rewatching the episodes and now I’m even more convinced that Pol is only allowed to keep his job because he’s actually employed as a friend. He’s not even trusted to regularly carry a gun it seems.

Like my guy please what is this 😂 what are you doing 😂 how is that helping 😂 why don’t you have a gun like everyone else?

Absolutely zero danger awareness. Doesn’t dodge any of it. Highly trained bodyguard where?

Still shocked how Porsche was brave enough to take MaFiA bOsS Kinn on a date in a romantic cafe with small cupcakes. Like he saw Kinn who sleeps with a gun and k*lls people occasionally and decided «this man will be into fluff»

Kimchay thoughts (again) (plus music connections?)

You know what? I’m glad Porchay showed up to Kim’s place. Kim needs to be knocked down a peg (love u, but still). He mood boarded the Kittisawasd brothers, violated so many boundaries, manipulated Porchay, and thought he could brush aside Porchay like an after thought. Not today, sir.

I loved seeing that guilt on his face. I love that he’s exactly like his older brother: falling hard and losing control, losing the façade of tough scheming mafia guy. I love that his ruse is falling apart (because it tracks my predictions, somewhat) but also because like Kinn, Kim is going to find out he simply cannot protect everyone he cares about. He’s going to have to take some responsibility for his actions, and that moment is coming, and it’s going to be great (for us, not for Porchay, sadly.)

Porchay showing up to Kim’s house is a taste of Kim’s own medicine. Porchay showing up to Kim’s house is a reminder for Kim that his actions have consequences and those consequences are not just Porchay’s feelings, but his own feelings (guilt, affection, and others towards Porchay, and perhaps anger, resentment, and more towards the mafia family). 

Porchay showing up to Kinn’s house is a reminder that while he left the mafia family to pursue music, he’s now tainted his love for music by blending the two together. He reached out to Porchay through music: the one place where he, to my understanding, did not have much mafia connection/influence surrounding him. He did this to himself, and I have a feeling that music itself is no longer the same for Kim either. Porchay singing to him, publicly, is going to literally haunt him (or, I hope it haunts him into performing at that café with Porchay watching.)

I hope Kim is miserable, in the best and worst way.

kinnporsche episode eight | 8

actually the fact that kinn is shown enjoying food so much with porsche is very personal to me. he has probably never had an un-stressful and un-agenda’d meal in his life. first it would be those stilted family dinners too fancy to even make out what he’s eating, with all the strain between him, his brothers, and his father - until they all eventually stopped coming. then it would be the constant obligatory business lunches and dinners. in ep 4 he’s shown enjoying the simple hot pot with porsche rather than his own fancy meal. in ep 6 he is so joyful eating the fish he caught and feeding it to porsche. in ep 8 when porsche takes him to a new dessert place he is so pleased and happy with it all. the common denominator is that he did all these things with porsche, who has no agenda. kinn is not stressed or pretending with porsche that he can enjoy a simple meal, and i think that’s beautiful.

What’s that noise?

Porsche was called in for a punishment.

Those first scenes are driving me crazy.

The blind opening up to brighten up the room and bathe it in the morning light — the light of new beginnings. Illuminating them together in the same light, finally in tune with one another.

Natural light flooding in, because that’s how it is - it’s natural, it’s right. It’s not clouded by artifice or negative emotions.

Everything is so light and bright afterwards, embodying the happiness. It’s vibrant and clear and obvious. Everything is so open — the wide shot, the blinds, the nakedness, the postures — just like how their emotions and understanding are now.

Surrounded by white, the purity of the moment, it’s not tainted by negative things. It’s pure unadulterated love and joy.

Just compare it to the first scenes of ep 5.

The artificial lighting, embodying the artificial situation that lead them to this.

Porsche in the shadowed half of the curtain and Kinn in the light, they’re both on two separate wavelengths.

Veiled, obstructed, separated. [the drugging, unconfirmed/hidden feelings, Kinn still wearing a ‘mask’]. Clothed, closed off and turned away, just like the emotions.

It’s the hazy nature, things are unclear. Everything born from a darker situation.

It’s the false beginnings (ep 5) vs the true new beginnings (now).

I know they’re born from two wildly different scenarios but to juxtapose the first scenes like that was a definite choice
