Engage dialogue makes me sad honestly also now because of certain Changes that I don’t like. Engage Ike and FEH Ike is “I am shonen protagonist who cares for his friends but loves to fight.” YKB just in Engage to be cutesy and no one mentions that she started a war. I know Engage is fanservice but I wish the fanservice wasn’t FEH remix. Billy is surprisingly cute at least, it made straight men angry when he says things like “hello I am Billy I like flowers and fishing and tea time.” But then it made me sad because Billy can get murdered in Hopes and no one seems to care about the Church anymore even though this Billy seems perfect for Lizard Family Time
Veronica just made me extremely angry! She’s just a gimmick! Her attack is just a dumb, stupid, easter egg mechanic “heehee we included FEH summoning!” Maybe I should be grateful Engage is silly fanservice instead of No Hopes pretentious with dumber fans, but I would have wanted a silly game that isn’t winking at us to spend money in FEH, look it has characters from past games ;;;;)))

I'm not the biggest Veronica fan, far from it actually so...
I was always not going to give a fig about her, especially since her base game doesn't either (where is Book 1 Vero?) and gave her a kind of proto-Supreme Leader, without all the things that made Supreme Leader, or should have made Supreme Leader, interesting.

I think that was to be expected in a legacy/celebration game, especially since Heroes already flanderised past characters, you can't dwelve that much about Siggy's character arc or uwu about Ike being such a chad when the character dgaf about Tellius post FE10 and ditches his family to live a new "big adventure" with his boyfriend(s).
Billy being cute with his flowers and habit of picking stuff, singing (and dancing!) and eating a lot was already aluded in Nopes, which also reinforced the Jerry isn't the bestest parent ever in that game, but it was eluded because Nopes's "plot" commended us not to care, else some messages would be blurred and Nopes made it clear the game doesn't care about nabateans or nabatean related characters. But I still find a guilty pleasure each time a new Billy alt in FEH is released or with his Engage supports, because it shits on the commonly accepted fandom characterisation of Billy as a caveman who is an ardent follower of r/atheism and prefers to let the world burn because he wants to swing a sword and doesn't want responsabilities.
As for Supreme Leader, well, I still remind firmly convinced her FB's as F!Supreme Leader and B!Supreme Leader were happy flukes, the FeH writers trying to tackle themes/plots FE16 didn't dare to because uwu factor, but now? Supreme Leader is just a bland moeblob used to sell - as if her sailor fuku wasn't a warning sight.
I actually feel bad for what her character was supposed to be, she was just flanderised to be "the chick" in the trio who thirsts after the player character, when she could/should have been much more but... I mostly don't really care tbh.

Welcome one, welcome all to my new blog!
Thus one us going to be very interesting for myself, because this will be my first plot driven ask blog, rather than just roleplay... (but, if you want to, we can try it too!)
In basic, it's an infection AU of my own creation, that is based on agere dynamics.
For warnings here are : Infection AU (obviously), Forced regression, maybe slight body horror (but nothing too bad), unhealthy behaviors... and some agere/childish treatments/behaviors that not everyone might be comfortable with (diapers, babying, so on). If there'll be any triggers, I didn't mention, let me know! :)
This entire AU is inspired by ones of my friends, Lunar and Nightshade, with Ageretale and Flowerfell flower disease, respectively. And, as U said, this is an infection AU with Undertale Multiverse, also known as UTMV. Main characters will be Sanses, but feel free to ask them about their respective AU's!

why you should play honkai: star rail in 2024
Question and answer style, because it's what I like to do. It's long, y'all, and probably doesn't cover everything, but I've been typing and adding for like three hours so I'm yeeting it into the Tumblrverse now.
What is Honkai: Star Rail?
Honkai: Star Rail (from here either Star Rail or HSR) is an anime-style space fantasy RPG with turn-based combat and gacha mechanics for obtaining characters. It is the most recent (full) release from Hoyoverse (formerly Mihoyo), a Chinese video game company who is also responsible for Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Tears of Themis, as well as a bunch of older games.
What platforms can I play it on?
PC and mobile are free, PS5 costs $10 to download for what I assume are Sony reasons. I most enjoy it on PC or PS5, but the mobile version is very easy to run, and a good choice for using up your daily stamina and doing the character leveling grind in a casual way.
What's the story about?
A character (known to most in-game as the Trailblazer, see both gendered versions below) wakes up on a space station with no memories and a mysterious destructive energy contained inside of them. They are taken in by a group of interstellar travelers known as the Nameless, who travel the universe in a space ship shaped like a giant old-school train, and visit various civilizations to observe, help, and learn about the strange energy trapped inside of them.
More below, including information about the gameplay, characters, and the important caveat about why particular people may not want to play the game.
What's the gameplay like?
The combat is turn-based, using a four-character party. The game gives you a good number of characters for free just by playing the game, which is more than good to get you through the story elements of the game. There is exploration as well, though it is instanced and far more limited than you might be used to if you play Hoyo's 2 ton gorilla, Genshin Impact. I personally like that it's more limited, though - I've gotten really overwhelmed by Genshin lately, and I like that HSR lets me finish things without feeling like I'll never be done.

How's the writing?
Snappy and modern - a good combination of sincere and humorous, with a lot of pop culture and meme references all over the place. The English localization is top notch, in my opinion, but it's obviously written in Chinese, and you can choose to play in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean as well.
What about voice acting?
The main story is fully voice acted, by some top-notch talent overall. There's a good bit of crossover between Genshin and HSR casts, for what are probably obvious reasons. The side quests are mostly text only, with a few exceptions.
The Trailblazer - your player character - is also voiced to a smaller extent. The dialogue you choose during quests isn't voiced, but you'll hear your character say some random things while you run around and explore.
What kinds of storylines are there thus far?
There are ... three and a half? areas so far in the game. If it follows Genshin's formula, they'll add another new world/area annually.
Herta Space Station - the tutorial area, mostly, but there's also some ongoing story there about scientists of dubious ethics. It's also the area we go back to when they want to make a point about the larger universe, usually.
Belobog/Jarilo VI - Space Siberia. A planet that was previously cut off from the galaxy 600 years ago, covered in ice and snow due to ... science magic plot bullshit. Steampunky in technology, Russian in a lot of naming conventions, stories that revolve around people learning how to live together and rebuild their society.
The Xianzhou Luofu - Space China. One of several world-ships of the Xianzhou, who lost their original home planet to ... lore bullshit, it's complicated. Very technologically advanced, home to a race of humans that have been cursed with immortality, along with a race of fox people and a race of dragon-people. Stories revolve around the ethics of immortality, overpopulation, and the consequences of war.
Penacony - Space ... Disney World? IDK, it's very weird so far. Centuries ago, it was a corporate prison world, but has since been taken over by a religious organization and turned into the most exclusive resort in the universe. But the resort part is entirely contained in dreams. So it's less of a planet and more of a hotel where you lay in dream water and experience a theme park in your mind. Story themes are still developing, but they're real fucked up, y'all.
So what is the Hoyoverse anyway, other than the company?
Hoyo is very clear that all their games take place in the same multiverse. There are characters who appear in nearly every game they make, in different forms, sometimes with the same names, sometimes with different names. (See: Raiden Mei and Raiden Ei from HI3 and Genshin respectively, or Bronya Zaichek and Bronya Rand from HI3 and HSR.) Knowing about the other games may give you some interesting character things to chew on, but have no doubt - you do not need to play any of the other games in order to enjoy one particular one.
HSR is uniquely tied to Honkai Impact 3rd by virtue of the fact that at least one character is the actual exact same person in both games. (There will probably be at least two later, but ... don't mind that right now. Unless you want to go down the HI3 YouTube lore rabbit hole like I have. In which case hit me up.) Welt Yang, the Astral Express's Team Dad, crossed universes after getting his start in HI3. His past is SUPER interesting, but again, not necessary for your HSR enjoyment. For my folks with more Western fandom backgrounds, think of him this way - what if, instead of the bullshit at the end of Endgame, Steve Rogers realized there was another version of [insert your favorite character Steve loves here, romantic or platonic, I'm not getting involved in that drama here] that he could help, and he found a way to jump universes to do so. That's Welt's vibe, more or less. He's amazing. I love him.
Anyway. There's a lot to the Hoyo multiverse, a lot of philosophical stuff that revolves around order and chaos and how the universe balances it, mixed with some Mass Effect Reaper-style bullshit, but if it ever becomes relevant in HSR, be sure they'll explain everything we need in full. The story of HSR stands on its own.
... but if the idea of multiple versions of the same person and different universes gives you a headache, well, this is your warning, I guess?

What other fannish-type media would you compare it to?
There are a couple of easy ones. Genshin Impact fans will find things very familiar here, for a wide variety of reasons - more on the larger Hoyoverse below. For those with more western media experience, it's got the swashbuckling adventure of Star Wars combined with Star Trek's "explore strange new worlds" ethos. I'm sure there are a bunch of animes and Chinese/Japanese video games it can be compared to, but I haven't been in that audience particularly, so I can't name any for you myself. I can say that some of it tickles the same parts of my brain as FFXIV - they're VERY DIFFERENT games, don't get me wrong, but there's a similar tone in the "wink wink" punny pop culture English localization sometimes that makes me happy.
Okay, you know everyone here is from fandom, right? You know what we really want to know.
This question is inspired by my nostalgia for the old crack_van community on LJ - I miss the "here's a brief overview of the actual canon and here's what you can find in terms of pairings/fic/etc" format. So, if you want to know if it's worth it to get into this game for fandom reasons, here's a bit of what you can expect.
Popular pairings, according to AO3, and a brief description:
The juggernaut, if the fandom has one: Blade/Dan Heng, which has multiple permutations due to immortality and rebirth and such. This one's for you if you like a lovers-to-enemies vibe, or like creating happy endings where there are none and never will be in canon. Two very attractive men who were once lovers (pretty much canonically, as much as a mainstream Chinese video game will probably get, thanks to some word choices made in the in-game descriptions), made a huge society-shaking Very Big Mistake, and ended up each paying the price in different ways. Several hundred years later, one is regrettably immortal and certifiably insane about it, one has been reborn into a mostly different person and wants nothing to do with his past self, and they just keep running into each other on what seems to be a fated collision course.
(Dan Heng and Blade fighting, as they do. A lot.)
An alternative to above: If you like the immortal attractive dudes vibe but aren't as much into the forever enemies vibe, there's a good amount of fic pairing both of them with Jing Yuan, who is a former friend who got left cleaning up their mess after their Very Big Mistake and now has been the leader of their society for hundreds of years and both misses them a lot and also does NOT want to deal with their mess again. But he'll happily manipulate them into coming home when he needs them.
Oh look, we have women too! And people pair them! Seriously, there are two different f/f ships in the top 10 on AO3, which is refreshing! One is Bronya and Seele, who are the wholesome choice, the sweet stoic leader of her people and the blunt fighter who loves her. The first full story arc of the game is really their story, and it's a lovely less fraught enemies-to-lovers vibe.
If you want your yuri a bit more toxic, or at least less wholesome and not at all canonical, perhaps Himeko and Kafka will be your thing? Himeko is the elegant engineer/navigator for the Astral Express, your Trailblazer's team mom, smart and classy and a gorgeous redhead, what's not to love? Meanwhile Kafka is the sociopathic leader of the Stellaron Hunters, a group of dubious morality who exist to manipulate things in order to bring about a supposedly pre-written future. They only have like one scene where they actually talk to each other, but hey, that's more than enough, right?
(Kafka and Himeko, in their one scene together. Fandom has worked with far less.)
The ridiculous boys: Gepard/Sampo is still going strong, bless. If you don't want any of the drama of the boys mentioned above, just some attractive dudes doing ridiculous things, or if you like "cop and criminal" type pairings, here are your guys. Gepard is the leader of the local guard, Sampo is an underground criminal with his fingers in almost every pie. Cue shenanigans. Sampo is also a member of a very mysterious organization of galactic tricksters and clearly has larger lore relevance somewhere, but hey, you don't have to deal with any of that. Just let him and Gepard do their Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd thing and all is good.
(The stuffy military dude and the Loki-ass motherfucker. What could go wrong?)
OCs are always love: There's always plenty of Trailblazer fic out there. Male Trailblazer (Caelus)/Dan Heng seems to be the most popular, but you can find Caelus or Stelle paired with pretty much anyone out there.
There's also PLENTY of characters and pairings that are under-utilized, and deserve an influx of new energy. As usual, of course.
So, you said there's a reason I shouldn't play it?
Yeah. As mentioned before, it is a gacha game. It's a very forgiving gacha game, to be sure, and it's entirely possible to play as a free-to-play player, you do not have to spend a single cent on this game. However, gacha games are inherently problematic in many ways. So my caveat is this - if you have financial impulse control problems, gambling issues, or really sharp FOMO problems, I don't recommend you getting started playing this game. If you're good at being financially disciplined and not spending outside your entertainment budget, whatever that may be, you'll be fine. But if you have any doubts, then I suggest looking up someone on YouTube and watching a Let's Play instead.
Anyway. If anyone wants to add to this post, reasons why you love the game, fannish recs, whatever, go for it! I miss crack_van, y'all, and want it back on Tumblr terms. Maybe I can wish it into existence starting with this post. We will see.

A VERY generous gacha. I’m not kidding, the pity is every 30 pulls and you have a wishlist that you are guaranteed to pull a hero from if you even hit pity, also multi drops are very common, the current record is 8/10 being elite heroes
Unlike many other gachas, they’re not afraid to experiment with designs – you have pretty women, buff women, buff men, pretty guys, twinks, animals, anthro animals, cosmic horrors, a walking temple pillar, etc.
Not only are they varied in design, their personalities and backstories are all completely original as well!

1. The Dragon Rider And His Guardian
→ I know that there are a lot of people who ship Jack Frost from the "Rise Of The Guardians" and Hiccup Haddock from "How To Train Your Dragon", but then me and my aroace psyche decided that they'd look great as best friends who see each other as brothers. Plus, Jack Frost and Hiccup are two of my comfort characters! Another reason why I like this fic so much is that this is the longest fanfiction I have ever written — 22,449k words and still remained as my longest fic that I could call as my masterpiece. I made sure to focus on every character development, as well as Jack and Hiccup's development together as the main dynamic or pair, and I was satisfied (and still am) that I managed to go beyond and ended it the best way I knew.
2. Infinite Leveling in the Tombs
→ this is a multi/crossover fic between three manhwas: Pick Me Up (Infinite Gacha), Solo Leveling, and Tomb Raider King. Before, I used to imagine SL and TRK in one universe, but when I got into PMU(IG), that was when I knew I had to merge these three manhwas together. I saw a lot of similarities in Han, Jin-woo, and Joo-heon — I like the vibes they have with one another back when I was writing this one-shot. So, I dedicated days in writing this fic, more or less, it had somewhat become a self-indulgence. At first, I genuinely thought this will beat "The Dragon Rider and His Guardian" in its length, but I stand corrected and accepted that no other fic of mine can steal its place HAHA! Anyways, this fic had been a rollercoaster and seeing how the characters go well with one another like it's natural, it made me proud<3
3. Nurtured Flowers In The Fields Of Dolor
→ it started with a simple aesthetic and a small snippet, ended with a full fic. Even though it didn't follow the original myth, I focused the plot based on Jinhae's personalities. What I love about this fanfiction is that I get to witness how descriptive I can get with each paragraph and fit the dialogues into the atmosphere. From Jin-woo believing that he was only Death and "love" was never possessed by him, nor could he possess it, to him learning to love Hae-in as his wife and his Queen. I truly enjoyed writing when it came to death and life, the contrast between them and how they connect at the same time. Part of it felt like I had created my own lore too.
4. The Shadow Knight
→ the sole purpose of this fic is that I wanted to write fight scenes that's all 😂
5. Man. . . Or A Monster?
→ this is that one fic where it crushed me to the very bone. No other fic of mine had done that before until THIS ONE. I went all out and gave Jin-woo a bunch of traumas, even making him fall for Hae-in and learn how to love beyond the darkness within him — only to rip him away from her in a bittersweet way. Yes, Hae-in is his home, but what's a home if it is disastrous? Jin-woo left for the sake of everyone, especially for the sake of the person whom he loved the most, and for his own good too. I love that I made his character deep enough to make me feel strong emotions.

I’d definitely say Heroes has some pretty good ideas that are horribly underutilized because of everything you said. Still waiting on Loki exploiting the Multiverse “everything possible” from when she tried to coax Young Azura and her wanting an Alliance with Anankos to this day, and they haven’t forgotten about it as they referenced Lokis knowledge of Anankos in the Fallen Heroes Forging Bond event that had Lilith.
More power to you then anon !
Honestly, I've never been fan of any "united timeline theory" and the crossovers bore me, because the worlds and verses they're dealing with are too different that you can't blend them in a single story to make something coherent.

Granted, it's not like Fe Heroes tries to have characters react to the other characters from different verses, or even their own verses but characters they couldn't met in their base game, like Elimine and Sophia and Fa, Younger!Zephiel and Guinivere, Galzus and Shanan (the FB we had was a letdown!) or even Young!Arvis and Julius !

Name's Apple (@applepies-and-starlight), I'm the mun of this account, and these 2 girlies (ambiguous) are my OCs. This is baby's first tumblr RP account, so please be patient with me as I have no idea how Tumblr RP works. Both Mun and Muse(s) are 18+, and while there'll be no NSFW, there will be violence, so minors interact on your own risk.
I don't care what your rp style is, so do whatever makes you comfortable; my own RP style is inconsistent at best anyway, just respect my boundaries and I'll respect yours. Crossovers are more than welcome, though you may need to educate me on some fandoms, as I tend to draw assumptions from context clues first and do research second (I will ask you in DMs if I'm confused).
This blog doubles as both an RP account and an askblog; some of my other OCs may show up, but they'll most likely be ask-exclusive. Cordelle speaks in blue while Yue speaks in orange as to prevent confusion with who's saying what; Yue is a PjMoon-based OC, and Cordelle is Smash Bros-based. If any illustrations are needed, I'll likely be using Lunigacha (Gacha Life 2) (I am not good at drawing).

Thoughts on Future Collaborations
Collaborations are a fact of life for mobile gacha games, so I began wondering how P5X would handle them. My first thought was potential events for the releases of P5T and P3Re, but then I realized that P5X may not be out of development by then. So here’s my guesses at what may logically come in the future:
Other P5 spin-offs, past and future: If they’re planning any more it would make the most financial sense to use P5X for cross-promotion. This is also the place they’d most likely go for future party members, given that they’re already part of the brand. But on the other hand, maybe being part of the brand would mean that any spin-off thieves wouldn’t be reserved for events, they’d just be part of later versions the game?
Non-5 Persona games: The new SEES costumes in Reload would make great stand-ins for metaverse outfits. And if P5X is still around by the time Persona 6 comes out there will absolutely be a collaboration.
Going outside the Persona brand is where things start to get iffy.
Other ATLUS games: SMT would be the most likely option. Catherine and Metaphor might happen too, given their shared development teams with Persona.
Other Perfect World games: It’s easy to organize collaborations when you don’t have to negotiate with some other company’s lawyers…
Other gacha games: Persona 5 has had collaborations in the past, so it will probably continue to do so when the P5 gacha game launches.
But what form these collaborations would take is another question.
First off, I don’t expect them to add any party members that can’t remain in the pool. Party members in this game require enough resources in this game that creating a new unit that you stop making money off of after the event is over. And they might not want characters from outside the P5 brand in the game at all, depending on what the licensing agreement says.
But you know what could work for limited events? Stuff like weapons and skins, things that don’t require too many resources to create but still look cool enough that players will want them.
Sorry for sending you my rambling thoughts, but I have speculation on this game and no one to share it with except for your blog. Also, the reason I always send in submissions instead of asks is because they no longer allow people without accounts to send asks.
No worries, you’re good! That’s what this blog is for- I actually made it both because I wished there was a blog collecting official P5X news (and fanart), and also because I wanted to post theories somewhere and see what other people thought, hehe.
I think you’re right that P5X probably won’t release before P3R, let alone P5T; honestly, I’d be kind of shocked if it did. I can see P5′s various spinoff thieves getting added eventually though, especially given the little traces of Strikers in the P5X data already! Not sure whether events or just added story makes more sense for them- you bring up a good point with that, and I could see them going either way, I think. Honestly, I could even imagine them doing both an event and (possibly later) added story for any future P5 spinoffs that may happen?
I could see at least outfits/alternate skins and weapons based on the other Persona games showing up in P5X, I agree. I’m also kind of expecting there will be some form of those Velvet Room challenge battles involving the P3 and P4 protagonists from Royal here in P5X as well, given that Izanagi’s in the data as both a battle icon and a 3D model... along with Asterius, so Shadow Labrys may be joining that...? Though I suppose they could just be added as extra Personas in the gacha, similar to how they’re DLC in P5R.
Adding in the actual teams from other Persona games as playable characters does seem a little more iffy to me, though, just because I don’t know how protective Atlus is over them/how determined Atlus is to keep them separate outside of games specifically indicated as crossovers, like the PQ games and Arena. Obviously I’d love to have them, but I could imagine why Atlus might not let them, so I suppose we’ll have to wait and see on that one.
Similarly, I wouldn’t be surprised by at the very least alternate skins/weapons referencing other SMT games, other Perfect World games, and maybe even other gacha games? That’s not that different from many of the DLC outfits in P5/P5R, so it feels like there’s enough of a precedent. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if P5 keeps having crossovers with other gacha games, too, hah? Not sure whether P5X will, to the extent of something like P5X characters appearing in other gacha games or vice versa, though... I feel like I don’t really know enough about that to speculate on it much.
Either way, though, I look forward to seeing how that all ends up going!
