Random thoughts while sitting in a German Laundromat

IKEA bags are by far the most common way to transport laundry

The dryer didn’t dry everything on the first pass.

I wish I didn’t forget my headphones.

The central pay terminal is nice, especially since you can also pay for detergent at the same time.

Lots of folks do laundry in the middle of the day. It’s 3pm on a Monday at at one point every dryer was in use.

I like the idea that it is cheaper earlier in the day as a way to encourage folks to come early even if that would never work for me.

I think this is just as expensive as wash and fold is in NYC but I have to fold it myself.

At the laundry mat and it’s the worst.

The floor is covered in grime. There’s stains on the ceiling. All I can think is I don’t want to be here.

Yet, I remember being kid at laundry mat. It was boring sure, but I don’t think it ever felt this bad.
