If the players want to stay the money is there to stay and to be fair, PSG is offering more than others. Its funny about how usa media controlled outlets look at sports transactions. CVC of the USA paid a lot of money for Ligue1 media rights and OL and OM got the largest fee's while everyone else got smaller, including PSG. But, OL and OM are owned by people from the USA... so... isn't that kind of dominating like when the Arab Oil people come in. where is the outrage? And I must end with a little truth. When I look at ASSE, a team that was a rival to Real Madrid in the Di Stefano , a team that was equal to any other team in UEFA in those years, about to be relegated again, it explains QSI's goal in improving ligue1 as a brand, but also explains that the model of french soccer financially, not athletically but financially, became too far behind the financial winds. In cheap retrospect, it isn't an accident that so many great legendary french teams are not in ligue1. Red Star/ASSE/Bordeaux,  they are peers to Juventus/ Bayern/Real Madrid/ Liverpool but the french model financially was a problem and now they are gone and may never be back.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi didn't hesitate to praise the way that the Premier League operate during the MARCA Sport Weekend.

Al-Khelaifi stressed that all leagues should encourage new sources of income and distribute their revenue from TV rights equally among their teams.

"We must not underestimate successful products and companies," Al-Khelaifi said.

"The Premier League is fantastic. They encourage investment. They fight piracy. They distribute the revenue very well among the teams.

"It's other leagues that need to improve, not the Premier League. That said, it's a challenge. Last year, the Premier League's bottom team received almost double PSG's domestic league TV revenue.

"This is why the Parc des Princes affair is so important for the club. PSG cannot be left behind. Ligue 1 and LFP signed a very positive deal with CVC for 1.5 billion euros. And a lot of American investors. It's an increasingly competitive league."

The futures of Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos and Kylian Mbappe may be up in the air, but Al-Khelaifi went on to stress that PSG want all their stars to stay put.

"We are lucky to have some of the best players in the world, who wanted to play at PSG despite receiving offers from other clubs," he added.

"We are working to keep them. We are going to analyze what we are doing and how to make sure we can continue developing and do things properly.

"We are not going to make mistakes. We will see in the summer what we need to balance the squad. I am not worried about the transfer window at all. I am very proud of the future stars who are emerging: Warren Zaire-Emery, El Chadaille Bitshiabu and others."

Al-Khelaifi has once again dismissed concerns that European football is at risk following the emergence of the Super League project.

"I don't think I should talk about the Super League," he continued.

Ligue 1 agrees €1.5 billion media company stake sale

The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) confirmed the agreement after entering into discussions with the Luxembourg-based private equity firm earlier this month.

The deal will see CVC take a 13% stake in the league’s new commercial company that will handle media sales.

The LFP accepted the proposal from CVC, which beat out competition from fellow investment firms including Hellman & Friedman, Oaktree Capital and Silver Lake.

While the distribution of funds has not been disclosed, a number of local reports have said that the LFP will receive an initial €600 million in July, with €200 million going directly to Qatar-backed Paris Saint-Germain.

Marseille and Lyon will reportedly receive €90 million each, while remaining clubs will receive smaller amounts.

The LFP will also direct €170 million of the total to the French state in order to reimburse a loan it took out during the Covid-19 shutdown, while €100 million will go to each of a reserve fund and for the operating costs of the new company.

Meanwhile it is a busy period for CVC. Earlier this month the investment firm bought a stake in rugby’s Six Nations for £365 million, while it has also proposed a joint-venture with Italian operator TIM.

what is odd? He mentioned taking PSG to the final but not winning the UEFA champions league with chelsea in half a season? what? Kahn just said that winning the uefa champions league is a lesser achievement than reaching the uefa champions league final. please.
