In honor of the first snowfall of winter...

...SAGAU during a snow day!

Snow always means different things to different people. Some spend snowy days outside, having fun with others, or perhaps just trying to get to work through all the snow. Others spend the days cuddled up inside, wrapped in warm blankets and sweaters with a mug of their preferred warm drink.

Such is the way things are in Teyvat as well. When windows cloud with frost and the ground turns an enchanting, glittering white, all of the beings of Teyvat have their ways of spending their time during the cold seasons.

But when the Creator themself comes to live amongst their creations, who knows what will happen?

The ending of the year tends to bring cold weather and biting winds to most places, and with it comes warmer clothes and festive fashions. Heavy coats, elegant scarves, and cute mittens are put on display in shop windows, inviting passersby to partake in a bit of Holiday Shopping. And who would Your most loyal followers be if they didn't take You shopping? It would be a travesty! This totally isn't an excuse to spoil you or see you in the latest wintery fashions, parish the thought. They buy you anything that catches your eye.

Laughter and shrieks of joy are heard from outside as a Snowball Fight takes place. It's an all-out, no-bars-held brawl of packed snow and good aim. A nostalgic sight for You, to be sure. Everyone around You can see how You wish to go out and take part in the liveliness... and some of them see no reason to stop You! In fact, a few acolytes even pull you into the fray, whether it be by pulling You down beside them behind their haphazard snow fort or simply by nailing You with a snowball. They'll make sure You have fun, regardless of what others might say!

Once the chilly battle is won, there are plenty of other things to do while everyone has energy! Sledding is always fun, especially when You have someone pulling you down onto a toboggan and taking off before You can realize what's going on. So what if you end up half buried in a snowbank after crashing into it? That's part of the fun!

Speaking of getting buried in snow... Snow Angels are a classic way of winding down, isn't it? Especially when the little ones are pulling You by the hand, eager to get their turn to play with You! Laughter and shouts of "There's snow in my shirt!" never cease to amuse, especially when You get to stand up and see the product of Your fun in the form of people-shaped silhouettes in the glittering snow.

Ah, but while some are playing, others are hard at work, putting up decorations and making everything look beautiful! Tinsel, lights, everything that can make the houses and streets look straight out of a winter wonderland. Some are on the roof, some are on ladders, and some lucky folks can use unique abilities and equipment to avoid the usual struggles. And of course, there are also those on the ground giving orders and suggestions. You know, to avoid the hassle of climbing up and down over and over again to make sure everything looks right.

Finally, when it's time to go inside to warm up, there are several people who have been Cooking and Making Warm Drinks. Tea, hot chocolate, cookies and biscuits, all sorts of tasty treats and drinks! The smell of baked goods and tasty food permeates the air, and thankfully, everything was planned and timed perfectly so that everyone could enjoy something delicious when they came inside.

While playing in the snow is definitely a lot of fun, there are always those who prefer to spend their time indoors, wrapped in blankets and sweaters with a warm mug and a good book in hand. When everyone finally returns from outside, it's these people who enjoy telling the stories they read and helping everyone find a cozy spot to warm up in.

And what's a good holiday if there isn't singing and laughter? Jokes are told, songs are sung, and the atmosphere is bright and lively as music drifts through the air. Of course, there are a few who groan at the awful jokes someone tells, but it just serves to make things better.

And of course, winter holidays often mean presents, and that means gift wrapping! Bright paper, pretty ribbons, and parcels and packages of all sizes are scattered about. Some of these boxes are wrapped up so neat and pretty, while some unfortunate folks and up with tape all over their fingers.

got some hot takes in this one that some of y'all are not gonna like... 👀 breakdowns below the cut

1. i, personally, am insane about them:

megumi fushiguro, suguru geto, shoko ieri, kittycunt choso, junpei yoshino, yuuta okkotsu

2. best boy / best girl / loml sweet baby angel 💕🫰🏽✨:

yuuji itadori, nobara kugisaki, nanamin, aoi todo, higuruma, makin zenin, toge inumaki, yuki tsukumo, ijichi, miguel odoul, kirara hoshi, jogo, kusakabe, nitta, takaba, tall idol takada, tsumiki fushiguro, utahime iori, that sumo guy & that other guy with the sumo guy (i think)

this is a packed category. itadori & kugisaki are right on the cusp of "insane about them" and "love them a lot a lot a lot" ... tsumiki should be ranked a little higher. mimiko and nanako were not included in this template, but they would go here.

3. good, in a literary sense:

satoru gojo, eso, mahito, naoya zenin, that guy megumi fought, toji fushiguro, mahoraga

so uh......toji should be higher. so should mahoraga. that's all i have to say 🙂

4. ...fine:

this is a category for characters I have a net "meh" reaction to. some of them would be in lower tiers if I didn't like their character design.

5. induces a complicated, quiet rage in me. so incredibly infuriating, yet also boring. meant to be sympathetic, yet i have no sympathy. i will not judge you for how you dealt with insurmountable adversity, but i do not like you:

mechamaru, ui ui

this category was created specifically for mechamaru. threw ui ui in here too bc why tf not, he fits (most) of the criteria.

6. don't care:

panda, hana/angel, noritoshi kamo (the younger), anime alcoholic zenin what's his name, dagon, nishimiya, principal gakuganji, plane hair girl, sky girl (ume? uro?)

listen..... don't shoot me. in canon....they are boring to me. i don't care about them. i don't care about their backstories, I don't care about their motivations. they are literally taking up space on my page/screen that could be dedicated to someone i give a fuck about. two of them made it out of the bottom tier by being hot.

7. i want to dip them in acid, coat them in pop rocks, then dip them in lava repeatedly:

OPEN STARTER! 🐇✨

It was a rather busy day within Chiori-ya Boutique, especially with the recent "scandal" her teacher had gone through having been disclassified by the press! Truly, it was a wonderous thing, since Reine couldn't think of anyone else more fitting and deserving to have their brand shown to the world than Chiori.

Working at the boutique, whether it be helping with making dresses and suits, ordering more intake through Kirara, cleaning around the shop, or being challenged by her teacher herself to make a proper design from scratch, Reine found herself happily immersed in the world of fashion - wanting to one day make something of herself, whether or not the Fatui were involved.

She was packing away some clothing into the shelves, when she heard the chime of the door opening. With a big, bright smile - she turned to face the customer:

"Hiiiii~! ✨ Welcome to Chiori-ya Boutique! Chiori is away right now, but maybe I can help?"

The majority of people in this poll think Inuyasha would like dog biscuits hahaha.

Now, an Inuyasha x Dog Biscuits one-shot...that I had written before I even posted the poll, but whatever...

They bickered all the way to the pet aisle, Inuyasha arguing strongly in favor for Buyo having energy independence and Kagome telling him that she was going to buy 'Purina' for Buyo.

What happened on Kagome's side of the well stayed on Kagome's side of the well.

Kagome's side of the well had these giant metal slabs that people used as vehicles and which often killed other people. They used these 'automobiles' because it was a cinch to travel huge distances within mere hours. It turned out, Kagome's mother didn't like these vehicles too much, because Kagome's dad had died in an accident involving one, and that finally explained why Inuyasha never saw him around.

Inuyasha puffed out his chest as he realized that with him on this side of the well, there was no need for Kagome to rely on those flying chunks of death metal anyway. He could travel fast and if she really wanted to, he could piggyback her wherever she wanted to go.

And where she wanted to go was the 'supermarket.'

On Inuyasha's side of the well, they all had to pick herbs by hand, grow crops from the field, and hunt whatever they wanted to eat.

On Kagome's side of the well, all someone needed to do was go to the supermarket and get whatever they wanted. It was convenient, according to her.

Inuyasha didn't see how.

Thousands of smells assaulted him all at once, the lights were too bright, there were signs written in some script he didn't understand and even the Japanese looked very different from what he was used to, and besides, the neatly stacked rows of packages and boxes and containers were just begging to be knocked over...

"Come on, Inuyasha," Kagome said, tugging him along with her. "The cat food's over on this aisle."

"Why doesn't Buyo catch his own food?" Inuyasha asked.

Kagome sighed. "Look, if you want to make sure he's having a healthy diet, cat food's the best option."

"Why? Kirara's fine and she catches her own food."

"Kirara's a demon slaying cat."

"So?"

They bickered all the way to the pet aisle, Inuyasha arguing strongly in favor for Buyo having energy independence and Kagome telling him that she was going to buy 'Purina' for Buyo.

"And just what's Purina supposed to be? Some sort of – "

His thoughts were derailed as they finally reached the section of the supermarket that had cat food.

Inuyasha's jaw dropped.

"LOOK, KAGOME, LOOK!" He sprinted over to a jumbo-sized package of 'Purina' that had a life-sized, realistic picture of an adorable, grey, striped...

She laughed at the radiant joy and wonder on his face.

Yeah, he was a cat person. So what if he was an inu hanyo?

He would sacrifice his life for that cat.

"Yep, that's a cute kitten. Now move over, Inuyasha, I have to..."

He dashed off into the dog food section, salivating at a rack of Gravy Trains and Milkbones.

Kagome stuck a pack of Purina into her shopping bag and stared after him.

She didn't know if this would end well or not.

The good news was that Inuyasha didn't accidentally burn down the building, get into a fight with anyone, or do anything particularly strange, violent, or disruptive.

The bad news was that he had decided he wanted to eat fifty packages of Milkbone dog biscuits. She was about to scold him and tell him to put them back, but he had such an uncharacteristic hopeful little puppy look in his eyes that she decided to let it go.

He had a terrible childhood, Kagome, a voice in her head exclaimed. Just let him have his biscuits.

Besides, Inuyasha was cute when he was hopeful. His eyes went all bright and sparkly and she felt a sudden strong urge to buy a frisbee and throw it in the opposite direction for him to chase.

He would like it too, no matter how much he'd deny it.

So she found herself giving the cashier a sheepish giggle while emptying her purse. Inuyasha's Milkbone cravings had destroyed her monthly allowance.

Inuyasha shoveled mouthful after mouthful into his mouth as soon she she paid, looking for all the world as though he were a child promised a lifetime of free ice cream, blissfully unaware of the stares curious onlookers were shooting him.

"'y za way, K'gome," he said in the midst of a dangerous technique known as 'speaking with food lodged in his trachea.' "Wha're 'ey called?"

She raised an eyebrow.

Come on, they were in the pet food aisle. It wasn't hard to put two and two together. She assumed he'd known and just didn't care.

"Uh, Inuyasha, those are dog biscuits."

He froze in horror.

"So, Inuyasha, how where things over there?" Shippo asked. "Didja get anything for me? Any nice food? Had fun?"

He shuddered.

There were some things he would never tell anyone. Ever.

That he'd downed fifty packages of Milkbone dog biscuits and then gotten a serious case of indigestion and vomiting was one.

Hey, I'm the one who had found the old Inuyasha fanfic. I just finished transcribing it and would love some help finding out the title and who wrote it.

Summary: Inuyasha, with Kagome riding on his back, is running though a forest after a wolf youkai who has a jewel shard. It is set after Tetsusaiga breaks and becomes heavy. Inuyasha and Kagome are separated from Sango and Miroku and are ambushed by a pack of wolves/wolf youkai. Kagome is knocked unconscious. Inuyasha goes full-youkai while getting mauled. Kagome wakes up to find him severely injured and bleeding out. She patches him up but doesn't immediately give him Tetsusaiga to prove to him that she doesn't fear him. Inuyasha eventually takes hold of the sword himself and turns back. They then leave the corpse filled clearing and end up reuniting with the others. Kagome doesn't tell them had Inuyasha went full youkai at his request. the story ends with Inuyasha thanking Kagome for believing in him.

The story is about 13700-ish words long, i'm not sure about chapters. The way it was printed out didn't have chapter breaks. It is written in English. It is primarily told from Kagome's POV and switches to Inuyasha's while she's unconscious. Inukag is the main pairing. Sango and Miroku are supporting characters. Kirara and Shippou are there too, but i don't think Shippou says much of anything. In light of the amount of gore, strong language and at least a few suggestive moments (Kagome has to bandage Inuyasha's butt and there's a moment of intense cuddling) It likely might have been rated either T or M. It would have been on Fanfiction.net.

Whoever wrote it was a very good writer. Practically no typos, as far as i noticed!

✨genshin characters i relate to with my autistic traits and/or see as autistic✨

lynette! her social struggles and disconnection, outwardly coming off as distant, describing her ways of self regulation as "power saving mode". also, the cutscene where lyney is worried about her eating so much dessert that she wont eat a regular meal didnt come off to me as diet culture-y, but instead, i felt like lyney is worried about her meeting her nutrition needs because she tends to retreat into eating a lot of the same safer, sensory easy foods - sweet things in her case. and the exercise comment didnt sound to me like a weight thing but about getting her to gain an appetite again and eat nutrients. (i am someone with a lot of food restrictions, desserts are usually a safe option anywhere for me when eating out, as a lot of my worst sensory archnemeses are only found in savory foods, and also something like a pack of cookies or candy is often easier than trudging through executive dysfunction to make myself a balanced meal and also getting past my brain thinking that in this very moment everything is unpalatable.)

nahida! her foreign-ness to people and interpersonal interactions and subsequent avid people-watching to break social norms down and learn them. archiving neurotypical behavior patterns as an area of knowledge. still blurting out things that sound awkward and nonsensical to neurotypicals! difficulties to carry across her point if you are not accustomed to how she talks.

kirara, a little bit! this is a small bit, but her idle animation comes off so much as a happy stim to me!! i sometimes do the inner self squeeze, the squealy sounds, the hand squeeze. and i like that she stims by making shapes with her tails! <3
