Toki, From Beastars

Spoilers I guess but it's been years. So, in Beastars, Legoshi's grandma is named Toki. She get's into a relationship with Gosha, and kills herself. And honestly, I kinda hate her for it. Now, that's never a great thing to say about someone who kills themself, but she does it to prove a point to Gosha about how she's not afraid of him, and accepts him in his entirety, venom at all. THE PROBLEM with that is Gosha is paranoid because he has a very real chance of horribly killing her LIKE exactly what happens because she kisses him and MELTS. Which is honestly a terrible thing to do to someone you love. Kill yourself with the EXACT thing they were worried would hurt you, and leave them with a young child to look after alone. There isn't really a way to address that unless she;s either just....super dumb, or actually just very manipulative and cruel, and proving the point was more important than, say, living. So, a fix; We know in Cannon that Gosha was very careful to not be too close to Legoshi in public, because that could've been very bad. So, expand that to Toki. The argument isn't about venom, instead Toki is insistent on not being scared of the world, and treating Gosha like a proper husband, while Gosha want's to be more careful. Toki get's her way, this provokes bigots, and then you can it be anything from harassment gone wrong to straight up lynching (depending on how dark you feel is apporpriate). But now! It is no longer Toki's "Fault", it is now the World/Society's fault, and she only wanted to be with husband. Plus, this even more cleanly goes into Leno's motviation. If she knew her mother got, say, murdered for being with Gosha, well that explains both her asking him not to associate with her, as well as being so insistent that Legoshi is as "Pure" as possible. Least, that seems better to me than cannon.

Yeah, I got kinda bored not being on tumblr since I haven't written anything else really since, I needed to get back in practice.

Leno:

Was so focused on his goal of joining the corps that he never actually put much thought into this life after that. So when one of the other guys asked him what his type of woman was, he just blanked. He never even thought about it. Needless to say he was teased quite a bit after that.

Is a very emotional drunk. Like he just wants to hug everyone and tell them how proud he is of them.

Has a small shoe collection. He liked to collect shoes in high school whenever he had some spare money or they went on sale.

Likes shooting. He just finds it calming to go to target practice. He can put on the headgear and kinda tune everything out, focus on his breathing and just relax.

Hoshina:

Has a little zen garden desk topper. Like one of those little sand gardens with the little rake and rocks. Also has a bonsai tree in his office too. He isn't in there a lot but he likes to feel at peace when he is in there.

Constantly training but hates that there aren't really any other sword users so he can't really spar with people. Closes he gets is axe users but it's not the same.

Really wants to be a father with a little girl. He just always pictured himself with a little girl wearing pigtails asking for a piggy back ride. But he doesn't get away from work enough to try dating.

Is really sassy but only to people he's close to so no one else believes them that he talks a lot and is actually bordering annoying sometimes.
