Hey omg I’m just seeing this now sorry! Here’s three that I absolutely love and think you might too!
Ok for Flonks this fic by @thistlecatfics is AMAZING AHHH it’s probably my favorite fic I’ve ever read and it has a special place in my heart. Literally can’t recommend this one enough. (This one gets a extra 10 points from me for the Fiona Apple song reference)
Ok here’s two for Remadora:
I feel like I might have talked about this one before but it’s honestly amazing so whatever. Really everything @evesaintyves writes is incredible so if your looking to get into fics go to their writing
This one has my favorite Lupin characterization I’ve ever read, @leftsidedown really nails it. Honestly all the characters here feel spot on and I realllly love Tonks and Lupin’s relationship here.

There was something intoxicating about that. About being anonymous.
There hadn't been a single moment of his life where he wasn't Regulus Arcturus Black, with everything that entailed. Here, right now, he was free of that. Surrounded by people who embraced a part of him that his family felt needed to be hidden.
Sirius sneaks out, Regulus wants to know what he's up to and finds himself in the middle of London Pride.

any of my mutuals ~reconsidering their involvement~ in harry potter fandom and want to vent?
torn between “i don’t want to acknowledge that it exists, at all, i don’t want to give it one iota more airtime and headspace than it’s already going to get”
and “is my silence tacit approval”
and “people are going to be hurt and harmed by this” and “people are going to be excited about this and enjoy it and have positive feelings about this” and “there are people i care about in both categories and both categories are overlapping/non-mutually-exclusive groups”
i don’t want to cause anybody any unnecessary hurt, everyone on here is literally just some guy trying to get by, and i’m very familiar with muting tags of the latest fandom hyperfixation. i’m categorically not here to yuck anyone’s yum and i genuinely don’t think anyone’s a bad person or think any less of anyone for liking what they like. for the record, i think jkr is causing hurt; the impact of what any single one of us is doing is negligible compared to jkr, the executives at hbo, wb, etc. BUT at the same time i don’t have words to express how much i do not want this new thing to exist or, failing which, to hear about it in any way — and if hogwarts legacy was anything to go by, the untagged unfilterable vagueblogging will be inescapable. i think it might be possible to have a non-hp fandom presence without hearing an utterly unbearable amount of this discourse, but hp fandom… even peripherally? idk.
tbh even prior to this announcement i’d been drifting away from hp fandom so honestly… this ambivalence isn’t entirely due to the reboot — but it was nice to have this as a home of sorts. i’ve gotten to know some of the loveliest, most wonderful, kindest, and most brilliant people in this fandom, and gotten to read some of the most incredible things. it’s been such a privilege and i love you all so very very much. i’d somewhat managed to make a kind of peace with only interacting with the original material, of buying into the fan attitude of it’s ours now—and this is just. such a rude reminder that it isn’t. it will not be, not at least while jkr is alive, and i’m not sure if i want to, how, i can be a part of that.

This Bellatrix character study fic was a labor of love and pain across a number of years. I started it years ago to process my own experiences and to explore the psychology of people who engage in violence, and I had to put it away because it was becoming too painful.
Writing-wise, I went weird and experimental. Both in terms of subject matter and in terms of writing style, I feel like this is the type of writing that can only exist as a fic and can only exist because of fandom.
Reading Blackcest fic helped me cope with what I was experiencing within my family system when I was a kid, and writing helps me process as an adult.
