Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: Merry Christmas Eve if you celebrate! & happy holidays to you and yours 🤍 This one might even be a short one 😱! I still plan on doing the whole 12 days of promptmas although Christmas is tomorrow but—you Christmas lovers celebrate until the new years right? Anyways here’s a little something for coco that’ll hopefully make you smile.

Just to realize it wanted to be posted today so this is brought to you guys early! Hope you enjoy this little thing 😬🫣 + GIF BELONGS TO: @thesewickedhands
PROMPT: #25. “I don’t care that you’re hanging up lights, get off the roof!”
WARNINGS: mentions of religion, drug addiction, & coco being hardheaded af.
˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Why was the gravel ashy if Santo Padre hardly got any snow?
That was the main thing on her mind on her drive back to the house. Surely it would make sense if they lived in a climate where snow was common. Honestly it was a little aggravating witnessing this as the wheels rode over the pavement; she wished they were experiencing rain on this winter day to bring in some damn moisture for once.
As she approached the house, her large round eyes formed into slits as she noticed something on the roof of her home. She stopped chewing as she creeped the car along the sidewalk, getting closer to the cream-colored home.
Just to her suspicion she took in the frame of the long haired man crouched on the roof. Immediately her window went down as she leaned over the passenger side yelling, “Coco, what do you think you’re doing?”
He silently cursed to himself as he sniffed, flicking the buds of his cigarette, watching the embers float downwards before he proposed a question himself, “you’re back home early. Something go wrong at church?”
He silently cursed to himself as he sniffed, flicking the buds of his cigarette, watching the embers float downwards before he proposed a question himself, “you’re back home early. Something go wrong at church?”
The woman snickered to herself, knowing that Coco took the opportunity of her heading out to church to do—whatever it is that he’s doing on top of the house. Church was something that called her every so often (she came from a religious background so it was not a foreign idea to her but after living on her own, she didn’t find a true place of worship like back home) and even brought coco with her a couple of times. He enjoyed the singing portion and often felt anointed by the soulful voices after his struggles with drug addiction, yet he did not enjoy the long sermons.
She was climbing out of the emerald green Volkswagen Beetle then, boots on her feet as they clacked against the sidewalk to stand a great distance from the house but directly in Coco’s line of vision. His ink eyes scanned over her frame, a black leather jacket he bought for her last Christmas, tossed over a v-neck cut bodysuit…but most importantly the aluminum pan she was eating from, right in front of his face.
“I lied,” she answered around the shredded beef quesadilla with a lift of her shoulders, “I didn’t go to church.”
Coco blew his smoke to the side as a small frown appeared in between his brows, “where you go then? Aye…Don’t they say lying is a sin?”
She fought against the wind chill that surrounded her body, flicking her hair back from her shoulders as she fired back, “and isn’t waiting for you girlfriend to leave to do whatever it is that you’re doing, sneaky?”
“What’s sneaky about hanging up lights for the house?” Coco suddenly dragged the line of lights from behind him, holding them up in the air for her to see.
She blinked, “uh…maybe waiting until no one is around to help you?”
“I don’t need any help, I got it.” Coco stubbornly replied, “just like you didn’t need any help, lying about your whereabouts dressed like that and coming back eating that shit right in front of my face.”
The woman’s plump lips scrunched up at the slight attitude she was receiving right now. It was evident that Coco felt like he was being nagged but all she asked was a simple question.
Only for his well-being.
Taking a deep inhale and exhaling she took a different approach, “Pilates. I was at Pilates, okay? Yes, I’m following the latest trend, I fear, and I don’t wanna hear nothing about it. I Wanted to try something new and it was cool for like thirty minutes until I learned each session is a hour and sometimes a hour or more.”
Coco scratched at his hair with the hand that held his cigarette. “The hell is that?”
“What?”
“Pilates, you said?”
“Oh, it’s a strength training exercise.”
Coco pushed out his lips and shrugged, figuring he would just look it up later online. He had work to do but at least she was being honest…until another thought occurred to him.
“If you were out exercising…why you eating something so oily?”
Now why would he say that?
Was Coco a nutritionist instead of a Mayan?
Coco could see from on top of the house that she didn’t care for that response. The flare of her tinted button nose almost made him regret saying it. He wasn’t trying to knock his girl for her eating habits, it was only a question, but it was clear the holiday season was giving unnecessary stress to them both.
He watched as she stomped back over to her car, snatched her cotton tote bag from the backseat and slammed the door shut. With her head held high up the air, she began strutting down the rest of the sidewalk to head up the path that led to the house. She halted as she realized she dropped her dusty pink leg warmers, bent down to shove them back into the bag, not without giving Coco her full ass to kiss and knew he would be watching, as she held up her middle finger in between her legs and up at her blunt boyfriend.
Just as she turned around he said:
“My bad—
He started, knowing that he pissed her off.
“I don’t care that you’re hanging up lights, get off the roof!” Was all she shouted throughout the neighborhood, he was sure if anyone was around, especially that nosy old man, Hector from across the street, he would probably be on Coco’s head about this.
The glare in her large round eyes and the pointing was all Coco needed to know they were in argument right now. However he didn’t have any words to argue with, so he stood up from the roof, cigarette back in his mouth as he now held the lights in both hands, silently stamping his claim. This motion was enough for her to get that Coco wasn’t going anywhere, he was going to do whatever he set his mind to.
“Okay, Johnny.” Was all she said, sending him a sweet smile that was anything but, before entering the house with a slam of the door.
Coco laughed to himself, peeking back over at his lady’s car noticing that she didn’t bother to roll the windows up, (it was supposed to rain tonight) she was so annoyed with him. He knew he’d do it later just in case the automatic windows decided they wanted to get stuck again but his focus were on these Christmas lights.
Coco wanted to decorate the outside, that’s all he cared about; since he never got the chance to do it growing up with the kind of mother he had…however he was slowly building a family and felt like this was something he should do.
So he did.
Hours passed to the point she forgot Coco was even outside as she got wrapped up in other things around the house. From showering, to putting Christmas tunes on while tidying the house some more, to switching on the Christmas trees lights and faux poinsettias over the mantle, she was finally sitting down on the couch, finishing her leftover lunch when Letty entered the house, searching for her.
“Hey, do you know coco’s hanging from the side of the house?” Letty questioned, “he told me not to say anything but—when do I ever listen to what he says?”
A smirk appeared on her lips then, which made confusion wash over Letty’s face as she watched her take her time slipping on her jacket and Uggs. The teen just raised her hands, not wanting to be bothered with what those two had going on as she began making her way to the kitchen. The girl halted in the hallway, backtracking, doe-eyes scanning the doorway to make sure that she was in fact out of the house, as Letty plucked up the last quesadilla, running to her bedroom.
A sigh left her lips as she stood into the much cooler evening air. Her arms folded against each other as she watched coco dangle from the side of the home by the lights that held him hostage by his ankle.
“Hey there stranger,” she started, to get his attention, “how’s it hanging? Any blood rushing to your head yet?”
“Fucking Leticia,” Coco muttered not wanting her to see him like this, “Can you get me down, mamita?”
“Oh, so now you want my help?”
“I don’t exactly have my gun to shoot this shit off. So yeah.” He lightly spun, hanging upside down like a bat in its cave.
She was positive he would have done something exactly like that if no one was around. It was just humorous to her that he was not only in his predicament over some lights, but he was the one giving her attitude for not wanting him to injure himself up there in the first place and now look at him.
The nerve of this man.
“Maybe I should leave you here until midnight.”
“I’ll probably be dead by then.”
“I hope not.”
“Mamita! Stop fucking around, please! I’m starting to lose feeling in my neck.”
She would be lying if she said that didn’t spark her heart rate a bit. However she still took her time walking fully over to him, one hand in her pocket as she slipped out her knife and swiped it around his ankle. Quickly stepping back she watched at the lights unraveled the man, sending him head-first right into the grass.
Coco laid there for a bit on his stomach, before he lifted his head some, long hair in his eyes as she watched him. “Thanks.”
“Mhm,” she kicked the grass before holding her hand to help the man to his feet. Her hands went to his skull next, fingertips pressing into the scalp beneath his shiny hair.
Coco melted into her hands then, as she gave him a massage in a attempt to help the headache he was probably facing now. His hands went to her waist, mainly to steady himself before he completely pressed his head to her chest.
“My bad,” He whispered into the orange frosted sky, “I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings earlier.”
This she knew.
Yet coco didn’t receive a vocal response from her, she just held onto him like he wanted. They were both trying their best to heal from their own inner demons, so the couple knew they couldn’t take what was said personally.
So they’d blame it on the holidays for now.

Mama || Leticia "Letty" Cruz
Tumblr media
(GIF: @angels-reyes)
A/N: This was created because I've seen some speculation that Letty may not make it to the end of Season 3 (😭🥺). My mind needed something fluffy to combat this and so this piece came about. Apologises for grammatical errors and please let me know if the Spanish translation needs correcting.
Characters/Pairing(s): Letty x Reader (mother-daughter relationship) ▪︎ Coco x Reader (mention) ☆ Mayans MC (brief mention) ▪︎ OCs (receptionist, mother and son duo)
Summary: Just a mother protecting her daughter.
Warnings: brief mention of altercation (male and female), description of injuries, fluff, language, nicknames, painkillers (reference to injury)
Word Count: 1755
- ♤ - ♡ - ◇ - ♧ -
(Y/N) couldn't believe how busy the roads leading to the local high school were. It was a Wednesday, a little after ten and the streets were just packed with cars. She thought it was ridiculous considering people were usually at their jobs and children were in their age appropriate schools. There was no reason for people to be out and about.
"The light's been green for five seconds!" she yelled and honked her horn, "move!" The driver in front gave her the finger before taking off, "you're so fucking lucky I've got somewhere to be, asshole!" she called out as she drove in the opposite direction.
When her phone rang during her break, the last person (Y/N) expected to hear from was the receptionist for Santo Padre High School. According to the woman, Leticia (Letty as she was mostly referred to) had been in an altercation with another student and her parents or caregivers were requested to come and meet with the principal. Rachel, the receptionist, mentioned trying to reach her father but going straight to voicemail. With (Y/N) being listed as an emergency contact she was called.
(Y/N) immediately asked about Letty, but was told that specific details couldn't be discussed over the phone. She found that odd, but accepted it (for the time being) and informed Rachel that she would be there as quickly as she could. After hanging up, she grabbed her belongings and told her manager she had a family emergency to attend to. She was cleared and (Y/N) informed him that she would be taking a week off as well and would keep them updated on her situation.
From the moment she received the call to the time she pulled up in front of the high school, her thoughts revolved around Letty. Being with Coco for several years allowed (Y/N) to gain some insight to the type of life he had been subjected to. Through a lot of tears, constant reassurance and love (Y/N) was able to break through his tough exterior and get him to believe she was in it for the long haul. When (Y/N) was told by him about his daughter being in a similar environment to what he was in growing up, she demanded him to bring her home.
The second she laid eyes on Letty she saw Coco's features and personality shine through. (Y/N) didn't expect the teenager to respect or trust her right off the bat, but she made sure to let her know that she was here if she needed someone to talk to and gave her space. With every door slam, harsh comment and glare sent her way, (Y/N) continued being herself and showed Letty she wasn't a threat. It was challenging, especially when Coco left on runs, but she pushed through. Eventually the teenager began to accept her father's girlfriend without second guessing her.
(Y/N) stepped into the main office and found a woman standing beside a teenage boy, who held some paper towels to his nose and had a couple of scratches on his face. She moved closer and realised the pair were towering over Letty who sat in the corner and was looking down at her lap. Clenching her jaw, she strode over to the trio.
"Get the fuck away from my daughter!" she glared at the duo and turned around to Letty, who was now standing, "mi niña, are you okay?" she kissed her forehead and cupped her cheeks, "Leticia?"
The teenager nodded, "uh… y-yeah, I'm fine," she went to move (Y/N)'s hands but winced, "completely fine."
(Y/N)'s eyes widened at the state of Letty's hands. They were most likely bruised and what shocked her even more was that there was no ice-pack beside her seat. The boy clearly had been given assistance, but her baby girl hadn't and that pissed her off.
"Rachel!" she called out and a woman appeared around the corner, "you're the one who called me right?"
"Yes."
"And, you said you couldn't go over specific details of what happened over the phone?"
"That's correct."
(Y/N) nodded and gestured towards Letty's hands, "well I'm here now and would like an explanation on why my daughter hasn't been treated and that young man has?" When the mother tried to give a reason, she raised a hand in her face, "this doesn't concern you, this conversation is between Rachel and I."
Rachel gulped and could feel the anger radiating off of (Y/N), "well… uh, he was bleeding and –"
"Were there other staff members present?" she asked and when she was given a nod, she continued, "why couldn't they have provided medical assistance to my daughter?"
"She… didn't tell us she was hurt, ma'am, she said she was fine so –"
"Bitch do her hands look fine to you?"
The mother scoffed, "at least we know where your daughter gets her attitude from."
(Y/N) turned to her, "shut up, nobody asked for your ass to speak," she gestured towards her son, "the reason your son's looking like a fucked up tomato is completely justified I can vouch for that."
"Are you kidding me?" She shrieked and pointed to his face, "he's most likely got a broken nose and there's scratches on his face!"
"Exactly, be glad my daughter didn't have a screwdriver on her." (Y/N) replied and almost laughed at the disbelief on the woman's face, "your son deserved every scratch, bruise and possible broken bone."
"Excuse me!?"
(Y/N) ignored her and turned back around to face Rachel, "Letty and I will be leaving now."
"Mrs Fraser hasn't seen –"
"My main concern right now is my daughter's well-being," she told her, "and you've got my details on file so I'm sure Mrs Fraser can contact me at a later date."
Rachel spoke again, "please if you'd just –"
"No."
(Y/N) picked up Letty's bag and walked over to the desk, with Letty trailing behind her. She quickly signed out on the tablet and the pair walked out of the building. Reaching her car, (Y/N) unlocked it and helped Letty into the passenger seat. Closing her door, she rushed to the driver's side and got in.
She helped Letty buckle up, before buckling herself in, "everything okay, sweets?"
"Yeah… uh, thanks." was the response she received, before she started up the car and pulled out of the school parking lot while explaining where they were off to next.
-- ♡ -- ◇ --
"He's always talking shit," Letty explained to (Y/N) about the guy in the office, "it was about time someone shut him up."
"And you were the person to do so?"
She shrugged her shoulders, "he ran his mouth and then touched me, so I beat his ass."
"Two for one special?"
"Pretty much."
(Y/N) chuckled, "when your hands heal up, we'll ask one of the guys to teach you a few moves in the ring, thankfully your hands are just bruised and not broken."
"They still hurt like a bitch."
"You've got another two hours before you can drink some more painkillers."
"What would've happened if Coco answered the phone?" Letty questioned.
(Y/N) shook her head, "honey, I don't even think I wanna know what would've happened," she noticed the teen wince, "are you okay?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure?"
She huffed, "I'm fine, okay? I was fine when you picked me up. I was fine when we went to the doctor's office. I was fine at the grocery store and I was fine the last time you asked me."
(Y/N) nodded and pulled into their driveway, putting the car in park, "I'm not gonna apologise about asking how you're feeling. I'm just – I just want to make sure you're okay. But, now I'll stop because I can see I'm annoying you."
"Yeah, you are."
She chuckled, "okay, I'll stop, but you'll tell –"
Letty sighed, "yes, I'll tell you. You really take this parenting thing seriously. I mean… you've been referring to me as your daughter all day and I–I'm not. But you defended me –"
"And I always will."
" – against Kyle, his mum and even the receptionist. I–I've never had that before. And, even at the doctor's office you made sure I was seen by a female because you knew it'd make me more comfortable."
"Letty?"
"You treat me like I'm yours and you called me your daughter and I… I don't know, I just," she took a deep breath, shook her head and looked out of the window.
(Y/N) waited for her to continue, but she didn't. Thinking back on today's events, she realised she had referred to Letty as her own. She had been doing it in her mind for so long and didn't realise she had said it out in the open. Letty had heard her reference and it seemed to make her uncomfortable and that was something she vowed she wouldn't do.
"When I started dating your dad he told me about the kids he had. He told me that he wasn't involved in their lives because being away from them was for the best. I asked him what would happen if one day a kid reached out and his response was "if they do, they do. I ain't gonna turn them away", (Y/N) spoke up, "and then you reached out, sweetums. You reached out and your dad took that as a sign. From the moment you entered our lives, it's been a whirlwind of emotions. We're not this picture perfect family, but we're our own version. Despite being almost an adult, Coco still views you as his baby girl. And, honestly, I've been viewing you the same way."
Letty sniffed and looked up, "really?"
"Absolutely, gorgeous. The moment you stepped through that door you became mine as well," (Y/N) pointed at the front door of their home, before turning to her, "but that doesn't matter if you're not okay with it. I'm not trying to force you to be –"
"I'm Coco's daughter," she cut in and smiled at (Y/N), "and now I'm yours too."
(Y/N) beamed with joy and unbuckled her seatbelt, and Letty's, reaching over the middle console to bring the teen into her arms. Letty wrapped her arms around (Y/N), breathing in her (scent). The woman chuckled and kissed her cheek, "I love you, baby girl."
Letty pulled her closer, "I love you too, mama."

When Coco told you that he actually has a daughter, in Santo Padre, you couldn't believe him. He was in tears, begging you to forgive him for not telling you about it, after two years together. You couldn't blame him. You had the bad luck of meeting his mother, and you understand why he has been trying to hide his family from you. He was scared of you abandoning him because of that. Because his life has been a mess, until he met you. But when you hugged him, trying to calm his crying, assuring him that you would like to meet Leti; you make him more happy than ever. Coco really wanted to do the right thing with her and you wanted to support him, as you have always done. His daughter knew already about you and, even if she told him that she didn't want to meet you, you were aware that she didn't want to fuck up things between you two. She couldn't.
Parking your car close to the bikes, you can hear Angel yelling at you with a laugh stuck in his throat.
“MAAAAAAMI”.
“You idiot”. Chuckling and stepping out of your car, you let him hug you tightly. “So, where's my Coco, ah?”
“Clubhouse. Having fun with his kid”. He replies, raising both eyebrows.
“How is she?” You don't want to sound worried, but you are.
“Good girl, bad life”.
Nodding in silence, you continue your steps upstairs, opening the door to be greeted by the crew with a bunch of kisses. Bishop is focused on your reaction, when you turn to the round table. Your boyfriend is there, sitting close to a sixteen girl with black long hair. No one can say that she's not his daughter. Watching him cutting a toast for her, smiling and talking about doing things together, Coco melts your heart without knowing it. Walking towards them, you place a hand on top of his head to ruffle his hair. The man raises his eyes at you with parted lips, more relaxed when he finds you smiling.
“Hey, mami”. He mumbles, seeing Leti standing up and cleaning her hands on the shirt. Visibly nervous.
“Hi, I'm… I'm…”
You can't help but hug her tightly for some seconds.
“You are Leti”. Completing her sentence, she just nods a little shy, puckering her lips.
“And you are, (Y/N). Coco has… talked to me about you a lot”.
“Don't believe anything he said”.
The girl laughs, and your boyfriend is still amazed looking at you two.
“Take, querida”. Turning at Bishop, you hold the mug he is bringing you with coffee on it.
“Thanks, prez”. Fixing your eyes back to the Cruz family, you have a sip. “Can I sit?”
“Yes, yes”. Leti sounds excited, while Coco only can nod about to cry, seeing you creating a new relationship without feeling obligated to.
For hours, you talk about a lot of things. About your job, about how you met Coco, about what you do with the Mayans. And also about music and tv shows. As Angel said, she's just a good girl, with a bad life. Then, you have an idea.
“Where are you staying?” You ask, leaning slightly over the table.
“With… Celia”.
“Yeah, until… you know, we find something better. It's gonna take us some seconds”. Coco mutters a little ashamed.
“Got an empty room in my house, and Coco is practically the whole day there”. You say with feigned casual.
Silence. They look at each other. Leti shakes her head and her hands.
“Don't worry, it's okay. I can't wait”.
“Yeah, ma—”.
“C'mon! It's empty! You can't live with that crazy bitch”. These words come from the deepest place in your soul. “We just would have to clean it and buy some furniture. I'm free today and tomorrow, Leti. So Coco could continue working at the scrapping”.
“You serious, mami…? You don' have t—”.
“Plus, we can spend some time together when you're on a run. You know, girls night. I always wanted to have a little sister”.
That is the point. Coco told you about that family thing. You are not trying to be her mother, but her friend. And you really want to do it, not only for him, but for her.
“What you say, ah? Shopping?”
Leti nods in silence, with her eyes a little reddened. Probably, no one has worried ever like you are doing right now.
“Good! It's gonna be funny, you will see”.
“Thank you…” She whispers with a broken tone of voice, making you stand up to walk behind your boyfriend until reaching her.
She gets up too, wrapping your waist with both arms, as you place yours on her shoulders.
“This is what, actually, a family does”. You just say with a huge smile on your lips.

"Yo dude". Angel threw a piece of balled up paper at you as you sat typing on the computer.
"Yeah". You turned around in your chair.
"Bishop wants you".
"Coming". You took off outside, running into a person as you went through the door.
"I'm sorry". You apologize fixing your hat.
"It's cool, should have knocked before coming in I guess". The person, a girl laughed.
"Sorry again". You took off finding Bishop.
"Y/N, did you put the tracker on the shipment"?
"Yes, you can track it by this phone". You handed him the phone showing the red dot that was the shipment.
"Good job son". You smiled wide as he patted your back.
"Um, theres a girl at the bar. I don't know who she is".
"Oh thats Leti, Cocos daughter. Shes about your age". Bishop told you not talking his eyes off the phone.
"Okay". You said heading back into the building. Leti sat at the bar nursing a beer.
"Do you have ID for that"? You can up behind her with a chuckle. Sitting down beside her.
"My dad said I can have one, just one. This is my second one but you can keep a secret right"?
"Yeah sure". You played it off.
"Dude stop drooling over Leti". Coco came in the room.
"I'm not. Just talking".
"How many have you had of those"? He asked Leti.
"This is my first one". She scoffed and laughed.
"She's not lying, is she"?
"No man. Thats her first one".
"You better not be lying to me"?
"I'm not".
"Good, you coming to the party tonight"?
"Probably".
"We'll find you a chick". Coco popped a top on a beer.
"Um, I'm gay".
Coco spat his beer all down his shirt, on the wall and floor.
"You're what"?
"I'm gay". You took off your hat and shook out your hair.
"You're a chick". He gasped in shock.
"Yeah so"?
"Then why tell me you're a guy then you're gay but turn out to be a girl that likes chicks"?
"To see your face right now. It's priceless". You bellied over laughing. Leti snickered beside you.
"Not funny". He pointed his finger at you as he walked off to get cleaned up.
"How long have you fooled them"?
"It's been about six months". "I have waited so long to do that".
"How did you get started here anyways"?
"My mom is Tazas cousin and she wanted me to stay out of trouble so she called him up and I'm putting my special skills to work".
"Wrong place to stay out of trouble". She laughed.
"Hey, I have stayed out of trouble that my mother knows of".
"So you going to the party tonight"? She asked you.
"Yeah, you going"?
"Maybe. You going to pull that on the others"?
"If Coco hasnt spoiled it then I yeah I will. Just this time I'll have a camera. That was the funniest shit I have ever seen".
"Then I'll see you there". Leti winked at you and walked out to find Coco so he wouldn't tell the others. You sat there with a grin on your face.

Tumblr media
"I don't know what I want, Letty. Everything sounds so good."
You pouted as you looked up at the menu on the side of the truck listing every different kind of smoothie you could think of. Letty shrugged as she looked over the menu herself.
"Try something new. Or we could just order for each other?"
At that you smiled, some of the pressure from having to hurry up and decide what to order now simmering.
"Yeah, ok. That sounds fine."
Poking her head out of the window, the woman who owned the smoothie truck grinned as she saw Letty, her brightly shining brown eyes shifting over to you as she noticed you standing beside her.
"Leticia! You're back. And you brought a friend! Is this the one?"
She nodded wearing an uncomfortable smile as she motioned to you, introducing you.
"Yep. This is the one."
She told her your name and how you were her best friend, but you weren't listening too much, still wondering why she would have been talking to the woman about you at all. The butterflies in your tummy took flight at the thought that maybe she felt the same way about you that you did about her, but you pushed it down, not wanting to disappoint yourself. You had been friends for a while now, college bringing you together and helping you bond. You did practically everything together. You knew Letty like the back of your hand and she knew you just the same. With as bold and impulsive as she was, if she had the same feelings you did, surely she would have made a move by now.
"I come here all the time, obviously."
You waved to the woman and she returned it, a warm smile on her lips as you both ordered for each other. You and Letty made small talk, passing the time until your smoothies were done. They both looked delicious and you paid before walking over to the picnic table beside the truck to sit down. You continued to talk, but there was a tension that wouldn't go away, ever since the woman had mentioned you. Neither of you was willing to address it, and so it hung over like a cloud, the giant elephant in the room. The silence that suddenly came over the two of you was anything but comfortable and you decided to bite the bullet.
"So...how does she know about me?"
Letty took a long sip from her smoothie to buy herself time, the slight brain freeze making her wince. She fumbled for a few seconds before answering.
"She was just asking me if I had any friends one day since I always came alone or with Coco. So I told her about you."
Letty shrugged and tried to play it off as if it was nothing, but you could feel your excitement building.
"...What'd you tell her?"
Letty looked up from her pineapple smoothie and let her eyes fall on yours.
"That you're one of the nicest people I know. That you always look out for me. That Even Coco likes you and he hates everyone. That you...make me happy."
She looked away from you then and cleared her throat, not liking the feeling of being vulnerable. You on the other hand couldn't hide your smile. You rubbed at your cheek bashfully and finally responded.
"Did you tell her that you make me happy too?"
Letty looked back up at you, her eyes serious as she tried to read you.
"I guess I forgot to mention that."
"Hmm."
Deciding to take the leap, you suddenly reached your hand out in front of her before you lost the nerve.
"Hey, can you hold this for me?"
Letty nodded on instinct, reaching for your hand and laying hers with the palm open, expecting you to drop something into it. When you simply laid yours on hers through, her brows knitted in confusion, a little laugh falling from her lips.
"This is just your hand."
You nodded, your heart pounding in your chest.
"Yeah."
She stared at you, waiting for the laugh or snort or "just kidding", but it never came. All she saw was hope in your eyes when she looked at you and she looked down at your hands together, closing hers around yours tightly.
"Yeah, I guess I can hold onto it for you."
You grinned and so did she, eyes locked on each other as you finally felt the final pieces falling into place. It was the sound of Letty's phone ringing that stole your attention away from each other as she used her free hand to answer.
"Yeah?"
"Did you tell her yet?"
Letty looked up embarrassed, knowing that you could clearly hear Coco's voice over the device, but the gentle squeeze you gave her hand eased her and she smiled as she looked at you.
"Yeah, I just did actually."

🌿
5. Pride:
“You ready?” you call from the front door as Letty scrambles into the room, a duffel bag slung over her shoulder. Her eyes are alight with excitement, despite her disheveled appearance. You chuckle. You knew she overslept.
“Where you two goin’ again?” Coco asks from the couch.
“LA Pride Parade,” you remind him as Letty pulls you in for a soft kiss.
Coco stands to embrace you both before you go. “Be safe. Call me if you need anything,” he says worriedly.
You grip Letty’s hand and step out into the sunshine, ready to take on the world with your girl.

barrier between us [ letty cruz ]
SUMMARY ─ quarantine had really hit you and letty hard and when you notice letty slowly starting to revert back to old habits, you know just the thing she needs
WARNINGS ─ female!reader, slight mentions of depression [ the quarantines really fucked up a lot of people, me included ] + general fluff
Tumblr media
as lockdowns went into effect across the country, kids sent home for spring break without word on if school would be reconvening after, and then slowly everything coming to a grinding halt.
you and letty had spent what you could of spring break together, but as the week ended, and lockdowns and mask mandates had come out for the state of california, both sets of parents had agreed that it would be for the safety of everyone if you and letty didn’t see the other outside of the house for the time being.
it had hit letty hard, the usually adventurous girl had been confined to a space she was always so desperate to go out of. not that being at home with her dad sucked, she had just always never wanted to be stuck at home with nothing to do. which is where she found herself currently. on top of that, she couldn’t see you.
when school had started back, letty found herself uninterested in schoolwork. she had missed her routine, getting to see you when the two of you would walk to class or gaby when she would go into the college center to get help on college applications or to apply for funding.
you had suggested that even with not being able to see each other, the two of you could still facetime and talk to each other for whatever the reason. and you had slowly noticed letty draw back on herself, and while you truly never knew a lot about her past, you knew she struggled with certain things.
so with a plan in mind, you reached out to her dad to see if he would be okay with it. knowing that it was now more important to ask before randomly dropping by like you had done before.
coco had agreed, and you could almost hear the smile through the phone as he listened to what your plan was. he too, could see how letty was slowly sinking into herself and had tried to reach out and offer support, but he was always gently turned done and he knew better than to push it. she was just like him in that aspect.
so right after classes had finished, you ordered some of letty’s favorite food. borrowing your mom’s car to go pick it up and then drive over to letty’s house with all of your supplies.
coco met you at the door with a smile. helping you set up a blanket and letty’s food on one side of the door frame and the same set up on the other. then helping you put up the shield your dad had helped you make last night. one everything was in place, coco called letty down.
when she had stepped around the corner, letty had fully expected to see coco standing over some mess she made and was getting ready to lightly scold her for it. instead, she found you standing on the porch and some weird plastic over the doorframe. “my dad helped me make it last night. that way, i could hug you and not have to worry about this damn virus.” you made a show of sticking your arms into the plastic sleeves, making grabby hands at your girlfriend as she caught on. letty put her arms in the other two holes and then she felt your arms wraps around her. was it weird to have some cut up shower curtain plastic curled around her? yes, but she enjoyed getting to feel your arms around her.
you pulled back, and looked back at the food you had gotten. letty smiled, pulling her arms from the plastic before taking a seat on the blanket you had laid out. you opened you take out box and dug in, smiling as letty had done the same.
for the next two hours, you sat and talked to each other. slowly watching as letty’s mood had improved and she looked more like the letty you had seen before the lockdown had started. when it was time for you to head home, you cleaned up and hugged letty one last time. making promises that you would definitely be doing this again. and while you wished you could kiss her, you thought about keeping her safe. so for now, the plastic barrier would just have to do. and you’d do that so long as you got to see her.

JOHNNY “COCO” CRUZ x black! Reader / SPRING PROMPTS!
Tumblr media
A/N: since I don’t/didn’t write nearly enough for him. *sigh* that’s all I’m going to say on that. My spring prompts were intentionally supposed to be fluff but…
WARNINGS; mentions of mental health, drug habits, some fluff, language, and dark times! Sad times!
Using: #11. fresh baked bread + #12. Walk in the woods from the spring OTP prompt list.
Track listened to while writing?
⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂ ⁂
They always say you don’t have enough time in the world. Most usually think the opposite and unconsciously live life like it’s any other day, that it’s limitless yet it’s anything but. For the last week it felt like there was just something weighing on your chest and your gut was telling you that time was running out. You tried to blame it on your clinical depression but this was different.
At the start of the new week you started to pay attention to everything more. How everyone in the house was on the go, you always at the bakery at the crack of dawn, preparing breads and pastries with your small crew for the morning rush, Letty doing instacart and showing up whenever she wanted or whenever her piece of shit boyfriend decided to pick her up, and with Coco…he was always on call. To you it just felt like none of you were spending enough time together lately and you wanted to change that.
Well…you attempted to.
The electric dough mixer down at the bakery decided to break after just spending $800+ on it a month ago—thankfully you had warranty on it so another one was being shipped out to you free of charge while the delivery service took the broken one off your hands. Bad news? It was on delay since apparently all the bakers wanted this dough maker so you had to wait two weeks for it. Which also means!! You all had to use your hands more, since there were only three available table top mixers.
“If the work becomes too much, just shut down for a few days, mamita. You deserve it.” Johnny suggested one night, the both of you sitting on your bed as he rubbed at your shoulders.
You leaned into his touch, reaching one hand up to rest against his hand, “Only if you take a break from the club.”
“…we’re not doin’ that tit for tat shit. And I already took a long enough break, don’t you think?” He stopped massaging you for a moment.
Sighing you answered, “yeah against your will, we all know you’re dealing with a disease.”
“Let’s,” he started to raise his voice and lowered his tone and softened his touch, “not go that route tonight. It was just a suggestion, you’re clearly stressed out and could use a break. And I’m trying to get back on track so it sounds like we all gotta do what’s best for us.”
You hummed, too exhausted to argue with your boyfriend for the night and slowly moved from his grasp. Coco’s intense eyes watched your entire being as you slid over to your side of the bed, reached into your night stand to tie your headscarf over your hair.
“Okay.” You finalized, reaching to toss the covers back as you rested underneath them with a yawn.
The man watched you for a moment before he got off the bed to flip off the light switch. Once beside you, he tangled your legs together and pressed his forehead in between your shoulder blades. Once you felt that you began to slowly close your eyes until he asked, “is it though?”
“I’m willing to spend time with not only you but letty. Our family. We have to find balance for each other here and you don’t want to call your health condition what it is…fine. You only want to share that at meetings? Oh-kay . We’ll do that your way but that’s part of life, we have to make time for each other. So…y’all let me know when we can fit into our busy schedule’s.” You mumbled, “goodnight.”
Johnny huffed out a breath against your back but tightened a hold on your waist for the night.
It was a Wednesday when Coco told you Marcus encouraged him and others to head out to Oakland this weekend and of course he took that opportunity. Coco could see that you were disappointed that he would be leaving and Letty seemed indifferent since she could always find something else to get into. Although the both of you shared deep conversations (only when Letty felt like being vulnerable that is) you knew that half of that was for show.
Although you knew this trip was for good measure, you had that sinking feeling sitting in your gut again. You were tight smiles as Coco talked about how good this would be to honor their fallen brothers yet you couldn’t help but to feel selfish about it.
“What’s your weekend, plans?” Coco asked, as he shifted you from the mirror as you finished twisting a section of your hair into a final knot.
He shuffled through drawers.
Pressing your tongue into your cheek, you breathed out a laugh and exited the bathroom. Coco shortly followed after you, tossing a arched tattooed leg up onto your bed to moisturize.
“What’s up your ass, huh?”
Your eyebrows raised as you glanced at him from over your phone. Facing your body in his direction, you turned your eyes into slits, “did our conversation two days ago not mean anything to you?”
The long haired man furrowed his brows, “you mean everything to me, you’re basically the other side of my heart, so yeah any conversation means something.”
Chewing on your bottom lip you deeply inhaled at that. You’d be a fool if you said those words didn’t make butterflies float around in your belly but you were more of a actions kinda person. Talking about the fairytales were always peaceful and it was always tough to get there but lately it felt like you were getting off track again.
Everything was becoming a routine rather than a necessity.
“So…you’re going to Oakland.”
He dipped his head, “I’ll be back early Sunday morning. You know it’s for a good reason.”
“Which I get…but it doesn’t feel right. Why can’t you honor your brothers here? Close to home instead.” You softly said.
Coco moved around the bed to plop down beside you, “‘Cause Marcus saw what efforts I’ve been putting in for this club. He trusts me to go out there and bond with another charter by paying our respects to something we share in common, the lost of family. I can’t pass that up. I know you understand that, right?”
“Of course I understand,” you huffed, “it’s a given when you get involved with someone in a risk taking club but sometimes I just wish you would put this family first too…what if you lose us?”
Instantly coco gripped your hand, getting you to meet his gaze. “Hey, I don’t ever want to hear you talk about that possibility. I don’t want to go back to that thought either, I had enough of that shit back on the mm.”
He searched your eyes which held worry in them. With his free hand he gripped your chin and ran his thumb gently over your brown skin, “I hear you though. As long as I got you and you got me, that’ll never be a lost. I even got plans for the both us tomorrow…oh yeah, I forgot to mention you’re taking a personal day from the shop.”
Coco watched as your frame brightened, almost like that special flower that needs the night to grow, at the news; despite the darkening bags that sat underneath your eyes. It was your turn to grip Coco’s now bare shoulder, “where are we going, johnny?”
“It’s a surprise, mamita. You better rest up.” He leaned forward to press a kiss to your cheek.
“How do you expect me to sleep when you just told me I get to spend time with my best friends tomorrow?”
Coco laughed pinching your chin, “you’re so fucken cute, mamita. I’m just happy that I can make a piece of my heart happy too.”
Pressing your lips to his, you pulled back while knuzzling your bulbous nose against his crooked pointed one.
“…Think you can help put me to sleep?” You questioned, caressing a finger against his bare waist.
His famous lopsided smile appeared on his lips, “I’d be honored to.” Before he pounced on you.
Letty wasn’t home by the time the two of you headed out. He sent her the address and told her to meet the two of you there if she wanted to be part of this moment and she sarcastically sent back some emojis in her typical teenage fashion. The two of you rode out of santo padre for at least half an hour and stopped on the side of the road, just for coco to blind fold you.
“So I know this is one of your kinks and everything bro but um, couldn’t we have discussed this before? I’m still trying to hold onto these lash extensions considering that money’s tight.” You responded, trying to loosen the hold on the back of your dome.
One thing about Johnny Cruz? The man was definitely heavy handed.
“We’re another ten minutes out, it won’t be that long. You can handle it, I promise.”
“I guess…” you trailed off, turning your head to where the passenger window would be.
You convinced your long time boyfriend that taking your car over his bike would be best, just in case Letty wanted to ride back home with you two. If you would have known you’d be off-roading a bit you would have saved your sweet Hyundai hatchback the trouble. Your eyes went wide as you felt the car rocking from side to side and thought you were on the verge of a car accident but Coco’s laughs and squeeze to your thigh gave some reassurance.
Once the car was in park, you sighed touching your chest before fumbling to unbuckle yourself from the car. Coco assisted you out of the car and stood in front of you to take the blind fold off.
Flinching at the partly cloudy sunlight you glanced around the man to see nothing but huge trees, dirt, and the smell of evergreen.
“Where are we?”
He didn’t answer your question, reaching forward to grip your hand, “Want to go for a mini hike?”
“Is that why you wanted me to wear these itchy ass gym pants?”
His free hand slid down your side before reaching backwards to give it a nice smack, “yeah…they’re also my favorite on you.” He winked while you shoved him back playfully.
“Nah, I just wanted you to be comfortable and enjoy the view. C’mon.” He led the way, intertwining his hands with yours.
The walk through the woods made the both of you feel at ease, despite you being clueless on the area ,you felt safe with the guy you’ve known since you were seventeen and it blew your mind to still be standing here after everything the both of you went through.
It truly was a blessing.
You felt yourself wanting to be closer and pulled yourself underneath his arm as you slowly walked through the woods, simply enjoying each other’s company. After a moment you found yourself looking up, feeling much smaller underneath the trees that stood above the both of you. You were chilly underneath the spring air and coco always felt cold but the weight of him surely blocked that feeling out. A white butterfly flew by your eyes, pulling you from the sky while the birds chirped along with each step you both took.
Once you approached a white bridge, you stopped to peer out at the lake to your right.
“…what you think?” Coco asked after a moment of white noise.
Blinking you looked at him, “there’s swans here?”
“Huh? Oh yeah they’re were fuckin’ annoying the last time I came out here so don’t get too excited about ‘em, they might turn up missing.” The braided-haired man glared at the green water while you snorted at the irritation on his face, “but I wasn’t talking about that. I’m talking about the house.”
The what?
Coco easily picked up the confusion on your face and lifted his chin in the direction of the said house that sat over and back from the water.
“Let’s go.” He smiled at your speechlessness and tugged you over the bridge and down a slope and over to what appeared to be a deep- red single family home.
Your eyes kept wandering around, the large plot of dirt that covered the driveway had you in awe. Even if you could afford multiple cars, it would take plenty to fill this lot but any parties hosted here you were sure everyone could fit here…as soon as you figured out another route to get here that is.
“That makeshift garage over there that Gilly fucked up, we can store the bikes and of course your car there, especially when we get those sandstorms.” Coco casually said before carrying on to the white picket fence that boarded the home.
He undid the latch before leading you into the front yard. A white door contrasted against the darker tone of the house and another covered by a Spanish lace black steel security door. There were large and medium sized windows on each corner of the house and to your left a white gated area (which also seemed to hold a chicken coop behind?) followed by a pathway in between.
“Want to head in?”
“Johnny…don’t play with me.” You started with a inhale, “what is this?”
He lifted his shoulders nonchalantly, “A house. Our house if you want it to be.”
Clenching your eyes shut you shook your head, “we can’t possibly afford this. How much is this? Is it renting or to purchase?”
“It’s ours mamita.” He pressed, gripping your forearms, “don’t stress, I got us. Remember months ago you said we needed our own space to grow together and it’s bigger than what we have now.”
Yes you liked the idea of having something new for the three of you, to grow better. It may have been what you needed but the both of you knew Johnny wasn’t the best when it came to money and that was before the dr*g habit swerved in.
“It’s got enough space for us, two bedrooms until leticia actually means what she says when she wants to get the fuck out, and two bathrooms. Our own laundry area, more storage space, a extra living space, our own lake.” He listed with his fingers.
You interrupted, “what is this madness, Florida?”
Coco snorted as he continued, “and the kitchen? I know you’re gonna love it. Me, Gilly, and Creeper just finished the floors the other day. Mind you it still needs a shit ton of work but I’m down to do it for us, you know?”
Your silence was beginning to make Coco anxious as his hold on your hand became fingers linked with yours instead.
“Take me inside then, show me what we’re working with.” You waved him forward.
It was his turn to beam at you as he gripped both sides of your face to kiss you. Smiling into the kiss, he gripped your hand and fished his jean pockets to find the key. As you stepped into the home you always kept in mind that the living situations here always required dim lighting since majority of the homes were built in the 1950’s and up. You were met with tile floors with a rug rolled off to the side, you weren’t sure what this open space was truly meant for but it could work for what it seemed like it was made for, a nice entrance way: coat racks, benches to put your shoes on your way out, large mirror against one wall, a runner on the floor, a large circle table with a floral arrangement, with possibly a nice light feature installed to brighten it up.
Excitement began to show on your face as you briefly touched the walls.
“This was originally a dining area? The kitchen is up to the right and the living room is right across from it.” Coco explained, “listen to me sounding like a preppy ass real estate agent.”
“If you were, maybe my room would be even bigger.” A voice called out making the man roll his eyes.
Easily recognizing the voice you followed it, glancing over at the carpeted living room which had a wood oven tucked in the corner, you entered the kitchen instead to find Letty leaning against the counter. The counters were on the lighter side, tan and looked fairly new. Your eyes immediately went to the floor and you were in love. Clasping your hands together you looked back at Coco who causally shrugged his shoulders.
“You did this?!”
“Mostly, yeah. The refurbishing the cabinets were a real pain in my ass though.” He commented.
“You did that!” You looked over at the white fridge, “I apologize to you Nene but as long as it works I don’t really care!”
Letty snorted as she also looked over at the fridge herself and then went over to the oven, “so what’s the verdict, y/n?”
“Oh I want it. It’s going to be a commute to work once we actually live in this but it’s a new beginning and I think we all need it.” You answered, still looking around, moving to peek at the indoor porch area?
“Are you sure?” Coco asked.
You stared out the window located in the indoor porch and felt a smile appear on your lips as you thought about the new memories that will be made here. Spinning on your heels you kept that smile on your lips as you held your arms out and tossed them around Coco’s neck.
“I still need the details about how this all went down but I’m too happy right now to worry about it.”
“Good,” he pecked your lips, “I don’t want you to worry about a thing anymore.”
“I love you, Johnny.”
“I love you too, even when you’re being all gushy and shit.” He smiled down at your lips which you smacked with a roll of your eyes.
“Alright enough of this romance shit, let’s eat this over baked bread which coco wanted me to bring here for you. Don’t worry before you even ask, yes it’s fresh…I think y/n!” Letty shoved her way in between you two; holding a charcuterie board?
Shaking your head at the girl you peaked down at the board spotting some type of cheese you wouldn’t be eating, grapes, salami, and your favorite: pumpernickel bread waiting for you.
“Did you call this over baked bread, leticia?” You pulled a large piece apart and shoved it into your mouth as the girl nodded, “it’s supposed to look like this. Just extra melanin to it, nothing wrong with that.”
“Well when you put it that way, of course not.”
“This is one my top favorite breads. Keeps you full since it’s heavy, slightly on the sweet side and made with sourdough and ground rye. Originally from Germany too.” You summarized as you held out the other piece to share with Johnny who tossed it into his mouth.
Letty widened her eyes and spun away, “and here I thought I dropped out of school.”
“Yeah…we’re gonna discuss that soon too.” Coco addressed, making the girl slightly frown at him but said nothing more, not sure if she really believed that.
You felt your own brows raise at that statement but the smile of your face out-beat it. You went over to the counter touching the material before grabbing another piece of bread.
“Did you show y/n the haunted part of the house, coco?” Letty grinned, lightly elbowing you.
Choking a bit, you peered at Coco who glared at his daughter who bit back a laugh.
“It’s not haunted.”
“Gilly thinks it is too.” Letty added, “it’s definitely eerie. You’ll see what I’m talking about soon, I’m sure.”
“Uh uh, now I don’t want to finish that part of the tour. I told y’all my grams is a preacher and she always told us any evil can latch onto you and that’s the last thing I need.” You did a cross motion over your chest.
Letty hummed, “isn’t your dad also a pro-golfer? Damn girl you should have brought a club with you then.”
“Letty shut the—stop talking! She’s kidding, matter of fact we’ll all go and see it’s not even that bad. We got to walk through there to get to the laundry room anyways.” Coco waved you along but you weren’t budging.
Coco sucked his teeth and charged over to the both of you, grabbing the both of you and going out the other door which led back to the front yard. Down the first narrow pathway you went—against your will, which led to another wooden gate leaving coco to unlatch that as well before turning to the right which led to the supposed haunted area. You spotted a light switch to the right of the house and cautiously stepped forward with Letty’s arm holding onto yours.
Coco was up ahead, sliding some doors open to show what would be the laundry area. When he looked back at the two of you, he sucked his teeth.
“Could you two move any slower?!”
“Hey!” You called out, “I’m putting my faith in my girl here…this area is giving Jason voorhees.”
Letty exclaimed, “see!”
Once you got next to the man, you stood in silence for a bit eyeing the laundry area and slightly nodded your head before leaning towards the dark haired man.
“Ki Ki Ki, ma ah ma.” You muttered the famous theme song making Coco pull his body away from you in pure annoyance, while you and Letty both shared a laugh.
“Alright then,” Coco sniffed before he latched onto your wrist.
Oh no.
“Wait!” You pleaded, “I don’t think I should be man handled right now, I just ate. Can we do this a little bit later when my bread digests?”
Coco shifted his eyes, thinking about it. “No. you’ve been talking shit so it’s two strikes and you’re out.”
‘That’s not really how it works…’ you thought.
“What did I do?! I didn’t say anything negative, just that it’s giving Florida and camp crystal lake combined! You need to talk to your daughter and her smart mouth. I love our new home because it’s ours! I’m super thankful. So whatever idea you got stirring in your Scorpio brain just forget it, let’s finish the tour, papi.” You attempted to plead your case but there was no going back when you became coco’s target.
He latched onto your thighs and flipped you over his shoulders with ease. Letty followed after the both of you, phone out recording the whole ordeal as Coco wrestled you to ground and legit sat on you.
“Johnny!” You screamed, “Get off me! You’re getting grass in my hair.”
“You got those Bantu shits in you’re fine,” He dismissed, “Letty get the hose.”
“I think the fuck not.” You mumbled as your self-defense class skills came in handy as you wrestled with the man you loved.
Now sitting on coco’s chest, you scrambled as he bucked to get you off him. Letty tossed you the hose and now it was your choice to turn it on and when no water flowed through, you frowned.
“Ha! The water hasn’t been turned on yet but I could always throw your ass into the lake out back.” He explained.
“And you’ll never see me again if you do.” You rolled your neck down at the man.
Coco kissed his teeth, “you ain’t goin’ nowhere, you’re mine.”
“You promise?”
“Obviously. I’m letting that perfect ass crush our heart right now for nothing.” Coco slightly wheezed, making you roll your eyes as you leaned over to kiss his lips.
That’s when he flipped you two over, but you didn’t seem to mind as much with his tongue fighting for entrance pass your lips and him hitching your legs up and over his hips.
“Ugh! I thought we were gonna get a beat down but it looks like it’s headed The Kim k and Ray J route so I’m outta here, gotta cut the cameras!” Letty scowled going back to her phone while you laughed and you were pretty sure Coco flipped her the bird.
He muttered against your lips, “ours is better anyways, much better! Those two don’t even know what a true masterpiece is.”
“Johnny, shut up!” You covered his mouth while he winked at you and Letty scrunched up her lips as she went back inside and far away from you two.
He laughed, pecking your lips again but not without lightly nipping your bottom lip before he moved to sit beside you. He searched his jeans for a cigarette as you rested your head in his lap.
“Tell the truth, you like it, you love it, or you not feelin’ it?” He said around the stick in his mouth.
Which you snatched from him and lightly tugged on one of his pigtails to grasp his attention, “I love it, you said it’s ours. Its home and you’re here which is where I want to be so it gets a stamp of approval from me. Also I see so much potential here so I’m sold, that’s all.”
“Way to narrow it down, simp.” He teased.
“Just had to be clear.”
“Crystal?”
You gasped while he winked at you.
That whole day played in your mind constantly after you got the worst news of your life. It was forever embedded into your mind along with lifelong memories that bled into your brain. It was too painful right now but it wouldn’t stop even when you closed your eyes, he was there. His voice, his touch, his longing stare…except this time he wouldn’t be coming back and you didn’t know how to stomach that. First you were incredibly sad but more angry than anything and that only amplified once you caught angel fucking Reyes zipping up his pants inside of your house.
It didn’t take long for you to peek and see Letty curled up on a arm chair staring blankly at the tv, for you to go into full attack mode.
“Y/n.” The taller thick bearded man started, raising his hands in surrender, “it’s not—
You clenched onto a golf club by the door and dropped everything else you had in your hands. All you saw was black as you began to frantically take deep breaths, “For as long as I’ve known you, I didn’t think you could stoop this got damn low. You are a shit stain and I’m gonna swing until your big ass head deflates!”
The amount of fear that actually appeared in Angel’s eyes was evident as he began scrambling around the house while you banshee screamed; swinging everything in sight, hoping it would catch your supposed “old friend” on his way out.
“Y/n!” Letty yelled, “stop!”
“Don’t you look at her and don’t you dare come by here again, you hear me?! I’ll kill you! And I hope Johnny haunts you even after your death.” You managed to catch a nice swing to his shoulder as Angel struggled to get the door open.
He yelped, “Ow, fuck! That hurt!”
“Get the fuck out of our house!” You got another hit to his lower back as he finally got out of the house.
With one last chuck, the club left a dent in the front door. Panting you turned to Letty who eyed you, unsure what to do.
“The hell was that?!”
Your eyes flicked up to the girl who almost straightened up at your appearance. It was almost sinister with the way you stared at her, holding your hands out as you slowly backed away from the clueless teen. Stumbling into the bathroom, you locked yourself in there and turned on the shower. Struggling to get a grip you held onto the counter for a moment, your head was pulsating and it was getting harder to breathe. Snatching a towel off the rack, you dropped to the floor and curled up into a position and pressed the towel to your mouth as you let out some screams which quickly turned to sobs.
Letty sat right by the door, head in her hands as she could faintly hear you in pain. It would now just be the two of you picking up the pieces to be each other’s person now. The common denominator would always be Johnny Cruz but Letty always felt like her time was limited with him, she’ll always think about the what if’s but at least she knew what she had. No doubt it sucked and it would always hurt but at least she still had you. She hoped that gave her dad—her coco some peace in his final moments.
Time is not always on your side but sanguinely you conquer it with the life that you choose.

A/N: Hi loves, this was a request from an anon. I hope you enjoy it, it took me a while to work out how I was going to write this, I hope keeping some of it accurate to the original scene worked out okay. Thank you for requesting! 💖💖
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Not sure if bringing you with me was a good idea.” Coco said, staring at the pack of cigarettes he’d put on the table. The pair of you were waiting inside the diner for Coco’s mother, Celia and his daughter Letty to show up. “Hey, since when have we faced shit like this alone?” You asked, Coco finally meeting your eyes and giving you a soft smile, but you could still see the anxiety he held beneath the sweet look he gave you.
You had known Coco for years, since before he did time in prison, though back then you had just been friends, but you had been his rock when he realised he’d have to give his only daughter away. It broke his heart to have to do it, but at the time, it was the right thing to do.
Just as you were about to reassure him further, Celia and Leticia entered the diner and approached the booth you were waiting in. Immediately, you felt Coco tense next to you, his eyes hardening to a heavy glare as he fiddled with the cigarette in front of him.
As the pair slid into the seats opposite you, Coco looked at anything but his mother and you began to feel like you were underprepared for the heavy tension that quickly rose between the four of you as Celia eyed you. You knew she’d likely make you a target if the conversation went south, but both you and Coco were wise to her manipulation. “Happy?” She asked in a sarcastic tone. “Shut up.” Coco spoke dismissively before turning to Leticia. “Gotta talk to you.” He told her, the teenager’s eyes having never left Coco. “Okay.” Letty nodded.
As the conversation went on, the tension rose further than you thought it could as you watched the interaction. It was awkward and confrontational and you felt the way Coco tensed even more when Celia struck Letty to keep her quiet. “Enough. Jesus.” He ground out, jaw clenched as he glanced up at the waitress watching the commotion.
“I’m glad you’re livin’ here now, right?” Coco said after a short pause, looking solely at Letty and trying to ignore his mother. Gently, you placed your hand on his knee, noticing how nervous he was getting as he approached the truth and he glanced at you quickly before looking back at Leticia. “But you can’t go around tellin’ people you’re my little sister.” “Why?” Letty asked. “Yeah. Why Coco?” Celia piped up in a mocking tone and you had to fight the urge to kick her under the table. “Shut up.” It came out as a whisper as your grip on Coco’s knee tightened slightly, trying to provide at least a bit of reassurance.
“Fuck.” Letty breathed out, disbelief in her voice. “Fuck, unbelievable. You don’t want anything to do with me either.” Leticia slammed her hand onto the table as she got up and walked away.
“Told you, she’s out of control.” Celia kept her condescending tone and you tensed, becoming increasingly angry at Coco’s mother. “If you had did what I asked you seventeen years ago, she wouldn’t be out of control. She’d have a decent life with a decent fuckin’ family.” He snapped.
You sat in silence as you listened to the pair argue and you increasingly had the urge to intervene and set Celia straight. You had been there for Coco through everything and Celia and her judgement was out of line. You knew she didn’t have an ounce of care for her granddaughter and Coco knew it too.
“The only reason you pretended to be her mom was so you could get that welfare cheque.” Coco argued. “Maybe I wanted another child cos the last one I had was a piece of shit.” Celia spat out, pointing at Coco and you almost threw yourself across the table at her but you knew this wasn’t your fight. You were here for support. “Then maybe you shouldn’t have let every diseased cock in Fresno turn your old gash into a cesspool.” Coco hissed in a bitter tone before he pulled away from you and got up to find Letty.
“Selfish bitch.” You glared at her as you slid out of the booth. “The fuck you just say? Coco is a fucking psycho, he’s bad for everything he touches, I should fuckin’ know.” Celia argued as she got up, squaring up to you, her hand batting you across the cheek, causing you to wince in pain and lean away from her. “Coco is anything but a psycho, you’d know that if you spent a second of your time actually appreciating him rather than trying exploit and manipulate your fucking family.” You stared her down, raising your voice a bit, the waitress watching you both, worried you might start a fight.
“Why’s a normal bitch like you with a fuck up like him, anyway?” Celia deflected, attempting to provoke you. Taking in a deep breath and clenching your jaw, you kept your anger in control as the waitress tried to get you both out of the diner. “Maybe because this normal bitch sees something fucking good in him. Maybe I fucking see how sweet and caring he is. We look after each other, we love each other, which is more than you can fucking say.” You argued, pinning your finger against her chest before you stepped away from her. “He isn’t a fuck up. You fucking failed him, Celia.”
Celia followed you out of the diner, letting the truth slip to Letty that Coco was her father as she got into her car, the pair getting into another heated argument as Letty ran off and you tried to go after her.
Chasing after her, you called for Letty as she climbed into some random guy’s truck, Coco now realising she had slipped away. “L-Leticia!” Coco ran towards you, only getting half way across the parking lot before the truck she had gotten into had pulled away. “Shit.” You breathed out, your heart racing as you tried to catch your breath from running after her.
Turning to Coco, you noticed his panic, wide eyes, chest rising and falling quickly as the shock set in. “We’ll find her, we’ll get her back.” You tried to reassure him, though you weren’t sure who you were trying to convince that it would all be okay. “She’ll come around, shit like that is heavy.” You rambled, Coco taking in a deep breath as he composed himself. “I know, we’ll get her back.” He nodded. “We got to, she fuckin’ needs someone.” Coco sighed. “She needs you, Coco.” Your voice quietened and Coco softened as he looked at you, realising you had an angry welt on your cheek from where Celia had struck you.
“She fuckin’ hit you.” Coco’s voice was heavy with a broken, tired tone. “It’s okay.” “No it’s not. What did she say, corazón?” He asked in a soft tone, his eyes sad as he reached up to gently smooth his thumb over your cheek. “I couldn’t stand the way she spoke about you.” You admitted, eyes welling up with tears as you processed how horrible Celia had been, the entire exchange finally catching up with you. “I defended you and-.” “She hit you.” He interrupted, unsure that he wanted to hear how exactly she had hurt you right now, because he was at a loss and part of him wanted to go after Celia and get her back for laying a hand on you and fucking things up with Leticia.
“I’m sorry, mi corazón.” Coco sighed, his voice small as he watched you try to blink your tears away, hanging his head low. “Maybe she’s fuckin’ right. I am a fuck up. I’m not worth gettin’ hurt over.” It came out as a whisper as he fumbled with his pack of cigarettes, pulling up one to his lips to light it. “No. You’re worth everything to me, Coco.” Your words stilling his movements, his eyes meeting yours for a moment and he let out a breath he hadn’t realised he had been holding onto, tears coming to his eyes as it all began to overwhelm him.
“You’re too good for me.” Coco whispered, reaching for you and pulling you against his chest. “You deserve some good, Coco and if I can be the one to give it to you, I will.” You watched as tears rolled down his cheeks and you reached up to gently wipe them away. “It’s okay, we’ll work this out, Coco.” You said, leaning up to kiss his cheek and he smiled sweetly at you through his tears. “We’ll work this out together, like we always do.”
Leaning down to capture you in a gentle kiss, Coco embraced you tightly, clinging onto you as much as he could. “As long as I’ve got you, mi corazón.”

Halloween with Angel.
Word count: 1,468
Characters: Angel Reyes x reader (Y/N), Gilly Lopez, Coco Cruz, Leticia Cruz.
Warnings: Cursing, Halloween (? Idk some people don’t like it 🤷‍♀️)
It was nearing Halloween, and whilst all your neighbours had started to decorate their homes and front lawns, yours was bare and depressing, due to no fault of your own. Your boyfriend Angel had made it clear that the decorations in the house you to shared were perfectly fine and served their purpose but Christ they were depressing.
The decorations were disgusting collecting dust and growing mould from being thrown randomly in the attic and you were struggling to tell the difference between the real and fake spiders. But Angel had yet to grant you the permission to buy new decorations. Not that you need explicit permission but you viewed you and Angel as a team so you made decisions like these together. Sadly.
You and Angel had lived together for years at this point so you got used to each other’s ways and quirks, so really Angel should’ve been prepared for your enthusiasm for the holiday.
“Knock, knock and I’m already in.” Said your brother whilst you were sat a the table eating breakfast. Angel had gone for shower a few minutes ago so the house was quiet apart from the quiet sound of the water running.
“Hey Y/B/N, you okay?” You rounded the corner of the island to see your brother with your niece wearing a cute little pumpkin onesie.
“And hello to you too precious girl!” You cooed to the young baby currently yanking on your hoop earrings. You tickled her tummy just to hear her giggles whilst your brother babbled on about work. Obviously hearing the adorable shriek of laughter from your niece, Angel entered the kitchen and snatched her from your arms to have his fill of the baby cuteness. Begrudgingly you turn to brother to now pay attention to his words.
“So I was wondering if you remember where it is that Mama always took us for Halloween so we could go to the ‘kid friendly’ haunted house.” He said making air quotations when saying kid friendly. He stole a piece of bacon whilst you took your mind back to time when you were younger.
“Yeah she just took us to the garden centre, god knows if they still do it, people always complained it was a bit scary.” you reminded him, whilst continuing your breakfast.
“So you wanna go, think it would be a bit of fun, take us back to our childhood and pass on the tradition to Mia.” Your bother spoke whilst removing Mia from Angel’s arms, she fussed a little but settled quickly.
“Yes! I can get new decorations for the house, they have the best decorations!” You bolted out of the chair heading to door before Angel spoke up. “ No! We don’t need decorations we have them here.”
“But Angel-“
“No babe I’m putting my foot down, please it’s a waste of money, just don’t. You’ll spend more time putting them up and taking them back down than them actually be img on display!”
“Ooh he’s putting his foot down.” Your brother mocked, provoking Angel to throw the tea towel at him.
“Fine I won’t bring home any new decorations.”
“Thank you, I love you baby.” Angel spoke kissing your forehead and leaving to speak with the guys about an incoming run.
You stuck to your word, and didn’t return with any decorations, that’s because you ordered them to arrive to your home a few days later. This was for multiple reasons, 1) you couldn’t fit them all in your car and Angel would flip his shit if he saw you carry what is seemingly the whole store and 2) You knew Angel was going on a run so you order it to come whilst he was out. It was perfect because by the time it all up and looking pretty it would be too late. What can you say, you always get your way.
The day arrived and you were buzzing, it was time to get your spooky season started. You woke up alone in bed which wasn’t strange, as Angel was due to be on a run. It wasn’t until you heard yelling and swearing in the living room did you discover that was not the case. Walking out you were greeted with site of your boyfriend and his 2 extra shadows Gilly, sat at the table eating your food, and Coco sat next to Angel playing PlayStation.
“What are you doing here?” You exclaimed from shock.
“Uhh I live here-“
“I’ve been paying the bills with you for the past 2 years.”
When you don’t respond to the comment and continue to stare at him confused.
He points to his chest stating, “I am Angel” condescendingly thinking it’s funny.
“You’re supposed to be on a run.”
“It was only a small run,we weren’t needed.” He said shrugging like it was nothing when I’m reality it was huge.
“Damn Y/N you ain’t happy to see us?” Coco asks standing to hug you, you accept the embrace with a smile but on the inside you are screaming, why did he have to be here when you don’t need him to be but gone when you did need him?
A few hours into the day and they were still here and your delivery when due to arrive imminently.
“Don’t you want to go to the clubhouse I mean it’s more fun there, I mean you spend every waking second of your days there anyway why not go there now.” You exclaimed getting antsy.
“Nah we’re good.” Coco replied, you roll your eyes and spin on your heel to go to the kitchen and watch for your delivery of doom to pull up. “Why you trynna to get rid of us sweetheart?” Gilly asked jokingly, startling you in the process. “The other day I went to the store with my brother and bought way to many Halloween decorations when he specifically told me to not to and I thought by having them delivered whilst he was on his run, it’d be too late for him to do anything about it but now I know he isn’t on a run that planned it fucked.” You confessed. “Well damn baby you in shit now.” “Gilly” you whined palming his chest softly.
“Okay stop I’ll get him out and tell Coco to call Leti to come and help you put them up. Don’t stressed your pretty head!” He said tapping your temple.
“Thank you Gilly you are a lifesaver!”
“I know baby, it’s a gift.” He joked shrugging his shoulders like it was nothing.
Gilly stuck to his word and got them out the house, just before the delivery turned up. Coco had indeed called Leti to help you but you guys spent more time gossiping than actually hanging anything.
“ I think you may have gone a little too far with this.” She said holding a 7ft robotic witch on your porch swing as you cable tied it’s ankles to the structure of your porch, so the kids didn’t steal it.
“Oh shush you’re as bad as Angel, it looks great so don’t complain, it was worth all the time it spent to put it up and the ...$300 it actually cost.” You muttered the last bit hoping she didn’t pick it up.
“ Y/N, holy sh-“ she was cut off by the roar of bikes coming down the street, announcing the arrival of your man and his brothers.
You braced yourself for the backlash but when you turned around to man your man he had nothing but a smile on his face, Coco and Gilly hung back on the bikes whilst Angel took in the scene.
“Baby-“ you started.
“I like it.”
“What?”
“I knew you couldn’t resist the decorations at the store and when you came back home empty handed I was shocked, then earlier when you wanted us out I knew you had this arriving.” He exclaimed gesturing the house covered in fake cobwebs and pumpkins, and obviously the freaky witch on the porch. You breathed a sigh of relief and looked up at him with total adoration.
“ I love you Angel, thank you for understanding but your lazy ass coulda helped if you knew.” You complained cuddling into his side. He chuckled lowly. The moment was ruined by a scream and then followed by a gunshot. You ducked into Angel from the fear.
“You scary motherfucker, jump at me and imma shoot yo’ ass! Do it again hoe and see what happens.” Coco shouted with gun pointed at the witch.
“What the fuck Coco it’s not real.” You pointed to the now ruined witch.
Coco stepped forward gingerly, gun still cocked, inspecting the witch, confirming with a slight nod of the head that it was in fact a robot.
“My bad” He shrugged.

My Girl: (Letty Cruz x F!Reader)
Description: You weren’t a Mayan but that didn’t make you any less terrifying when you were mad - especially when it had something to do with your girlfriend. You loved Letty to hell and back and weren’t afraid of knocking a few biker heads together to make it clear that to mess with her was to mess with you too. (Set season 3)
Tumblr media
A/N: Y’all should have known as soon as I realised season 3 of Mayans was now available in the UK that my heart was gonna be consumed all over again. Besides, it’s never too late for a pride prompt.
Warnings: Swearing, alcohol, mentions of drugs, my attempts at Spanish, violence. (Let me know if I missed any)

“Y/N. Stop. You don’t have to do this.”
“Letty, just stay outside. I’ll be quick.”
“No, wait,” she pleaded, her hand grasping onto your arm as you tried to march past her and into the Mayan clubhouse in front of you.
Her grip was weak and you could’ve broken free if you’d wanted, but you knew Letty well enough to hear her out. The last thing you wanted was to upset the girl who had basically stolen your heart. She’d had a long enough day at the clubhouse and all you wanted to do was drive her back to your place and forget about everything else, which was the normal plan when you picked her up like this. However, given what she’d told you lately, seeing her upset when you’d arrived had all but tipped you over the edge.
Apparently Coco had bitten her head off when she’d asked if he was coming home or not that night. You hated how upset she’d sounded over the phone when she’d called you to vent and ask you to come pick her up so she didn’t have to wait or go home with him instead.
So, yeah, your temper had got the better of you. You were only human and you’d do anything for the girl you loved. Even if it meant marching in to a den of bikers and ripping her dad a new one.
“I… I really appreciate you wanting to do this, Y/N but I don’t want you to get caught in the middle of this shit, ok? Coco and I need to talk but you don’t need to get dragged in to this. It’s my problem, not yours.”
“Your shit is my shit, Letty. You’re my girlfriend. Come on. That’s how this works,” you replied sharply, your temper clear in the trembling of your hands. “So it’s ok he keeps stealing your shit? I’m supposed to let that slide and let him keep making you upset? He keeps taking his mood swings out on you because he got himself hooked on drugs and I… I love him too, Letty. He’s been real kind to me since he found out about us but… I can’t just let him keep doing this to you.”
Letty’s face fell and she released your arm. Either your words had got through to her or she decided it wasn’t worth the effort. If you wanted to do something then usually nothing could stand in your way. “I just… don’t hit his face, please? He just got over the surgery shit with his eyes and stuff.”
You would have laughed but knew better, as Letty all but gave you her blessing. Now it was time to have a word with her so called father and the missing iPods and iPads your girlfriend had told you about.
You nodded. “Ok, I’ll make sure not to hit his eye.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
Letty was quick to place a kiss to your cheek as you took her hand and headed inside. To your relief, Coco was sat right in front of you at the bar. You didn’t have to look hard to find him as it was also pretty quiet for a weekday afternoon. Maybe that was why everyone inside looked up at you as you opened your mouth and yelled his name.
“We need to talk. Now. Outside.”
“Letty? Y/N? What the fuck you doing here?” He seemed oddly calm as he glanced up over the top of his beer. Maybe he was high or maybe he was just stupid enough to think you wouldn’t actually try anything in the middle of the Mayan clubhouse… either way, it was his mistake. A mistake he quickly became aware of as you let go of Letty’s hand and marched towards him.
A soft ‘ooooo’ echoed from the others dotted about the room, laughing as they watched Coco shrink back from a rather short pissed off looking girl. You swore you even heard Angel muttering something about getting ready to dig a grave for you to dump his body in when you were finished with him.
He’d be lucky if there was anything left to bury.
“I said outside Coco! Or I can just do this in here, in front of all your little friends. It’s your choice. Either way I’m good.”
“Now wait a fucking second, I don’t owe you nothing so quit trying to be some big shot-”
Coco didn’t get to finish his sentence.
In fact, he was cut off by you smacking the beer bottle out of his hand, sending it to the floor where it suddenly shattered in a spray of beer and glass pieces.
“The hell?!”
“You getting hooked on drugs is your problem, Coco. Yours. Not your daughter’s, so stop taking shit from her to buy whatever the hell you’re craving every night and stop taking your temper out on her,” you hissed, uncaring how he towered over you as he suddenly jumped to his feet.
You weren’t scared of him. Not when he looked as terrible as he did, pale skinned and clammy. It looked as if one strong push would send him crashing on to his ass which, whilst satisfying, wasn’t what you came here for. You didn’t want to upset Letty anymore than she already was. You were here to make a point and get the hell out.
“Else I’ll be back and next time, I’ll beat the shit out of your junkie ass. Comprendé?”
Coco was silent.
The entire room was silent.
In fact, from the shocked faces around the room, you were pretty sure you could have heard a pin drop. However, you stood your ground, waiting until Coco gave you a weak nod to say that he understood you loud and clear.
You took that as your cue to turn around and link your arm with Letty’s, pressing another kiss to her cheek as she lead you back outside, muttering something about your protective rage looking rather sexy on you.
“Who knew you could be so hot when you’re angry? Remind me not to piss you off again any time soon.”
“Oh stop it.”
“My hero,” she teased, making you roll your eyes in embarrassment. “I honestly think he just shat himself. Ez looked like he was ready to whoop him too.”
“Well, he deserved it.”
“And I don’t deserve you.”
She took the words right out of your mouth as you turned, silencing her with a proper kiss - one that would make it perfectly clear you didn’t believe that for a second. One that would also make it clear to anyone watching from inside the clubhouse that you were head over heels for the girls in your arms and to hurt her was akin to declaring war.
It didn’t take a kutte or a pair of fancy wheels to make you tough.
Letty was the best thing in your life and you were gonna keep on reminding her for as long as she’d let you. This wasn’t the first time you’d stood up for her and you knew it wouldn’t be the last.
“Can we go home now, babe?”
“Sounds perfect to me.”

The living room was becoming (Y/N)'s personal race track as she continuously walked around the coffee table in the centre. Her eyes would dart between the landline and her phone. She tried to calm herself down, but the 'what ifs' going off in her mind wouldn't allow her to do so. The familiar rumble of Cocos truck stopped her pacing as she jumped onto the couch. Pulling the edge of the curtain up, she was momentarily blinded by the headlights flashing at her.
Once she spotted the teenager in the passenger side, she let out a sigh of relief. (Y/N) readjusted her body on the couch and waited for the pair to walk inside. She braced herself for the argument.
The front door and screen door opened up with Coco leaning against them, "what the fuck were you thinking, Leticia?"
"You're overreacting," she replied and headed straight for the kitchen.
"You were at a college party!" Coco yelled as he slammed both doors, "how the fuck did you even get there?"
She opened up a cabinet and grabbed a muesli bar, "I… just got there," shrugging her shoulders she tore the bar open, "nothing was gonna happen."
Coco walked over and stood at the entrance of the kitchen, "carajo! The only reason nothing fucking happened was because I showed up!"
Letty turned her attention to (Y/N), "anything you'd like to add?" When she wasn't given a response, she scoffed, "as if I give a fuck what you think."
She brushed past Coco and walked down the hallway. The slamming of a door let the adults know she was in her bedroom. (Y/N) took a deep breath as she got to her feet and stood in front of her man.
"Don't do it."
He arched his eyebrow, "you think I'm gonna let her disrespect you like that?" he shook his head and pecked her forehead, "ain't fucking happening."
Letty had moved in with the pair about two months ago and during that time she took full advantage of being away from the clutches of her grandmother. With her newfound freedom she had been disappearing (or "exploring" as she called it) different parts of Santo Padre whenever she felt like it. Sometimes she'd go off on her own and other times she'd take Gabby.
Unfortunately, this particular night was different. Gabby was out on a date with her boyfriend Ez (the newest patch member of the Mayans) which meant she didn't join Letty on her excursion. Thankfully she was able to provide the details of where to find her when (Y/N) called her in a panic about the teenager not being home. Once she received the details, she thanked her and immediately rang up Coco to inform him of his daughter's whereabouts.
Before he could make his way to the hallway Coco's burner buzzed. (Y/N) didn't need to read the message to know that he was most likely being told about some club business. Despite it nearing the early hours of the morning, she knew that sometimes Bishop would call an impromptu meeting.
"At least you're already awake?" (Y/N) offered as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, her hands played with his hair.
"I guess," his eyes darted towards the hallway and back at her, "if she ends up running off while I'm at the clubhouse–"
"I'll call you."
He kissed her and savoured the moment before pulling away from her. Walking over to the front door, he glanced back at her and blew a kiss. (Y/N) chuckled, grabbing it and holding it to her chest, completing their goodbye routine.
She turned around as he shut both doors and locked them. The moment she heard his bike start up she decided it was time to get to bed. She was due to go back to work in a few hours and wanted to sleep before having to do so.
-- ♡ -- ◇ --
After Letty's eventful Friday night, Johnny decided he was done giving her chances. Her phone was taken away and the only times she could leave the house was for school and if Chucky needed an extra set of hands. At first the teenager continued to rebel until she realised another day would be added to her punishment. (Y/N) was proud of the way her man was stepping into the role of a parent. Letty was working into her third week of punishment (she had another week left) and (Y/N) could see the change in her.
Whenever (Y/N) entered the house, she was greeted with a 'hello'. It may seem little, but Letty acknowledging her presence (in a positive manner) definitely kept a smile on her face. Letty was helping around the house more and started joining Coco and (Y/N) for dinner instead of eating in her room. Coco was also seeing changes in his daughter and hoped she would continue to make positive changes. He had left for a run a couple of days ago and would hopefully return soon.
The sound of drawers opening and closing was the reason (Y/N) woke up. Her eyebrows furrowed at realising she wasn't in her bed and then remembered she had fallen asleep while watching (television show). Looking to her left, she noticed the outline of the teen moving about. She smiled when she felt the softness of a blanket, realising Letty must've thrown it over her. Slowly getting to her feet, she stretched and reached for her phone. The numbers 04:22 blared on her screen.
(Y/N) got up and switched on the light, causing the teenager to jump, "are you looking for the chocolate chip cookies I baked?" Just like her dad, Letty had a sweet tooth. (Y/N) chuckled and pointed towards the top cabinet on her right, "it's in the tin at the back."
Letty waited for (Y/N) to walk out of the kitchen, but instead the woman opened up the fridge and pulled out the carton of milk. She watched as she grabbed two glasses and poured the milk inside. The teenager grabbed the chair and climbed on top of it to reach the cabinet. She opened it up and pushed some items out of the way to grab the tin. Closing the cabinet, she stepped off the chair and dragged it back to the table.
(Y/N) was already sitting at the table and pushed a glass of milk across it for her. Letty took a seat and opened up the container and pushed it between them. She waited for (Y/N) to help herself to a cookie, before grabbing one of her own.
"I'm sorry for waking you up," the teenager gave a sheepish grin, "I was trying my hardest not to be loud."
(Y/N) smiled, "it's alright," she bit into her slightly soaked cookie, "now you know where to go… but, you've gotta make sure to put it back in the same cabinet you brought the container out of."
"Why?"
"Because then your dad'll know where all the extra cookies are."
Letty laughed, "you hide the extra cookies because of my dad?"
"Yes and that cabinet," (Y/N) pointed to it, "is the only one where I can cover the container without anything looking out of place." She dunked her cookie into her glass, "remember that for next time, okay?"
"Okay."
The pair continued to munch on their cookies (with the occasional dunking) and sip their milk. (Y/N) enjoyed the comfortable silence that fell among them. Her eyes drifted towards the living room and remembered the blanket.
"Thank you."
"For what?" Letty asked.
"Covering me with the blanket."
"Oh… I… uh, didn't want you to get cold."
(Y/N) smiled and was about to talk about something else when she heard the rumbling of Coco's motorcycle. Her eyes widened and she scrambled to drink what was left of her milk, closed the container and passed it to Letty.
"Quick before he comes."
Letty picked up the tin and dragged the chair to where it was moments ago. She jumped up onto it and pushed the container towards the back of the cabinet. Making sure it stayed hidden behind the assortment of items inside of it. She jumped off the chair and pushed it underneath the table just as Coco entered the living. His eyebrows rose when he took in his Old Lady and daughter standing in the kitchen.
"What's going on here?" He asked as he walked towards the duo.
(Y/N) chuckled and brought him into a hug, she kissed him on the lips and cheek before stepping back, "just chatting, everyone okay?"
He nodded, "we all made it back. Don't worry," his attention switched to Letty, "mija, everything okay?"
Letty nodded, "yeah…"
Coco slowly approached her and kissed the top of her head, "that's good to hear."
Before he could move back, the teenager wrapped her arms around him and squeezed. (Y/N) smiled as she watched Coco gently rub her back and kiss her forehead. She loved seeing the father-daughter pair show affection to each other. Letty released her hold and took a step back.
With a blink of an eye, Letty pulled (Y/N) into a hug. (Y/N)'s eyes grew wide at the contact (so did Cocos) and before she could return the gesture, the teenager had let go. Letty smiled at the pair and then turned on her heel to leave the room. (Y/N) watched the teenager disappear around the corner, before she glanced at Coco with a bright smile. She did a little shimmy moving towards him and held onto his arms as she jumped up and down.
"Coco… she – did you see that? She hugged me! And she smiled! Oh, she's got a beautiful smile," (Y/N) stopped jumping, "wow… I-I can't believe it. I got a hug and a smile, Coco!"
He laughed as she danced around him, reaching out he pulled her into his chest and wrapped his arms around her. (Y/N) squealed when his fingers trailed up and down her hip. She wrapped her arms around his neck and tilted her head up. Her eyes sparkled with joy.
Unbeknownst to the pair, Letty had done a U-turn at the end of the hallway. She decided at the last second to ask (Y/N) about something. However, at the sound of excitement she paused and peered around the doorframe. A smile stretched across her face, when she spotted Coco and (Y/N) embracing. She looked away when Coco reached down to grab (Y/N) by the ass and slip his tongue into her mouth.
"Gross," she shook her head and made her way back down the hallway, "I didn't need to fucking see that."
Despite the recent image in her mind that she was trying her best to get rid of, the teenager couldn't help but feel as though she finally belonged.
This was home.

“Hello!”
Opening the main door of Coco's house, you come in carrying some cardboard bags with different junk food to spend the night with your boyfriend, while Leti hangs out with her new friend Gabriela. You can hear the girl cursing in spanish and growling like an angry dog from the bathroom. Frowning confused while you cross the kitchen, to leave the groceries on the counter, you walk towards her. She's fighting with the straightener, trying to do something with her messy hair. Turning at you pouting, she offers it to you to help her. Shaking your head, you disconnected under her look.
“Com'ere”. You just say, making a gesture with your left hand to make her follow you.
Once in the living room, you point a chair to indicate Leti to have a seat. Obeying in silence, you place yourself behind her. She has pretty hair, and using all this heat on it, it's going to destroy it. Without any words and so focused on your new task, you begin to braid the long dark tufts from the roots but not too tight, tying it with a hair tie you have in your wrist at the middle of the mane to leave the rest loose and dancing on her back. Now, she looks like a warrior, expressing with this hairstyle how strong she is, even if she doesn't believe it.
“Ready”. Palming her shoulders, the girl runs to the bathroom to check it in the mirror.
“It's perfect!” She screams out, getting out to the living room to hug you. “Thank you, (Y/N). It looks amazing”.
“You're welcome, baby”. Smirking at her, you leave a kiss on her head. “So, what's the plan?”
“Gabri and I are gonna meet some friends to have dinner and watch a movie at the cine'”.
“Cool! Sounds good. Do you have money?”
“Yeah, yeah, don' worry 'bout that”.
“Okay, just in case”. You say then, grabbing twenty bucks from your pocket to give them to her. “Have some extra popcorn”.
“But you don—”.
“Nah, enjoy your night”.
“You too”. Leti replies, leaning to kiss your cheek.
“Yo! Mami, you look good!”
Coco is back sooner than you thought, closing the door behind his back really surprised.
“(Y/N) did it”. The girl says very proud taking his bag and a jacket, before hugging his father. “I'm late, bye!”
Leti leaves the house quickly, while you clap on air before pointing to the kitchen. Leading your steps to the counter, to take off everything you have bought, enumerating it to your boyfriend, he rests his shoulder against the fridge. Actually, Coco it's not paying attention to what you're telling him, more focused on thinking about the moments that Leti and you share, taking care of her with the most minimal detail. Even if it looks foolish. You always do it without asking anything back. Turning at him, you purse your lips, narrowing your eyes too.
“What?” You ask about laughing.
The mexican just shakes his head in silence, taking two steps to place his hands on both sides of your neck to kiss you. His lips moving slowly and gently, dancing with yours while you tangle your fingers in the grey shirt under the kutte. You weren't expecting it, but he always catches you unprepared with such lovely gestures.
“I love you, mami. I truly do”. He mutters, pulling himself away for some inches.
It's the first time you hear him say it, after two months together in his bad and in his good. Smiling like an idiot, you stare at him for some seconds.
“I love you too, Coquito”. He kisses you again, before surrounding your body with his arms to hug you tight. “Are you ready for another movie-date night, ah?”
“I'm ready for everything with you”.

Untold Secret
Show: Mayans M.C.
Pairing: Angel Reyes x Fem!Reader
Warnings: pregnancy mention
Genre: fluff, angst
“Angel, are you home? I need some help with these groceries.”
You just got back from the store – hands full of plastic bags – expecting to be greeted by your boyfriend with helpful hands and a kiss upon your cheek. You were instead met with a towering figure and judging eyes.
“Were you ever going to tell me?” Angel questioned, holding up a pregnancy test; two lines glaring back at you accusingly.
“W-where did you–”
“I found it while I was cleaning up the room, since ya know, you've been on my ass about being messy.”
You were taken aback; your tiny little secret was brought out of hiding. This can't be happening.
“You know, at first I thought this can't possibly be real, right? 'Cause I know there's those fake tests to prank people and shit, but then I've been thinking about how you've been so secretive lately. It started to make sense.”
You chuckled nervously, tucking a lock of hair behind your ear, “No, I haven't.”
“Mi amor, I'm not stupid. Remember that day I held your hair as you puked into the towel bowl and I asked if you were alright?”
You remained silent at his excellent piece of memory, afraid of what might slip out if you so much as opened your mouth.
“You said it's just a stomach bug, it'll pass, and I gave you the benefit of the doubt because I didn't want to push you.”
Your lips began to tremble, but you didn't want him to see you fall apart. To let him know that he was right. You just didn't want to face reality. Do not do this. Just hold it in.
He continued on, as if you weren't one step away from crumbling, “And then you kept getting these awful headaches and you were always exhausted.”
You barely raised your voice above a whisper, “It doesn't mean shit”
“Baby, I just want you to be honest with me,” his eyes softening upon seeing tears well up in your eyes.
“I figured you didn't want kids, Angel! You had a lot going on: with the MC, Los Olvidados, Galindo. I thought having a baby was going to complicate things and you know it will.” You finally broke down at the last sentence; the pent up frustration you carried for so long bursting like a broken dam.
Angel reached out to you and enveloped you into his inviting, solid arms.
He rested his chin atop your head and caressed your hair as you melted into his touch; burying your face into his chest like you were trying to escape this moment. “Shh, no llores.”
Sniffling, you raised your head to peer into his coffee colored eyes, warm with concern and adoration for you.
“We'll figure this out, hermosa. It doesn't have to be right now or tomorrow. All I want is for you to be happy and safe, okay?”
Using his thumbs to wipe your tears away, he gave you a reassuring smile and a gentle kiss on your forehead. Letting out a shaky breath, you nodded in response to his statement and decided from now on to let people in with your worries, especially if it was a life changing decision that involved someone important to you.
“Believe it or not, but I'm not opposed to becoming a father,” he added with a soft smile. You let loose a giggle and it felt like an enormous weight has been lifted off of your chest.
“Good, because you're helping out with a name for our future kid,” you remarked, with a pointed finger to his abdomen. “Or kids,” he replied, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Oh, dear gods, no. We can't have two mini you's running around the house. One is enough,” you cringe in mock horror. He offered you a wolfish grin and wiggled his eyebrows in a comical way.
This man will be the death of me.
After that was all settled and done, you both took care of those forgotten groceries, because how else were you going to feed yourself and your unborn child? Or children, as Angel liked to believe.
