happy sweet home season 2 release everyone!!! i just watched the final ep and started screaming. here’s something quick! greetings from, lee eunhyuk x gn!reader, warning sweet home season 2 spoilers possibly ooc eunhyuk im trying to decide how different he shld be, mentions of scars. cheers
“Took you long enough.”
Eunhyuk scoffs silently, hands buttoning up a white shirt over his figure. Unharmed. Clean. Possibly unstoppable, now. His gaze is on his own reflection but his focus is on you, sitting nearby with your back towards him.
“Mm.” he hums, a small smile pulling at his lips. “Did you miss me?” he asks, something like a teasing tone to his voice.
You turn to look at him through the mirror and he raises his eyebrows. You roll your eyes and turn back. “No.”
Eunhyuk smirks a little at that. He tugs at his collar to make sure his shirt looks fine, out of habit, then heaves a deep sigh and turns around. He walks over to the couch you’re sitting on and sits at your side, eyes on the book in your hands.
“Is that why you kept things for me?”
Clothes. A pair of glasses. Books he used to read during your time at Green Home.
“Who said they were for you?”
Eunhyuk is dead. Anyone from Green Home would have agreed with this statement. This fact. But you refused to believe it. Parting ways with the rest of the survivors you knew (as well as the only other person who shared your feelings on this matter), avoiding the military and living in isolation, you had decided to try and make living bearable. Settling in an old apartment in a small building near the river. With enough practice from before, you had traps settled around the place and at least one or two weapons.
You used to stay at the shelter at the stadium, but hated all about it. It was much too many people and too much change all at once. No matter how organized it was, you couldn’t find it in yourself to stay. So you left, and made your own home.
Maybe it was luck that you came back to check on Green Home a day after Eunhyuk came back.
(Maybe it was meant to be.)
“How long have you been living here?” he asks quietly. He watches your eyes scan the page on your book, watches the twitch of your lips when you hum in thought, watches every detail that he missed during this time. Time passes weirdly in the state he was in, and a lot changes. A lot doesn’t. Like feelings. “I missed you.”
You turn to look at him and he tilts his head. His expression is serious and his voice is as steady as it always is.
“Thank god, you survived.”
You stare at him for a while, silent, before looking away. “You didn’t even give me time to answer.” you sigh. “It’s been ten months here. I spent two at a shelter before I got sick of it.”
“Was it bad?”
“Terrible.” you say, “I’m sorry I left Eunyu there. She can handle herself well enough, though.”
Eunhyuk sighs at that. That’s a whole other problem. At least she’s alright. “I’ll find her eventually.” he nods to himself, gaze on the floor. “I have a lot of people to find, anyways.”
“You’re so strange.” you comment, suddenly closing your book and shifting your whole attention to him. Eunhyuk does the same in turn, gaze focused on yours.
“As in?”
“You’ve changed.”
Eunhyuk blinks slowly, before narrowing his eyes. You’re not wrong. But not right either.
“You too.”
You reach your hand to his face and hold the side of it gently. He tilts his head slightly into your palm, not breaking eye contact. It was worth waiting, even if just to see you again. Your eyes are colder and your skin gained a few more scars. He’s mildly annoyed he couldn’t keep away anything that hurt you, though he knows it simply wasn’t possible. He could direct his anger towards the other people that were with you.
But humans are just so… weak. How could anyone ever count on them?
“In any case, you don’t have to worry anymore.” he says, sounding almost cold. “Not even a little bit.”
He’s here, now, and he intends to make sure you won’t have to change more than you already have because of this hellish world.

~ Chapter 1. 04 ~
I apologize in advance for any spelling or grammar mistakes and how poorly written this fanfic is. English is not my first language and together with my dyslexia ass things can go wrong I'm sorry.
Tumblr media
My head was bobbing to the music that was playing through my headset while I was finishing doing the dishes. The rest of the day went by normally. Nobody was weird and everything was just normal.
Normal is all I needed right now in my life with not too much stress.
I turned around to grab something from the counter when my ears began to ring. Grabbing my headset I took it off thinking it was that, but it was still there.
"What the hell," I mutter when it got louder before completely disappearing.
Great, put that on the list with the other things I have.
My phone went off that was on my couch making me snap out of whatever that just was. When I grabbed it I saw that it was Ji-su. She asked if I could come to her apartment because she wanted to let me hear something that she made for a song we were working on. I typed yes, but also said I needed to change first because I was still in the clothes I wore to work.
I took a grey long-sleeved shirt from the chair that I had in my room slipping it on before taking the black dress with spaghetti straps from the door where it was hanging. Taking my phone from the counter I walked to the door and put on my black covers.
The moment I walked out the door something felt wrong. The air was so thick that it almost was hard to breathe. I could feel my stomach turn telling me that something was off. I had had this feeling before. Every time I walked into the orphanage and it was so quiet I could feel that something was wrong or something bad would happen.
Most of the time I would be right because quickly afterward there would be a fight in the orphanage where someone would be in danger and whatnot. I'm pretty sure I developed it because I have had to be in survival mode my whole life there. I always had to look over my shoulder making sure I was safe.
Quickly I just shrug it off telling myself that it's all in my head and that I'm safe here. I came around the corner where the elevators were and saw Eun-hyuk standing there.
"Hey, going to work?" I asked grabbing his attention.
"Yeah. You?" He asked pressing the button for the elevator.
"I'm going to hang out with a friend that lives upstairs." He nodded looking away before talking again.
"Do you know how Eun-yu paid for her lessons?" I gave him a confused look.
"Why would I know that?" I asked with a laugh at the end.
"You two hang out a lot and I'm pretty sure you're the only one she talked to for the last couple of months." A frown came to my face at first, but then it hit me.
She told me she quit her lessons, but I guess she doesn't want him to know that. I didn't want to lie to him because he was also my friend.
"Eun-hyuk you are putting me in a tough spot here. If I tell you I would betray Eun-yu's trust, but I also don't want to lie to you. It's like asking to choose between you guys," I said scratching the back of my head.
A chuckle left his lips while he looked down before looking back up at me.
"I admire your loyalty to my sister and my friendship. It makes you a good friend, which she needs because she hasn't had one in a while. Maybe you could keep her out of trouble as well." I was happy that he understood what I meant.
"Do you also need a good friend right now? Seeing how you're always working and stuff. I haven't really seen you do other stuff than that," I admitted looking down while playing with my hands.
"You already are a good friend to me." He answers after a few seconds of silence.
I look back up at him seeing him smile at me.
"You're a lot over at our place and you don't ignore me like Eun-yu wanted you to do. We have fun conversations about old video games we used to play or really serious once when you have to wait on Eun-yu because she disappeared again." I let out a chuckle nodding my head.
I can't count on my hands how many times Eun-yu had disappeared in the evening. It always results in a worrying Eun-hyuk standing at my door asking if I know where she is. Most of the time I help him go look for her or try to call her because she would answer more likely to me than him.
"I'm happy you think about it that way," I answer truthfully.
"Can you just do two things for me?" He asked and in response, I nodded my head.
"Can you take care of her when I'm not around? She has the habit of getting in trouble and she needs someone to pull her back when she's going to do something, well stupid." I laugh knowing he was right.
After knowing her for a few months I know her ways to do it.
"The second one?"
"Can you tell me when she did something dangerous even if she asks you not to?" A frown came to my face while I bit on my lip.
If it were my sister I would be worried too and I would be happy if someone could tell me if everything is already with her.
"Yeah, I can do that."
He smiled at me before looking at the elevator.
"That's weird."
With a confused look, I looked at him.
"What?"
He looks up and down the elevator door before answering.
"The elevator isn't here yet. It should have been here a few minutes ago." Because of the talking, we hadn't noticed that any sound or movement was coming from behind the elevator door.
Looking to my right I saw what was wrong.
"Look, it's under maintenance. It's the stairs for us today." I look back at him and see him letting out a deep sigh putting his hands on his neck before looking back up.
"I guess you're right." I let out a laugh while we began to make our way to the stairs.
"So how are you doing lately? Are you still having those nosebleeds?" I didn't intend to tell anyone about it, but a few days ago I was over at their apartment in the evening because Eun-yu wanted my help with something.
When suddenly my nose began to bleed.
A lot.
I was used to it by then, but they weren't. I tried to stop it at first with the tissues she had in her room, but when she saw that it didn't stop she yelled for her brother who came rushing into the room because she never yelled for him. She yelled at him to do something pointing at me which he did. Having a brother who got into medical school is always handy. The bleeding stopped, but I fainted quickly afterward.
I woke up the next day in Eun-yu's bed with her looking down at me. The first thing she said was that I scared the shit out of her before asking me if I was okay. Of course, after that, I had to tell them about how it has been happening for a few days now, but that I have no idea why and that I'm okay.
Eun-hyuk wanted me to go to the hospital and let them check if everything was alright, which I quickly said no to. I don't really like people touching me. It brings back bad memories.
"I'm actually fine. I haven't had a nosebleed or fainted in a day or so now." Which was a miracle because I had them a lot.
"That's great. If it would have lasted any longer I would have taken you myself to the hospital. It could have been something really dangerous." It could be, but it's over now. It was probably related to stress. Seeing how the last couple of months have been before and right after moving here.
"Ooooh, does Lee Eun-hyuk care for someone else than his sister? Eun-yu was wrong and you are a human with feelings and not some super smart robot someone had created to annoy her." I laugh teasing him.
He tried to hide his smile, but I could see the corner of his mouth move.
"Honestly, that is probably one of the more friendliest things she has called me." I laugh nodding at him.
We said goodbye to each other when we finally reached the stairs, both going different ways. Before I took my first step up I turned around yelling his name.
"Eun-hyuk, she isn't in any danger."
A frown came on his face not knowing what I meant.
"Her lessons. She didn't do anything stupid so don't worry about it."
I began to walk up the stairs hearing him chuckle before walking down.
I know that Eun-yu is adopted. She had told me that a few months ago. It was one of the first times she opened up to me. She had shown me a picture of them when they were little with their parents. I knew their parents had died in a car accident, but she hadn't told me that it was because they were on their way to her ballet performance that she begged she could go to.
She talked about how she was an orphan and that now she had made Eun-hyuk an orphan too. I had tried to comfort her, telling her that it wasn't her fault and stupid shit like that happens. I tried, but she didn't believe me. Maybe that was the right time to say that I was one too, but I didn't want to talk about my problems when she had just opened up to me.
My feet stopped walking when I came to the fourteenth floor. The door was open, but the thing that made me stop was the smear of blood that was on it. With slow steps, I began to make my way to it. Did someone get hurt here? I haven't heard anything unusual when I was home.
Carefully poking my head out the doorway I try to see if someone was there.
There was only silence which made things worse. The bad feeling in my stomach returned the moment I stepped a foot into the hallway. Everything seemed normal until I almost slipped on something. Lifting my foot from the ground I saw more blood. I looked up and saw that it was a trail.
Someone who was hurt must have come through here. I bite my lip debating whether to just turn around and get the guard, but then the thought of him being exhausted came back. Taking just a look never hurts someone. If someone is hurt I just call someone for help. Walking beside the blood trail I began to follow it.
The smell of metallic became stronger the more blood I found on the floor. I halted in my tracks when my ears began to ring again. It wasn't like the last time. This time it hurts my ears making me cover them with my hands thinking that they will begin to bleed. It lasted a few seconds before it died down.
Slowly I moved my hands from my hands afraid I would see blood, but there was nothing on them.
"What the hell?" I mutter out taking deep breaths.
My body spun around when I heard a sound from behind me. It sounded like someone was in pain, letting out a low groan.
"Hello? Do you need help?" I was about to make my way back from where the sound came from when someone stepped from behind the corner I just come from.
It was a girl, that was for sure, but the rest of her body was kinda hiding in the shadows because the light above her was broken.
"Hey, are you okay?"
A loud squeal came from her before I heard her voice.
"I'm so hungry." To my surprise, it sounded like the girl I bumped into today.
"Uhm, I don't have anything with me?" I said confused.
I didn't know if the blood was coming from her because she was so hidden in the dark, but when my eyes traveled down her hands I saw something dripping from her hands.
"So hungry."
She took a step forward, making me take a step back not trusting the situation at all.
My eyes widened when I saw her completely now. Her face was covered in blood around her mouth and nose. The blood was definitely coming from her. My body completely tensed up when I saw her hands. They were completely covered in a grey tint that was underneath the blood together with some black vines going up her arm.
I even think that her nails seemed longer than normal humans.
"I'm hungry."
I took a few steps back when her croaky voice came out.
"J...just stay there." I managed to get out my lips.
The girl let out a groan taking more steps forward. How can this be real? She doesn't look human at all. Is she pranking me because of earlier?
"I....I'm sorry I called you a bitch!" I yelled out taking faster steps backward.
My words didn't seem to go through her. My feet stepped on something crunchy, making me stop walking scared I stepped on something she had killed. My body froze completely when she began to charge at me with a loud chilling yell.
I braced myself for what she would do to me when there was the sound of a door opening beside me, a second later someone grabbed my arm pulling me away just seconds before the girl could get to me.

The Star Crossed Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lee Su-hyeok x Fem!Yoon!Reader
Author's Notes: For the sake of fanfiction - and this applies to all of my aouad stories unless stated otherwise - we shall make it so that Gwi-nam never sexually assaulted/harassed Eun-ji and neither did his friend group because what they did WAS SA/SH and I feel like so many people gloss over that fact. They have never SA/SH anyone and are just regular bullies who just harass and beat people up normally. In this story, Gwi-nam and his friends are all seniors instead of juniors as I’m pretty sure they were juniors in the show.  Warnings: Violence, zombies, slight bully!Su-Hyeok in the beginning, (maybe) ooc Gwi-nam, extra extra fluffy fluff, (more to be added as the story progresses)
My Navigation and Masterlist
My All Of Us Are Dead Masterlist
Being an outcast based off of the boy you are the younger sister of for the entirety of your high school experience has been a roller coaster of emotions. Even more so when you include the fact that the only person who doesn’t treat you differently is the ex friend and fellow bully of your older brother. When the zombie apocalypse begins, when feelings arise and friendships are made, you begin to realize life isn’t as bad as you thought it would be. Funny how you only learned that while the world was ending.

could you write a headcanon or a scenario like dating lee eunhyuk i'm soft for him :(
i'll do a scenario bc i've written like one actual piece for a month and i need to write more than just headcanons LOL. lets just pretend that in this eun-hyuk sleeps in the security office. he's got like a little bedroll or something on the floor 😭
sorry this is short! this is more of a drabble than a full fic but i hope you enjoy it anyways. gender neutral!!
1 in the afternoon — lee eun-hyuk
Tumblr media
eun-hyuk had so much on his shoulders.
you could tell he was stressed from the hunched shoulders and constant furrowed eyebrows, and— as his partner— you wanted to do something to try and cheer him up. it wouldn't be much, but spending at least some time with him without so much depressing talk going on might make him feel at least somewhat better. it would be a start.
you hadn't been dating for a long time. you had officially gotten together right before the apocalypse happened (it's still weird, knowing there's an actual apocalyptic event happening right outside your door), but you had already acted like a couple even before he officially asked you to be his partner.
with the recent events, eun-hyuk was put in charge. he was calm and level-headed, able to make quick and rational decisions. he proved himself when a monster from outside almost got into the green home, but he never signed up for it.
he spent a lot of his time in the security room close to the daycare. he would spend hours watching the security cameras and contemplate god knows what sitting in there by himself. you couldn't handle seeing him like this anymore.
he suffered in silence. he didn't want to bring you down with him. what he didn't understand was how much he truly meant to you, and seeing him under so much pressure made you upset. all you wanted was for him to be able to be open and honest with you about how he was feeling.
the door to the security office creaked open and you hesitated before stepping inside. you could only hope that he would be grateful for your presence. you contemplated turning around, but shook your head. you couldn't turn your back on the man you loved and cared for the most.
his back was turned to you and his eyes were glued onto the security camera footage in front of him. he was so focused on the tapes that he didn't even notice the sound of the door open. "eun-hyuk?" you asked, hoping it would get his attention. he only hummed in response. he was so.. different. it pained you to see him this way.
you pursed your lips and took a few steps forward. you grabbed a chair from where you were standing and sat it next to where your boyfriend sat staring at the cameras. "aren't you tired?" you asked, taking a seat next to him. he shrugged, "not really." his words told you one thing, but the bags under his eyes told an entirely different story. you grabbed onto one of his hands, which finally grabbed and held onto his attention.
"you need to sleep, eun-hyuk." you told him firmly. you wouldn't take no for an answer anymore, you told yourself as he looked deep into your eyes. from his expression, he looked calm as he always does. though, in his eyes, you could tell that something was wrong. "you need a break, just like everyone else. just because you were made the de facto leader doesn't mean you don't deserve to rest." you said after a few moments of sitting in silence. he only looked at you, not saying anything else. "please. i'll stay with you."
he shook his head again. "i have to make sure everything runs smoothly. i can't take breaks when doing this." eun-hyuk sounded exhausted, taking deep breaths in-between his sentences. "honey. please." you begged, your voice getting quieter and quieter with every word. "i'm worried about you. you spend all of your time in here. i know you want to protect everyone, but i want to protect you from yourself." he doesn't reply to you, but his body loosens up and he stands from the chair. you can almost hear the cracks of his bones when he does so.
you get out of your chair and move closer to him, gently wrapping your arms around his waist as you try to pull him as close to you as possible. you rub calming circles on his back with your palms and nuzzle your face into his chest. he lets out a breath, and he shuts his eyes.
"i needed this." is the only thing he says to you, and you smile as you pull away from the hug. "c'mon. let's lie down."
he smiles. a real and beautiful smile. your heart aches at the look on his face. it's the happiest he's been since the apocalypse started, and you're glad you could be the cause of it.
you tug him over to his makeshift bed in the far corner of the room and he lies down on it, his eyes closing like they did during the hug. though, this time, you climb into his bed next to him and cuddle up against his side, resting your cheek on the palm of your hand as try to look at his face. his cheeks are dusted with a barely noticeable pink, but he has the ghost of a smile etched across his features.
"hey, eun-hyuk?"
"hm?"
"can i kiss you?" you said.
"please."
his voice sounded desperate, like he'd been waiting for you to ask the entire time you'd been in the room with him. he sits up and his hands immediately grab onto your waist to pull you closer to him. you don't kiss him yet, instead you take a moment to admire him and his facial features.
he was so beautiful inside and out. he never knew how incredible he was and you could only hope that you were showing him through your words and actions.
you kissed him without any hesitancy. he melted into your touch and you wrapped your arms around his neck, kissing him as softly as you could. his entire body was and you can see that you're actually helping him. he'll try to pull you closer and eventually pull you onto his lap. he couldn't hold back his laughter as you kiss him. he hadn't felt that much joy in so incredibly long that finally experiencing it again felt like a dream come true.
you pulled away after a few more moments and he leaned after your lips, eyes still closed as he doesn't want you to pull away from him yet.
"thank you for this." he spoke after a brief moment of sitting quietly, just silently admiring each other. he would still have his hands resting on your waist, a smile on his lips. "you don't have to thank me." you peck his lips.
"i'd do anything for you, eun-hyuk. i know you don't realize how important you are to me but with all of this i just.. i know how you need love." he didn't reply but his facial expression says it all. his body tensed up at the mention of the current situation but relaxes after you tangle your hands into his hair. "can we do this again?" you laugh. "of course. now c'mon, love. let's get to bed."
even if it was 1 in the afternoon, eun-hyuk didn't care. he was with you, and that was all that mattered.

hey, aly! i would like to request a reader x lee eunhyuk one shot wherein they are in a romantic relationship even before the chaos ensued in the apartment (and the world lmao). reader watches eunhyuk change from being the affectionate, high-spirited s/o to a cold and withdrawn one. maybe with a prompt: “i’m sick of missing you when you’re right here."?
please make it full of angst (with a bit of fluff in the end, up to you hehe).
thank you, lovely aly! 💖

warnings: angst, arguing, fluff at the end
wilting flowers — lee eunhyeok
Tumblr media
He was everything you could’ve asked for. Your shining light in a world full of darkness. Eunhyeok was a perceptive man. A man that wouldn’t let your worries take over you without interrupting your thoughts himself. One doesn’t go into the medical field without naturally caring for humans to some extent, and he showcased that to you in every interaction you had.
You could remember when you first introduced him to your mother. She was a harsh woman. Building a life for the two of you after being abandoned by your father lead her to a distant attitude and tough skin. Even so, you couldn’t ask for more from her. It’s hard for a single woman to support a newborn child with only 30,000 won to her name.
She never verbally said she loved you, nor did she give you comforting hugs. You were envious of the other children at school. The way they talked about their family activities, or walking home with their other siblings. You never even heard a simple ‘congratulations’ for a perfect report card. It was difficult. But…
She loved you in her own type of way. You knew that.
Your mother requested to meet Eunhyeok over dinner after she heard about your boyfriend. She was impressed with his aspirations and even more impressed by his formality around her. You were relieved to see them getting along nicely. Things were going more smoothly than you thought they would.
That was until she turned her attention to you, asking you a simple question that had more meaning than she let on.
“So, Y/N. How are you fairing these days?”
To any other person, the words would’ve slipped by them as a simple conversation starter. A way to check up on someone you haven’t talked to. But you had lived with her for eighteen years of her life, and if those years taught you anything, it was how to read between the lines.
The tone of her voice, the emphasis of her words, all of it was a jab at you. A jab at how you decided you were too burnt out to go to college, a jab at how you were stuck in a low-paying retail job with shitty management. She had a habit of taking out her pent-up frustration on you in the form of words.
Your jaw tensed up a bit, but you quickly hid it behind a gentle smile and began to tell her about your work. You told her about life in the Green Home and how you met Eunhyeok because he helped you pick up the bag of groceries you dropped as you were walking out of the grocery store. You told her every detail you could. Because that was the only way you knew how to distract yourself from the things she would deem as failures.
Before you could go on, an unexpected voice cut through your words. Eunhyeok began to speak, telling her about your accomplishments. Complimenting you now and then. She listened intently, pleasantly surprised at the way he spoke of you. That was the moment you knew you were surely in love with him.
It was only when you got back to the Green Home that he held you tightly in his arms, not leaving your apartment until he confirmed that you were emotionally okay.
After a while, you came over to his apartment so frequently that you could be mistaken for family. It took a few months for Eunyu to warm up to you, but after a conversation about her love for ballet spiraled into something much deeper, she started treating you like the sister she never had.
He would take you out on dates with what little money he had left, he would hold your hand, spend nights on end talking about whatever came to mind, and devote his heart to you. You had high hopes that it would last forever.
But it didn’t.
The world came to an abrupt halt, your relationship going along with it. Monsters roamed the land and there was no telling who was next. For all you knew, you could be the next victim to the intense nosebleeds and skull-crushing headaches.
Eunhyeok had the world resting on his shoulders. Despite being one of the youngest in the crowd, his calm demeanor and quick thinking pushed him into the position of leader among the group. They put an outlandish amount of trust in his decisions. Every single one of them.
You knew why they did this. Being scared out of your mind puts a certain amount of fragility in a person’s thought process. When you see someone so calm and filled with authority, you can’t help but follow them.
But it wasn’t good for him. You had known him long enough to see that. Over the past couple of weeks, he had transformed from the sweet, loving Eunhyeok into someone distant and unknown. It reminded you of your mother.
Your love reminded you of wilting flowers. Something so beautiful when tended to regularly, but could collapse into a tragic end when neglected and ignored.
Now, here you were. Walking to his location with his dinner in your hand. He missed mealtime so often that it almost seemed like this was a nightly routine for you.
“Eunhyeok?” you called out, the words rolling off of your tongue softly. Along with your voice came gentle knocks of the door of the security office, trying to catch his attention. He spent all of his time in that damn room.
He turned his chair around and made eye contact with you. God, you would never get over how gorgeous his eyes were. They were always so warm and filled with love. Whenever he looked at you, it felt like you were getting wrapped in a warm blanket, butterflies dancing around in your chest.
But now… his gaze chilled you to the bone.
“What is it?” he questioned, quickly breaking your stare. You cleared your throat and walked to the desk, placing the plate you held in your free hand down. He looked at you expectantly, raising a brow in your direction.
“Dinner.” You gestured to the food. Watching as he shifted his gaze to the rations, you bit your lip. The tension emitting from his body made your muscles tighten up, nerves beginning to run in and out of your system.
“I’m not hungry,” he answered simply, turning back to the cameras. You pursed your lips, moving closer to him.
You placed a hand on his shoulder, desperately calling out his name. “Eunhyeok, you haven’t eaten anything all day. Please.”
Immediately, you felt his shoulder stiffen and his posture go straight. You gulped down any moisture and felt your mouth go dry. He hesitated a bit, slowly shrugging your hand off of his shoulder.
“I’m busy, Y/N. Sorry.”
You clamped your hands together restlessly, getting slightly uncomfortable with the sternness of his voice. Even still, you were concerned about his health. He barely left the room, only doing so for important meetings and group decisions. It had been like this for the past week or two. You couldn’t imagine the stress he was under thinking he was responsible for such a large amount of lives. So you pressed on.
“I-” You temporarily lost your voice, quickly gathering yourself. “I understand that. I can watch the cameras for you if you want, just please eat something.”
You ended your sentence with a shaky breath, awaiting his response. When you were met with nothing, you felt a weight form in your stomach.
You could walk out of the room right now and leave the situation, just like you’ve done for the past week. Leave him alone, don’t confront the problem. You had always been scared of confrontation.
But at this point, you felt as if you were far too deep to do that. If there was ever a time for you to bring up your concerns, it was now, right? Swallowing down any remaining remnants of cowardice in your throat, you spoke up.
“I know you’re probably stressed, but you can talk to me, Eunhy-”
“Can you just… drop it?” he asked, keeping his eyes trained on the screens. The tone of his voice was icy. It wasn’t too noticeable, but you could tell. You clenched your jaw, shaking your head.
“No,” you said back, voice quiet. “No, I can’t drop it. What’s going on with you lately?” This seemed to catch enough of his attention to make him spin around. He looked up at you, your E/C eyes connecting with his.
“Let’s not talk about this, Y/N,” he replied, once again trying to drag your focus away from the topic. He was about to turn back around once more, but the sudden rise in your voice was enough to make his eyes widen.
“How can I not talk about it? You’re ignoring me every day, am I supposed to be okay with that? Just tell me what’s going on…!” you gasped out, your frustration seeping through the cracks.
“I can’t deal with this—” He stood up quickly, gesturing between the two of you. “—with us, anymore! I can’t deal with everyone here while giving you the attention you need! I’m sick of it! Why does it matter so much to you, anyway?!” he shouted with fire in his voice.
“Because I’m sick of missing you when you’re right here, that’s why!” you retaliated, feeling tears prick your eyes. “Because I’m in love with you, and I miss spending time with the person I love!”
You were now chest to chest with the boy, staring straight into his eyes. Tears were on the verge of spilling past your eyelids, but you held them in as you continued to vent the feelings that had been held in the back of your mind for weeks.
“But it feels like you can’t stand to be around me, so I never know where I stand around you! And now I know why—” your voice cracked, a single tear slipping down your cheek. “—you just don’t love me like you used to…” you ended shakily, voice weak and helpless.
You closed your eyes, letting the tears fall as you turned around and rushed out of the room. Overwhelmed with emotion, you dashed towards the restrooms. Away from people. That is what you needed; to be away from people. To be by yourself for a moment. Leaning against the wall, you slowly slid to the floor. You brought your knees up to your chest and buried your face into your arms. Soft sobs wracked your body.
Did you say too much? Your brain is telling you no; you had a right to say the worries that had been on your mind. Sure, he was stressed, but he shouldn’t have taken it out on you. But your heart, on the other hand, was telling you the complete opposite. If you hadn’t pushed him, the argument wouldn’t have occurred, and you wouldn’t be crying on the dirty bathroom floor. He has a lot going on and he needs space. That includes distance from you.
Your mind was so filled with complicated thoughts that you didn’t even notice a presence sit down next to you, a sigh escaping their lips. You looked up at them due to the sudden noise, surprised to find yourself next to Eunyu. She looked you up and down, turning her gaze away.
“You look like shit,” she declared.
You frowned, burying your head back into the comfort of your arms. She seemed to notice that her words weren’t much help, quickly recoiling.
“Sorry, I mean… what’s going on?”
The invitation to vent lingered in the air. You brought your face out from its hiding spot. It was almost too good of an offer to turn down. Almost. Eunhyeok was her brother, you didn’t want to get her involved with your relationship drama with him. You didn’t want her to gain ill feelings towards her brother because she only got your side of the story, nor did you want her to harness bad feelings towards you for the same situation.
You looked into her eyes. Warm and welcoming, ready to take on any problems that come their way. It was rare to see them like this, a stark contrast to their abrasive nature. Seeing her eyes look at you like this reminded you of her brother. The way he used to look at you. The mere thought brought tears to your eyes once again, and you let out a weak sob.
“I miss him,” you whispered, leaning your head against the wall.
“You miss him? Who?” she interrogated. When met with no answer, she pieced one together on her own. “My brother?”
You nodded, too afraid to speak in fear of another onslaught of tears letting loose. She groaned and let a wave of annoyance come over her.
“What stupid shit did he do this time?”
“Nothing,” you quickly came to his defense, shaking your head. “We just got into an argument.”
“About?” she pressed on, determined to get information out of you. Too tired to protest, you gave in.
“Nothing specific, he’s just… he’s been distant lately. I think he’s sick of me,” you murmured, closing your eyes once more. You were still trying to process what he said to you. He couldn’t deal with the relationship anymore, so why couldn’t you accept that.
“Bullshit!” Eunyu shouted, giving you a light punch on the shoulder. You raised your eyebrows at her, confused at the sudden outburst.
“How stupid can you be?” she continued. “Eunhyeok can be an asshole, but he loves you a lot, you know? He’s constantly worrying about you.”
“Huh?” you mumbled, dumbfounded at the words that just came out of her mouth.
She stood up and brushed the dirt off of her skirt, giving you an expectant look. “Go talk to him in the morning. If you’re taking the fight this hard, he’s probably taking it harder. Trust me.”
With that she walked off, leaving you alone to contemplate her words on the cold tile of the bathroom floor. You weren’t sure how well you would sleep after the harsh words exchanged between the two of you, but for right now, it was the only thing you could do.
And so, when the time came, you followed Eunyu’s advice. Your guesses about your rest were correct. It was hard to sleep peacefully while thinking about everything you said. Add on the things that were said to you and you have yourself a night full of tossing and turning.
You woke up before a good majority of the other residents. One was missing though, and you weren’t surprised to figure out it was Eunhyeok. He was always an early riser. Taking in a nervous breath, you got up and stretched your legs, beginning your walk to find the man of the hour.
You were quite shocked to find the security office empty. It was rare to not see your boyfriend working his day away on plans for the group. How to ration out food, who’s buddying with who, and who stands watch for the day. With no luck, you went to the only other place you could think of.
The grocery store held a small bit of significance in your relationship. After all, it was where you first met. Sure, it wasn’t the most romantic place in the Green Home (but let’s be honest, the apartment complex itself didn’t have the most romantic atmosphere around), but it was special to you and that’s what mattered.
You entered the doorway, taking in a nervous breath as you saw him down the farthest aisle. It was now or never. You slowly stepped in his direction. It was a bit nerve-wracking. You weren’t sure if you should speak up and let him know you’re in the area, or if you should leave it until he noticed you. In the end, you didn’t need to make a decision, as he had already made one for you.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled. Even though he hadn’t turned around, it seemed that you weren’t as sneaky as you thought. He had heard your quiet shuffles the entire time. You gave up the muted walking and stepped forward, ending up by his side. It was then you could see what he was staring at.
In front of him sat the small flower selection of the supermarket. All of them had long since wilted, leaving nothing but droopy, dry petals. Something that used to be so full of life, now lie decaying and sad. Without the sunlight and water they needed, they died, too tired to do anything different. It was eye-opening how the loss of love and care could lead to such a sad fate.
You frowned, glancing up at his face.
His expression was as stoic as usual. Though, with further inspection, you saw the hint of regret in his eyes. Before you could examine him any more, he turned his face to you.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. For everything.”
Those words were all you needed to hear. The look in his eyes told the other half of his story, the half he was too afraid to say out loud. Eunhyeok was never one to request for help, and you understood that. He knew the consequences of his actions, and even if he wasn’t going to say them out loud, the way he looked at you told you everything you needed to know.
You lifted your hand up to his face, slowly brushing your thumb against his cheekbone. He leaned into the touch, closing his eyes for a moment.
“I know you’re stressed,” you admitted softly. “But I’m here to support you. You don’t have to push me away.”
“I know.”
He brought his hand up to rest on your own. His palm was much colder than yours and you couldn’t help but feel the urge to bring him into a hug. To share your warmth. You wrapped your arms around his neck, burying your face into his chest. He reciprocated the action, bringing his arms around your waist.
You felt a small kiss being pressed onto your forehead, and in that moment, you knew. Life was rough, and trying to work through a relationship was even harder. But you would be okay, and so you would your love for Eunhyeok.
You were reminded of the many uses for a flower that had been wilted. Gorgeous wall art, pleasant smelling candles… and they could even be composted. Recycled so that new flowers could grow to be just as alluring as the ones before them once were.
Your journey with Eunhyeok had been rough, but it could grow into something strong and delightful with just a little care.
Just like wilted flowers.

Going on a museum date with All of us are dead characters
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: these all take place before the zombie apocalypse
Warnings: none 💕
Lee Su-hyeok:
it took a while for you to convince him to go on a museum date with you, it's not something he'd usually enjoy
he'd much rather stay at home all day and cuddle
but when you finally go, he'd spend most of the time looking at you instead of the art, he wouldn't let go of your hand the whole time
"Baby, in a room full of art I'd still stare at you..so we can just go home now, right?"
to annoy him a little, you'd spend an extra long time in front of each piece and read each sign to him, despite his protests
while you were doing that he'd give in and plop on one of the benches and drag you with him - if you're going to make him stay there for hours he can at least get some cuddles in
Choi Nam-ra:
Nam-ra came prepared, she seemed to know everything about every single artist, every piece of art in the museum - you were taken by surprise by her knowledge, she didn't strike you as someone who'd enjoy art and museums so much
she would never tell you, but she actually doesn't - as soon as your date was confirmed she panicked a little bit because she's had a crush on you for years and she really really wanted to impress you
she actually gets a little bit anxious in big, crowded spaces so she's never liked museums all that much, but with you by her side she feels much more comfortable, much more safe
so much so, that she wandered off a few times to explore on her own, she really seemed to enjoy herself and you couldn't help but stare in awe as she was taking in a painting
every time you got separated, she would smile at you softly from the other side of the room
whenever she would find you again she'd tell you about her favorite pieces - at the end of the day you'd plan another museum date
Jang Ha-ri:
getting asked out by Ha-ri was the last thing you would have ever expected, getting asked to go on a museum date with her felt like a dream
at first she'd be rather distant, wandering off to explore on her own but meeting again after a while, discussing what both of you saw while separated
but as time went by, she'd get more used to being around you, more comfortable and she'd stay by your side, quietly reading the signs to you
even silence wasn't awkward anymore, you'd spend a long time just in front of one exhibit, deep in your thoughts
after some time she'd take your hand and gently lead you to see something she found interesting
at the end of the day you'd be planning what you'd like to explore together next
Min Eun-ji:
you weren't expecting Eun-ji to suggest going to a museum for your first date but she seemed very excited
she was by no means an expert but she enjoyed looking at different pieces of art and thinking about their backstories and the artists behind them
the two of you would entertain each other by making up stories before reading the signs
"do you think the two of them had a secret affair?"
you'd make heads turn with your laughter, people looking at you judgingly because of your silly stories and jokes
but neither of you really cared, happy in your own little world
Yoon Gwi-nam:
not interested in any kind of art, he wouldn't listen to anything you have to say, would probably yawn and complain very loudly so you know for sure he's not having a good time
hasn't been to a museum in forever, if at all, thinks it's pretentious and a waste of time and money
is only there because you agreed to go out with him, as long as you could pick the place - you were surprised he even showed up at all and he was surprised too, but if there was anyone he'd endure this for, it was you
"I could do that too, it looks like a child made it"
would make fun of anyone genuinely interested in the artworks, except for you, he'd find it surprisingly cute and the more time you'd spend at the museum, the less bored he'd find himself
don't get your hopes up too high tho, the nicest thing he could come up with was "this would make a nice tattoo" while pointing at a random painting

Hiya! Can I request for headcannons of Lee Eun Hyuk dating a special infectee reader like Cha Hyun Soo. The reader got hurt while fighting and doesn't want to get their wounds treated, saying it'll heal quickly, something like that. Thanks~
Special Infectee x Lee Eun-Hyuk Headcannons
Tumblr media
-He feared that you would succumb to the sickness, the only thought in his mind was finding a pattern to the infection, so he could prevent you from getting infected
-When you started having the nosebleeds his heart dropped
-You thought about hiding it from him but knowing how he is, there would be no point
-He’s pretty shaken up, consumed with the need to cure you, to make sure you don’t perish as so many others have
-Or worse, he’d have to kill you, the very thought of it made his chest ache
-After the initial freak out period, he’s quick to burn with determination that you’ll survive, after all you’re the strongest person he knows
-Whenever you begin to have the “inner desire hallucination” (dark Kermit meme), he’s immediately there, to pull you out of it, to reassure you
-Theoretically he should send you on supply runs, just like Hyun-Soo, but he can’t bare to put you in that situation
-You’ve saved his ass more than a few times, what can I say, monster strength and healing comes in handy
-Even though your wounds take no longer than a few minutes to heal, he still fusses over you
-You try to shoo him off, but he’s insurance he AT LEAST take a look
-You can’t say no to his pleading eyes, he’s just too cute
-In the time it takes for him to assess your wounds, you’re already completely healed, nonetheless it makes him feel better
-If you’re ever face to face with a monster, he’ll step in front of you, protecting you with his life
-However when the monster takes notice of you two, you jump into action, fighting tooth and nail to protect the main you so dearly love
-He’ll scold you for your reckless behaviour but will end his lecture with a kiss to the forehead

COMEBACK/APOCALYPSE
eunhyuk x gn!reader — 577 words.
genre: angst/comfort, (probably) established relationship
warnings: mentions of death, grief, and swearing. nothing else i think!
synopsis: Eunhyuk returns. You don’t know how to deal with it.
author’s note: i miss him so have this. also me when you’re coming back and it’s the end of the world and we’re starting over and i love you darling and i am done
Tumblr media
“You’re dead.” you say, “I’ve finally made peace with that. You should not be here.”
Steady as your voice may be, you’re unsure how much of your carefully crafted detached exterior manages to hold up in the face of Lee Eunhyuk’s apparent return to life. He looks as calm as usual. The way he stares at you feels somewhat unnerving— A gaze that refuses to let go, one that pierces right through you.
You feel the walls around you crumbling before you can do anything about it. You never stood a chance. “Eunhyuk.” you sigh, tone almost pleading. Please tell me you’re real. Please tell me you’re alive. Even if it makes no sense, say it, please. You hold his gaze as he takes a few short steps towards you.
“I’m sorry.” he says. Your throat feels tight and your eyes sting. “That you grieved for something that wasn’t gone.”
This is so much worse. But there isn’t a good way this situation could’ve gone.
This is one year and some months of sinking into a void of growing despair, with nothing to grab onto to stop it. It’s one year and some months that really feel like a decade of your very heart withering away. It’s one year and some months of surviving a monster apocalypse, and somehow having the sight of the person you craved to see the most be the thing that truly breaks you. The floor feels like it’s disappearing under your feet. You’re falling again, and it feels ten times worse and more instant. Like death. You’re dying and he’s saying sorry for not ever truly leaving.
“No, I,” you pause, forcing yourself to actually breathe, “I grieved over someone that was gone. You were gone. This was over a whole year without a single sign from you. An entire year of forcing myself to believe everyone’s words. ‘He’s dead’, ‘He’s gone and under the crumbled building’, ‘You’ll never see him again’, that was real.”
Eunhyuk doesn’t say a word.
“I didn’t want to believe it. I was so sure of it— That you weren’t really gone. You wouldn’t leave so easily. I didn’t believe it at all.” you shake your head, gaze moving aimlessly, “I eventually had to stop believing, and I’m sorry that I did. But you can’t just come back this way.”
“Should I leave?”
He’s dead serious, the fool. Polite and conscious of the boundaries he might’ve pushed by simply making himself known to you again.
“No. Are you kidding me?” you take a step forward, but it’s awfully hesitant. Like if you get too close you’ll see his skin is translucent and he was never really there and you’d been yelling at the wall. “You can’t leave. Not again.”
What are you supposed to do with all these feelings? It’s terrifying. He really is here.
“What can I do?” he asks, tone as steady as you’d hoped yours would come out. Every moment you practiced that false image of calm, your reference had subconsciously been Eunhyuk. Calm and level-headed, mature, the perfect leading figure. You’d never see Lee Eunhyuk slip up over his own emotions. That’s what you strived for.
But as it turns out, it’s not easy to be like this.
So out of touch. You need to make sure.
“Take my hand.” you say, ask, “Please.”
He looks down at your hand, then back up at you when he shortens the distance between the two of you. His hand is careful when it takes yours, slowly bringing it up between both of your chests. His skin is just as cold as it was, as cold as you remembered. Rough, contrasting how gentle his movements are. You stare at him and he stares at your hand.
“Now?”
“Now you promise not to die without me.”
That’s not something he can promise, you know it already. His expression tenses for a moment, like he’s in pain, but it’s gone just as fast. “I can’t promise you that.” he says, looking up at you, “You know that.”
“You’re the worst person I know.” you say, lying through your teeth. Eunhyuk carefully reaches his free hand towards your face, pressing his palm to your jaw.
“I am, aren’t I?” he says quietly, expression unchanging. “I’d usually call bullshit, but I admit I sort of believe you, all things considered.”
You scoff but it’s hard for it not to turn into a laugh. It’s light and not the definition of happy but it feels somewhat comforting. Your heart feels painfully tight. There’s something inordinately scary about allowing yourself to hope again.
“You know, once it actually clicks in my head that you’re really here, I’m going to cry like I never have before?”
“Don’t waste your energy on that.” he hums, “Still, I’ll be here through all of it, if it happens. I’ll be there. I won’t leave again. Not like last time.”
You lean down until your forehead hits his shoulder. He moves his hand to the back of your head, and the other just tightens around your own. There’s no need for more than that to say I love you, silently, in your own way.
“You will?”
“I can promise you that much.”

~ Chapter 2. 04 ~
I apologize in advance for any spelling or grammar mistakes and how poorly written this fanfic is. English is not my first language and together with my dyslexia ass things can go wrong I'm sorry.
Tumblr media
Hyun-su must have felt that I wasn't following him because he turned back around looking at me confused. My breath began to quicken because I had no idea where the monster could be. He made his way back to me asking.
"What's wrong?"
I shook my head lightly.
"I think there's a monster nearby," I said looking around.
"But I don't hear anything through the earbuds?"
Was I wrong?
Maybe I'm just scared and stressed so I was hearing and feeling things that aren't there.
"You're right le..." Before I could finish Hyun-su had covered my mouth with his hand, before pointing to his earbud.
I was confused for a second before understanding that he was hearing something. He let go of me while we looked around for a place to hide. I tapped his shoulder nodding my head to the halve-open elevator. Quickly we made our way to it trying to be as quiet as possible.
The elevator shook a little when we dropped in on it, but it quickly stopped. Both sitting on each side we began to wait for whatever was out there. For a second it was quiet before I heard a similar voice and sentence.
"I can't see."
I closed my eyes resting my head against the elevator wall. Why can't that stupid monster just stay away from us? Together with his groaning and speaking, I could hear something scraping against the wall. My best guess was his long nails. He was probably trying to feel around where he was.
I opened my eyes again and saw a camera hanging in the corner of the elevator.
I was hoping that someone was watching and they would send help, but that had a low chance of happening. I heard it walk by slowly groaning further.
Suddenly the lights went out leaving us in a darker elevator.
My eyes went to Hyun-su and saw him covering his noise, which made me confused before the filthy stench reached my mouth. It took me everything to not just poke right here and now. Quickly I covered my nose trying to think about something else. The both of us looked at each other asking one another if we could move again.
I bit my lip watching Hyun-su stand up trying to look outside if something was there, but the moment he was in front of the opening the monster appeared. It tried to get in to grab whoever was there, but when it felt that it didn't fit, its arm shot out just like in the apartment hitting the box with rotten fish that were the source of the horrible smell.
For a second we just sat there, before I raised my axe hacking a part of his root arm off. It let out a scream having its guard completely down. Hyun-su took the chance to stab it, pushing it away when electrocuting it. He quickly jumped out grabbing my hand to pull me faster out of the elevator, so that we had a head start on the monster.
We turn a corner trying not to slip on the floor while running further. I could hear the groans coming closer. Something in my stomach said to look behind me and when I did I saw the root arm coming in our direction.
"Down!" I yelled pushing Hyun-su down.
We had just touched the ground when the root hit the wall above our heads. To my surprise, more branches of root came out of it hitting everything around us and making stuff fall on us. One of the roots shot just in between our heads missing us barely. I swallow thickly looking at the branches with widened eyes.
"Where are you?" The roots retracted, hitting more stuff on the way back.
Licking my chapped lips I stood up and crawled to the corner trying to see how far it was. My eyes widened when I saw it coming closer to us. I felt Hyun-su crouching down beside me probably having the same expression on his face. My thoughts were racing to try to find a way to get past it or distract it when Hyun-su threw two little balls from the ground in its direction.
We watch how confused he was about where the noise was coming from, swatting in the air trying to catch something. I wanted to speak up saying that we could sneak past him when Hyun-su jumped up and ran at the monster. For a second I thought that he was abandoning me here until he launched his spear into the monster's back.
I walk closer and hear the monster grunt and groan underneath the noise that the spear is making. Hyun Su had a thought grip on his spear to make sure he would stab the monster hard. After a few seconds, Hyun-su pulled back retracting his spear with him.
The monster fell to the ground with a hard thud sound while letting out some groans and moans. Mr, Han was right. You can't kill them only hurt or stun them for a bit, so you have a chance to run away. Hyun-su was breathing hard when he turned around to face me. His eyes were big like he didn't believe he just did that.
"You okay?" I asked concerned.
He nodded his head before looking back down at the monster. It was still grunting, making little movements.
"L....let's go." He breathed out looking back at me.
I gave him a nod before going in the direction we had to go to get to the kids.
We ran further down a hallway that led to the outside where there was another pair of stairs. With quick steps and even jumping over a step to get faster to the thirteen floors, we finally made it. Walking into a hallway I stopped for a second to see where we needed to go.
"Is there another nearby?" I hear Hyun-su whisper from behind me.
I shook my head no.
"No, I was just looking at which way we needed to go. It's my first time coming from these stairs, so it's a little confusing about where we needed to go." I explain still looking around.
I finally recognized a poster hanging on one of the walls, so I knew where we were.
"This way. Come on!" I began to run hearing his footsteps following me.
We turned two corners before finally coming to the kid's door. We both took deep breaths trying to catch our breaths before we would knock on the door. I knocked on the door hoping not to be too loud so that nothing could hear us. I bite my lip trying to hear something.
They can't be gone right? I don't want to imagine what those monsters would do to those two kids. Hyun-su raised his hand knocking again. We waited in silence again, but there was just nothing. With concerned looking eyes, I look at Hyun-su. He was still trying to hear if something was there.
He knocked again, but this time he said something as well.
"Kids. We're here to help you." His voice was low trying not to be too loud, but that only made it more scary for the kids who were all alone in there.
"Su-Yeong, Yeong-Su? It's me, Mi-na, open the door." I looked at Hyun-su thinking that the worst had happened to them when I heard quick footsteps approach the door.
Not a second later the door swung open and a pair of arms were hugging my lower body.
"Noona!" Yeong-Su cried looking up at me with his big eyes.
I gave him a soft smile caressing his head.
"Let's go inside first. It's much safer there."
The two kids nodded turning back inside. Yeong-Su grabbed my hand tightly dragging me with him. My eyes met Hyun-su's who looked at me with gloomy eyes, before following us inside. The two kids looked at him kind of scared not knowing who he was.
"This is Hyun-su. He's going to help us." The two kids nod their heads before saying hello to him with a bow.
Hyun-su had an uncomfortable smile on his face not really knowing what to do. It was pretty dark inside, so we set up some candles on the floor sitting around them. Su-Yeong made me sit close next to her, while Yeong-Su sat on my lap. Hyun Su took a seat in front of us.
Yeong-Su was the first one to speak up and to my surprise, it was a question for Hyun Su.
"Sir. Please save our dad."
My breath hitched when those words left his mouth.
"What?" Hyun-su asked, not sure what he was asking.
"Dad fell down."
A crushed look came to Hyun-su's face, before looking down.
"I know." He mutters out.
"Maybe he's still...."
Su-Yeong started but was quickly cut off by him.
"Nobody can survive a fall from the twelfth floor."
I hit his knee, giving him a scolding look.
"Seriously?" I mutter out.
The two began to cry quietly holding onto one another.
"Hey, look at me."
They looked up at me with teary-eyed faces.
"There's a man on the fourteen floor." I started.
"He has a lot of food." Hyun-su finished.
The two kids looked up at him.
"You're hungry, aren't you?"
They both nodded their head looking at him.
"You won't stay here by yourselves, will you?" I asked a second later.
This time they shook their heads at me and I could feel their grip tighten on me. I looked at Hyun-su and saw that he had the same anxious look on his face had like me. We had seen what was out there. Hyun-su and I barely made it ourselves, but now we have two kids with us.
"We need to go into the hall where monsters are running wild." He explained to the two terrified kids.
"Are you ready?" I asked them rubbing their arms softly.
Neither of them said anything back.
Hyun-su let out a deep breath before asking.
"How old are you guys?"
"I'm nine years old and my brother is six," Su-Yeong explained to him.
Too young to have to go through things like this.
He gave the two a comforting smile before speaking up.
"Those are perfect ages to fight monsters."
Yeah, imagery monsters, not these.
Also, it was the first time I saw Hyun-su smile. I was so used to his emotionless face that it surprised me to see him with one. His gaze met mine and I quickly looked away, not wanting to be caught staring at him.
I cleared my throat before speaking
"let's go then. The sooner we're there the sooner we can fill these bellies with food." With at the end
Their smiles vanished when they looked behind Hyun-su at the door. He looked behind him before looking back at the kids. His hand went to Yeong-su's shoulder saying.
"Don't worry. We'll protect you two." I nodded my head agreeing with him.
With my arms still wrapped around them I pull them closer to me giving them a little squeeze. Hyun-su tried to not look worried, but it wasn't working. I can't blame him, I have probably the same look on my face as him. The lives of these kids were in our hands, so saying that this was a big responsibility was an understatement.
All of us stood up ready to start our journey back to the fourteenth floor. Hyun-su and I agreed that I should be in the front with him at the end, making sure the kids were safe between us. I took one last breath before opening the door. Just like every other time, I made sure that nothing was there before opening the door completely.
The hall was silent, the only things you could hear were our footsteps and our breaths. We came to the stairs to make our way to Mr. Han. With creaking noise, I open the door mentioning the kids to go inside, with me following behind them.
Instead of hearing the door closing, I heard Hyun-su gasp and groan.
"Stay here," I told the kids making my way back down the few stairs.
When I came around the corner I saw Hyun-su leaning against the door holding his right arm while blood ran down his nose.
"Hyun-su." I breathe out.
He let out a groan while more blood ran down his face.
"Hyun-su? Look at me."
"Stay away from me!"
I shook my head quickly.
I don't like the idea of separating nor do I want to leave him behind like this.
"Hyun....."
I started going closer to him but was quickly cut off by him.
"Take the kids to safety! Go!" He yelled before closing the door on me with a bang.
I put my hand on the door still hearing him groan, because of the pain he was in. I really don't want to leave him, but just like he said I needed to take the kids to safety. I'll bring them to Mr. Han and quickly come back for him.
"Come on kids let's go," I said turning around.
Yeong-su grabbed my hand before we began to make our way up the stairs.

lee eunhyuk x male reader where they're both neohumans/monster humans
hello, okay so this is my first time writing a male reader which explains why it's so short and probably doesn't show much gender... I hope you like it. thank you for requesting him!
summary - you and your best friend are becoming monsters.
the gif I use isn't mine, divider by @newlips (deactivated)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You had been through hell in the last few days, you had hidden the fact that you were showing signs of becoming a monster, watching how everyone reacted especially your best friend Lee Eun-Hyeok. You began to grow distant, giving everyone the cold shoulder because at least then if you did completely turn then it wouldn’t be so hard to kill you.
“Y/n!” Lee Eun-Hyeok calls you, running over to you with his face like stone. “Why have you been ignoring us? What the hell man!” He hits your shoulder and you groan, hitting him back.
“Because…” He stares at you, waiting for your response. “Fine.” You grab his arm, dragging him into the security room that he always spends his time in. “I’m… I’m a monster! Okay?”
He stares at you, shocked for a few seconds before nodding. “Okay.”
“What? Okay? That’s all.”
He nods. “I can’t be mad… I just found out that I’m one too…”
“Shit, I’m sorry! Does your sister know?” Lee Eun-Hyeok shakes his head.
“No, and you won’t tell her either. I have a plan.”
“Well. I’m with you all the way. That’s what friends do, right?”
“Right.” You both stare out, watching the monsters through the cameras, hoping you don’t fully turn into them.

summary: The development of your feelings for Lee Eunhyuk in the middle of an apocalypse, and struggles of leadership.
Green Home Apartment is not a place you would ever allow to crumble.
From the very first hours of the outbreak, people saw a leading figure in you. A seemingly natural instinct to guide people and keep them as safe as possible. Someone strict, just firm enough to keep panicking residents in line and gentle enough to reassure other equally terrified people.
The perfect leader, really. It wasn’t exactly the role you would have wanted had you imagined yourself in this situation prior, but you felt you didn’t really have a say in the matter. You were just a college student, and within a few hours, at least ten people in your apartment building had voiced out their agreement on you being the perfect captain for a broken and sinking ship.
So when this guy with a blue flannel gave off the same impression as you apparently did— enough to convince people he would be a good leader, too— you were mildly relieved. Part of you felt like it was a good thing someone else would take the reins for this whole thing. It was too much pressure for you. But another part didn’t feel at ease. After all, you didn’t know this guy. People trusted him for a reason— He did seem mature, headstrong, and determined. Good with instructions and quick-witted. But you didn’t know if that would be enough to let the people here, or you, at least, survive this.
If you were to survive this in a group, you would need to have some kind of authority when it came to making decisions. Surviving alone was fine, but being stuck with so many people meant certain chaos, attempts at democracy leading to stupid decisions, and your life being stacked between at least twenty others with barely a word to say when they would all eventually be led to sure death. You’d damn near experienced it already, and that was more than enough for you.
So you didn’t step away when Lee Eunhyuk, as you eventually learned his name to be, took the place of a leader. And thankfully, it seemed the residents hadn’t expected you to. So weeks ago, you and Eunhyuk were appointed as leaders of Green Home during the monster apocalypse.
“Going there would be suicide.”
“So you suggest we stay here and wait to die? Do you genuinely think the people in the next room over will be fine with that?”
Leaders who get along perfectly.
“I suggest you use your head a little. There’s resources in much more accessible spaces than this. The store at the side, for example?”
“I’m not sending anyone there.” Eunhyuk states blankly, in his usual emotionless fashion. You narrow your eyes and bite back a scoff.
“Right, I almost forgot it’s about sending out people with you. You’re a coward, you know that?” you say, and he glances at you from the side.
“And you’re just as selfish.” he says, turning to face you properly, “Let’s not pretend you’re any better than I am because you act courageous. You’re terrified.”
“And you’re mistaken. Why don’t you go out there and get to the storage room yourself?”
Eunhyuk’s tongue presses into his cheek and his fingers tightens into a fist. He presses his hand to the table and tilts his head a little, nodding slightly. “We both know without a leading figure this group is done for.” he says, tone much calmer than you’d anticipated. The restraint he has over his anger only serves as fuel to your own. You bite the flesh of your lip.
“Am I not a leading figure?”
“You are, but are you a good one?” he asks. There. There it is, the hint of anger. That cutting edge to his tone. It’s nearly imperceptible but it makes you want to bring out all of it.
“Do you believe I’m not?”
You step closer. He looks down to your feet then back up to meet your gaze. “You’re dodging the question.”
“It’s a weird question to ask.”
You’re close enough to punch him, now, if need be. You won’t. But it’s a good thing to note.
“I don’t think it is, all things considered.”
“Uh,” a meek voice comes from behind you. You turn towards the door to see a man from the group stand with a bottle in hand, moving around uncomfortably, “The others are arguing about rations… You should come.”
You take this as the perfect opportunity to clear your head and not to let your irritation get the better of you. You hum absentmindedly and walk past him to get to the store where you expect everyone to be, leaving the man and a scowling Eunhyuk behind.
“Is- Is something wr—”
“Everything’s fine.”
Everything is wrong.
It’s been less than a day since your argument with Eunhyuk when a new problem enters your life. A guy that looks about your age, that you remember walking past when he moved in, who fell from nine floors high in the stairway. He’s lying on the floor with blood all over and around him. Everyone is scrambling to take a look and Seo Yikyung has to be the one to hold them back, because you and Eunhyuk are too busy checking the supposedly dead man’s pulse for the third time.
“He’s breathing.” you sigh, pulling away your trembling hand from his face again. This is insanity.
“It’s impossible…”
“Get a grip.” you shove Eunhyuk’s shoulder, “Impossible isn’t in our vocabulary right now. Weird as this may be, we can’t just leave him here, so start thinking or I’ll make the decisions.”
He’s shaken out of his thoughts, alright, but now he seems another kind of confused that you can’t bring yourself to try deciphering. He calls your name but you don’t respond.
You don’t exactly look down, but you start to kneel to reach towards the body on the floor. You need to carry him somewhere else, where no one will see how bad it is. There’s kids here and the adults aren’t reliable. You can’t let this cause more trouble.
Your gaze is looking anywhere else but at the corpse— Person. Alive. You almost grab him when Eunhyuk stops you with a hand on your shoulder, effectively causing you to flinch.
“It’s fine. I’ll do it.”
He hoists the limp body up on his back with some effort and holds him tightly so he doesn’t fall. “Tell them to go elsewhere. It’ll only cause issues for them to see more than needed.” he tells you, nodding towards the hallway. The blood that gets on his clothes and the state of the one he carries unsettles you a little, but you nod and hurry outside.
“Go to the daycare.” you say, voice hoarse. Everyone’s chattering does nothing to help you calm down. You’re not sure if they didn’t hear you or if they simply don’t care. “I said go! Right now!” you exclaim, much louder.
The talking silences and everyone reluctantly heads to that place, though clearly still trying to get a glimpse of the situation. You breathe out sharply and stare down at the floor. Your reflection meets you halfway on the tiles, showing you just how little control you currently have on the emotions you usually hide so well. You’ve seen people get killed too many times since this all started but this is was one too many.
You can’t even tell if the stranger’s fall was accidental, if it was suicide, if… You can’t think.
Eunhyuk passes by you and you barely notice. Or rather, you force yourself not to notice.
So much blood.
The sun sets and rises again. Tension does as well.
“We can’t keep on using him.” you say upon stepping into the security office. Eunhyuk is leaning against the desk, eyes trained on the several CCTV screens when you come in, and he seems like he’s about to leave the moment you start talking. You close the door and he gives up. He seems to know there’s no point in trying to leave, now.
“Who?”
“Don’t play dumb. We both know you’re not.”
“High compliments coming from you.”
You sigh and step further into the room. “I’m not in the mood to argue, Lee Eunhyuk. Cha Hyunsu, he… He doesn’t deserve to be treated this way. You know it, too.”
Eunhyuk is silent. You see his thumb tapping against the desk rhythmically, like he’s thinking hard about something.
“Lee Eunhyuk.”
“I heard you.”
“Then say something!” you scream.
Eunhyuk turns to look at you. You take a breath. It’s unlike you to let your anger turn to yelling but you feel hopeless. Cha Hyunsu is just a boy your age trapped in circumstances he never asked for, and forced to do the worst part of the work around Green House. Eunhyuk never wanted to send anyone upstairs, yet he decided to send Hyunsu there. Because he’s a monster? Because he survived a several floors high fall? Because he was doomed to live in-between two kinds of evil, neither of which truly accepts him?
It just feels like it hits you harder today that this world will continue to be this cruel. And you two are not making it any better.
“This is the best way.” Eunhyuk says, unfazed. “The group needs to survive. You said it yourself. Cha Hyunsu’s the best bet we have at getting this result.”
“We saw him die, Eunhyuk.”
“He’s alive. You know that.”
“This is unfair.”
“The world is unfair.”
You look elsewhere, annoyed. Eunhyuk calls your name in the same tone he always does. “Your sympathy is useless.”
“What kind of leaders are we if rid of any compassion?”
“… The kind needed to survive.” he says quietly, gaze cast downwards. “Jisu asked for band-aids. Could you bring them to her for me?”
Anything’s a good enough distraction from whatever spiral you feel yourself falling into.
“Sure.”
Days pass. Your anger subsides.
“But didn’t you say it was okay to go there?”
“No, I didn’t.” Eunhyuk crosses his arms, “Who told you that?”
A name is mentioned in reply.
You sneeze.
“Aye, did you catch a cold?” Eunyu scoffs, laughing smoke at the face you seem to be making. “That’s bad. Catching a cold during an apocalypse? Seriously.”
You and the girl are sitting on the fire escape stairs, on the floor closest to the main hall. She has a habit of disappearing to go smoke, or whatever else she does, and you don’t want her getting killed. She didn’t seem to mind you coming to check up on her the first time, and now you have a habit of disappearing to hang out with her.
“I’m fine.” you click your tongue, “Anyways, you shouldn’t be smoking out there. If your brother was here he’d be pissed.”
“Who cares? Let’s not act like he ever shows it.”
You roll your eyes a little and chuckle. “Sure.” you hum, “Still. What’s the point in smoking? During an apocalypse, too? That’s bad.”
She flips you off and you return the gesture, earning a laugh in return. You don’t talk to many people in this place. Your age differs from nearly everyone. Eunyu’s a bit younger, so you’re mostly watching over her. Then there’s Hyunsu, but there’s a nearly visible wall between him and everyone. You can’t blame him for putting distance between you two especially. As far as he’s concerned, you’re also responsible for the errand-running he’s been told to do.
There’s Yikyung, but you’ve struggled to get close since you told her to shove off when she had Eunhyuk pinned to a wall. You’re not sure why you did that, even now. She’d be better company than him, maybe. And you understand her reasons.
Then there’s Eunhyuk.
“Serious talk, listen up.” Eunhyu huffs, “What relationship do you entertain with my brother?” she mimics a serious sounding voice that’s so unlike her. It makes you scoff in amusement.
“He’s a…” You trail off. What is he? A friend? An acquaintance? Whatever could be considered a coworker, at the moment? A fellow leader? “Uh, a person.”
Eunyu gives you this look that is so clearly judgemental that you consider jumping off the railing promptly.
“Yeah, no shit. Good to know he’s not turning.” she scoffs, “I know you hate him. Spit it out.”
“I don’t recall ever feeling that way.” you lie with an obviously fake smile. Eunyu threatens to throw her lighter at you. “He’s fine, alright? We just work together, I guess.”
“He likes you.”
“Hm?”
“He doesn’t hate you, I mean. You’re not stupid, so you noticed, right?” she says before bringing the cigarette to her lips again. You’re confused and it must show because she sighs in annoyance. “Clearly, I’d say the real leader is you out of you two. Aren’t most decisions yours?”
“They’re ours. Mostly his. Trust me, my opinion isn’t as valued as you might believe.”
Her expression suddenly sours and she curses under her breath. “And I think you’re wrong. Anyways, I’ll leave you with the jerk.” she coughs, pushing herself off of the stairs, “Bye.”
You hum curiously as you watch her leave before turning around. Lee Eunhyuk. Of course.
The first thing he does is shove your shoulder.
“What the hell?” you scoff, scrambling up to your feet before you can lose your balance. It’s such an unexpected move from him that you can’t help the words that slip past your lips. “What’s your deal?”
“Returning the gesture. What’s yours?”
“Huh?”
“The gate to the store alley. I said it should stay closed.” he says, “So why are three people on their way back from there telling me I allowed it?”
“Because I allowed it.” you say casually. “It had medicine, water, and some canned foods. Besides, we needed fresh air.”
He stays silent for at least half a minute before he steps closer to you. Close enough for your hands to touch if your arms were to move an inch. “It’s not safe. I said so enough, didn’t I?”
“Have you ever cared about safety?”
“I have—”
“About the people’s, about the half-monsters’s, about yours?”
Your name sounds tense when he says it.
“About mine?”
“Do you ever stop talking?” he grits his teeth. His eye twitches. You wouldn’t have noticed it had you been further away. No, you… you would have. You know his every feature and emotions too well by now. You would realize the most unnoticeable of changes from him. Any of them.
He’s angry.
There.
“Does that piss you off? That I talk so much?” you say, “Is it a problem because you never do? Does hearing someone so much get on your nerves? Should I leave the leading you? Are your decisions supreme? Am I too talkative? Is that it? Is that it?”
He kisses— He almost kisses you. He stops short of pressing his lips against yours, short of holding your collar and bringing it up to meet his chest, short of everything you only now realized would’ve been so good to have.
For fuck’s sake. “You’re holding back.”
“There’s no point in causing unnecessary fights.”
“You’re a coward.”
“You—”
You tilt your head, like you want him to finish his sentence. You do. He’s realized this much.
He takes a breath to calm down and steps back, much to your dismay.
“I know why you used to be so self-centered.”
“That’s…” you trail off, before laughing in disbelief. “What?”
“You almost got killed at the alley to the store, the one you just allowed to be opened. First day of the apocalypse. I remember it. You looked terrified. Then you put your survival above anyone else’s.” he says, “And yet now, you keep on trying to go. That’s something I don’t understand.”
You swallow, images of that monster nearly killing you with its claws, and dragging away a bloodied, dismembered corpse when it failed to find you. The feeling of someone pulling you back into the shadow so you wouldn’t get noticed, and the chaos that ensued in the main hall so quickly that you never got to see who it was.
… Wait?
“That was you.”
“It doesn’t matter who it was. You changed.” he cuts off any questions you might have, “You used to be selfish. People falsely believed you were a good leader just because you seemed strong. But you didn’t care about anyone’s lives except yours.”
“… So what? What changed?” you ask quietly, “Did you fall for it, too? Because I’m still the same, as far as I’m concerned.”
“You don’t get it.”
“I do—“
“The you I first talked to in the security room would’ve never went out of their way to make sure some high-schooler is doing fine. They wouldn’t have been this upset over a random half-monster running errands. You would have been unbothered. And that store you seem so obsessed with would’ve been emptied of the basics before anyone could get them. But it was full, wasn’t it? The store was untouched.”
You’re not sure what to say. Where is he going with this?
“Fine.” you settle with that. “Let’s say that, somehow, you’re right. Then should we talk about you? That you changed, too?”
“This isn’t about me.”
“You never talk this much. Why are you so obsessed with this?”
“… I just wanted you to know.” he says, but it sounds like he’s withholding another response. “It didn’t feel right for me not to tell you I knew about what happened after all this time. Also I need you to come back now. People are gonna crowd the store too much for it to be left without any rules.”
You look away. Decide. Look back at him. “Fine.”
Lives come and go. The obvious is ignored.
A lot of guns were pointed at a lot of people’s heads today. You’re unsure why the image of Eunhyuk stuck to the floor with a gun pointed to his forehead is stuck in your mind so much. It keeps rewinding— Reminding you that you were both helpless there, that you got lucky he even survived it all.
There’s so much blood everywhere.
Someone says your full name, with a tone much too casual to match what seemed to be politeness and with such ease that it can only be one person. He grabs your arms and tries to catch your gaze. “Are you okay?”
“Are you crazy?” you whisper, looking at him. He looks like a mess. “You almost got killed, Eunhyuk.”
“So did you. Don’t downplay it.” he argues. You expect his grip to loosen now that he’s seen you’re alright enough to talk but it only seems to tighten, “We have a few minutes to get it together before we have to go back to the usual. So be honest for once.”
Being honest…
You look at him, and your eyes are burning. “Fuck, Eunhyuk, I don’t know why I’m this scared.” you cough out, hands tensing at your sides.
He carries something gentler in his gaze, something you’re unfamiliar with. His hand drops to your wrist and he squeezes it. “Breathe.” he says, and you try, but it’s like you’re struggling to get the air in and out of your lungs. It’s burning, too. Why?… You’re panicking. That’s why. Your breaths come out short and that uneasiness who loves to get in the way of your thoughts is back. You can’t do anything, right now— you wouldn’t be able to get anyone to survive, let alone yourself.
Eunhyuk’s hand grabs your hastily and he brings it to his chest. “Slow down. Just breathe. That’s all that matters, right now.”
“Are you breathing?”
“I am. I need both of us to be. So listen to me.”
“Yeah.”
And just like a doctor would, he guides you to something calmer. Your gazes are locked the whole time. He insisted. Don’t look anywhere else, he said, just me. He helps you remember how to breathe again, helps you remember how to think, and helps you remember you have a lot to do immediately.
“We need to go.” you say, back to the closest thing to normal you could manage. “Hyunsu’s gone. Did anyone get shot? You should—”
“You should go grab the medkits. The ones in the nursery. Bring them here. I’ll take care of it.”
You don’t argue. “Okay.
Ah!” — But you nearly lose your footing. You hear Eunhyuk breathe out something that almost sounds like a laugh and turn around to glare.
“You’ll be lightheaded for a bit. Be careful.”
“Oh, yeah, okay.” you scoff. You hear Eunyu yell something along the lines of ‘It’ll be fine, so stop looking and get to work—‘ but you’re too far away to catch all of it.
The skies darken before the light comes back again. Things are eerily quiet.
When leadership becomes worthless, it’s hard to keep a proper sense of identity. Everyone has seen you and Eunhyuk as their leaders for a long while now. But since Jung Uimyeong’s arrival and the clear impact he’s had on the group’s dearest Cha Hyunsu, the atmosphere has suffered a drastic change. It feels tense for everyone but the newfound duo. It’s suffocating.
But instincts remain the same. Survival is key, and that means gathering information is, as well. You need to get what Uimyeong’s plan is before it escalates, but you know he would have no interest in talking to you.
So Hyunsu, it is.
“You don’t trust me.”
“But I do! I’ve always trusted you, Hyunsu.”
The latter keeps on walking and you have to jog to catch up. This is ridiculous, how could he allow a stranger to change him so much? Did he convince him the people here were the real enemy? You wouldn’t be surprised. Still…
“Just stop and have an actual conversation with me.” you scoff.
He does just that, stops in his tracks, and you nearly run into him. He turns around slowly to look at you. Hyunsu’s expression is usually devoid of emotion but now it’s just cold. “I don’t want to talk to you. Everything you say’s a lie. You don’t trust anyone here. I’ll say good luck to the people who still think you’re a good leader.”
“Isn’t that too much?” Eunhyuk. “Especially since you know it’s not true. Or were you influenced by that guy so easily?”
Hyunsu glances at him, then back at you, before directing his glare to Eunhyuk again. “Find someone else to run your errands. I’m tired of it.”
“That’s not—”
“Leave him be.” Eunhyuk says as Hyunsu walks away. You sigh and rub your temples. This isn’t good. “There’s no point in trying to reason with him now.”
“So what, we don’t do anything? Leave things as they are?”
“We do.”
You sigh and turn around to let your head drop on his shoulder. Eunhyuk brings his hand to the back of your head and leaves it there. You’re not sure how or why this change happened between the two of you after the shootout, but neither of you mention it. It might be for the best.
“I’m tired.” you mumble.
“You should get some rest.” he says quietly, “There isn’t much to take care of, right now. You should be able to sleep for a bit.”
“How long is a bit?”
“Until I wake you, approximately.”
“… Fine by me.”
The sun sets—
“Wake up.”
“Hmm…?” you force yourself to open your eyes and look up. God, the world’s blurry. “What?”
“Switch. I need to rest for a bit.”
You nod lazily and sit up on the bed, making space for him to sit. He settles at your side and turns to look at you. “Look here.” he says (demands) with a hand on your jaw. You turn and feel like he’s scrutinizing your face. “Any injuries?”
“Not anything new, no.” you say, “You?”
“The same.” he sighs, dropping his hand. It’s your turn to touch his face. You hold the side of it in your hand and let your thumb graze the skin under his eye. His glasses are good to hide his eyes, you think. But you’re always close enough to see them. After the shooting, you remember something, despite the state you were in.
“You cried.” you say. He hums inquisitively at that. “When those guys barged in and stuff. When you came back after going with them, you looked like you’d been crying.”
“Not really. I was just upset.”
“Because?”
“Is there not enough reasons to be upset in this place?” he deadpans, and scoffs silently when you give him a look. “I couldn’t save Ms. An. I watched her get shot.”
You have half a mind to hold back from squeezing his head to death. “And you didn’t think it worth mentioning? That’s bad, Eunhyuk.”
“I’ve… Seen worse.”
“That’s stupid.”
“You’re stupid.”
You look at him with wide eyes. “Take it back.”
“Or else?” he asks. Oh. Oh. He’s teasing you. What the hell? This is new. Your hand drops to grab his collar. You get deja-vu. Something similar happened before. He looks down at your hand then back up at you.
“You really want to find out, do you?”
There’s something in the air. Something you would’ve usually described as tension, but it almost feels comfortable. You know Eunhyuk well yet you can’t tell what’ll happen next. You could guess, though. Each word and touch means more now than it used to.
(Maybe they always meant something, maybe you just chose to ignore it.)
He stares at you for a few seconds then tilts his head to the side, expression unreadable. “I do.”
Your fingers tighten around his collar and he smiles. His hand comes up to wrap around your wrist, slowly pulling it away from him. “Hey…?”
“But I don’t think I’ll find out about anything. You’re a liar, after all. And a coward, just like me.” he says, all whilst gently pushing you to lay on the mattress. He does it so naturally it takes you a moment to realize. He hovers over you with your wrist still in hand. “Is that fine with you?”
“You insulting me or you pinning me down?”
“You decide.” he sighs, pressing your wrist down gently next to your head, “Would I be wrong to assume you don’t really mind either of those?”
You decide to shut him up instead. He takes it well.
“You taste a bit bloody.”
“Deal with it.”
