There was something soft there…warm and innocent…but it didn't last. "Ao ȳdra daor emagon naejot…" you don't have to…, Rhaena found her voice gritting, she wasn't getting anywhere with this and the song was nearly over, "Īles iā hinikagon, yn nyke ērinnon. Iksis konīr daor mirre hoskagon naejot sagon ēdas isse bona?" It was a risk, but I succeeded. Is there not any pride to be had in that?
In an instant, Aemond's hand reached up to cup her cheek, it was a soft hold at first, he let his thumb caress her cheek as he gazed down at her. But then his hand slid slightly down her neck, his grip tightened as he clutched her jaw and forced her eyes to lock with his.
"Kostagon sagon ao ȳdra daor gīmigon skoros ao nūmāzma naejot nyke…skoros ao lanta nūmāzma naejot nyke," maybe you don't know what you mean to me…what you both mean to me, his voice rasped as his eye trailed down her throat and towards her belly, "skorkydoso jakegon ēdruta nyke gīmīmagon ziry," how else must I explain it.
As if his words were punctuated by the music, the instruments stopped just as he did.

2300 words!! yay!! now THATS more like it. i haven’t even quite reached the end of the opening scene, but i need to go do laundry so i’m going to have to set it down for now :( hopefully i can write more later ;;;;
#i still need a name for it also but i'm TRYING to not RUSH that#since i always end up with names sooooo early in writing#i want to hold off on naming it until i've gotten somewhere with it#we're currently in the beginning - the armistice. then we'll have the middle - the peace treaty. and finally the end - the friendship treaty#im aiming for the end part to be twice the length of the other two#so it's like. first act is the beginning. second act is the middle. and then acts three and four are the end.#not quite sure how the end is gonna go exactly but thats the current goal anyway#idk how long this fic will end up being but i was also aiming for it to be a oneshot.....#so it's either gonna be a very long oneshot or probably ~4 chapters to match up with the acts#we'll see how it goes#i'm gonna try not to post it at all until it's written also#i think maybe around 20k-25k ? would be my current guess on length#so#shrug#gotta go do laundry now tho#shh ac#wip: laurent stabs damen

After I eventually finish this Haechan fic (s2g I don’t know why it’s getting so long 😂) and after I finish the rest of unholy, I’m gonna force myself to keep to a word minimum and just write something short because I can’t keep doing these long fics 😭
#I do this to myself lmfao#NONE of these things were meant to be this long but for some reason?? they are#I’ve got 4 parts to the Haechan fic rn#and it’s 71.5k in length and I’m not done#it’s definitely slow burn by the way#and I could cut that word count by like a quarter probably except the way that I wrote it I feel like adds an additional layer to the story#so I want to keep it in but I don’t technically really need that quarter/third of the story#but it adds to it!! I still don’t know how I want to post this either#obviously not in one big chunk because that’s fucking daunting to see a one post fic that’s like almost 75k#and the order I want to post it in because I can kinda change the order up from the way that I wrote it#all I know is that this fourth part I just finished has to be fourth#but the first three are kinda sorta? interchangeable#and now I have to write the fifth part but idk exactly how I want to write it#but I’m almost positive it’s gonna be the final part#but the fourth one is 25k by itself 😂#this is what I mean tho#I need to write a nice short 5k piece#or several like 5k and under smutty things about various members#I like to think I can just squeeze these out but then damn it takes me like two or three months because I just keep adding onto them and#evolving the story as I write it smh#I gotta go I need to keep writing and also eat dinner

hello does anyone have a good alternative to google docs? my personal requirements are:
can acess the same document from both computer and phone, without versioning issues
can handle and load long docs, at least a hundred thousand words, without crashing or taking forever to load (this is one of the points where I would like it to be better than google docs, and especially google docs mobile)
and of course your standard word processor requirements such as can handle rich text formatting, etc
#original#I saved a long conversation with a friend into a google doc so that I could do word searches on it#and it turns out that it is too long to do that efficiently#I was trying to find a section in it just now and I had to scroll down over and over until that part had loaded#and then after I'd read for a couple pages more the app crashed on me#possibly correlated to me tabbing away briefly and then coming back#also. when I say long... that particular doc is just under a hundred thousand words#most of the time it does not need to handle documents of that length#but it certainly needs to be able to handle 25K+ without issues for me to use it for writing on a regular basis#and to replace google docs for holding my chat logs it ABSOLUTELY needs to be able to handle over a hundred thousand words#preferably without taking a while to load and DEFINITELY without crashing

Sulked all day yesterday about changing my outline so that the chapters are shorter (and will therefore be easier to finish) because I do not like change even when it's good for me
Now I'm sulking because the reference I was so excited about finally posting is now two chapters away from the one I'm posting next
#honestly though#i do think shorter chapters is going to make this fic so much easier on me#but i do hate how there will be a random switch from super long chapters to regular length chapters#makes the fic feel lumpy somehow#rationally though its already got inconsistent chapter length#like the shortest chapter as of now is 7k and the longest is like 25k#with the average being something like 12k#suddenly dropping down to 4k-ish word chapters is going to take some getting used to

wsf chapter 5 is almost halfway done so a weekend update is looking promising :)
