Hades (Ἁιδης meaning ‘The Unseen’) was king of the underworld and god of the dead in Greek mythology. He presided over funeral rites and defended the right of the dead to due burial. Hades was also the god of the hidden wealth of the earth, from the fertile soil which nourished the seed-grain, to the mined wealth of gold, silver and other metals. As soon as he was born though he was devoured by Kronos (king of the titans) along with his siblings. However Zeus (king of the gods) later caused the Titan to disgorge them, and together they drove the Titan Gods from heaven and locked them away in the pit of Tartarus. When the three victorious brothers then drew lots for the division of the cosmos, Hades received the third portion, the dark dismal realm of the underworld, as his domain.
I just want to say how much I love Hades, because I truly truly love Him so much, I'm so grateful to have Him in my life, I'm so grateful He showed up to me this year, I wish there was words enough to express - there is tears almost falling right now- I was meditating and I asked Him to help me because I was having a really hard time and I asked him to help me and, in the middle of the meditation he said this "you are not just the broken parts, you are not just your trauma, you are not just your shadow - you are much more, there is so much beauty" (and in this moment I felt so loved, I wasn't expecting this at all but makes sense bc has been a while since I was able to shut my mind down and listen to Him, and I knew there was a lot He wanted to say - I got cards and I'm participating on a tarot project with a tarot reader I really trust and she said the same, He had a lot to say to me and I wasn't listening- but I wasn't expecting this, I felt such a strong energy like I was being hugged and felt so loved and I said that and you know when you "hear" the answer? He was like "you are loved"
P.S: to give a context here: I'm working on my trauma and in this meditation I realize some stuff about that was subconscious, and I realized that I think, sometimes and very unconscious, about these parts as ugly, as not lovable. It's not on purpose it juts... happens, so in the meditation we were working on this and that's the context about what He said to me!
Hi! I'm so happy with how this work turned out, I love Greek mythology, and I love the story of the abduction of spring to explain the change of seasons, I hope you like it!
I'll be working on a redrawing of the Lore Olympus panels to make the hiatus more bearable, if you want to join look for the instructions and calendar on the instagram profile @loreolympians
Alright, I just made four characters for Collektha Bounty since yesterday.
Arawn the celtic god of the damned , and his three hellhounds ( Cŵn Annwn ) are Réa , Slik , and Böler.
Arawn happens to be Grimskull’s arch rival, but despite of him being called a celtic good of the damned or the horned king, but he is also a hunter who hunts down lost souls or sinners in the human world or in the shadow realm, and taking them to Hell, but just because Arawn is a hunter, doesn’t mean he can’t be a bounty hunter just to get paid.
As for the Cŵn Annwn, ( Réa , Slik , and Böler ), well let’s just say they were adopted by Arawn at the Hellhound Adoption Foundation in the Sloth Ring, of course Arawn used to have nine hellhounds when he adopted them at that time, but unfortunately, Arawn only has three hellhounds, while his hunting partner, or in this case, his ex-hunting partner Mallt-y-Nos (Matilda of the Night) took six hellhounds from him by convincing the hellhounds to join her at her side of new ways to hunt, but that story still remains unknown.
