Remington's Ruse
1 Remington Point
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jasper Remington: "Welcome esteemed guests, as we traverse through these halls of reverence and eccentricity. To some, it may be known as a peculiar masterpiece nestled atop a hill in the quaint town of Riverview, to others, perhaps, an eyesore—but to those of us who have the privilege to journey through her walls, to explore her architecture, we will come to understand, as the tour commences, that this house is not merely a testament to my unwavering vision and unbridled passion. Rather, it is a manifestation of divine intervention, granting me the ability to design this home with purpose and meaning."

Cody Remington: Hey lady, are you lost or something? "Pardon me, seems I've wandered too far. What a charming bedroom. Is it yours?"
Cody: Yes Ma'am. Mine and my little sister's... Our bedroom isn't open to the public.
Tumblr media
"Of course, not. My apologies. I was just finishing up my tour here. I wouldn't want to impose any longer." The visitor replied with a courteous smile, nodding to Cody before turning to leave the bedroom.
Tumblr media
Cody: [Cocks eyebrow, softens tone] ...Need a hand there, ma'am? Could I carry your bag for you or something? "Oh, goodness, no! No, thank you sweetheart, I'm perfectly capable. You take good care now, okay?" Cody: Yes ma'am, likewise.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Eileen Remington: Who the hell are you? "Morgana Wolff." She spoke, so sweetly. Eileen: [Takes a long drag of cigarette, exhales] And what are you lookin' at, Morgana Wolff? Morgana: Nothing. Just all the smoke and ash that fills this home.

Miss May I: Season 3 Part 79
Tumblr media
Vivian: Alright, last week I asked you to write three short stories. One in first person, one in second person, and the third in, you guessed it, third person.
Vivian: Any volunteers before I start choosing victims?
Tumblr media
Vivian: Alright Kirsten, you’re up.
Tumblr media
Kirsten: My first short story is called I Thought.
Kirsten: I thought I was doing everything right. I thought if I worked hard and put others ahead of myself, everything would work out. I thought you felt the same way I did, but I’m starting to realize the things I thought have always been wrong.
Vivian: That’s more of a poem than a short story, but I’ll accept it.
Kirsten: Thank you. My second story is called You Did.
Kirsten: You did everything wrong. You came in and turned everything to upside down, even when I tried to be your friend. You are a snake.
Tumblr media
Kirsten: YOU FUCKED MY BOYFRIEND!
Vivian: Kirsten, go to the principal’s office.
Tumblr media
Kirsten: Oh yeah, take her side because she’s your sister.
Vivian: I’m not taking anyone’s side, I’m a teacher. You raised your voice, used inappropriate language, and made a mockery out of my assignment. You’re lucky if I allow you to re-do it.
Tumblr media
Kirsten: Your whole family is the worst!
Vivian: Tell me something I don’t know.
Vivian: Alright, who’s next? And for real this time.

YEAR IN REVIEW
2022 in Review: Quotes of the Year!
By Team TVLine / December 18 2022, 9:00 AM PST
Best TV Quotes 2022

7
Anthony Bridgerton confessed his true feelings for Kate Sharma. This Is Us‘ Rebecca Pearson got well-deserved kudos. Viktor Hargreeves introduced himself to his Umbrella Academy siblings. And The White Lotus‘ Tanya McQuoid realized something very important… just a little too late.
All year long, we’ve been collecting TV’s best sound bites in our Quotes of the Week compilations, which honor the dialogue that made us laugh and cry — sometimes simultaneously. But as 2022 draws to a close, we’re now looking back at the Quotes of the Year, highlighting 60 of the funniest, most poignant or most wonderfully meta moments from the past 12 months.
Best TV Shows of 2022 | Stranger Things, The Boys, Andor, More
0 seconds of 3 minutes, 52 seconds
In the list below, you’ll find Robin Scherbatsky sharing her romantic past with How I Met Your Father‘s Sophie, Ellen DeGeneres reflecting on how much has changed since her talk show began, Westworld‘s Dolores-Hale uttering a powerful one-word command, and Andor‘s precious droid B2EMO lamenting a major loss.
Of course, some shows — like ABC’s Abbott Elementary and Netflix’s Stranger Things — were just too quotable this year to select only one line, so they’re among the series making multiple appearances on our list. And it’s not just the scripted fare that made our cut: Unscripted programs like American Idol, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Big Brother are in the mix, as well.
As with all of our year-end lists, we should issue a quick spoiler alert for several of this year’s plot twists, romantic confessions and heartbreaking sendoffs. But if you’re ready to dive in, peruse the list below, then drop a comment with the lines that would make your cut for Quotes of the Year.

“I’m going to miss this,” said Logan peering over his book to look at his roommate.
“What?” responded Remington.
“All of this,” replied Logan. “You, drinking coffee while scrolling social media and me, sitting here studying. The calm. The silence. You’re overdramatic ways. All of it.”
Remington gasped as if h were actually surprised by Logan’s remarks. “It’s always been a temporary arrangement.”
“I know. But you’re surprisingly more peaceful than Roman. Even with your flair for the dramatic.”
Logan’s roommate, Remington, had been subletting the spare room in his apartment. Not the spare room. No, he had been subletting Roman’s room while Roman went on tour. What did Roman go on tour for again? Some type of magical make-believe … the point was that Remington’s time as Logan’s roommate was coming to a close.  And Roan’s return was bittersweet.
Roman and Logan met when they were both ten and, although an unusual meeting, they quickly became best friends. They didn’t always see eye-to-eye, Roman loved flowery figurative language – literally flowery – while Logan preferred more literal dialogue. Though, these differences were possibly due to their upbringings. Roman was a fae-folk, a fairy specifically. And that explained a lot about him, honestly. Logan was a seer, which meant he could see into the future. Not his own, unfortunately. But then again, no seer should have that much power.
It was possibly due to his own upbringing that Logan was terrified by the possibility of becoming an Oracle. He had several relatives on both sides of his family tree given the honour of this occupation, and he feared it with every fibre of his being. Why? Because in order to become an Oracle one must first become blind to gain The Sight. And his eyesight was terrible as it was. He was already a klutz, he wasn’t ready to be a blind klutz. His mother and paternal uncle, both Oracles, assured him that The Sight transcended vision and that he would be better off blind, but he wasn’t quite so sure.
Instead, Logan did all he could to avoid becoming an Oracle. He took an interest in science at an early age, neglected his divination classes, and pursued the scientific side of the occults. Heck, he even majored in chemical engineering, a traditional noccultic endeavour. It wasn’t that the sciences weren’t respected in the Occultic Sphere, rather occultics didn’t really understand them at all. Why study science when one is capable of magic? But Logan didn’t see it that way. He didn’t see them as mutually exclusive.
“He called you his iris? That’s adorable!”
“Yeah,” said Logan not really paying attention. “Wait, how did you –”
“You zoned out, and I’m a curious kitten. I started reading your book, and I was in too deep before I realised it was your diary. I thought it was a very sad, handwritten book.”
“I don’t know what that’s referencing, but I want that back!”
“Aww! He’s your ‘peach blossom’, your captive. That’s so cute, I could puke.”
“He’s my captive?”
“Yeah-huh.”
“Seriously?’
“Yeah. That’s what ‘peach blossom’ means.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, ‘I am your captive’. You’ve known him for how long, and you’ve never looked these up?” asked Remington.
“I – well – see,” Logan couldn’t find the words.
He always intended on looking them up. Roman told him the flowers had meanings. He wrote them all down, he just hasn’t gotten around to looking them up. There just always seemed to be something more important worth doing. Something more demanding of his time. He hadn’t ever taken the time to consider that Roman had secretly admitted his feelings all those years ago. They had only known each other for a month, they were ten, he never thought … he never thought that was the problem. Roman was interested in him, or at least, he used to be?
“Oh, honey,” said Remington patting Logan’s back. “You’re so clueless sometimes.”
“Great,” said Logan. “I finally figure out his cryptic heart –”
“You figured it out? Honey, that was all me.”
“The point is, he’s obviously moved on. I mean, we were ten, and he only knew me for a month. It was a crush! He’s been with other guys since then. Corbin and Slone, amongst the better ones.”
“When he likes a guy, he really likes a guy.”
“Not helping.”
“Isn’t it though? He almost always falls for his friends.”
“Weren’t you listening? I said he’s moved on!”
“That is what you said. But that’s also a biased opinion Mr Facts Guy. Aren’t you always telling me not to make up my mind without first researching something?”
“… yeah?”
“Well, then. What are you waiting for? Time to prove or disprove that hypothesis of yours!”
Remington grabbed Logan by the hand, “Right now?”
“When else?” said Remy disappearing into a cloud of bronze smoke.
“WAIT!” Logan cried and pulled his arm away. He wasn’t ready to face Roman yet. Not like that anyway. He needed to think, plan, and rehearse what he was going to say. He was not going to talk to Roman today. No. he needed to sort out his feelings for Roman first. Thank the deities that Roman wasn’t due to come home for two more days.
That gave his time. It wasn’t much time, but it was something. Enough for Logan to try to understand his emotion or better yet see an Empath. They could tell him exactly what he was feeling, and he wouldn’t have to sort out this emotional mess on his own.
“Hey! Look who I found in the hall!” said a familiar voice. “He just popped up right beside me.”
Logan turned his head. In walked a very content Roman, and a very annoyed Remington behind him.

5 jabs he took at New York's top Democrats

President Trump signed a $716 billion defense policy bill named for Sen. John McCain after delivering remarks that failed to mention the senator. The measure boosts military pay by the largest amount in nine years and replaces aging equipment. (Aug. 13) AP

ALBANY — President Donald Trump’s visit to Utica on Monday was laced with barbs at his home state as he talked up his push to elect more Republicans in Washington.
Trump delivered remarks at a fundraiser for freshman Rep. Claudia Tenney, a Utica-area Republican facing a tough challenge from Democratic Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi in the sprawling congressional district that stretches all the way to Broome and Tioga counties.
The most frequent target of his attacks? Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, both Democrats.
Here’s five shots Trump took at the Empire State’s top Democrats and their policies:
Cuomo 2020
Trump practically dared Cuomo to run for president in 2020 — though Trump claimed Cuomo told him he wouldn’t.
“Now, (Cuomo) called me and he said ‘I’ll never run for president against you,'” Trump said.
“But maybe he wants to. Oh, please do it. He did say that. Maybe he means it.”
The Republican president followed up with a threat: “One thing we know and they do say: Anybody who runs against Trump suffers.”
On Tuesday, Cuomo told reporters in Seneca County that he doesn’t “have any personal, political conversations with the president.”
Here’s what Andrew Cuomo had to say today when asked about Donald Trump’s comments yesterday. (Trump said Cuomo said he wouldn’t run for president against him.) pic.twitter.com/zFDAs21tMT

“I talk to the president, but I talk to him about policy issues that are affecting this state,” Cuomo said. “And I do disagree with the president. If I were president of the United States, I would not be trying to roll back a woman’s right to choose. I would not be ripping babies out of the arms of their mothers.”
Cynthia Nixon, Cuomo’s Democratic primary challenger, said Cuomo should explain whatever conversation Trump is referring to.
“Cuomo’s entire campaign message is that he is New York’s best rebuttal to Donald Trump,” Nixon said in a statement. “So New Yorkers deserve some answers.”
Guns
Trump was well aware of his surroundings, acknowledging a Remington Arms firearms plant in nearby Illion, Herkimer County.
He used the plant as an entry point to take another jab at Cuomo, who successfully pushed through a broader assault-weapon ban as part of a package of gun-control measures in 2013.
“You better be careful because they want to end your Second Amendment and they’re putting a big move on it,” Trump said. “And Cuomo wants to end your Second Amendment more than anybody.”
Cuomo responded with a tweet.
“Donald Trump & the NRA — bankrupt bedfellows: literally and morally,” Cuomo tweeted. “Unlike Trump, I’m not afraid to take on the NRA.”

Taxes
New York is a high-tax state. Trump used that to boost Tenney’s candidacy.
“You vote for somebody other than our fantastic Claudia, you’re voting for higher taxes,” Trump said. “They want to raise your taxes.”
Cuomo has fought against the Republican federal tax reform approved last year, particularly a provision that caps the amount of state and local taxes you can deduct from your federal taxes.
“They want to actually end these massive tax cuts that everybody in this room has gotten; that have been so popular — that have really made our economy the strongest it’s ever been in the history of our nation,” Trump said of Democrats.
Kirsten Gillibrand
Trump also ripped U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, whom the Republican president has sparred with during his time in office.
Gillibrand called on Trump to resign last December amid harassment allegations against him.
And he fired back that she would go to his office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago “and would do anything for them,” claims that Gillibrand and other Trump critics said were misogynist.
He continued the same criticism on Monday, praising Gillibrand’s opponent this year, Republican Chele Farley.
“I’ve watched you, and I know you’re really working hard,” Trump said to Farley, who was in attendance.
“Honestly, on the merits you should win. You know, I know your opponent very well. She’s been up to my office looking for campaign contributions. And she’s very aggressive on contributions, but she’s not very aggressive in getting things done.”
The President refuses to acknowledge the work I’ve gotten done. Sound familiar, ladies? https://t.co/HN7zVmARF2
— Kirsten Gillibrand (@SenGillibrand) August 14, 2018
He called Gillibrand a “puppet” of New York’s senior U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.
“You know that. He put her there,” Trump continued.
“I’ve never seen anybody like this. Your opponent was the most pro-gun person you’ve ever seen. The day she got that given position, she all of a sudden becomes ‘anti,’ like 100 percent. So people get it.”
Gillibrand responded on Twitter: “The President refuses to acknowledge the work I’ve gotten done. Sound familiar, ladies?”
Fracking (or lack thereof)
The president knocked New York (and by extension, Cuomo) for prohibiting large-scale hydraulic fracturing in New York.
Cuomo’s administration spent its first term considering whether or not to allow fracking, which would open up access to the gas-rich Marcellus Shale, whose sweet spot spans the Southern Tier.
But it wasn’t to be: Cuomo’s administration banned the procedure in late 2014.
“I said with the use of brainpower and common sense, you people could have had a boomtown up here,” Trump said.
“This could have been Boomtown USA.”
He continued: “You have among the richest (shale) in the United States sitting under your land and you don’t take it, and other people are taking it. Meaning other states are taking it.”

Gluten-free cafe and juice bar takes over Prime Corner space in Hampden
A new cafe in Hampden offers something owner Kirsten Lapointe hasn't been able to find anywhere else: a completely gluten-free menu that includes pizza. "People say that's a unicorn," said Lapointe, who opened Treehouse Cafe and Juice Bar this month at the corner of Chestnut Avenue and West 34th Street. "There are gluten-free places, but there are no places with pizza that are totally gluten-free." Lapointe, a fitness instructor at Remington's Movement Lab, designed the new cafe's menu with a…

Kirsten Remington: Just a few more minutes Aunt Lydia? Please? I’m having so much fun playing!
Tumblr media
Lydia Remington: Just a few couldn’t hurt, I suppose. But then it’s off we go to wash up. Even your play clothes are filthy for play clothes!
Morgana: What a darling little angel she is. She has such a sunny disposition.
Lydia: Oh, yes, thank you kindly. She's my niece. Such a blessing, she is.
Tumblr media
Morgana settled next to Lydia on the picnic table.
Morgana: Her parents are the owners of the Remington house, aren't they? Such a complex environment to raise a child.
Lydia: [Contemplative sigh] Why, yes indeed. It wasn’t always this way. I managed to raise my daughter there without a hitch. But my brother, he's fixated on continually adding to that maze, making it more and more elaborate as the years go by. We—[brief pause, brows furrow] we don't live with them any longer. Not after the incident.
Morgana: You have a daughter of your own?
Lydia: Why, yes! She’s just a smidge older than Jasper’s boy, Cody... [Another pause, as if she's waiting for Morgana to push for answers] Her name is Hannah. Oh! Let me get my pocketbook, surely I have a photograph in my wallet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lydia's face beamed with pride as she sorted passed her identification cards and simoleons from her wallet, showcasing her beloved family photographs.
Lydia: This is Hannah and her handsome beau, Aiden Jones. They’re high school sweethearts, graduating this year together.
Morgana: Beautiful! How lovely.
Lydia: What about you? Are any of these little scamps yours?
Morgana nonchalantly surveyed the park, observing the children merrily playing on the playground. Nearby, little Kirsten Remington, carefree and beaming, laughed joyfully as she performed a somersault in the grass, tumbling to the ground. Morgana casually rummaged through her purse, retrieving a photo she happened to have on hand, and unfolded it, handing it over to Lydia to show off.
Tumblr media
Morgana: Here they are. Aren't they just beautiful? [Gently straightening out the folds with her velvet-gloved fingertips]
Lydia: [Softly gasps] Oh my! Two little towheads! I would’ve never expected, what with your hair being so dark.
Morgana: Yes. [Smiles pridefully] They’re blonde like their mother.
Later that evening, Lydia bid farewell to Kirsten and embarked on the drive home alone. The baffling interaction she had with the stranger at the park lingered in her mind, and she couldn't shake the unease that followed as she navigated the winding Riverview roads. Lydia's hands tightened on the steering wheel. Her heart raced with an inexplicable sense of dread. She tried to shake the feeling, 'The Remingtons have always had a history of paranoia' she thought to herself. The stranger's voice howled louder and louder in her head. What started as a well-wish, started to feel more like a sinister warning: "drive safe."
Tumblr media
The remains of Lydia Remington were discovered beneath a bridge in Riverview following a motor vehicle accident. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Isabella: So you’ve really decided to keep the baby?
Julian: What’s wrong with that?
Isabella: Nothing, I’m happy for you. I just thought you were pro-choice.
Julian: I am pro-choice. And this is my choice.
*Bell rings*

Vivian: Just because it’s the weekend doesn’t mean you can forget about your projects! Anyone who has not turned it in before the break will be receiving a 0, and that includes you, Kiristen. Alright, you’re dismissed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Isabella: So, what does it feel like? Are you all happy and glowing?
Julian: No, I’m mostly tired. At least I haven’t gotten much morning sickness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kirsten: I feel so bad for your baby. If you have any shred of decency left, you’ll give it to a family that’ll actually love it.
Julian: Nobody fucking asked you.
Kirsten: Someone has to speak up for this poor innocent baby.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Julian: Word sure spreads fast.
Isabella: It’s not like you’re her favorite person right now. Have you told Damian?
Julian: That his girlfriend’s a bitch?
Isabella: No, that he’s going to be a daddy.
Julian: Why does everyone think he’s the father?
Isabella: Well, because you had sex with him. That’s kinda how babies are made.
Julian: I know how babies are made, and he’s not the father. Noah is.
Isabella: ...
Isabella: Maybe you shouldn’t keep the baby.
Julian: Nobody asked you either.

I have a strange request. Feel free to indulge in it or not 😂
I'd love to see ts4 version of young Kirs. I'm an old reader of yours and what you did with this character... she just touched me alot.
And i love your aesthetic, so yeah. I'd love to see what you'd do with this one 😊
Either yay or nay, have a great day Momo!
baaaby I got youuuu!!! 😁💖 Young Kirsten will have her heart wrenching story told in even more depth in Many Moons Ago when we get to generation 2, which I am DREADING by the way, but also SO excited for, but for now I absolutely cannot resist indulging this! I didn't know if you were more curious about seeing the original childhood Kirsten or YA Kirs in her "Sunflower" era, so... I included both 🥰
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can also see Kirsten in a few different life stages in a challenge I did here 🌻
Thank you so much for this ask, it was so fun! <3
