things and literally nobody is gonna confuse Alexander to Link Anyways that's thoughts! Or at least the ones I think of off the top of my head.

(Design choice explanations under cut)

First, about the names: each dragon is a subspecies of Draconis draconis. (The name Draco is taken by a group of lizards which kinda look like dragons if you squint). If I do Sonia or Angie in the future, I might make them a different species of dragon rather than a subspecies, but that’s far in the future. The scientific names are just for fun, really.

Gonta: Of course he needed bug wings! I probably should have gone with damselfly wings instead of dragonfly wings so I don’t have to deal with the perspective, but c’mon. Dragonfly.

I’ve heard about arguments whether his hair is green or green-shaded brown, so I used both of those colors in his design. I think he turned out more “swampy” than “foresty” but he’s cute either way.

Libelula means dragonfly in Greek. (Possibly also Latin, but in that case it’s just a loanword.) This is not to be confused with “libella” which means a little book or pamphlet in Latin.

Gundham: Funny story: the “base” dragon body was originally going to be for Ibuki, but I couldn’t make it look peppy enough. Then it was going to be Peko, but I couldn’t figure out a design. So it’s Gundham now, and I think he looks pretty cool!

His black-and-white coloration comes from his hair, of course. His wings are a combination of “angel” and “devil”. His tail spade is a leftover of my attempt of integrating Peko’s sword into a design. He still has his hamsters, don’t worry.

Glacies means ice in Latin. He’s the Overlord of Ice, after all!

Himiko: Probably my weirdest design, and the first one created on this sheet. The design’s not based on her so much as the animals in her official art, the tiger and dove. Her horns are meant to look like the peak of her hat, and are colored the same as the red parts of her cape. Her main fur is white, like the tiger and dove, but her tiger stripes are red, like her hair (though more like the highlights of her hair). She breathes fire, because magic. The one thing I wish I could express more in the design is her curled lip; it just kinda looked weird when I tried to add it to her mouth so I tried to imply it with the muzzle.

Parva means small in Latin. If I ever do Ryoma, he’ll be the same subspecies. Sakura: IT’S MY GIRLLLLLLL I LOVE HER SO MUCH

I tried to make her design look tough, though that might be offset by her pink spikes. Maybe she’s albino. Her horns and tusks are inspired by oni masks. Her body color comes from her white hair, and her pink accents came from a suggestion on Discord. I was out of ideas.

Bellator means fighter in Latin. Technically bellator means a male fighter, but “bellatrix” has implications. Aoi: Originally Nagito was going to be in this space but my attempted design for him looked more like an electrified monkey. One day. Aoi was a pretty simple design so I just drew her instead. I personally think she’s more of a river dragon than an ocean one. I don’t think I explicitly designed her after an otter, but that’s what she kinda looks like. Her horns are in the shape of her hair spike, and her large nostrils are based off of other semi-aquatic animals such as crocodiles. Her brown colors comes from her hair, while the blue comes from her swimsuit but also her name.

Caeruleum means blue in Latin. Aoi (though not the same spelling as in her name) means blue in Japanese. It just fits.

Blood boiled in your bodies as Bakugo panted on top of you. Both your wrists tightly held in one of his large hands as he pinned them to the ground. His mouth watering smell of smoky burnt caramel filled your senses as your own breathing became heavy.

Red eyes glared into yours menacingly, the feral smirk widening on his face as he leaned closer. He was silently challenging you, daring you to do something while you were in such a helpless position. The fire in your belly threatening to burn you alive as the blush on your face betrayed you, growling at him.

“Win goes to Bakugo. Next pair step up.” Aizawa’s tired voice called out from the edge of the ring.

Sparring. The one thing you can’t beat Bakugo Katsuki in. It frustrated you to no end, you were good at hand to hand combat, even beating Izuku and Shoto a few lucky times. But you could never beat him.

Everything about ‘Lord Explosion Murder’ pissed you off. The awful comments he made, the god complex he had, how he was always yelling, but the thing you hated the most about him was how fucking sexy he was.

Piercing crimson eyes on his handsome face paired with a body carved out of marble made by god herself drove you insane. The cherry on top of this sundae being the way he smelled. He smelled sweet, smoky, and sinfully delicious. It never failed to set a sweet fire in your gut while your blood boiled.

He moved off you and joined the bakusquad while you sat up and rubbed your sore wrists. You were still panting, the long sparring set you just had made you tired. Trying every move in the book, you placed your concentration into finding a way to throw him off. You couldn’t.

“Y-you did great out there (y/n)-chan!” Izuku’s sweet voice grabbed your attention, breaking out of your oncoming rage and frustration. He stood in front of you shyly with his hand out.

“Thanks Izu, I really appreciate it.” You smiled softly at him, grabbing his hand to help you stand up and continuing to hold it for a moment. Freckled cheeks turned pink at your pet name and the skin to skin contact. You gave his hand a quick squeeze before letting go and joining your friends with Izuku right at your side.

You both joined Shoto, Ochacko, and Tenya aka the dekusquad. You were friendly with everyone but you found your home in the dekusquad. They were kind, non judgmental, and overall good people.

You were immediately friends with Izuku from day 1. Your quirk wasn’t special but the species you shifted into was. The queen of the jungle, none other than a lioness. You had different forms, ranging from lion-girl to full blown big cat.

You were a force to be reckoned with. Armed with powerful muscles, excellent hunting skills, sharp eyes, sharp canines, an instinct to protect, and even sharper claws; you aimed to be hero. The skills and instincts you had earned you a spot in the top hero class of UA.

Izuku was your favorite and despite how powerful he was, you couldn’t help but dote on him. Large green eyes and chubby freckled cheeks awoken the lioness in you. You saw him as the the baby, even though he was taller than you.

Gently purring to him and running your fingers through his green curls were your favorite things to do in your spare time. Another reason you hated Bakugo, he hated on Izuku for no reason.

Verbal fights with Bakugo were a daily thing, continuing well into your 3rd year. Screaming and swearing at each other about the other persons attitude was just another part of your routine. You couldn’t stand the way he insulted your poor green bean.

“STUPID DEKU, I’M GONNA BE THE NUMBER ONE HERO! A NERD LIKE YOU CAN’T GET TO THE TOP NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY!” Bakugo’s rough voice insulted Izuku in the classroom.

Your golden lion ears twitched at the loud volume and irritation. Rage filling your nervous system as slitted (e/c) eyes med red ones, narrowing at each other. If he wanted a fight, I’ll fuckin give him one.

“SHUT THE FUCK UP, BLASTY! WITH A NASTY ATTITUDE LIKE YOURS I DOUBT YOU’LL MAKE TOP 10!” You yelled back.

Standing up, you moved to stand in front of a terrified looking Izuku with claws out and teeth bared. You were willing to throw hands with anyone who would insult your classmates and Izuku was no exception.

Kirishima was already up and at Bakugo’s side, frantically trying to calm him down. Ochacko was doing the same at your side while Tenya was in the middle yelling and chopping away about fighting in the classroom.

“Please (y/n)-Chan! Dont start a fight in the classroom, you don’t want to wake up Aizawa-Sensei do you?” Ochako nervously spit out as she held your arm tightly with pinkies raised. The sound of popping from his one of his palms as the cursed scent of smoky caramel wafted through the room.

Never once breaking eye contact from each other, you decided it wasn’t worth it. With a growl, you retracted your claws and crossed your arms, challenging him to back away with slitted eyes. A rough ‘Tch’ came from Bakugo as he walked away and headed back to his seat, kicking his feet up on the desk like he always does.

Your brow raised for a moment in confusion. ‘How weird, he normally keeps going until we’re nearly throwing punches. Oh well, can’t look a gift horse in the mouth.’ Was the thought running in your head. Brushing it off, you turned towards Izuku to make sure he was okay.

“T-thank you for defending m-me (y/n)-Chan. You really didn’t have to, I’ll beat Kacchan one day fair and square!” He started nervously but ended with determined tone.

You smiled softly and let out a low purr at the greenette. He was so adorable that you couldn’t stop yourself from cooing at him.

“I know Izu, but you don’t have to have to take his bad attitude laying down. You’ll be a great hero one day.” You said as you gave a pat to the wild green curls on his head.

He blushed at the small act of affection, covering his face with his arms as he placed his head down on the desk. A light chuckle escaped you at how shy he was around girls.

Two weeks passed by since your last fight with Bakugo and it wildly confused you. He didn’t pick on Izuku as much and a quick glare from you shut him up.

‘No fights? No screaming at each other? Why? We’re usually at each other’s throats. Maybe he’s been tired.’ You tried to rationalize to yourself as you sat next to Uraraka at lunch. It’s been quiet on the war with Bakugo, so quiet that it made you suspicious.

Lunch went by normally, making talk of studies and upcoming events with them. Just having a nice time with the dekusquad. Something just kept on bugging you on the inside, making you unable to to fully relax and eat your food.

Wanting to head up to the roof, you bid your goodbyes to everyone early. You needed fresh air to clear your mind. Throwing away your lunch and walking through the quiet halls eased the restlessness. You climbed up the old staircase and opened the creaky door to the roof.

It was empty, thankfully. With a sigh, you propped open the door with your school bag and padded your way to the middle of the roof.

Standing there for a moment, you inhaled the fresh air and relished in the quiet sounds of the city. Closing your eyes, you took a deep breath and focused.

The faint smell of the city mixed with foresty smelling winds put your unease at rest for now. Ears relaxing at the familiar sounds of cars driving by and students chatting about in different classrooms. You felt peaceful.

You stretched out your muscles, sighing when you heard the pops of your joints. Deciding to take a seat, you gently placed yourself down and bathed in the sun. It wasn’t too hot today and the light breeze kept it cool.

Quietly bathing in the sun, you were thankful for this peace. You knew you had 10 mins before the bell rang to go to class so you relaxed in the few minutes you had.

Unfortunately, peace never lasts. Loud and heavy footsteps came from the stairway, pulling you out of your little zen bubble. Those steps only met one person and it was the last one you wanted to be alone with right now. With a groan, you pulled yourself up and stood facing the doorway with crossed arms.

The door was roughly kicked open, causing the rusty hinges to squeak loudly. Golden ears twitched in response as slitted (e/c) eyes met red ones once again. ‘OF COURSE BAKUGO HAD TO DISTURB MY PEACE! WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE HIM!’ You screamed in your head while maintaining a poker face.

“Hey, you dumb cat. I gotta talk to you.” His rough voice called out. A last ditch effort to confess his feelings for you after a lot of convincing from the bakusquad.

You rolled your catlike eyes. ‘Dumb cat, that stupid nickname. I guess it could be worse’ you internally shrugged.

“Okay, and what do you need to say?” You quipped back, already fed up with this conversation.

“Tch! I like you, you dumb cat.” He mumbled, gritting his teeth and looking away with his hair covering his eyes. You spotted pink scratching at his cheeks.

Your brain crashed like an old computer. Standing here for a moment, you looked at him shocked.

‘Bakugo fucking Katsuki LIKES ME?!?!?!? WHAT? WHEN? WHY?! HUH?!?!’ Questions were flying through your head faster than the speed of light. All in a failed attempt to figure something, anything about this situation.

“HUH?!” You screamed out, it was all you can manage to get out with this newfound information.

“Do you need me to say it again, you stupid cat?!” He yelled out, cheeks now bright pink and body language screaming that he was clearly embarrassed.

“No Bakugo, I heard you just fine-“ you started, all the questions you had loading up like a bullets in a magazine.

“Katsuki” he interrupted.

Too frazzled to question it, you just kept going. “Uh- okay, Katsuki. I heard you just fine. But WHEN? WHERE? HOW? WHY?!?! WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN??? I THOUGHT WE HATED EACH OTHER?!” You yelled, still overwhelmed and clearly confused.

In your confused daze, he managed to strut his way right in front of you. Now face to face with with him made you even more confused. He brought his hand to your face and placed two fingers under your chin, tilting your head up and making you look at him. You stopped mid sentence, surprised by his bold move.

“I like you, dumb cat, because you’re strong. You don’t back down from a fight, you don’t take anyone’s shit, you’re a kickass fighter, and last but not least, you’re one sexy little kitty.” He smirked, his gravelly voice dropping a few octaves.

Dumbfounded and flustered was an UNDERSTATEMENT to how you felt. The sinful smell of smoky caramel once again started to cloud your senses as his burning red eyes gazed at you. A blush erupted on your cheeks at his praises but you held your ground. ‘I guess the line between hate and attraction was finer than I thought.’ You thought before you decided to believe him.

Managing to fight off the haze for a moment longer, you looked up at him. (E/c) eyes searched his own for anything besides the truth. Katsuki was a lot of things, but he wasn’t a liar.

The haze once again came back as he moved his hand from your chin to your cheek, caressing it gently and almost protectively. His hand was large and very warm, it made you melt despite the red hot blush on your face.

He leaned in so close your lips were brushing. You flickered your gaze from his eyes to his lips, they looked slightly chapped but plush despite his rough mannerisms and attitude. Oh how you would love to find out if he tasted as good as he smelled.

“Fuck it” you whispered, throwing caution to the wind before gently placing your lips on his. His lips were surprisingly skilled and tasted faintly of caramel. Eyes fluttering closed as the space between your bodies decreased.

The gentle kiss quickly became heated, his tongue prying your soft lips open as his large hands ran down your body and gripped your hips to bring you closer to him.

Tongues wrestled each other as you ran you hands up his clothed torso and made their way into his spiky blonde hair. It was soft, despite the style he sported. You let out a low purr at his actions, rough and incredibly dominant as he explored your cavern.

You gave it his hair a light tug to test the waters, earning you a low growl from him. You pulled away for much needed oxygen, now both of you panting and wildly blushing.

“So the great ‘Lord Explosion Murder’ couldn’t handle his feelings so he had to go picking fights with the girl he likes for attention huh?” You teased with a cocky smirk that rivals his.

“Shut up” he growled as he grit is teeth and looked to the side in sad attempt to cover up his embarrassment.

You slid your finger to his cheek and pushed his face till he was facing you once again. The smug smile on your face still plastered on there as you leaned closer to him.

“Why don’t you make me, Katsuki~” you purred, sharp teeth glinting in the light and a teasing playful smile on your face.

Another growl came in response as he crashed his lips against yours in a frenzied hungry kiss. Needless to say, you both didn’t make it to class on time.

BONUS: Aftermath

Various chatter from male students rang about the boys lockeroom as they switched from costumes to uniforms.

As Katsuki pulled his shirt off, long red and almost painful looking scratches were sitting on his muscular back.

“Woah! Bakubro! What happened to you?” The red puppy known as Kirishima asks concerned. Bless him for being so innocent.

“Just ran into a dumb cat, shitty hair. Don’t worry about it.” He spoke nonchalantly, well as nonchalant as he could get.

No one spotted the ever so victorious smirk on his face as he pulled his uniform shirt on.

- rapunzel. specifically, tangled. sam is flynn rider and I am rapunzel.

A - Art - do they draw or paint? what about any other kind of art? what’s their favorite style/subject/another artist who inspires them?

- sam likes to say he's a shit artist, but I know otherwise. he's actually quite good, he just refuses to admit it. he keeps a sketchbook under the dresser with drawings of me, dean, mary, and more people from his life, but don't tell him I told you it's there.

M - Meeting - what was your first time meeting them? I

- I may have hit a werewolf with my car, leading to sam frantically jumping into it and me driving off in quite a hurry. my first and last field mission. I hate the fighting involved in being a hunter. but sam, lovely, goofy sam apparently decided that slamming my prius into a man who looked like he could rip it in half was enough of a reason to keep me around.

- sam cannot walk past the girl scouts during cookie season. sam and dean go on hunts during that time, and come home with boxes upon boxes. not like I'm complaining, or anything. :D

- either something with dean when they were small, or our first 'date' ( see "date" = read "let's grab a case of beer and dean 's keys and go stargaze in a field somewhere laying on the hood and drinking" )

C - Confession - which of you admitted romantic interest in the other first (if they’re the flirty type, when did they admit they were really serious about the other?) how did they do it? what was the reaction?

- sammy did! dean was on a supply run into lebanon, we needed groceries, and sam came up to me, where I was reading at one of the tables in the library. he's standing there, and I finally shut the book and turn and look up at him. "yes, sam?" he looks at me, and in a rush manages to say "so I really kinda like you and was wondering if you maybe liked me too?" all I can do it get to my feet ( practically climb onto the chair ) and kiss the big doof.

H - Height - is there a height difference or a size difference in general between the two of you? how do each of you feel about it?

- um... yes. sam is 6'4" and built like a brick wall. I'm freaking 5 '6" with a bit of extra snuggle. I honestly don't mind anymore because I'm to the point of I want a kiss I will just grab the front of Sam's shirt and yank. Initially I was a little wary of my weight because he's... him. but he is such a sweetheart, whenever I start to feel bad about my body he is there to take all those thoughts away.

E - Emotion - is your f/o open with their feelings or do they keep them close to their chest?

- he's a bit of both. some things he will share, rather openly, and then there's some things that it takes a lot of prying to get him to open up about, if he does at all

T - Teach - what skills of theirs would they teach you? what would you teach them?I

- sam? the man is a god when it comes to diligence and patience. he knows how to focus on in something to get a project done, and i... don't. my ability to focus is sorely lacking. as far as me teaching him something, I don't know if it's necessarily a skill, but it's knowing when to take a break. his diligence is good, to a point. it's nice not to be distracted, but when he's running himself ragged, calling asleep at the library tables because he's running on a pot of coffee and a prayer, that's when it becomes a problem.

R - Rainbow - what colors do you associate with them and why?

foresty, fall colors. greens, browns, maroon, pumpkin orange, mustard yellow, think of

colors you see in fall decorations. those kind of colors. as for the reason? one, I don't think I have ever seen that man wear anything brighter than one singular blue tee shirt he owns, it's all neutrals and darker colors, and two, call has always been a very cozy, honey time for me. stay inside, make hot cocoa, snuggle under a big blanket and watch movies. and sam, the bunker, those are the things that give me that Sam warm and fuzzy, cozy "I'm home" kind of feeling.

V - Vacation- where would you two go to get away?

- oh lord. somewhere warm. with some water. and a beach. and the sun. and maybe a fruity drink in my hand. shirtless sam is a must. please, for the love of all things good. no. monsters. no monsters. vacation means no work, no work means no hunting, therefore no monsters.

Y - You! what do they like about you?

- the quirks! I'm an overly cuddly giggle box with a heart of gold, according to him. i always snuggle with him because he's warm and the bunker is freezing unless it's roughly 90 degrees outside, I have this innate desire to adopt every stray animal I pass, and tell crappy dad jokes to lighten somber moods. PSI THOUGHTS 2: THE ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

Aka time to share some thoughts on the profile blurbs and participate in some wild speculation

(Quickly though I just wanted to say that the new outfits are fine but there is something weird to me about them... It’s like this weird mix of taking the original designs, trying to modernize them while also keeping them looking the same and it like... It feels like they tried to Adventure-fy the old designs it somehow made the kids look like background extras of their own show?? IDK maybe it’s just nostalgic bias or something lmao. But yeah the kids look fine, I wish they had left Mimi’s hat pink and... Man they really did Koushirou a dirty, eh. He really looks awful in that outfit holy shit)

When it comes to the kids I actually don’t have much to say about them- they kinda sound like parodies/abridged versions of themselves from Adventure, like the way they call Mimi a “princess”, which kind of sounds like someone saw her childlike innocence from Adventure and figured all there is to Mimi is that she’s a whiny little brat (/”princess”). I am jumping to conclusions here but rn I feel like tri. had a better understanding of the characters than Psi, but then again Psi doesn’t have to stay through to Adv.’s characterization.

The only things I found worth mentioning were that Hikari indeed seems to have a sixth sense so she seems to still be the DigiJesus (or, well, techinically they made it sound like Hikari has a tendency to astral project but whatever lmao). But in a twist, based on Takeru’s profile he too may have that sixth sense! 8O And ngl I am very excited to see where they’re going with that

EDIT: I misread a good portion of the blurb, ignore the next these paragraphs lmao (leaving it here for people to laugh at tho)

Also; They mention Takeru lives apart from “his brother” due to “circumstances”... Now either these profiles are vague and cheeky because the writers don’t want to spoil to any kids that Takeru and Yamato are brothers whose parents divorced, OR... A) They are brothers but their parents aren’t divorced (yet) or B) They’re not brothers at all (they don’t have the same last names after all) and Takeru has another brother he lives away from for some reason.

I mean I do think it’s most likely the writers are being cheeky and trying to not spoil things for the kids, but the fact they didn’t mention Yamato being Takeru’s brother at all is super interesting to me.

ONTO THE DIGIMON, again, not much to say about the most of them. They did confirm the Adult form of every Digimon so my hopes of branching evolution trees has been smothered a bit but not killed yet, not entirely- it is still possible they could get new Perfect level forms and/or multiple Perfect forms. Or Ultimate (depending on how Psi will treat levels, like for all we know they could ditch the level system again like Frontier and Xros Wars did)

BUT THERE’S THREE THINGS WORTH NOTING IN THOSE PROFILES! The Great War, no mention of Angemon, and Tailmon.

Some people immidiately started speculating about a multiverse/AU theory from the mention of the War and how Agumon knew Taichi but considdering the other things mentioned in the profiles I doubt this is the same Agumon from Adventure... Unless it was specifically Agumon and Agumon alone while all the other Digimon were from this universe specifically. But still, I don’t think there’s any multiverse stuff going on here, Agumon just pulled a Hikarigaoka-esque stunt at some point but nobody remembers it, probably

The mention of the “old Internet” (and the war that happened there) makes me wonder if they’re going to pull an X-Antibody-esque kinda storyline with Yggdrasil or something where instead of a Digital World being destroyed, it’s the Network? Who knows, there’s only so much you can speculate based on a handful of words

Patamon totally evolves into Angemon, I think they’re just being cheeky about it and Angemon is like a “legendary warrior” and some shit like that, it’s totally gonna be like that and I’m sure he’ll die just like he did in the past

BUT WHAT’S REALLY INTERESTING FOR ME IS TAILMON

TAILMON WON’T JOIN THE KIDS/HIKARI, SHE’S JUST BEING MYSTERIOUS AND SHIT, LIKE REI IN APPMON

Now that’s a trope old as kids’ shows, but it’s still interesting due to its implications.

Tailmon could be a lone wolf because she’s on a secret mission. She could be a lone wolf because she has some issues. She could be a lone wolf because she’s teamed up with the enemy and is either playing Taichi and co into a trap, or she’s having second thoughts and is kinda two-timing the Chosen and the enemy

There’s many options, and it’s very interesting to see what they’re going to do

And if Tailmon is working for the enemy... Who is it?

There isn’t much left to discuss here actually... The enemies we see in the new trailer kind of remind me of the Virusmon in Appmon, but they look a bit... off? IDK maybe it’s just this weird whiplash of the old Digimon looking weird to the new enemies with more modern designs. That said I wouldn’t be surprised (and I would be a bit happy actually) if those new enemies from the trailer were not Digimon, but they probably are, and I’m sure we’ll find out what species they are

Now one last thing I found interesting about the trailer (which is definitely giving me that Hunters/Appmon feeling rn) is that we definitely see the kids entering the Internet in it (the Internet having that very DigiQuarts/AR Field look to it).

The thing is, we had it already confirmed way back that there is a Digital World, it’s the green foresty thing on the poster. So it’s going to be interesting to see how they’ll handle the Digital World- it already sounded a lot like to me that the kids could travel with ease from the Human World to (what has now been confirmed to be) the Internet, so how that’ll extend to the DW is interesting. Is it going to be like like how the Deep Web worked in Appmon where once you go deep enough you’ll find the DW?

So will we see a lot of the DW or will the show take mostly place on the Internet with very limited visits to the DW?

(Unrelated but hilariously that was kind of what I always expected Appmon would do, like they’d go deep into the Net Ocean and find themselves in the Digital World (with Digimon specifically) and I was sad nothing like that ever happened so it’s gonna be surreal and hilarious if that’s exactly what Psi does)

And.... I think that’s it? I can’t think of any other things to briefly discuss, I ran out of disjointed thoughts
