You sat in your little office at the news station of Jericho, finger hovering over the mouse of your computer. You were hesitating. The cursor sat neatly atop the ‘send’ button, ready to send your email to its recipient. But you hesitated. Why? You didn’t know.
It’s true that it was frowned upon to interact with the outcasts, but you just couldn’t believe that they were as terrible as everyone said they were. You have seen them plenty of times strolling through the little city, shopping and stopping by the Weathervane for a drink. None of them ever seemed malicious or evil to you. With a deep inhale, you pressed send and quickly shut your computer off. There's no going back now.
The next day at the office, you were surprised to find that the Headmistress of Nevermore Academy, Larissa Weems, has replied. With a nervous breath, you opened the email:
Dear Miss Y/l/n,
I am pleasantly surprised about learning of your interest in outcasts, my students and the school in general. There are, however, a few things I would like to clarify first.
Now, if I understood correctly, you wish to catch a glimpse into the life of an outcast to then create a report about our differences and similarities with non-outcasts?
Because of the nature of this request, I have to let you know that I will not tolerate any sort of mockery or bad-mouthing of my students or my school.
You will have to follow our rules, outcast or not.
I won’t allow you to follow one of my students around, as this would pose a serious safety hazard for my students and yourself.
However, you are very welcome to settle yourself into my office and follow me around for however many days you deem necessary.
If this is alright with you, I would be willing to meet you coming Monday at the Weathervane and take you to the Academy.
Sincerely,
Larissa Weems
You released the breath you were holding and smiled to yourself. You replied to Miss Weems, agreeing to her terms and wishing her a wonderful weekend.
The following two hours consisted of preparing everything you needed for your report: a few notepads and notebooks, your laptop, a tablet, your camera and some pens. You couldn't help but feel nervous at the prospect of having the opportunity to report about the outcasts. This was not a subject anyone had ever really done research on, and you were adamant to figure out why everyone seemed so fearful of a bunch of teenagers in a school in the woods.
Over the weekend, you exchanged a few more emails with the Principal, clearing up any last logistical problems you’ve had.
You asked if you were allowed to stay for a week, to which she replied that it would be no problem if you agreed to stay in one of the empty studios that were meant for teachers at Nevermore.
Of course, you agreed.
Monday rolled around, and you were standing in front of the Weathervane, waiting for the Principal of Nevermore to pick you up. You have heard descriptions of her, and you knew she frequented the little Café a lot, yet you have never seen her in person before. Absentmindedly, you sipped on your hot chocolate, typing something on your phone, when suddenly:
“Miss Y/l/n I presume?” A soft voice with a wonderful British accent sounded from beside you. You turned your head to be met with a beige coat. Having to look up you finally made eye contact with the woman whose beautiful voice ripped you out of your thoughts.
You smiled up at her, nervousness flooding your chest as you took in the beauty of the woman in front of you.
“Principal Weems. It’s a pleasure to meet you!” you said quietly, nerves completely taking over your logical mind and body. You reached your hand out to shake hers. She took her beige glove off, and took your hand in hers. Her hand was soft, warm and wrapped perfectly around yours. Perfectly manicured red nails decorated her pale skin.
“Likewise!” She smiled down at you and removed her hand, putting her glove on again, and you immediately missed the feeling of her hand on yours.
“Are you ready for us to leave, Miss Y/l/n?”
“Oh… yes, of course!” You grabbed your bag with your equipment and personal items and followed her to her car. You set your luggage in the boot and sat in the passenger seat. Larissa sat in the driver's seat and started driving towards the Academy. After some silence, you spoke up again.
“Thank you so much for letting me stay at the Academy for a week.” Larissa smiled to herself and quickly glanced over at you before eyeing the road again.
“I should thank you. My students usually don’t get this sort of… exposure to the outside world. We are used to people avoiding us because of… fear or discrimination… whatever you want to call it.” Her tone shifted to a quieter and more serious one, her hands gripping the steering wheel just a little tighter. You sensed a shift in energy and gave her a reassuring smile.
“I believe everyone deserves a chance to be understood and seen.” You replied, and that seemed to relax the headmistress. She shot you a thankful smile, then focused back on the road, the rest of the ride being spent in comfortable silence.
Once at Nevermore, Larissa showed you around the grounds, having one of the teachers carry your possessions to the on-campus studio flat, which will be your new home for the following week.
Roaming the halls, it didn’t seem much different than a school for regular humans (besides it being incredibly fancy, of course) and you found that the students seemed like sweet kids. Truly, you couldn’t understand how there was so much hatred and fear surrounding these kids.
Larissa led you to her office, offering you a separate desk to work on. You set your laptop bag on the desk and turned to look at the headmistress, who was standing next to her desk.
“Now, Miss Y/l/n, you are free to follow me around the Academy whenever you want, but I trust you understand why I wouldn’t want you roaming the halls on your own.” She looked at you with a raised eyebrow.
“Of course, Miss Weems!” you reassured her quickly. “I understand how important it is for you to protect these kids… but I can assure you there are no ill intentions by me being here! After what I’ve seen thus far, I cannot believe why anyone would be fearful of outcasts. This is why I’m here. I don’t believe that these kids are as dangerous as everyone in Jericho, let alone the rest of the world, believes them to be.” You looked at her, and there was a slight shift of emotion on her face. Hope? Distrust? Surprise? You didn't know. After a few seconds of silence, the headmistress spoke up again.
“Very well,” she said, grinning at you with her million-dollar-winning smile. “If you ever feel like you would like to see more of the school or learn about its history, don’t be afraid to ask.” Her smile softened slightly. She seemed very fond of her students and her Academy. It truly warmed your heart, and you couldn't help but blush slightly. With a slight nod, you thanked her and sat down, getting your things ready to start your research.
Every now and then throughout the morning, you caught yourself glancing over at the tall woman. She sat in perfect posture, working on her laptop and typing away on some emails or documents. You didn’t realise how long you had been staring at her. The way her eyes flicked over the screen and the way she swiftly moved her fingers over the keyboard had you in a trance-like state. Her perfectly painted red lip curled up on the side, and she raised one of her eyebrows.
“Has no one taught you that staring is rude?” Her eyes flicked over to yours, and you quickly averted your eyes back on your own screen, mumbling a quiet ‘sorry’ her way. Your face felt hot, and you knew you were blushing, hard. Larissa chuckled and shook her head a bit in amusement. She stopped her typing and leaned back against the seat, turning to look at you, studying you as if she were… considering you. Shyly, you moved your gaze back to her.
“Would you like to have a look at one of the classes? Our subjects can vary drastically from the ones in your schools.” she smiled at you and tilted her head slightly.
“I-I would appreciate that, yes.” You answered, nodding, and quickly moved to grab your notepad and pen. When you looked back up, Larissa was already standing and walking towards the door of her office, only stopping to wait for you to catch up.
This morning, the headmistress took you to several classes, telling you about all the different subjects they have. You eagerly took notes, asking questions and listening intently to subjects you’d never heard of. Magic, transformation, siren song, etc. You were fascinated, and that didn’t get lost on Larissa. The longer she watched you, the more fond she grew of you. Your interest and amazement made her heart swell with pride for her school and her students. Even though she was rather careful of what to show you, she felt that this might be the biggest step ever made for outcasts to be accepted into everyday normie lives.
The day went by way faster than you would have wished for it. You have learned so much and were eager to learn even more. Larissa had taken her time explaining their school system to you and while you saw drastic differences, it still didn’t feel too out of the norm. There was one particular student that caught your eye. A rebel, you thought, someone who likes to prank and go against the rules. Those exist in every school, of course, but this girl seemed different. She did it with such nonchalance and elegance that it was almost invisible to the untrained eye.
After asking the headmistress, she told you about the student. Not much, just enough to answer your questions. Larissa seemed tense so you decided to change the subject, asking her about her own time at the school, and from then on the two of you got completely lost in conversation. Hours passed, and you shared your school experiences and collectively decided that they weren't all too different. With a heavy sigh, you leaned against the couch and watched Larissa refill yours and her wine glass.
“I have to be honest, even after just one day I have seen enough to tell you that this,” you waved your hand around, “is definitely nothing to be afraid or weary of. I mean… I always knew that the other… “normies”... are being way too sensitive when it comes to this place and its students but seeing it for myself… I simply can’t understand why there's so much hate and fear towards these poor students.” You sighed and took a sip of wine. “I mean… they're just kids aren't they?” You glanced up at the headmistress to see her smiling at you softly, humming in agreement.
“I have to be honest, Miss Y/l/n-”
“Y/n! You can call me Y/n if you want to,” you interrupted her with a smile, looking back into your glass as you felt your face blush.
“Y/n… I am surprised and… relieved.” She smiled sweetly at you then looked into the fireplace, a sad expression crossing her face. “I wish more people could see the kids for who they are instead of for what they are.” A sigh left her lips and she took a sip of wine. “It’s not easy being… different… an outcast. You can try all you want, there will always be a hint of fear and doubt in non-outcasts.” She turned to look at you, her icy blues piercing yours. “Are you afraid, Y/n?” she asked, quietly, almost inaudible, but you caught the slight shiver in her voice. It broke your heart to see her like this. You didn’t really know that woman except for what she was willing to tell you, but you knew, without a doubt, that she was the most precious being on the entire planet, and you would move planets just to see her at peace. Without really thinking about it, you set your glass down and moved to hold one of her hands.
“Miss Weems… Larissa… if I may?” you started, gently, and she nodded at you, “I do not claim to know what you and your students have to go through, day by day. Being villainized, misunderstood and what not. But what I do know is that I want to help you make a difference. The kids are nothing but kids… Powers and mutations aside… No matter how different you may seem from me, you are still a person. You don’t deserve to be treated like they treat you… all of you.” You smiled at her with a caring expression on your face and gently squeezed her hand. Larissa looked at you, eyes trained on your face, searching for lies, but she couldn't find any. She inhaled shakily and took a big sip of her wine then squeezed your hands back.
“Thank you,” was all she replied. You didn’t need more. You knew she meant it. You felt it. With a last gentle squeeze, you let go of her hand, grabbing your glass again.
“To my… to our project!” you smirked and raised your glass to her. She chuckled and shook her head slightly, looking back at you endearingly and raised her glass as well.
“To our project.”
As the week went on, Larissa and you started to develop a little routine. You would meet her in the morning to go to the Weathervane and get some breakfast to-go, spend the morning in her office or with a teacher of her choice (mostly Marilyn Thornhill), have lunch with her and the teachers, writing and researching in Larissas office, a dinner with staff and at the end of the day, a glass (or sometimes a bottle) of her favourite wine on the couch in front of the fireplace. Being around Larissa was incredibly easy. You loved talking to her, listening to her, discussing topics other than schools and outcasts. You felt safe, comfortable… you felt at home. And you weren’t the only one who felt this way. Larissa would catch herself, more than she’d like to admit, looking at you, watching you with adoration as you wrote and researched. She liked you. It wasn't a secret. She loved being around you and was looking forward to the evenings at the fireplace. A refreshing difference she desperately needed. Larissa had grown very fond of you, and she hoped you felt the same.
When Friday evening rolled around you were already sitting on the couch in Larissa’s office, waiting for her to come back with the wine as it suddenly hit you. It was already Friday… you’ll be leaving again on Monday. You’ll have to go back to your office and finish the report. Would you be able to see her again? Could you stay in contact? Larissa entered, placing the bottle and glasses on the table then saw the light crease between your brows as you stared into the flames of the fireplace, obviously deep in thought.
“Y/n?” she asked softly, and laid her hand on your shoulder, and you snapped your head towards her, not having heard her appear next to you. “Are you alright dear?”
“Yeah!..yeah.” You smiled up at her, watching her sit down next to you and opening the wine bottle. “I’ve just realised that it’s already Friday… The week really went by in a flash, huh?” You took the wineglass she held out to you and looked at it, swishing the red liquid around absent-mindedly. Larissa’s heart constricted seeing you like this.
“It did! But… as upsetting as it is, I am glad to see that you enjoyed your week here!” She took a sip of her wine and watched you closely. “That being said, seeing how my students seemed to like you being around,” and I, she thought, “you are more than welcome to return whenever you feel like it.” She watched you closely, seeing your eyes light up made her feel warm and content.
“I would love that Larissa. Thank you! And you are always welcome at the news station. I’ll make sure the others behave, don't worry.” you giggled and winked at her which pulled a small laugh from her lips and she shook her head amusedly. “I mean it!” You smiled as you snuggled into the couch and took a sip of wine, humming as the liquid hit your tongue, “If any of your students ever wants to know more about journalism or is interested in it, let me know. Matter of fact…” you sat up and straightened your back, holding your hand out to the blonde, “give me your phone I’ll give you my number so you can just let me know in case there is something.”
Larissa hesitated. She looked at your hand for a second, then smiled shyly and grabbed her phone, unlocking it and handing it to you to type in your number. She watched fondly as you typed your number in her phone. A slight tingle spread from her chest over her body as she took her phone back after you’ve saved your number.
“Thank you!” she said quietly, “I- really do appreciate it… everything you do. For us. Me and the students.” A soft pink colour kissed her cheeks and she gave you a truly heartfelt smile. You smiled back at her, butterflies spreading through your whole body. Her smile was the most beautiful thing you have ever seen. You knew right there, she had you wrapped around her finger. You have fallen.
You were able to finish your report on the last day of your stay in Nevermore, handing it in to be reviewed by your boss so it could be printed and released asap. With a heavy sigh, you leaned back into the chair, stretching your arms and back. Larissa smiled over at you and set her paperwork aside.
“I take it you’ve just handed in your story to be reviewed?” she asked with a gentle smile. Her eyes held a hint of sadness at the realisation that her office would be empty once again. You smiled over at her and nodded gently.
“Yes! Just handed it in! If everything goes well, you’ll be able to read it on Tuesday! And Larissa… thank you again… for everything!”
The blonde stood up, walking over to your side, and placed her hand on your shoulder, squeezing it gently.
“I should thank you. This… means way more to us than you could ever imagine!” Her smile was warm, eyes soft. You felt a shudder rush down your spine as you realised that you haven’t seen her this soft with anyone but you. All of this vulnerable affection was only directed towards you, only to be seen by your eyes.
You wanted to tell her… tell her that you like her. Tell her that she is the most beautiful woman you’ve ever had the pleasure to lay your eyes on. Just as you were about to open your mouth, she pulled away.
“If you want to, I can drive you back. I could drop you off at the Weathervane or.. At your place, if you prefer?” Larissa spoke, closing her laptop and putting her paperwork into a drawer. The headmistress didn’t want you to go, but she knew that if she would let you stay longer, she wouldn't be able to hold herself back. Certainly you wouldn’t feel the same… right?
“That.. that would be nice! Thank you!” you replied, feeling defeated. Maybe it was better to keep your feelings to yourself. Who knows, maybe she wasn’t interested in women.. Or simply normies. You took a deep breath, collecting your things and going to your room to pack the last few things. When you returned to the headmistress’ office, she was already waiting for you.
The drive back to Jericho was rather quiet. Neither of you knew what to say to the other. You wanted to tell her everything, pour your heart out to her and so did she, but you stayed quiet. Once you arrived at your Flat Complex, Larissa turned to you.
“It was really nice having you at Nevermore. Again, thank you for doing this for us. And… If you should ever want to come and visit, you are more than welcome to do so! I am sure the Students would love to see you again sometime.” and herself… but she didn't say that.  You gave her a genuine smile, nodding slightly.
“I enjoyed my week there! You truly have wonderful students. And, I mean, you have my number so… if you or any of the kids should ever need something, just feel free to contact me!” You hoped she would contact you, but only time could tell.
It has been a month since you’ve last heard from Larissa. Your article got approved, and she complimented you on it, thanking you again profusely. That was the last, and only, time you’ve heard of her after staying at Nevermore. Sure, she was a busy woman, but you couldn’t help but feel upset. And you wouldn’t text her first, no. The anxiety that arose in you every time you tried to do so was enough to completely freeze you. So when you walked into the Weathervane on a Thursday morning to grab a coffee, you were more than delighted to see her there, quickly walking up to her.
“Good morning, Principal Weems” you said softly, watching her turn around and seeing her eyes light up as she saw you.
“Good morning Y/N!” she replied with a smile. That darn beautiful smile of hers. “Are you also here to grab some breakfast before work?” she asked, turning fully to you, all herattention focused on you, your face, those eyes she came to admire over the time you’ve spent at her school.
“I am but.. Uhm… if you’re not in a hurry, would you like to have breakfast with me?” you did it, you asked her. The second the question left your lips, you felt your cheeks heat up. Larissa looked at you with adoration and nodded.
“I would love to, actually!” She smiled and tilted her head slightly. She noticed your blush and couldn’t help but feel giddy about it. Was she the reason you blushed?
“Wonderful! What do you want? It’s my treat!” You smile, feeling a bit more confident now, seeing her soft and happy gaze directed only at you.
“Oh, you really don’t have to-”
“But I want to!”
Larissa sighed, shaking her head slightly with a grin, and chuckled at how adamant you were.
“Fine. Next time, it’s my treat!” She gave you her order and went to sit at a booth, waiting for you to join her. You couldn’t believe your ears. Next time? There will be a next time? The smile that spread on your lips could only be described as the smile of a happy fool. Truly, you were a fool. A fool for her.
After you’ve ordered and paid for your coffees and pastries, you made your way over to her, slipping into the booth.
“So… how have you been? How have the kids been?” you asked, trying to make small talk. You felt so awkward, but that feeling quickly washed away as you saw Larissa’s soft smile.
“Very well! Your report had quite the impact on how people from Jericho treat my students. I just wanted to thank you again. The effect this has had on our lives is way greater than I could have hoped for. The article… your words… truly left an impact.” She reached her hand out, grabbing yours and squeezing it lightly.
“Thank you!”
Your smile grew tenfold, and you squeezed her hand back.
“I am so happy to hear that this has worked out so well for you and your students.” You shyly pulled your hand back and thanked the waiter when he placed your drinks and pastries in front of you.
“How have you been y/n?” Larissa asked. She was looking at you… into you… into your soul with those beautiful ice-y blue eyes. You felt your cheeks heat up and grabbed your cup as well, trying to ground yourself.
“I’ve been well! The Article has caught a lot of attention, so I’ve been rather busy lately…” You smiled at her and took a sip as she watched.
“Though I do have to say, I miss being around the kids…” and around you, you thought to yourself. The blonde eyed you over her coffee mug and smiled sweetly.
“In that case, would you like to come to the Rave’N this weekend?” She did it… she asked you. Her heart was beating like crazy but seeing the light blush covering your face she couldn't help but feel proud of herself.
“The Rave’N? Really?” You asked, not believing your ears. Larissa nodded and tilted her head.
“Yes really! Our theme this year is ‘Climate crisis meets extinction effect’ and the dress code is white.” She took a bite of her pastry and smiled at you. You thought for a second. You didn’t have any white outfits, so you’d definitely have to buy one, but you’d be damned if you wouldn’t agree to her invitation.
“In that case, I’d love to!” The smile you gave her made Larissa’s heart melt. How were you so precious? She nodded slightly.
“I’ll have Marilyn pick you up here at around 5:30pm on Saturday. The students will be excited to see you again!” She finished her coffee and snack and stood up.
“I’d love to stay longer, but I have to get back to Nevermore… I’ll see you this Saturday, dear.” and with that, she left your flustered self in the Weathervane.
Shopping for an appropriate but also impressive garment was not easy. You currently had 2 dresses in front of you and couldn’t decide which one to pick. One was made of silk and rather simple but had an extravagant high slit up your right thigh and a very low back, whereas the other covered more of your back and arms but was a bit shorter with a princess gown puff skirt. You sighed and decided to put them on again, took a picture of you wearing them and sent them to Marilyn. You and her had gotten rather close during the week you spent at Nevermore, and you’d kept contact even afterwards. She was such a sweetheart, but she was also a pain in the ass as she has been nagging you about your outfit all afternoon already.
It didn’t take long for you to be flooded with messages of Marilyn going crazy over the silk dress.
Marilyn:
“Oh, you SO have to get the silky one! Larissa won’t be able to keep her eyes off of you”
Y/N:
“What do you mean? Why would you say that?”
Marilyn:
“Oh come ooooon… It is SOOOOOOO obvious that you have the hots for her… just pick the silk one.”
You were sure Marilyn would laugh at you if she could see you right now. Your face was bright red because you’d been found out. Was it really that obvious? Did Larissa know? Was that why she invited you? Could she... no. No, that probably wasn’t the case... Just wishful thinking. With a sigh you looked back on your phone.
Y/N:
“Fine. I’ll get the silk one. But just because you picked it 😛”
You got dressed again and went to buy the garment.
Once back at home, you took your time to look for hair and makeup inspiration to complete your look and be ready for Saturday. Marilyn and you had been texting back and forth all day, and she’d helped you pick the perfect hairstyle and makeup for the Rave’N.
You were nervous… of course you were, but there was this little glimmer of hope starting to take hold within you. Maybe Larissa really did like you.
You were waiting in front of the Weathervane for Marilyn to come and pick you up.
Were you nervous? Absolutely!
Were you excited? Definitely!
But you couldn’t help and worry… worry about… you were actually not sure. Your nerves were getting the better of you and there was nothing that could be done against it. Not that you haven’t tried… you definitely did! You went through every trick in the book.
Breathing exercise? No effect.
Meditation? Nothing.
A tea? That just made you worried that you would spill it on your dress, so that wasn’t helping at all.
So you just stood there… waiting.
“Hey! You good?” you suddenly heard someone call out to you and released a sigh.
“Marilyn! Hey!” You smiled at your friend and got into the car, leaning over to give her a hug.
“Not really… my nerves are taking over right now.” You groaned.
“You’re just making yourself crazy over nothing! Relax! You’ll be fine!” she smirked and turned her gaze back onto the road, starting towards Nevermore.
“You look amazing by the way!”
You chuckled and looked out of the window. You did look nice… it also took you forever to get ready. You had braided some hair along the sides of your head and pulled everything up into a fluffy space bun, which you decorated with some crystal pins. Your makeup was soft, in nude colours, with a soft peach lip and some sparkly eyeshadow on your eyelids. The dress fit perfectly and hugged every curve of your body, and you had found the perfect off-white heels in your closet.
“Thank you! Wouldn’t have managed to pull this off without you!” You smile and look over at the redhead. Marilyn was grinning to herself.
“If you two hook up, I deserve to be invited to dinner by you!” Your shocked gasp caused her to laugh out loud.
“Oh come on! I know you want her… and to be quite honest…” She raised an eyebrow and glanced over at you with a mischievous smirk. “I think the feelings are mutual.”
The blush that spread on your face was all Marilyn needed to know she was right.
“You’ll see! She’ll be absolutely smitten with you looking like this.”
“We’ll see…” you reply, watching the scenery outside.
Marilyn parked the car and ran around to open the door for you with a dramatic bow.
“M’lady.” she chuckled, and you rolled your eyes amusedly as you got out of the car.
“You’re an idiot!”
The teacher smirked and moved to hold her arm out for you to hold. She led you into the building and guided you towards the great hall.
You weren’t expecting to be swarmed by students the second you entered the ballroom.
“Hi Y/N! What are you doing here?”
“You look gorgeous! Who invited you?”
“It’s so nice you’re back! Come! Let's go dance!”
“Do you want something to drink? I’ll get you some punch!”
You were being surrounded and swarmed by the students, and it warmed your heart to see how excited they were by your presence. Marilyn slipped away from you without you noticing, the second she realised someone was walking up to the newly formed commotion around your presence. You struggled answering all of their questions when suddenly you felt a hand on your shoulder and the students grew quiet.
“Now, now… dear y/n has just arrived, don’t crowd her like that. You’ll have enough time to have a chat with her tonight.” The smooth British voice echoed from behind you and a pleasant shudder ran down your spine. The students nodded and went back to their friends on the dance floor. You turned around to look up at the principal.
Larissa couldn’t help but let her eyes roam over your figure. The dress you chose was absolutely exquisite, your makeup complimenting the simplicity of the outfit and your hair that just looked too soft. Vulgar thoughts flooding her mind as she finally caught your eyes. You were looking up at her with big doe eyes, so innocent and sweet.
“Come in! Want something to drink?” she asked as she gently took your arm and led you into the ballroom. You couldn’t believe your eyes. Larissa looked… She was a goddess. Her hair was up like always but decorated with some intricate curls, her usual red lipstick a wonderful contrast to the silver dress she was wearing. Looking up at her, you saw her eyes scanning you, your heart skipping a beat. Her pupils dilated as she finally landed on your eyes, and you had to suppress a whimper. This woman will be the death of you. It took you a few seconds to register her question and notice her arm intertwined with yours.
“I- yes… please!” you answered quietly, not being able to suppress the grin gracing your lips.
Larissa handed you a glass of punch and took one herself. You stood at the edge of the dance floor with her, watching the kids having fun.
You really wanted to dance with her, but didn’t know how to ask. Should you ask? What if she said no? What if she thought you were weird, and she only wanted to invite you for the kids’ sake? But… What if she said yes? What then? You didn’t know how to dance. Sure, you have visited your fair share of parties, but you didn’t think you were a good dancer. And what if you started dancing, and you didn’t do it right, and she would start laughing and-
“What's going on in that head of yours, darling?” Larissa’s soft voice pulled you out of your thoughts. You looked up at her just to catch her already looking at you. Her eyes were soft, a hint of concern shimmering in them. She looked so… soft. You just wanted to pull her into an embrace, a kiss, soft and full of affection. Taking a breath in, you set your glass on a table then held your hand out to her.
“Would you like to dance, Larissa?” you asked, heart hammering in your chest as you saw her eyes widen ever so slightly in surprise. A sweet pink hue coloured her cheeks as she blinked at you a few times, registering what you just asked her. Larissa quickly placed her glass on the table next to yours and moved to put her hand into yours, looking up at you with a shy smile, nodding.
“I would love to!” she said quietly, almost above a whisper. The bright smile that appeared on her face was enough to get her heart racing and head spinning. Your eyes were practically sparkling with glee, and it made her feel so fuzzy and warm inside. To have such happiness and excitement directed towards her was a privilege she’s never experienced before. You giddily pulled her onto the dance floor, not believing your luck.
Marilyn was watching from the corner, watching as you pulled Larissa onto the dance floor. She smirked at the two of you, but something felt weird… the music!
A mischievous smirk graced her features as she waddled off to the DJ and asked him to play a slow and romantic song. The second the music changed, you and Larissa shot a look over at the DJ, seeing Marilyn standing there, innocently waving at the two of you. Oh, you were so going to get revenge on her for that. Your anxiety started kicking in again, but before you could start overthinking it you felt warm hands on your waist. Larissa was pulling you closer, and she just hoped you wouldn’t pull away.
“Is this okay?” Her piercing blue orbs held steady eye contact with you, and you felt your face heat up. With a nod, you move to place your arms on her shoulders, hands close to her neck. She smiled and started swaying with you to the rhythm of the song. Seeing you so shy and flustered by her gave her the necessary courage to take a step closer. She leaned her head down to your ear, causing a shiver to run down your spine.
“You look absolutely delectable tonight, my dear. Have you picked this outfit just for me?” Her hot breath on your skin caused you to bite your lip. You nodded.
“I was hoping you’d like it.” You replied quietly. Larissa tightened her grip on you, squeezing your waist gently, which caused a gasp to leave your lips.
“Dressing up nicely just for me?” She husked, feeling herself getting more confident. Emboldened by the way your body… you reacted to her.
“You’re such a good girl!” You could hear the smirk in her voice. Closing your eyes, you took a deep breath, trying to steady yourself.
“It’s a shame this dress will be laying somewhere scattered in my quarters after this ball is over.”
You tightened your grip on her shoulders, pulling her closer. Your heart felt like it was beating out of your chest. The tension was high, atmosphere thick with desire. You felt your knees tremble, ready to take whatever she was willing to give you. You pulled your head back a bit, just enough to look into her eyes, and what you saw almost made you whimper with anticipation. Her usually so pale blue eyes were dark, lustrous, her breathing heavier than usual and her lips were slightly parted.
Before either of you could say or do anything, you felt something drip on your cheek. Confusedly, you blinked a few times, and Larissa eyed your cheek in concern.
The drips quickly multiplied, and soon you were showered in, what you believed to be, blood. Your eyes widened as you looked around, unable to move. Everything was getting soaked with this red liquid. What was happening?
Larissa was the first to move. She pulled away from you but grabbed your hand and quickly led you outside, the other staff helping the kids get out of the ballroom as well. Some fled into the courtyard and some into the school halls. There was a big commotion amongst the students, and you and Larissa immediately sprang into action, trying to calm the scared kids. Marilyn came running with a pile of blankets and towels to wrap around the sopping pupils.
Whatever had happened, it was clearly meant as an attack of sorts. You were fuming.  Even after all the positive feedback you got for your report, there were still some bad apples in the normie bunch. If you ever caught who did that, they would surely regret pulling a stunt like that.
After the, you now knew it to be, red dyed water attack, you helped Larissa, Marilyn and the other employees to bring the kids inside and to their dorm rooms. After the last student was brought to their room, you stood in the foyer, watching Larissa talk to the Sheriff. You could tell she was agitated… mad. But yet she kept her composure, talked calmly and was respectful. A light bump against your shoulder alerted you to the presence of your friend.
“Hey… thanks for your help! You really didn’t have to, you know?” Marilyn smiled defeatedly at you, and you returned the smile.
“It’s okay! I really didn’t mind… Just wished that this wouldn’t have happened… it’s not like they already have it hard enough and now that… I was really hoping that my report had a bigger impact but-”
“Don’t say that!” Marilyn interrupted, “Your article was eye-opening for so many people in town! It definitely helped! Big time! There’s just always gonna be a few assholes trying to ruin everything again.” She was clearly frustrated as well. You looked at her and chuckled, then shook your head.
“I guess you’re right..” You sighed and rubbed the back of your neck. The two of you stood in silence for a while until Marilyn noticed you watching Larissa again and smirked.
“Such a shame the two of you got interrupted! It almost seemed as if you were about to kiss.” She teased and your, admittedly already red, face started blushing furiously. You hit her arm lightly.
“Stop teasing!” You hissed, but Marilyn just laughed and nudged you again.
“What are we laughing about?” You both turned your head towards the voice and saw the headmistress standing in front of you. One perfectly sculpted eyebrow raised in curiosity. Marilyn just chuckled and smirked at you, then at Larissa.
“Oh nothing important…” She took a deep breath and then clapped her hands together, “Well… I’ll be off… gotta get that red dye out of my hair somehow. Bye bye.” She waved at the two of you, leaving you alone with Larissa once more. She really had the audacity to leave you in situations like these every single time she had the opportunity to. You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose. Larissa watched Marilyn in confusion, then turned to you.
“Y/N… thank you for helping out with the students! I- am so sorry you had to experience this…” She sounded… sad, upset, worried? You looked up at her and saw her looking at you.
“It’s quite alright! I’m just sad they had to experience that! It’s not fair… they’re good kids and I just don't get why anyone would want to harm them in any way…” You gave her a sad smile, then shyly reached out and grabbed her hand to squeeze it lightly.
“But I did really enjoy dancing with you, Larissa…” she smiled back at you and squeezed your hand back.
“As did I… uhm… would you like to come back to my quarters and get that paint washed off? Maybe have a glass of wine?” She was nervous. She was nervous and you could tell. The way her hand lightly trembled, and her eyes darted away from yours while asking. It filled your heart with that fuzzy warm feeling. You nodded and stepped to the side, still holding her hand.
“Lead the way!”
In Larissa’s quarters, she quickly went into the bathroom, returning with a damp cloth and some makeup wipes in the hopes of getting the dye off your skin and hair. You managed to wipe the paint off your face without any issues, but it really stuck to your hair. Larissa went to quickly shower off the paint, and you couldn't help but think about her in the shower. Water streaming down that smooth alabaster skin. You wished you could have joined her.
As Larissa got out of the shower, your breath got stuck in your throat. Her damp hair framed her face in gentle curls. She wasn’t wearing any makeup now, and you seriously didn’t think that this woman could get any more beautiful, but, alas, it seems you were mistaken. Before you stood a goddess in champagne coloured silk pyjamas.
Larissa blushed lightly and smiled at you as she saw you staring. She walked up to you and gently examined your hair, your nostrils filling with the scent of her shampoo by the close proximity of her.
“Seems the dye really stuck to your hair… here.” She handed you a fresh towel and some spare pyjamas.
“You can take a shower if you want to!” She added quietly. You smiled back at her and nodded, taking the items in your hands.
“Thank you! I’ll… uhm… I’ll be right back” You stammered out and quickly made your way to the bathroom. It was luxurious, like the rest of her quarters. You weren't surprised that she handed you the probably softest towel ever and the most luxurious pyjama you ever had the honour of wearing. This woman had an immaculate taste, and it was evident in every aspect of her life.
After your quick shower, you tossed the towel into the laundry hamper in the corner of the room and walked out, your dress in your hands. That was definitely ruined now.
You entered the living room again and saw Larissa sitting on her couch in front of the fireplace, two glasses and a bottle of wine on the small table in front of it. You put your dress in your bag and sat next to her. She looked over and smiled softly, handing you a glass of wine, which you took gratefully.
“Thank you! And thanks that I got to use your shower and… borrow some clothes! I really appreciate it.” You smiled at her and took a sip of the wine. Holy mother of god… of course, the wine was absolutely spectacular. Larissa smiled.
“Don’t mention it. It’s the least I could do.. Plus, I do have to admit I like how my Pyjamas look on you.” She smirked and took a sip of her wine. Larissa eyed you as you just looked at her with wide eyes and a bashful look on your face. You sat the glass down and turned to look at her, clearly gathering your courage to say whatever was on your mind. She thought you looked adorable like that. However, what came out of your mouth next was not something she’d expected to hear.
“It’s truly a shame that you didn’t get to take my dress off and discard it somewhere in your room…” You smirked at her smugly, but before you could continue your teasing, she had you already pressed against the cushion of the couch. Looking at her, you saw her eyes were full of lust, full of hunger. She gently lifted your head with her finger under your chin, forcing you to keep eye contact as she gently pressed her knee between your legs. You inhale sharply and look at her, lust evident in your gaze.
“If you want me, all you have to do is say it.” She husked, ghosting her lips over yours. Larissa loved the way you trembled underneath her, but every time you tried to close the gap, she would pull away.
“You have to say it, darling,” she whispered. You were getting restless, a needy whine escaping you.
“Please Larissa…” You whimper and look at her with your best puppy eyes.
“Please what, darling?”
“Please… I need you… I want you,” you breathe out. The heat began to build, and you could already feel that you were soaked. Larissa grinned down at you.
“Good girl!”
You didn’t have time to react as Larissa finally closed the gap, pulling you into a bruising kiss. It was so full of need and lust. Your lips moved against hers in perfect harmony. Wrapping your arms around her, you pulled her close.
The kiss quickly grew hot, passionate. Larissa bit your lower lip, causing you to gasp and giving her the perfect opportunity to deepen the kiss. She explored your mouth with her tongue, leaving you in a state of dizzying bliss. Her skilled tongue fought with yours for dominance, kissing you with such fervour that both of you almost ran out of breath.
You pulled apart just quickly to catch your breaths before Larissa attacked your neck with hot open-mouthed kisses. Trailing her tongue over your pulse point, then latching on to it and sucking hard. Your back arched into her, head tilting to the side to give her better access.
The aching between your legs became almost unbearable. You wrapped one of your legs around her hips, pulling her closer, but Larissa gently pulled away, causing a pathetic whine to escape.
“Patience darling!” She husked as she sat up and swiftly picked you up, carrying you to her bedroom and dropping you on the bed. The second you laid there, she was already on you again, her lips continuing their assault on your neck. Larissa moved to slowly unbutton the pyjama shirt you were wearing, but you were too impatient. With a swift motion, you helped her unbutton the rest of the shirt and pulled it off of your body, leaving you with a bare chest. Larissa chuckled darkly.
“Impatient are we?” she roamed her hands over your soft stomach, cupping one of your breasts. Dipping her head down again, she moved to the other breast and took your hardened nipple in her mouth, teasing it with her teeth and tongue. You moved your hands in her hair, pulling gently at the sensation she was rewarding you with. Larissa moaned against your breast as a reaction which caused you to buck your hips up. You were so desperate for her, and it was so pathetic, but you didn’t care. All you could feel, small, taste, hear, was her. And you needed more.
“Rissa please,” you groaned as you felt her lips travel towards the hem of the pyjama trousers.
“Need you,” you breathed out. Looking down, you saw her smirk up at you. As she pulled away again you were about to protest but seeing her take her blouse off silenced you immediately. You sat up, reaching out to her and running your fingertips over her body, watching goosebumps spreading over her skin. You cupped her breasts and massaged them, teasing her nipples with your fingers as you leaned in to kiss her.
Larissa melted into your touch and kiss. Quiet sighs and moans leaving her lips as she laid you back down.
“I need to taste you darling,” she whispered between kisses, and you whimpered in response, nodding gently.
“Please! Please…”
Larissa kissed her way down your body again, pulling the trousers down as she moved her kisses down your legs. She threw the trousers somewhere into the dark of the room, then moved her hands to your knees, spreading your legs gently. She groaned at the sight of a wet spot on your white lace underwear. The blonde looked up at you, watching your reaction as she ran her thumb over the wet spot, pressing down on it gently. Your back arched off the bed and your mouth opened in a quiet moan.
“P- please Rissa… need you so bad,” you whimpered, rolling your hips against her thumb, needing more friction. In any other situation Larissa would have loved to tease you more, but she was just as desperate to taste you as you were to feel her tongue on you. So without further pause, she swiftly pulled your thong down your legs. She almost moaned at the sight of your glistening cunt in front of her.
“All of this because of me?” she groaned and moved to kiss the inside of your thigh as you nodded.
“You’re such a good girl, y/n.'' Larissa couldn't hold back any more. She had to taste you. The smell of your arousal made her mouth water and her head dizzy. The second her tongue made contact with your wet and hot cunt, the breath got stuck in your throat and Larissa let out one of the most vulgar moans you’ve ever heard, causing your eyes to roll to the back of your head.
Larissa wasted no time in eating you out. Her tongue danced around your clit before she captured it between her lips and sucked. You moaned out loud, her name falling off your lips like a prayer. The way she used her mouth on you made you feel ecstatic, you felt like you were on cloud nine. The world, every responsibility you had, everything that has ever bothered or hurt you, everything that has been on your mind and stressing you out lately was just gone.
Larissa never slowed her ministrations on you, listening to your cues, noticing how your body reacted to certain things. She loved how easily your body reacted to her. It's like you were made to be pleased by her.
“R-issa… need more..” you gasped out between moans. You needed more of her, needed her in you. Larissa smirked and ran her tongue over the length of your slit one last time before rubbing two of her fingers against your entrance gently, coating it with your slick. You were so desperate to feel her fill you up, your hips rolling against her, motioning for her to stop teasing you. She easily slipped one finger in as soon as she thought they were wet enough. You let out a low moan and moved against her as she started pumping her finger in and out slowly. After a while, she pushed a second finger in and watched you grip the sheets.
“You take me so well, my love.” She praised and moved kisses up your body as she picked up speed with her fingers. Larissa managed to hit spots no one ever had, curling her fingers against that soft, spongy spot that made you see stars. Your walls clenched around her fingers, and you felt the coil tighten in your abdomen.
“M’close… Riss-ah” your moans only spurred her on more. She wanted to hear you, she wanted to see you come undone, she wanted to hear her name on your lips over and over and over again. Larissa picked up her pace again, using her thumb to rub small circles over your sensitive clit. The coil in your abdomen was about to snap, and she felt it.
“That's it! Cum for me, y/n. Let me hear you,” she husked into your ear as she nibbled on your earlobe. That was all you needed for the coil to snap. Your legs and arms wrapped around her, needing her impossibly close as you came on her hand with a cry of her name. Larissa was gentle. She helped you ride out your orgasm and then very carefully pulled her fingers out. Your limbs went weak and dropped from her. You lay on the bed, breathing heavily and exhausted. You felt a shift on the bed but didn't have the strength to open your eyes. A few minutes later you felt the mattress dip again then felt a soft, damp and warm sensation between your legs. Larissa had gotten some towels to help clean you up. She used the damp one to clean between your legs and used a dry one to dab the sweat off your face.
A soft smile spread over your lips as the blonde returned the towels, then came back and laid in bed next to you. Pulling her closer, you started to press soft sleepy kisses to her chin and neck, but she stopped you gently. You looked up at her with a pout, and she kissed your forehead gently.
“Rest!” She whispered and pulled you close. You frowned at her.
“But I want to make you feel good too,” you whispered back and held tightly onto her. She just shook her head, a content and also sleepy smile gracing her features.
“You can. Tomorrow! We have all day to ourselves tomorrow,” she replied and stroked your cheek gently, looking into your eyes lovingly. You smiled and nodded, snuggling into her embrace, you let out a quiet and content sigh. This felt right. This felt like home.
“Good Night Rissa.”
“Good Night y/n.”

Why are you here?
Why are you here if you’re so tired? So exhausted? So bored?
Why are you looking for meaning in a foreign country? And why can’t you find it? Don’t you know passion isn’t found in the street? Don’t you know it doesn’t just exist beneath the light rain and cold wind? Your shaking body won’t get you anywhere but across the cobblestone bridge - and even then, you must trudge. Wade through the distinct desire to fall asleep.
Why are you trying so hard to stay awake?
You have come here for a reason - for an escape - and yet, you are plagued with the same thing that haunted you back home. It is inescapable, this distinct feeling of emotional helplessness. You feel too much or you feel too little. You explode with desire, with sadness, with anger, or you are cool and detached. You cannot find an in between. You cannot find a warm, soothing balance. You walk the line of extremes and get upset when the grey areas cease to exist.
So you run away to France and think that you can find yourself in what? Hm? In the Eiffel? In the lights? In the love? Please. You have not felt love. You have not felt real love. You have not felt anything beyond passion and lust, and even then those feelings were artificial. Forced, almost. You have looked at men and you have seen their shoulders and you have witnessed the bobbing of their throats and the easy fluff of their hair and you have been thoroughly unimpressed. For what exists for you there? What is in their strong arms? What is in their DNA? What lies in them that cannot be discovered elsewhere? Why are you expected to view them and want them?
Why are you expected to love?
So many questions, not many answers. They swirl around inside like the milkiness of an oatmeal bath, opaque and bottomless. They swirl and you watch. Utterly mesmerized. Hypnotized until you feel the distinct desire to fall asleep. Constantly tired, you are. Always so exhausted, dragging your feet along the pavement. Blindly clutching the collar of the black coat that covers your arms and back. Its hood leaves your face bare for the elements. Wind sweeps and rain smacks and you are certain you’ll get sick from walking out so late at night in the cold.
What on Earth came over you? Who could ever be so stupid?
Shivers run the length of your body. You feel like a wet dog thrown out in the street, proving far too difficult for the family to continue dealing with. Too loud and too needy and too caked with mud everytime you walked into the house, so they had no choice but to discard you. It is better, after all, than having a defective animal. No one wants a dog who cannot love. No one wants a dog who cannot be understood. No one wants a stray. And no one-no one-wants a shivering pup walking slowly on unsteady legs. No one wants that. No one wants you.
Except for the sign in the distance, blurry and far away - past the stoplight and across the street. A golden light flickers brightly above an evergreen background, and you can just barely make out, through squinted eyes, the bold gold lettering. ‘Madame: A 1920’s Brasserie’. You can’t help but think that it’s a rather silly name. Madame. Can’t get more French than that. And, it appears, can’t get more authentic. The restaurant stands out in a way that borders on tacky. It is all dark mahogany, golden accents, and small details of matte red and green. The sconces on the walls glow like mini-fires, and you find yourself… drawn. Intrigued. It is inviting and it is late. The windows are dark; the world inside is its own. And you need an escape. A proper one. None of this wandering shit that leads you to nowhere but a random spot with aching feet and the distinct feeling of dissatisfaction. None of this waiting around emptiness.
You are cold and it looks warm and you are just an abandoned dog. How can they expect you to deny yourself some peace?
The very moment your boot slides over the threshold, tapping down lightly on a dark wooden floor, your body is changed. A veil of something different flows over your shoulders, draping behind you, and suddenly you feel as though you’ve stepped into another world.
Have you? Or were you just hit by a car in the middle of the road and slipped into the Afterlife?
If that had happened, and you were indeed dead, then the Afterlife was an absolute treat. It seems like a small speakeasy, with a stage at the very back of the restaurant - lit up by a few spotlights and otherwise empty aside from a single microphone stand and a piano. In the dark corner beside it, there’s a cello, a trumpet case, and a deconstructed set of drums. The lights are dimmed so intensely that only the flickers of tabletop candlelight and a few burning wicks by the bar help you squint through hazy darkness. It feels like a dream as smoky hands curl into the air and caress your lungs as you breathe, creating something intoxicating when paired with the heady scent of mixed perfumes. Mixed perfumes that all seem to belong to women. Only women. It’s not crowded but a few souls linger. Couples leaning into each other at their booths, their pupils melting into hearts. Friends sitting lazily at one of the center tables, toasting to something you can’t hear. A group of flirts. A lonely soul or two nursing martinis by the stage. A woman at the bar. The bartender. One server drawing in a notebook, tucked away from the rest of the world. All women. All… dated. Old fashioned. It feels like you’ve stepped into the 1950’s - or something like that. You’ve never been very good with time. But they are different. Wearing dresses with pulled in waists, collars, square necklines, bateau necklines, coats and hats and heels and gloves. Not a phone in sight. Some are in suits, too. Marlene Dietrich type suits. Tipping The Velvet type suits. Very dapper. Very clean. You’re overwhelmed.
Distantly, somewhere, the gentle keys of piano jazz fill the buzzing room - and you feel lightheaded. Dizzy with warmth. The rain purrs against the windows, blowing with the wind trying to get to you. But you have reached safety. Nirvana. And you find yourself itching to shrug out of your coat and disappear into a glass of something tangy and sweet.
“Amaretto sour,” you murmur to the lady behind the bar, sluggishly pushing back the hood from your head.
“Choose somethin’ else, sweetheart.”
The response is immediate. And annoying. You pause, halfway out of your coat, and look from the polished mahogany of the bar’s surface to the amused glint in the bartender’s eyes. There’s a cloth thrown over her shoulder and a dark loose vest sitting tight against her button up. White. Sleeves scrunched by the elbows. A smirk on her lips. Your gaze melts into a glare.
Stop looking at me like that. I’m just a dog. I don’t want whatever smiles you have to offer.
“I don’t know,” you growl, tugging the coat from your body so harshly it nearly tears your arms off.
But she doesn’t seem to mind your irritation, and better yet, she doesn’t really seem to care. Her eyes only track the way you throw your coat over the back of your chair and push yourself onto the high-top stool. You reason your anger is probably out of place in such a dreamy world, just like your choice of alcohol, but you’re too tired and cold to bother giving her a smile. And being kind has proven to be more and more exhausting as the days go by. It’s not like she deserves it anyway, being so casual with you. Standing so tall, with such confidence, not even the slightest bit weary or weathered from the long day. You don’t even know what time it is - only that it’s late. Past the twinkling stars kind of late. Way past sunset kind of late. So late that you think the restaurant may be closing but you’re not even sure. No one has left. The women are still happy, buzzed and delighted by the concoctions in their glasses. Still all lonely by the stage. Still knee-deep in the quiet place of Madame.
Still a silly fucking name.
“Bailey’s Colada then,” you drawl, running a hand through your messy curls. “And an extra shot of pineapple juice. I dunno.” You shrug, leaning into your hands as your elbows press into the wood of the bar. They’re cold, covering your eyes. Damp. Tense with the chill from the rain you just escaped. And eager to feel something grounding.
Too bad the bartender is still a bitch.
“I’ll give you one more try.” She thinks she’s so clever, smiling at you like that. She thinks she’s so charming.
You want to rip her happy eyes out.
You want to sleep.
“Just. Get. Me. A. Fucking. Drink.” Your gaze shoots daggers, piercing her right through the heart between the gaps of your fingers.
If you were any more aware of your surroundings, instead of just appreciative, then you’d notice that the only liquor they serve is the kind produced during the 1950’s. The popular drinks back in the day. True to the time. Devoted to the piece. Overall very good with details. But details are not something you have the energy to notice. And there’s not a damn thing on Earth that can tear you away from the drugged feeling of your eyes slowly drooping. Growing hazy with fatigue. Vision blurring. Body shivering, still dripping small beads of water from your coattails onto the floor. Distantly, you hear the bartender speak.
“Hey- are you okay?”
No, you want to say. No, fucker. Can’t you see I’m not okay? Just get me a damn drink and-
“If you don’t mind my interrupting,” a voice - deep, English, breaks through your haze. “I suggest a Tom Collins.”
Great. And I suggest you shut the Hell up.
“That work for you, princess?”
You want to reach across the bar and strangle her so bad that your cold fingers twitch, but something stops you. No- someone stops you.
“She’s exhausted, Leslie. Leave her be.”
Yeah. Finally a person who has a fucking clue.
You want to speak, and perhaps tell the person to go away, or throw your hands up in the air and yell ‘Halle-fucking-lujah!’, but before you can open your mouth, the seat next to you squeaks. It spins around, dragged lightly by a white-gloved hand, before it moves to accompany a figure. A figure with a lot of misplaced confidence and a lot of audacity. A lot of self importance and a lot of gall. A lot of… oh.
You swallow.
A lot of height, as well. A lot of height and a lot of elegance. She slips into the chair with practiced ease, placing her hands in the right places and her heels on the right rungs, tugging the chair to spin around and face- you. You. Of course you. You, who are the odd one out. You, who waltzed in from 2024. You, who are not one of them. You, an abandoned dog and you, who are cosplaying as a content human. Of course the stranger turns to face you. And of course she is beautiful. All pale skin and shining blue eyes and snowy curls pinned extravagantly atop her head. A jawline that is softer than fresh downy pillows and could cut glass if it grows tense. Long arms. Long legs. Red lips. A scar-so faint you have to squint-but a scar nonetheless. You wonder where she got it from. You wonder why you wonder.
“It’s palatable,” the stranger speaks. The tip of her nose moves with her words. It’s cute. She has a very distinct face. Sharp features. Eyes not too hooded but not too wide. They don’t look at you directly, and instead focus on a spot near your hand. On the mahogany, where it’s (thank god) clean.
The bartender turns her back to make the drink and you take that moment, away from her bastard prying eyes, to speak.
“I hope so.” It’s ruder than intended, but doesn’t seem to offend. Those red lips quirk into a smile, and she looks at you- finally- from beneath dark lashes. Her makeup is fresh. Her skin looks warm.
“The Amaretto Sour and Bailey’s Irish Cream only rose to fame in the 1970’s,” her covered fingers run along the smooth wood, “The Mai Tai, Tom Collins, and Sloe Gin Fiz, on the other hand…” She tilts her head, shrugs one shoulder, and flicks her eyes from you to the bar. It’s endearing, annoyingly enough. And you’re sure that for a second, the blush on her cheekbones is a figment of your imagination.
For some reason, you shoot her a wry smile.
“Lemme guess… popular in the 50’s?”
An auburn eyebrow ticks up, splashing feigned surprise across that pretty face.
“How did you know?” Her tone is pitched a bit too high as she gasps. A bit too hysterical. It makes you roll your eyes and look away, taking a moment to glance at the dark floor beneath your feet. You shake your head.
Maybe it’s her beauty. Maybe it’s her humor. Maybe it’s the fact that she understands you’re so tired you could fall asleep right there where you sit.
“Tom Collins,” the bartender steals your attention. The glass is full, sliding across the bar at top speed, and you can barely hope to reach out and catch it before the stranger’s white glove is stopping it from tipping right over the edge. Only a splash of the sweet drink spills onto clean leather. You watch. You get the distinct urge to lean over and lick it clean.
Just like any other mutt. Eager to lap up the scraps. Even when they’re not yours.
“Shouldn’t you be finishing up, Leslie? I thought the bar was closed.” Leathered fingers curl around the tall glass, squeaking lightly beneath the strength of her pressure.
“And why would you think that, Larissa?”
Larissa. Name fit for a dream.
The bartender doesn’t look too happy. There’s something acrid in her expression, something that pulls at her lips in a way most unpleasant. She looks sour. Jealous. Of her? No. No, not of her.
Of you?
Yes. Absolutely of you. You can see it in the way her green eyes shift- running from your face to Larissa’s and back again. Upset. Betrayed. Let down. It makes you want to smile. Larissa seems kind. The bitch behind the bar isn’t, you’ve decided. Not fucking kind at all. And you’re happy when Larissa’s pretty red lips stretch into a bright smile. The very lingerings of derision hide in the sweet lines beside her mouth.
“It’s a quarter after midnight, Leslie. And you close at-”
“11:30, yeah I know. Whatever.” And with that shit attitude, Leslie tugs the cloth from her shoulder and walks away; leaving you to your precious company.
Your precious company who takes the glass from the bar and holds it out to you, completely unphased by the cold condensation wetting her glove. It’s later than you thought it was, but you don’t have anywhere to be, do you? No. No, you don’t. So you hide your surprise and stare into Larissa’s eyes instead.
“A peace offering?”
Her smile, this time, is genuine. Wide and perfect, showing off those white teeth and the delightful little scrunch of her nose.
“Yes,” and the warmest chuckle rumbles up from her pale throat, “a peace offering.”
You nod and take the glass. It’s very cold, but you don’t feel it. Not when she’s looking at you like that. Watching you raise it in a silent toast and a quiet thanks. Her eyes follow you when you bring it to your lips, when you drink, and when you allow your expression to scrunch up only the tiniest bit. She lets out a loud laugh at the sight of that, and brings a large palm up to cover her open mouth, probably finding her exquisite joy to be too unladylike. You almost tell her to take it away, to allow herself to cackle freely, but it’s not your place. You’re just a dog. And you’re too busy swigging down more ‘zesty lemonade’ to pause and perhaps mention that her bright laugh is something to be marveled at. To be joined in.
You’ve never felt this way.
This way… what is this way? Amusement? No. You’ve felt that before. Happiness? No, because it’s not that. You’ve felt that - a long time ago. Contentment? No. You don’t feel safe. You don’t feel like you want to stay forever. In fact, you kind of want to leave. It suddenly feels too stifling. Too… romantic. Ah. That’s it. Romantic. Looking into those twinkling blue eyes and finding genuine intrigue there. Interest. She is beautiful and you want more. More conversation. More of her voice. Because there she sits, waltzing over to your spot, making your eyes widen, and giving you a drink. One that isn’t too bad either - after getting over the initial tartness that sort of stings your tongue. And she just sort of expects you to be okay with it? To not want more? And more? And more? You are a dog and you want to tell her that.
I am a dog, Larissa. I have learned to be desperate. I have known what it is to want for more. Can you give me more? Just another smile for a sweet stranger?
“I don’t mean to laugh,” her voice is gentle, becoming clearer once she takes her hand away from her mouth, “but your face was- it was…”
“What?” You lick your lips, tilting your head. “What was it like?” And you can’t help but pull another face, exaggerating it, crossing your eyes and frowning, smoldering, and sneering all at the same time. Thank goodness it seems to do the trick as in the next moment, you hear a surprised stuttering laugh fill the air. It makes for the most beautiful harmony with Madame’s soft piano music; lilting and light and gorgeous. A silver lining. A golden undertone. You follow in her beautiful steps and join her in laughing.
“Was it like that?” You grin, taking another sip. “Just like that?”
“Yes,” Larissa gasps and nods, pressing a hand to her chest, “Precisely.”
Your combined chuckles eventually fade and silence falls like the rain outside. Softer, now. A light brush against the windows - like the storm decided to calm as soon as Larissa sat down beside you. But that’s a silly thought. Storms don’t bend to the actions of women.
Except, you ponder, watching Larissa pick invisible fuzzies off of her beige coat, they may make exceptions.
“Where are you from?” You say it so quickly you don’t even realize it comes from your own mouth. Just your luck that your inner thoughts betray you.
But Larissa only looks charmed, and possibly grateful for a conversation starter. She straightens up in her spot, giving you her full attention. It is excruciating. It kills the shivering you’ve been indulging in since your outside excursion - and fills you with something just short of… giddy.
“The United Kingdom originally, but Vermont is where I stay now,” she responds, resting her palms along the bar’s edge.
Vermont? Odd.
You raise an eyebrow.
“Long way from Vermont, aren’t you?”
Those red lips twitch with the ghost of a smile. True, you think she says in her head. Very true.
“Indeed,” blue eyes sparkle, “I figured I needed a holiday.” She tilts her head and you know the question is coming. “Are you a long way from home as well?” It’s a wonderful question. A good question. A perfect question, truly. You want to tell her yes but you’re not sure if that’s the truth.
“I-” Well. Abandoned dogs don’t have homes, Larissa. Can’t you see that in me? Can’t you recognize it? Don’t you know?
Apparently not. Her beautiful face is still open and inviting, unshaded by judgment. Unperturbed by your unfamiliarity. You don’t know how to react to that. How to respond to her kindness. Her patience. She is unknowingly opening a can of worms and you are knowingly staring at her, mouth flapping open and closed, trying to conjure up words that don’t sound like I have no home.
“Please don’t feel obligated to answer,” Larissa waves her hand in the air, “I understand it’s quite personal.”
Oh. How sweet you are to a stray.
“No, I just… I’m a little lost right now,” you admit with a sigh, tipping the glass back until you can swallow the rest of the liquor in one smooth gulp. Something shifts in Larissa’s expression while you lose yourself in the feeling of alcohol sitting in your throat. It’s a miniscule difference when you look at her again, but you spot it anyway. Sadness. Melancholy. Understanding. Pity. All scuttling around in the depths of her eyes and the furrow of her brows and the downturn of her lips.
Normally you hate pity. Normally you despise it. Normally you figure it isn’t for you. You don’t deserve it. You’re just a person with no wind and no destination and no path. You’re just a dog overdue. So why do you need pity? Why do you have it? Why do you get so angry at anyone who wants to give it to you? And why is Larissa any different? She’s still a stranger. Just one with a pretty face. And beautiful hair. And the most gorgeous voice…
“Doing a bit of soul searching then?” Her tone is intentionally light.
“Yeah,” the glass makes a small ‘clink’ against the bartop, “I guess so.”
Kind of. Sort of. Yes? And no. Whose soul are you searching for? Which life do you want? Why are you so lost, when they say that everyone has a place on Earth? Where is your place?
Do you have one?
“Why France?”
“Good question,” you shrug, not really knowing the answer yourself. “City of lights, I suppose.”
“Hmm,” Larissa nods, drumming her fingers against the wood. “City of love, as well. In case you haven’t heard.”
Yes. She’s right. Very right. You lick your lips and nod along. City of love, indeed. City of love with the way that dress looks on her, for sure. City of love with the way she looks at you, too. City of love with the way she smells. Like vanilla and jasmine. Strong, intense, a cologne that probably costs a million dollars - for a woman that looks like a million dollars. City of love. It’s written in the piano that fills your silences. In the air that breathes between your bodies. In the bubble of privacy that lives on when Leslie disappears from behind the bar with a heavy clang of its trapped door. She throws the cloth onto the wood, shoots one last glare at the two of you from over her shoulder, and fucks off into the dark of the stage area. Probably to pick up some other sad woman that’s just as lost as you.
On any other night, I may be the person she takes home. But right now I’m with Larissa. And that’s where I’m gonna stay.
“Not for her,” you snark, watching Leslie retreat before turning back to your company.
Larissa hums, but her eyes don’t follow the bartender like yours did. Instead, they stay on you. Glued to the side of your face, then to the full of your features when you give her a small disgusted expression. You’re rewarded with a light chuckle. “Yes, except for her,” she clears her throat. “Unfortunately, Leslie has always been…”
“Rude?” You start, putting an elbow on the bar and leaning on your palm, “Annoying? Flirty? Shitty? To name a few,” you roll your eyes, flipping your hand in the air.
Larissa only closes her eyes and snorts. “She has always been… eager? I guess that’s the right word. Eager.”
You don’t like the sound of that. Eager people are desperate people. Desperate people are loose cannons. They’d do anything for- well- anything. And Larissa is not an ‘anything’. Larissa is not a reward. And you are not a desperate, eager person. You are not a loose cannon. You’re just a lost one. A rusted lost contraption that was thrown off of the side of a pirate ship. Silly loose cannon, searching for land. No reward.
“For you?” The disapproval that colors your tone does not seem to surprise Larissa. In fact, it only makes her nod.
“Yes, I’m afraid. Though I can’t imagine why,” those broad shoulders of hers shrug, “I’m not nearly as fascinating as half of the women that grace this bar.”
That’s what you think.
“I beg to differ.” It comes out so confidently you kind of want to punch yourself in the mouth. What the fuck do you mean you beg to differ? What would you like to follow that up with? What would you like to say? Oh no, Larissa. You are WAY more fascinating than the people that ‘grace this bar’. You are WAY more intriguing. Leslie has good taste, sure, but a shit attitude about it. I can imagine why she fancies you. I can imagine why anyone would. Yeah right. You can’t say that. But you’re still curious, so instead of giving her a moment to register and respond, you ask the burning question. “How long have you been on holiday if you’re so sure?” But really the question is: How often do you come here?
The pink in porcelain cheeks has deepened. You’re sure it’s from your comment, but you refuse to allow the buzzing of your heart get any worse. It’s already filling your ears, drowning out the piano, and you yearn for the safety of contentment. The same contentment you didn’t feel before. Is this still romance? Or was this never romance at all?
“About three weeks. An extended stay. Though I must admit, I’m nervous about returning to work. I fear I’ve left it too long,” she frowns, twisting her lips in a way that says ‘But what can you do?’.
“Three weeks! What do you do for work?” If there were some more drink in your mouth, you probably would’ve spat it out by accident. Three weeks? Sort of a long time. A long time to be away from work and a long time to be alone.
Unless she isn’t alone… to which you’d actually like to leave right now if that’s the case.
There's hesitance in her eyes. "I'm... a school principal," she says slowly, looking away. “But I needed it. Prolonged stress isn’t good for me. Or for anyone, really.” Her voice softens, carried away by the music as she glances down at her hands. You get the strange desire to hold them. It pops up first as a soft urge in your mind before barrelling forward and pressing hard against the front wall of your thoughts. Reach out and hold them. Hold them. They are soft. They are the kind of hands that reach out and pet the strays. Feed the strays.
But you’re too scared you’ll bite.
“Preach,” you murmur, unsure of how to continue. What are the duties of a school principal? “But- ya know. Good for you I guess. Are you returning to Vermont soon?”
“My flight leaves at seven tomorrow. I’ll get back at approximately half past five in the morning if I’m lucky.”
“Hm. And if you’re unlucky?”
Another small smile.
“Then I’ll never get back.”
You find that to be quite interesting. She’s not worried about her job in a way that speaks to severe anxiety, but in a way that speaks to nervousness regarding her passion. Regarding the children she has to look after. The parents she has to (no doubt) reassure. The world that she is important in. The oil that runs through the machine. She keeps them going - and she has been gone for three weeks. You’re rather curious about the aftermath, and about the scene she will return to upon arrival, but it’s hopeless and misplaced. You will not see what happens. You will not spot the relief on her face. You will not know how life continues for her. Because she is leaving, this beautiful stranger, and she has a home. And you are a stray dog. Abandoned. Hungry. More, more, more. She does not want. She is satiated. Larissa has lived out her dream here, her relaxation, and now it is time to turn around and face the music. Return home. And be part of the family again.
How does that feel? Family?
“How long do you plan on staying?” She asks, looking just as curious as you feel.
A sigh rattles your bones as you lean your head back and push out your chest, relishing in the pops that run down your spine. Exhaustion is creeping again. You didn’t even notice it was gone.
“Probably… forever?” It’s not the truth.
“That can’t be true.”
“No,” you groan, “it’s not. So I don’t know. Maybe forever. Maybe I’ll leave tomorrow, too. We’ll see, I guess.”
That pretty gaze burns into the side of your face. It is full of questions, even when you’re not meeting it, and you’re suddenly sort of scared to look at her again. Scared that she’ll know everything. Scared that she’ll realize what you really are. Not just lost, but hopeless. No way of being found. Because what will you do and where will you go? Nothing and nothing. That seems to be the answer these days. Nothing.
“Do you have any family you’re traveling with?”
Her voice is soft again. Colored with feeling. What is she feeling? Is it still pity? You glance at her, out of the corner of your eye, just to check. No. Yes? No. Maybe. Could be. Or it could be something else. Could be hope. Could be sadness. Could be something better. You can’t clock it, so you return with a question of your own. It stings you to say it- embarrasses you to wonder- but you can’t help yourself. You’re just a dog. You need more.
“Do you have anyone that will be waiting for you at 5 in the morning?”
Her eyebrows twitch for the smallest shade of a second. It’s barely there, but you see it anyway. You see how she frowns and recovers. Maybe that was too far. Maybe that was too blunt. Maybe you should just hold your fucking tongue and stop digging into other people’s business-
“Honestly? No. I’ll probably have to grab a taxi from the airport.”
Oh.
For some reason that’s worse. Worse than if she said yes. Worse than if she started to go on a tirade about a lover waiting for her. Worse than if she mentioned a gaggle of friends or even a coworker. How can she just have- that? That? A taxi? You can’t hide the way your face falls. You just can’t. And you can’t contain the way your heart breaks a little. Crackling like a burning fire, pounding away behind the frailness of your chest. Dropping pieces all over the floor of your innards as you see Larissa get lost staring into space. Probably looking over the different types of liquor bottles as she figures out how best to get a cab from the airport with the least amount of trouble. You kind of want to reach over and shake her shoulders. Take her out of her own head. Insist that it’ll be okay. But of course it’ll be okay - she never said it wouldn’t. She never made any indication that being alone was something she didn’t like.
However, she did walk over to you, didn’t she? And she did sit down next to you. And she was alone at the bar. So maybe the isolation is getting to her. Maybe she needs to go back home. Maybe you need to go with her.
Maybe you need to shut the fuck up.
“I don’t have any family,” you respond, figuring it’s only fair. “So it’s just me.”
Larissa gives you a distracted hum before she takes her eyes away from a place over your shoulder and moves them to your face. To your eyelashes and your eyebrows and your cheeks and your nose. You don’t know what she sees. Hopefully not a dog.
“And no prior commitments? No one waiting for you either?” She seems hesitant to ask, but you know it’s just because she doesn’t want to be impolite.
Oh, Larissa. You can’t offend dogs, Larissa. Others can but not you.
“No. No roots, if that’s what you mean.”
She nods. “I see.”
“Do you?”
A long leg goes sliding up to cross over the other and for a second, you’re lost in the smooth length of them. Her calves and thighs are gorgeous. The hem of her dress falls below the knee. A little restricting but classy. She is very beautiful. And slowly, as the night progresses, you’re beginning to fear what will happen when she leaves. Which is silly, because she’s still a stranger. She doesn’t even know your name. And she has a home to return to and you’re doomed for the rest of your life.
“I believe I do, yes.” And that’s enough of an answer for you.
From that sweet point on, you fall into silence.
The ambience of Madame hasn’t shifted in the slightest. The earlier smoke only renewed itself once certain cigarettes ran out - and the piano looped into another song. Probably playing over a speaker system you couldn’t see or a record player somewhere in the dark. No one takes center stage. No one leaves. It’s still empty drinks, empty hearts, empty heads, and full laughter. Easy chatter. Women getting closer. Women holding hands. Women with their palms on each other’s thighs. Women with lipstick marks on their cheeks. Women with perfectly pinned hair, like Larissa’s, are left with loose curls and messy ends - easily destroyed by a wandering hand or a particularly heavy kiss. You refuse to blush at the sight of that when you turn around and make eye contact with a woman at a booth, but your body doesn’t listen. Your body finds it scandalous. Your body finds it exciting.
There are no threats. There are no men. No shouts, no loud drinking, no busy football games, no beer-stained tables and hugs that hit a bit too hard. There’s no gag-worthy cologne and no clumsy feet stepping on the toes of ladies and no drunken asks for a number or company home. There’s only peace. Sweet and fragile, not even broken by the wind and rain that beats and floats against the windows. You wonder when the place closes if it’s already so late.
You wonder why there’s so many women.
“There was no um-” your throat grows hoarse before you clear it, putting a hand up to your mouth while you look at Larissa. She’s waiting patiently for you to continue. “There was no… advertisement? I guess? That said this place was- is it like… a lesbian… bar? Or something?” You sound more and more childish the higher your voice goes but Larissa’s smile is gentle.
“There’s no advertisement needed. Everyone knows Madame in Paris is a place of community acceptance. However, it’s apparently more popular in the Spring. Tourist season and all that.”
“Oh.” Oh.
Larissa’s brows furrow. “Something wrong?”
Well, yes. Sort of. Kind of. Uh…
“No I just- it’s not Spring now?” You frown, lifting your elbow from the bartop and putting your arm in your lap. What does she mean?
“No,” Larissa shakes her head slowly, stopping the light drum of her fingers. “It’s Autumn. November, actually.”
November? But…
“Huh,” you blink, “must be more lost than I thought. Weird.”
The very beginnings of a frown pull at those red lips, giving away her worry; and for some reason, you’re hasty to reassure her.
“But it’s probably just the exhaustion or something,” you huff out a self-deprecating smile, “No biggie. Maybe I’m like- too buzzed to comprehend. Or too hungry. I don’t know,” you gesture to your head, waving off the concern that she was going to show you.
But it doesn’t work.
“Perhaps you need dinner then,” Larissa tilts her head, looking at you from beneath her eyelashes.
In that moment, she’s perhaps the most glorious thing you’ve ever seen. Lit by low candle light. Shadowed by her own form of mystery. You kind of want to lean over and kiss her - which is weird, because her lips are just like any other person’s lips, and you’ve never wanted to kiss someone so badly before. But dogs change sometimes, don’t they? Just like any other creature. Dogs change. And instead of wanting for more, they want for something different.
“Yeah. Perhaps I do.”
Your company takes a moment to look behind you, running her gaze over the interior of the restaurant. You see her blue eyes flit from couple to couple and group to group and crying woman to the next crying woman. You see her nose wrinkle when she spots all of the cigarettes and you see the twitch in her kitten-heeled foot before she’s uncrossing her legs and moving to stand. Every nerve in your body jumps to stand with her. To follow her lead and let her whisk you away. But you don’t know if that’s what she wants - and you don’t want to assume just to be let down. You don’t want her to look at you like ‘What the fuck are you standing up for?’ so you stay in your seat and watch her fix up her coat, straighten her gloves, and grasp the purse on the back of her chair. Everything about her is so elegant. Smooth. Maybe you’re hallucinating and she’s only a dream.
“I know a place nearby. Do you want to join me?”
You look from her hands to her face, caught frozen by the timber of her voice. Do you want to join me?
“Is- are you sure?” Your heart is screaming.
“Yes. Why wouldn’t I be?” Larissa gives you a small confused smile.
You lick your lips. “You don’t even know my name.”
“Alright. Do you want to tell me on the way?”
No one ever asks. Everyone stopped a long time ago. There’s no need to wonder, to know, when everyone understands that you’ll just disappear sooner or later. Abandoned dog with an abandoned mind. But here she is asking - and it would be rude to ignore her.
“Sure.”
The weather is still brisk when you step outside. The rain is not as harsh and the wind not as bad, but the chill is just as strong. It seeps through your coat rather quickly and you have to shove your hands in your pockets to hide the way they shake. Larissa seems to be faring much better, walking along at a steady pace and adding to the clicks your boots leave behind on the pavement. Despite the dreary weather and the dark sky, threatening to break with another downpour at any moment, the streetlamps are beautiful. Guiding you both through the midnight haze and the swiftly settling fog. You feel like a ghost, floating along there by your company’s side, trying to keep yourself from staring up at her. The bar’s seating apparently did her no favors as when she stood up and led the way outside, you nearly tripped over yourself upon noticing the height difference. She is… she is something extraordinary. You wonder why you’re the one there beside her. Maybe Leslie had a better chance. Maybe you’re just a placeholder until she leaves.
“Are you going to make me guess?” She says eventually, pausing mid-stride to look down at you.
There’s only a few inches difference. Maybe a near foot. You’re not sure. You haven’t asked. But you want to. Curious dog.
“Sure,” you shrug, amused by the way she sighs and continues forward. “It’s not that hard.”
“Elizabeth,” she starts.
Cute.
“No.”
“Emily.”
“No.”
“…Erin?”
“No. What’s with all the ‘E’ names?”
“Would you prefer I start at ‘A’?”
“Might make it easier.”
“Nothing will make this easier.”
The walk feels like it goes on for ages the more she speaks. One name after the other after the other. You smile at the ones that are close and snort at the ones that could never suit you. Larissa only rolls her eyes and tries again. It’s silly and fun and lighthearted and you feel something inside you lighten. Though maybe it’s the Tom Collins, finally kicking in after a day of no food and one boozy drink. Larissa doesn’t seem to mind your occasional giggles and huffs - she even joins you, especially when you almost trip over your feet walking along the curb and she has to reach out and tug you back from the street and the ground. Her coat is cold but her body feels warm. There’s a small droplet of rain that hangs off of a strand of white hair behind her ear and you’re desperate to brush it away, but you don’t. You can’t. Can’t gather the energy to reach out. Can’t gather the energy to get your hopes up. So you move away and the game continues.
Down the street, along this turn and that, through rights and lefts and around lamp posts and street lights and intersections and parks. Far far away and all over the place. You walk for so long your legs begin to twinge - and then she says it.
“Jasmine?”
“Nope.”
“Lilith.”
“No.”
You’re waiting for a stoplight to turn red, but Larissa breezes past you. Head held high. Strides long. Back straight. The world does bend for her. And so do you.
As soon as you reach her side, she takes a steadying breath.
“Iris.”
Why your heart decides to take that moment and skip multiple beats is something you’ll never understand. Maybe it’s just the way she says it. The way it tumbles off of her tongue and slides from between her teeth and disappears into the ether. Maybe it’s the look she gives you and the way she stops when you’re a bit too quiet for too long and the corners of your mouth can’t help but quirk up. You’re not proud of her - that would be silly - but she certainly looks proud of herself. If that slowly spreading grin is anything to go by.
“Iris. Is that it?”
You nod and watch as her nose scrunches up with joy and her gloved hands make little muted claps in excitement. You think you can get used to the way she says it. Like it’s something to be cherished - something delicate and soft. Iris. Eye-riss. Iris. Slow and measured. Careful. She wants to take as much caution as she can when she says it. And when she finally goes to resume your walk, she lets out a little hum and glances down at you from the corners of her eyes.
“It’s a lovely name.”
Oh, Larissa. You’re killing me here.
“Larissa is nice, too. Very… elegant,” you respond, trying desperately to take the attention off of you. It’s been so long since you last heard a compliment like that, you’re unsure how to react. How to be normal about it. How to stop yourself from circling her body and pulling her close and pushing your head against her chest to listen to her heart. To see if she’s real. Because only fake people pay attention to strays - and she’s too wonderful to be anything aside from a figment of your dear imagination.
“That’s very kind of you, Iris.” Oh say it again. Please god, say it again.
But she doesn’t. And you don’t push it. And you don’t look at her for fear of bursting into flames. And you continue your walk until you come across a park bench and you sit down - drawing her attention and luring her back over to stand while you rest your legs.
“Feels like we’ve been walking forever! Where are you taking me?” You glare at her, all playful looks and pouts.
“To my lair. Are you scared yet?” She shifts on her white heels and you can’t help but give her a small chuckle.
“Me? Scared of you? Yeah, right. In your dreams, blondie.”
“Oh you haven’t seen anything yet. I can be quite terrifying when I want to be,” Larissa defends, crossing her arms and cocking out a hip.
“Yeah. To school children maybe,” you grin, spreading your arms out over the back of the bench to sit comfortably. “But not to me.”
“Hm. Not yet, anyway,” her tone is airy, making you blow air out of your nose with amusement.
“Uh huh.” You pause, close your eyes to bask in the chill that bites at your skin, and then open one to look at her. “How tall are you, anyway?”
She towers over you there - standing beside the wrought-iron arm of the bench while you sit and crane your head back. Outlined in the soft glow of the park lamps, you begin to wonder if Larissa is not an imaginary friend or a ghost but instead an angel. She certainly looks the part. You really wouldn’t be that surprised if huge ivory wings sprout from the defined lines of her shoulder blades.
“How long have you been wanting to ask that?” Oh, she’s teasing me now. You roll your eyes.
“Since you first stood up.” The truth is always best. And it makes her smile softly.
“Six foot, three.”
Your lips part, falling open before you catch yourself. Six feet and three inches?! Jesus, woman. You swallow around your delighted shock and push yourself off of the bench - bringing yourself to your full height on the backs of your heeled boots.
“There’s no way,” you snark, crossing your arms.
“Oh really?” Those red lips grow into a smirk and never in your life have you wanted to feel something more. Never.
“Yeah. Really.”
And of course that’s how you sign your heart away - for a split second later, there she stands. So close you can smell the old wine on her breath and see the individual lines in her face. It’s only half lit by golden light, but that doesn’t matter. You’re beginning to think your eyes were made for seeing her. And you’re beginning to think your body was made for standing so close. She smells like the rain now. Like the rain and the stars, which twinkle brightly behind her head as you resist the urge to step back and look at her. There is no backing down from this. There is only matching her height head-on, even though that’s impossible. But that’s the joke. So you move to stand on the tips of your toes and get into her personal space and only when you do, do you realize your mistake. She’s even closer. And her blue eyes have gone wide. You see a deep black abyss take over the oceans of her irises and suddenly, you think your name is very inadequate in comparison to the gorgeous cerulean of her gaze. To the way it envelopes you and electrifies you and warms you all at once. She is a vision. She is everything you want to look upon. And her eyes dart between your own, carrying shock and admiration with them. You don’t know what to do. You don’t know what’s happening. This doesn’t feel like romance anymore. This isn’t contentment. You don’t know what this is. You don’t know why you want to lean into her and fall.
And you don’t know why she decides to pull away.
“I’m sorry,” she says so quickly, so quietly, you think it’s just a whisper of the wind. “I’m sorry. I can’t.”
Her eyes are still wide, but they’ve been captured by something terrible. Something sad. You open your mouth - to say what? - you don’t know. But she’s taking a few steps back and you close it. Her hair is still perfect, but there’s one strand loose. It flits wildly in front of her ear. A sign of her loss of control, perhaps. A sign that someone got through. She’s not a guarded woman and yet she is. She’s not private and yet she is. You didn’t have the deepest talk of all time and yet you did. You don’t know what to do. You don’t know what to say to get her to stay. So you just say her name.
“Larissa-”
“It’s been very nice to meet you, Iris,” she murmurs, interrupts, clears her throat, and adjusts the purse on her shoulder. Those blue eyes glance around madly, like she’s scared of being caught. “But I’m afraid I have to go now. I have a busy day tomorrow.”
“Your flight leaves at seven.” You don’t know why that’s the thing you say. You don’t know what that’s going to do - but before you can even hope to say anything else, she nods and looks at you again. With unwavering strength. With a hint of an apology.
“Yes. It does.” Her lips press together firmly. “I hope you find what you’re looking for.”
And with that whisper, softer than the distant break of your heart, she’s turning around and walking off into the rain.

Your tentative knock on the office door was answered with a ‘come in’, British accent soft from the other side and her smile greeted you as soon as you opened it.
“Ah, Y/N, take a seat.”
“What’s this about, Principal Weems?” You asked and the gentle smile she looked at you with from behind her desk showed she sensed your apprehension.
“Nothing to be nervous about.” She reassured. “I’ve heard you’ve been having some issues lately - slipping grades and a few late attendances.”
“I’m sorry, Principal Weems. I’ll try and do better.”
“We’re just concerned, you’re not in any trouble. You’re an exceptional student of Nevermore University, we’d hate for you to fall behind when we could help.”
“Oh, well I suppose I’ve been a little overwhelmed lately. I don’t know what happened, I just fell behind in my studies and then stayed up late trying to fix it and then I started being late and tired and now I’m falling even further behind and my grades are-”
“Okay, breathe.” She interrupted you gently and you hadn’t even noticed the tears rolling down your cheeks, weeks of bubbling overwhelm spilling over. “We’re here to help, okay? Don’t cry, come here.”
You stepped over to the other side of her desk with a sniffle and even with her sitting in her chair you could tell how tall she is, being so close to her also didn’t do much to lessen the crush you’ve been harbouring on her for a while.
Her hands were cool against your warm cheeks when she cupped them, thumbs wiping over your tears.
“It’s okay, we’ll work it out, hm?” Larissa cooed, shocking you with a kiss to your teary cheeks, pecking away the salty drops with soft lips. You’d never seen her eyes up close, how perfect and blue they are and how they look into yours with such kindness.
You must have had a major brain short circuit because you let your nose brush against her cheek, your breath on her lips before you closed the space. What you expected to be a push away or a stern word on boundaries was actually a reciprocation. Her lips pressed back into yours, kissing you firmly with the taste of chamomile tea on her tongue when she swiped it across your bottom lip.
The kiss deepened in a way you could’ve only dreamed of with her tongue licking into your mouth and her teeth grazing your lip while her hands held onto your waist; you were stuck in a trance of one another as she guided you backwards until you were sitting atop her neatly sorted desk and her hands planted themselves either side of you where she leant over.
Your hand found the back of her neck, fiddling with the loose stray hairs that were softer than you’d imagined while hers crept up the side of your waist, brushing against the bare skin beneath your shirt in a way that made you shiver. The sigh you let out into her mouth made her smirk against you before she pulled away breathlessly, continuing with a trail of kisses over your cheek, along your jaw and your neck.
You held onto her tighter when she sank her teeth into the pulsepoint of your neck, sucking at your skin harshly enough to leave a mark behind, soothing it with a lick of her tongue against you that felt like heaven.
“Such a precious young thing.” She cooed beside your ear as her fingers pulled open the button of your trousers, lifting your shirt over your head before musingly stroking her hands over your exposed skin. You avoided her gaze as she stared over your body, shrinking away in your vulnerable state but she took your chin between her thumb and forefinger, nudging your head upwards to face her. “Don’t be shy, sweetheart, okay?”
“Mhm.” You nodded, holding the material of her blazer as she smiled down at you and she let you push it past her shoulders until the smooth skin of her arms was beneath your touch instead.
“I’ve wanted you ever since I lay my eyes on you. Such an innocent thing you are, a pure white dove for mommy to take as her own.” She uttered with her lips brushing over yours, your head span at her words and she huffed a laugh at how you pulled her ever closer by her hips.
Strong hands pulled your trousers down your legs and darkened lusting eyes devoured your form, exposed and at her will. You so desperately wanted to touch her, hands itching at the thought of how every inch of her body would feel under your fingertips and as though she’d read your thoughts broke the heated silence.
“Let me take care of you today, I’m sure we could find time for you to repay the favour.” She breathed with a wink. “D’you want me, darling?”
“Yes, mommy, I need you.” You whined, unaware you could sound so pathetic but with her hands squeezing your bare thighs and her body so close that you could feel the radiating warmth, you were putty in her hands. Pliable and completely at Larissa Weem’s mercy.
You shivered at the soft scratching of her nails along your flesh as they scraped up your thighs, teasing you with her touch nearing where you needed it most as her lips claimed yours again with all the passion you could handle. You sighed into her mouth with the feeling of her fingers sliding through your folds, feeling how wet she’d made you earned you a low moan at the back of her throat. It only made her hungrier.
Her long fingers pushed into your pussy easily with a curl that nudged at your sweet spot and the thumb that drew circles over your clit made your hips buck into her hand in a desperate chase for the perfect feeling.
The way you felt around her fingers made her groan against your chest where her smeared lipstick lips kissed your skin and her teeth grazed against you. She could hear how wet you were with each thrust of her digits into your cunt, she revelled in the choked moans tumbling past your lips and the way you grabbed onto her shoulders for any semblance of grounding whilst she fucked you on her desk.
Your breath was hot against her neck where she let you scatter sloppy kisses through laboured breathing, you could smell her sandalwood and rose perfume and the gentle coconut shampoo you didn’t know she used until now. Your senses were all consumed by her, you were entirely enraptured by her, caught in her trap and you never want to be set free.
The coil in your belly tightened and tightened, your brows furrowed with your bottom lip clasped between your teeth at any attempt at keeping quiet and your nails dug into her upper arms. Larissa felt your pussy clenching around her fingers as your orgasm crept up on you and you buried your face in the crook of her neck as you came with a moan, hips moving on instinct to drag out your high as much as you could with your head reeling blissfully.
“That’s it sweetheart.” She spoke, drunk on the sight of you cumming onto her fingers, dripping down to her knuckles.
You watched in a daze as she pulled away from you with her svelte fingers glistening in the light with your slick coating them, dragging her tongue along them seductively with a hum, sucking them clean of any remnants of you she could find.
“Mm, forbidden fruit is much more sweet.” She murmured with a voice coated in a lusting rasp, kissing you so you could taste yourself on her tongue.
She was tender when she helped you dress yourself, a soft and gentle touch to make you look presentable just in time for a knock to sound at the door and Ms Thornhill’s head to poke round.
“Thank you, Principal Weems.” You smiled sheepishly.
“Any time.” She responded with a look only the pair of you could ever understand. “And remember, I’m here to help. Come to me anytime if you’re feeling stressed and don’t forget our appointment tomorrow afternoon.”
Your face was hot as you walked through the halls to your room but you were counting down the minutes until you were in her office again.

Cigarette Daydreams
This is the first bit I ever publish ! This is a Larissa Weems/fem!reader story, I hope you like it ! A bit angsty, a bit fluffy.
Warnings : none
You used to be a teacher at Nevermore along with Larissa before she was a principal. You had a brief but intense relationship that you ended to go deal with your own issues. Years later, you come back and have to face Larissa again. Things are rocky at first, up until the Rave’n night where you finally discuss your past, and eventually, your future.
Standing in the darkness of a secluded spot in the gardens, you sighed before you leaned on a pillar. Tonight had been one chaotic night. You had made sure that all the students at the Rave’n went back to their rooms, and most of them were now on their way for a midnight shower. Your heart went to the maintenance janitor who would have to scrub all of that red paint out of the white bathrooms. Shaking your head, you dived into your pocket to grab your pack of cigarettes. You tucked one in between your lips and lit it before taking a long drag.
"You know you're not allowed to smoke on school's grounds, even if you're not a student."
You turned around and noticed Larissa standing behind you. Like you, she had changed into other clothes – none of you really had a choice, anyway. She had traded her fancy party dress for a comfortable wool dress. She wasn't wearing any make-up, but still kept her hair in a strict bun. She somehow managed to look even better than she did in your memories.
"Damn," you said, "I hope no one's gonna tell on me. Do you think I'm gonna get in trouble in the principal's office ?"
She snorted and crossed her arms on her chest, taking a few steps towards you.
"I'm sure my silence can be arranged if you share." she sighed.
You frowned and reached in your pocket for your pack, offering her one.
"I didn't know you smoked."
"I don't." she said as she accepted your flame, "Just one if I've been really stressed. And after tonight..." she trailed off.
"Yes." you nodded, "Tonight was a lot. Especially for you."
"At least it was only paint.", she commented, "Not real blood. Which means it won't smell like copper in the Main Hall. But it's going to take ages before we can get rid of all of the stains."
"No one's badly hurt," you reassured her, "and the boys responsible for that little joke have been handed to the local police. They’ll get what they deserve. Everything will be alright."
"Except it won't." she said as she shook her head, "Nothing is going to happen to them. To Jericho's people, it's nothing but a harmless children's prank, and after what happened to the statue on the fountain... I'm afraid the whole town is going to celebrate this humiliation." she took a long drag of her cigarette, "And the parents... I don't know what to tell them. It's supposed to be a safe haven for their children to grow and experience life in its fullest, and tonight I failed to..."
"Hey," you stopped her, placing your hand on her arm, "Stop it. You did not fail anything. Until this last dance, the party was perfection. Everyone was having so much fun. Someone or something's after this place, and that's also why I'm here. You're not alone in this, and I know you wouldn't let anything happen to these children.", you squeezed her arm gently, "And I won't either."
She did not answer immediately. Instead, her blue eyes bore into yours, and you both stood in silence for a moment. You dropped your hand and stuffed your cigarette's butt in your pocket ashtray. You handed it to her and she did the same as you.
"Thank you." she whispered, "It means a lot to me.”
"It's okay. I really mean it. You..." you swallowed with difficulty before you added, in a low voice, "You mean a lot to me, Larissa. You always did. And I mean that, too."
She stiffened a little and turned her head towards the dark gardens. She let out a deep breath before she shook her head :
"It's in the past. But thank you."
"Is it, though ?" you took a step closer to her, "Is this thing we have a thing of the past ?"
She let out a deep breath through her nose and closed her eyes.
"It has to be. For the simple reason that it cannot be any other way."
She turned on her heels and started heading towards the building, but you grabbed her wrist and held her in place.
"We're not done talking, Issa."
"Don't call me that." she hissed.
"Why can't it be any other way ? Why do you have to be so controlling of everything, why do you resist it ?"
"Controlling ?" she tore her wrist out of your grip, "Not everyone can get away from their responsibilities by running away like you did. I have a ton of responsibilities. I have to be stable, for this school, for these kids, and for myself."
You crossed your arms on your chest and bit the inside of your cheeks. That stung, but there was a part of truth there.
"Would you at least listen to me if I tried to explain myself ?" you asked, despair clear in your voice.
"Explain what ? Why you ran away and let me with no answer, no news, for years ? Or are you going to explain why you treated me like the dirt on your shoes days before your disappearance ?"
Even in the dark of the night, you knew her face was slightly red in anger. Her breath was labored, and before you could mutter a word, you saw her turn her back to you.
"Issa !”
“Stop calling me that !” she replied without looking back at you, “I don’t care for your answers or explanations. I needed them years ago. Now they mean nothing. Good night.”
She took a few quick steps before you shouted :
“Larissa ! Come back now. Come back and listen to me." your tone was uncharacteristically firm, "Hear me out on this, just a moment. Let me say my piece, and then I'll do anything you want me to."
She stopped in her tracks, with her fists clenched and her shoulders tense.
"You had years to say your piece."
"I know. If it really doesn't matter to you, you can walk away and never look back to me. I'll just complete my job here, and I'll be on my way."
"Leaving again," she scoffed as she turned to look at you, "how original."
"You don't want me to stay with you, but you don't want me to leave either." you retorted, "What is it that you want ?"
She considered your words for a moment, and for a few seconds you felt like you had a point. She nodded and stared back at you, inviting you to talk. You exhaled a breath that you apparently had been holding before you spoke :
"I'm not proud of what I did. It was reckless, and stupid, and frankly irresponsible and hurtful. I profoundly regret it – I've spent years regretting it. Not that it changes a thing," you said as you felt she wanted to interrupt, "But I still want you to know that. You deserve an apology, and an explanation, even though I should have done it years ago. Truth is, I missed you every single day since the day I left. I was too young, and too lost to even understand what was going on. You were older than me, and you had ambitions, you had a plan for yourself – I did not. All I had was a profound hate for who I was, for being an outcast, and... And even surrounded by my peers, I felt so isolated."
You swallowed few tears and clenched your jaw. Larissa, on the other hand, seemed less angry and more concerned. You ran your hand through your hair and sighed :
"I've fucked us up, I know. You didn't deserve any of what I did to you, and you did not deserve me leaving. You didn't deserve to think it was your fault. You were never lacking, and I'm sorry that I made you feel like you were.", you shook your head and closed your eyes, a few tears finally escaping your eyelids, "But I miss you, Larissa. And I don't think I'll ever stop missing you."
There. It was done. The words were out, and your feelings were laid bare before her. You wiped your cheeks gently and let out yet another sigh. The silence you now shared with her was heavy and uncomfortable, so different from the one you used to share on peaceful nights, full of knowing looks and warm affection. You buried your hands in your pockets as you made your mind ; it was time to go. You had said your piece, after all.
"My whole life, I felt like I wasn't important."
Her voice stopped you in your tracks as you walked past her. You shifted and watched her, with her eyes on the floor, and her hands fidgeting.
"I've always felt second best, inadequate. I'm not saying that because, like everyone here, I'm an outcast. That must have played a part, but there was so much more. I wasn't pretty like other girls. “The stately sequoia tree”, they used to call me. I wasn't... I wasn't Morticia Frump. I was the girl no one remembered existed except before a test, when they didn’t have any notes, the girl people forgot about at the end of classes, the girl who wasn't invited in town. I know it's probably stupid, because it happened so long ago, but in some ways I feel like I haven't changed that much."
She finally turned to watch you, and you noticed tears in her own eyes as well.
"What I'm trying to say is... I did not feel like this with you. When we met, you managed to make me believe I could be someone's first choice for once. That I wasn't going to be tossed away at the first sign of another opportunity. When you left..."
She swallowed the tears for a moment and fought the sobs, her lips visibly trembling.
"When you left, it destroyed this confidence I've been building. It left a hole in me. My whole world crashed down. I was back at square one, and God, I missed you so much too, it hurt me so badly. But despite this, in a way... I've never stopped missing you either."
She took a deep breath and ran her hand into her coiffed white hair before she talked again, her voice barely above a whisper now :
"What's so confusing in all of this is that you're back, and everything is back with you. I tried to hate you at first, tried so hard not to fall back into those feelings I used to have and... Well, as you see, it seems like I've failed again."
You stood there for a moment, taking in her words, the confession she just made. It might have been chilly outside tonight, but right now you felt like your body was on fire, but also it felt rooted in place.
"You're important, Larissa. To me, you mean everything." you finally said.
You heard a shuddering breath leave her lips. She moved to turn her head away, but you were quicker : you took a step towards her and rose a hand to her face, cupping her face gently. Prompting her to look at you, you noticed two tears slipping from her eyes. Wiping them with the pad of your thumbs, you leaned in, drawing her face closer to yours.
"Is this okay ?" you whispered.
After a second, she nodded and closed the distance between your lips. A whimper escaped your throat, and you immediately deepened the kiss, your arms circling her waist to pull her closer, infinitely closer to your body. You felt her own arms wrapping around your neck. When your tongue caressed her bottom lip, it was her turn to groan. The sound almost suprised her, and she immediately pulled back, much to your surprise.
"We can't," she breathed, "please, we can't. Not here."
"The students have all gone to bed. There's no one out there."
"Please, let's just... Just think, for a moment."
You pulled away with a groan, immediately missing the warmth of her breath against your face, and the softness of her lips against yours. She looked at you and smiled :
"Well, at least I'm grateful for the lack of make-up."
You giggled and looked into her eyes in awe, butterflies swirling in your heart and your belly.
"I wanna do this again." you said, "I want it a lot, actually. If you ever feel like you can forgive me and trust me again, I'll be there."
She did not answer immediately, but a light smile adorned her lips. She pushed a piece of hair out of your face and sighed.
"I... Might need a little more convincing before I can say I fully trust you." she leaned in and kissed your lips chastely, "But I am willing to try and do this with you. Because I want you back, too."

You had been at Nevermore as a teacher for three months now. And the second Larissa Weems had caught on to your little crush on her, you had become the woman’s plaything.
Normally, the tall principal was reserved and formal. But when you were placed in front of her… a squirming, blushing mess… the woman couldn’t refuse the urge to toy around.
And Larissa would stop in a heartbeat if she thought that it was making you uncomfortable or drawing any negative connotation. But she never got that idea from you. In fact, you seemed to only respond more positively to her antics…
It had all started small with longer glances, light touches, and extra praise. But Larissa wasn’t playing to be easy and nice. No, she was playing dirty. She was playing to seduce.
~~~
It had been sixth months now since you joined the Nevermore staff as a teacher, and there was only one thing on your mind these days…
~~~
“Hope I’m on your mind during the most innapropriate times, Darling…” the blonde purred in your ear, as you walked past her on the way out of the weekly staff meeting.
Your breath hitched and your cheeks blushed fusia as you rushed out of the meeting.
~~~
On the annual teacher review days, you stuttered your way through your classes with Larissa sitting in the back of the classroom. As the last class left for the day the blonde came over to your desk to review her findings with you.
As she got up to leave, she leaned forward and whispered, “Hope you lose focus during conversations, going non-verbal imagining me putting you in all fours, Darling…”
She then leaned back, nodded curtly, and left. Leaving you a flushed, horny mess.
~~~
On a Saturday morning, you were in the courtyard, enjoying your book when the blonde principal came up behind you.
“Oh, What are you reading, Darling…?” She purred.
Your eyes widened at the sultry voice of the tall woman. Larissa then came up right behind you, bending down do that her lips were ghosting the shell of your ear.
“Cat got your tongue…?” She playfully purred.
“I… Dickens—!” You chocked out.
At this, Larissa hummed in approval.
“Hope you dream with my voice calling out your name, Darling…” she husked, before standing back up and walking away as if nothing had happened.
~~~
You were prone to insomnia episodes, which sometimes left you in the teachers kitchen at 2am on a Friday. No one else was usually ever there.
Usually.
Except today, when you walked into the lounge to make some tea, you found a certain tall blonde already warming the kettle. As your gaze met hers, she smiled lightly and nodded in recognition of your presence.
“Can’t sleep?” she asked with her hypnotic british accent.
You simply nodded.
Words had gone out the door as you had walked in.
She kindly poured your cup of tea and then hers. Walking past you, her arm lightly brushed yours and her lips brushed the shell of your ear,
“Hope you cum multiple times thinking of me, Darling…” she hummed.
You gulped, scurrying back to your quarters.
~~~
But what really did it for you was at the Poe Cup…
You’d gone out to watch the games and to support your students. But the entire time, all you could focus on was Larissa. And her interactions with a colleague of yours, Marilyn. It was obviously flirtatious. And it made your skin crawl.
Why…? You weren’t jealous, we’re you…?
You left the Poe Cup, walking back up to the school, in a bad mood. And as you walked up the path, the tall blonde brushed your shoulder ever so slightly…
“Hope you salivate and yearn and groan in frustration for not having me as yours…” She purred in a hushed tone.
Fuck. This woman had you in a chokehold…
And you had had enough.
~~~
You rapped on Larissa’s door with intent. When you heard her voice, you entered and slammed the door behind you. But now as you were standing in front of the tall goddess, you lost all words and trains of thought.
“Why Hello, Darling…” Larissa purred, looking up from her work, “Why don’t you take a seat?”
You gulped and nodded, sitting down.
“What can I help you with…?” She purred.
You took a deep breath.
“I… I’m done with whatever this is… or isn’t…” you stuttered, looking everywhere but the blonde’s eyes.
At this, Larissa got up from her chair and loomed over you, grabbing your chin for you to look at her and invading all your personal space. Your eyes widened as blush crept up your cheeks.
“Oh, you’re done are you…?” She taunted.
Your breathing was erratic as you nodded shakily.
“I want to hear you say it, Darling…” She lustfully husked, “Or… You can get down on your knees…”
You immediately dropped to your knees, looking up at the blonde for further instruction.
“That’s what I thought…” Larissa chuckled.
Larissa then elegantly removed her skirt and the bulge behind her knickers became apparently present to you. Your face turned tomato red. She then removed her knickers to reveal her hardened, pre-cum leaking dick.
Fuck, she was massive…
“Oh that’s right…” Larissa tauntingly purred, “I forgot to tell you… I’m a shapeshifter…”
“That’s… hot…” you whimpered.
Larissa chuckled at your dumbfoundness.
“I’ve been trying to get your attention for months now, you know…” she purred, “So why don’t you be a good little slut and suck me off…”
Your breath hitched, the nickname going straight to your core, and you nodded eagerly. Larissa placed on hand behind her on the desk and the other behind your head, as you began to take her member into your mouth. You licked the stripes of salty pre-cum, before taking her in as deep as you could go. The blonde only pushed you further, her hand forcefully bobbing your head up and down on her dick.
“Oh that’s it…” Larissa groaned, her head lolling back, “Taking me like such a whore…”
She pushed your head down even further, causing you to gag slightly.
“Breathe, whore…” She purred wickedly.
You two continued these administrations until Larissa was right on the edge.
“Make me cum, sweet slut…!” Larissa groaned.
Larissa crashed over the edge quickly after that, spurting her hot ropes of cum down your throat. You moaned at the action. When she had finished, the blonde pulled out of your mouth, stuffing all the leaking cum over your face back into your mouth with her fingers.
“Swallow.” She commanded.
You obeyed and swallowed her entire load, looking back up to the blonde with anticipation.
“Good girl…” Larissa purred.
Your breath hitched and your eyes widened.
“Oh, does someone like being praised…?” She taunts.
“Yes…” you whimper, nodding.
The blonde’s eyes sparkled with lust and delight. She then reached down once more to wipe one dribble of her cum still on your chin, then stuffing her finger back in your mouth. You happily sucked it off, returning her digit with a pop!.
“I’ll keep that in mind for next time…” She purred, winking at you.
~~~
You spent the next days with constant slick in between your thighs, not being able to get your mind off that woman.
You walked down the corridors, papers in hand, which you were to deliver to the headmistress. You took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
“Come in…!!” Larissa called.
You entered the room, shutting the door behind you. When Larissa looked up from her work, her whole demeanor shifted. She began to put away all her paperwork. Memories of what happened last time you were in this room came flooding back…
“Darling…” she wickedly purred, “Why don’t you come over here to me. I’ll take those papers…”
You treaded over to Larissa’s side of the desk and handed her the paperwork, your gaze fluttered everywhere but to the blondes.
“Good girl…” She cooed, taking and putting away the paperwork.
Larissa’s gaze racked up and down your figure. She then stood up and towered over you. Your eyes widened and finally met her gaze. She had a wicked smirk and fiery eyes. She started walking towards you, and you started to slowly back up, until she had you pinned against the wall. You could feel her breath, she was inches away from you…
“Do you want kiss me, Darling…?” Larissa taunted.
You gulped and nodded.
“Then beg, sweet slut…” she husked in your ear.
Your breath hitched and you could feel your knickers completely wetted through, as your arousal now spread to your thighs.
“Please… please kiss me… fuck me… please please…” you whimpered.
At your words, the blonde smirked and gladly complied, connecting her lips to yours. A breathy moan escaped your throat as you tasted the woman. She then slid her tongue into your wet cavern, eliciting a string of whimpers and moans from your lips, which Larissa happily swallowed.
Her hands began to wander around your figure, teasing you relentlessly. You quickly caught on and began stripping and connecting your lips to hers as much as you could. Your lips were connected until you both needed to breathe, and then you were both breathlessly taking off the rest of each others clothing.
Now you were both breathless and naked informer of each other. Without another word, the woman picked you up, wrapping your legs around her waist. She then carried you to her desk chair, sitting down and having you straddle her in the chair. You instinctually bucked your hips into the blondes growing member. Larissa groaned out at your action.
“Oh you poor, sweet slut, you’re dripping…” Larissa chuckled wickedly.
You whimpered in response, grinding her hips against Larissa’s dick and looking up to the blonde in desperation.
“Please…” you whimpered, giving her your best puppy dog eyes.
At this, Larissa’s eyes shimmered back at you and she smiled. She then lined up her hardened dick with your soaked cunt. Without warning, you sank down on her, letting a guttural moan escape you as she bottomed you out.
“You needy whore…!” Larissa groaned in pleasure , “Need my dick that bad, do you…?”
You began riding her as best as you could. The blonde was quick to stabilize you with her hands on your hips as she started rutting up into you.
“Yes yes yes…!!” You chanted, screwing your eyes shut tight in overwhelming pleasure and holding on to Larissa tightly as she fucked up into you.
~~~
After hours of Larissa having her way with you… You laid, splayed out on the blondes desk, panting heavily. Larissa was gripping the desk, leaning towards you, panting heavily as well.
“Fuck…” you breathed out, smiling and resting your head on the desk.
The office was a mess… Items and clothing scattered everywhere… And it was dark now…
Larissa chuckled lightly. You moved to sit up and winced from the soreness. The woman was quick to come to your aid.
“Slowly, sweet girl…” she cooed.
You ignored the blondes advice and went to stand up, and your legs gave out on you in seconds, causing you to collapse onto the ground. Larissa couldn’t contain her amusement and light giggles.
“I told you…” she chuckled, swiftly helping you up and placing you in her chair,
“Did I fuck you so thoroughly, Darling…?” She teased you lightly.
“Shut up…” you mumbled.
“Darling… Don’t make me spank you…” Larissa teasingly taunted.
Your breath hitched and your eyes widened.
“Sorry—! I’m sorry…”
Larissa smiled lightly and kissed your forehead.
“How about a bath, hmmmm…?” The woman hummed.
The 6ft Tall; Down on All Fours.
Larissa Weems x Reader
SUMMARY
Larissa shifts into a cat to get close to you.
A/N: I got the pics above from Pinterest. She's so cuteeee. Of course it's not proofread, none of my work is. Also, forgive me if I'm ungrammatical, english is not my mother tongue. Hope this makes sense to y'all. Hahasz.
Larissa have been watching you through the window of her usual café for quite some time now. She finds you adorable and she just can't keep her eyes off of you.
She doesn't love their coffee but she sure does love watching you pet stray cats. Suddenly-- a 'brilliant' idea popped into her head.
'I should shift into a cat.' She shook her head at the thought. But, after a few days she finds herself shifting into a cat, and walking over to you, 'best decision ever made' she meowed and purred at you when you went on to pet her.
She doesn't even realise that she's doing it more often. What seems like a brilliant plan for her is just plain crazy for most people. It's like her senses are out of place. You've reduced her to a hopelessly in love shapeshifter, transforming into a cat, for all the goddesses' sake. She had lost her common sense, her body having a mind of its own. She just can't help it.
From a strong, powerful, and highly intelligent woman, to a helpless fluffy cat. A cat as white as the cloud in a clear and warm morning sky. From a 6ft tall woman, to a cat down on all fours.
While you pet the cat, you went and talk to it. "What's your name, baby?" You spoke to it, "where's your owner?" Catrissa purred to answer and it translate to 'I'm right under her palms, she just doesn't know it yet.'
The interaction became frequent. One time, you talked to the cat and told her how your day went, until it became a daily routine.
Catrissa felt at home under your palms. You pick her up to hug her and she lets you, unlike the other stay cats. You hugged her, bringing her on your chest and squeezing softly, and told her you like her most and that she's your favourite cat. Catrissa meowed and it translate to 'I love you.'
You were waiting for Catrissa, but you don't see her anywhere so you decided to go into the café.
Once inside, you bumped to a very tall, goddess of a woman, which you would later know goes by the name, Larissa Weems.
"Oh god-- sorry, Goddess. Wow!" You inhaled deeply as you speak, "You're breathtaking." And you exhaled loudly and ask "are you real?"
Larissa is red and all flushed, how can she not, when you, the woman she transform into a cat for, bombarded her with compliments. She manages to keep her cool and answers "yes, darling. I'm very much real."
"Cool, cool." You nodded as you reach your hand out for her to shake, "I'm Y/N." Larissa quickly took your hand and shake them vigorously and replied "I know." You're confused by her answer and you thought to yourself 'how'd she know me?'
You decided to just nod and ask her, "oh yeah? Where and how?" Larissa suddenly remembers how she turns into a cat, she remembers how she's always walking up to you, just so you would pet her. How you would tell her about your day. Your frustration and your rants about certain things. She felt embarrassed and slightly guilty.
Larissa heats up even more while still holding your hand so you feel her heat up and see her face turn even more red. You took your hand and she immediately misses the contact, but to her surprise, you took her wrist and pull her closer. You put your other hand up to feel her forehead "are you okay, miss?" You inquired and she gulped and responded "I'm fine, darling." You slowly took your hands back to let her go and said "okay" as you slightly step back.
You squeezed her hand softly and give her a warm welcoming smile. "I have to go." Larissa rushes to get out the door, but before she could leave, you shouted, making her halt. "Hey goddess, I didn't get your name." You said and she turns on her back, and cleared her throat to reply, "it's Larissa Weems, darling." Then she rushes to leave. And you're left there completely mesmerized by her.
While walking towards the café, Catrissa shows up again, making you stop on your tracks to pet her. You told Catrissa about Larissa Weems. You told her how you felt something shift when you first laid eyes on her. How it was rather strange, all the while familiar.
Ever since, you started seeing Larissa at the café more often. Everytime you see her at the cafe, you would make your way to her, and she to yours. You have small talks. Sometimes without your knowledge, your hands sometimes finds their home to Larissa's thigh, or her shoulder, or her wrists, or even her hands, sometimes fidgeting with her fingers as well. And everytime that you touch her, she suddenly have to rush out. It's not like you make her uncomfortable, no it's not that. Everytime you touch her, she loves it, but she would remember how she lied and keep on lying to you, and she would feel guilty.
You give her the warmest and the most welcoming smile. She could get lost in your eyes willingly. Everytime your skin meets hers, she heats up, and her heart beats faster. Pleasure and guilt are mixed up inside of her. She felt guilty for lying to you, but she just can't help it. She's irrevocably drawn to you, as you are to her without her knowledge, of course. Well, at least not yet. Until you bare your heart out to her, not her- her, the cat her.
One morning, you were playing with the cat, and your mind drifted to Larissa. "If she would let me, I would hug her like this--" you bring Catrissa to your face to hug her tightly yet softly. "And I would shower her with kisses, like this--" you showered the cat with kisses all over her face, the cat purred at your actions. You thought to yourself 'I probably shouldn't do this to a stray cat,' then you chuckled and smiled to yourself. You shook you head, unimpressed by your wimpiness. There's something about this cat that doesn't make it believable that she's a stray.
You apologises to the cat, "sorry I'm smothering you, baby." She meowed at you as you speak, and you have hoped that it translate to "No worries." Which it does, but with slight changes. Maybe it translates to "you can smother me all you want, darling." (If only I speak cat.) ;) "You're always so understanding. That's one of the reasons I like you more than the other cats on the street."
Larissa was rather frustrated about something at her work, and she needed to relax. It is midnight and she's already on her night gown, but her frustration never seem to fade, so she tossed and toss on her bed, wishing and wanting to sleep, but she just can't.
Another "brilliant" idea popped into her head. She transforms into a cat and make her way to you.
The sound of a mewling cat wakes you from your slumber. You try to find where the sound is coming from, and you found it on your window. It's Catrissa, scratching and mewling at your window. You wonder to yourself on how she got there and even know where you live, but you are sleepy as hell so you just let it slip off your mind. You let the cat in and it settles besides you on your bed. You're cuddling the cat as you went back to sleep.
The next morning. Your nose welcomed a familiar scent and inhaled it deeply and unashamedly. The cat you were spooning have turned into a person. A very tall, gorgeous, and exquisite person. You hugged the body tightly, and you felt them shift closer to you. A few seconds after, you finally come to your senses. You don't have someone to go to sleep with and cuddle like that.
You jumped out of your bed and blink two or three times. You even pinch yourself just to make sure you weren't dreaming. "Larissa?" She hummed when you called her name, as she turns to look at you. Seeing the look on your face, she look back on her body and she saw that she shifted back to her human form unknowingly.
She jumped out on the other side of the bed. "Y/N, darling." She smiles at you awkwardly. You put your hands on your face. You inhaled and exhaled sharply.
When you took your hand out of your face, you looked around trying to find the cat that you were cuddling last night. This feels like a dream, and things are so freaking unbelievable. 'How did she get here?' 'When did she get here?' 'Why is she here?' 'Where's the cat?' "What???" Your head was full of question, but that's all that came out your mouth.
"I can explain, Y/N." She said and you just nodded at her. You were still looking for the cat, "have you seen a cat?" Your eyes now met hers-- she gulped and exhaled and she trailed off, "yeah. --about that." She fidgets with her fingers.
You sat on the bed and signaled her to sit beside you, which she quickly followed. And she proceeds to explain and tell you everything. EVERYTHING.
She felt embarrassed. "You must really hate me right now." She finally gained the courage to look up at you, she was expecting to see disappointment plastered on your face, but instead, she saw you grinning widely.
You took her hand and held it tightly. "How can I ever hate you? When all you did was try and get close to me? I'm really impressed, rather amused." Your grin growing wide by the seconds. "Larissa Weems; Goddess. Shifts into a cat 'cause she likes my company and my embrace, instead of actually asking me out on an actual date." You chuckled at her softly. "Need not rub it in, darling." She said as she shook her head from side to side, she try to put her palms on her face with her free hand, to try and hide her embarrassment and save the last of her dignity. You looked at her and saw that she felt a little guilty, "oh baby, it's not an insult. I think it's way too adorable. My face is hurting from smiling, and my heart is swelling in my chest."
You pulled her into a hug, and she melts between your hands. You cupped her cheek and rests your hands at the back of her neck when her gaze fixated on you. "You are such a goddess. So cosmic, and yet so very, truly, and utterly human. It's incredible. No one can do it like you. You're so exceptional." Larissa went to hug you again and she hummed by the warmth you were giving. She frowned when you pulled away. But you quickly wiped it off her face when you pulled her into a kiss. A passionately slow, and savory kiss. When you pull away for air, you shower her face with kisses.
"Now, let's go back to sleep. I'm still sleepy as hell. You're so comfy and soft. I want to cuddle you again." You both lay in bed cuddling and you went right back to sleep. Larissa, on the other hand, lay there all flustered, extremely happy, and blissful.
Two years have passed. You were cuddling on the couch watching a movie after you have dinner. Even though Larissa is the taller one, you would always be the one spooning her. You inhaled through her neck and give it a quick peck and it gives shivers down her spine.
"Remember when you transform into a cat just so you could get close to me, instead of asking me on a date like any person would?" She chuckled at the thought, "That was rather embarrassing on my part, darling." "Oh baby," you looked at her lovingly, "that's nothing to be embarrassed of." You showered her with kiss while still embracing her tightly.
The memories of when she was a cat came flashing back, reminding her of what's currently happening, but now it's even better. Now that you're married.
"Have I ever told you that I will always love you for everything that you are?" You asked and she smiled softly, "yes, darling. All the time." And you continued, "well, did I ever tell you--" she speak at the same time as you, saying what you're saying word for word, "that I can't help it, I just simply love you." You both chuckled and you kiss her, this time on the lips.
You both grinned from ear to ear as you pull away for air. Both of your hands exploring each other's, like it never went and touch them before. You kissed again. Softly--- now harshly, and then...
You sat in Larissa’s office, bored out of your mind. She said she would be done in a minute like an hour ago. You sighed loudly to get her attention but she just ignored you. You heard her phone ringing and she picked it up and brought it to her ear. Sitting there waiting, an idea popped into your head. You walked in front of her desk to get her to look at you. Once she did, you started to take off your top, slowly and seductively.
She paused mid-sentence and gave you a warning look. You just smirked at her and proceeded to take off your panties from under your skirt and hand them to her.
“We're going to have to cut this conversation short today,” she said before hanging up the phone. She then got up and took your panties.
“Put your shirt back on. Now. Your parents are going to be here soon and you wouldn’t want them to find you bent over my desk now would you?”
“I think you’re going to have to make me,” you said with a smug look. You watched her and she walked around her desk towards you.
“Fine,” she said in a low voice before bending you over the desk, pinning your hands behind your back. She began to unzip your skirt and pulled it off you, leaving you standing in nothing but your bra.
“Is this what you wanted?,” she started to rub her fingers through your wet folds, “Mommy’s attention? Hm?” You let out a shaky breath.
“Yes.” You gasped when you felt a sting on your cheek.
“You’re such a needy little slut for mommy, right baby?” she spanked your other cheek even harder.
“Yes! Yes, I am! Please touch me, mommy?”
She chuckled at your desperation but her laugh was cut short by a knock on her office door.
“Shit,” she said under her breath.
“One second!” she turned to you, “Get under my desk. Now.” You scurried under her desk quickly while she fixed her appearance. Once she was done, you heard her say ‘come in’. She moved behind her desk again, taking a seat on her chair.
“What a nice office you have Larissa,” you heard your mother’s voice say.
“Why thank you Morticia,” You saw Larissa give her best fake smile. She hated your mom but acted like she didn’t.
They kept on talking about Wednesday’s behavior, her therapy sessions, and a bunch of other things that bored you out of your mind. You began to get uncomfortable under her desk. You tapped her leg as a way to tell her to hurry up but she just ignored you.
You huffed quietly but then you got another idea. You sat up and moved in between her legs. You started to run your hands up her calves. You saw her give you a quick warning look. You just innocently smiled at her before pushing her skirt and spreading her legs apart.
You pulled down her underwear to reveal her glistening pussy. You blew on it to tease her and you felt her shiver a bit. Without warning, you dove in and started eating her out like it was your last meal. You heard her moan which she disguised as a cough.
Larissa was good at hiding her expressions but not for long. You felt her hand sink into your hair and started to pull at it. She started to wrap up the conversation with your mother before she outed both you and herself. Once Morticia was out of the office, she push your face deeper into her sex and release a moan she had been withholding.
You began using your fingers while your mouth worked on her clit.
“Don’t you dare stop Y/n,” she panted.
“I didn’t plan to,” you said. Your voice sent vibrations to her core which made her squeeze your head between her thighs.
“You’re so good for mommy, baby.”
You looked up and we’re mesmerized by the view above. Little droplets of sweat coated her forehead, some white hairs sticking to it. Her chest rose and fell rapidly while her mouth was left agape.
“Baby, I’m close.” This made you speed up your pace, wanting to see her beautiful face as she came undone.
“I’m coming!” She started to grind her sex against your face to chase her climax. You helped her ride it out and once done you finally pulled away and gave her an innocent look.
“Don’t think this got you out of the punishment you will get tonight,” This made you pout and she laughed at your reaction before leaning down to give you a passionate kiss, tasting herself in the process.
Part 3 - Part 4
...(Y/N) responded, laying her bag at her feet and saying, "You could never say no to me."
 Those seven words caused Larissa to tap her nails onto her desk, that familiar phrase got the two of them into so much trouble when they were students - she couldn't help but allow a wicked grin to start forming on her face. "No, I suppose not. We were quite the pair back then," she said to the woman sitting in front of her desk, who replied with an uncertain, "Yes, we were weren't we?" They were in a difficult situation because neither of the women ever imagined meeting the other again. However, after so many years, here they were, face to face. Larissa had the power to decide what would happen to them. She could simply reject (Y/N)'s application and send her on her way, ignoring the old, unresolved problems she wanted to stay away from. Alternatively, she could accept the application and gain a friend on the staff in whom she could confide after they cut the BS and discussed what had happened. The choice was challenging, to put it mildly. "So..." (Y/N) said, breaking the awkward silence between them, "Should we go ahead with the interview?" The million-dollar smile returned to Larissa's face as she nodded. She decided that any unresolved issues between them could wait for now. She straightened her position on the chair and cleared her throat, slinking her manicured hands onto her computer and turning it on- opening the mail app to find (Y/N)'s qualifications that should have been sent to her beforehand. Larissa continued, maintaining the interview's formality, "Okay Professor Addams, let's get started."
They had reached the halfway point of the interview, and (Y/N) had expertly and accurately responded to each question, from classifying claw-litative data to the history of sociopathy. This only made Larissa's predicament worse. Surely, as a principal, she had a duty to hire someone with (Y/N)'s level of qualifications. "Well, it's clear that you have a wide range of skills and are very qualified... Welcome to the Nevermore team," Larissa said, quickly closing her laptop as she focused all of her attention on the woman in front of her, her eyes sweeping her from head to toe. (Y/N) noticed the principal’s wandering eyes, and sent a friendly wink once their eyes met once again- even if Larissa was her boss now, they still had a history. “Great,” she said, after winking, a smile creeping onto her face at the principal's flustered face, “Where will I be stationed?”. (Y/N) was ecstatic to begin her new job and have the opportunity to mould the minds of future generations of outcasts, but she was also ecstatic to be around the staff, the majority of whom were her old friends. Clearly aware of (Y/N)'s excitement, Larissa stood back up and moved closer to the new professor. Even though they pretended they didn't want to see each other again, the two women briefly shared a warm smile. The person who broke the shared expression was Larissa, who stood directly in front of (Y/N) while she was seated. Larissa was so tall over the woman's sitting position that (Y/N) had to tilt her head up to face Larissa. The principal simply knelt down slightly, which caused the new professor's breath to falter- almost as if she were out of breath. But when Larissa picked up the bag off the ground and firmly held it in her right hand, her excitement began to fade. “I’ll escort you to the quarters, I’m afraid we don’t have any single rooms open. So you’ll have to stay with me for now,” Larissa said with grace as she began to walk to the door regardless of the other woman’s response. (Y/N) hurriedly walked in the direction of Larissa, trying to keep up with the woman who was moving much more quickly than she was. “I’m not complaining.” She said in a hurried tone, as the two of them left the office and walked through the hallways side by side. (Y/N) found herself once more staring at the pictures of the alumni that were displayed in glass frames throughout the dimly lit, soggy hallways and immortalised for all time, leaving legacies of hundreds on the walls. When she saw a picture of herself and Larissa posing proudly and beaming for the Nevermore book club picture, she chuckled. “What made you so joyful?” Larissa questioned inquisitively: Surely (Y/N) wasn't that thrilled to be back? But when she followed the other woman's line of reasoning, she found the solution. “Oh.” She spoke softly while grinning as she recalled how they had founded the club. Despite being the only two people there, they always had a blast. But during their final meeting, they got into a rambling argument that caused (Y/N)'s disappearance after graduation. “We’re going to lose time dawdling over the past.” More firmly than she meant to, Larissa spoke. “oh, sorry.” Was all that (Y/N) could muster, hurt over Weems' abrupt rejection of their photo, suggesting that perhaps their relationship had changed for the worse. Larissa didn't say anything, just nodded and motioned for the professor to follow. They walked on in silence, with only the murmur of giggling students as background noise. Many of them gave (Y/N) curious looks, while others gave the pair a smug grin as they whispered among themselves. Larissa simply continued to the teachers' dorms, her heels clicking loudly on the stone floors beneath her, amplified by (Y/N)'s heeled boots. It appeared that she had learned to tune out the students' whispers, probably as a result of her many years serving as the academy's principal. She abruptly stopped moving and spun around to face the woman following her.
As a result of her abrupt stop, (Y/N) almost crashed into the tall woman in front of her. Instead, she simply looked at her with an awkward smile, her clumsiness made Larissa chuckle. “We’ve reached.” She said with an opening of the dark brown door behind her. The room itself was fairly large and fully wooden- not practical for a fire emergency. Larissa seemed to have settled down in the leftmost side of the room, as it was decorated with various light colours of cream and the occasional red. (Y/N) smiled to herself and made her way to the rightmost side of the room, and began to softly skim her hands over the soft blanket placed on the bed. The threads of yarn made a soft scratching noise as her long nails floated overtop them. She'd hum to herself as they got caught in between the threads, slightly jumping when the loud thud of her bag hitting the mattress of the bed next to her emerged. She was so caught up in the atmosphere that she hadn't realised that Larissa made her way over to her. "Prepare yourself." the taller woman said, not looking directly at the woman in front of her, "Your first class is in half an hour. When you're finished, make your way to the library, the staff is finalizing the plans for the next Rave'N which is in two days' time. Including today." and with this she forced a smile and left the room, allowing the new professor to unpack and prepare herself. (Y/N) looked uneasy, everything that went wrong between Larissa and herself was because of the Rave'N that took place during their school years. It was not something she was looking forward to at the very least, but it was something she expected- just not so soon. There was no use debating it, she simply sighed and grabbed her bag. Unbuckling the clamps and moving it over to the mahogany closet on the side of her living quarter; just by a hazy glassed window. She began digging through the array of clothes, the bag itself wasn't too large from the outside, but the inside was enchanted to fit a multitude of things; an old family heirloom. (Y/N) had packed every single clothing item she owned, this was her home now, for the time being anyways. "Cet air qui m'obsède jour et nuit...Cet air n'est pas né d'aujourd'hui" she began to mumble to herself, singing along to the marvelous tunes of édith Piaf, her hips slightly swaying to the make-believe music. She eventually prepared everything though, and changed into a different pencil skirt and blazer; this time it was muted pink, to symbolize her new journey. All the equipment she needed for her lesson was already in the classroom, all she needed to bring was herself. Her personal life could wait, her students awaited her, and off she went to make her way to the classroom for the very first time. Larissa didn't know why she got so worked up over the reminder of what happened during her years' Rave'N. She told herself countless times again and again that she got over the fact that the person she wanted to ask showed up with another person; even if they knew she was going to ask them. Here she was, sitting in her office after leaving the dormatory- in her hand was her old yearbook. (Y/N) must be in the middle of her lesson by now she thought to herself, humming a melancholy tune, maybe she should see if her teaching is any good. Maybe she'll do it in a few minutes, she wanted to stare at the old yearbook photograph in front of her, her manicured nails skimming over the person's face. It was quite a tragedy, what had happened to her, she felt betrayed. There's nothing worse than the hurt of rejection, especially when it's from someone she loves- erm.. loved. "Tsk" she muttered, clicking her tongue, "Goddammit Addams...". and she meant it. She still remembers how she was a nervous mess in the hallways; telling her friends how she'd ask Addams to the Rave'N. In fact, she was overheard by the person she was going to ask, which only cut her deeper when they showed up with someone else. Was her past love unrequited? The thought of it made Larissa furrow her brows and close the yearbook.
Yet, it wasn’t Gomez Addams she was referencing, oh no, it was (Y/N) Addams. Eventually, she decided that there was no use thinking about this anymore, and threw the yearbook aside, standing up from her previous seat to make her way to the door. the hallways were quieter than they were earlier today, most of the students were either in class or participating in various clubs. At least she wouldn’t have to deal with the giggling and gossiping right now, she had more pressing matter at hand. Her destination was the library, where all the teachers had agreed to meet to finalize some finishing touches for the Rave’N. Larissa certainly didn’t want to have the mood dampened, so she would need to stop avoiding the elephant in the room and confront it, which meant dealing with the issues between herself and (Y/N). The staff needed to be harmonious to ensure the utmost safety for the students after all, no other reasons. The library doors towered over Larissa, which was a rare sight to behold, they were dark oak wood and engraved with stories and tales from Edgar Allan Poe’s writings. Her hand grazed over an engraved drawing of a raven right above the handle, the embossed wood making a soft scratching noise as she did so. It would not be easy to deal with her problems, so she sighed and gently pushed the door open to find everybody waiting there for her. Surely she hadn’t been that late for the meeting? But she apparently was, as disgruntled staff members sat together on one of the library tables, their discussions coming to a hushed tone as Larissa walked in and cleared her throat. “Apologies for being late, I had some things I had to deal with. Student records and such” she said, the lie easily escaping from her mouth with a smile. She had a reputation to uphold after all. “No worries,” said another staff member, Ms. Thornhill, who was sitting at the head of the table, “We already went through most of the things..” she explained. Larissa couldn’t argue, she was late after all, “Perfe-“ she said as she scanned the table, noticing an empty seat. The seat she was supposed to sit in, “Where is Professor Addams?” She questioned, almost automatically. “Oh- uh” Thornhill stuttered, not expecting the principal to have a sudden interest in the new professors whereabouts, this was certainly interesting to say the very least. The confused faces that graced the rest of the staff definitely showed that they felt the same way. “She didn’t attend, said something along the lines of ‘I cant bear to relive it’” The red boot-wearing woman explained, “I have no idea what she meant”
Larissa scoffed, shaking her head, “Never mind then. Let’s just focus on finishing this work” and with that she wasn’t questioned any further by the rest of the staff. As they continued throughout their planning and discussion, Larissa couldn’t stop thinking about (Y/N)- the woman burnt into the principals mind like a paper on an open flame. The flame in Larissa’s mind grew larger the more she thought about the woman, about her stupid smile, and her idiotic ignorance in going with someone else to the Rave’N back then. She was supposed to go with her, she was supposed to be smiling stupidly at her. Not with some half-assed random person! Larissa was the one that was supposed to be slow dancing with her, smelling that gorgeous flowery perfume that she loves so much.. and the feeling of the other woman’s lips against he…. Wait.. was she still in love with her??? There was no way, Larissa thought, no, she had gotten over her years go. She just wanted their friendship back, yeah… yeah. And so she would attempt to salvage it, by confronting (Y/N) about her disappearance, hopefully they would learn to understand each other.
(Y/N) hadn’t bothered to go to the meeting. Instead, here she sat, on her bed- engulfed in the blanket she was examining earlier that day. She didn’t want to increase the awkward tension between Larissa and herself by attending a meeting discussing the very same event that drew them apart. But she didn’t understand why it did, why was Larissa so upset to see her with someone else? Wasn’t Larissa planning to ask her cousin to the dance? So confusing. Of course, (Y/N) had considered the fact that since Larissa and herself were sharing a dormitory, that surely the other woman would confront her about it sooner or later. But she wasn’t prepared, the topic of their separation was the sun to her Icarus- she yearned to get it over with yet she knew that she would burn up if she drew to close. She didn’t want to be on bad terms with Larissa, she truly didn’t. Yet the woman wouldn’t leave her thoughts, from the assertive way she stood when she spoke, to the small smiles she used to give (Y/N) when their eyes would meet across a room. Over time (Y/N) developed feelings for the taller woman, her heart was completely shattered when she heard that Larissa was going to ask Addams to the dance- yet (Y/N) never considered that the Addams Larissa was referencing was actually her. The overwhelming return of these feelings and memories caused (Y/N) to start tearing up, she hadn’t even noticed it. Her heart skipped a beat when she heard the knocking on the door, and her fears were confirmed when Larissa walked in, looking assertive, with a furrowed brow. She softly clicked the door shut behind her and walked over to where (Y/N) was huddled up, crossing her arms as she roughly shut her eyes, “We need to talk, and sort this-“ her words were cut off when she opened her eyes to find (Y/N)‘s tear- stained face, her expression immediately softened. She couldn’t never stay mad at her, no matter what she did- her empathy and love for the other woman overpowered any negative connotations she had with her, she hated it, but she loved it too. And with this, Larissa sat down on the bed in-front of the professor and softly said,
“Are you okay?”
I hope you liked it!!! 💕 More to come very soon, I promise lots of comfort and fluff in the next one :,)
All of these years of hurt just because of a silly misunderstanding from both ends!!🥲🥲
It shouldn’t be happening, never should have even begun, you both knew that. But there was something about the forbidden that made your belly swarm, it made it taste that bit sweeter, knowing it shouldn’t happen.
Larissa hadn’t meant for it to happen, the glancing of her eyes towards your lips when your tongue would swipe across them before you spoke and how she’d find herself watching you with your friends. She’d taken to you when you’d excelled in your classes, finding it endearing how she’d see you reading intently in the university’s library.
At first it was a couple of conversations across a table about the book you were lost in, she was intrigued by your interests and the lengthy discussions you’d have. She had a few books of her own she thought you’d like and had invited you to her office to browse; the first time turned into a second and a third until it became a common occurrence.
At first it was a couple of conversations across a table about the book you were lost in, she was intrigued by your interests and the lengthy discussions you’d have. She had a few books of her own she thought you’d like and had invited you to her office to browse; the first time turned into a second and a third until it became a common occurrence.
What ended up being a late evening ended with a tired kiss to her lips, glancing up from your page to find her face so near, lit with an orange glow from her fireplace. You’d swallowed thickly at the closeness of her red painted lips and blue moonstone eyes darting from yours to your mouth, closing the space between you against your better judgement.
When you pulled away with widened eyes you hadn’t expected her to pull you back in with a hand cupping your cheek. You knew it wasn’t right when she kissed you goodnight before you left and when you ended the following evening in her bed; each time you parted ways you’d promise it’d be the last, that it couldn’t carry on. But temptation got the better of you both every time and neither of you could say with complete earnestness that it was anything but appreciated, sometimes taking a bite of the forbidden fruit is more sweet than it is poisonous.
Tonight was the night of the Nevermore University Rave’N dance and Larissa watched from the edge of the room, chaperoning with a glass of punch in her hand, ignoring the fact it had been spiked against her instruction. Though she was meant to be keeping an eye on the entire crowd she couldn’t help her lingering gaze on where you jokingly danced with your friends, where your outfit flattered your body and the lighting perfectly showed your smile. She couldn’t help but think it was an opportune moment to steal you away, when the hallways would be empty and you wouldn’t have to sneak back to your room - she’d thought perhaps you could feign sleeping elsewhere to your roommate and she could hold you through the night as she’d so desperately wanted to.
You caught her gaze above the crowd of people dancing, seeing the nod of her head towards the exit before she left her lipstick marked glass on the table beside her and made her way out. After a hurried excuse to your friends feigning a need for another drink, you followed after her being met with her hands on your waist as soon as you stepped into the hallway with the music muffling behind the doors as they closed behind you.
“Hi, sweetheart.” She spoke, immediately dipping her head into the crook of your neck with her lips brushing against the shell of your ear.
“Hi, Principal Weems.” You smiled up at her when she pulled away, watching the way her eyes darkened at the innocent lilt to your voice and the batting of your lashes.
Though the halls were empty you couldn’t risk lingering where anybody could see; wandering hands ushered you towards her room with all of the excitement of a rendezvous kept hidden between two people, hearts still beating at the excitement of sneaking around.
Her room held that familiar scent of rose and patchouli when she pushed your back against the inside of her door, a smile pulling at her lips and her hands inching beneath your shirt to lie against your skin.
“You look positively ravishing, sweetheart.” She murmured against your lips, closing the space with the flavour of raspberry punch and a tartness of the liquor you definitely weren’t responsible for pouring into the bowl. Your hand reached up to cup her cheek, holding her close as her tongue licked into your mouth, pushing against yours dominantly.
“Mm, well I was having fun with my friends.” You pouted teasingly, making her huff a laugh while her fingers worked on the buttons of your shirt.
“I’m sure I can be just as fun.”
Her smirk made your head spin, letting her push your shirt past your shoulders with her eyes drinking in your body and your own hands on her hips guiding her back towards her bed until her legs bumped into the mattress. You watched hungrily as she undressed herself, a flurry of kisses and wandering hands until her milky skin was only covered in white lace underwear, propped up on her elbows with her eyes on you.
Irresistible. That's what Larissa is and the sentiment is true on her part too, words couldn’t describe the passion and perhaps applying phrase to this blissful tryst would only torment you with its secret reality. You settle on touch instead, an instant crashing of your lips against hers when she pulls you close to straddle her waist, hands tangling in her hair.
The way her lips ghosted the heated skin of your cheek on their way to your jaw released a shaky breath and the grazing of her teeth against the column of your throat made you sigh. The way she sucked at the skin with a soothing swipe of her tongue soon following only made you needy, ridding her of her bra that was only in your way in favour of drinking in her exposed body.
Your hands palmed at the pillowy flesh of her breasts, pinching at the hardened nipples in a way you knew would make her breath hitch against you. Plump lips made contact with yours again, heated and sloppy, in a haze of wanton desperation and her head leant back onto the pillows beneath her when you kissed along her neck, across her collarbone and chest until your tongue flicked over a nipple.
Your mouth latched around it with a suck, perfect attention paid to her with her hand cradling the back of your head to keep you close.
“You’re so good for me.” She breathed with her nails trailing over your back sending a shiver through your spine, inching lower and lower to your thigh and to the waistband of your underwear. But she liked to tease you, to see you squirm, so her fingers bypassed where you so wished them to go and pushed against your clothed cunt instead. “Fuck, I can feel how wet you are. This all for me?”
You could only nod to her in response, failing at bucking your hips into her hand when she moved away, nudging the soaked underwear past your hips for you to discard before lifting her thigh to press against you. You gasped at the feeling, the flexing of the muscle of her thick thigh brushing against your aching clit while your hands held onto her waist and hers onto your hips.
One hand cupped your neck to pull your lips to hers again with her thumb pushing onto your throat in a way that, along with the guided movement of your hips along her leg, made you moan into her mouth. She had learnt your body exquisitely, knowing just how to build that tightness in your belly, kissing you in a way that flooded your senses.
You fucked yourself on her thigh with the pace she urged with the nails that sunk into the flesh of your hip, rubbing your clit sublimely while the kiss barely wavered.
Her skin was soft beneath your hand, the softness of her stomach ending at the hem of her underwear; your fingers waited, unsure whether to continue until a push of your hand told you all you needed to know. You broke the kiss just to watch her, her teeth biting into her bottom lip when your fingertips slid through her folds, and the boring of her eyes into yours when they drew circles over her clit. You saw the inhale of breath in the twitching of her neck when your digits curled into her pussy and the way a pink tint kissed her cheeks, a flush across the skin of her chest.
You could feel how wet she was around your fingers, pumping them into her with a pace that matched your hips and a thumb against her throbbing bud. Heavy breaths punctuated your passionate kisses, messy with Larissa’s teeth pulling at your lip, moans echoing from your throat to hers with the way your soaked cunt slid across her skin. You could feel the coil tightening and your legs growing weak, being steadied by her firm hold on your body guiding your stuttering movements.
“‘M so close.” You breathed out with the heat of your words tickling her skin and your forehead leaning against hers.
“I know, sweetheart. So am I.” She returned, easily cupping your face in her hand with her thumb stroking over your lip musingly. “You’re doing so well, god.” Her eyes closed along with an arching of her back from the perfect action of your fingers and the way she moaned brought you so near the edge of your release. “Cum with me, baby. Fuck, I’m going to have so much fun with you tonight.”
Her voice held a sultry rasp that made your head feel fuzzy, dazed with your focus overwhelmed with Larissa. It didn’t take much more for the both of you to fall over the edge with groans of each other’s names. Her cunt clenched around your fingers, coating your skin with her cum, the sight of her lust darkened eyes was perfect.
She grasped your wrist and pulled your hand away from her with a nod towards your glistening digits.
“Clean it up.”
You did as she instructed, humming at the sweet tang with your tongue swiping over your fingers; she pushed your arm to fuck your fingers past your own lips, watching with an amused and dominant glint in her eyes at the way you took them. You licked them clean of any last drop of her you could much to her appreciation of your obedience.
Tumblr media
(Hey its me again so I have some news but at the end of the story and yes it's another sad one I know but I just like making agnst I think it would fit for it IDK but here is a playlist i msde some songs are in Spanish so sorry 😅)
It has been a week since you saw larissa she decided to cut things off it was sad depressing how could she just stop this after 4 years she was everything to you and you thought you were her everything I guess after her ex roommate morticia started to talk to her and flirt i guess everything went downhill, you two had a fight because of her she was taking larissa and larissa didn't try to deny it. Today you had to go to nevermore being a teacher wasn't easy and after Larissa breaking things off was going to be hard to keep yourself calm but it was going to be okay. When you got there you didn't saw larissa it was good but you forgot there was a meeting and you had to walk yourself to the conference room and when you open the big door you saw larissa sitting in the head of the table and you sat on the opposite side of it and you two were the only there so you took your phone out and you felt her gaze it was intoxicating you still loved her you wanted to cry but you couldn't. Finally more people came to the room and the meeting started. After the meeting everything went fine. You saw Larissa sometimes and ignored her and that's how the rest of the week went. Something you didn't like was that you had to go to the apartment you shared. She was living somewhere else but you could still smell her scent and when you lay in your bed you imagined her laying next to you. On Friday night you went to a bar . You had a couple of drinks and you were going to head when you saw her kissing Morticia. It shattered you and you felt broken. She had already broken up with you but you still felt betrayed. Tears started to fall and you then realized that she was looking in your direction as she kissed Morticia you left and went to buy more alcohol. you went home and started to drink until you were knocked out because of all of the alcohol.
~So desperately blind~
Tumblr media
Pairing : Larissa Weems x reader
Its pure angst / with happy ending really buys it's cute!
Warning : None really reader is just stewpid~
Tumblr media
It all started when you met your new botanical and science teacher, Marilyn Tornhill. She was passionate and enthusiastic about plants, she loved teaching and had so much care for her students. Really the woman was a real angel and you immediately felt a bond when the both of you first chatted.
What surprised you the most though, was the fact that this bond you felt seemed to be quite reciprocated. It didn't take long before the both of you started seeing each other outside class to read about plants or eat together. It was really amazing how you were getting along and apparently, this fact attracted the attention of a certain principale.
She had summoned you to her office later that day, claiming she had seen the both of you and that's when she told you about her fears toward Marilyn's. You were stunned at first then totally pissed and it ended up in a heated fight.
~Flashback to the argument~
Y/n Love, Can't you see she's in love with you, it's such an evidence!
I mean she's looking at you the exact same way that I do!
You rolled your eyes and groan before talking with an annoyed like tone.
And how exactly are you looking at me Larissa?!
Your tone seemed to take aback the women because her voice froze for a second, her lips agape and a hurt like expression on. Then she just murmured something delicately.
I...I look at you like you are my whole life Y/n...because that's what you are for me.
You looked at her with surprised after that, you definitely didn't expect that when you asked. Your traits soften and you felt your heart melt at her words for an instant. It almost made you forget the topic for an instant and your anger desapeared in a cloud of smoke. Until...
I know what being in love with someone look like darling and I can't loose you to someone else y/n. I don't share and I don't like to see you with her, it makes me anxious and I don't trust her.
There. Your anger suddenly was back in full force and you felt like hitting the wall aside of you for a second.
Larissa for fuck sake! Marilyn is not in love with me and I'm done with that conversation. I can't deal with your moody jealous fit that are unjustified by the way. I'll see you around!
You left without saying anything else, just exiting the blondes office totally undignified and pissed about her accusations toward your friend. You just knew Marilyn wasn't enamoured with you and you couldn't believe Larissa's was that toxic. I mean, trying to keep you from having a friend really!?
~End of flashback~
Since that argument, your relationship had degraded quite fast. Larissa had taken her distances with you, hurt by your words and offended that you chooses to believe Marilyn instead of her without a second thought. Larissa wasn't sleeping in your common bedroom with you anymore, you weren't eating together at lunchtime and she barely talked to you during the days. Your life was an empty space now without her. You felt incomplete and it was hurting you more and more every day. You started to regret what had happen and feel quite guilty about it all. To be honest, it was eating you alive every day that was passing without her. Yet you didn't do anything about it, even if you craved to see her again and wanted your relationship to get back the way it was, you couldn't let her win. It would just send the message that you thought her fears about Marilyn were true. It couldn't happen, because it wasn't true. Marilyn Thornhill wasn't in love with you.
That's why you didn't stop spending time with her. Actually, you started seeing her even more after the incident. Of course you didn't informed her about what happen between you and Larissa, in fear of making yourself look like a fool but yes you got even closer with you dear friend. That fact made your inner lost and heartbreak bearable at least while you figured what to do to make things right again.
But then, it happened. What you have denied for the past week and lost the love of your life for.
Marilyn one night came to your office, all pretty and smiling innocently at you, then she had walked in and circled your desk to come and stand just in front of you. Still sat on your chair you looked at her in pure interrogation, wondering what she wanted from you at this hour. Then, out of nowhere the ginger women had took your face between her finger and placed her lips on yours surprising the shit out of you.
Panic took over you the second you realised what was happening and you pushed her off you quite hastily. Your face was frozen in place and you had a pure expression of incredulity on. It couldn't be real right. She didn't just kissed you...that was just a dream. Yet, it wasn't and your botanical science teacher had in fact really just kissed you.
Larissa was right...all along and you didn't believed her. You betrayed the only person you loved more than life for...for Marilyn.
Oh god.
You stood up instantly at the sudden realisation of your mistake, hoping it wasn't to late. You didn't even cared for the women that was still on the ground just in front of your office chair and shooting excuses asking for forgiveness. She didn't mattered anymore. Larissa was the only thing that you had in mind anymore and you needed to fix the mess you made.
You rushed out of your office faster that you had tough yourself capable of, then you literally ran to you girlfriend office, eyes full of tears and feeling worse that you ever had.
What if she didn't loved you anymore. What if she wouldn't forgive you after what you did and just push you away.
The only thought of it made your body want to crumble on the ground and increased your pain at the point you had to keep yourself from stopping in your track.
At some point you arrived in front of Larissa's office door and you nothing but literally hit on it has many time you could muster before she opened to you.
Her expression was cold and hard at first when she stood in front of you at the door. Yet, rapidly when she saw your state, her walls crumble right down and she let you in.
At this point you were a pathetic sobbing and whimpering mess and you could barely muster any words.
The blonde took you in her arms no matter how much the situation between the both of you was complicated at the moment and started shushing you to calm down. Her delicates voice making your body shudder and tremble because of how much you missed hearing it. Instinctively you cling yourself to her body has much you could and tried to sozzled your sense with her sent to calm down.
Shhh, It's ok my love you are fine don't worry I got you now.
She said with her honeyed voice while tangling her hands in your hair to shoot your nerve down.
She was everything. The only thing you needed more than breathing and you couldn't even manage to find a reason why you had acted like this with her. You didn't deserved her.
After a while of whispering reassuring words to you and leaving soft caress to your skin, you finally manage to get a hang of yourself.
Then, with a shaking voice you started talking and explaining everything that happened to her hoping that she would still love you after all this. It was your only hope...
I..I'm so sorry Riss I should have listened to you and stop seeing her the second you told me! I'm so stupid, I love you sooooo much I don't want to lose you I can't loose you I love you to much for that and I won't survive it if I can't be with you again.
These past days have been a nightmare and I felt so guilty but I was to blind to see that Marilyn really loved me! I can't believe how fucking stupid I was! please please forgive me I...I don't deserve you I know that. And you definitely shouldn't be with me because you deserve better that someone that isn't listening to what you say and treat you like I did. But...I love you so much I won't survive to see you with someone else and I can't live without you.
God I'm so sorry Larissa.
There, you were sobbing again and this time it was even worse that before. It sounded like you were dying inside and you had difficulty to breath.
Larissa that had listened to everything you said and that was still holding you against her, looked at you with a pity that you didn't deserve at all. She loved you and seeing how bad you felt for everything made her anger disappear. She just wanted to hug you to her to feel you close because god knows how much she missed you since you two argued. Yes she still felt hurt by your betrayal and of course she would need time to trust you again after that. Yet, she never stopped loving you more that anything and she still wanted to be with you. So she took your wet face between her hand and raised your head up to look at her. When it was done and your irises met, the tall blonde you love just kissed the tip of your nose.
I forgive you my dumb little love. But, please promesse me it's the last time you do that to me...it really hurt to feel betrayed by the one you love.
You let a little smile appear on your lips at her words feeling all hope back up and your love for the women exploding.
I promesse Rissa I'll never do this again I just want you and that's all I will ever need.
Your girlfriend at this smiled at your and leaned back into your space, laying a kiss to your lips this time. You whimper in pure bliss at the contact and at her taste, before kissing her back with enthusiasm forgetting about everything else.
After all, she was by now the only thing you wanted and you felt like the making up night following this kiss was going to be quite long...
