I just want to say how much I love Hades, because I truly truly love Him so much, I'm so grateful to have Him in my life, I'm so grateful He showed up to me this year, I wish there was words enough to express - there is tears almost falling right now- I was meditating and I asked Him to help me because I was having a really hard time and I asked him to help me and, in the middle of the meditation he said this "you are not just the broken parts, you are not just your trauma, you are not just your shadow - you are much more, there is so much beauty" (and in this moment I felt so loved, I wasn't expecting this at all but makes sense bc has been a while since I was able to shut my mind down and listen to Him, and I knew there was a lot He wanted to say - I got cards and I'm participating on a tarot project with a tarot reader I really trust and she said the same, He had a lot to say to me and I wasn't listening- but I wasn't expecting this, I felt such a strong energy like I was being hugged and felt so loved and I said that and you know when you "hear" the answer? He was like "you are loved"
P.S: to give a context here: I'm working on my trauma and in this meditation I realize some stuff about that was subconscious, and I realized that I think, sometimes and very unconscious, about these parts as ugly, as not lovable. It's not on purpose it juts... happens, so in the meditation we were working on this and that's the context about what He said to me!

Haides's Blessing Deity Oil
"HAIDES (Hades) was the king of the underworld and god of the dead. He presided over funeral rites and defended the right of the dead to due burial. Haides was also the god of the hidden wealth of the earth, from the fertile soil with nourished the seed-grain to the mined wealth of gold, silver and other metals." - Theoi
I work with King Haides to let go of negative attachments, ancestor work, and financial matters. He's newer to my practice, I honour Queen Persephone with a candle beside him. He loves having his wife near him, especially since spring is on its way.
He's firm in his teachings. Honest but can be gentle. Will make you face your inner self and problems head-on.
I made an oil for him to call upon him. I use it to carry him with me, to wear for certain purposes and as a candle-dressing. It helps me with spirit communication, drawing prosperity and protects my heart space when placed on my chest.
You will need
A clean and cleansed jar
Peppermint - Prosperity, connections to the underworld
Cypress - Connections to death, protection, grief
Allspice - Prosperity, inner healing
Clove - Psychic Shielding, prosperity, personal growth
You can either do the folk method or the hot method. You can find my post on infused oils here to learn how to make infused spell oils. I suggest if you are an animist or someone who wants more power from your oils. Speak to the herbs kindly, treat them less like an ingredient and ask them respectfully for their aid and the purpose they'll have in your oil. Use intention. The same goes for the Olive oil.
You can sub any of these, however, Cypress and Mint are historical for him. Along with Olive oil. Try to keep within the theme of the underworld, death, spiritual connection, prosperity, introspection and protection.
Blessings!

At last, they arrive at the sea together. Only time will tell what adventures and events lie ahead for them.
I was inspired by another ocean photograph and ended up drawing this on complete impulse. Here is Persephone, and a much younger King Hades standing on the cliff ledge as they stare at the vast ocean ahead of them.

@tss-anxceit-week Day 4- Free Day
And Hades is King of the scythe and the sword
He covers the world in the color of rust
He scrapes the sky and scars the earth
And he comes down heavy and hard on us
But even that hardest of hearts unhardened
Suddenly, when he saw her there
Persephone in her mother’s garden
Sun on her shoulders, wind in her hair
They're sou hadestown coded

being a Hades devotee
It would be cool for this to be a super glamorous post but truly it is not going to be. This is just my experience having been devoted to Hades.
He is a very kind deity. I know people say he is harsh or strict, and for them maybe, but for me he is a gentle push
I heard someone once say working with Hades is a leap of faith, he will ask you to jump off a cliff just to see if you believe he will catch you. In my experience this is true, and every time he asked me to jump he caught me
TW: SH/SUICIDE
I have struggled with depression since I was a young child, and I do believe this is why Hades came into my space. And even though I have struggled, and relapsed, he has not judged or criticized me. He *has* however, helped me pick myself back up, and made things easier for me to get my life together
I have tried to end my life multiple times, and every time I truly did hear him tell me it was not my time to enter his realm, and this has helped me to stop those attempts and pushed me to try and recover
TW OVER
Hades is a nice presence to have. He feels very cool, as in temperature wise, which is always nice. Like a breath of air
He has helped me to become a better version of myself and is still helping me become the person I want to be
He doesnt demand constant offerings, which I greatly appericiate as I do struggle with daily pain and lack of energy and, just things like that
He has always been there when I needed his guidance and I am grateful to be a devotee of his

Theoi Info Sheets Series Part 2: Zeus, Poseidon, & Hades
"When Zeus and his brothers distributed among themselves the government of the world by lot, Poseidon obtained the sea, Hades the lower world, and Zeus the heavens and the upper regions, but the earth became common to all" - Theoi.com
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The members of The Olympian Triad (also referred to as 'The Big Three') have always illuded me in terms of reverence and worship.
I've spent the better part of a year reconciling the opinions I had about Zeus in childhood; trying now to see him as he was to his worshippers and less how it portrayed in modern retellings of myth. When I do honor or work with Zeus, I instead choose to call upon his Roman form of Jupiter.
Poseidon, to me, has always represented the depths of the ocean - the dark abyss that we cannot see. In my personal practice I have often connected the oceans and sandy shores with more femininely aligned deities such as Aphrodite and Amphitrite. Due to these factors I have never had any interest in working with/worshipping Lord Poseidon.
Hades is an entity that I have always respected and admired, but I have never felt any connection with him or call to develop a relationship with his presence.
In this way, I would say that out of all the Theoi - The Olympian Triad are three entities that I feel the least connected to. I do not work with any of them regularly - but I do hold them in good regard and good respect.
*You may have seen these info sheets before on thewitchfarhan.tumblr.com - that is my old Tumblr. These info sheets are my own creation - please do not repost without credit.

30 Days of Deity Devotion
1.A basic introduction of the Deity.
Thanatos is the personification of Blessed Death, the God of Death. His most famous myths are when he was sent to fetch Alkestis to the underworld and was driven off by Herakles in a fight. And the other one (and became my favorite but I'll explain this in other post) is when he was captured by Sisyphos who trapped him a sack to avoid death. In Greek vase painting he was depicted was a winged, bearded old man and, more rarely, as a beard less youth (he showed to me like the a young man, with the black wings, was like the first image that appeared in mediation was his wings).
He is Nyx's son (Hesiod Theogony 212, Homer Iliad).
Unfortunately there isn't much information about him, he wasn't very talked about in Greek Mythology and there is almost none information about him besides this (belive me I've been trying to find >anything< about him but I couldn't, I'll continue to try tho).
I'm participating in the Lunar Tarot (in my language it's Tarot Lunar) and every month is with a new deity, this time she decided would be to connect with out guardian - which I had no clue who it was, I did a card identification and was Thanatos and I was very shocked (never thought about him, I mean, I did but not to work with?) But yeah, definitely him ( why all of a sudden I'm working just with chtonic deities?? I mean, besides Selene everyone is from the underworld lmao).
I'll make a post about how I found it was him (because was actually so cool I couldn't sleep because I was so shocked and excited cs of HOW obvious it was that I lost my alarm)
